It was still early in the morning, a new dawn had finally risen over the island of Themyscira. The warrior females stood tall in front of the damaged Palace as their Queen set on her throne just outside of it with the Justice League standing before her.

Standing in a line formation Batman discreetly looked across the Amazons standing in attendants, he take note of the digital expressions of them, several look stone face but still let show some of their discontent for the men there while other were out right glaring at them with a few looking on in curiosity... however what caught his attention the most was that Static received most of it.

Indeed they looked at the youngest member to the League with either curiosity or if he didn't know any better longing, as they had been wanting to see him again after a very long time. But this was confusing since Static openly stated that he had never been to this island before... it just added to a long list of questions about this mission and the boy they he had and it seem to be growing by the moment.

"And for your brave assistance against the sorcerer Faust and the mad god Hades, you have earned our eternal gratitude." said Hippolyta intone looking at the group of heroes please at most of the respect they had.

"Did you hear that? Eternal gratitude. After she hands out the medals, How about you and me taking a private tour of paradise?" Flash offered with a grin as the warrior just stare at him, with only her eyes narrowing, "She wants me." he said to J'onn "Indeed." he said to him "Before you leave, Please accept these royal offerings. You are all truly heroes." said Hippolyta as they offer them thier royal offerings "Thank you, your majesty." said Superman.

"Cool." said Flash.

"Diana, Princess of Themyscira, stand forth." The heros of the Justices League watch Wonder Woman take stand to the center as Flash kept trying to hit on the Amazon next to him though only received glare to which he thought that meant she wanting him. Supergirl and Static chuckle though for some reason more then a few of them eyed Static in a way that made him a bit uncomfortable.

"As your mother I am overjoyed that you have finally returned to us, but as your queen I'm obliged to hold up the laws of Themyscira. And in bringing these outsiders to our island, you have broken our most sacred law. This cannot be overlooked." Hippolyta stated firmly getting a gasp from her daughter and the Justice League.

"But Mother..." Diana began but a hand wave silence her.

"Diana, I have no choice. It's with a heavy heart that I have to exile you from Themyscira." Hippolyta declared causing must of the Leagues eyes to widen.

"Hold on, you can't for real!" Supergirl called out.

"No, Mother's right. I did break the law and I humbly accept your judgment. The fates were against us, Mother. Good bye." Diana turning to take her leave spoke however Static couldn't keep quiet.

"No she not, I'm sorry Diana but this is ridiculous she's exiling you for doing whatever it took to save your own people, there's no way that makes sense!" Static stated, Getting a light but sad glare from the Amazonian princess. "Static that enough, it's-"

"No let the boy speak his part, I will hear what he and he alone has to say." Hippolyta spoke firmly casting a look across the rest of the Justice League to ensure they knew to stay quiet.

Both Superman and Batman cast weary looks at one another as their suspicions between Hippolyta and Static seem to double in confirmation that the two were somehow connected, even if Static denied knowing anything about the Amazon's.

Static also seem to get the impression that she somehow knew him but for the life of him he couldn't understand how, nevertheless he hesitantly took a step forward while trying to steady his voice and being placed on the spot before speaking.

"With all due respect your majesty but you saw for yourself, Faust never had any intention of setting your people free as he had promised your daughter." Static began by pointing that out.

"Indeed he fully intended on petrifying her after handing over the key and going back on his word to set us free." Hippolyta concede she could not deny the truth in his words and she had bore witness to Faust aiming the same talisman he used to petrify the Amazons at Diana after she had given him the key as she promised.

"Diana knew that he couldn't be trusted which is why she brought us along as backup to ensure your safety, everything she did, she did to protect all of you. Her friends, her family, and her people. Is that something she should really be so harshly punished for?" Static question Hippolyta, she kept her face completely void of emotions as her eyes swept over the galleria of Amazon's currently present noticing that a great deal of them looked conflicted at this judgment.

"Your argument is sound boy and I agree that without the aid of you and the other men this would have ended in a much greater tragedy. However regardless of such truth, the laws of our lands are clear and concise." Hippolyta stated firmly.

"I cannot break them not even from my own daughter, even if her actions were in the best interest of Themyscira." Hippolyta said in a tone that showed she would not budge on a matter, Static eyes widen in disbelief at such a ridiculous way of thinking.

"Pardon me if I am speaking out of turn, but by that very logic you're saying it would have been better for her to follow said law even if it meant the end of Themyscira." Static pointed out, at this point many of the Amazons present had become openly uncomfortable with the way the conversation had turned Hippolyta simply stared back at the young Hero with not a single emotion betraying her face and said nothing.

"Are you saying that it was better to leave Themyscira to it fate then break the law that was working in favor of your enemy!?" Static asked hopping for a better answer then what he saw coming.

"Doing what is necessary to protect her people is the roll of the princess... as well as excepting the punishment however well her intentions might have been." Hippolyta answered, the Justice League as a whole looked on in disbelief.

"I see... then your doom, Themyscira won't survive with that line of thinking." Static concluded, Diana simply stared at her mother who had yet to say anything in return as she knew no argument she made would have been enough to justify or counter them. Not another word was said as Diana, Batman, and reluctantly Static turned away and began heading toward the javelin Amazon's raise their Spears to honor their departing princess with Hippolyta staring on finally breaking her expression showing deep regret.

"So it begins, in the near future I'll have to apologize to that boy." Hippolyta mused sadly as she watch the League board their javelin and take off with daughter, (and Truth I'll have to apologize to both of them.) the Amazon queen thought knowing that the Justice League was completely unaware of what awaited in the distant future, however at the moment she really didn't care as she could only watch from afar knowing it would be a some time before she saw her daughter again.

"May Hera watch over you, my little sun and stars." she whispers as a sole tear fell down her face as the boy's once again enter her mind. "As for you child... forgive me for what is to come."

Watch Tower

"So what the prognosis Bats?" Flash asked looking at the Dark Knight as he finished scanning Superman or as him and Static were currently calling him, Olympian Man.

"Amazing I'd say." Batman mused looking over the date on his console.

"It seem his heat vision was just a precursor to something more." Batman stated turning to the man of steel, Batman felt his lip twitch slightly as he still wasn't used to Superman's temporary look. With his outfit destroy during the battle the Amazons provided Superman with toga, it look distinctively like a ancient Rome garment, it is a roughly semicircular cloth, 12 feet in length, draped over the shoulders and around the body. It was woven from white wool, and was worn over a tunic. Both Static and Flash had a good laugh at Superman's expense while Batman maintains a straight face but found even he was put to the test to not let out a small chuckle at the ridiculous looking outfit the Man of steel was currently wearing.

"What do you mean, the last thing I remember was trying to push the Hades back into the underworld with my heat vision when..." Superman pause still unsure what happened.

"You detonated." Batman supplied helpfully.

"It seems on top of Super strength, Flight' X-ray vision... you developed a new power." Batman declared stunning all Leaguers present.

"A new power." Superman question.

"It looks like your heat vision is a precursor to another ability you possess."

"You unleashed the energy stored in every one of your cells. You created a solar flares Superman. A Super Flare!" Batman's words slowly sunk in as the realization that after years of believing he had master his abilities there were still new aspects that he had yet to discover.

"I'll admit I'm almost jealous." Batman mused interlocking his fingers as he stared at the Man of steel.

"However you need to be careful, this new super power of yours is unbelievable destructive. And who knows if that was even it full power." Batman caution, though he wouldn't say it out loud he found the idea of Superman being a walking mega nuke very concerning.

"You don't need to tell me that. I'll have to think of a way to train it without endangering anyone... 'sigh' how everyone else?" Superman asked wanting to change the subject.

"Static had gone to Diana's down below to check on her, being banished from Themyscira was hard on her." Batman said with a uncharacteristic amount of sympathy in his voice at her not being able to return to her home anymore.

"However she has already returned to Earth, she said she needed some time to herself." Batman told then, all three really felt her the former Princess, not only was she unable to return home she was not stuck out in a world and unsure of what to do with herself next.

"She strong, I'm sure she'll find her way, she got a real spark for things." Flash offered.

"Speaking of sparks, how is Static doing?" Superman asked wanting to change the subject, Flash pick that moment to join in.

"Fine actually, despite losing an arm and having it reattach itself back at such an alarming rate the only injury he took from that seems to have been a small hairline fracture." Flash said getting raised eyebrows from the Man of Steel and the Knight explain.

"A small hairline fracture? That it!?" Superman said stun to hear that all he got from losing an arm. Batman pulling up to a computer monitor he quickly began typing away at the keyboard bringing up the recent medical files on Static.

"Yes and it healing fast, Static has had his powers for less than a year so I think it's safe to say they're still in the development stage... there no telling what could happen next." Batman mused, this also worried him, a developing teenage Meta-human was something to be cautious of, on his own his powers might have progressed slowly however being in the justice league and facing the dangers they did could cause a force evolutionary response. There was no telling what that would do to him mentally.

"Best to keep a close eye on him." Batman noted, he didn't believe Static would turn easy from being a hero but if the wrong people take an interest in him... it wouldn't be a good outcome.

"Right... where is everyone else?" Superman asked wanting to change subjects as he had a good idea what Batman's current line of thought was.

"J'onn down on the lower level logging in this mission and Green Lantern and Hawk Girl are due to return from deep space in three hours.

"Good, my powers still aren't back to full so I'll need to take a break until tomorrow." Superman sigh standing up and removing the wires from his body.

"You can take one of the Javiln's back to Earth, I'll keep you posted on anything that happened."

Dakota

Static yawn as he flew across the city of Paris Island, the battle with Hades had been long and hard not to mention painful but also insightful. He was cable of reattaching limbs.

What was the limit of this new power, how many times could he do it before it stop, would it even stop? So many questions floated in his head. But right now he just wanted to get some sleep. Reaching his house hold Static check to make sure the arena was clear this time before landing behind his house and reaching for the bag that held his normal clothing for him to switch into. Getting dressed Virgil enter through the back door.

"Well look who finally showed up." Sharon Hawkins said sitting at the kitchen table with their father... and someone else he never met before, she had brown hair tied up in a pony tail and was clearly a police officer.

"Hey guys, did I miss breakfast?" Virgil asked tiredly walking around them.

"Yes, walking in this late would do that." Robert Hawkins said evenly, Virgil stop in his tracks having only now notice that both his father and sister Sharon looked rather tense.

"Something the matter?" he asked as his father stood up.

"Yes, you've been gone all night, you've been staying out late before but this is the first time you've haven't come home and when you do it already past noon!" Robert stated with a deep frown, Virgil raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah and sister dear over there stays out late with her friends all the time but I'm the one who being question about it?" Virgil pointed out, getting a jaw drop from his sister, and a harsh glare father.

"This isn't about Sharon, I'm been putting up with you coming home late for a while now but you never stayed out all night before." Robert stated.

"Look I got kind of carry away and ended crashing out for the night, sorry I didn't call you." Virgil said trying to defuse the situation before it got out of hand, though it did annoy him how he never question where is sister was most of the time but he stays away one night and suddenly he getting look at like he rob a bank!

"This place you crashed at, didn't happen to have anything to do with your little girl friend Madelyn?" Virgil paused and narrowed his eyes at his at the unknown woman who walked up and stood, (What does he think we were fooling around!?) Virgil wondering and now slightly irritated.

"Okay what going, what Madelyn got to do with anything?" Virgil asked crossing his arms and glared at her narrowed eyed expression, he did not like the way she was looking at him in suspicion.

"You tell me, where is she?" the woman came out and asked causing Virgil to raised.

"Umm at her home... also who are you anyway." Virgil asked feeling like he was being interrogated by a stranger.

"Trina Jessup, your father and I have been seeing each other for a few weeks now." she replied, Virgil eyebrow shot up and looked to his sister who gave him an expression that clearly says she just found out as well.

"Okay, how... nice." Virgil replied, it went without saying that no one could ever replace his mother however that didn't mean he wanted his dad to not find happiness. If this lady made his dad happy than that was all good but this was hardly a great start of meet his kids.

"Thank you, but you didn't really answer question, where is Madelyn Spalding?" she asked crossing her arms, Virgil narrowed at her, he was staring to feel like she was interrogating.

"Enough! You only said you ask him, not that you treat him like responsible for her missing!" Sharon shouted, standing up from her seat. This confused Virgil as he didn't know what his sister meant by missing.

"Look young lady, I understand how you feel but a girl is missing and your brother is clearly hiding something so let me-" "Just because he hiding something doesn't mean he did it!" Sharon cut her off, as their father tried to calm her down.

"Calm down, she just trying to find out what he know, just let Trina-" Robert paused as she take note of Virgil raising his hand like a student in a class.

"Okay, what going, who missing and what it got to do with me?" Virgil asked now worried something may have happened.

"Your girlfriend has been kidnapped." Sharon said causing Virgil's mouth to drop open in surprise.

"Kidnapped, since when!?" I just talk to her yesterday!" Virgil shouted throwing backpack on his shoulder before running out the door even as his father called after him. Jessup sighed knowing that she had to catch up with the boy, there was just too much oddness surrounding him for the cop to let go. Jessup cause feel Sharon glaring holes in the back of her head as she left, she groan knowing she just made a bad first impression.

Some time later Saw Virgil racing up to the Spaulding house hold that had several police cars park outside it with him spotting Ms. Spaulding talking to one of the cops.

"Hey Ma'am!" Virgil shouted running up to her, Mary Spaulding, looked to the approaching boy in surprise and move towards him.

"Ms.Spaulding! Is it true, has Madelyn really been..." Virgil trailed off unsure how to finish, the mother of his girlfriend nodded.

"Yes, it happened sometime last night, the police are still searching her room for clues." Ms.Spaulding answer sadly, Virgil couldn't believe it, "But... why would anyone kidnap her, it a little early for her to be making Political enemies right." Virgil winched at his inability to not make a joke no matter what, it just slipped out. Thankfully she take it with a small laugh.

"I was thinking the same but... no who ever kidnapped her... seems to have rough her up a bit, they found a little bit of blood in her room." Ms.Spaulding explain getting.

"Blood someone hurt her!?" Virgil gasp then grinded his teeth in anger, Ms.Spaulding realizing she may have said to much place a hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down.

"Don't worry the police are on it, I'm sure they'll find her in no time." Ms.Spaulding tried to reassure, Virgil on the other hand tighten his fist up to the point his knuckle's we're turning white... someone was going to pay big time for this.

Three days later - Watch Tower

If it not one thing it another, only a few days after the battle of Themyscira Floating in the middle of space on a meteor near Saturn slowly making it way towards Earth. The Justice league found out about it quickly and sent Superman and Martian manhunter to studied it, before blowing it up.

"Thirty-two per cent ion-oxide…" J'onn reported, looking at the readings on the probe, "… twenty-one per cent carbon. Nineteen per cent silver."

"Are you getting all this Hawkgirl?" Superman asked over the communicator.

"Like you were in the next room. I'm sending you data through back-up analysis even as we speak…. you should see it soon" Hawkgirl replied.

"Thanks, after it comes in we'll set the charges." Superman stated.

"Good, though I got to say with Static and Wonder Woman, taking time off I'm not liking all this extra monitoring duty I'm pulling." Hawkgirl admitted.

"It can't be helped, Diana is... going through some thing's right now. And the Kid got his hands full with a kidnapping case." Superman responded, as he waited for the data to come through to Hawkgirl.

"Three and half miles across… can you imagine what would happen if it hit the Earth?" Hawkgirl said with an edge of worry In her voice.

"It's not going to happen." Clark stated firmly, together, he and J'onn placed two, large explosive device on either side of the meteor, before moving out of range. "Ready for the fireworks?"

J'onn glanced over and smirked, "Ready."

As that was going on back on Earth in Dakota, Virgil was currently walking towards the senior citizens center, it was the only clue he had, and it wasn't much of a lead.

(Madelyn said that Dennis guy had been creeping on her before and it's strange that he just so happened to disappear around the time she was kidnapped.) it really was a shallow lead as he had nothing else to go on, after the police had done their own investigation Virgil had looked over the room and it was just as Miss Spaulding said. There was no signs of struggle or force entry, the only thing out of place was a small trace of Madeline's blood and that was it whoever had gotten in had somehow snuck inside and without actually breaking anything.

Bang Baby, this reek of bang baby activity, but why... why would anyone go after Madelyn? The was the question, as far as he knew she stayed away from the super power scene even her own powers were kept under the radar so what reason would a Meta-Human have to go after her.

Walking towards the elevator Virgil was thankful that nobody questioned him so far, he was hoping that he could sneak into Dennis's room and see if there were any clues there he could found.

Waiting for it to open, Virgil blink then groaned on the inside at who was waiting in the elevator, Morris Grant.

"Oh Sparky! It been awhile!" he said seemingly overjoyed to see the young man, Virgil really didn't hate Mr.Grant but he had little time to deal with him.

"Hey Mr. Grant, it been awhile. I'd love to chat but I got things to do." Virgil said slowly backing away, worry he'd either start going on about how things were back in the 60s or worse start talking about his favorite comic book from back in the day.

"Actually, there's something I've been wanting to discuss with you let's head up to the rooftop for some privacy." Mr.Grant said hooking a arm around his shoulder, Virgil roll his eyes not in the mood... then froze in surprise, (What the hell!) he thought as he before turning to Mr.Grant, the man had a bioelectrical aura! How had he not felt that until now!?" confused and wary as Mr.Grant lead him to the elevator, Virgil kept quiet with an unease feeling as they headed for the rooftop.

"What do you mean their missing!?" Flash cried as Batman over look the monitor in front of him.

"It seems like the meteor that they were trying to deal with before it hit Earth had a large quantities of hydrogen pockets inside of it." Batman explained over looking the data Hawkgirl left behind.

"Superman and Martian Manhunter we're right on top of it when they blew." Batman, said with a frown, the blast had knock them out and a ship had pick them up immediately.

"Interesting that a ship happened to be by during the timing of the meteor entering our solar system..." Batman said causing Flash's eyes to widen slightly.

"Wait, you don't think this was intentional, was it?" Flash question.

"If it was just the meteor entering our system I'd chuck that up to coincidence but them being abducted right after it blew make me believe we were being targeted." Batman concluded.

"Makes a bit of sense, were do haven a few enemies out in deep space." Flash noted as Batman frown, the Justice League was still new to the whole interstellar thing, the idea that they could be targeted this way was a fresh concept, one that needed to be taken into account so that it doesn't happen again.

"Indeed, for now you will maintain monitoring duty Diana is still busy setting up her new life in the outside world and Static is stilled preoccupied with a case in Dakota." Batman state.

"And lucky old me just happens to be the only one who isn't doing anything major." Flash groan taking a seat.

"If anything happens send an emergency alert to any of the three of us, also if push comes to shove, Supergirl has been added as an emergency reserve for the time being." Batman told him, he really didn't agree with Supergirl being allowed on the watchtower as many times as she was and was even more annoyed that every time she had been on a watchtower rather than her cousin it was their Youngest member who brought her in.

Nevertheless Batman couldn't deny that she was an asset and given that as of recently there was multiple times where they were short-handed it wouldn't hurt to have her as a reserve member incase situations like this happened. It also made him start thinking about the future of the league and what other reserved members they could bring on or potentially expanding the league.

"Gotcha, star watch it is... Hey that a pretty catchy team name!" Flash grin zipping into the seat, Batman managed not to groan as he always felt Flash was only slightly more mature than Static.

"You have got to be kidding me!?" Virgil muttered standing on the roof of the senior citizens building staring in, for a lack of a better word shock as he look on at the green mask up form of Morris Grant or as he now revealed himself as... Soul Power!

"That right Sparky, I'm the one and only Soul Power! I was heroing it up back in the day before you were even born!" Grant said proudly, Virgil would have normally called the man senile if not for the fact he could feel the electrical power flowing through and really question how had he not been able to before!

"Okay, so your a super from the early 1900s, why are coming to me now... and how did you know I was Static!?" Virgil asked only to watch the old man smirk and lift his hand up actually touching his bio electrical field much to his surprise.

"I can feel the electrical field around you the moment we met, I knew you had to be Static." Grant answered stunning him.

"I... what... how-" Virgil really had no words for what was happening right now and could only stutter with his mouth open like a gaping fish out of water.

"Look kid, I know you got a lot of questions but we'll talk while we're in air, so get dressed and meet me at me at the old Hamilton Factory in ten minutes." Grunt said starting him.

"Why...?" he asked suddenly having a bad feeling about this.

"I know who kidnapped Madelyn." no sooner had he said that Virgil grabbed him by his shirt and held the man who in the air.

"Where is she!? Are you in League with that creep show Dennis, you better not have hurt her!" Virgil shouted Grunt was astonish by the out burst but quickly recovered and tried to calm the young man down.

"Hey, easy, it wasn't me plus I want to save her too!" Mr. Grunt said managing to push Virgil away from him.

"But we need to work together if we're going to find her, I only know who's responsible for kidnapping her but I don't know where they are!" Mr. Grunt explained, Virgil calm down a bit but was glaring at him.

"What the hell is going on?" Virgil demand, he didn't like how they the old man was being as well as him not immediately telling Virgil where his girlfriend was.

"Look just meet me at the old abandoned rail station entrance in 5 minutes I promise I'll explain every thing then and there." Mr. Grunt replied Virgil frowned he really didn't think it was a good idea to let the old man out of his sight but for some reason his gut was telling him that this former superhero could be trusted.

"Fine but you better be there I don't want to have to ransack a senior citizens home just to find you."

"You're not I promise that I'm here to help just meet me there and in uniform." Mr.Grunt said Virgil not it's heading down first seeing the teen leave his side knowing that could have gone a lot worse, but then his thoughts pause is slight confusion overcame him at Virgil's earlier comment.

"Wait a minute, why did he bring up Dennis?" he wondered why he brought up his old grouchy neighbor from down the hall.

Soul Power, one of Earth's first superheroes. In the early 1960s, Morris gained his electric powers in an accident when he got in the way of a group of thugs trying to sabotage the hydroelectric plant at Hoover Dam. During the fight, Morris was knocked into the generators.

Rather than being killed, or at least severely injured, Morris' body absorbed the electric energy, allowing him to generate the energy output equivalent of ten turbines.

With his new found powers he used them for good as a superhero for 40 years before retirement, as he surf along power lines to meet up with the young superpower Hero Static he couldn't believe he had to return from retirement after all theses years.

"There he is." Soul Power muttered seeing Static floating in the air, he frown at seeing the boy on his smart phone.

"Is now really a time to check your myspace?" Soul Power asked coming to a stop and giving the boy a stern look only for Static eyes twitch, in disbelief as he hovered down to the power line level so that he and Soul Power were face to face.

"Myspace!? FUCK YOUR OLD!" Static explained causing Soul Powers jaw to drop.

"My Space was a thing for like three years before it started getting its butt kicked by the competition." Static muttered staring at the wide eyes of Soul Power.

"Get with the times, if you had said Twitch, Twitter, or even Facebook that would have made more sense but Myspace? How long has it been since you've used a computer?" Static question Soul Power quickly overcame his stunned state and glared at the younger electric powered hero.

"That's beside the point, what are you doing on your phone in the middle of such an important investigation." Soul Power growled trying to not let show how much he was annoyed.

"Yeah, I was just trying to see if that whole hero bit about you was real or not." Static stated showing him the scream of his phone that had a very old black and white picture of Soul Power while he was in his prime fighting at the Hoover dam.

"And that is with the Afro you got there man." Static commented, Soul Power was actually left speechless it seemed such an old news article having made it to the internet.

"I'm not even going to ask how you found a News article from that along ago." Soul Power muttered .

"Come with me, I'll explain on the way follow me." Soul Power waved to the power lines behind him, Static look down at the power lines with a raised eyebrow, the power line surfing did indeed look a bit cool but it was the completely ineffective way of transportation at least for him.

"Yeah, not going to happen." Virgil sighed reaching into his code and bringing out his spare disc. A short while later Soul Power found himself for the first time completely airborne as he rolled on the extra Static disk that his younger counterpart gave him.

He had to admit it was an interesting way to travel and much faster than riding the power lines. of course having not used his powers in years as well as them being significantly weaker than in his prime static had connect a electric energy line to his disc to keep him stable as they flew through this guy and remarkable speeds.

"You good old timer?" Static asked knowing the old man was doing his best simply not fall out of the sky.

"Yeah, I used to get around by surfing on the power lines so this is a bit of a new beast for me but I'll get the hang of it." Soul Power assured, as his control slowly stabled he quickly took note of the fact that they had already reached the rapid City in less than 10 minutes and couldn't help but music that if he had taken the power lines it would have taken over an hour to get there.

"Right there down below." Soul Power point out at a run down enter to the subway.

"An abandoned subway station?" Static question as they landed, "Come on this way." Soul Power said handing Static back his disc, breaking the lock that closed the entrance to the tunnel way for the trains the two began their deep dive into the no longer functioning station.

"Okay it a bit of a walk so let's talk. What do you know about a super villain name Professor Menace?" Soul Power asked Static raised an eyebrow at the name.

"Other then the fact that is definitely a bad guy named from the early 1900s nothing really." Static admitted, getting annoyed look from the older electric meta.

"Figures you kid should study up your history a little bit. Any Professor Menace was a mad scientist from back in my day." Soul Power began.

"Though he relied mostly on gimmicks like robots to do his dirty work. He was still a super evil genius who created a lot of messed up devices." Soul stated as they walked through the dark tunnels of the subway.

"So what, you think this Professor Menace kidnapped Madelyn?" Static asked, walking side by side on the platform.

"I have no hard evidence but I'm almost positive it was him." Soul Power said as they came to a door with a combination lock on it. Soul power quickly blasted off the lock and opened up the door as Static followed him inside.

"Welcome sparky to the Power Pad!" Soul exclaimed as they entered.

"Okay one, don't call me Sparky and two don't change the subject why do you think-whoa!?" Static was cut off as he was left speechless at the room they entered, it was legit a secret HQ from the early 1900s. The computers looked 60 to 70 years old, though it all would have been considered back in the day Hi-Tech looking devices all. As he slowly turned around getting a better look at the surroundings he even spotted what look like a car covered by a sheet.

"Look around while I see if the place is still working." Soul Power said walking up to a block of panels and charging a large amount of electricity through them powering up the old secret hideout and turning on all the lights in most of the devices.

"This place runs on your own personal electricity?" Static asked, he didn't want to admit it but he was actually really impressed.

"Of course, if I try to connect it to an outside source of energy someone was bound to catch on sooner or later." Soul Power explained, Static nodded it made sense and it also made things much more convenient that he was an electric powered heroes so why not simply use his own energy levels to power his HQ, cutting out the middleman and making it more secure.

"Oh yeah, 30 years without cranking it up and it works like a charm." Soul Power said please as Static normally would have commented about the lame name but seeing as he didn't have a secret HQ himself 'the watchtower being for the Justice League as a whole' he kept that comment to himself and just kept looking around before he spotted an old photo of a Soul Power in his Prime along with what look like another electric powered superhero in a full body suit.

"Hey who this?" Static asked picking up the photo.

"Huh oh that, that was my teenage Sidekick, good kid but kinda of mouthy." Soul stated frowning as he look over his equipment and take notice that some of it had been changed out with newer components.

"What was his name?" Static, " Sparky... but I'd prefer it if you called me Philip Rollins." both of them jump as the large computer screen came on showing an elderly man in his mid to late fifties wearing a light gray business seat and glasses.

"Hey Sparky, glad to see ya." Soul Power smiled at seeing his old partner face, Philip chuckled slightly at his former mentors carefreeness.

"Hey there so power as you've likely already noticed I've done a bit of upgrading to the place so that we can better communicate with each other." Philip admitted.

"I thought this place look a bit different." Soul Power replied having already noticed some of the equipment change as Static came to his side.

"So this guy use to be your sidekick?" Static asked looking over the older man.

"Yes, and you wouldn't believe all the trouble he cause me. But more on that later." Philip smirk getting annoyed chuckle out of Soul Power and a short laugh out of Static.

"On to the matter at hand, I've located the final components for the P.E.S.D." Philip stated, however Static simply look at him confused while his mentor suddenly turn sheepish causing him to groan.

"You didn't tell him about the machine did you?" it was a rhetorical question, Soul Power look away a bit embarrassed that he for got.

"Okay, he at least told about Professor Menace?" Philip asked.

"Yeah some bad guy from the middle ages with a thing for making walking whine up toys!" Static replied causing Soul Powers eyes to twitch and Philip chuckled.

"That one way to put it, the robots were mostly used for breaking and entering, ya know stealing tech, but he had two things he was really know for, one of which was a Psychic Energy Siphoning Device or P.E.S.D." Philip explained, Virgil's eyes narrow at the Psychic part.

"P.E.S.D., simply put is a device a machine built to steal psychic energy from telepaths and telekinetic." Virgil frown deepen as he turn to Soul Power, sighed.

"Your girlfriend is a telepaths. Professor Menace is after the Psychic energy Madelyn's mind emits." Soul Power explained.

"How did he even found out, and what makes you so sure it this Professor Menace guy that kidnapped her?" Static asked, he also wanted to ask how they knew about his and Madelyn's powers but one thing at a time.

"Telepaths are ease to find if you know what to look for, but are rare enough they finding them is also difficult to do so." Soul Power stated sagely, however Static stated at him flatly as did Philip.

"That didn't answer his question ya know. young and experienced telepaths almost always have a slight tell when their powers are in use." Philip explained.

"For Madelyn, one time there was an angry family member of a senior citizen at the center who got into a major argument with one of the house cleaning staff." Soul Power began re-incountering a certain incident.

"The argument was about to escalate into a full-on fist fight which I thought for certain I'd have to step however both of them suddenly calm down and they went their separate ways."

"Madelyn was right next to me, her eyes gave off a full purple glow. Clear sighs of a rookie telepath." Static groan as he heard this, Static already knew about her eyes glowing when she used her powers, but hadn't considered that retired superheroes and supervillains might be able to recognize this sign as well.

"As for how we know it was Professor Menace who kidnapped her, It the tech." Philip take over.

"On top of the stole parts for his Weather controlling device, the parts needed for the P.E.S.D along with separate tech for using in unknown ways have also stole from major tech farms." Philip explained but before he could go on both he and Soul Power notice all the color drain from Statics face. "Did you just say he made... a machine that lets him control weather?"
