it was now morning at Hogwarts and the first years were all in the great hall eating breakfast

"You two are so lucky that Kevin always wakes me up for her breakfast otherwise I would've left you two to get lost" Naruto said as he ate some bacon
"Who's Kevin?" Hermione asked as she didn't meet the toucan yet
"Speaking of Kevin the mails here" Neville said as owls galore flew above them dropping off mail to the students
soon a familiar squawk was heard and Kevin was spotted flying over with Hedwig close behind
Kevin landed on Naruto's head and bonked him on his head twice with her beak before she spat a letter at him making the students laugh
"Oh no" Naruto said as he looked at the letter in his hands
"Look everyone, Uzumaki's got himself a howler" Seamus said with a laugh

"I may know something about that, Hagrid was there with me, said it was official Hogwarts business" Harry said as he looked at the paper
Before anyone could say anything Kevin gave out a call
"Oh right right who has spare fruit?" Naruto said as he knew what his bird wanted

"Oh she wants something with juice" Hermione said as she held up a orange to the bird who took it happily before she bonked Hermione on the head with her beak

"Well classes start in the hour, best not be late" Naruto said as he got up
"Yea it will probably take a while to find our first class" Dean said

"First is transfiguration class with Professor McGonagall" Naruto said as he held up his schedule
"You should know miss McGonagall passed out the schedules when we came in for breakfast" Hermione said with a frown

"Well more that I can tell since I have seen mom transform a lot and if you pay attention you can tell" Naruto said as he smiled
"ah very true Mr Uzumaki but if a animagus is good enough they can blend in but 5 points to Gryffindor for being able to tell all the same" McGonagall said as she nodded in approval

"I'll tell you later just get in your seet before she transfigures you into a map or something" Naruto said with a chuckle

As apparently that's where Professor Snape's potions class was at, including where you'd find the Slytherin common room

"As such I don't expect you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion making, but for the select few that do, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses, how to bottle glory and brew fame and even put a stopper in death
everyone listed to this while next to Naruto Harry was taking notes of what Snape said
"Then again maybe some of you are already so adapt that you don't feel the need to pay attention Snape said firmly as he glared at Harry
Harry looked up at this and sheepishly looked down

it was now lunchtime and everyone was eating while looking over there books
"Eye of rabbit, harp string hum, turn this water into rum!" Seamus was saying as he waved his wand at a goblet of water
"What's Seamus trying to do to that water glass?" Harry asked curiously
"Trying to turn it to Rum, last time he got a weak tea until-" Ron was saying before he was cut off

soon the mail arrived and Neville actually got a package from his grandmother and when he opened it he saw that he had gotten a glass ball with smoke in it
"Hey look, Neville's got a remembrall" Dean said getting everyone's attention
"I read about those when the smoke turns red it means you have forgotten something Hermione explained as the smoke turned red
"Only thing is… I can't remember what I've forgotten" Neville said as he frowned
"Yea they need to make one that at least gives you a hint to what it was" Naruto said as he patted Neville on the back
"That would make it easier to remember what you've forgotten." Ron said as he nodded
"Come on we have flying class" Naruto said as he chuckled at Seamus failed attempt
(Broomstick riding lessons)
the Gryffindor and Slytherin first years were all lined up in the courtyard each of them next to old looking broom while a older woman with short white hair was there
"Good afternoon, class" said the teacher, Madam Hooch
"Good afternoon Madam Hooch" the class said together
"Welcome to your first flying lesson. Well what're you waiting for? I want you to raise your right hand over your broom and say up" madam hooch said as she held her arm out for emphasis
"Up!" Naruto and Harry said as their broomsticks went up on the first try
"With feeling" Madam Hooch said to those still not having their broomsticks go up
"Up!" Ron said for the upteenth time only for his broom to go up and smack him in the face
Harry and Naruto covered their mouth to stop themselves from laughing
"shut up you two" Ron said as he smiled not mad as he had to admit this was funny
Naruto looked at Hermione and saw that she was having trouble with her broom which only rolled over
"Need some help?" Naruto asked curiously
Hermione said nothing but she nodded sheepishly
"You have to be firm, think of it like a cat you don't ask a cat you tell them" Naruto explained
"... Up!" Hermione yelled as it went straight into her hand
"Well done miss Granger and Mr Uzumaki 5 points to Gryffindor for helping a fellow student" Madam hooch said as she nodded
soon everyone had their brooms
"Now, once you've got hold of your broom, I want you to mount it, and grip it tight. You don't want to be sliding off the end. Now when I blow my whistle I want you to kick off the ground hard, keep your brooms steady, hover for a moment, then lean forward slightly and touch back down. Ready?"
When Madame Hooch blew her whistle Neville's broom suddenly started to go up and up and up before going all over the place
It even almost ran over the class as they jumped out of the way
"Mr Longbottom came down this instant!" madam Hooch yelled out
"his fear is making the broom go nuts" Naruto yelled as they all watched Neville be pulled around on his broom
Finally the broom shook Neville off making him hang from a stone carving in the castle wall by his robe

"Cushionus!" Naruto yelled as a white light left his wand before what looked like a cloud appeared under where Neville was gonna drop
Neville safety landed on the cloud but after a moment it popped
"Mom taught me that when I was in my tree climbing phase mine don't last long though Naruto said as he grumbled at the fact his spell didn't last long since he was still new
"Out of my way." Madam Hooch said as she ran over to Neville who groaned when she touched his hand
""Ooh, ooh, might be a sprain." Madam Hooch said as she helped Neville to his feet
"Alright, I don't want a single person in the air whole i take mr longbottom to the hospital wing , the person who is caught just might find themselves out of Hogwarts faster than they can say Quidditch"
after madam hooch and Neville left Malfoy laughed at this
"Did you see his face? Maybe if the fat lump had given this a squeeze, he'd have remembered to fall on his fat ass." Malfoy said holding Neville's Remembrall
this got laughs from some of the Slytherin's
"Give it here Malfoy." Harry said as he approached
Malfoy looked at Harry with a sneer. How about no? i think I'll leave it on the roof" Malfoy said as he got on his broom and took off flying
Harry scowled at this before he got on his broom
"Harry no you heard what madam hooch said you don't even know how to fly Hermione said as she tried to warn her classmate

Harry lunged the broom forward only for Malfoy to spin around staying perfectly on his broom still holding the Remembrall up
"Have it your way then" malfoy said before he threw the remembrall
Harry shot off after it making Malfoy and even Naruto shake a little as they quickly got their balance
"Definitely got his dads broom skills" Naruto muttered before he turned to malfoy "Get on the ground before you get yourself hurt"
"Eh fine, after that last party where you went all animal on me I ain't tempting it again" Malfoy said as he headed down
"Gots his mom's brains a little" Naruto muttered as he knew when Malfoy learned some spells this might change
Harry then flew back to them after he easily caught the remembrall
the Gryffindor students ran over to him cheering at this
"Nice one Harry" Ron said as he patted Harry on the back

"I saw that Mr Malfoy 20 points for instigating a fight" Madam Hooch said with a firm tone and a glare at the Slytherin

"Nice job Malfoy" a first year Slytherin with light blonde hair said this was Daphne Greengrass
"Stow it Greengrass" Malfoy said with a scowl
Daphne scoffed at this as she looked away from Malfoy and looked after Harry with a look of interest

Naruto and Ron were walking with Harry after he had told them what happened with McGonagall
"Seeker? first years never make the house teams" Ron said as he had a shocked look on his face
"Not in a century at least" Naruto said as he did keep up with Quidditch since his mom loved it
"Hey well done Harry Angelina just told us" Fred said as him and his twin approached the trio and walked with them
"Fred and George are on the team too, beaters." Ron said as he smiled
"Our job is to make sure you don't get bloodied up to bad George said with a smile
"Can't make any promises of course, rough game quidditch"

"Oh yeah only woman to chase a opponent with her beater bat" Fred said with a laugh along with his twin
"Yea they call that kind of foul a Uzumaki now" George said as he nodded
"But don't worry Harry, after all you've got quidditch in your blood" Hermione said making her presence known

in a picture there was what looked like a teen Kushina being held back by her team as she attempted to take a swing at James Potter with her beater club

"Your mom tried to attack my dad? Why?" Harry asked surprised
"Eh, she had didn't like him hitting on your mom back then" Naruto said as he chuckled
"Your mom was his mom's friend?" Hermione asked curiously as Harry already knew this
"Yeah, along with Draco's mom, it's why she insists on him and me trying to be friends" Naruto said with a small shake of his head
"Oh wow" Ron said as he couldn't imagine a more scary trio
"Well Angelina is gonna show me how to play Quidditch, you can watch if you want" Harry said
"I'lI'go with I know a few things about the game thanks to mom" Naruto said as he was willing to help his friend out

The group of 4 were heading back to the Gryffindor common room via the staircases
it's weird they know more about you then you do" Ron said to Harry as he gestured to Naruto and Hermione

"it feels like we shouldn't be here Ron said as he looked around
"That's because we're not, it's the third floor." Hermione said
they then heard a slamming sound
"move!" Harry yelled as he led the way to a door nearby which they hoped would lead them out of here
Ron pulled on the doors handle but it wouldn't budge
"Locked!" Harry said as he frowned
we're done for Ron said as he started to panic
"Move." Hermione said as she got her wand "Alohomora." She said as the door locked flashed before she opened it
everyone piled into the room as the caretaker filch and his cat Mrs Norris made their way down the hall
"Alohomora? Ron asked Hermione curiously
"Standard book of spells chapter 7 come on Ron." Naruto said
"Not bad" Naruto added with a impressed smile at Hermione
"But why was it locked?" Ron asked as they all looked into the room they just entered
"That's why." Harry said as before them was a large three headed dog
"Nobody move… mystical animal knowledge don't fail me now." Naruto muttered
the door looked at them and scoffed at the k and started to growl
Naruto grabbed something from his pocket and threw it at the dog
"dungbomb move!" Naruto yelled as the room filled with brown smoke
The dog whimpered as it rubbed its noses while the group left the room
(Gryffindor common room)
everyone ran into the common room painting after there close shave with filch and the three headed dog
"What was that?" Harry panted out at Naruto
"A dungbomb is perfect for a distraction,3 headed dogs have a super sense of smell, he'll be smelling that for hours" Naruto said
"3 headed dog, like Cerberus?" Harry asked
"He's the more famous of the species but yes, but why is one in the school?" Naruto asked
yea what are they thinking keeping a monster like that in a school Ron said as they all approached the stairs which led upstairs
"Didn't you look at the floor, there was a trap door there" Hermione said as she shook her head
"The floor, no I was too busy looking at it's heads" Ron said as he was still panicking a bit
"Huh so its guarding something" Naruto said as he thought about this
"Now I'm going to bed before you all get us killed or worse expelled Hermione said with a huff as she went upstairs to the girls side

"You're a little early Potter I like that" Angelina said as she smiled at Harry before she looked at Naruto ah Uzumaki right?" she asked as she had heard that him and Harry were friends
"That's me" Naruto said as he waved
"well try to stay out of the way, Now, Quidditch is rather easy to understand, each team has 7 players, 3 chasers, 2 beaters, 1 keeper and 1 seeker, that's you"
"don't worry me and Ron gave him a crash course on the basics the past few days" Naruto said as he smiled
Good." Angelina said as she put down a box and opened it
"So you know what the quaffle is then" She said passing it to him
"yea thats the ball the chasers and keepers handle right?" Harry asked hoping he was remembering right
"Yes, good, now comes the 2 other types of balls… you might want to hold these" Angelina said handing them two beater sticks
"Hope I inherited my mom's talent" Naruto said as he held his bat
"I don't we don't need another red death on the field" Angelina said with a chuckle
Angelina then undid the latch on one of the shaking balls as it shot into the air
"Careful now it's coming back" Angelina said
the bludger flew at Naruto but he missed his swing but Harry struck it and sent it flying perfectly going between two of a statues swords
"not bad Potter and Uzumaki your technique sucks" Angelina said
"Coming back again" Naruto said as the Bludger was coming back
as the bludger flew at them again Naruto threw the bat away and caught the bludger
Angelina's eyes widened at this as that was a good catch and that was a bludger
He then shook as it tried to get out of his hands
"You ain't going anywhere!" Naruto said with a laugh and he forced the bludger back into the box
"Not bad Uzumaki, you'd make a fair keeper." Angelina said as she smiled at the first year
"Thanks I would like to do that Naruto said as he was hoping to make the team someday
"Well… Olliver Wood got kicked off for being too rough with the team so we're down a player and we have been looking for a new keeper." Angelina said as she knew catching a bludger was hard
"Well mom says Uzumakis don't back down from a challenge" Naruto said
"Yeah you can say that again." Angelina muttered with a chuckle "Ok Uzumaki I'll give you a shot I'll ask McGonagall but I'm sure she will say yes"
"Awesome" Naruto said with a grin as Angelina went back to teaching Harry

everyone was sitting at their table eating breakfast
"Halloween is coming up soon, mom says the desserts on the tables are amazing." Naruto said
"I heard that there's floating jack-o-lanterns." Hermione said as she looked up at the Sly

they all opened the packages Ron and Harry did Harry's and Naruto and Hermione did his own
they all looked on surprise as they saw what looked like two black well crafted brooms Narutos had orange painted metal on it while Harry's had red painted metal
"Nimbus 2001" Hermione read on Naruto Broomstick
"that's impossible nimbus only goes up to 2000, 2001's aren't expected for another year" Ron said in shock
"Mom must have went extra and got first rights to the next model" Naruto said as he chuckled
"Your mom is the best" Harry said with a smile at his new broom
"Wait why do you need a Broom?" Ron asked Naruto curiously
"I'm the new Keeper." Naruto said as he smiled proudly
"Just try not to attack your opponents Mr Uzumaki" professor Flitwick said as he approached
"I won't… hopefully" Naruto said as Flitwick walked away chuckling a little at Naruto's answer
"Remind me how he's your favorite teacher?" Ron asked
"Because I want to be a professional duelist when I grow up, were you paying attention to that trophy case, almost all those dueling trophies were won by that man" Naruto said making their eyes widen in surprise
"Duelist?" Harry asked curiously
"Wand duels, it's a actual thing, I have a few books on the subject you can read them if you want" Naruto said as he smiled at his friend

it was now halloween and The group was in professor Flitwhick's classes each of the students had a feather in front of them
"One of the Wizard's most rudimentary skills is the art of levitation, or the ability to make objects fly, now do you all have your feathers?" Professor Flitwick asked his class as he stood on a stack of books
Hermione and Naruto held their feathers up making Ron flinch as it tickled his nose as he was between Naruto and Hermione

Hermione as well as Naruto decided to enlighten him as they grabbed their wands
"Wingardium Leviosa." They said in perfect sync with the wand movement which caused their feathers to levitate off the desk
Ron grumbled at this and placed his head on his desk

everyone looked and saw Seamus's covered in soot after he caused a explosion destroying his feather
"I think we're going to need another feather over here professor" Harry said as he helped Seamus put out the small fire

Naruto Ron and Harry were walking out of class together and heading for the great hall for the Halloween feast
"It's Leviosa, not Leviosar. I swear she's a nightmare, no wonder she doesn't have any friends ." Ron said as he mocked Hermione's tone before he scowled
"You're only ticked because she-" Naruto was cut off as Hermione walked fast past them with her head down and her books close to her
Naruto then turned to him and smacked him on the head

(Later that night)
everyone was in the great hall and The houses tables covered in various treats and sweets which the students were enjoying happily
But Harry and Naruto noticed Hermione wasn't at the table
"Where's Hermione?" Harry asked Seamus who was sitting next to him
"Pavarri Patel said she's been in the girls bathroom crying Seamus said as he frowned a little
Harry and Naruto looked at Ron between them who paused and frowned as he didn't mean to cause her to cry
"I'm gonna go see if she's OK" Naruto said as he got before glaring at Ron again making him jump back a little before he earned out of the great hall
"I think when he and Hermione come back you should apologize Ron" Harry said
Ron said nothing at this before he ate some more
"I wouldn't test him little brother from what mom says Uzumakis are mean when it comes to friends getting hurt" Fred said from his seat nearby
"Yea mom said one time in school Kushina hung a hug out of the astronomy tower window just for calling a friend a name" Geroge said with a grin
Ron paled at this and made a mental not to apologize
suddenly the great hall doors burst open
"TROLL… IN THE DUNGEON, TROLL IN THE DUNGEON!!" Professor Quirrel ran into the hall screaming getting everyone's attention "Thought you'd want to know." he said before fainting
Suddenly the students began to freak out and start to panic
"SILENCE!" Dumbledore raised his voice getting everyone's attention "Everyone will please not panic, now prefects will lead their houses back to the dorminatries, teachers will follow me to the dungeons" he said calmly
everyone started to get up and follow there prefects
Although Harry noticed Snape had taken the back exit heading for who knows where
"How can a troll get into the castle?" Harry asked Ron as they walked
"Don't know, trolls are really stupid, probably people pulling a prank." Ron said before Harry stopped
"Wait! Naruto and Hermione ! Harry said in a panic
Ron's eyes widened at thus before they all ran down the hallway
(With Naruto)
Naruto was outside the girls bathroom
"I'm not going away Hermione and I will stay here as long as it takes" Naruto yelled so she could hear him
"Go away! why do you even care?"
"cause your my friend!" Naruto's yelled as he opened the door and saw Hermione on the other side with a surprised look on her face
before Hermione could respond shocked behind Naruto and she slightly paled

"Hermione please tell me that was your stomach" Naruto said as he was hoping his instincts were wrong
Hermione shaily raised a hand as Naruto turned around to come face to leg with a fully grown mountain troll
"Oh come on, first a cerberus and now a troll, what's next Hogwarts a Basilisk?!" Naruto yelled
Hermione grabbed Naruto and pulled him into the girl's bathroom to hide
The troll then pushed the door open grabbing its club
"Know any spells to fight that thing?Hermione asked as they hid in a stall
"A-a couple I got from reading my mom's journals and stuff" Naruto said as hevtook out his wand
suddenly the troll smashed the stalls with a swing of his club
Hermione screamed as her and Naruto ducked
"Hey pea brain!
The troll turned its head to look at Harry and Ron as they threw chunks of the destroyed stalls at its head
Naruto grabbed Hermione's hand and pulled her along the destroyed stalls hoping to put any amount of distance between them and the mountain troll
Only for the troll to return its notice to them and roar as he raised his club ready to swing it again
Naruto in a panic pointed his wand at the mountain troll Bombarda Maxima! he bellowed
his wand glowed at this and …..
(outside the bathroom)
McGonagall Snape and Quirrell were running towards the girls bathroom where they heard screaming and as they approached the door
BOOOM!
a explosion went off blasting the wall of the girls bathroom wide open and sending wood and what looked like pieces of troll flying out of the massive hole
"Beard of Merlin" Snape said as the explosion ended
"So… that's what that spell does when aimed at a living thing" Naruto said as he panted for breath
"Oh my goodness! explain yourselves all of you!" McGonagall yelled as she ran in and saw the students
"I would love to explain but I can't keep my eyes open" Naruto groaned as he fell back into Hermione's arms passed out making her blush at how close they now were
""Is he OK?" Ron asked in a panic
"He just performed a spell called Bombarda Maxima and… well you can see what happened" Hermione said pointing with her hewd at the massive hole in the wall and what was left of the mountain troll
"ah that explains it, foolish boy used a high level spell and drained his magic" Snape sneered
"reckless just like his mother" McGonagall said as she sighed Ok let's get Mr Uzumaki to the hospital wing madame pomfrey will have him on his feet easily she
"h-how did he even know such a -s- spell?" Quirrel asked as Snape used a spell to levitate Naruto out of Hermione's arms
"His mothers old notebooks " Hermione said remembering what Naruto's said
"Why are you two here anyway, why was Uzumaki here?" Snape asked curiously
"h-he was comforting me while I was upset and the troll surprised us" Hermione said as she hopped Naruto's would be ok
"and you two?" McGonagall asked Harry and Ron
"When we heard Hermione was still in the bathroom not hearing about the troll we decided to go and get her"
"And you didn't think to tell a teacher?" McGonagall asked with a raised eyebrow
"Hey Quirrel said it was in the dungeon we didn't think it'd come up here" Ron said as he frowned
"You were both still foolish for not alerting one of us Mr Weasley 5 points will be taken from each of you" McGonagall said as she knew they mentioned well but they were still foolish in their decision
Harry and Ron nodded at this
as for Mr Uzumaki……20 points for comforting a friend and a impressive display of using a high end spell" McGonagall said as the three students smiled
"W-well let's g-get a move on, not like it's going to get back up" Quirrel said as he chuckled nervously as they all left
before he looked at the ceiling where there was a lot of blood from the killed mountain troll
"that boy is reckless like his mother……he may be a problem" a voice coming from Quirrel's turben said with a hissing tone
"I'll keep a closer eye on him… master"
"see that you do Uzumaki's are known to be problems if crossed" the voice hissed out as Quirrel left the bathroom
