Wharton academy, Movie verse Alan POV
Alan was completing his senior year at Wharton academy. Already taking a few college courses, in the hopes of impressing his father. Alan did not only take them to make his family proud, but he couldn't deny that it was a big part of it. Alan did truly enjoy them. After that fateful spring break from hell, when Alan was fourteen years old, he had grown up a lot.
In the Tracy family's aftermath, of the Hood's attack, during the unitedly dubbed "the worst spring break in history", the air was finally properly cleared in Alans family. Which, in hindsight, was kind of an unavoidable repercussion after the home invasion and attempted murder by a mind controlling madman.
The Hood was trying to kill their entire family, but not before trying to manipulate Alan, to turn him against them. You needed to put all your cards on the table after a traumatising event like that. So, they did! It helped Alan's previously strained relationship with his family immensely!
Alan, finally, felt like he stepped out of the big shadow, his family unintentionally cast over him. If he could be useful as a troubled fourteen-year-old and save lives. What could Alan accomplish if he gave school his all? He was no longer fearing the possibility of failure as much as before. Alan slowly worked his way up. Not to pretend that everything went like a dance on roses afterwards. Not with school nor his family.
Is it not always challenging growing up during one's teenage years? Try adding a famous billionaire father, four older overachieving brothers, going to boarding school, almost getting murdered and wanting to join your family's secret rescue organisation full time. Alan thought he did pretty well, considering his circumstances.
Alan was still very close with Fermat and Tintin. The first helped him discover his love of learning and supported him through his rocky path in life, like a true best friend should. The latter gave him courage to be himself, while also motivating Alan, to strive to be the best version of himself he could be. The three became an inseparable teenage trio, after their traumatic ordeal as children. They were fundamentally crucial to each other, to overcome the mental scars the incident left on them.
As the years flew by, Alan found himself looking at Tintin more fondly. Feeling butterflies fluttering in his stomach when they spent time alone. Alan thought that he finally might be getting closer with Tintin, this time, in a romantic way.
Having harboured a steadily growing crush on her, for the last three years, Alan scrutinised all their shared moments, trying to figure out if she felt the same. Being inexperienced made Alan nervus. Tintin was too important to him, to make a mistake regarding revealing romantic feelings. The last thing he wanted to do was unintentionally make Tintin uncomfortable. Alan tried to play it cool while he was second guessing everything he did internally. Letting Tintin set a pace, that she was comfortable with. Alan was already head over heels in love with her. He could wait forever if he just could be so lucky to have her as his partner!
Alan appreciated how he, after the Hoods unwelcome visit three years ago, could stay updated on his family's health during rescues. It made him worry a lot less for his family, when he couldn't be there with them, guarding their backs. This entirely removed, one of the bigger points of conflicts at home. Alan finally felt included. Staying in the loop of his family's health worked wonders for managing his anxiety.
Alan had been informed of the dimension travellers. Both he and Fermat was geeking out, discussing the possible science behind it. Science was so much cooler when you understood enough to begin to apply it! The thought of the other version of him and his brother Gordon, were at his home on Tracy Island, was both cool and strange at the same time. At least they didn't seem to be a danger to his family. That was the most important part to Alan.
On the fourth day after his family had picked up their otherworldly visitors, the islands intruder alarm was set off in the middle of the night. Alan panicked, remembering the previous time it happened three years ago. He had to get home! He had to protect his family! This was not allowed to happen again!
Alan woke his best friend Fermat up. Thanking his lucky star that they still shared a dorm room. Not getting an answer the first time, they called home, did nothing to help ease the two teens ever-growing concern.
Together, the two boys decided it was best to call in backup. Mr Parker and Lady Penelope were good family friends, who were crucial to defeat the Hood the last time! Deciding to call Mr Parker, not thinking it would be appropriate to try to reach and wake Lady Penelope, without talking to him first. With or without help, the two teens were determined to find a way to help their family.
Lady Penelope POV, Creighton-Ward manor, Movie verse
Lady Penelope was woken up in the middle of the night by an emergency message from Brains. The intruder alarm had been triggered on Tracy Island and they were requesting assistance. A lady would never deny a call for assistance, especially from a close ally.
Lady Penelope immediately decided to answer the call to action. Getting up from her bed. Efficiently getting dressed. She was surprised to see Mr Parker already up and dressed in the middle of the night. Meeting her, on his way to her room, in the manor's big hallways.
Parker informed her, that he had been asked for a ride by Alan and Fermat. The boys were worried about their family. Lady Penelope thought back to the unfortunate incident three years ago. The boys had been essential to save their family and they had more than proven themselves. Who was she to stand in their way of helping the people they loved?
Lady Penelope would bet money, on that those two boys would find another way back home, if she would deny them their request for a ride. Not that a Lady ever would do something as scandalous as gamble. She had already made up her mind and resigned herself to an argument with Jeff later. Lady Penelope agreed with Parker's assessment of the two teenagers. Those two could be resourceful. Best not to tempt fate by leaving those two, to their own devices. The fact that Lady Penelope had developed a soft spot in her heart, for the two boys, helped as well.
"Please pull up the car, Parker. We are going for a ride." Lady Penelope told her butler.
"At once, my Lady." Her trusted companion and friend responded.
"Hold on boys, we are on our way." Lady Penelope thought while they set off.
