It's bitter sweet to hear you laugh

Your phone is ringin' I don't wanna ask

… If you go now I'll understand

If you stay, hey, I've gotta plan

… You wanna make a memory?

You wanna steal a piece of time?

The right person, the wrong time.

It seemed to be their life story.

The universe pushing them together to only torture them by separating them.

That is why they were not surprised to have found each other in the convention they were both obligated to attend. After hours of boring lectures and meaningless meet ups with people they'll probably forget 10 min after ending the conversation, they decided to get together for a drink.

They spent most of the time catching up, reminiscing and being comforted by each other's presence in comfortable silence.

'I've missed you." He simply declared in a whisper, eyes gazing into hers. His fingers brushing against hers that rested on top of the bar. Michonne softly smiled as she entwined her fingers to his.

Rick's eyes dropped to her lips before moving back to her eyes; he brought his other hand to her jaw before pushing forward, slowly closing the distance between them.

Michonne hand buried in the fabric of his shirt pulling, to only gently push him away mere seconds before their lips met.

"We shouldn't" Michonne whispered, eyes trained downward, as she pressed her forehead against his. Rick let out a deep sigh in response, she raised her gaze, eyes roaming the little surface of his face she could see in such proximity. Rick took another big breath before pulling back.

"You're probably right," He started with a tint of sadness in his tone, "It wouldn't be fair to them." They stayed in silence for a moment, mournfully looking at each other.

"We're always a little bit off" Rick let out sorrowfully, a sad smile playing on his lips. Michonne could only nod her head in agreement. Rick pulled her hand forward and kissed the tips of her fingers as she ran her fingers through his hair with her other hand.

"I should go." She said as she rested her hand to his jaw.

"Just five more minutes." Rick pleaded.

"Ok." She softly agreed.
