Chapter 3

Greetings readers! I hope that all of you enjoyed reading the previous chapter!

Guest reviewer: It's great to have you here! You've been such an integral part of my Tale Of Perseus trilogy and I am thrilled to have you on-board this journey as well! You're right, Percy is very jaded with heroism in this story and that is something I am going to explore and expand on as the story progresses, which will be soon. Making the Olympians aliens is basically the easiest way to combine both universes in a smooth and effective way. But, as you have noticed, he has not entirely lost his sense of heroism. He has buried it down as deeply as possible. But it still rears his head once in a while. And this gives me fantastic leeway to chart a good character arc. Thank you for your continued support!

Guest reviewer: Diana was not involved in most of the fight because it took her time to realise that there was a fight and come to the field. Thank you for your support!

I would like to thank CRUDEN for your support!

Guest reviewer: Aquaman and his people don't exist in this crossover universe because it'll be weird to have him when Percy is already there. Also, Diana was not involved in most of the fight because it took her time to realise that there was a fight and come to the field. Thank you for your support!

DARK WRAITH 2001: Yes, unfortunately, this crossover trope is one of the least explored. And the few crossovers that do exist are of Percy being a part of Young Justice and I don't like those either. I feel it trivialises Percy's power and that is something I do not intend to do with this story. Thank you for your support!

HughJasz: Percy is reluctant to be a hero, but he still has some heart buried under the outer layer of an amoral hedonist. That's why he got involved initially. And once he got involved, there was no point in running and letting Doomsday get even stronger, not after it had taken in his scent. Bruce's paranoia about needing to know everything is something I will touch on soon and I will also expand on how Percy deals with it. Constructive criticism is always welcome but I ask for a little patience. This is a full story, not standalone one-shots. It will make more sense as the story goes on and when there is continuity in the story. Thank you for your input!

phoebusss: Yes, an explanation regarding the Ichor as well as his draconian transformation will come soon enough. Thank you for your support!

Thelifeandtimes: Look, if you want Percy to have exactly the same powers and if you want this story to be narrated and written entirely like how canon is written, then you're going to be disappointed and is not the story for you. I have my own style of writing and while this may just be a fanfiction, I have put in a lot of effort into this. I have planned the action scenes and everything else very carefully, with multiple rewrites to ensure I give only my best. So please don't go around telling what story has potential or not. You don't have any right to say stuff like that. Constructive criticism is always welcome, being rude is not.

Le Connoisseur: To make a correction, Percy is not immoral, he is amoral, or at least he tries to be. Immoral suggests that he is actively doing bad things, which is not true. Amoral means he doesn't have any affinity to morals. That ties in neatly with him also being a hedonist. So he basically does whatever he decides is best for himself. I hope you enjoy this story! Thank you for your support!

Coming to a rough halt as he was smashed away by Doomsday, Percy coughed out a little wad of Ichor as he struggled back to his feet. That had been very, very close. He had almost been killed by Doomsday there. Only his strongest form, which he had mastered only a few months ago along with his armour, which had been a gift from his father prevented him dying right there.

He raised his trident to draw sea water from the harbour towards himself as he was enveloped by a blanket of water, which started to heal his broken ribs. His trident which had been another gift from his father, enchanted by the sea god himself to amplify all his powers, including his ability to heal from water, was also speeding up the process. He knew he had to talk to his old man and thank him once this whole ordeal was over.

He vaguely registered Doomsday cornering Batman but he was still in no position to help the bat vigilante. His ribs were not the only things that were broken. He also had multiple other injuries that peppered his entire body. It was only his amplified ability to heal from water along with his secretly enhanced partial immortality that allowed him to heal at such a fast rate. Anyone else who was not a major god would have been out of commission for weeks or months.

Partial immortals, at least the ones who were granted that by the gods only had unending longevity along with enhanced physical attributes. But Percy had quickly realised that much would not suffice for him. He wanted to be more immortal, to protect himself better in case there was ever a threat to his freedom.

His father had been of great help to him in that regard, giving him an armour and a trident that only the Royal Family of Atlantis had access to. And it had certainly been of great help. But even that was not satisfactory for Percy. He wanted to be even more immortal.

Of course, full immortality was not what he was after. He didn't want to be confined by the Ancient Laws and godhood still did not appeal to him in any way. It was as bad an option today as it had been ten years ago. But, he certainly could do with having the physical attributes and durability of a god, without losing his mortal soul.

After much research and with a fair bit of help from his father, he had learnt that the only way to do that was by consuming the Golden Apples of Immortality in an indirect way to ensure that he only got the physical attributes of a god. And a decade ago, after stealing one of the apples, he had done exactly that, purging his blood and turning it into Ichor.

That magnified his already enhanced physical and elemental powers to an even greater extent, easily putting him on par with or slightly stronger than even the most powerful minor gods in his base form. He was of course no match for the Olympians directly but that was why he had so many trump cards under his sleeve. He was more than capable of fending them off temporarily and disorient them enough to make a quick escape.

Percy was brought out of his thoughts when his most serious wounds were finally healed and he absorbed the water he had drawn into himself, restoring some of his severely depleted energy reserves.

He immediately noticed that Bruce was about to be killed by Doomsday's heat vision and had braced for death. But before that could happen, he was saved by someone Percy had not seen in a while – Diana Prince.

As soon as she dissipated the heat vision with just her gauntlets, which Percy had to admit, was extremely impressive, the daughter of Zeus jumped towards the Kryptonian deformity and struck her gauntlets, immediately releasing a shockwave that blew Doomsday back.

Percy decided to re-join the fight at that point. He drew thousands of gallons of water from the nearby sea and twirled his trident around before pointing it at Doomsday, causing a humongous pillar of solidified water to smash into Doomsday and send it flying away.

Coincidentally, that was the exact moment when Superman re-entered the battle, dropping down from the atmosphere and barrelling into Doomsday with the force of a meteor. That sent the abomination crashing straight into an oil refinery and engulfed it in a humongous explosion. Superman then flew down and stood beside the other three superheroes, grimly observing as Doomsday unleashed another violent electric discharge and grew stronger yet again.

"This creature, it feeds on energy." Diana noted in a grim tone.

"It seems obvious doesn't it? Yet undies here doesn't seem to realise that and keeps making it stronger." Percy groaned in frustration as he glared at Superman, at which the latter just sighed.

"This creature is from my world. It's the replica of an ancient Kryptonian deformity that keeps feeding on all forms of energy and keeps growing stronger unless it's killed with a decisive blow to the heart or head." Superman calmly explained.

"I assume that's what that spear is for." Diana pointed out.

"Yes." Bruce answered.

"I can't use it. Just its presence is enough to make me weak." Superman stated with a sigh of frustration.

"Just give me the spear." Percy stretched his free hand towards Bruce.

"I don't even know who you are." Bruce sceptically stated.

"That's of no consequence to you. All you need to know is that I am the man who is going to save your sorry ass. Now give it to me and go find shelter. This fight is not for regular humans." Percy grumpily shot back before grabbing the spear from Bruce and shooting towards Doomsday.

"I like him." Diana stated with a small smirk before jumping into the fray.

"Who are these two?" Bruce asked.

"Not the time for questions, Bruce." Clark stated before joining the fight.

Percy was the first to reach Doomsday and immediately, the monster sensed the raw danger posed to it by the Kryptonite spear in his left hand. It blasted him with an intense ray of heat vision but Percy called water from the nearby sea and spun his trident extremely fast in front of him, creating what was effectively a continuous water shield in front of him.

Of course, he knew that this would not last much longer but it didn't need to. Diana immediately distracted Doomsday's attention away from Percy by slamming into its leg with her shield. Superman immediately followed that up by thunderously smashing Doomsday into the ground and Percy took that chance to scythe down at it with the spear, aiming straight for its head. But the monster had grown faster.

It dodged his attack before slamming a fist into him. Percy barely managed to block it with both his spear as well as his trident but he was still smashed away. Doomsday zeroed in on him but before it could do that, Diana pushed it away with another shockwave from her gauntlets.

Superman flew towards the monster and punched it across the face but Doomsday responded immediately by grabbing him and flinging him all the way over to Metropolis. But as soon as it did that, Percy used the opportunity to strike a crucial blow.

His trident vanished as he disappeared in a blue mist and materialised over the monster before swinging down the Kryptonite spear with a two-handed slash aimed at the monster's head, intent on cleaving it in half.

Unfortunately, Doomsday sensed this and immediately whirled on him, sending a fist at him. However, Percy adjusted his position mid-air and cleaved off the monster's blunt fist-shaped protusion instead. Diana proceeded to follow that up by impaling the monster in the chest with her sword. But they could not push their advantage and kill it.

As soon as its fist was cleaved off and its chest was impaled, Doomsday bellowed in rage and agony before unleashing a maelstrom of lightning, immediately blowing away Diana and Percy.

Diana was caught completely off-guard and took the lightning head on, it was only her unique biology as a daughter of Zeus that prevented her from being fried to death. Percy on the other hand, knew he didn't have that advantage.

That's why he immediately dropped the spear, called his trident and instantly caught the violent streaks of electricity with his right hand, forming a pathway within his body and embedding his trident into the ground, as he rerouted all the lightning through his body.

Doomsday's electrical discharge stopped when it regrew a sword instead of a rocky protrusion and the hole in its chest was replaced by a large spiky protrusion. A moment later, it was smashed away by Superman. Percy fell to his knees, next to Diana, panting in exhaustion. And Superman was instantly beside him.

"Are you okay?" Clark asked with concern shining in his eyes, even though he himself was not looking great. Clark's attire and cape were torn in multiple places and he was covered in wounds and blood. And he noticed that the man was in a very similar position except for one very eye-catching difference. He had wounds that freely oozed golden blood.

"You're hot." Diana stated from next to Percy, noticing that Percy's shoulders were sizzling and seemed a bit burnt.

"Why thank you, you're quite beautiful yourself." Percy stated with a hoarse chuckle.

"No, I meant literally." Diana clarified, although she was very amused.

"Not all of us are built resistant to lightning like you children of Zeus." Percy grumbled.

"We need to restrain it before attempting to kill it or else we will be met with the same result as this time." Diana shared her observations.

"Yes. The question is how in the name of Tartarus do we do that?" Percy retorted back.

"You're a son of Poseidon." Diana stated as she stared into his piercing green eyes.

"Quite the late realisation." Percy responded with a small smirk. And that was when Bruce joined them.

"Bruce, how many rounds of that weakening gas do you have left?" Clark asked.

"Just one shot left." Bruce answered with some remorse in his tone.

"What's the plan?" Bruce asked.

"I'll distract it." Clark answered before flying in Doomsday's direction.

"I know how to constrain it." Diana stated as she unveiled the lasso of Hestia and joined Superman.

"And I will kill it. Hit it with the round of Kryptonian death gas when it's right, emo dude." Percy stated as he grabbed the Kryptonite spear and joined the two in front of him in engaging Doomsday.

"Emo dude? Now that's a new one." Alfred chirped and Bruce could only narrow his eyes at Percy's advancing form. He didn't trust this green eyed stranger. Not one bit.

Percy, Clark and Diana offered more than just a challenge to Doomsday and their coordinated attacks allowed them to fight the monster on level terms. But that in itself was such a frightening proposition because less than half an hour ago, Percy and Clark had been able to get the upper hand over it. It showed just how dangerous Doomsday's rate of growth was.

The battle broiled on viciously as Doomsday and Superman engaged in a brutal battle of heat visions that ultimately resulted in Superman being blown away and Percy could smell his flesh being burnt. That must have hurt a fair bit.

Diana used that moment to slice off Doomsday's leg, and the monster instantly buckled under its own weight before releasing another violent electric discharge. However, Percy materialised in front of her and caught and rerouted the lightning back at Doomsday, blowing the monster away.

"Thank you." Diana sincerely thanked.

"My pleasure." Percy responded with a debonair smile before both of them charged at Doomsday together.

The monster met them midway and the three of them clashed. Diana blocked a blow from it with her shield but the raw power behind the attack sent her flying away, causing her to crash through numerous cars and tons of debris before coming to a painful halt. That left Percy to fight Doomsday alone. Again.

This time though, he was utterly outclassed and he had even lost his earlier speed advantage. Doomsday's fist delivered thunderous blows that he barely escaped and the mindless abomination had even learnt how to use its sword for an arm in a surprisingly effective way.

Percy hissed in pain as its bony spike cut a deep along his thigh, no doubt tearing a part of his hamstring, before he angrily sliced off the entire spike using the spear and then used his trident to condense all the water in the air and dumped it on the monster. And he promptly collapsed to his knee, realising that his injured hamstring meant he could not run or move around fluidly, at least not until he ate some Ambrosia or was immersed in sea water.

As soon as its bony protrusion was cut off, Doomsday once again unleashed a violent storm of electricity but was electrocuted due to being drenched in water, and got temporarily disoriented. Diana took advantage of this and instantly restrained the monster with her lasso. Seeing that this was his opportunity, Bruce expertly shot the final round of Kryptonite gas at the monster, severely weakening it.

Despite his immense pain and exhaustion, Percy pounced immediately, and used his remaining elemental reserves to call multiple streams of water from the sea that lifted him up and propelled him towards Doomsday. And with great satisfaction, he brutally embedded the spear into Doomsday's chest, right where the heart was supposed to be.

Instantly, Doomsday roared in pain and unleashed its most powerful electric discharge yet. It was so powerful that it put Diana off balance and blew Percy away, electrocuting him severely as he did not have time to redirect the lightning. With Diana losing her footing, the constraints also became loose, giving Doomsday freedom to maneuver.

Bruce observed in horror as the monster tried to, and was succeeding in removing the spear, all the while drastically weakening but still discharging copious amounts of electricity. But before that could happen, a bruised and bloodied Superman flew in and smashed Doomsday into the ground. And immediately, he pushed the spear in even deeper, using all his strength to bury the spear into its heart.

However, just before he succeeded in doing that, Doomsday managed to pierce his gut with its bony protrusion and he roared in agony but unwilling to give up, he braved on and pushed the spear through its heart and suddenly, the discharge stopped and the monster went limp.

A moment of eerie silence followed before Diana noticed that Clark had been impaled by the monster and rushed to his side. To her instant relief, she could still feel a heartbeat. But it was fading. And it was fading fast.

"He's dying!" Diana exclaimed in anguish.

"Remove him from the spike carefully and apply pressure on the wound, we will take him to my base where we can treat him." Bruce replied with urgency showing through his voice.

"We don't have time for that. He will bleed to death by the time we reach your base. Not to mention, he already has multiple other serious wounds. We need to do something now." Percy stated as he painfully limped towards Diana and Bruce.

"Can you do something?" Diana asked him, her electric blue eyes full of hope.

"Yes. I can stabilize his condition. But after that I won't you of much help without some proper equipment. Now, carefully extract him away from that spike, be careful to not aggravate the wound any further." Percy calmly stated and Diana did as he said and gently laid down Clark in front of Percy.

Percy immediately got to work and called multiple streams of water before covering Clark with it and he used all his remaining energy to try and stabilize Clark's condition. He then felt his gut exploding in pain and coughed out a wad of Ichor as his already strained body reeled against the effects of using one of his most energy consuming powers when he was already exhausted. But he didn't stop.

Clark's body slowly absorbed the water and after a few tense minutes, Percy managed to heal and rejoin the largest severed arteries and veins. He then wrapped Superman's cape tightly around the wound and finally, a sigh of relief escaped his lips as Clark's heartbeat stabilized.

"Get an entire tank of whatever liquid there is in the amniotic chamber where that monstrosity was born, in the Kryptonian ship. I can't keep him in this stable condition forever, we need the fluid keep him stable in the night, at least until the sun rises." Percy barked out orders to Bruce.

"I don't even know who you are, I don't know your name. Yet, you know everything about me. About us. Who are you?" Bruce suspiciously asked.

"Like I said earlier, who I am does not concern you, Mr Wayne. I'm just a casual observer who was dragged into this. And right now, I am the only one capable of ensuring Clark Kent lives. So unless you want his death to weigh on your conscience, I suggest that you do as I say." Percy coolly replied.

Before Bruce could retort, his attention was diverted to the fiery redhead woman who Percy recognised as Lois Lane, sprinting towards them. As soon as she saw Clark's condition, she let out a sob and tried to reach out to him but was stopped by Percy.

"He is alive. Barely. I'm keeping him stable for now. His wounds are very, very severe. It is advisable to not touch or jerkily move him in any way for that matter. At least not until I can treat him further and then immerse him in the fluid from the amniotic chamber in the Kryptonian ship." Percy calmly answered.

"We can't stay here until then. Others will be here soon." Diana pointed out.

"I can take you back to my base. It's hidden and has all the medical equipment we will need." Bruce answered.

"How will we take him there without aggravating his injuries any further?" Lois asked with concern and fear riddling her expression.

"Leave that to me." Percy assured her and condensed the air around Clark's body, covering him in a layer of water. He then lifted his hand and Clark slowly levitated into the air. In the meanwhile, Percy fashioned a stint out of solidified water to support himself as he stood up.

"I will take him to the base with me. Now, I am low on energy and stamina as it stands. So I will not be able to keep him stable for much longer. So I would suggest you hurry." Percy ordered as he then, to everyone's surprise, encased himself in a layer of water as well before levitating into the air. And a moment later, he started flying towards the base, with Clark's unconscious form gently following him.

"Wait, how will you know where to go?" Bruce shouted.

"Trust me, Mr Wayne, I know exactly where your base is. You just focus on the job at hand." Percy replied with a dangerous smirk that sent shivers down Bruce's spine. But he shook his head. He had plenty of time for questions later on. Right now, his first priority was ensuring Clark Kent stayed alive.

About an hour later, in the Batcave, Bruce, Diana and Lois were tensely waiting outside the medical room where Percy was treating Clark. It had been very tense with Lois pacing around anxiously. Diana had comforted the young woman whenever she could but it did little to calm down Lois' fears.

Finally, Percy emerged from the room with a look of exhaustion on his face and limped towards a seat before promptly collapsing on it. Diana threw him a bottle of water which he gladly accepted and poured it over himself. And they all watched, in awe, as the water flowed over him and was absorbed by his body.

He then revealed a very large square of Ambrosia and wolfed it down before throwing another one at Diana, who gratefully took it. And after all that, he seemed to regain enough strength to not look like he would pass out any second.

"He's out of danger. And he will live. I operated on him and have dealt with the internal bleeding from that attack and have stitched the wound. I have also treated his burns and all the other injuries he withstood in the fight against that abomination. I have kept him in the fluid and he should regain consciousness when the sun comes out." Percy revealed, as he stood up, and Lois could not be any happier.

"I cannot express how grateful I am. We are indebted to you. When will he make a full recovery?" Lois gratefully said and emotionally embraced Percy.

"There's no need for all that, Miss Lane. I was only in the right place at the right time." Percy answered with a hint of awkwardness as he extracted himself away from the friendly hug. And Diana had to stifle a chuckle after seeing the expression on his face. But Percy's expression turned stoic a moment later.

"Unfortunately, Mr Kent will never be able to make a complete recovery. You see, the impalement from Doomsday also caused multiple complications due to severed nerves in his spinal column. But his Kryptonian biology is what saved him first from dying, and then from complete paralysis. But, as it stands, even if he recovers the ability to walk and move around fairly normally, he will most probably not be able to use his other metahuman powers. Not unless he wants to kill himself." Percy stoically explained.

"What?!" Lois asked, shell shocked.

"Calm down, Miss Lane. He is not going to die. I don't think he is even capable of dying. At least not on this planet. He should be fine in a few months. I am no expert in Kryptonian biology but I can tell you that his body has already been under tremendous stress. It's taken everything and a little more to just keep him alive. He should eventually be able to live like a normal human during the day The sun should be able to power him that much. But I suspect he will need his amniotic tank in the night to keep him stable late at night. Whatever it was that Doomsday's protrusions were made of, they were very similar to Kryptonite in the effect they are having on him. And I suspect some of it vapourised and dispersed into his blood stream during the final clash. " Percy patiently expounded.

"How is that possible? Aren't his cells capable of storing energy from this system's yellow sun and using it to augment his strength, as well as give him superhuman powers. It also gives him near invulnerability as well as extreme regenerative abilities, which is evident by the fact that he recovered from a head on nuclear explosion. Also, Earth's gravitational field being much weaker than Krypton's will certainly still augment his other attributes. How can he lose all this from just one impalement?" Bruce suspiciously asked.

"This is not just any other impalement, Mr Wayne. He was impaled by a Kryptonian deformity that was specifically designed to kill him. It's a miracle he's even alive, given the circumstances. His cells had already been weakened by that poisonous Kryptonite gas you used on him, not once but twice. Then, he got hit by a goddamn nuke and had to recover from that. Then, he suffered so many other serious injuries in the fight with Doomsday, like all of us did, except you. And finally, he was impaled severely by that abomination, along with being exposed to Kryptonite once again. It's a miracle that man is even alive. I'm pretty sure his cells have utilised a lifetime's worth of energy in just keeping him alive." Percy harshly retorted and Bruce felt all the guilt crashing into him.

"They were manipulated by Lex Luthor. It's not his fault that that megalomaniac built the ultimate killing machine." Lois chipped in and defended Bruce.

"Whatever. That doesn't concern me. In conclusion, I am not sure whether he has lost his powers entirely, whether he will lose them, entirely or partially in the future or whether it will kill him if he used them again. And I don't know if he'll stay like that or get better. Like I said, I am not an expert in Kryptonian biology. But given how critical his condition is, he has a tough recovery ahead of him." Percy dismissed before concluding.

Of course, while he was not an expert on Kryptonian biology, he did have a very good idea about it thanks to the fact that he had kept himself very well informed of the biology and physiology of other known lifeforms in the universe. But they didn't need to know that. That would only raise more questions and Percy was in no mood to answer any of them.

"How did you manage to operate on him, isn't his skin impenetrable to all of our instruments?" Lois curiously asked.

"My surgical equipment is made of a stronger metal. It's the same metal as the one mine and Miss Prince's armour and weapons are made of. It can pierce just about everything in this universe." Percy calmly answered.

"I didn't know that children of Poseidon were such fantastic healers." Diana stated with some respect shining in her eyes. And that was when she actually noticed his appearance.

He was tall and lean. Obviously, he was built for speed rather than brute strength but Diana had a feeling he was not too deficient in that department. He was still wearing his combat pants, which were torn in multiple places, and his legs were filled with lacerations.

His hoplite style breastplate and vambraces were dented in many areas and the unexposed parts of his upper body were filled with bruises and wounds. He had removed his helmet, and his face was a bit roughed up.

She noticed that he had a sharp nose and piercing sea green eyes. He also had high cheekbones and a well-defined jawline. His hair was a messy jet black mop that was all over the place. And Diana noticed that even when he smiled, she sensed danger emanating from him. Perhaps that had to do with the fact that he had a bit of a cruel mouth.

"Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that you're a god, given that you bleed Ichor. I can sense that you are a son of Poseidon. Maybe one of his immortal lieutenants. Who are you really?" Diana asked as her gaze locked with his.

"I'm not a god, Miss Prince. And I am thankful for that. I am nothing but an immortal demigod like you. I just have a few additional skills that I acquired. And I am afraid that excellent medical prowess is a necessity when you live like I do. Although I must admit, I am better at healing myself than at healing others." Percy responded with a roguish smirk.

"You didn't tell us your name? Clark and I really want to know the name of the man who saved his life. And please, is there anything I can do for you?" Lois softly asked.

"Who I am does not concern you, Miss Lane. You can show your gratitude for me by attesting and ensuring that the Daily Planet articles do not mention me, directly or indirectly. That would save me a big migraine. It's a good thing Doomsday fried most of the cameras while we fought. I would very much like to stay hidden." Percy coolly brushed off her question.

Meanwhile, Bruce had been deep in thought, he had an inkling that he had seen the man somewhere before. He was not in Luthor's metahuman files, that was for sure. But somewhere else. Somewhere recently. And suddenly it clicked to him.

"You're Percy Jackson. You were at Lex Luthor's fundraiser." Bruce revealed and instantly, a scowl made its way on Percy's face as he rose to his full height.

"Mr Wayne, you better leave it at this. Do not try to dig into my history. You will not find anything. And I will be most displeased if you attempt something insolent." Percy warned. His voice was calm but everyone could sense the underlying threat.

"I don't trust you, Jackson. You must be incredibly good at covering your tracks if even Lex Luthor had no idea that you existed. And I remember your rather irate speech at Luthor's fundraiser that conveyed your total apathy towards heroism. And the fact that you are threatening me so casually, makes me very suspicious of your intent." Bruce stated as he narrowed his eyes at Percy. All of them were surprised when Percy chuckled in response. But it wasn't a happy, heartful one. It was a cold, dark and threatening one.

"It will serve you well to remember this day, Mr Wayne. You can play cat and mouse all you want with those lowlifes in Gotham, but this is the realm of gods. Of beings who if they wanted, could kill you with just a flick. All you are is a man behind an expensive suit and some fancy vehicles. They're good at stopping bullets and men. Not at stopping beings like me. So, stick to the realm of men. Don't go around jutting your self-righteous nose where it doesn't belong. It will get you killed." Percy stated with a predatory smirk as his piercing sea green eyes bore into Bruce. And everyone in the room felt a shiver running down their spine. At that moment, it was clear that this was a man who would not hesitate to kill. He then turned his attention towards the other two women.

"For your sake, Miss Lane, I shall pray to the Old Gods for a speedy recovery for Mr Kent. I have done all I can. And I would advise you, if you have Mr Kent's best interests in mind, to make sure he hangs up the cape. He was a good hero. And he is a good man. He deserves a good life." Percy stated with sincerity in his voice. And his piercing sea green eyes softened the slightest degree with sympathy.

"Thank you for all your help, Mr Jackson. I will ensure that your involvement stays a secret. It's the least I can do." Lois gratefully stated and Percy gave her a small, genuine smile. He was starting to like Lois Lane.

"It has also been a pleasure meeting you, Miss Prince. You certainly match up to your myth." Percy stated with a debonair smile before finally turning his gaze back to Bruce and his eyes hardened once again.

"You are a kite, Mr Wayne. I, am a hurricane. A kite cannot dance in a hurricane. It will get torn to shreds. So, if you want to preserve your fragile self, fly in calmer winds. Goodbye." Percy warned with a tight smile before disappearing in a blue mist. And in doing so, he had left them with more questions than answers.

Hey guys! This chapter concludes the short Doomsday Arc as well as the end of the BvS storyline. I'll now be venturing into the interim phase between this and JL. And this is where a significant amount of character development and Percy's past will start to unveil.

I've also tried to show that despite the fact that Percy still has some humanity left in him, given that he helped save Superman, without him, the Man of Steel would have met with the same end as he did in BvS. But at the same time, he's not a paragon of virtue either and that's what I have tried to capture through his interactions with Batman. In fact, he can come across as borderline villainous with how fiercely he guards his background and the lengths he is willing to go to keep himself hidden. That sort of ruthlessness balances the shred of heroism left in him making him a true gray character.

Read and review, I hope that all of you enjoyed reading this chapter! Have a fantastic day!
