Here we are at last! We're finally at the final clash against Captain Gutt and his crew. I hope you viewers are prepared for the icy clash, as well as an appearance by a speedy hero...not to mention a surprise ending. Without further ado, it's time for the final Continental Drift chapter!
Still floating on their ice boat, Max, Manny, Riolu, Sid, Diego, Espurr, Kovu, Norbert, Daggett, Granny, Sneasel, and Wynaut have finally made it back to Ice Age Valley. Now they were looking around to find Kate, Ellie, Peaches, Kiara, CatDog, Timon, Pumbaa, Crash, and Eddie.
Sid yelped and clung to the mast he was standing on when they bumped into something. Raising an eyebrow, Sneasel looked down and saw a tree and some ice floating in the water next to their ship.
"Kate! CatDog!" Max called out for his wife and brothers-in-law. When everyone looked ahead, they were shocked to see that the wall was now pushed through the valley and that the land bridge was destroyed.
Espurr had a sad look on her face. "Oh no. The land bridge."
"But, if it's gone, then how are we gonna-" Sid started to ask. "Sid." Riolu kindly cut him off.
The three that were the most worried were Max, Manny, and Kovu. Like the former two, the latter was in denial. "No! Don't think that! They might be on the other side!"
"Kovu, there is no other side." Diego told the lion.
"They have to be here!" Manny tried calling for his family. "Ellie! Peaches! I'm here!" No one responded to the call. "Please. She's gotta be here." Manny said in sadness.
Everyone else started to think that they might too late to save those that were still in Ice Age Valley at the time. Kovu sighed sadly with his eyes closed, feeling really bad for not being there for Kiara.
"No..." Max's ears drooped and he fell to his knees. They looked on in sadness, even Granny, Sneasel, and Wynaut looked sad. The two Outsiders started to think it was their fault this happened, because they and Scrat were the ones that ran on the core of Planet Serene.
Still holding the gem, Sneasel walked over to the very sad Pikachu. "Um...listen, Max? There's...There's something you should know. About that wall, I think..."
As the Sharp Claw Pokemon started, Max's ears shot up and twitched a bit. Hearing something else, Max opened his eyes, got on his feet and shushed Sneasel...which kinda offended the Outsider leader. "Hey! I'm trying to be nice to ya, Lightning Tail! Don't shush me!"
Max shushed him again before he asked a question. "Quiet. Don't you hear that?"
Daggett shrugged. "Hear what?" "Poor guy. The guilt of not making it in time must be getting to him." Wynaut guessed, still feeling bad for Max.
"No, I know I heard something! My ears have never let me down before!" Max looked ahead to look at something in the foggy area ahead of them. Seeing a familiar figure ahead of them, Max gasped in both relief and happiness. "Manny, Look!" The Pikachu pointed at what he was looking at, so his friends can get a look themselves. "Over there! It's..."
"Peaches?" Manny smiled happily as he looked at his daughter. "There she is!"
Ahead of them, standing on some ice was indeed Peaches. She was happy to see that her dad and those with him are back. "Dad!"
"We're coming, sweetie!" Manny turned the boat as they got closer. "Don't move!"
"Daddy!" Peaches happily cried out. "Peaches!" Manny happily replied.
Unfortunately, the happy times hit a snag. Why? Because a familiar evil laughter was heard, and soon Peaches was in the grip of Captain Gutt. "Welcome home, daddy!"
Peaches grunted. "Let go of me!"
Norbert's eyes widened. "Oh spoot!" The others, minus Granny, gasped once they saw the pirate captain.
"What are the odds?" Captain Gutt spoke again. "We were just talking about you."
As Max and his group got closer, they realized that the ice that Peaches was on was actually Captain Gutt's new ship. The residents of the valley were also being held prisoner to the pirates. "You like the new ship? I call her 'Sweet Revenge'." Captain Gutt said.
Daggett blinked a couple of times. "Wow...that's actually a good ship name." Of course, that made Norbert, Sneasel, and Riolu groan in annoyance. The yellow beaver slowly shook his head while the Dark/Ice-Type facepalmed himself.
"That's not all." They heard Totodile speak. So they looked back at the pirates. "Take a look here." Silas flew around. "We've gots a catch de jours."
They looked and saw that the pirates also tied up Ellie on the side of a wall of ice. They also tied up Kate and Kiara to a wooden pole...only they tied the two up using CatDog's body.
Max gasped. "Kate! CatDog!" Dog smiled and waved at his brother-in-law. "Hi, Max! Welcome back!"
"Kiara, you okay?" Kovu asked his wife. Despite the situation she was in, Kiara gave him a smile of relief. "Just a little tied up at the moment."
Manny gasped. "Ellie!"
"I'm alright." Ellie grunted when Squint tightened the rope a little. "Let my daughter go!" Both Captain Gutt and Totodile chuckled at the demand.
"It's okay. He wants me." Manny said seriously. "And I have a feeling Totodile's the one that wants me." Max added seriously. "And they're gonna get both of us."
Hearing someone groan, Diego looked over. He saw Shira on Sweet Revenge, panting and trying to stay on her paws.
"Both of you sacrificing yourselves for the mammoth's daughter. How touching...how predictable." Gutt said.
Totodile chuckled a little. "Oh, it's not just you, Pikachu." He pointed at a surprised Sneasel. "But also Scissor Fingers over there."
"Me?!" Sneasel asked in shocked.
"There's no other Pokemon here with claws like yours, is there?" Gutt asked. "Now, come and get her."
A plank was set so Manny, Max, and a nervous Sneasel can cross. Wanting nothing more than to make sure Kiara's safe, Kovu was quick to join them.
"Good day, mates." Raz greeted. Flynn smiled. "You remember us? We're the bad guys."
Sneasel rolled his eyes. "Kinda hard to forget you and your crew, Pudding Bag."
Manny looked at Captain Gutt straight in the eye. "Alright, let them go."
"I still don't see how I got mixed up in this." Sneasel shrugged with an annoyed look.
Gutt chuckled at Manny's request. "I don't think so. You and your little yellow friend destroyed everything I had. I'm just returning to favor." The monkey turned his attention to Sneasel. "As for you, Totodile just wants something that you and the yellow rodent took from our ship."
"Huh?" Sneasel and Max asked together. Totodile pointed at the turquoise gem Sneasel's holding. "Just kindly hand over the gem and we'll kindly let you and your little blue friend there go...but the Pikachu sticks around and dies."
His greedy side kicking in again, Sneasel held the gem close to his chest. "No! It's my gem, Wynaut and I found it first! I don't care what you guys do to Volt Boy and his friends, but I'm not giving this baby up for anything!"
"Gee, thanks a lot, Sneasel." Max deadpanned.
Totodile sighed and slowly shook his head. "Why do they always want to do this the hard way?" Gutt gave his crew a nod as a signal.
"NO!" Max, Kovu, and Manny shouted. Soon, Squint quickly tied them and Sneasel up with some rope. The Sharp Claw Pokemon still held the turquoise gem close.
"I warned you." Gutt said.
Just before anyone could do anything else..."Stop!" Another voice was heard. Everyone looked to see who yelled. They looked over at Crash and Eddie who were trying to tiptoe away. Knowing they got caught, the twins just nervously pointed at who really shouted earlier...which was actually Louis. The molehog had a determined angry look on his face. "Let the mammoths, lion, and Pokemon go!"
Sneasel blinked in confusion. "Huh? Who's the kid?"
Kovu's eyes widened a little. "Louis?" "Wiener?" Manny couldn't believe it himself. What was Louis thinking?
Totodile laughed a little. "Oh, you've gotta be kidding me!"
Captain Gutt laughed himself. "Who brought the muscle to the party?"
Peaches didn't want her molehog friend to get in the middle of this mess. "Louis, don't!"
Even Ethan couldn't believe what Louis was doing. "What's he doing? He's gonna get himself killed."
Timon and Pumbaa were among the crowd, and they were both surprised and worried by Louis' choice. "Kid, what are you doing? They're dangerous!" Timon warned. "It's not safe! Come back!" Pumbaa added.
"It's okay!" Louis told them. "I can handle him."
"How cute, a hero." Gutt said. "Let's see what bravery gets you." He turned to the badger in his crew. "Gupta, give the lad your weapon."
Gupta took out his knife. "Nice knowing you kid." the badger pirate threw the knife in front of Louis.
Louis grabbed hold of the knife, and tried to pull it out of the ice...only he was having a tough time trying to pull it out. It was entertaining for the pirates who began to laugh. Even Daggett laughed at what he was seeing, but he stopped when his brother nudged him to quiet him down.
Soon all laughing stopped when Louis finally pulled the knife out and pointed it at Gutt. The captain pointed his own weapon in return. "Let's dance, hero."
Louis tried to get the knife ready, but he was struggling to do so. Next thing everyone knew, the molehog tossed the knife into the air, catching everyone's attention. When the knife hit the ice again...Louis was nowhere to be seen!
Wynaut blinked in confusion. "Huh? Where'd he go?"
While everyone was looking for the molehog, Max's ears twitched a little again. Curious, he looked down and was surprised to see that something was burrowing underneath the ice. Something came out of the ice next to Captain Gutt...and that someone was Louis! The molehog smashed a block of ice on Gutt's foot, making him yell out in pain while also letting go of Peaches.
Totodile growled once he saw that. "Why you little..." His claws began to glow purple again. He would've attacked himself...but four more voices shouted again, this time from behind him. "Huh?" He turned around and saw that Pumbaa was charging straight at him. Timon, Crash, and Eddie were riding on the warthog's back. "Another diversion!?" Pumbaa bashed Totodile away, giving Peaches and Louis time to run away to safety.
With the pirates distracted, Manny, Max, Kovu, and Sneasel broke free from the vines.
"Nice work, guys!" Riolu complimented Louis, Timon, Pumbaa, and the possum twins. "Now, let's begin the real fight!" He and Espurr ran on the plank to start the fight with the pirates.
"Don't just stand there like barnacles, get them!" Captain Gutt ordered his crew. The pirates complied and rushed at the Pride Team.
Manny rushed over to his wife to free her, but Raz was quicker and was able to stop him. "Oi! Goin' somewhere, mate?" Manny was able to dodge a set of sharp teeth the kangaroo was using as her weapon.
Sid, Granny, Norbert, and Daggett gave out a Tarzan yell just before they swung on the single vine they were holding on to. They swung to battle...only to be caught by Flynn's big belly. The seal bounced them off just before being joined by Gupta.
"Let me at'em!" Granny held her cane up and tried to fight the two pirates, but Sid pulled her away with Norbert and Daggett following the sloths. The three of them were screaming as they did.
The four of them stopped at the edge of the ship, and with the two pirates behind them with their weapons ready. "Any last words?" Gupta asked the sloths and beavers.
"Precious!" Granny called out behind her.
"ENOUGH WITH THE PRECIOUS!" The three boys shouted in annoyance.
The pirates noticed something big emerging from the water behind the enemy. They gasped, dropped their weapons, and ran away screaming.
Thinking that they somehow scared Flynn and Gupta away, Daggett laughed in triumph. "HA! Go ahead and run! Next time, you spooty pirates will know better than to cross our path!"
Sid was siding with the brown beaver. "Yeah! I guess we showed them, huh?" Norbert raised an eyebrow at the two of them.
"Precious!" The old lady sloth beamed happily. Hearing Granny, the three of them turned around...and they couldn't believe their eyes.
"That's Precious!?" Sid, Norbert, and Daggett exclaimed in disbelief, unable to accept that not only was the sloth's grandmother's pet was real all this time, but it was...a giant whale!
"Um, Norby?" Daggett began, nervously. "Am I having a really kooky dream, or is that the mother of all whales right in front of us?"
"I'd say it's a very kooky dream, Dag...But I'd be lying." His brother responded, blankly as his own thoughts that he was dreaming were thrown right out of the window.
Sid also couldn't believe that his own grandmother was right about her pet the whole time. "Maybe that crazy old bat isn't that crazy after all." Unfortunately he spoke too soon, because Precious pulled her laughing owner into her mouth using her tongue.
"Nope, she's nuts." Sid, Norbert, and Daggett deadpanned together.
Precious still held her mouth open in front of Sid and the beavers. "You waiting for a formal invitation, boys? Get in." Granny ordered the three from inside her pet whale.
The three of them groaned. "Come on, guys. Better do what the whale owner says." Norbert told the other two. "Okay, but if she hits me with her cane once we get inside, I'm blaming you." Daggett told his brother. "I'm gonna regret this." Sid was the last to enter the mouth, so he held his breath and closed the whale's mouth. With the four passengers inside her, Precious began to sink back into the water.
Back at the battle, Sneasel and Wynaut just stood there and watched the Pride Team take on the pirates.
"Bombs away!" Silas even tossed Gupta down at Manny. The mammoth finally got the badger off his face...just as the warthog pirate, Dobson pushed him off the ship and on to the other one.
The two Outsiders even watched as Gutt was chasing Diego up the mast of the other ship. "Don't be a scaredy cat!" the captain taunted.
Not wanting to be around the chaos any longer, Sneasel turned his head to the Bright Pokemon. "Wynaut, let's take our gem and get outta here before those pirates decide to come after us again."
"Sneasel, I'm with you." Wynaut nodded in agreement.
While battling against both Max and Riolu, Totodile looked and noticed Sneasel and Wynaut trying to run away with the turquoise gem in Sneasel's claws. "The emerald! I must have it!" He was able to slash the first two Pride Team members away with his claws. "I'll deal with you later!" He told Max and Riolu before he ran after Sneasel and Wynaut.
Riolu rolled his eyes. "Sheesh, what's his rush? It's like he wasn't even interested in fighting us."
"You're right. In fact, during the fight, I noticed that he kept saying that he'd get the emeralds no matter who stands in my way." Max agreed.
Riolu nodded his head. "Yeah. That strange Pokemon doesn't even care who wins and who loses. He just wants that gem for himself."
"The gem..." Max's eyes widened in realization. "So that's the real reason he...SNEASEL!" Max quickly ran after Totodile and the Outsiders with Riolu right behind him. The Fighting-Type must've came to the same conclusion as his Electric-Type partner.
While the battle was going on, Precious was still swimming underwater.
Sid, Norbert, and Daggett screamed as they slid down to the bottom of the whale. They got to the bottom, which was covered in pink goop and smelled pretty bad.
Daggett gagged and coughed because of the stink. "Well, Granny..." He wheezed a bit. "We're here like you *cough* told us! Jeez it stinks." He whispered the last part to himself.
Norbert cringed as he looked the gunk on his fingers. "I believe this calls for some major showerification once this is all over."
Sid cringed as he look at the gunk on his arms. "Ugh! That smells worse than me!"
All three of them were startled when Granny popped up next to her grandson. "Precious, set your flippers ninety degrees north!" She ordered her pet. "Granny's done runnin'!"
"Back off!" Ellie told Shira, but was surprised to see that the female saber was actually trying to free her. "It's okay. I'm on your side." She even told Ellie.
A knife was what made Shira stop. The two of them looked and saw that it was Squint who threw the knife. "I KNEW you were a traitor!" Squint told the saber...and even wiggling his nose as he did.
Shira decided to taunt the rabbit because of the nose. "Oh, your little bunny nose wiggles in the cutest way when you're mad."
"What!?" Squint didn't take that very well, and now he was ready to slice and dice! "Your nine lives are over, Kitty!"
Suddenly, Squint found himself being spun around by a bunch of random colored leaves, next he was smacked into the ground by a lioness' paw. Finally, Squint found himself face to face with Dog growling at him.
The rabbit pirate noticed that Kate, Kiara, CatDog, Kovu, Timon, Pumbaa, Crash, and Eddie standing in front of him with smirks on their faces. "Silly rabbit, piracy doesn't pay!" Kate even told the rabbit.
"Hey, that's not cool! Come on!" Squint groaned.
Sneasel and Wynaut were still running away, but they stopped once they saw Max and Riolu right in front of them. "Wha!?" Wynaut even yelped.
Sneasel glared at the two. "What do you want now?"
"Quick, Sneasel! Give me the gem!" Max held out a hand.
"Oh no, you don't!" Sneasel held the emerald away from the enemy. "We had a deal, remember?"
"I know, Sneasel, but I need to have the gem back!" Max argued. "You can get back to your vacation in peace if you do!"
Wynaut tilted his head in confusion. "What are you talking about?" "Don't listen to them, Wynaut." Sneasel assured his partner. "Those Pride Bozos just want the gem for themselves and take all the money this baby will sell for!"
Riolu shook his head. "No, you guys don't understand! It's that Totodile that's with the pirates! He wants the gem for himself, he doesn't even care if our side wins the fight!"
Sneasel rolled his eyes, not believing a single word that was being told. "Why should I believe you guys? Sure that guy's serious when it comes to looting for the pirates, but I find it hard to believe that he'll run away once he gets a gem like this."
"Sneasel, this is serious!" Max argued. "Riolu and I have noticed that side of Totodile while we were fighting him! He really wants not only that gem, but many more that are like that one!"
Wynaut smiled. "Did you say there are more like this one?" Sneasel smirked as an idea came to him. "Now that's music to my ears. Why cash in just one gem, when we can find the others and be set for life? Hey, thanks for letting us know that, Lightning Tail! Wynaut and me have more of these gems to find!" The two Outsiders were set to leave, but...
"NO!" Max stopped them by grabbing on to the emerald in a firm grip. "Keep holding on to this and Totodile will kill you!"
Sneasel snarled and tried to pull the gem away. "Hey! Let go, you annoying yellow pest!"
"You let go, Scissor Fingers!" Max pulled as well. Soon the two Pokemon were in a Tug-o-War match for the gem.
"Hold on, Max! I'll help ya, buddy!" Riolu held on to Max and pulled as well.
Sneasel grunted and strained as he turned his eyes to the little Psychic-Type behind him. "Wynaut, don't just stand there like a Slowbro! Help me!" Wynaut grabbed on to his partner and pulled as well.
The four of them may be pulling, but Sneasel and Max were the only ones arguing.
Totodile noticed the four Pokemon fighting over the gem, he growled and raced over to them. Espurr noticed this and tried to stop him. "Stop! Psychic!" Her eyes glowed as she tried to stop Totodile in place...but to her confused shock, her Psychic wasn't effecting him at all. She flew off to warn her friends. "Max! Riolu! WATCH OUT!"
Max, Riolu, Sneasel, and Wynaut heard her and stopped fighting...just as Totodile jumped up with a faint glow coming from his fists. That made the four of them scream before Sneasel finally gave in and shoved the gem in Max's paws. "Okay, okay, I believe it! You can have it!" The Sharp Claw Pokemon yelled in fear.
"GIVE ME THAT CHAOS EMERALD!" Totodile shouted just before he landed and slammed his fists on the ice and letting a pitch-black shock wave loose. Max, Riolu, and Espurr were knocked onto their ship while Sneasel and Wynaut were launched high into the air, disappearing from sight. The two Outsiders were screaming as they flew away.
Most of those that were trying to help free Ellie were also blown away by the shock wave and landed on the other ship. The Pride Team members got up and glared at the pirates in front of them.
Just as Gutt, Totodile, and some of their crew had Max, Manny, Riolu, Diego, and Kovu cornered, suddenly there was a blue blur that zoomed past them and hit the pirates hard like pinballs, causing the villains to scream and hit the deck hard.
"Huh!?" Max and his friends exclaimed in shock, not having expected that.
"What was that!?" Kovu exclaimed, his eyes wide.
"Who did that!?" Captain Gutt demanded.
Suddenly the blue ball bounced and spun before uncurling itself to reveal...a blue hedgehog about the height of an eight year old human boy but looking around fifteen years of age, with six long quills on the back of his head, two more on his back, having peach colored muzzle, arms and chest, wearing white gloves and red and white sneakers with golden buckles.
"Whoa! I didn't expect this to be a cruise fight. Good thing I made it just in time for the party!" The blue hedgehog remarked, smirking.
Everyone was dumbfounded to see an unfamiliar blue hedgehog that looked a bit human and had unexpectedly come to the rescue.
"Where did this blue kid come from?" Manny asked. CatDog just shrugged their shoulders, not sure how else to answer the question.
"You little blue rat! You must be another one of that Pikachu and mammoth's so called members of the Pride Team!" Gutt growled dangerously, furious over the blue savior's arrival.
That made the blue hedgehog glare at him back. "First off, I'm not a rat, you overgrown chimp! I'm a hedgehog! And second, I've heard about the Pride Team, but I didn't expect to actually meet them, let alone come to save them."
"You...heard of us?" Max trailed off, shocked. "Who are you?"
The blue hedgehog glanced over his shoulder and introduced himself with a thumbs-up and a grin. "I'm Sonic: Sonic the Hedgehog! But let's save the introductions for later and beat these clowns, huh?"
While he had so many questions for this hedgehog named Sonic, Max knew that they had a bigger problem on their hands. He and the others got ready to fight the pirates that just recovered from Sonic's surprise attack.
Precious surfaced a little so Sid could pop his head out the blowhole.
Sid looked down at himself. "Anyone got a body wipe?"
"Suck it up, buttercup!" Granny held on and use her grandson like a periscope. "How's it looking?"
Sid was looking ahead and saw that the battle was getting intense, even with Sonic's help. "Not good, Granny sir. I even see some blue guy I've never seen before helping our friends out."
Daggett blinked in confusion. "Blue guy?"
Sid nodded. "Yeah. I may not know him, but he sure moves fast."
"Where did this blue guy even come from?" Norbert asked.
"Doesn't matter." Granny pushed Sid up. "Full speed ahead! Dive, dive, dive!" Precious dove back into the water.
The pirates were trying to get Sonic while also ready to finish the Pride Team off. "You're not even on the same team as them, so stay out of this, you fast pest!" Totodile growled.
Sonic began to think sarcastically. "Nope, sorry." He sped away from Silas. "I have a zero tolerance policy on bullies." He sped away again, this time away from Raz. "So, I'm not going anywhere until you guys are down for the count!"
Just after Sonic said that, something popped out of the water behind the Pride Team. They looked and were surprised and confused to see a whale right in front of them...and with the blowhole aimed at the pirates.
"FIRE!" Granny shouted. Precious fired at the pirates, with Sid still on the blowhole, this time with Norbert and Daggett by his side. "Yeah, baby!" Daggett cheered. "Now it's time for you pirates to learn a big bad Pride Team lesson!" Norbert told the pirates they were shooting down one-by-one.
Gutt and Totodile moved out of the way. Flynn was the last one, and he was loving the water that he was being hit with. "Oh, this feels so good! Oh, thank you, Mister Whale!" He got the gender of the whale wrong, but he still happily landed into the water.
"Unbelievable!" Cat rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
As Precious slowly sunk back into the water, Sid took the time to wave to his friends. "Hi, guys!"
Hearing the voice, Manny and Max turned around and were surprised to see Sid and the beavers in the whale. "Sid!?" Manny asked in shock. "Norb!? Dag!?" Max asked in shock.
"Help!" Ellie and Kate's voice yelled out, making their husbands turn around again. Everyone saw that the wall that crushed Ice Age Valley was crumbling. Pieces were falling off and some of them almost hit Ellie and Kate. "Manny!/Max!" The two called out.
"Mom!" Peaches called out. "Kate!" CatDog cried out worried.
"It's okay, CatDog! I'll get Kate!" Max ran over to the plank.
Peaches tried to get over, but was stopped by Manny. "No, Peaches. I'll get your mother, you stay there!" Both he and Max rushed to get to Kate and Ellie.
Kate got to her feet, but stayed close to Ellie. "Hurry, Max!" "Hold on, Honey! We're coming!" Max called out.
Just as Manny was about to step on, Captain Gutt used his claws to cut the vine connecting the boats. Totodile even broke the plank in half. The boat was pushed away a little to prevent Max and Manny from getting any closer.
Totodile glared at Max. "If you won't give me the emerald, then you can say goodbye to your precious Togetic." Gutt smirked at Manny. "Payback time."
Both the Pikachu and mammoth gasped as the two pirates got closer to their waves. Gutt's claws were even dragging on the ice. "Manny!/Max!" Ellie and Kate called out again.
"Ellie!/Kate!" Manny and Max called out.
Sonic was about to rush in, but... "I got this, Dad!" Peaches ran up and began to swing around with the vines. "Whoa..." Sonic muttered in awe.
"Peaches, no! It's too dangerous!" Manny warned.
"Not if you're half-possum." Peaches was displaying her amazing possum swinging skills. Just as Gutt and Totodile were about to finish Ellie and Kate off, Peaches was able to swing over and smack the two away in one clear shot. And when she landed next to the two, she blew part of her hair back.
Sonic whistled. "That was tight!"
Kovu laughed. "Yeah, Peaches!" He even had Louis on his back. "Way to use your skills!" Kiara cheered.
"She did it!" Manny smiled in relief. But then he looked down for a moment. "My daughter's all grown up."
Max looked at his friend before he placed a hand on his tusk. Manny looked over to see his little yellow friend giving him a gentle smile. "You've raised her well, Manny. She's one of the futures of the Pride Team." The Pikachu leader said softly. Surprisingly, Manny nodded in agreement just before he knocked a tree off their boat to act as another plank. They used it to walk across to reach their families.
"Now that was one of the most amazing things I've seen, Peaches." Kate complimented her goddaughter while using Roost on herself. The shock wave didn't seem that effective, but it still hurt.
"That's my girl." Ellie said. Peaches used a knife to cut her mother free. Just as Max and Manny reached them, a rumbling was heard. They looked over to see that the wall was still pushing through and was now beginning to sink over to the water.
"Come on, we need to get out of here!" Kate was able to fly again, so she flew into CatDog's arms.
"Go, go!" Max waved his hands to the other boat.
Peaches and Ellie raced over themselves. "We're right behind you!" Manny assured them.
"No!" Captain Gutt stopped Manny by grabbing his tusks. "I'm right behind you!"
"Hold it!" Max didn't get far because Totodile grabbed him by his tail. "You're not going anywhere!"
The others saw this and gasped. "Dad! Max!" Peaches cried out.
As if that wasn't bad enough, parts of the wall hit the bottom of the water, and making some of the land rise up from the water. What's worse is that some of the land from underneath Manny, Gutt, Max, and Totodile rose up, taking the four of them, and the part of Sweet Revenge they were standing on, with it.
"NO!" Kate cried out. Sonic growled a little with a look of determination on his face.
Now Manny and Max were sliding down the land on the ice while fighting off both Captain Gutt and Totodile. "There's nowhere to run, Manny and Max!" Gutt yelled.
While Max and Totodile fought each other using their own moves, Manny and Gutt were battling using the discarded weapons that were by their feet.
"Once I get you out of the way, hunting the rest of the emeralds down will be as easy as pie!" Totodile was slashing with Shadow Claw, but Max was able to dodge the attack.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but I DO know that I have to stop you and Gutt here and now!" Max tried to use his Grass Knot, but he gasped when Totodile easily grabbed on to the grass...without using his jaws.
Totodile began to spin around, taking a yelping Max with him. "HA! If you think it's going to be that easy, then I'm afraid you're sadly mistaken! As you can see, I can be a very stubborn POKEMON!" At the shout, he tossed Max far ahead of the ice.
"You know, this ocean isn't big enough for the both of us." Gutt told Manny, letting the Pokemon have their own fight.
Manny was able to pin Gutt down. "Don't worry! You won't take up much space once I flatten both you and Totodile!" But he was forced to let go once Gutt sunk his claws on his front foot. Totodile even slashed him away with Shadow Claw.
At one point during the battle, Captain Gutt got off the ice to swing on some branches before he smacked into Manny. A branch broke off as Gutt was swinging. Totodile gave off a dark chuckle as he looked ahead. "That Pikachu is as good as a pancake, and the Chaos Emerald he's holding will be mine!"
Max groaned and stood up where he landed, but then he gasped once he saw the ice sliding towards him. Just as the ice was about to hit him...Max was suddenly pulled away by a blue blur.
Totodile saw the blur as well and was shocked. "What the heck!?" Gutt turned to Totodile. "What is it?"
"Hey!" The three of them turned and noticed that Sonic was holding Max while running alongside the ice. "Don't think I'm just gonna stand by while you fight!"
Totodile growled angrily. "I'm really starting to hate that hedgehog and I just encountered him!"
Captain Gutt held up the branch he broke off. "I may have told tubby and his yellow friend this before, but this warning goes out to you two, Hedgehog: You shouldn't have messed with the master of the seas!"
Manny looked over at Max and Sonic. Seeing that the mammoth may have an idea, the two gave a nod with the hedgehog smirking. "You know, sometimes, it pays to weigh eleven tons!" Manny jumped back on the ice, launching both Gutt and Totodile into the air, and also making the monkey let go of the branch.
"Captain Gutt's all yours, Manny!" Max said just before Sonic jumped into the air.
Manny caught the branch. "Bon voyage, Monkey Boy!" The mammoth used it to smack Captain Gutt as far away from here as possible.
"Oh man!" Totodile groaned.
"Don't forget us!" Sonic yelled out. Soon the Pikachu and the hedgehog began to hit Totodile multiple times. Sonic was using his Homing attack while Max used his Volt Tackle.
"Happy flying, Jaws!" Wrapping up his attack with a powerful spark, Max was able to send Totodile flying far away as well.
Sonic and Max landed on the ice...just as they and Manny noticed that they were going to hit a ramp. Next thing they knew, the three of them were now in the air.
Suddenly, Precious jumped out of the water and opened her mouth. Norbert and Daggett were poking out of the blowhole. "Ahoy, mateys!" the latter happily greeted. "Did somebody hail a whale?" Norbert added casually. Precious was able to catch Max, Manny, and Sonic in her mouth before diving into the water.
Sonic looked around and blinked in shock. "Whoa! Since when did you guys get a whale?" Max shook his head. "Don't ask me."
Manny looked around, smiling nervously. "So...you must be Precious." The whale gave off some positive response.
"Mission accomplished, Granny!" Sid saluted.
"Ha! Who says old ladies can't drive?" Granny asked.
Now realizing the truth about the whale, Max gave off a sheepish smile. "Uh, Granny? Sorry I doubted you about the whole Precious thing."
Captain Gutt landed in the water far away from the valley, breathing heavily while hanging on to a piece of floating ice.
Something was swimming in the water behind him. At first, he was cautious, but something else caught his attention. The clam opened up to reveal...a beautiful monkey in a red dress. "Oh, Captain Gutt!"
Gutt, entranced by her beauty, swam over to the lady. "That's me..."
"Let's rule the seas together." the woman said. "Aye aye." Gutt agreed. However, just as he was about to kiss her, he soon found that it was actually a siren...only he realized too late. The siren that tricked him pulled him into the clam that just shut, even with more sirens swimming over. Looks like the sirens were going to eat well now!
And that was the end of the so-called 'Master of the Seas'.
Back at the water next to the ruined Ice Age Valley, Kate and everyone else there were waiting silently for their friends.
Soon, Manny, Max, and Sonic were seen sailing back over to them on Precious' head. "There they are!" Pumbaa happily exclaimed. "Woo-hoo!" Timon cheered.
"Dad!" Peaches was beyond happy.
"Yeah! That's my best friend!" Riolu happily cheered.
"How's that for an entrance?" Max smiled. Sonic shivered and was dripping a little. "Kinda wish it was a little dryer though."
They got off and Max and Manny went over to their families. "Max!" Kate happily gave her husband a big hug.
"Good to have you back." Cat said. He and Dog happily hugged Max as well. Dog even gave the Pikachu a bunch of dog licks, making him laugh. "I know, Dog I know! Please, stop! You're tickling me!" Max laughed.
Peaches gave her father a hug as well. "Dad!" Ellie was quick to join them. "Manny." The mammoths hugged each other. "I told you your father would never give up on us." Ellie told Peaches. "Never." Manny agreed.
Precious shot something out her blowhole...that something was Sid, who surprisingly landed on his feet. Daggett and Norbert were next...but they landed on their faces next to Sonic who stepped back in surprise.
Seeing that he landed on his feet, Sid was quite happy. "Hey, I actually-" He was cut off when Granny landed on his back.
Riolu walked over and offered a hand to help Granny off. She accepted and walked off her grandson.
Just as the sloth stood up, Manny spoke to him. "You know, Sid? You're not such a screw-up."
Sid smiled after hearing that. "Aw, really?"
Manny smiled back. "Really. You're a hero."
Max finally got Dog to stop licking him as he walked over to the beavers to help them up. "Norb, Dag...the same goes for both of you. You two are heroes as well."
Daggett gasped happily. "You mean...like Muscular Beaver?" Norbert rolled his eyes and chuckled a little.
Sighing, Max still smiled gently. "Yeah, Dag. Just like Muscular Beaver."
Daggett gave off a toothy smile. "Kooky!" Norbert shrugged. "All part of being in the Pride Team."
Kovu walked over to Granny. "You're a hero too, Granny."
Granny pulled the lion close with her walking stick. "Thanks, lady."
"Look, I'm not a lady. I'm..." With a sigh, Kovu decided to just let it go. "You know what? Forget it." He just went over to Kiara and the two gave each other a nuzzle, they were both happy to see each other again.
Shira walked over to Diego. "So, still want me on your scurvy crew?"
"You bet. Welcome to the Pride Team." Diego smiled at the fellow saber who smiled at him in return.
Louis looked over at the two sabers. "Hey you." Until a voice from behind made him turned. He looked to see Peaches smiling down at him. "I can't believe you did that for me. Thank you."
"Well, someone once told me, no matter what...you never leave a friend behind." Louis said.
Kiara and Kovu walked over to their friends. "Still, that was some impressive stuff back there." Kiara told him.
"All this sweetness is gonna rot my teeth...if I had any." Granny smacked her gums together, reminding herself that she still lost her teeth.
Just as Espurr, Timon, Pumbaa, Crash, and Eddie gathered around the team and Sonic, everyone looked over at Ice Age Valley...or at least where Ice Age Valley once stood.
"Our home is gone. Where do we go know?" Peaches asked.
Kovu frowned, before he smiled softly at both Peaches and Granny. "Actually, Max, Manny, and I have a good idea on where to go...That is, with the help of Precious."
Soon, the ice ship, now full of not just the Pride Team members, but also full of animals, Pokemon, and Sonic too started to sail out at sea.
The ship had some help from Precious. Granny was waving to her pet. Precious squirted water on Granny as a form of kiss, making the elderly sloth laugh a little. "Aw. Momma loves you too!" After that, Precious dove back into the water, knowing that her job is done...at least until Granny calls for her again.
Where were they going? Under Kovu's suggestion, everyone sailed right on back to Switchback Cove. As they sailed their way to their new home, everyone was in awe at how beautiful the place looks. There was even a statue of a hyrax as well.
Speaking of which, the hyraxes saw them come back, they got on the boat to greet them...mostly Sid. The sloth and the leader happily talked to each other before ending it with a hug.
Sonic chuckled as he looked around. "I gotta hand it to ya. You sure know how to pick a new home for these guys." He told Kovu who smirked back at the blue hedgehog.
Both Louis and Peaches were amazed by the place. "Whoa! I can't wait to check this place out!" Louis even said. Peaches agreed. "Yeah!" Kiara and Kovu stood next to them.
"Excuse me?" Manny was now standing in front of them.
Peaches gasped. "Dad!" She thinks that Manny was going to go into 'Protective Father' mode again.
"When you four get off this ship, I expect all four of you to...have fun." The teens gave him a weird look. "You're a brave kid, Wiener." He told Louis.
"Wait, what?" Peaches couldn't believe what she was hearing from her dad. "Come again?" Kiara even asked Manny.
"You heard me. You four should go out and explore like the future Pride Team members you are. Go where the day takes you." Manny told them. They smiled at each other. "But be back before sunset." Manny quickly added with a serious face.
"An hour after sunset?" Peaches asked. Still serious, Manny managed to give a playful smile. "Yeah, not a minute later."
"Deal. I love you, Dad." Peaches gave Manny a hug before she walked off with Louis, Kiara, and Kovu.
Max looked over at the four of them before he walked over. "Louis, wait!" He even called out to the molehog.
The kids stopped just as Max came over with something in his hand. "Here, for you." He handed Louis a Pride Team badge.
Louis' eyes widened in amazement. "Wow. Is this really for me, sir?"
Max smiled and nodded. "It is. I was really impressed by your courage and skills against the pirates. We could use something like that in the team, Louis."
Louis smiled and put his new badge away. "Th-Thank you, sir. I won't let you down."
"That's what I like to hear. But seriously, just call me Max." Max chuckled a little and shooed the four of them away. "Now get going and have fun, you crazy kids."
Just then, Ethan and his group of friends walked over to them. "Hey, okay if we hang with you guys?"
"Sure." Louis answered and shared a fist-bump with Ethan.
"I always like him." Steffie said. "Louis the hero. Brave-a-licious."
Manny watched them go with a sigh. "She's not my little girl anymore."
"And you're both going to be just fine." Ellie assured him. Manny even agreed. "I know."
As they watched the team members gather around, Granny spoke to her grandson. "You know, Sidney? You got yourself a nice family here. A real family."
"Yeah." Sid agreed and held an arm around Granny. "I'm pretty lucky."
Suddenly Granny held a kiwi in front of Sid. "Here, chew this kiwi for me."
However, Sid had a different idea. "Nuh-uh, never again...Ta-da!" He showed her the set of teeth he somehow got from the pirates.
"Huh?" Granny asked just before Sid placed the teeth in her mouth. She ate the kiwi as if she was chewing on a log like Norbert and Daggett, and she was satisfied with the new set of teeth.
The Pride Team was standing in front to look at Switchback Cove. "Hey, speedy." Granny even greeted Sonic. "Whoa." Sonic was a bit startled after he saw the teeth Granny had on.
Max and Riolu laughed a little after hearing Sonic's reaction. Suddenly, Max thought back to the final fight with the pirates...as well as what Mufasa was trying to tell him. "Wait a minute..." He quietly said.
Hearing him, Riolu turned to his pal. "What is it, Max?"
The Pikachu pulled out the turquoise emerald, then he began to look back and forth between Sonic and the emerald. "Riolu...I think that's him."
"Huh?" Riolu tilted his head.
"What Mufasa was trying to tell me! 'A young blue hero who goes like the wind' The same one that knows more about this gem than we do! We've finally met him!" Max quietly told Riolu.
The two of them looked back at Sonic, who kept looking ahead at Switchback Cove. "Well, what do you know? This event is just full of surprises." Riolu grinned.
Max looked back at the emerald with a serious frown. "It is, and I don't think this is the end. I'm getting the feeling that this is just the beginning, but of what?"
Still, the Pride Team can finally rest knowing they defeated the pirates and found a new home for all Ice Age life.
Meanwhile, out in the middle of the ocean, Scrat was exhausted, but he was determined to get to the destination that was on the map.
As fate would have it, he spotted something in front of him. He took a look at the map before he looked at the giant acorn like rocky land in front of him.
Scrat gasped happily. He's done it, he finally made it to his destination! In happiness, he tossed the map away and paddled over to the rocky land.
He stopped once he got closer to shore to look around. Since he wasn't paying attention, Scrat hit the shore hard when he got close enough. He gave off a painful moan just before a shadow loomed over him.
He looked up, and he was surprised to see that it was another saber-tooth squirrel in a toga. "Welcome, brother." he actually spoke as he held out a hand to Scrat.
Both confused and surprised, Scrat looked at the hand before he let the toga squirrel help him up. "Behold, Scratlantis." He showed Scrat the magnificent sight in front of them.
Scrat looked on, and his destination on the map was full of saber-tooth squirrels, both male and female in togas. Not only that, but it was full of acorns.
As he walked with the one who found him. Scrat looked around to see acorn fountains, Scratlantians making sculptures involving acorns, and so many more amazing acorn filled sights.
Scrat was beyond amazed...and like the nutball he is, Scrat happily laughed and ran off causing a happy acorn rampage. He was destroying sculptures, taking acorns from the residents, and even taking tiny ones off of some of the togas. But he didn't even care! Scrat was just a happy little nutball, hugging as many acorns as he can close to his body.
Just then, he spotted one of the biggest acorns he's ever seen in his life right in the middle of Scratlantis. He happily scurried off and tried to pull it off the ground.
"No! Stop!" The Scratlantian that found him got Scrat to stop and look at him. The other Scratlantians were looking at their own kind, some were annoyed by his actions and some were worried he might do something that might destroy their city. "Brother, rise above this base desire. Be more than a rodent."
At first, Scrat was trying to keep his cool. But it seems to be easier said than done for him. He grunted and tried to control himself, but in the end Scrat managed to pull the big acorn out of the ground...which happened to be a drain plug.
Confused, Scrat looked down at the hole. That's when the sound of water could be heard. Scrat whimpered just water shot out of the hole, and faster than one could say 'Swampert's Muddy Water surfing', all of Scratlantis began to sink into the ocean!
Scrat tried to get some acorns from the sinking city, but it was too late. All of Scratlantis was now gone...along with the water surrounding the city. Now Scrat was in the middle of a newly made desert!
He tried to dig for some any acorns...but all he did was make the ground crack a lot to complete the whole desert look.
It was so hot there now that a Pidgeotto that was flying by began to sweat like crazy. He landed next to Scrat, panted, and tried to use his wings to cool himself off. "Phew! Man, it's hot out here!"
Scrat didn't pay attention to Pidgeotto, instead the realization of his actions and bad luck hit him hard. He screamed at the top of his lungs, unknowingly startling Pidgeotto back into the skies.
Back with the sirens, they were satisfied that they at least got to eat something.
One of the sirens was suddenly pulled down into the water by something.
The other sirens looked on in confusion at the bubbles in front of them. Then, something shot out of the water in front of them. As the sirens looked...they were shocked to see that it was actually the dead body of one of their own kind.
Something came out of the water and landed on top of the clam they've been using. They looked up and saw...the scowling face of Totodile. He looked down at the trembling sirens. "Any of you parasites want to be next!?" He challenged.
The remaining sirens were actually pretty scared of the Pokemon, so they screamed and swam away in fear.
Totodile scoffed. "That's what I thought."
Totodile looked up at the sky. "Some help that useless pirate captain was, he couldn't find his way out of a birdbath." He growled once he thought back to he encounter with Max. "But that Pikachu...I'll make sure he pays for his meddling the next time we meet!"
Suddenly, Totodile pulled something out. "But before that..." What he was holding was another gem that looks exactly like the one Max was currently holding, only this one is blue. "I need to focus on something else. I've gotta get back to my original plan of finding all of the Chaos Emeralds."
As he kept looking at the emerald, Totodile slowly began to smirk. "I may have had a minor setback while I was with that pirate crew, but I'll soon have all of the emeralds in my hands. And once I get them all, nothing will stop me from making this entire planet my own! Planet Serene...WILL BE MINE!" He gave off an evil laugh with lightning dancing around the area along with the sound of thunder.
As Totodile laughed, the added lightning showed off his shadow...which looked like the shadow of a completely different Pokemon all together.
It seems that this strange event is only the beginning, not just for the Pride Team...or even the Outsiders...

*Heavy sigh* Finally, got it done! Sorry it took so long to finish this story, folks. But I can safely say that this concludes the first part of another saga in the Pride Team Adventures series called the Chaos Saga! I'm sure some of you kinda expected Sonic to come into series due to the disclaimer and the Chaos Emerald seen throughout the story. Speaking of which, I would like to give credit where credit is due. The idea of adding any Sonic the Hedgehog stuff into the Pride Team Adventures goes to a good friend of mine, as well a big supporter of the series: Tashasaurous! She's been a big help to me throughout this story, in fact some of the idea from it came from her! Show her some love and enjoy her own stories!
