"Aura Guardian is gonna let me get started on using the epic power of aura, im gonna be super strong soon, now I'll use this gacha coin too." and with a thought i activated the gacha coin in my inventory

"First a Zelda gear and now a Shovel Knight relic? This gacha thing is awesome!"

as i walk i notice Absol stare at my torso with an odd intensity. "Are you seeing my aura? It should be a little brighter now." Absol glances at my face before returning its gaze to my torso. I guess it must be weird for someones aura to spontaneously get stronger for no reason.

We walked for what felt like a couple hours, i only really noticed when i saw the light start to dim as night set in.

"lets find somewhere safe to rest for the night Absol, its gonna get dark soon, and im kinda hungry after all that walking." Absol gives a short "Sol." and nods in agreement as we veer off into the treeline and find a nice spot under a tree.

I retrieve my sleeping bag from my inventory and lay it on the ground, as i sit i retrieve two burgers as well and offer one to Absol

"Sorry i don't have anything else to eat, but burgers aren't that bad." Absol sniffs the burger before biting down and carrying it to the trunk of the tree before laying down and tearing into it.

We sat in silence as we ate, a couple ideas on what to do next flitted through my head.

"hey Absol, im gonna try and figure out how to sense my aura, so feel free to nap first." Absol seemed to understand, and with that i started to do some (literal) soul searching...

Pov: Absol

As the human sat down Absol thought back to the past day and how wildly her life spiralled away from normalcy. It had started out like any other, waking up and eating some leftover berries, drinking from the river, and heading out to watch over the area.

Then that aggressive bagon showed up again, that bagon had such a desire to fly that it threw itself at every opponent so it could grow, at first it had been amusing; a tiny little dragon fighting things beyond it, but that loses its charm after the hundredth time. And unfortunately for Absol, bagon achieved part of its dream, and during its weekly challenge it actually managed to evolve. The newly dubbed Shelgon went into the almost stereotypical rage that most wild dragons do when they evolve, now instead of fighting a barely combat capable bagon, Absol was trying to break through the incredible defence of Shelgon.

Then out of nowhere, a human of all things showed up with a confusing weapon, it did nothing to shelgons shell. The human called out to Absol and she sprung into action with a Fury Cutter against its hide, sadly it was just as tough as the last 3 or so times she tried that, and Shelgon looked none worse for wear.

It had struck the human with its dragon breath, but surprisingly it didn't fall, it seemed more durable than the usual humans that come through the area, the human called out to retreat, Absol thought it was a curious decision, most humans simply tried harder, or with a different tactic, but Absol saw the decision as a good one and leapt into the underbrush.

Absol stalked the human through the trees as it ran, it was easy for Absol to track as it gave her the distinct sense of a disaster, the kind her species was naturally adept at sensing before they happen, it was curiosity that kept Absol on the humans trail.

After introductions she led the human to a path the humans frequented through the forest, but suddenly the feeling of a disaster spiked from the human, she turned and gazed at the human wondering what had happened in under a minute to make the feeling grow by such a large metric, like a weak tornado turning into a hurricane.

As Absol and the human settled for the night she wondered where the human stored all the objects they seem to summon from nowhere, as Absol prepared for sleep she observed the human once more, he had white skin, paler than most other humans she had seen, and scruffy brown hair the colour of tree bark, and seemed to stand at 4 feet tall.

As Absol drifted to sleep she thought she saw a flicker of blue light shine from his hands...
