Abandoned Baby
Chapter 201
Author's note: Sorry for the LONG hiatus everyone, life has been busy but I'm back and thankfully I'm able to catch up on writing again. Enjoy the next chapter of this story.
It was a beautiful day for the whole Galloway family. Drew was in the gym working out with his best friends Stephen (Sheamus) and Stu Bennet (Wade Barrett) meanwhile Bless was in the house in the kitchen cooking lunch while the kids were taking their naps so while she was cooking, she was waiting for the babies to wake up.
Bless was humming to herself while cutting up some veggie platter to put together as she smiled at her work. She was making some baked chicken with mixed veggies she put together and mashed potatoes that were still baking on the stove.
After Bless was done cooking, she cleaned up the area and started putting things together on the counter and for the table.
Soon enough, Catherine had woken up and rubbed her eyes and let out a small yawn as she kicked off her blankets. The little girl made her way out of her room to go downstairs where she could smell the the aroma of the food her mom was making.
She walked into the kitchen area downstairs and saw her mom organizing the food that she had on the counter and smiled.
"Hi Mama." Catherine greeted her mother with a smile.
"Hi baby. Did you sleep good?" Bless asked her baby girl when she saw her still in her footie pajamas.
"I did mama." The little girl told her mom.
"Good. Lunch is almost ready so I'm just getting stuff together and before your Papa, Daddy, and Uncle Stephen get back from their workout." Bless mentioned what she was doing before lunch was ready.
"Mmmmmm…. that smells so good mama." The little girl smiled when she smelt the aroma of the food wafting around the kitchen.
"Awww thank you baby. I appreciate that." Bless mentioned her daughter's compliment.
"Sounds good mama. I'm gonna go wash my hands quickly." The little girl let her know that she was gonna be ready to eat soon as soon as she finished washing her hands in the bathroom.
"Great idea baby." Bless nodded watching the pig tailed little darling watching her leave while she went to go set the table.
Meanwhile the guys finished their workouts and Drew was the first to walk in and greet his wife hello.
"Hey sweets." Drew greeted his wife walking over to her and pecked her on the lips.
"Mmmm..hey hon." She chirped to her hubby as she broke the kiss.
"Say, something smells good in here." Drew mentioned when he smelled the food when he walked in the kitchen.
"Lunch will be ready soon so make sure you and the boys get cleaned up before it's time to eat."
Drew nodded as he went to get cleaned up while walking back to e gym to let the boys to do the same.
After everyone cleaned up, lunch was on the table and ready to eat.
"Thank you for inviting us over for lunch lass. You know you didn't have to go through all this trouble." Stephen mentioned with a warm smile towards Bless.
"It's no problem. I thought while you and Stu were around I'd thought you guys would want to eat lunch after a long workout."
"You're a darling, Bless. Drew is so lucky." The redheaded Irishman thought she was a sweetheart to have him and Stu over since Stu too was visiting Catherine.
"Aye, he sure is." Stu chimed in from his seat raising his water glass to the group.
Meanwhile while the grown ups were eating, Drew heard Isabella on the monitor.
"Baby, do you want me to get princess?" Drew asked his wife turning to her.
"If you could sweetie. Thank you and can you check on Alex to make sure the little tyke is up as well?" Bless asked her hubby to check on their baby boy.
"I can do that. I'll be right back."
Drew got up from his seat to go tend to their baby girl and check on Alex while Bless was also helping to feed Catherine who sat beside her.
"Hi mommy. Looks whose up." Drew chuckled while carrying the baby in his arms while Alex was beside him and walked over to his mom to hug and kiss her.
"There's my baby. Hi sweetie." Bless smiled at her baby girl who was in Drew's arms as he walked over to her so she could give their daughter a kiss hello.
"Hey guys. Have a good nap?" Stephen smiled at the two little sweet kids who were up and about.
"I did Uncle Ste. I grow up to be a big boy." The two year old boy told his favorite uncle.
"Yeah you are little lad." The Irish man agreed with the little toddler ruffling his hair.
"I see where princess gets her good looks from." Stu smiled at Isabella who was pretty much Bless' twin.
"She is my little mini me, right munchkin?" Bless cooed at Isabella who giggled joyfully.
"Mama…." Isabella babbled patting her mom's cheeks together.
"I love you." Bless told her daughter kissing her nose.
The guys smiled how sweet the interaction between mother and daughter was.
"Let's get you situated sweetie." Bless rose from her chair with the baby in her arms to sit her next to her in her high chair.
"Hey Bless, is there a convenient time where we could set an appointment for the dna testing center for Catherine and I?" The Brit was curious to know when Bless could set them up to find out whether Catherine was his biologically.
"I could set it up on Wednesday afternoon if you're not busy by the time with anything or have to be out on the road." Bless mentioned that she could pencil in Stu and Catherine for the appointment at the DNA center.
Stu nodded from where he was seated. At least he felt comfortable talking things over and make sure Catherine was set for life as well just incase if she ended up being his.
"Finding out whether Cattie is yours or not Shtu?" Ste was curious turning to his best bud knowing he wanted to know the truth about his best friend and adopted future niece.
"Pretty much. If she is mine, I'm willing to pay any child support that she would need for the future, get to know her real mother, and get to see her at any chance when I'm not busy on the road unless Drew and Bless bring the kids with them on the road." Stu mentioned to his best friend.
Drew then turned to meet his best friend's gaze. "No worries Shtu. Bless and I will make sure we have everything settled to make sure Cat is in good hands. You have every right to know if she's yours or not." The Scot reassured his bestfriend.
"Thanks dude. That means a lot bro." Stu was grateful to have a best friend like Drew that had his back including Stephen who were brothers to him.
"Drew is right, Stu. We'll do everything we can to make sure to find out whether you fathered I Catherine. She could be your flesh and blood and you deserve to get to know her and watch her grow up even though you never had a chance when she was still an infant and you still have your chance." Bless had to chime in with the love of her life to reassure the Brit that she would do everything in her power to reunite her child and Stu.
Stu smiled. "Thank you love. You have no idea how apprehensive I am and I'm glad to know Cat will be in good hands with everything. You treat her like family when I didn't have the means to after the love of my life left this earth."
"I love that little girl with everything that I have Stu and she means the world to Drew and I and I'm sure she means everything to you too including everyone backstage who always took the time to treat her as your own too when Drew and I were always busy, and you got the chance to see your own baby grow up in front of you."
"Is it okay to call Uncle Stu, daddy, mama?" Catherine asked her mom if it was okay to call Stu her daddy.
"Of course it is pumpkin. He may be your real daddy after all and if you feel comfortable to do so." Bless turned to her daughter.
"Love, I would love to have the honor of you calling me daddy or whatever you feel comfortable with. You don't have to be afraid to ask okay." The big British man told her across from her reaching out to touch her hand.
"Okay." Catherine nodded.
After the family talked things over, Drew and the guys spent time with him, Bless, and the kids for movie night and just to bond.
"Good boy Alex. You dressed up by yourself little dude." Drew noticed his son dressed up in his Ninja turtle pj's.
"I did dada. I'm a big boy." Alex felt proud of himself that he was able to dress himself up in his favorite pajamas his mom had bought him.
"Yeah you are little man. I'm proud of you." Drew smiled ruffling his son's hair and squeezed him gently.
"Nice pj's there little lad. Who picked it out?" The Irish man asked the little boy from the couch where he sat.
"Mama picked it out." The small toddler told the redhead.
Stephen smiled at his adopted nephew who looked like Bless and Drew's mini me.
"Your mom did an amazing job then." Stephen smiled at his nephew's choice of clothes for the evening.
"Yeah she did, right mama?" Alex turned to his mom who was bringing some snacks in as Drew stood up to help her with some stuff while Stu was putting in the movie.
"Yup I guess so huh bud?" Bless giggled putting some of the snacks down on the table with Drew's help.
"Mommy, do you like this color?" Catherine asked approaching the group with her cute unicorn pajamas on.
Bless nodded. "Of course baby, you look so pretty." The young mom mentioned when she saw her big girl all dressed up in her comfortable pj's she picked out and had her hair down in wavy curls almost similar to Stu's naturally curly hair.
"Thank you mama." Catherine smiled at her mom as she sat down next to Drew who had finished putting the snacks and drinks down and Drew squeezed her close and kissed her head.
Bless smiled at her youngest Isabella who was in her playpen playing quietly with her toys while sucking on her binky.
"After Bless finished putting the rest of the snacks on the table, she had Catherine resting her head on her lap while Drew had Alex resting nestled next to him.
"Dada, cars go vroom vroom…" Alex giggled from his position as they were watching the Fast and Furious movie series.
The Scot chuckled softly and let out a belly laugh. "Yeah I guess they do huh buddy?" Drew chimed in with his son while watching the movie seeing him so engrossed with the movie and all the cars in the scene that were driving fast.
Stu and Stephen couldn't help but chuckle at the little boy who had starry wide eyes as he was so into the film. He was so much like his dad who was so in awe. The little boy certainly was a ball of energy just like the Scot.
"Thank you for the movie Uncle Stu. This is so cool." Alex had to tell his favorite Uncle Stu who brought a box of his favorite movies to watch with the guys.
"No problem little guy. Any time." Stu smiled at his adopted nephew who was like family to him.
"Those cars are so fast…." Catherine mentioned as her eyes were glued to the screen.
Drew nodded to his oldest. "Yeah they are princess." Drew had to agree with his baby girl with a chuckle as the engines of all the cool cars roared to life in the movie as they dodged each other weaving in and out of the road lanes.
During the movie, the kids were already asleep on their parents laps as each of them smiled at their slumbering children. Bless then looked over to see Isabella's eyes were fighting sleep on top of her teddy bear in her playpen.
"Hon, can you hold on to Catherine while I go get the baby's bottle that way I can put her down to bed?" Bless asked her hubby if he could watch Cat as she placed her next to him that way she could lay comfortably.
Drew nodded. "Sure baby, I got her." Drew pulled their oldest close to him as Bless stood up that way she could put their youngest down to bed.
Bless walked to the kitchen to warm up a bottle for her baby girl and once she was done with it, she walked over to the playpen to get Isabella gathered into her arms to feed her.
"There we go sweetie." Bless smiled as the young infant sucked on the nipple to drink her milk.
She smiled at the boys that were so engrossed with the movie and they were laughing at some of the scenes that they were enjoying watching.
"Is that good sweetie?" Bless asked her youngest as she sat down with the baby in her arms and Catherine leaned close to her mom.
"Yeah it is huh baby?" The young mom smiled as her daughter smiled from around her bottle.
"Little lass, aren't you sleepy yet love?" Drew asked eyeing his little girl who was in his wife's arms.
"I think she's finally falling asleep." Bless noticed their baby girl opening and closing her eyes fighting sleep while drinking the remains of her milk from her bottle.
As soon as Isabella was asleep, Bless smiled getting up carefully not to wake the precious infant up and turned to notice Stephen was leaning on his elbow on his left side snoozing away as well. She guessed the Irish wrestler had fallen asleep some time during the movie.
Stu followed suit right after him as he laid still on the couch on his side facing them on the right side of the couch. She giggled softly before going up to the nursery to bring the infant up to her bedroom.
Drew chuckled softly at his little boy who was fast asleep on his lap and Catherine was leaning against his arm nestled into his warmth softly snoring. He kissed both his kids maneuvering himself carefully to get each of the kids into his arms to bring them into their rooms.
Once all the kids were tucked into bed, Drew kissed each of them goodnight then left their rooms to go back downstairs to turn off the tv. Bless then made her way down with a throw blanket as soon as she finished tucking in Isabella and placed it on both sleeping men and kissed them on top of the head as she let them rest.
She walked over to the lamp and dimmed it low that way they'd be able to see if any of them got up in the middle of the night. Drew smiled at his wife following her lead making their way to their room to retire for the night.
"Good night swee'ie, I love you." The Scot told his wife as he pulled her close and kissed her head.
"I love you too." Bless smiled softly and grabbed his hand to his kiss his palm before the sweet couple fell into a peaceful slumber.
During the middle of the night, Alex woke up when he started to have a nightmare and his eyes filled with tears. The little boy sniffled softly before getting up from bed with his baby blanket to make his way to his parents bedroom.
The two year old then toddled close to his mommy.
"Mama…."Alex whimpered.
The little boy wiped tears with the back of hand.
A few minutes later, Bless woke up to feel shaking on the side of her bed when she saw Alex awake.
She slowly opened her eyes and regained her vision to see her baby whimpering.
"Baby. What's wrong?" Bless asked sleepily gazing at the small boy as she stroked his hair.
"I had a bad dream mommy, can I stay with you and daddy tonight?" He asked her.
"Sure you can sweetheart." She then pulled the covers up before scooting over a little without trying to wake her slumbering husband who had slowly awoken to movement on the bed.
"Mmmm….love, everything okay?" The Scot asked his wife in a sleepy tone without opening his eyes but felt her shift next to him.
"Alex had a bad dream. I got him hon." She softly told Drew reassuring everything was fine and Alex just had a bad dream.
"Scoot him over here baby and put him in the middle of us that way he won't fall over your side just in case he rolls over." Drew replied in his still sleepy tone and to place Alex in the middle with them that way he'd feel safe and secure.
"Okay." Bless smiled softly.
"Sweetie, come here." She sat up carefully to carry Alex to place him in the middle of the bed with her and Drew who let Alex snuggle between him and Bless.
"It's okay buddy, daddy and mommy got you, you're safe now." Drew mumbled to their son opening one eye slowly to gaze at his son's laying frame before opening the other slowly and leaned in to kiss his son on the head whenever he had nightmares before pulling up the blankets over them.
"Shhhhh…. you're okay little man…"Drew reached over to console his still sniffling son as Bless too turned over to rub Alex's hair.
"It's okay baby, you're okay. Daddy and I are here." Bless spoke softly to Alex
"Mhiieee…." Alex whimpered softly as he reached for her hand to hold it.
"I know sweetie. Try and go back to sleep."Bless softly cooed to her toddler son before leaning in to kiss his forehead watching him drift in and out of sleep.
As soon as the couple got their son to sleep, they both smiled at each other and fell into a deep slumber.
