Last place we left off, our favouraite hero kids of the Hamato Clan and the Chicago Knights took part in a Talent Show!
I wonder what the outcome is? Well read below to find out.

Chapter Fourteen
After another hour and a half, the talent show was over, and the announcer came on stage to thank the audience for their support as well as the sponsors for the event, to the judges who had been at the right-hand side of the stage watching and observing all the performances, and to announce the winners of the show in the different categories.
The five kids watched as the top ten performers in the show were called to the stage.
The Categories included, Singers, Dancers, Comedians, acrobats, musicans, animal acts and a few more.
It was decided that out of the top ten chosen, three would win the top prizes which were a cash prize.
$100 was first prize.
$50.00 was second prize.
And $25.00 was third prize.
Just then, Kemeko heard her name be called in the Dancers' category and with the encouragement of the others, she walked onto the stage, yet as she did, she saw the Street Dancers glaring at her.
Kemeko bit her lip, yet she took a breath and decided to ignore them and stood next to a ballet couple and the Transformers Dancers from earlier.
Pandora, Freya, and Loki hadn't been called forward, but they didn't mind especially since they only joined the show to join in and have fun, but they were happy for Kemeko and wondered if she would win a prize.
Out of the singers that won the three top prizes were the Viking Opera singer (3rd) A young man in his twenties who had played guitar and sang his own song (2nd) and a Barbershop quartet of skeletons who had sung Halloween songs (1st)
Each of them had walked away with a certificate as well as a cash prize, those who were in the top ten also got a certificate.
It was the same for the other categories as the top three won 1st,2nd and 3rd place with a certificate and cash prize whilst the others just got a certificate.
Finally, they announced the winners of the Dancers, and the kids all held their breath and crossed their fingers (Or in Freya and Loki's case, held their thumbs) for their human cousin.
"In third place!" the announcer said, "The Transformers Dancers!"
The Transformers cheered and fist bumped then collected their prize from the announcer as well as thanked the judges and bowed to the audience.
"Awww!" Loki groaned "I thought they deserved the top prize!"
Freya, Pandora, and Sonia just chuckled then looked back at the stage.
"In second place." The announcer continued "The Ballet Couple!"
The ballet couple embraced then danced over to collect their prize as well as congratulate the Transformers dancers who in turn did the same to them.
"And in First place!" everyone held their breath, and the kids held each other's hands.
"SAMARA MORGAN!" the announcer shouted and Kemeko's jaw dropped.
"No way!" she squealed and looked at the audience who cheered and clapped and the judges nodded at her confirming that she was the winner.
"Well done kid!" the male dancer of the ballet couple praised "Go get your prize!"
Kemeko blinked then on shaky legs she walked over to receive her prize.
As she did, she looked over to see the Street Dancers looking disappointed, but the girl had a face like thunder and was glaring harder at her.
Kemeko gulped and walked faster, she knew they were mad that they didn't win, but that wasn't her problem, they just had to deal with it.
"Well done!" the announcer said "That was amazing! I tell you what, you looked so convincing as Samara, I was shaking in my boots!"
Kemeko laughed as she received her prize, and the announcer ruffled her hair "You are one talented kid!" he said and Kemeko grinned again as the cameras went off around her.
She then stood with the other winners and a couple of photographers from the Chicago Newspapers took photos then after all the winners were announced, Kemeko went back to her cousins.
As she did so, she was greeted by Pandora grabbing her and scooping her up.
"She did it!" the Hybrid squealed "That's my cousin! That's my honoured sister!"
"Atta girl Kem!" Freya shouted.
"Yeah!" Loki clapped "Better than all the rest!"
Sonia ruffled Kemeko's hair.
"Well done cousin!" she praised "You deserved that!"
Kemeko grinned.
"Thanks guys!" she said, "I can't wait to show dad!"
"He's proud of you for sure!" Pandora promised.
Kemeko laughed then looked at her dress.
"Oh well, I'm going back to change, then I'll be back then we can go and find the grown-ups?"
"Sounds like a plan!" Sonia agreed.
"Good idea!" Freya nodded.
Kemeko held up her dress and quickly scurried away, as she did, she failed to notice that the Street Dancers were watching her with anger, and then began to follow her yet they had failed to realise that as Freya, Loki and Sonia chatted excitedly, Pandora had seen them out the corner of her eye and after seeing the looks on their faces as they followed her cousin, the hybrid felt that something wasn't right.
Keeping her blue eyes on the Street Dancers, Pandora tapped Sonia's shoulder and directed her head towards them.
"What is it?" the chameleon asked raising an eyebrow.
"I didn't like the way those guys were looking at Kemeko, and they're following her, somethings not right." Pandora reported.
Sonia looked confused but she agreed to follow Pandora and urged Freya and Loki to come with her.
"I hope you're not going to cause trouble Pandora." Sonia thought to herself "Whatever you've seen."
Meanwhile Kemeko made it to the back and quickly slipped off her white dress and got dressed back as Kitana.
She then went to a small mirror started to do her hair up again in the bun and add the accessories, as she did, she heard a small sound then saw in the mirror the girl from the Street Dancers troupe.
Kemeko's stomach lurched, especially when she saw the look on the girl's face, and it was a hard frown.
"So, you think you're so it, huh?" the girl snarled.
Kemeko turned around.
"What?" she asked confused.
"You think you're the best dancer?" the girl snapped and clenched her fists "I worked so hard to get into this show! I've performed here many times! Always made it to the top three! But you? You stole my thunder!"
"I didn't steal anything!" Kemeko argued as sweat began to form on her forehead.
This girl was a lot taller and bigger than her and looked ready to fight, not that Kemeko was worried as she knew her ninja training, but she really didn't want to fight, especially when her father always told her to never use her fighting skills unless in dire need when amongst the humans.
"I've never seen you before, you don't even live here in Chicago," The girls shouted as she held up her hands "And you steal my thunder? Well, I'm gonna take it back slant eyes!"
Kemeko winced and stepped back, she picked up her cash prize and her certificate and looked around to try and find a way around the girl to get back to her cousins.
She didn't want to fight, and she didn't want to draw attention to herself, but she started to wonder whether she would have to fight.
"Look!" Kemeko said holding up her hand "You don't want to do this!"
"Oh, I do Jap! I do!" the girl spat "I'll snap you like a twig!"
Kemeko swallowed hard and tried to think of something else to say or do to reason with this angry and rather racist sore loser.
"Look! I'm sorry you didn't win; I didn't ask to win! You and your boys did great! Maybe you'll do better next time?"
'Shut up Jap!" the girl screamed "Just shut up! That prize was rightfully mine and you, some arrogant immigrant stole it from me!" she stepped towards Kemeko again and as she did, Kemeko tripped on some large wires and fell backwards.
Kemeko was shocked but she quickly rolled backwards and ended up on her knees, and it was then she saw the girl reach down to grab her.
Kemeko gave a yelp and dodged before standing up, but the girl swiped at her and grabbed her hair!
"Give me back my prize!" the girl demanded as she pulled Kemeko down and tried to snatch the prize from her hands.
"Let go!" Kemeko shouted "Let go of my hair!"
"Give me that cash prize!" the girl screamed again.
Kemeko grabbed her girl's hand that was on her hair and tried to prise her fingers off, and her other hand held onto her certificate and cash prize, it was then she realised that this girl could not be reasoned with and she had no choice but to fight back.
Quickly dropped her prizes, she put her fingers and thumb together like a snake's head and struck the girl hard in the shoulder, taking advantage of her snake kung fu training she had learnt from her Aunt Monalisa causing the girl to yell and let go of her hair.
Kemeko then scooped up her prizes and went to run for the exit, yet the girl grabbed her ankle causing her to trip!
Kemeko cried out as she fell, and she turned to see the girl jump on her before she could try to move away again or even fight back!
"Gotcha Jap Bitch!" the girl growled as she sat on Kemeko's back "You give me those prizes!"
"NO!" Kemeko shouted defiantly "I won them! You lost! Get over it!"
The girl gritted her teeth in anger and raised her fist, but a hand appeared and grabbed it!
Kemeko's eyes widened, and she soon saw the hand belonged to none other than Pandora!
"Get your filthy hands off my cousin you bully!" Pandora spat as she squeezed the girl's wrist and started to twist it making her yell in pain.
The girl tried to resist against Pandora, but it was soon clear who was the strongest as Pandora pushed harder.
Seeing the girl's weight had loosened on herself, Kemeko quickly crawled away and was relieved to see not only had Pandora arrived, but Sonia, Freya and Loki had too!
"Kemeko!" Loki cried "Are you alright?"
Kemeko nodded, although her hair was a mess, her face was flushed, and tears were in her eyes.
Sonia went over and hugged the Asian girl to comfort her, then looked at Pandora who was towering over the girl and had grabbed her other wrist when the girl tried to fight back.
"Some sore loser you are!" Pandora spat at the shocked girl "You're pathetic! You're a coward! You think you can bully others because you didn't get what you want? You make me sick!"
"Pandora!" Sonia called over "That's enough!"
"You bully! I hate bullies!" Pandora continued to shout, "I should break your legs, so you'll never dance again!"
"Pandora! I said that's enough!" Sonia barked.
"She's not worth it!" Freya joined in "Kemeko's safe!"
"Yeah!" Loki agreed "Come on!"
"Pandora! Let go of that girl, you've made your point! I think she gets it! Let's go!" Sonia said in a loud stern voice.
Pandora glowered then looked at the girl before loosening her wrist on her wrists, but not before pushing her in her chest with her foot making her fall backwards then spat on her.
"Pitiful!" she growled then turned back to the other kids.
"Let's go!" she said leading the others outside.
As soon as they were back in the street, Freya helped Kemeko fix her hair as well as check for any bruising.
"Man, I never realised that girl would sink so low!" Loki said in an angry voice.
Kemeko looked at her cousins.
"How did you find me?" she asked.
"Pandora spotted them following you." Sonia explained as she looked at the hybrid, "The girl was looking angry and after her boyfriends had gone off to another area, she followed you."
"I sensed something wasn't right." Pandora snarled crossing her arms "And my senses were correct!"
"Yes, they were." Sonia said in a low voice "And yet, even though you stopped that girl, there was no need to go to the extremes."
"She deserved it!" Pandora scoffed.
"She's got a point!" Freya cut in as she placed the last piece of hair jewellery into Kemeko's hair "There we go!"
"Thanks Freya." Kemeko said in gratitude.
"I still would have liked to have broken her legs." Pandora continued.
"Pandora!" Sonia exclaimed.
"That's a little extreme!" Loki cried.
"After what she tried to do…" Pandora started but Sonia stopped her.
"Don't you remember anything of what Uncle Tyroth said?" the Chameleon asked, "After what you almost tried to do to that Drug Dealer?"
Pandora opened her mouth and closed it again as she remembered her meeting with her parents, Tyroth, Jack, Sharky and Devina.
Yes, the girl had been wrong as well as cruel to attack her cousin and honoured sister, and she was very protective of her family and friends, but she did have a fiery temper, just like her father and she had almost lost control again.
Pandora's shoulders slumped and she sighed.
"I guess you're right." She said "I was just…. just…"
"We know!" Sonia comforted putting an arm around the hybrid's shoulders "We know how much you love and want to protect Kemeko, and even though you put that bully in her place, there was no need to be so extreme."
"I sure loved seeing that girls face!" Freya joined in "She looked like she was going to crap her pants!"
"Yeah!" Loki agreed "No-one messes with Pandora!"
Pandora smiled softly then Kemeko went over and hugged her cousin and honoured sister.
"Thanks for watching my back Pandora!" she smiled, and Pandora hugged her back.
"What are sisters, cousins, team-mates for?" she asked.
The kids laughed together then Sonia looked at her watch.
"Come on gang." She said, "Let's go and find the grown-ups, and I'm getting hungry!"
"Good idea!" Pandora grinned then clasped Kemeko's hand as well as Loki's who in turn took his sisters "Come on guys!"
And the others were only too happy to follow.
So Kemeko won first prize in the dancers category! Well done that girl!
But some jealous loser tried to steal it off her! Terrible thing jealousy!
And Pandora showed her rage! Like father like daughter for sure! She really needs to be careful and grateful her cousins were tere to stop her before she went any further!
Again, I preach to everyone, if you witness any racist attacks or any bullying behaviour, don't ignore it! If you or someone you know if being bullied or attacked for just being who you are, report it and don't let the bullies get away with it!
