Hello there! Welcome my friends to the next chapter of Light Bringer Stories: The Witcher.

I know it's been a while, but I really wanted to do this chapter right. Then it ended up being one of the longest chapters I wrote.

So I hope you enjoy this extra long chapter and now review time.

Lupus: I could possibly, if I find the time.

And now time for the story.

After their short break, in which Lucifer had introduced Geralt to television. The device had mesmerized the witcher, as the Devil showed him some of his favorite movies, but they eventually had to return to the quest, to help Geralt repay his side of the bargain.

The duo where walking through the streets of Oxenfurt heading to the clinic of Geralt's friend, they were just a few houses away.

"Going by how you reacted to the Star Wars." Lucifer said, "Can I take it you liked it?"

"Yeah, I liked it." Geralt said, "Whisky was pretty decent too."

"You know, after all this Gaunter O'Dimm business has been settled, we could hold a movie night." Lucifer said with a smirk, "Invite Yennefer, Triss, Uri, Potato, Dandelion, Priscilla, Vesemir over to mine and Ciri's place and watch a few."

"Yeah, maybe. Okay, we're here." Geralt said as they where now outside of the clinic, "Listen Lucifer, she is a good friend of mine. So while we're there, be nice and polite to her and her assistant."

"When am I not polite?" Lucifer said with a wink before following Geralt inside.

Following Geralt through the clinic and up the wooden stairs, the White Wolf called out to announce there presence. They came out in a living room where he saw a certain female red haired pixiecut sitting which brought a smile to the blonde Devil's face.

"Lucifer, this is." Geralt began to introduce them.

"Shani!" Lucifer interrupted with a happy smile much to Geralt's surprise, "She's a gwent friend."

"Oh hey." Shani said as she stood up, "It's been a while Lucifer."

"Lady Shani, did your guests..." a voice came from the backroom moments before Raphael himself comes walking into the living room. But upon seeing Geralt and Lucifer standing there, the male red head stopped dead in his tracks when his eyes fell on the blonde.

"Lucifer..." he muttered, keeping eye contact as he moved himself between Lucifer and Shani.

"Hello, Raph." Lucifer said with a smirk as he noticed what he did, "Come now. You don't look very happy to see your brother."

"Brother?" Geralt said turning from the blonde to the male red head, "Your one of them?"

"Yeah, I am... Wait." Raphael said, looking between the witcher and his eldest brother, "You actually told him? Lucifer! Mortals aren't suppose to know about divinity! You know Father..."

"I never lie, Raph." Lucifer said annoyed as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, "And since when do I care about what dear old dad wants?"

"Luci, don't disrespect father like that." Raphael implored him.

"But our dad has been disrespecting me before the beginning of time!" Lucifer said, "So it's the pot calling the kettle, wouldn't you agree?"

"What is going on?" Shani said confused.

"Your friend Raphael is Lucifer's younger brother. Meaning he's an Archangel." Geralt explained, "Some of the oldest and most powerful being in the universe."

"I would say the oldest, aside from mom and dad. I believe Lucifer and Michael are at least older than the Primordials... But that doesn't matter right now." Raphael said, "...So your not here to do your... Luciferness?"

"No, Lucifer promised to be a good Devil." Geralt said before turning to Shani, "Have you found anything on the von Everec's?"

"Actually yes. In my third year at Oxenfurt we had to choose an elective." Shani explained as she walked to the bookcase, "My options were 'Pearls of wisdom from the Hierarchs' or 'Famous Redanian Dynasties'." before picking out one of her books

"Well that's bloody messed up choice." Lucifer said, "That's like having to choose between cancer or aids."

"Very elegantly put, Luci." Raphael muttered.

"It says Olgierd had a brother named Vlodimir." Shani read out loud as her green eyes went over the parchment, "He lies in the family crypt, near their manor."

"Alright, now we know where to meet up." Lucifer said clapping his hands, "Thanks a lot, Shani."

"Your welcome." Shani said, closing the book before putting it back, "You know, the crypt's described as quite a work of art. I'd love to see it. I will meet you at the entrance."

Before either of the witcher, Devil or Archangel could respond or protest, the red haired woman had already left them behind and went on ahead.

"Guess we have no choice." Lucifer said with a shrug.

Some time later, near the ancient von Everec crypt, Shani was kneeling down near a patch of flowers to weave a garland. She was so focused on it that the beat of wings on the winds escaped her as well as the sound of boots touching down on the nearby path.

"That's a beautiful wedding garland."

It was only when a voice behind her spoke up that she was brought out of her thoughts.

"Sorry." Uri said holding up her hands as Shani turned around, "Didn't mean to scare you."

"It's alright." Shani said waving it off, "I wasn't paying attention."

"That's good." Uri said relieved, "So wedding garland... Your getting married?"

"No, no. A dear friend's. From the academy." Shani said with a laugh, "I don't even have a significant other."

"Really? I find that hard to believe." Uri said with a smile, "I thought someone as pretty as you would have men tripping over for her."

"O-Oh, thank you." she said with a light blush on her freckled cheeks, "I-I guess you got a nice husband... o-or girlfriend..."

"Sadly, I don't." Uri said with a smile, "Actually I never have been in a relationship."

"What?" Shani said with a laugh, "Now that is totally unbelievable."

"It's true though." Uri said rubbing the nape of her neck, "To be honest, I didn't believe my kind could fall in love... But my brother has proven me wrong. And I think I found a guy..."

"He would need to be blind and crazy to shrug and turn you down." Shani said encouragingly, "That or he plays for the other team."

"Thanks. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. Call me Uri." she said, "What are you doing here."

"Shani." she introduced herself, "I'm waiting for a few friends."

"No way, I do too." Uri said with a laugh, "What would be the odds of them being the same people?"

Their attention was turned to the path leading up to the crypt as loud voices came up as a trio of males comes walking up.

"You bring medicine to the mortals, and they call you an angel." Lucifer said annoyed, "I give them free will and they call me the greatest evil in history!"

"...You gave them free will by stabbing The First Woman with your banana!" Raphael pointed out, "Which I'm still not sure how they turned that into an apple."

"Yeah..." Lucifer said, lookin a bit confused, "I don't get that one either."

It was Lucifer, Geralt and Raphael, the two brothers seemed to be having a discussing with each other as Geralt looked to be completely done with their shit. Shani was about to call out to them but it seemed Uri beat her to the punch.

"Hey guys!" Uri said, waving them over.

"Hey, Uri." Geralt said with a nod, "Looks like you already met Shani."

"I guess we were waiting for the same people." Uri said to Shani with a smile.

"What are the odds." Shani said looking from the Archangel to the witcher, "How do you two know each other?"

"Ran into Geralt a few months back in Novigrad. We're both looking for family members and we ended up helping each other out. We ended up working together a few more times after that." Uri said before turning to her eldest brother, "What's up Luci and... Raph? What are..."

But before words could be said, Uri's eyes widen in realization as she looked from Shani back to her brother.

"Uriel..." Raphael said trying to sound stern, but he sounded more like a kid brother who had a secret found out by his older siblings.

"Where you have been sneaking off to has been the talk of the Silver City." Uri said with a smirk, "Even Mikey has joined in on the fun."

"That's impossible." Lucifer suddenly spoke up, "My less handsome twin doesn't have a sense for fun."

"That was once said about our kind falling in love, and now look at you." Uri pointed out, before turning to Geralt, "So, we were summoning a ghost?"

"This is no crypt." Geralt said as they stood on top of the stairs leading deeper into the cold depth, "It's a full-blown mausoleum."

"This place is a bit too creepy for me." Shani said, "Mind if I wait at the entrance."

"Sure, it might actually be best if you and Raph wait outside." Uri said with a nod, "Just in case something manages to slip past us."

"Right, well." Lucifer said as he gestured to the door, "Let's get..." but before he could finish his sentence music comes out of his pocket.

"I'm not what you want, but I'm exactly what you need! Take a bite and feed, your satisfaction guaranteed! I'm your sunshine, I'm gonna burn down your parade! I'm a shooting star, that wish you wished you never made!"

"Hold on a second." Lucifer said, holding up a finger as he picked up his phone, "Cirilla, missing me already... Wait what? Hold on, I'll be right there."

"What's wrong with Ciri?" Geralt said at once.

"Nothing serious." Lucifer said, as he hung up his phone, "But I'm needed elsewhere for the moment. Uri, can you help Geralt in my place?"

"Got your back, big bro." Uri said with a two finger salute, "Say hi to Ciri for me."

"Will do." Lucifer said with a nod, "I'll be back as soon as possible. If I'm not back by the time the task has finished, just drop Geralt off at my place." before he faded out of existence.

With Lucifer gone off on a side-quest, Uri took the lead as she and Geralt descended down into the Catacombs of the von Everec family. They walked until they reached the central area, a basin was standing in the middle as they where surrounded by stone coffins.

"Alright, so far so good." Uriel said as she took out her dagger before sticking it into the ground, "Your ready?"

"Sure." Geralt said, keeping a hand on his silver sword, "Do your thing."

"Spirits of the dead, hear me and obey." Uri spoke in a commanding tone, "I call forth the spirit of Vlodimir von Everec, brother to Olgierd von Everec."

Bluish-green smoke emitted from the dagger, bathing the cold stone in a eerie green glow. The smoke twisted and turned as it raised up into the air until it started to form into a man, wearing rather nice robes and a nearly bald head.

"The rogue you seek, heeds your call. Vlodimir von Everec, brother to Olgierd." Vlodimir said, bowing down as he attempted to grasp Uri's hand, but it faded through, "Forgot I cannot even scratch my stones. Though in point of fact, they've not itched much since I died."

"We're here on important business." Geralt said.

"I'm a swiving corpse. With no interest in important matters, yours or any other bugger's." Vlodimir said as he appeared from one spot to another, "The sole thing I miss is feasting, corporal diversions, so to speak, but alas..."

"Well, just so happens that's why I'm here." Geralt said, "Your brother sent me."

"How is the old rogue!?" the ghost said with a smile, "What I wouldn't give to ride by his side again..."

"No chance of that happening." Uri said at once, "Could experience something else. Something a corpse should find interesting."

"Olgierd gave me a job." Geralt said, "Odd as it may sound, I need to show you the time of your life."

"Is that so!? Now that, sir, is a brother!" Vlodimir said with a laugh, "I've been dead for years, yet he still looks after me, after my spirits! How much time do we have."

"You'll have one evening." Uri said, "On the final stroke of midnight, you will return here."

"Splendid... But how am I to revel and ruck and fuck!?" Vlodimir said throwing up his arms, "Can't lift a tankard to my lips! Can't wield a saber! Can't squeeze a wench as we dance a jig!"

"That's true." Geralt said turning to the red head, "Any idea's?"

"We could let him posses someone, let him borrow their body for the night." Uri suggested, "It's a good thing Luci isn't here, he has a distaste for demonic possession, or any sort of forcing your will over the freedom of others."

"Say I agree. Whose body would I inhabit?" Vlodimir said, suddenly appearing behind them, "I shan't crawl into the skin of some unwashed bandit or dung-eating swineherd!... I got an idea."

"What?" Geralt said before he realized what that look means, "No, not happening..."

But before he could move, Vlodimir rushed forward and phased into Geralt's chest, causing him to pass out.

Geralt was laying on the floor, until a slap on his face forced him to wake up.

"Geralt, Geralt, you alright?" a female voice said, kneeling down next to him. A long, looming shadow quivered in front of him for a moment; he blinked and Uri came into focus.

"Death was a small price to pay to gaze upon a vision so lovely..." Vlodimir said through Geralt's body, "And so near the wonders concealed a bit higher."

"Great, your possessed." Uri said, as she stood up, "You understand the rules right? You'll have until midnight, after that you return here."

"Of course, milady." Vlodimir said offering his arm, "What say you we leave this dank crypt? There's a charming grove nearby where kisses taste sweeter than anywhere else in the world."

"...Do you have any idea who I am?" Uri said with a coly smirk.

"Don't change the subject, my sweet." Vlodimir said, "If a grove's not to your liking, we can cut straight to the chase and make for the nearest haystack."

"Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to say no." Uri said, "I think Shani mentioned, a wedding. That could help fulfill the contract."

"That's damn good luck. No better dancer in all Redania than Vlodimir von Everec!" Vlodimir said, "My ginger muffin, with me, you shall enjoy an evening to top all others!"

"I'm not a ginger. Those soulless bastards give even me the creeps." Uri corrected him as she gestured for him to follow, "I got some explaining to do to Shani and Raph."

"So yeah, that's basically the gist of it." Raphael explained some time later as he stood with Shani, having to watch Vlodimir as they waited at the entrance of the wedding party for Uri.

"That's... a lot to take in." Shani said after her friend came out and explained about Archangels, God and this whole Omniverse thing.

"I know." Raphael said, "Sorry I didn't tell you sooner but father insist that humans shouldn't be made aware of the Divine. Or even that there are other Worlds out there."

"No, no. It's fine." Shani said quickly, "Just never thought I would be friends with the being responsible for medicine. For my entire profession."

"Friends huh?" Raphael said, he did not know himself but he sounded a bit disappointed.

But before they could continue to talk, Uri had arrived back.

"Alright, I checked in with..." Uri began looking between the two, before noticing someone missing, "Where is Vlodimir? You had one job, Raph!"

"May they draw and quarter me if I've ever seen a lovelier lass!"

Uri turned around to find Vlodimir, who had changed out of Geralt's black witcher gear and was now wearing a very decent looking robe. He also had shaven off Geralt's beard along with a now tripped haircut tied back into a short ponytail.

"...I claim no responsibility in this." Uri said to her brother and his friend.

"Doe eyes! A swan's soft, supple neck!" Vlodimir said, walking up to Uri, "And a waist so slim you could grip it one-handed!"

"Seems someone is taken in by your sister." Shani said amused.

"Well she is rather good looking." Raphael said with a nod, "Not the best looking here but..."

"Then who would be?" she said.

"Uhm... Geralt." Raphael lied, looking away as to hide the heat coming up to his face.

"Right." she said, looking away herself, "I'm about to introduce you to the newlyweds. Please make sure your friend doesn't embarrass me."

"Will try my best." he said.

"Let's get to this wedding." Uri said a bit ticked off, "This can't be over soon enough."

"We shall dance till the break of dawn!" Vlodimir said with a cheerful grin.

"You got until midnight." Uri reminded him, "Not a second longer."

"But that's not enough, milady." Vlodimir said, "I shan't even get properly soused by midnight, let alone..."

"Dude, seriously." Raphael said, "Be happy with what she gives you."

The after wedding party was already in full swing, the sound of music filled the air as around the manor tables laden with food and drink. Uri and Shani walked in front of Raphael and Vlodimir, the possessed witcher had placed an arm around his shoulder and seemed to be talking with the Archangel about something.

"Oh, what a lovely rowan. I remember making necklaces of the fruit when I was a child." Shani said suddenly when they passed a tree just before she spotted the bride and groom, "I shall introduce you to the newlyweds now. Try to behave."

Standing in line behind a few others to greet the bride and groom, Raphael was suddenly pushed forward by Vlodimir, who gave him a encouraging glance.

"Y-Yeah." he said red in the face, "F-For you, my rowan petal, I'd do anything."

"What?" Shani said surprised.

"I-I don't know." he said quickly as the line moved, "L-let's just meet and be greeted."

"My dear friend Aldona and her chosen one, Johnnus." Shani introduced them, "This is Raphael, his sister Uri and..."

"It's an honor!" Vlodimir suddenly spoke up, "The sun shine brightly on this new path in your lives. I am Vlo..."

"He is Geralt of Rivia." Uri quickly corrected him.

"Yes, tis I, Geralt. A witcher. Heartfelt thanks for your hospitality." Vlodimir said, quickly playing along, "I adore weddings. The brides, especially. So fragrant, so tasty, I could..."

"That's enough big guy." Uri said, patting his back.

"So uhm, Aldona." Raphael said curiously, "How do you and Shani know each other?"

"We met in Oxenfurt." Aldona said, "Both studied medicine at the Academy."

"Oh, you studied medicine?" Raphael said with a smile, "You know, I'm something of a medic myself."

"Wonderful time I had there, alas it was over quickly in my case. My family couldn't afford to keep me there." Aldona continued, "I was forced to return home after one year."

"It's never too late to pursue an education." Raphael said, "Your husband is sure to help you complete your studies."

"I don't know." Aldona said looking at her man, "We've not talked about it."

"Come, Johnnus, surely you've not taken Aldona as a mere diversion for the alcove?" Vlodimir suddenly spoke up, "You will help her, will you not?"

"That is between me and her." Johnnus said rather defensively, "You needn't butt in. Neither of you."

"But we're not!" Vlodimir said rather smoothly, "See, we've come to love your wife like a sister. So I ask you as your brother-in-law: will you help her?"

"I-I'm sure we'll discuss the matter." Johnnus said, a bit more relaxed.

"That's my lad!" Vlodimir said, slapping him on the upper arm, "You're a right decent chap, I knew it from the start!"

"Right, well we talked enough." Uri said before taking a hold of Vlodimir, "Happy marriage and all that."

She led the group as she dragged Vlodimir away as Shani and Raphael talked a few more words with the newly weds.

"Okay, I'll admit." Uri said with a slight laugh, "That was smooth."

The sunlight was dazzling on the smooth surface of the nearby lake, on the bank of which the group of woman sat, each with at least a shoe off and, cooling their feet in the water.

A man resurfaced, breaking the surface in nothing but his underwear and carrying an old pot.

"You were s'posed to fish out me slipper. How'm I to dance now, with one foot bared?" one of the women complained to the man as he climbed back to shore, "This a wedding, I've got to wear slippers!"

"I looked, dearie, I did." the man said, "Tain't there. Muck must've sucked it deep in."

"What's going on?" Raphael said as he and Shani walked up while Uri and Vlodimir had gone off to get a few drinks.

"They're playing 'Slip In for a Slipper'." Shani said, "In all your years, you never heard of it?"

"Can't say that I have." Raphael said, "What's the purpose?"

"Maid tosses her shoe in the water, her man's got to dive in and fish it out." one of the women resting her feet in the water said, "If you retrieve it, your maid'll be pleased as punch, for it means you're a gallant beau and awful handy..."

Raphael looked from the woman to Shani, the words of advice Vlodimir had whispered into his ear when they first arrived, he took a decision.

He began to remove his coat, letting it fall to the wooden boards before he moved to remove his remaining clothes. Shani had her confusion turn to a pleasant surprise when she saw him strip. She couldn't help herself but take in the surprisingly muscular and lean form that is Raphael.

As he slowly turn on the spot, she took in his flawless skin finding not a single flaw on there. Must be one of the perks of being an Archangel.

"Shani!" Raphael said a bit louder than intended, "Your slipper!"

An amused Shani reached down to remove her slipper, before with as much strength as she could muster, threw it into the lake where it sunk down into the deep waters. Without hesitation, Raphael took a running start before diving into the water.

A little while later, Uri carrying a stuffed toy pig and Vlodimir came walking over to the lake after a short distraction from one of the games the wedding guests were playing.

"What do you say to that, Uri?" Vlodimir said, "Ever witness such agility."

"Yes, I'm very impressed." Uri said with a roll of her eyes, "When it comes to chasing pigs through muck, your a natural."

"Tell me, Uri." Vlodimir said giving her a side glance, "What's the key with you?"

"What?" Uri said.

"I'm on the prowl, that's clear. In Geralt's name and flesh, of course, but still." Vlodimir continued, "Yet the more I woo you, the less you seem ready to succumb. So I ask myself, what am I missing?"

"Your not my type." Uri said bluntly, "Obviously."

"Rubbish!" Vlodimir said, "I'm every lass type."

"Maybe I'm not a lass." Uri said with a smirk.

She saw a wet Raphael wearing nothing but his underwear, holding a slipper in his hand and around him lay single slippers, none of them being a match.

"I see no amount of silt could keep you from my shoe." Shani said, sitting on a barrel with her legs crossed, "An all the other shoes ever tossed in the lake..."

"Yeah... I might have overdone it." Raphael said with a sheepish smile as he kneeled down to put the slipper back on Shani's feet.

"Look at him." Uri said with a smile, "I'm proud of my brother."

As the evening drew in, and moths began to swoop around the lit lanterns, the revelry became more and more unconstrained.

"Ah, my kind of tune!" Vlodimir said as the music picked up, "Let's do some dancing!"

"No thanks." Uri said.

"Why ever not?" Vlodimir said, "Does this mean milady is unable to dance?"

"Oh, please." Uri said annoyed, crossing her arms under her impressive bosom, "I dance like a god!"

"Sure, Uri." Vlodimir said with a smirk.

"Are you challenging me, Vlodimir von Everec? Very well!" Uri said, grabbing his arm, "I accepting your dancing challenge!"

"Weird. Normally Uri is a lot nicer, she acting more like Gabby. Though still a much nicer Gabby." Raphael said as he looked on from a nearby table with Shani, "...Guess she's not fond of possession either."

"Not fond either?" Shani said.

"I think she got that from Luci. Of our siblings they are the closest with each other..." Raphael said, "Okay, maybe Mickey and Gabby. Or Luci and Mickey before his failed rebellion."

"What?" Shani said.

"Right." he suddenly realized, "I haven't really told about my other siblings."

"You haven't." she said, "But I would like to know."

"Oh, right. Well you met Luci and Uri... I should explain the nicknames. Well, Luci and Uri are Lucifer and Uriel." he said, "Luci is the oldest, followed by his twin Mickey, that's Michael. Then there is Gabby or Gabriel. After her we have Metatron or Meta, then we have me and Uri or Uriel is the youngest."

"Well from the two I have met, they seem nice." Shani said with a smile.

"We used to be closer, all of us. Before Lucifer's failed rebellion." Raphael said sadly, "The Silver City hasn't been the same since then."

"Why did he rebel?" Shani said, "Against who?"

"Against our Father." Raphael said, "As for why Lucifer rebelled I have honestly no idea. There have been theories but only Father and Lucifer know. Father doesn't like to talk about it, which I understand, seeing as he was betrayed by his favorite son... I can ask Luci about it but... we haven't seen each other in centuries."

The two turned to watch the dance floor, where they spotted Uri putting up a spectacular dance with Vlodimir.

"Holy shit." Shani said surprised, her eyes widening in shock, "Your sister can dance like a god."

During the dance, Uri had thrown off her red coat, leaving her arms exposed. She finishes the dance by being caught by Vlodimir as she leans over his arm.

"Check and mate." she said with a prideful smile, "Though I admit, your quite the dancer as well."

"Not a man here who could out-dance me. It's a gift, my legs are preternaturally skilled." Vlodimir said, looking over his shoulder to see the position of the moon, "Seems the music and the evening draw to a close. Know how a true dancer thanks his lovely partner?"

"I..." Uri said confused, "What?"

Vlodimir took her hand, raising it to his lips before placing a kiss on her knuckles. At that moment, he reeled her in and was about to push his lips, or rather Geralt's, on hers.

And succeeded he would have, if not for Uri reacting in time to stop him by pressing her hand against his chest.

"Are you crazy?" Uri said.

"Perhaps." Vlodimir said with a smile, "I have gone crazy about you."

"Obviously." she noted, just as she heard Shani call out.

"It's almost midnight. Time for the capping! All the maids join in the capping!"

"Your a maid too, Uri." Vlodimir said.

"Yeah, no." she said, shaking her head as she dragged Vlodimir with her to the table where Raphael was now sitting.

They watched as the bride sat in a chair, where the maids danced around her in a circle while the guest sang a song, which for some reason included the word cuckhold. They watched as a wedding garland was thrown by the bride, which flipped through the air and landed on Shani's head, much to her delighted surprised.

"As hallowed tradition holds, whoever caught the garland shall be next wed!" the mother of the bride declared.

"Nice going there." Vlodimir said with a smirk, slapping Raphael against the shoulder before picking a feather from a nearby cap, "Seemed our little Raph here will be married next."

"What?" Raphael said as he could already feel his face become red, missing just Shani's green eyes resting on him as she smiled.

The sound of cheers and applause came from the barn as Vlodimir stood outside of it. A rolled up scroll, with a few words from one von Everec brother to the other, written down in the witcher's blood. Geralt gasped as Vlodimir released control of his host, the spirit standing there proudly with both hands on his hips.

"A lovely custom!" Vlodimir said, "Blushing maids, twirling in dance, their hair swirling freely, their bodices undone, their bouncing."

"Will you stop?" Geralt grumbled.

"Did you see it? Shani caught the garland." Vlodimir said, "She'll be next to marry as peasant superstition has it."

"Maybe. Doesn't matter." Geralt said as he leaned back against a fence, "It's past midnight. Time for you to go back to the crypt."

"I can't!" Vlodimir said, "I'm not finished here. I haven't even bedded Uri."

"Vlodimir von Everec. It's past midnight. Your time has come."

Geralt was surprised depside knowing who it was. He had never expected Uri to be capable of adopting such a harsh tone.

"What. You can actually see me?" Vlodimir said surprised, having assumed she could only communicate with a spirit, not actually able to see them as most necromancers could. But he recovered quickly as he continued, "But my lady, we needn't fret such trifles. Death's not come to claw me back, so why not continue our revels."

"Death's not come to claw me back? You really have no idea who I am." Uri said coldly, with a simple gesture, Vlodimir was forced on his knees and he was unable to move as she slowly approached him, "When the first living thing existed, I was there, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job will be finished. I'll put the chairs on tables, turn out the lights, and lock the universe behind me when I leave."

"Are you..." Vlodimir said his eyes widen in realization, "Oh, god..."

"No, that would be my Father." Uri said coldly, "I have many names. Uriel, Thanatos, Ankou, Santa Muerte, Azrael, Grim Reaper. But most know me as Death."

It was at this moment, that Geralt realized why someone could be afraid of Uri and that neither she nor her siblings were truly human. Something about her radiated a sinister power, a cold as if creeping from the edges of space filled the air which only stopped when Vlodimir's spirits dissipated in a cloud of mist, drifting away into the evening air as if it was never there.

"That was pretty harsh." Geralt said.

"At least I didn't make him suffer." Uri said, crossing her arms, "I could have done a lot worse, believe me. Things that would have Luci going, 'I'm the Devil and even I think that's bloody messed up'."

"Remind me to never get on your bad side." Geralt said.

"Eh, your fine Geralt." Uri said with a smile, "So now that your task is done. Do you want me to drop you off?"

"I thought about sticking around, spend some time with my friend." Geralt said much to her delight, "Take a walk with me?"

"Sure, I guess we won't me missed." Uri said peeking into the barn where she saw her brother preform a slow dance with Shani, "Come on, bro. Make me proud."

Snatching a few bottles of mead, Uri and Geralt walked towards the sore line of the lake, with the moon shining down on.

Along the walk, they came across Johnnus talking with his father-in-law, something about how the father's business wasn't going so well, how Johnnus shouldn't let the mother-in-law know and Johnnus promising to have his lips sealed as menfolk needed to stick together. Something which delighted the father-in-law and the two went to get a drink.

"Seems the families are getting along." Uri said, pressing her bottle against her lips.

"A bride's father and his son-in-law?" Geralt said wisely, "Stiff at first, but add drink and they bond or slap each other silly."

"Talking from experience?" Uri said with a grin.

"A bit." he said with a chuckle.

Once they reached the lake, the two sat down against a large tree as they continued to drink and talk.

"After the bottles you downed, I'm surprised your not drunk." Geralt noted, "Or is that a perk of being an Archangel?"

"Yeah, it's an Archangel thing. I can't get drunk, I just like the taste." Uri said before taking a swing, "So, did you enjoy the wedding?"

"It wasn't bad." Geralt said, "Might've even enjoyed myself if I hadn't been used as a puppet by a madman's ghost."

"Sorry about that." Uri said, rubbing the back of her head, "I'm not Lucifer, so I couldn't just conjure up a body for him to possess."

"It's alright." Geralt said, "Gotta admit, though. Thanks to him I did experience a lot of things I might've missed otherwise. Your a good dancer."

"Like I said, I dance like a god." Uri said with a laugh, "Should have seen my dance-off against Aphrodite. The stuck-up goddess of love didn't stood a chance."

And then they could hear the voice of Raphael and Shani speak, they walked past the tree, Uri and Geralt where sitting against, not having spotted them.

"...But they are clearly in love." Raphael pointed out, "Even if the partner is 'unfit', that what most important for a parent."

"I don't know. My mother would never accept an 'unfit' beau." Shani said, "Even if I insisted I loved him, had chosen him."

"Just for the sake of curiosity" Raphael said trying to sound casually, "What makes a beau unfit?"

"So far, every kind." Shani said, "She'd want me to choose someone wealthy, or with a good trade, well brought up."

"Doesn't sound too bad." Raphael said.

"I guess not." Shani said, "But it's hard to find one like that who's still even slightly amusing."

"Damn, I was going to introduce you to Mikey, but Father never gave him his funny bone." Raphael said, shaking his head as his hands rested on his hips, "Difficult person to find like that." much to her amusement.

"Tell that to my mother. She actually thinks I should've found a husband at the Academy." Shani said shaking her head, "But I didn't. I'm certain she thinks there's something horribly wrong with me."

"What? Come on. It's the thirteenth century on this World!" Raphael said, "You went to the academy to pursue your passion. You got a doctorate, your own practice and your on the express line to the Silver City. There is nothing wrong with you. Not a thing."

"You think so?" Shani said, stepping closer as her softer and smaller hand took a grip of his.

"I know so." he said with a smile.

"Enough about my mother, I'm still more curious about your family." Shani said, "You mentioned a father, but what about your mother? What's she like, if you have one."

"Yeah, I have a Mother. She didn't give birth to us like a human mother does, Father and her just made us come into existence." Raphael said, "As for how she is... Well she doesn't care about me, hell, she doesn't care about any of her children not named Lucifer or Michael."

And that was the chapter, hope you enjoyed.

I originally wasn't going to have so much RaphaelXShani in this chapter, but it kinda happen that way.

Also I wasn't planning on having Uri in it, but I thought it was a nice change of pace from how Lucifer does things.

Anyways many thanks to everyone who read, reviews, favorites or follows this, you beauties.
