Hey guys, I'm very happy that I was able to make a great chapter for you all, really I am. I didn't want to leave you hanging too long though, so as a treat, here's the next chapter.

In here we have Loki and Thor with their own talk, and a lot of family drama to be unyielded with them but we get Loki cuddles afterwards.

I know this is a bit fast but I think we can all agree Loki needs to confront Thor on a lot of things. Now maybe not EVERYTHING, but at least some of it.

I don't own Marvel, if I did then Odin wouldn't have been a lousy father and Loki would've been much happier.

Enjoy!

In the elevator:

"Loki…you don't need to do this." Steve stood beside him as they took the elevator from the observing room towards the area Thor's cell was kept.

"I know, but I can't avoid him forever." No matter how much he wanted to. Loki had butterflies in his stomach, but it didn't matter, Thor was here, this needed to happen.

"Nat is still with him, I don't think we should worry too much."

"No, but if he summons his hammer, then he could still snatch me away. If Kira is safe, that's all that matters."

"I understand." Steve touched his shoulder. "You also want to keep Tony safe too, with his suit he could probably take Thor on but…"

"I don't want it to come to that, not yet." Loki ran a hand over his hair. "My priority is to keep my child and you all safe, but Thor can't know about her or Anthony yet."

"He won't hear it from me, but how do you know he's not aware? I mean he said they knew you were here but…?"

"I don't know, but I'll find out." He wasn't sure how or if they knew of Kira, but if so, then he would keep his baby safe. How much Thor knew he had no clue, but if anything he did know came from the Allfather, then there was likely much hidden still.

'I have to do it, I must.' Tony had argued for five straight minutes against talking with Thor, but time wasn't exactly with them right now and if he knew Thor, which he did, then his brother would get very impatient very quickly and it would go downhill from there.

"Remember Lokes, I'm here with you." The sudden voice of his boyfriend almost made him jump; Loki had an earpiece on, given by Fury so he could hear Tony if he needed someone to calm him down. This chat with Thor could go either way, but he didn't intend to break in front of the blonde fool. "Smile if you heard me babe." He'd almost forgotten the camera in the elevator, silly him.

"Thank you Anthony." Loki gave a smile, and as the elevator came to a stop he took a moment to compose himself before the doors opened.

"You ready?" Steve asked, and Loki took a breath.

"As I'll ever be." He walked through the doors and found himself face to face with the man he once called brother. Loki stared at Thor, and Thor stared back, neither seemed willing to speak first, but Loki kept a cool demeanor while Thor looked agitated. Loki gave Nat and Steve nods, and they stepped back giving the two some room.

"Have you nothing to speak of Loki?" the golden prince glared at him, but Loki didn't flinch.

"What do you want me to say, Odinson?"

"Do I look to be in a gaming mood?"

"When are you ever? I'm surprised the allfather could muster up enough dark energy to send you here, to Midgard. Tell me, have you been to visit that woman yet? Or is this just another silly quest to prove your masculinity?" Thor went close to the glass, placing a balled fist against the clear surface.

"You're still alive, here, when we all thought you dead." Loki's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Did you mourn?" Thor's eyes softened.

"We all did, our father…" Loki stopped him with a finger.

"Your. Father." Here it came. "I'm sure by now he's told you of my true parentage."

"We were raised together, we played and fought together, do you remember none of that?" Loki glared.

"How could I possibly forget? All the years I spent in your shadow, never to be truly respected or taken seriously, before and after you were banished, your little brother, second prince of Asgard, trickster, silvertongue."

"You were loved…"

"By Frigga, but even she denied me the truth. Now that you know it, have you come to kill me?"

"Why would I…?"

"When I am king, I'll hunt the monsters down and slay them all." Loki mocked him, the memory of when Odin showed them the casket in the vault, remembering Thor's words. "Remember that?"

"I was a child; I didn't know better." Green eyes rolled.

"Oh please, you were trying to impress Odin, to prove you could be a king, a bloodthirsty king."

"I learned from my mistakes Loki; can I say the same for you?" Loki's eyes glared so fierce if looks could kill, Thor would be a pile of ash right now.

"The only mistake I made was the hope I kept that one day I could be seen as your equal, however long it would take, if you could accept me as such, I would have done anything you wanted." Thor's hand smashed against the glass.

"If you had been a better warrior than a mage then perhaps you would be, you know sorcery is frowned upon in the battlefield, you never trained hard enough."

"You think magic is easy to learn? Your own hammer has magic that allows it to choose who holds its power, and yet you mock it?"

"Mjolnir is a weapon of battle, spells and chants are not." Loki felt his heart ache, those words still hurt even now.

"You haven't changed a bit, but enough about us, why have you come here?"

"Father, he has ordered me to bring you and tesseract home."

"Oh? So you didn't come here because you missed me, oh how my heart aches now." Dry sarcasm still intact, it only angered the blonde more.

"Of course I missed you! I thought you dead, now I find you're alive and on this realm, so of course I should be the one to come."

"And why pray tell would I want to go back?" Thor's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Why wouldn't you? Asgard is your home."

"Really? It has never felt like home to me, now pick another lie."

"It is no lie, but it's not all. You must also answer for your crimes."

"What crimes have I committed? As I recall everything that happened while I was acting regent was well within my rights."

"You took the throne by tricks." Loki snarled.

"I took the throne because Frigga appointed me regent, while she stayed by her sleeping husband, and while you were banished."

"You let the Jotuns into Asgard, you nearly killed me and our friends."

"That was not my intent, the killing I mean. As for the Jotuns, I only sought to stop your coronation, everything that happened after that was your fault. Or perhaps I do have some fault for not being able to stop you from going to Jotunheim, but you got yourself banished, I didn't force Odin's hand."

"You cost two soldiers their lives when the Jotuns broke into the vault."

"To my regret yes, but again, it was only to stop the coronation nothing more. For the record though, Sif and the warriors three are not my friends, they never have been. They were yours alone, they only tolerated me because you dragged me along those stupid quests."

"You know very well that they tried, you just didn't like them."

"Tried, when was that? When they laughed at me every time I got hurt in training, after Sif nearly broke my ribs? Or how about that time we went on that hunt, when you thought it would be fun to steal a dragon's treasure, and they all called me a wimp merely because I screamed after I got burnt trying to protect us from the fire?"

"It was just to toughen you up; they meant no harm." Loki let out a hollow laugh.

"Well, that's how it's always been isn't it? To belittle and hurt me just to make me stronger? My how honorable we all were then."

"Take care how you speak brother, your honor alone is questionable."

"Possibly, but at least I tried to be honorable, which is more than I can say for you. Now let me make this clear so that even your miniscule brain understands, I will not go back to Asgard with you, not of my own will. I don't know what the allfather wants of me, but I will not be locked up like the stolen relic he sees me as."

"You are not a stolen relic to him! He loves you as his own!" Loki saw red and felt his sanity snap as words poured from his lips.

"No, he doesn't! If he loved me as he did you then he would've been there for me! He would've protected me! Accepted me as I was! Instead, he tried to mold me into an Aesir which I am not! He allowed others to harm me as I grew! He let those dwarves hold me down as they sewed my lips shut when I tried to make up for Sif's hair, and you watched! I tried to right a wrong, and what did I get for it? Pain! Nothing but pain!"

"You wish to talk of pain brother? Do you know how much pain our mother has been in since you fell? How often she weeps in her rooms for you?" Thor growled. "You may hate our father, but can you watch our mother suffer?" Loki stared at him for several seconds, oh that was low, using Frigga's tears against him. Loki rubbed his eyes, trying to wipe away the tears that formed, but he couldn't hold back the laugh, and the laugh that came out made Thor look at him as if he were mad.

"Suffer? You think she's suffered?" Loki started pacing, laughing.

"Loki…" he heard Steve's voice but didn't acknowledge him.

"You think Frigga has suffered Thor? Tell me, did she suffer as she was held down in chains, while monsters ripped her insides apart? Did she suffer as she was tied up and whipped until the flesh on her back was gone? Did she cry out as she was held down and beaten to a bloody mess, did she beg for mercy as her bones were broken? Did she call out to you and father as she was held down and raped repeatedly?!"

"Loki stop!" Natasha ran up to grab at his arms but he yanked away from her.

"Oh, oh I have a better one brother…" he spat the name out with such venom the golden prince took a step back. "Did Frigga ever feel a little of herself die every time her child died in her womb? Did she cry for the babies she lost as the monsters destroyed her, or did she cry, as they took her child's body and crushed it in front of her?! NO! THAT WAS ALL ME! YOU TALK OF PAIN AND SUFFERING THOR? I AM THE ONE WHO HAS SUFFERED! NOT YOU! NOT ODIN! NOT FRIGGA! ME!"

"Lokes…" the nickname snapped him out of his red daze, and Loki jerked around to see Tony standing in the elevator. Loki realized what he'd said and suddenly felt his lunch back up into his mouth and onto the floor. He vomited twice before Steve and Natasha pulled him away, all the while hearing Thor call out to him.

"Loki…what are you talking about what's happened to you? LOKI?!" He kept going forward until the elevator doors shut and he was safely in Anthony's arms. They went back to the observation area, and the sound of Kira's coos made Loki break free to scoop her into his arms. Tony held them both close as Loki's sobs came out, just holding them both close until he calmed down.

"I'm right here Lokes, I'm right here." Tony kept whispering to him, when Loki pulled away from the man's chest his eyes glared angrily at the screen that showed Thor, still shouting for him.

"I hate him…I hate him…" he growled, not realizing that the tension around him started to upset Kira.

"Loki, calm down…" Natasha pointed at the whimpering baby, and Loki's hard face melted into concern. He started gently bouncing Kira and she calmed down as he did.

"Sorry to point out the obvious, but that didn't go how I hoped." Fury kept his eyes on the screen.

"Gee you think?" Tony kept rubbing Loki's back. "Well at least we know more about why he's here."

"We knew he wanted Loki and now the king of Asgard wants the tesseract. Safe to say that cube is staying locked up until we figure this mess out."

"It won't be enough." Loki spoke up after Kira fell asleep. "Thor might not be as patient as the Allfather but, if they're able to repair the Bifrost, he could send others to force me back."

"Others like those friends Thor mentioned?" Loki nodded.

"They will be far more impatient than him, and I…" he took a breath. "I will die before I am forced back there."

"Hey." Tony grabbed him gently by the shoulders and all but forced him to meet his eyes. "We are not going to let anything happen to you, I'm not going to let him take you."

"He's right, we won't." Nat nodded at him.

"You're with us now Loki, and no way in hell is a bunch of golden assholes gonna rip us apart." All eyes fell on Steve. "What?"

"You just cursed." Tony gave a wide grin. "Captain America just cursed!"

"I didn't think he knew how to." Nat laughed.

"I'm surprised at you Steven, and around Kira too." Loki grinned as he 'covered' Kira's ears, the little girl not understanding what everyone was talking about.

"Oh shut up, you've all said worse." They all agreed, and then Loki's eyes fell on the screen to where Thor was still shouting in his cell, and then pacing around.

"What're we going to do about him? If he summons his hammer…"

"His hammer is still back at the tower, but we can handle him no problem." Tony looked at Fury. "Right?" the director gave a nod.

"We can sedate him if need be, turns out when he first came here and Dr. Foster hit him with his car, he went to the hospital and the docs all dosed him good. One needle in his ass and out he went." Loki let out a snort.

"If you insist, but how will you get close enough?" Nat pulled out a small tranquilizer gun.

"Fully loaded with enough sedative to knock out an elephant."

"Very well, I'll stay here but where will he stay?"

"We can keep him at SHIELD headquarters until we figure something out, but don't worry we won't be cruel to him." Fury touched his shoulder.

"I think that's best, he's not staying in the tower."

"We aren't letting him, now…Stark I suggest you take Loki and Kira back to your tower and cool things down while we handle blondie."

"Don't have to tell me." Tony put his arm around Loki's back and led him to the elevator. Kira started nodding off as they walked, but Loki kept quiet. He was shaken by his words to Thor, why did he let it out like that? He didn't want to give Thor more reason to think him weak, why didn't he control his tongue?

'So foolish, now what'll he say?' if Odin or the rest of Asgard found out…Norns' knew he wouldn't live it down.

"Hey." Tony led him into a small jet where a pilot was waiting. "Don't let him get to you, he's an idiot."

"He's persistent."

"He's an idiot."

"He won't give up."

"He's an idiot."

"He won't leave me alone."

"Again, he's an idiot." Loki stared at him as the jet started to take off.

"How many times are you going to say that?"

"As long as it takes to get clear to your head. Your brother is a fool, and he doesn't understand."

"Even if he did, it wouldn't change anything."

"Maybe, but you have me, Romanoff, Rogers, Barton, and Fury, not to mention all of SHIELD at your back. God or no god, he's not infallible."

"Yes but…"

"Hey." Tony put a finger to his lips, and then looked ahead to make sure the pilot wasn't listening in. "Do you doubt me? Do you doubt our friends?" Loki shook his head. "Do you doubt we can protect you and Kira?"

"No, you've already done so much for us."

"Do you trust us?" Loki didn't answer right away, it took him a minute, but despite only being on Midgard for a short time, he did feel he could trust these humans. They'd taken him in, helped him heal after he birthed Kira, gave him a home, a friendship, one would even say…but were they?

"I trust you, Anthony."

"Then that should be enough, right?" Loki nodded.

"It is, I can get stronger too, protect my daughter, and you."

"And I can protect you both, I care about you." Loki felt his face turn pink. "Aww aren't you cute when you blush?" Tony pinched his cheek, and Loki nipped his finger. "Hey!"

"You watch it now." Kira had passed out somewhere along the time the jet took off, and was still out as they landed on the roof of Stark Tower. After they left the jet, Tony led Loki to his rooms and helped him set Kira in her crib, all safe and snug as a bug. Tony had gone to clean up and JARVIS let them know the workers were still repairing the area Thor damaged, but the hammer was left alone. Loki went nowhere near it, he couldn't lift it before so why bother trying?

"Hey Loki…" Loki had taken shelter in his rooms with a good book and hot tea, when Tony came in looking all shower fresh with clean clothes. How much time had passed already? Glancing at the wall clock he saw it had already been over an hour.

"Yes Tony?"

"How about tonight I order us a couple of fish and chip platters, and some of that cheesecake you like?" Loki's mouth watered slightly, Norns he had developed such a big, sweet tooth since being introduced to Midgardian food.

"That sounds wonderful."

"Good, and after we all eat and get Kira settled, we'll watch a movie, your choice."

"Really? And if I wish to watch Hamlet or Romeo and Juliet again?" Tony rolled his eyes.

"Shakespeare is ok." Loki laughed.

"I'll pick an action movie tonight, just don't let me fall asleep on the couch again."

"No promises, but JARVIS will be on standby."

"As always sir." Loki would allow the rest of the evening to take his mind of the impending problem that was his former brother, though as the night would progress, he could not stop thinking of the possible storm that was brewing over their heads.

Holy cow, I got this finished and I almost thought I wouldn't. Hope you guys liked it, and thank you for your support in this, trust me if I could update every week I would do so happily. What'd you guys think of the confrontation between the boys? I didn't want to let too much out but I think if Loki were pushed enough he would let some things slip especially after the trauma he's endured.

Now the question is, is Thor going to let this go? Will he try and get to Loki again? Will he learn? Or be as ignorant as before?

Next chapter we have Jane visit Thor in SHIELD custody, can you imagine how that will go? We also get to see Tony spend some quality time with Kira, little bonding for them.

Comments are much appreciated!

Later!
