Erin's pov; it's been about two weeks since all of our friends have their babies. I still can't believe they all went into labor on the same day, and have their babies, but it worked out perfectly. the day before all of them have their babies Hank came to me about maybe me taking over the unit I was a little shocked at first so I've been thinking about it and talking it over Richie. I think I have made a decision me and Jay also decided that we want to have another kid here soon so today actually right now I'm on my way to my doctors to maybe get my birth control out once I get there I'll check in and wait to be called back about 10 minutes later and called back and now I am waiting on my doctor to show up about five minutes later.
ED= hey Erin it's nice to see you again
E= yeah, same here
ED= so you made this appointment May I ask why you did
E= yes of course you can't so for the last couple months. I've been thinking about having another baby.
ED= oh you have
E= yes especially since three and my friends and my sister-in-law we're all pregnant at the same time
ED= you felt left out
E= kind of well about two weeks ago. All of those ladies have their babies and it made me have some baby fever in so I talked to Jay about it and we both agree that it is time to have another.
ED= so I'm guessing you need your birth control out so you can have another baby anytime soon
E= yes I do
ED= all right that will be super easy. Let me get my things and we will get it done real quick.
E= all right
The doctor gets everything she needs within 20 minutes. My birth control is out and I'm on my way. When I leave the doctors I text Jay to meet me outside when I get to the district. He said he will I drive to the district and arrive within 20 minutes.
J= hey there pretty lady
E= hey sexy man
J= so how did the appointment go?
E= it went well no more birth control. She said we can try as soon as possible if we want.
J= oh wow I can't wait
E= oh yeah, same
J= so are you going to tell Hank the good news about you deciding on taking him up on his offer of having you take over the unit
E= yeah, I think I will. I wonder how the team will react to the news of me being in charge of the unit now
J= I think they might be shocked, but they will be so happy for you
E= let's hope so
J= are you ready to go in
E= yeah, I am let's go
J= okay ( heads upstairs)
E= ( knocking) Hey Hank, you got a second
HV= yeah sure I do please come in, so what's up?
E= so you know how about three weeks ago you told me you are retiring and you want me to take over the unit once you leave
HV= oh yeah, so I'm guessing you talked it over with Jay and you have finally made a decision
E= oh yeah I have in my answer is yes I will take over the unit
HV= wow I'm happy you made that decision
J= it will be a huge change
HV= oh yeah
E= so what do I have to do to be able to take over the unit from you?
HV= well first of all, you have to become a sergeant first and the next test day, for being a sergeant is in the next three months, so you will need to take that
E= wow that's crazy. I guess I better get to studying because that's a short time frame before the test.
J= well I'm here to help you study for the test babe
HV= I'll give you all the stuff you need and besides you will have enough time to prepare for the test
E= why thanks Hank
HV= you're welcome so it's been a while since I've seen my grandkids how have they been?
J= they have been great just super busy with school and activities
E= maybe tonight if you want they all can come over and sleep over
HV= I would love that
J= maybe since we will be over in that area we can check on the house and see how the progress is going
E= oh yeah, we could
HV= oh yeah, how is your house going
J= it's going pretty great
E= but it seems like it's going by super slow sometimes
HV= I bet when me and Camilla built our house at seem like it was taking forever, but in the end it was all worth it
J= that's good
E= so are we going to tell the team about the changes yet?
HV= no I don't think we should tell them until you pass the test
E= well let's hope I pass it on the very first time
J= oh, you will babe no doubt about
HV= I'm with jay , Erin you will pass the test on the first time, because you are a very smart cop
E= OK thanks guys

Me and Jay go out to the ball pen to work on the case and some paperwork. Luckily for us we get the work done pretty early so me and Jay head home.
J= hey kids we are home
EG= yes you're home daddy miss you so much
JR= mom guess what
E= hey kids and what's up Jaxson
JR= I got a gold star on my math test
J= way to go buddy
E= wow I'm so proud of you buddy
CN= mom can we go and visit grandpa Hank very soon I miss him very much
J= well it's funny you say that
E= oh yeah
PJ= why is that Dad
E= well how would you guys like to go over to grandpa Hanks house tonight and have a sleepover
CN= wait really
J= oh yeah it's Friday so I don't see why not who all wants to have a sleepover at grandpa Hanks house
PJ= oh I would
CN= yes I would
JR= yes can I go see grandpa already
JW= yes, I would love to
E= that's great
J= what about you ember would you like to go to grandpas Hanks house for a sleepover?
EG= umm I love grandpa Hank, but can I maybe sleep over at violets house instead?
E= well you could baby girl, but you do remember they just had Aspen and Jensen
EG= yeah, I know but I really want to sleep over at their house to spend time with Violet
E= what should we do?
J= maybe we should just text Kevin Vanessa see if they are OK with her coming over if not, then she will just have to see if us tonight
E= all right I will go to that
J= all right then everyone else let's go get a bag packed for grandpa Hanks house
PJ=all right dad
They all go and get their bags ready for Hanks house while I decide to just call Vanessa to see if it's possible for a little sleep over at their house
VR= hey Erin
E= hey Vanessa, so how is it been with the twins?
VR= not too bad they sleep a little bit more than we expected but we are still tired
E= I bet you guys are
VR= oh yeah, twin life is harder than only having one baby
E= oh yes it is so I'm calling you for a question I wanted to ask you
VR= all right what's up?
E= so while we were at work, he mentioned how he hasn't seen the kids in a while so we decided that the kids should have a sleepover at his house then when we talked it over with the kids, they all loved it but ember didn't want to go to his house she wanted to come and see Violet and sleep over at your guys's house but since you guys just had a newborns I wasn't sure if you guys would love to have another kid in the house
VR= oh, no, of course not ember is always welcome. We are in a good routine right now that it won't be too hard to have one more kid here besides violet, would love to have a sleepover with her best friend.
E= OK that's great to hear ember will be so happy to hear that she can come over me and Jay should be dropping her off here in the next hour or so
VR= all right we will get ready for her. Violet will be so happy to see her.
E= all right ( hangs up)
J= so what did Vanessa say?
E= she is totally fine with having ember spending the night
J= oh okay cool hey ember guess what?
EG= what daddy
E= I just talked to Vanessa and she said that you can come sleep over at her house
EG= wait really I'm so excited
J= oh yeah, I can tell
E= do you guys got all your stuff ready?
All= yes we do
We all load up the car and decide to drop off at his house first, then head over to drop off Ember at Kevin and Vanessa's house last
KA= there is my girl
EG= uncle Kevin ( runs to him)
E= hey Kevin, thanks again for letting her sleep over especially with having newborn twins
KA= it's no problem hey ember why don't you go inside violet is already waiting for you
EG= all right uncle Kevin
J= so Kevin, how has it been with twins?
KA= it's been crazy
E= I bet, so have you guys took in the twins out besides going to just doctors appointment yet?
KA= yeah we did but we realize that we can't fit all of us in one car so we had to take two cars each time we have to go out somewhere
J= oh man that sucks
VR= hey Kevin, I need help
KA= well that's my cue to go so see you guys in the morning
E=all right you too?
EG= bye mom and dad.
We leave ember with Kevin and Vanessa then we go check out how our house is coming along
J= looks like Landon is still here
E= oh yeah ( pulls up and gets up)
LD= hey guys, how are you
J= we are good
LD= so what are you guys doing here? Don't tell me you guys are checking in on me.
E= well kind of, but we just dropped our kids at the sleepover. They have
J= so we decided to come look at the house and so how is it coming along
E= and since you're here, do you have any update on how soon this house will be done where we can move in
LD= well with the work we did today I can so you guys can move in here in about a month if not two months
J= wow really
E= I guess it's finally time to start packing up our House
LD= oh yeah, well I have to get going before my wife is mad at me for not coming home early
J= completely understandable go Ahead
E= we will catch up later
LD= all right see you guys ( he leaves)
E= well we get to move in this house soon
J= I know I can't wait
E= me either so now that we are kid free for the night what are we going to do
J= well I got so many ideas that we can do
E= oh yeah, maybe we can play Scrabble all night and everywhere since no kids are at home
J= it's a good idea but I'll add to your idea to make it better
E= oh yeah, what do you got in mind?
J= so since our house is close to being done, why don't we just stay here like a camp out since we don't have kids with us
E= that sounds like fun, but isn't that illegal to do Jay
J= I don't think so and besides if a call comes, we can say hey, we are cops too, so it won't matter that much
E= OK we could do it but what are we going to sleep on or cover up with since it's cold out
J= well how about we go to the store nearby and get some sleeping bags, pillows and blankets to sleep with
E= all right also, we need food because I'm hungry
J= we could do that
E= all right let's go
We go to a local Walmart get the stuff we need and go grab some food to eat and head back to our new house
J= wow we now have officially a our first meal in our new house
E= oh yeah, and it was great
J= oh yes, it was
E= I wonder how the kids are doing at Hanks house
J= I think they are doing great. I'm more worried about ember at Kevin and Vanessa's house
E= oh yeah, I hope she is doing good and not causing trouble since they already have a crazy household with newborn twins
J= but luckily we have twins so she knows what to expect when two babies are crying
E= oh yeah also, did you hear Kevin say when they go out together they have to bring two cars with them
J= oh yeah, I heard
E= well maybe they don't have the money to get a new car right now
J= yeah maybe
E= OK so ever since he said that I was thinking about something
J= oh, you have
E= so you know how we got our car when she found out we were pregnant with the boys
J= Yeah I do I'm so glad we did
E= oh yeah, same but now that the kids are getting older, I'm thinking our kid is getting a little small for all of us
J= oh yeah, it is
E= and besides since we want another baby, maybe we could buy another car and then give Kevin Vanessa our car so they have enough room to only use one car whenever they go out what do you think
J= you know that sounds like a good idea. I think they will get good use out of it like we did.
E= oh, yeah, they will
J= so how soon can we play Scrabble so we can have another little girl that looks like you
E= oh my God you are so funny babe
J= why I've been thinking about taking your clothes off and seeing what's underneath your clothes ever since you came back from the doctors
E= who says I have anything underneath
Without saying another word, we go straight into playing Scrabble for a couple hours and then fall asleep and enjoy our new house about a week later we are at work in the middle of working a case
HV= OK does anyone have anything
KA= Chris Duffy just told my CI his supplier wants to set up a big buy
AR= please tell me we have a location for the buy
GM= yes West in garage at 2 PM
HV= great so we need to go
KA= yes we do
HV= OK I want Adam and Haley in a van nearby the garage
HU= you got it
AR= all right
HV= Kenny, and Dante I want you guys a block over to the right of the garage
DT= we can do that
HV= Kevin and Antonio, you be undercover as construction workers nearby
KA= all right let's do this
E= OK Hank what about me and Jay? Where do you want us?
HV= I want you guys in the car with me down the street
J= all right
We all head out to the location. Start waiting for something to happen. About 30 minutes later inside the van
AR= I'm going to get out real fast to stretch my legs
HU= all right be safe
AR= Will do
HV= Kevin how much longer until they finally show up
KA= I don't know they said they'd be here at 2 PM on the dot
J= I guess you guys don't know how to tell time since he is 30 minutes
HV= well if he isn't here in the next 30 minutes, we are arresting him
Before anyone can say anything a lot of gun Fire started going off within five minutes. We were able to take down all the shooters
HV= is everyone good
AD= me and Kevin are good
DT= I'm good
KR= yeah, same here
KA= what about you boss?
HV= me , Erin and jay are good
AD= Adam how are you and Haley
AR= I am good. I left the van for a second so I am not with Hailey
E= hey Haley, are you OK?
J= Haley report
AR= ( opens up) hey Haley are you ... ( see her ) oh my God Haley answer me
HV= Adam is Haley OK?
AR= no Sergeant she isn't. She got shot twice. She isn't waking up.
HV= all right we are coming to you Erin call this in
E= 10, 110 one officers down. Please send an ambulance to our location ASAP.

KA= is she breathing Adam
AR= I don't know
E= here let me check ( check pulse ) OK there is a pulse but it's very weak
DT= the ambulance is here
GD= what do we got?
AR= gabby please help me save my wife
AD= gabby she got shot twice her pulse is there, but it's very weak
SB= all right thanks
Brett and Gabby start working on Haley and then load her up into the ambulance and head to med. We all get into our cars and follow them there we all get there and wait on the news about two hours later.
AR= where are they at? I want to know what's going on with my wife
J= it will be OK they are working on her. They are the best at what they do.
KA= how about I have Vanessa bring the kids here would you like that Adam
AR= yes I would OK that would be great
KA= all right I'll go call her
E= ( to jay ) I feel like I want to go see the kids right now but
J= but you are also wanting to be here for Adam. I get it babe it's hard to decide what to do in the situation here come here. ( hugs her)
E= thank God I can feel you in my arms to know that you are safe
J= you have no idea babe ( kiss her forehead)
We continue doing on the news for the next 45 minutes. The kids finally show up about 30 more minutes later.
HF= daddy where is mommy
AR= well Harlow baby mommy's getting worked on by some doctors
ASR= will she be OK
AR= I believe she will Ashton
J= look here is my brother and Natalie Hey will and Natalie what's up
WH= hey guys hey Adam can maybe we talked to you in private
AR= wait why
NM= how about we just had Maggie take the kids to go play somewhere else so we can talk to you about something
WH= yeah that works he Maggie can you bring the kids somewhere to color a picture?
ML= all right hey kids do you want to go color a picture
HF= yeah sure
E= go to color a picture for mommy she would really love that
ASR= all right let's go ( they leave)
AR= so will how is my wife?
WH= well that's why we are here
NM= so we got an update from Connor
AR= OK did the surgery went well?
WH= well I'm sorry to say this, but Adam haley didn't make it off the table
NM= we are so sorry for your loss
AR= wait what are you saying that Haley died?
WH= yes we are
AR= no way this can't be happening ( stars to cry )
Over the next 10 minutes, everyone processes the news that will and Natalie just told Adam and everyone else then we all decided to leave Adam to be with his kids and we all needed to all go hug our own kids for the next week. Hang decided we all need to take the week off to grieve now it's the day of Haley's funeral.
J= come on Erin we need to get up
E= I don't really want to get up
J= I really don't blame you there but we need to get up so we can be there for Adam and the kids
E= I know I wish the day could have happened already or even never at all.
J= oh, I know how you feel me too babe
E= so has the kids woken up yet?
J= not that I can tell
E= well we probably should get up and maybe make some breakfast so when they get up it will be ready
J= yeah, we should let's go
We both get up and get started on making breakfast. About 10 minutes later the kids start waking up.

CN= good morning mom and dad
J/J= good morning mommy
E= good morning kids
J= how did you sleep?
PJ= pretty good
CN= same
E= are you guys ready to eat?
JR= yes I am
JW= I'm starving

We all sit down and eat your breakfast. About an hour later we are done eating Jake it's the kitchen cleaned up while I go jump in the shower, then get myself dressed and then he gets in the shower after me and now it's time for us to leave for the funeral.
PJ= where are you going? Mom and dad
J= well buddy me and mommy are going to aunt Haley's funeral to say goodbye to her
E= and you guys are going to stay with the nanny today while we go to the funeral
CN= why can't we come with you?
E= well it's going to be very sad there
J= it's no place for you guys
EG= but daddy we are sad too
PJ= we want to say goodbye to Aunt haley too
JW= yeah, we do
E= what do you think we should do?
J= well I think we should bring them so they can say goodbye to their aunt Haley
E= oh my kids let's go get your address so we can leave
JR= okay mom
I take the kids to get dressed, and we all leave in about 30 minutes then we arrive to the funeral home in about 20 minutes
J= there is Adam let's go say hello
E= hey Adam
AR= hey guys thanks for coming
J= it's no problem
E= hope you don't mind us bringing the kids with us
AR= of course not hey kids
PJ= hey uncle Adam I'm so sorry about aunt Haley
CN= same here
AR= why thanks guys can I have a hug
JR= yes you can ( they all hug)
J= if you ever need us to take the kids so you can have a little time to yourself let's us know we will take the kids
E-= it's not like two more kids will hurt
AR= ( laughs) no it won't but thanks for offering anyways
J= your welcome all right let's let's head inside
CN= all right dad

J= all right
VR= hey guys how are we

E= hey I'm glad I saw you guys

E= well when we drop ember off at her sleepover a couple weeks ago Kevin mentioned about your car issues with all the kids
VR= oh yeah he did

J= well we talked about it and we decide that we want to give you guys our car
VR= wait no way you don't have to
E= it's no big deal besides nobody's knows this but we are trying for another baby so we need a bigger car
KA= wow congrats

The funeral gets started about 30 minutes later , all the kids were very well behave during the service , after the funeral we went back to Adam place to hang our for a while then headed home
