Omniversal War, Final Chapter: The More Things Change…
1 week later, Ben is back at being a plumber and a full time superhero. This time, Ben is with Rook in Undertown chasing the Forever Knights in the Proto-truk.
"Hey, slow down and surrender!" Ben said to Sir Morton.
"Nay, Tennyson! Just because you slain a robotic scourge, doesn't mean we'll give up so easily!" Sir Morton said as he and the Forever Twins split up.
"Go after the twins, Rook. I'll go after Sir Morton." Ben said as he opened the back of the Proto-truk.
"Are you going to take the Tenn-speed?" Rook asked him.
"Naw, I got a better idea." Ben then activated his Omnitirix and hit it which transformed him into Blitzwolfer.
"Blitzwolfer? Now? I was hoping for Jetray, but I can make this work." He said.
Blitzwolfer then jumped onto the Proto-truk and then jumped from roof to roof to catch up with Sir Morton. Once he caught up with him, he opened his quad-hinged muzzle and used his sonic howl in front of Sir Morton, stopping him in his tracks.
"What in blue blazes?!' Sir Morton said in surprise.
"Over here, Sir Dunce-a-lot!" Blitzwolfer said as he jumped down from the building. "Looks like you're a bit disorganized without your king and that ninja!"
"Let's see if you think we're still disorganized after this!" Sir Morton said as he brought out his laser sword. He then charged at Blitzwolfer who jumped out of the way.
"Uh, Ben?" Rook said thought the Omnitrix's communicator
"Rook, have you got the twins yet?" Blitzwolfer asked.
"That's why I'm calling! There right behind you!" Rook said, warning Blitzwolfer.
Blitzwolfer looked back, but he was hit from behind by the twins which knocked him back.
"Time for a retreat!" Sir Morton said with him and the Forever Twins following him.
"They're getting away!" Rook said while stopping the Proto-truk.
"I got this!" Blitzwolfer said as he jumped up, but the Omnitrix timed out and he reverted back to being Ben. He fell down flat on his face. Sir Morton and the Forever Twins were long gone when Ben got back up.
"Don't worry, we'll get them another time, Ben." Rook said to him.
"Sure, partner. Ouch." Ben said while shrugging off the fall.
Ben and Rook head to Mr. Smoothie to get some smoothies.
"I can't believe I got Blitzwolfer this time. It's a good thing Anne and Sprig weren't around to see it." Ben said, a little disappointed with the alien he got earlier.
"Speaking of them, I was wondering how they are doing back at their homes." Rook said.
"Oh, yeah. I was wondering that too." Ben said.
"Well, how about I show you both how they are doing since you left?" Paradox said as he appeared.
"Paradox, why are you here?" Ben asked
"I bent the rules of time to take you to see a glimpse of the allies you made during your interdimensional adventure." Paradox said.
"It could be a good chance to see how they are doing." Rook told Ben
"Good idea, Rook. Let's get going!" Ben said.
Ben and Rook follow Paradox in the portal as it closes. It took them to Amphibia, but any kind of destruction has vanished without a trace. They even saw two Kill-a-moth flying with one of them being Domino 2.
"Wow, is this the same Amphibia we left a week ago? All the devastation around the place is gone." Ben said who was surprised to see Amphibia clean from the damage from his first visit.
"That is because this is Amphibia, nine months in the future." Paradox then pointed forward. "Now look over there where the Kill-a-moths are flying."
Ben and Rook looked towards where Paradox is pointing and saw that someone familiar is planting a seed in the ground. Once the figure planted it a Frobot like watering cup watered the spot. The cloaked figure got up and he was revealed to be Andrias!
"Is that King Andrias?" Rook said, questioning himself if that is the once evil king of Amphibia.
Paradox then explained with, "He's no longer a king. As you remember, he told everyone he was going to atone for everything he did. After the whole Core Affair, he renounced his throne and became a gardener to fix all the damage he did to Amphibia."
Ben looked at Andrias and said, "Look at his eyes, Rook! Why are his pupils so faded?"
"That, my boy, is due to the damage Anne did to him during their battle. It caused his sight to start to dim over time and he is nearly blind. He even refused to get himself repaired." Paradox said, explaining Andrias' fading vision.
"Looks like he given up on immortality. This shows that he wants to live the rest of the time he has before he sees his longtime friends again, given he has the warhammer and memorials of his friends, including Marcy." Rook said.
"Yeah, but who are those three newts with him?" Ben said, asking about the newts chained with Andrias.
"Those are Bartley, Branson and Blair. Marcy and Andrias called them Triple B. They actually helped Andrias with his invasion and now must atone for their crimes just like him." Paradox said.
"I guess they want to help him. Well that sucks for those three." Ben said.
"Now then, this way!" Paradox said as he went into the portal with Ben and Rook following them. Then they ended up in Wartwood near Stumpy's and saw Wally coming out of the restaurant.
"Good day, you frogs! See ya at the ceremony!" Wally said to two frogs.
"Looks like he is still the same.
Soon, Wally ended up bumping into somebody which caused him to lose his hat.
"Pardon me, young lady." Wally said.
"Who are you calling, young lady?" A familiar voice said. Ben and Rook saw the frog Wally bumped into was Polly, who is now a full grown frog and is wearing mechanical overalls. She is also carrying Wally's hat.
"Wow, Polly is now a full grown frog! Good for her." Ben said.
"OH! Hello, Polly. Still can't get used to you as a frog." Wally said while getting his hat back.
"Whatever, Wally." Polly said while walking in the other direction
Ben and Rook looked all over Wartwood as saw many things throughout, like Maddie giving Mrs Croaker a potion and Loogie pushing a statue for the ceremony, despite losing his muscles, due to him taking a cheat day. Joe Sparrow then went down and landed in the center. He has Grime, Olivia and Yunan with him.
"Hello, delegates! You're just in time for the ceremony!" Toadie said.
"Toadie, you won the election?" Grime said, surprised to see Toadie as the Mayor.
"Well, I had a little help." Toadie told him.
"Constituents don't bribe themselves, heh!" Toadworth said.
Ben looks at Bessie and notices the snail bird on her shell.
"I'm not gonna even gonna ask about that." Ben said, not wanting to know about the bird snail.
"You know I wouldn't mind settling down in a quiet swamp like this. It is slow, the people are friendly…" Olivia said.
Yunan adds with "and it is far away from the countless enemies I made when I was General Yunan, Scourge of the Sand Wars, Defeater of Ragnar the Wretched…"
Olivia cuts her off mid speech by saying, ""Ahem! I know, sweetheart. We all know."
Ben and Rook head to the direction Polly is going and see the Planter Family home, now with Hop Pop's California Avocados. Frobo and MicroAngelo are helping out by watering the avocados.
"What up with Hop Pop selling avocados?" Ben asked.
"He had found a new business venture when he was in Anne's world." Paradox said.
Polly walked near Hop Pop and Sylvia and said "Sup, HP? Where Sprig? It's ceremony time!"
"In his usual spot." He said.
Ben and Rook look through the basement window and see Sprig there. He is using Anne's to create his own journal of the adventures he has with her.
"Hop Pop said that Anne lived in her basement." Rook said
"Did she, because I didn't hear him say that because I turned into Alien X." Ben said.
"Yes, she did." Rook said, answering Ben.
"Perfect!" Sprig said after he finished drawing The Mossman for his journal.
"Sprig, come on! It's time for the unveiling ceremony!" Polly said as she entered.
"Finally! I can't wait to see how it turned out!" Sprig said as he followed Polly.
Everyone in Wartwood gathers around for the ceremony. Loggle dropped the sheet to reveal a statue of Anne in her honor. The plague said, "Anne Boonchuy, we miss you girl!"
Ben then said, "Hey, why don't I have a statue like Anne?
Paradox told him, "Sorry, my boy. You didn't stay in this world long enough for them to get used to you. They only sometimes talk about you as the human with the green clothes who help Anne and her friends. However the Planters still remember you the most out of all of them."
"Aw, man! I Should have known that. Hop Pop said that Wartwood's motto is slow to accept and even slower to respect." Ben said.
"At least Planters still remembers you." Rook said.
"So how is Anne and her friends?" Ben asked Paradox.
"To answer that, we need to go further in time in their world." Paradox said as he opened a portal. He and Rook went in but before Ben jumped he saw Sprig with Ivy who were talking.
"Guess what, Sprig? Grime told me about a new continent, untouched by frog, newt, or toad." Ivy said in excitement. "Feel like going on a new adventure?"
Sprig looked at the stature of Anne one more time. While smiling he said, "I'm in!"
"Looks like Sprig won't be forgetting about Anne." Ben said. He then went into the portal to follow Paradox and Rook.
When he made it though, he saw Rook and Paradox looking at the Los Angeles Airport.
"Are you sure this is Anne's Earth?" Ben asked.
"Yes, but this is her world 10 years in the future." Paradox then pointed to the red car. "Just look at that car over there."
Ben and Rook looked at the car and saw someone familiar to both of them.
"Hey, that's Sasha! She's all grown up!" Ben said who was surprised.
"So this is the future." Rook said.
"But, who is she waiting for?" Ben asked.
"Just keep looking." Paradox said to them.
Ben and Rook continue looking and sees someone waiting for Sasha. They saw that it was Marcy who is also grown up with her hair being longer.
Marcy gasps when she saw her friend and said, "Sasha!"
"Marce!" Sasha said happily.
Marcy wanted to give her a hug, but she ended up tripping due to her clumsiness. She immediately got up and said, "I'm ok."
"Anne never told me that Marcy was clumsy. I wonder why she held that information. Oh well, it probably wasn't important." Ben said. "Hey, Paradox, is this the first time Marcy has visited his friends? Because if it is…"
"No it isn't. She visited them many times throughout the years." Paradox said.
"Paradox, what about Darcy?" Rook asked.
"She has laid dormant over the years. I have no idea when she will strike, but I don't think we need to worry." He said as he created another portal.
Ben and Rook went into another portal. It took them to a building near to where Sasha is driving. They see a couple of birthday presents in the car
"So what have you been up to? Still doing that webcomic? I read a few chapters and it's pretty awesome!" Sasha said
"Tch, aww, thanks. It's been doing pretty well online." Marcy said who is a little embarrassed by it.
"Webcomic? Why can't anyone make a webcomic about me? I saved the universe more times than I can count. Maybe even more than that!" Ben said.
"If we include recent events, then the official count is four." Rook said, correcting him.
Ben then said, "It got more than that. The point is, there should be a webcomic about me."
"How are you doing? Psych degree come in handy?" Marcy said.
Sasha then said to her, "Yup. I really like working with the kids and helping them with their emotional baggage. It's pretty easy since I have a lot of experience." Suddenly a car passed which caused Sasha to get angry at the driver. "Hey, nice signal, buddy!"
"Still as hotheaded as ever." Ben said, not surprised.
"So… have you and Anne hang out much after I moved?" Marcy asked Sasha.
Sasha answered with, "At first, we did hang a lot, but we fell into different friend groups in high school. We still talked, but only once in a while. Never mind about that, have you heard what Anne's been doing these days?"
"Yes and I love it!" Marcy said, happily.
"What has she been doing all this time?" Ben asked Paradox.
"I know a great way for you two to find out.." Paradox said as he creates a portal.
He, Ben, and Rook went in and made it to an aquarium.
"An aquarium? I think I know what she's been doing. Given her time with frogs, she's a herpetologist, isn't she?" Ben said thinking he knows what Anne is doing.
"Correct, my boy now looks closely." Paradox said as he showed the inside of the aquarium through the portal.
They looked in the portal and saw part of the aquarium called The Wonderful World of Frogs. Anne was there and is showing kids what a frog likes.
"A frog's environment is everything. They absolutely love humidity." Anne then showed a pink frog. "This energetic fella is a pink South American tree frog."
The kids that gasp in excitement when they see the frog.
"What's his name?" A kid said to Anne.
"I named him Sprig after a dear, dear friend of mine." Anne said while looking at her pink frog.
"Ok, class, everyone thanks Anne the herpetologist." The teacher said.
"Thank you, frog lady!" All the kids said.
Anne then put her frog friend in her display of Wartwood and scratched his head. When she closed it, She saw that Sasha and Marcy were waiting for her, with Marcy waving at her. Anne cried a bit and then hugged them both before they head off to celebrate Anne's birthday.. The portal then closes.
"Nice to see those three are still friends, despite them parting ways and seeing different people. It's also nice to know that Anne still remembers everything from her time in Amphibia." Ben said.
"Definitely, Ben." Rook said.
"Indeed. Anne also learned a valuable lesson about change." Paradox said.
"Yeah and what's that?" Ben asked him.
Paradox told them, "That it is the hardest thing that can't hold on to something or someone forever and you need to let it go, but out of those things you let go, you be surprised of what makes it way back to you."
"That is a good life lesson." Rook said.
"You said it, Rook!" Ben said.
"And you might forget about it when you decide to play Sumo Slammers, will you?" Rook said to him.
"Maybe." Ben said nervously.
Ben and Rook then see Anne, Sasha, and Marcy coming out of the aquarium and about to go in Sasha's car. Luckily, the three haven't seen them.
"Well, it's time for us to go before they notice us." Paradox said he created a portal back to Bellwood.
"Looks like those three are going to be happy together." Ben said to Paradox.
Paradox answered with, "Yes. It's like I already said to you. So many different ways to tell a story, but that's what makes them so interesting. You can never predict how they turn out. Shall we?" Paradox said as he walked into the portal.
Rook went in next, but before Ben jumped in, He looked at Anne, Sasha, and Marcy one more time as they took a photo before heading in the portal. As they finished, Anne notices a portal being closed and reminded her of the interdimensional friend that came to help them.
"Anne, what the holdup?" Sasha said who sees Anne who seems to be looking for something.
"Sorry, for a moment, I thought I saw Ben." Anne said.
"Really? I haven't thought about him for a long time." Marcy said.
"If it was him, it would have been nice to see him again. Oh well, I'm sure he's fine." Anne said. She then got in Sasha's car, as she, Sasha, and Marcy drove off to celebrate Anne's birthday.

Well, that's it. This story is finally finished and I have a fun time making this crossover. I have no idea on what I'll make next, but it will be exciting. Thanks to everyone who read Omniversal War to the end. See Ya!
