I'm glad you are all liking this. I like the different take on Sookie and Eric. I was never really a fan of Bill. I added this over to my watt pad account as well and there I added some Sookie/eric videos I found. You should check them out. My name there is ToxicT3
Chapter Three
Sookie woke up to a loud voice belonging to her brother Jason and she headed downstairs to see what all the commotion was about.
"She left with a vampire last night. The entire town is talking about it." He was angry and he stood up from the table as soon as she entered the room. "You want to tell gran what you were up to last night with the vampire?"
"Jason, really? It's not even eight am yet." She rolled her eyes and grabbed a cup of coffee.
"Is it true Sookie, were you with that vampire you told me about last night?"
"Yes, she was and god knows what kind of things he tried to do to her. Did he bite you?" Jason stormed over to her and pushed the hair from her neck roughly.
"Jason!" She yelled at him.
"I'm not going to have my sister being a goddamn fang banger!" Jason huffed.
"What's a fang banger?" Gran asked innocently as she looked between the two of them.
"It's nothing Gran. Seriously Jason can we do this somewhere else." Sookie couldn't believe he was trying to have this fight in front of their eighty-year-old grandmother.
"Oh, it's definitely something. It's when a human and a vampire…"
"That's enough Jason!" Sookie yelled now and he blinked in shock as he looked at her. "The other room, now!" She stormed out and he followed.
"I can't believe you did this at Arlene's wedding! Tara said that he followed you from Shreveport!"
"First off this is Arlene's fifth wedding and by the looks of it she was happy with whatever gift he brought her and secondly did Tara tell you that we were at the vampire bar for Arlene's bachelorette party, huh?!"
"What? No, you didn't. There is no way my sister would go there." He shook his head in disgust.
"Yeah, well it wasn't just your sister. Dawn and Maudette were there too." She stepped up to him and closed the distance. "And you know what, we had a fun time, and that vampire that showed up owns the club. So there!" She put her hands on her hips.
"You won't see him again, Sookie. I will see to it!" He stomped his foot like a child.
"You will do no such thing. I am an adult, and I can do what I want. I don't stop you when you're sleeping your way through Bon Temps!"
"So now you are sleeping with the vampire?" His eyes got wide.
"Oh Jason, sometimes you just…just… never mind!" She stormed off back to the kitchen as her gran sat there with an awkward smile on her face. "Ok, so I did spend some time with Eric because that is his name. He isn't just some vampire. He was very nice and a complete gentleman. So, there I said it."
"Tell her that she can't see him again. Tell her how unnatural it is." Jason came back in the kitchen and now their gran stood.
"Ok, both of you shush for a moment. Let me think." She looked between them. "I think that if Sookie wants to spend time with Eric, then I trust that she knows what she is doing."
"What? But he is a vampire, gran. He could bleed her dry!" Jason snapped.
"He was also human once and who are we to judge what happened to him? I feel bad for the vampires. None of them asked for this life. They just want to live in peace like the rest of us." She smiled sweetly.
"He drinks blood, human blood."
"Synthetic blood actually. True Blood and I am going to make sure that Sam has enough on stock." Sookie smiled.
"I can't believe this is happening to my own sister." Jason sighed and shook his head.
"The only thing happening to Sookie is that she met a nice man whom she spent time with. Now enough about this. I don't want to hear any more negative talk about vampires in this house."
"But gran."
"I mean it, Jason. Not one more word." Gran made her way over to the stove. "I am going to make us a big breakfast, so fetch me the eggs out of the fridge and Sookie set the table."
Jason huffed and groaned as he grabbed the eggs. Sookie smiled at her gran who winked back at her. Maybe this wasn't so bad after all.
Meanwhile back in Shreveport, Eric had finished five books on the fae. He hadn't slept at all, and he had a good case of the bleeds though he was barely aware. He still had no proof that she was indeed a fairy, but he needed to find out. The rumors of fairy blood and what it meant to vampires were astonishing. It had the ability to let them walk in the daylight. He hadn't felt the sun on his skin in a thousand years. This could be life-changing. The power he could hold over the other vampires made his fangs sharpen with anticipation. He could have his very own fairy all to himself. He would go see her again and take what he needed. He would get his answer once and for all.
By the time Sookie got to Merlotte's for her shift, she was immediately bombarded with questions from Arlene, Dawn, and Maudette.
"What happened with the vampire?"
"Did he bite you?"
"Did you have sex with him?"
The questions came all at once as they surrounded her.
"Alright, geez. We just walked. No big deal." Sookie tried to act nonchalant. She wasn't used to being the center of attention; it made her uncomfortable.
"You just walked? I would have climbed him like a tree!" Maudette laughed.
"He gave me and Rene an all-expense paid trip to the Bahamas; can you believe it? We weren't even planning a honeymoon but we're having one now!" Arlene danced around with excitement.
"Well, if you get tired of him, I wouldn't mind trying him out for a spin." Dawn laughed.
"Alright ladies, break it up. We have people to feed." Sam walked over as they all disbursed, and they continued to whisper among themselves. "Hey Sookie, can I talk to you in private?"
"Sure." She hated the feeling that she was being called into the principal's office.
They walked inside and he closed the door. She shoved her hands into her pockets as she looked around.
"You doing ok, Sookie?"
She forced a smile. "Yeah, doing fine, Sam. Is something wrong?" She knew this was about last night and she really didn't want to have another conversation about this.
Sam ran his hand through his shaggy hair. "To be honest I am worried about you."
"Sam please don't do his. I am fine. I hung out with a vampire last night, it's not the end of the world."
"I know and listen I sympathize with them. I really do but…"
"But what? You can't say that you stand behind them and then have a reason not to." She tried to stand up taller as she looked at him.
"Does your gran know?"
She sighed. "Yes, she does and she thinks it's fine."
"She does?" He looked at her with surprise.
"Uh-huh. They are just like us Sam. I mean sort of like us; they just have an eating intolerance which reminds me. Can we get some True Blood in?"
"You're planning on seeing him again?" Disappointment washed over his face, and she tried not to react. She knew that Sam liked her. She had listened in on his thoughts once and it was obvious that he had a thing for her, but he was her boss. It was never going to happen between them. He never pushed anything either except when he gave her the puppy dog eyes like he was doing now.
"Maybe. I don't know but he isn't the only vampire out there so we should have something on stock for them to eat."
"I will order some today."
"Is that all Sam because I really need to get back out there?"
"Yeah sure. Go on." He leaned against his desk, and she quickly left his office.
She made her way to the kitchen as Lafayette whistled at her. "Dang Sookie you are the talk of the town!"
"Oh, not you too Lafayette." She sighed.
"Oh, honey I don't care who you bring to your bed. I am just happy that I'm out of the spotlight for once." He laughed.
"I didn't bring anyone to bed, by the way."
"But you're thinking about it." He raised an eyebrow and thrust his hips dramatically.
Sookie had all but given up on the idea of ever having sex but now she couldn't stop thinking about it. Would she lose her virginity to a vampire? She flushed at the idea. Hell, she didn't even know if she would see him again. The way he took off last night made her uneasy.
Thankfully it ended up being a busy night in Merlotte's, so Sookie was able to keep her mind distracted not to mention the thoughts of all the towns folk were ringing in her ears. They were all talking about last night and how she was with a vampire. It was one thing growing up in a small town where everyone knew everyone but being able to hear their thoughts added another level to that. She tried to ignore them the best she could, but some nights were worse than others and tonight was one of them.
It was around nine pm when she was getting ready for her break that she sensed him. She didn't know how or why but when she looked at the entrance to Merlotte's there he was.
Eric was dressed in a black V-neck t-shirt that clung to his muscles and relaxed jeans that hugged his glorious butt. His hair looked wild and sexy. She couldn't help the smile on her face as everyone turned to look at him. He walked over to a table and sat down, his eyes never leaving hers. She could hear the whispers around her as she walked over to his table with a menu in hand.
"Hi." She swallowed hard.
"Hello, Sookie."
"Um, we still don't have any true blood in."
"I didn't come here for that anyway."
"Oh." She felt her heart race as she stood there. He had come back for her.
"I'm sorry I left the other night in a hurry. It was rude. Will you let me make it up to you?"
"Sure." She nodded her head. "I'm about to head to my break."
"Break it is." He smiled as he slowly looked her up and down. His eyes held such a seductive stare that she could barely contain herself.
"There are picnic tables out back."
"Lead the way." He stood and followed her.
"I'm taking my break now Sam." She called out and didn't wait for an answer. She led Eric toward the back of the restaurant and when she turned around Eric was there. Within seconds his mouth was on hers in a desperate kiss that had her moaning into his mouth. He pressed her back into the wall as his tongue fought for dominance. She had never been kissed like this before. Sure, she had kissed a few guys over the years but nothing as passionate and sexually charged as this.
He pulled back after a few moments. She was breathless as she stood there. His forehead rested against hers while he used one hand on the wall to prop himself up. "Sorry, I have been thinking about that since I saw you last night."
"Me too." She tried to relax her body, but it was impossible. She would seriously let him take her right there without a second thought.
He took a step back and licked his lips. He wanted nothing more than to taste her again. His eyes landed on her neck. He fought against his fangs coming down. He had to plan this just right.
"We should sit." He took her hand and led her over to the picnic table. They both sat across from one another.
"So how was your day?" She didn't know how to make small talk with him, and she began to fidget with her hands. She would have been happy just making out with him for her entire break.
"Better now and yours?"
"Same."
"So, you haven't had any other vampires around here?" He had to make sure no one else knew about her.
"No, just you." She swallowed hard.
"Am I your first, ever?"
"I've seen y'all on tv and such but not in person."
The idea that she hadn't been around any vampires at all made him impossibly hard with anticipation. It took everything in him to not jump across the table and bite her, but he knew he couldn't do it in such a public place. He had to wait for the right time but the fact that her body was so willing didn't help matters. He could smell her arousal. She would be so easy for him. Like taking candy from a baby.
"I'm glad I'm your first." His words oozed seduction and she could barely sit still. "Come out with me tonight. When do you get off?"
"In two hours."
He stood up and so did she. "I can't wait."
"Me either." She smiled sweetly.
"I should let you go back in before your boss comes looking for you." He walked around the table, and she closed in the distance.
"I should." She looked up at him and then he was pulling her close as his mouth fell onto hers again. He kissed her hungrily and her moans of approval only pushed him further. His hands roamed over her soft curves and landed on her ass. He squeezed and pushed her against his impressive erection, letting her know just how much he wanted her. He had to pull back quickly otherwise he was going to take her right there. He needed to be patient. She stood breathless again.
"I'll be back in two hours." He traced her swollen lips with his thumb and all she could do was nod in agreement.
She walked backward as she continued to watch him. This man was the definition of sex appeal. She nearly tripped a few times as she walked away. She turned the corner and was greeted with headlights. It was as if everything was moving in slow motion. Tires screeched but it was too late. The next thing she knew she was flipping onto the hood of the car and slamming into the ground.
Eric had been walking away when he heard a scream, when he turned, he saw Sookie laying on the ground beside the truck that had just hit her. The man driving jumped out and began to yell frantically as people came rushing out of Merlotte's.
"I didn't see her I swear. I didn't see her." He yelled as eric knelt by her broken body.
He could make out a broken arm and leg but by the way, she was breathing he could sense her lung was punctured. Her eyes looked up at him with fear as she tried to breathe but only shallow breaths came out. She began to cough up blood.
"I can't feel… my legs." She managed to get out.
"Sookie, oh my god!" Arlene was the first one over to them and then Sam. "Call an ambulance!"
The sight of all her blood on the ground made Eric freeze for a moment. He was half tempted to lick the ground and then he heard her gasping for air.
"Back up, everyone give me room!" He finally yelled out as they all watched him. He bit into his wrist almost violently as the people around him gasped in shock and then he was putting it on her mouth. "Drink Sookie."
"Oh my god, are you turning her into a vampire!" Arlene cried out.
"No, but I can heal her." Eric looked back at Sookie as her eyes began to close. "Drink Sookie, damn it!" He shoved his wrist hard against her mouth and then after a moment he felt her suck against him.
Gasps of horror and shock filled the air.
"Oh my god, he is healing her!"
"Look at her legs, they aren't broken anymore!"
He ignored them as she guzzled down his blood. He had never saved a human before, not in his thousand years of living. At that moment, everything changed.
A huge crowd had formed as the ambulance arrived. Sookie was now sitting up as Eric stood a few feet away.
"Sookie are you sure you are, ok?" Sam asked with concern as she tried to get up. "Don't move."
"I feel fine." She moved her legs and her arms. There was still blood on her clothes and on the ground, but she felt perfect. Better than perfect actually. She felt high, or at least that is what she expected feeling high to feel like. She had never even smoked pot as a teenager but the feeling she had right now was something else entirely. She stared at Eric, he looked worried.
The EMTs rushed over as they got on the scene. They began to push everyone back as they looked her over.
"I feel fine, I swear."
"Let us just check you out, Ma'am." One of the EMTs spoke as he looked over her body for injuries. She could hear everyone's thoughts as they looked at her. Some were in shock, some were afraid, and others were just curious as to how a vampire had saved her. She was curious too, but when she looked around for Eric once more he was gone.
