Chapter 38: Feast(Part 2)(Keith's POV)
Keith dodges an attack from the Sentimonster and lands neatly on his feat. This gets us nowhere. It just keeps attacking one of us the moment we think enough hits from Ryuko's lightning dragon form.
"Guys, we need a plan!" He yells.
"We need to find where the amok and the akuma is hiding! Then we can think of a way to beat it!" Chat yells.
"But there's nothing on it! So unless you suggest some of us go inside to find if whatever is holding its akuma and feather are in there then we aren't going to beat this thing!"
Because then they can't destroy it and make sure it doesn't come back. But what's weird is that Master Fu said it was his. But there's no time to worry about that now or the note he left when he took the pangea bracelet away or what he saw.
"Good idea, why didn't I think of that before?! Okay new plan me and Rouge will go into the beast and see if we can find Master Fu's staff. That's where the akuma and amok should be."
Keith nods, not a bad plan.
Zoe's POV
Did Chat really just suggest going into the belly of the beast? And with her out of all their teammates. Sure her illusions can come in handy, but she doesn't use them as often as the others do with their powers(mainly Ryuko, Chat and Honeybee).
"You ready Rouge?"
"Ready as I'll ever be to go into the belly of that thing."
Chat nods, unafflicted with her comment.
The sentimonster sticks his tongue out and instead of dodging the two let the tongue take them inside the sentimonster.
A bright purple room greets them with objects in purple bubbles floating all around them. She then notices an old man of Asian descent looking fit for his age. He wears robes that look like they come from a time before Asia was modernised. The trim is a gold colour while the rest is a blinding white. Near his chest where his heart is, is a symbol like the one Alya covered on her Noirblog.
He must be a Guardian. His white hair is in the traditional men styling of what Asian's styled their back in the day. But he doesn't have a moustache.
"Who are you? Are you one of the Seven Guardians?"
The man's blue eyes look surprised at Chat's question.
"Yes, I am. How do you know and why do you and she have the Black Cat and Fox miraculous?"
"Because Master Fu gave us them to defeat Hawkmoth and we're here to destroy the Sentimonster."
"How much time has passed on the outside?"
"Ummm. Well it's the year 2052, if that's what you're asking."
"That can't be. That much time cannot have passed while me and my brethren have stayed in this accused Sentibeing."
Chat and her share a look, "A Sentibeing, don't you mean sentimonster?" Chat asks to clarify.
"No Sentibeing. Though if the Peacock miraculous is being used for evil we do call what it makes Sentimonsters… And if you are using that term…. What happened after I told my apprentice to escape with the Asian Miracle box?"
Zoe steps in, "We can tell you everything later. Right now we have a staff to find. Can you show us where it might be?"
"Sure. But shouldn't you have a Ladybug hero to assist with this?"
"That's complicated," Zoe answers for Chat Noir, knowing now is not the time to dig up the past about Chat's former partner.
"I see. So you're without one. Then I assume that means you're going to cataclysm the akuma and the amok. Follow me,"
Though Zoe can tell he wants to know more about how things led to all this. They reach the staff and six other men, with gold trim white robes each having a different style that relates to some different culture and white hair also styled differently.
"Li Jie, who are these two? And what do they want? And why do they both wear a miraculous from the Asian Miracle Box" speaks one of the six men.
"They are French. And they have come to destroy this Sentimonster to set us and your Miracle Boxes free, Aatmavash."
The one who spoke speaks again, but this time in French, "Li. Are you sure? This has been our prison for who knows how long. How can it simply be destroyed if your apprentice didn't even try?"
"Master Fu was just scared," Chat speaks before Li can interrupt, "But we are here now. All I need is to break the staff and Cataclysm the amok and the akuma and then we are freed from the Sentimonster. And then Master Fu and us can tell you everything that's happened since your, ah, imprisonment."
"Alright then. Here is the staff," Aatmavash says, pushing a purple bubble to them. It holds a staff with a blue ball on top.
Zoe reaches for it, but then it gets separated into different bubbles.
"We tried that to get to our Miracle boxes, but it seems as if the Sentimonster once it consumes an item it makes it stay forever inside of itself never satiating its hunger." Li Jie says to them.
Chat Noir sighs, "Then I'll just have to cataclysm the bubble and then cataclysm the akuma and amok once I feed Plagg."
"Hold on. Before we do that I need to detransform and show you my true identity," when Chat gives a confused look, Zoe continues, "It's only fair that if my leader shows his true self to me I get to show my true self."
"But not here. You can show me later, our first priority is stopping this sentimonster. Cataclysm!"
The bubble and the staff break, revealing a dark blue feather and a purple butterfly.
"Plagg claws in."
Once the green glow disappears, her mouth opens in shock. Adrien Agreste, the Adrien Agreste, is Chat Noir. And here she thought life couldn't get anymore weird. But nope. The famous model, who recently retired for unknown reasons, is Chat Noir. Chat Noir!
And she's in his class too. Although that does make sense since Madame Mendeleiev did draw something akin to the black cat kwami when she got akumatized. And the footage was shot from the cameras in her room, so yeah. She should have connected the dots that Chat Noir was someone in Francois Dupont High School.
She watches as he feeds his kwami a piece of Camembert cheese. It does not smell appealing at all. But her kwami likes grapes, so, moot point.
Then after a few minutes Adrien transforms again and destroys the amok and akuma causing the walls to crack and tremble and then disappear. All of them fall to the ground and Zoe groans. Was not expecting that.
She stands up and brushes off any dirt she may have gotten due to falling on the ground. Then she notices that everyone is standing in shock due to the seven men. Whelp this should be interesting.
