Hey, hey!
I didn't upload yesterday because I was out celebrating my birthday. Sorry lol. It's October 26th, so we celebrate early.
ANYWAYS. Let's get to the chapter! I enjoyed writing this because I love the spicy beginning (slight lime warning). Also the SasukeXSakura interaction. So, I hope you all enjoy it. It's part 2 to clues so more investigation will be done into the Hyuga massacre.
Enjoy!
The arrogant man from check-in brought six other men with him. Hinata watched in awe at the blood that soaked through the carpet of the run down motel. She didn't know if their plan was to overpower Naruto, kill him, or whatever.
She just didn't understand. For the man to not know them, six people were a lot to bring. Did he know who Naruto was? Was this all for the chase of the nine-tails?
Hinata watched as Naruto cleaned off his battered, red-stained kunai. He started to wash it and his hands in the bathroom sink. All of the men were rogue ninja's and Naruto was terrified that the altercation was going to get too loud. He was thankful that it didn't go south, and he was able to take them out as swiftly and silently as possible. All while keeping his chakra under control and not elevating.
The dumb and weak rogue ninja's do idiotic things like this, so Naruto had the upper hand in strength and skill. Only the weak would try to attack what they believed to be easy prey.
The men were left in the corner of their hotel room. Their corpse piled up on top of each other. Naruto had slid their bodies in the room and Hinata helped him pile them up. He made sure not one scallywag was still alive to tell the story of them.
Just like Hinata and almost everyone else knew about Naruto. When he attacked it was always going to be obvious it was Naruto that did it. Many may not know, but Naruto was heavy handed. So when he punctured the skin with his sharp blade it immediately laid on an artery or vital vein. Even if Naruto didn't mean for it to happen, he always made his opponents bleed heavily.
Hinata watched Naruto open the motel's door and just sprint towards the rugged men. He kicked the large, sloppy man from the front desk in the chest and ran over him as he took his kunai and rammed it into the first man he saw. It was so fast and forceful it was like a lightning bolt.
Hinata wanted to get up to aid her lover, but it seemed as if she didn't get a chance. She had never knew Naruto was so agile and swift. By the time Hinata had made it to the doorway Naruto was dislocating the last man's head from his spinal cord.
Naruto inherited many traits from both his father and mother Hinata concluded.
Now, Hinata just stared at the bodies that were piled up. She did this while standing over one body that was positioned strangely. That was going to be in an awkward rigor mortis. If she wasn't already numb from her family she would have thrown up surely. Naruto's kills compared to hers were very much more violent. Just so out of her fighting tactics. "Maybe…maybe they knew who you were? Bounty hunters looking for the nine-tails host for the Akatsuki."
Hinata could hear Naruto scuff in the bathroom at her theory. She turned her head to look at him as he came out the bathroom, drying his hands on a towel. "No Hinata. They weren't bounty hunters. They were definitely after you." Hinata looked at him strangely and Naruto tilted his head and looked at Hinata like she couldn't be serious.
"Hinata. You do know you're beautiful right? You have this innocent, stunning look that seems so unattainable. You look delicate and rich, and…easy picking for men like this. They aren't used to seeing someone pretty and fresh like you. I'm such an idiot, I should have known they wouldn't be able to help themselves."
Hinata's eyes widened as she looked from Naruto back to the pile of corpse, "I suppose I understand the man from the front desk, but why the other men Naruto?"
Naruto leaned against the wall opposite of Hinata as he looked at her with a cynical grin, "Well Hinata. I checked their pockets. Everyone including the fat jerk from the front desk are rogue ninja's. They all also had condoms in their pockets. I'm sure the condoms were more so to make sure they didn't leave behind any evidence or contract anything since they really believed you were a call girl. Now, tell me what you think their plans were."
He watched as Hinata's mouth hung open and her eyes widened, "Y-you cannot be SERIOUS?"
Naruto's grin slid off his face as he looked at her, "Hinata. You're beauty will not fade, no matter depressed and miserable you feel. So, I think it would be a good idea to harden yourself. Remember what I told you before. Your face can be as cold and ruthless as you want, but you can keep all the real beauty about yourself in your heart. Which works out perfectly because only I will see it."
He walked up to her as he spoke, and his eyes never left hers. When they were chest to chest Hinata nodded her head in understanding very slowly. She was that much trapped in his daze. "I understand Naruto-kun." She wrapped her arms around his neck and Naruto grinned at her again, "We have an audience Nata."
He didn't fight the urge of the demon clawing in his mind frame right now. Naruto's eyes flickered red when Hinata looked at him with a crazed look that he perfectly remembers from that unfortunate night. How her eyes danced from the insanity her family gave her.
Would Naruto say that he has finally gotten Hinata to see his point of view? That he got her right where he wanted her after being patient for so long. No. That would sound malicious on his part. That would make it seem like he was waiting for Hinata's world to crumble so he could pick her up and put her back together.
This Hinata in front of him. This Hinata that was filled with mania and bloodlust. No, this Hinata was in the making before Naruto even wanted to pursue her.
Naruto just wanted this Hinata to accept herself finally. Just like he accepted himself. It took Naruto a long time to realize that he had some issues within himself. That's why it used to be so easy for him to lose battles with Sasuke when he was rogue. Naruto wasn't completely honest with himself.
That he was lonely. That he was angry. That he wasn't really okay with what was happening around him.
Then Naruto found out that more people than he actually wanted to know, knew about his past. Knew about the nine-tails and knew that he was treated like utter crap. People, specifically, adults knew and did nothing. No one helped him.
Yet now. Everyone wants him to help them. Funny how that goes.
Even Hinata's family screamed for his help as she was taking away their light. That had to be one of the first times Naruto ignored someone's cry for help. He realized it didn't make him feel bad. He didn't feel as if he went against his morals. If anything his morals were only maturing.
Naruto wanted Hinata to feel this way. She was getting there, slowly but surely. He just had to help her. Give her a little push.
"I want you to kiss me Naruto-kun."
He nudged his nose against hers and growled at the smell of iron in the room. He couldn't stop himself from groping Hinata's waist and pushing her to the bed. He watched as she willingly fell on the bed and looked at him with those wide, unstable eyes. "I can do more than kiss you Hinata. Can I?"
Maybe it was the situation they were in. Maybe it was the environment that was making Hinata think so reckless. So sinful. She was so easily falling for Naruto and his newly discovered devilish ways.
It was like she could only see him in the room and no one else. Ignoring the corpse in the corner of their room. Like he was all she could ever see, and Naruto secretly loved it, "Please do Naruto-kun."
"Sakura."
Sasuke suppressed a groan as he watched Sakura go through Naruto's apartment like a fine tooth comb. She was looking for something. ANYTHING that would explain why Hinata did what she did. Honestly she was praying that she didn't find any clues on where Hinata might be, because then she'd have to report it to Tsunade.
Sakura just wanted to prove that Hinata wasn't some crazed mass murderer.
She ignored Sasuke and his probably 14th time saying her name to try and get her to stop. Didn't he know she wasn't going to stop? Why was he even trying? If Hinata was innocent then she needed their help. She needed them to find a way to prove her innocence so she could come back home, and everything would be normal again.
The fantasy world Sasuke believed Sakura lived in sometimes was unbelievable.
"This is so damn annoying. Now Naruto wants to have a clean, organized apartment. What, he gets with Hinata and she changes him to be this organizer within a year. You know what? How dare she hide the fact she's boning my teammate from me. She didn't say anything for MONTHS. I thought we were FRIENDS! Best fucking friends! She's like a little sister to me! Why the fuck didn't she tell me?!"
Sasuke remained quiet as Sakura vented. Surely Sakura knew Naruto had feelings for her before Hinata came into the picture. Why was she acting like he did not already share at the Nara residence that Naruto said in the beginning him and Hinata were using one another. Surely Sakura could connect the dots that Naruto was USING her BEST FRIEND as a means to get over his fixation of her. Why would Hinata tell her this?
Clearly Sakura was looking for ways to express her frustration. Her anger. From what Sasuke was told by Sakura, her and Hinata had a close bond. Ino was more so the third wheel.
It was clear to Sasuke the rivalry between Ino and Sakura was still alive and well.
In Sakura's eyes, she got Hinata to join Anbu and they had been joined at the hip ever sense. It would seem Sakura was failing to realize that when she decided to take a back burner from Anbu she left her broken friends behind.
That being said there was nothing wrong with limiting yourself in Anbu. Sakura had to focus on her mental health and her career goals as well. She wasn't wrong in anything she did. She just shouldn't be surprised that Ino and Hinata built a stronger relationship during her absent times.
Understand that Hinata started to hide things from her. That Naruto came and took Hinata from her in a blink of an eye.
This wasn't to say that Hinata wasn't a good friend to Sakura. They were still very close. When Sasuke and Sakura became a thing all he heard was stories about Hinata. Her progression and how happy and proud Sakura was of her. If Sakura and Hinata had the time, in Sasuke's opinion, they would 'ditch' him and Naruto and be off together doing whatever.
The two females were just going through personal struggles. When Sasuke got back to the village, he was there for Sakura and Naruto was there for Hinata and vice versa.
Just like now. Sasuke was there to watch Sakura have a mental breakdown in their teammates apartment as she goes through Naruto and Hinata belongings that they didn't care to leave behind. Any sane person would know none of these items would lead them to anything worth wild.
"I know what you're thinking Sasuke. That she didn't want to look stupid because Naruto still had this fake 'affection' for me. That's a dumb copout though. Why would I even say anything about their relationship? If anything I would have been supportive of her getting him to like her for who she was."
Sasuke couldn't help the question of, 'Who really was Hinata?' from popping in his head.
Naruto told Sasuke about the time Sakura told Hinata that he was flirting with another girl and how Sakura hadn't looked at him the same since. Sakura was talking ridiculous right now because she would in fact not be supportive and would have been trying to find any and every way to get Hinata to move on from Naruto.
Sakura didn't even look at Sasuke as she spoke and shuffled through Naruto's closet. Meanwhile Sasuke frowned at Sakura's words, "It wasn't 'fake' he really did have feelings for you. For years. Even I saw this. Are you being serious right now?"
Sakura's head snapped at Sasuke. Her eyes were wide and overly alert, like every ounce of patience in her body was gone. Judging by everything that has happened in the past 48 hours it probably was.
"Are YOU being serious? It wasn't real affection. It was just because I gave you more attention than him. Which I SHOULDN'T have. I was wrong at how annoying I was as a teenager. My focus back then should have been elsewhere. When Naruto started noticing Hinata he wanted her because one, Hinata is smoking fucking hot, and two, he wanted to test the theory if his feelings for me were real or not. Trust me, Naruto isn't a saint in this at all. He used Hinata to see if he could get over whatever he felt for me and it worked, because there was nothing there to begin with. Plus it's clear Naruto has possessive, jealousy issues and couldn't handle Hinata moving on. Tsk, fucking men."
Sasuke didn't want to start an argument over other people. Especially two people that weren't even in the village, but Sasuke felt annoyed by Sakura's words. After everything Naruto had done for them. All the times Naruto did express himself to Sakura, and she had the nerve to say it was never authentic right now. EVEN if it wasn't, the Hyuga girl wasn't innocent in this in the slightest.
"Last time I checked it was your friends idea to start the relationship the way they did. She used Naruto's naïve outlook on things first. Naruto said he loved her, he didn't say if she returned the affection or not. Now he's out there because of her."
Sakura paused her shuffling in Naruto's closet and slowly craned her neck back to Sasuke. "Are you fucking serious right now Sasuke? You don't even know Hinata. She's been in love with Naruto for YEARS. The moment she starts to grow into her own person Naruto wants to get fixated and jealous of her not blushing around him anymore. Naruto left the village with Hinata because he wanted to. I'm…so FUCKING HAPPY they found each other, I just don't…I don't understand why any of this is happening!"
How Naruto and Hinata got together isn't very appealing, but that was beside the point. What the hell happened? How did it go from them using each other, to them falling in love, to a damn massacre of Hinata's family.
Sasuke took a deep breath to calm his nerves. There was no point in arguing who's friend was more innocent in the ordeal. Plus Sakura was yelling and Sasuke's patience was only but so much. "Sakura. She did it. You know there is no ethical, innocent reasoning behind why the Hyuga girl-"
"HINATA. Her name is HINATA. Please…do not disrespect her by talking about her the way you are. Like she's some toxic HARLOT that manipulated Naruto. Like she's just some evil bitch or something. HINATA is a good person. She's one of my best friends. My SISTER. Her and Ino dealt with so much of my bull shit while I CRIED and acted like a total weakling over you. So please, please Sasuke. Be more respectful of her. For me…please."
In a rare moment Sasuke snapped his mouth shut as he looked at how unraveled Sakura was. She had spent the whole evening in Naruto's apartment. Whether it was crying or looking over things. Sasuke still believed Sakura was in denial, but he wasn't helping in the slightest by forcing reality on her. Especially if he, himself didn't know the reality of things.
"What are you looking for Sakura? Maybe I can help."
Sakura's breathing slowed down, and she regained her composure at his words, "Maybe you can help me. I need to sneak into the Hyuga's compound tonight. All the forensic and investigators will be gone at night."
Naruto and Hinata lay on the bed tangled into one another, mixed between the sheets. Both laying their heads on a pillow. Naruto laid on his back and looked up at the ceiling in thought and Hinata stared at his chest as she traced random scribbles on him with her index finger. Naruto had one arm resting under his head and the other hand rested on Hinata's thigh as she was turned facing him.
"So. No way we can stay here after tomorrow. Not only is sleeping next to the dead annoying. Surely people are going to connect the dots that the two newbies in town are the ones that killed those perverted rogue ninjas. Besides we need to figure out our game plan for everything anyways. Maybe I could reach out to some of my connections. What about Sand Village?"
Hinata shook her head at Naruto's words and still kept her eyes on his chest and followed her finger, "I'm scared the Akatsuki will track you. They do not have a fear of going anywhere, even if it is well protected. They will surely go anywhere. From rogue territory to established villages. If you go to Sand village not only would they follow and try to entrap you and your dear friend Gaara, but that would also bring him into my issues. That is not being fair to him or you."
Naruto smiled while he looked at the ceiling, "Could you be any more caring Hinata? You make good points though. This is our problem. Maybe just maybe we could find Itachi Uchiha. From what we discovered from the information by you and Ino, he's kind of been in a similar position as you. We know he's not genuinely being malicious while in Akatsuki right now, and we could use him on our side."
Hinata hummed at the idea in agreeance. He could help. Or his allegiance with Konoha might be more overpowering. Especially now that his brother is back there. "Naruto-kun…how long do you think we can do this for?"
"I got a couple more rounds left in me. Just say the word."
"Naruto-kun!"
Hinata felt Naruto chuckle through his chest, "I don't know Nata. Until you're no longer in the BINGO books. Until you're pardoned or something. I refuse to allow them to label you as this cold hearted murderer when Konoha knew all along that this tension between your clan was brewing and for political purposes did nothing about it. You came to them asking for help and they used you as a spy. They watched you be stripped of your title and now all of a sudden you're the bad guy they can fall back on. It's not fair. Nothing-"
Naruto paused for a moment to get his bearing. He was getting upset and had to control himself, "Nothing that Konoha has done has been fair for a while now. Not how they allow these horrible people to be piece of shit parents. Not how they treat kids in the orphanage. Especially not how they carried this nine-tails thing with me. Konoha is all about being politically correct and on top. They stopped caring about who's really right or wrong. I don't know, they just piss me off sometimes."
Hinata's hand left his chest and reached around to hug his torso, "They've treated you wrong for so long. I wish I was there for you more. I wish you didn't hurt for so long Naruto-kun."
He smiled at the ceiling still before he turned and looked at her, "You were treated just as bad. I remember being little and trying to be there for you and failing miserably. I won't fail again. I won't let them hurt you again."
Naruto leaned over half way and sighed to himself when Hinata eagerly met him the other distance and the two kissed. He loved that with everything that they did, nothing was one sided. It never felt like he had to compete for Hinata's attention or felt like she was doubting him. She always looked out for his best interest. Even now. He knew she was probably absolutely destroyed right now, but she was still thinking about his best interest.
Hinata made him want to be a better him. A better man and human being. He'd do anything for her, and he wouldn't let anyone harm her. Ever. Just like she would do her best to make sure he was never harmed.
Naruto pulled away from her lips and smiled when she followed his. Hinata was in a weak moment in her life right now. All she was craving was comfort. Naruto knew at this point in her life it would be easy for her to break. Easy for her to crumble because Hinata wasn't used to being the bad guy.
He didn't mind being one though. To save her he would be.
He placed his forehead on hers and cupped her cheeks. Her empty eyes looked at his searching for some type of answer to the madness going through her mind. Naruto would provide her the guidance that she needed right now until she picked herself up, "We'll find Itachi and go from there. Yeah?"
Hinata quickly nodded her head as she looked at Naruto and returned the smile he was giving her.
The next morning after the two cleaned themselves up and took their time to fill their stomachs they left the hotel room with the now rotting corpse. Hinata, now with a fresh hooded cloak over her head and Naruto just aimlessly walking in his Anbu gear, but no village affiliation shown.
"Okay. So we could take the risky route and go straight to the village the Akatsuki hold as their base. Pervy-sage not too long ago got the coordinates for it. He just didn't know I snuck in granny's office and took a peak at them when I was getting Neji's mission schedule for you. So, we could do that, or we could go on our own personal man hunt for Itachi. Pro's and con's for both."
Hinata looked in thought as she ran over Naruto's options he just gave, "If the Akatsuki find you before we talk to Itachi-san then that could lead to something very bad. However, if we go on a hunt for Itachi then our cover will surely be blown and Konoha very well will find us faster. Your first option is dangerous for you and the second option is dangerous for me."
They both looked at one another.
"Let's go to the Akatsuki's village."
"Let's track down Itachi-san."
Naruto frowned at Hinata. He already knew she was going to take the option that she figured would put herself at risk the most, by pursuing Itachi. "Hinata."
Said person turned away from Naruto and he saw a small blush reach her ears, "I can handle myself Naruto. If anyone tries to attack me I can take care of myself." Naruto took Hinata's hand and had her stop walking to face him. He slowly pulled her closer to him until they were chest to chest. He bore down into her eyes and this time Hinata tried to match his stare.
His eyes were so…dominating, it was hard for her, but she held her ground.
"Hinata. I'm not saying you can't take care of yourself. I also know you're not one to fight people you love. The moment Konoha tracks us down and we make contact, you'd give in. Especially if it was by someone you knew. What if they played dirty and it was Sakura? It's too SOON Hinata. We need more time for you to be able to understand."
Hinata frowned stubbornly as she looked at him, "I understand everything perfectly Naruto."
In return he raised a brow at her as he snaked his arm around her waist, "What do you understand Hinata? Because what happened that night for some reason is happening different in your mind than mines. I remember the main family making the first attack."
Hinata's strong gaze was starting to waiver and Naruto could see the buried sadness start to resurface, "B-but I killed them. I killed my family Naruto-kun."
Naruto didn't wipe the tears from her face. He watched them fall and still looked at her deeply in her eyes. Was it killing him to be so tough on her? Absolutely, but Hinata needed this reality check. The reality that things were only going to get more complicated. "They killed the branch family first. We barely had time to even register what was going on and then we saw them start to drop like flies."
Hinata's breathing started to pick up and she was hiccupping as she spoke, "I w-w-was ordered t-to s-stand down though. I-I-I killed my SISTER Naruto. I-I LOST IT. I turned into a monster! What else is there to understand?!"
Naruto gripped the nape of her hair and pressed their foreheads together. He growled at her ability to put all punishment and responsibility on herself so easily every time. "Why are you putting the burden on yourself? Why can't you see that night how I saw it? I won't let you do such a thing to yourself Hinata. I won't let them use you like this."
She gripped his shoulders and pulled him close to her. This wasn't like Hinata, but Naruto understood the emotional roller coaster she has been on and how she's been trying to be strong. She didn't cry, she just needed him close to her.
The two stood in silence for a moment before Naruto spoke again, "Hinata. Do you trust me?"
Hinata pulled away slightly and looked up at him with those crazed eyes that he was growing to love, "Of course."
"Then follow me to Amegakure."
It was past midnight when Sasuke and Sakura creeped into the condemned Hyuga compound along with Shikamaru and Ino. Sakura and Ino coming to a silent agreement between one another that they would put their past issues behind them for the sake of Hinata.
While the bodies had been cleared from the area, the blood splatter for crime scene purposes were still there with number cards littered everywhere. Typically day one would be labeling, photography and gathering forensic evidence. So the four of them made it just in time before cleanup day.
"Ino don't touch anything. Don't think about messing up the scene either. We're here for the truth and nothing else. Got that?"
Ino frowned at Shikamaru and how he could easily read her, "I know that!" She watched as Shikamaru rolled his eyes at her blatant lie. Ino was 100% dedicated to Hinata at this moment which let him know later on to drill her even more on what information she was hiding.
Sakura immediately went into Hinata's bedroom to see if she could find anything. Upon entering the room she discovered it was empty, "What the HELL?! Ino! Did the investigators take Hinata's stuff out her room?"
Immediately Shikamaru looked at his wife to see if she was lying. Ino, already knowing she was on thin ice with Shikamaru, walked up to Hinata's room and stood at the doorframe as she looked at Sakura. "No. They didn't take anything because there was nothing to take. Hinata was advised a few months ago to move all her stuff out to Naruto's apartment. That way he could have eyes on her at all times if she wasn't on a mission. Her father was pissed, but what was he really going to do with Naruto around."
Immediately Sasuke frowned at Ino's words. Something wasn't adding up.
"Plus just like Hinata you have a significant other, you actually LIVE with Sasuke. I don't have the pleasure of living with Hinata. She's 18 and her father still has the tightest leash on her when she's not working."
That's what Naruto said a few days ago to him and Sakura, "Stop. Naruto said a few days ago that Hinata still lived with the Hyuga's. Why would he say that if it wasn't true?"
"Because he lied to you."
Everyone but Sasuke practically jumped out their skin when they heard the new male voice. Sasuke already knew it was Kakashi's voice and just turned to look at him, "He lied to us?"
Kakashi walked inside Hinata's room from behind Ino and looked around the empty room. "Yes. Naruto is good at avoiding telling the truth and lying. He's always been good at that. However, when him and Lady Hinata became an item and the two became very much entwined with one another his urge to protect her resulted in him picking her over being honest to you and Sakura."
Kakashi looked at Sakura and smiled, "He had to. You are the Hokage's trusted student. Tsunade will be passing everything medical down to you so that means she has a great amount of trust in you Sakura. With Sasuke being back and less stress in your life, you have a much more level head and that is a positive for Lady Tsunade."
He then looked at Sasuke, "You are someone Naruto sees as a brother. You and Sakura are his family. That being said, you would pick Sakura over him in a heartbeat because you love her. What you know Sasuke, Sakura will know and what Sakura will know Tsunade will find out. Naruto couldn't risk that. That information he fed you two over time is an even mixture of truth and lies and ones that you probably wouldn't be able to take apart."
Kakashi turned to Shikamaru and Ino and smiled at them as well, but they could tell his smile didn't reach his eyes. His face taking on a more sharp, dangerous look.
"Now family. You can be deceitful to. Family isn't meant to know everything about you. Then…you have best friends. They know everything. Shikamaru is Naruto's best friend. I am sure he told you first when he was going to join Anbu. Meanwhile Sasuke and Sakura did not find out until he was almost done with the training."
Shikamaru gave Kakashi a skeptical look, "Hn. Yeah. So? You think I'd honestly sit here and cover up for Naruto and Hinata because we have a close relationship?"
Yes.
Kakashi shrugged his shoulders, "There is a reason that Tsunade didn't pick me or you Nara to be on the investigation team. She very much knows that we are not trustworthy and our allegiance in all actuality lies with Naruto."
Shikamaru was silent for a moment before his eyes drifted off to Sakura and Sasuke and then back to Kakashi. This immediately put Sasuke and Sakura on guard. Once again the Nara family was hiding information.
Shikamaru scuffed at the remaining team seven, "Naruto's had it rough long enough. Don't ya think? If he wants to go off and protect his girl, who I also know is an innocent human being, than why not let him?"
Kakashi nodded his head and shrugged his shoulders again, "So are we saying it's okay for Naruto to run off with a fugitive? A murderer. She is being charged for murdering her clan."
Shikamaru folded his arms this time and stared Kakashi down, the man was fishing for info. "Don't worry Shikamaru. Like I said my allegiance is with Naruto. I owe him that much. I just need a better understanding on what is going on."
Shikamaru grunted at this, "I mean your guess is as good as ours. I honestly don't think Hinata killed her whole clan. Just the aristocrats. I think it was a blood bath and Hinata had to choose against her bloodline family. Meaning she killed her sister as well as her father. Hinata better have a damn good reason behind doing something like that."
Ino sighed as she leaned against the door, "I mean I already said that this has been on going in Anbu and the interrogation unit. Hinata informed all the right chain of command and was ordered to observe and report. Neji already stated that Hiashi found out and from there she was stripped of her title as heiress and had to hand it over to Hanabi. Hinata was due to be silently moved out the village for her protection against her family in a few weeks. So, my thing is I have no CLUE why her and Naruto went back to the Hyuga compound that night."
The room grew silent again, everyone lost in thought once more. Kakashi looked to be in conflict with himself for what he was about to admit, "I am sure we all know that there was nothing innocent about what happened that night. We are all human that gives into our dark desires and anger from time to time. Hinata is no different. Her only fault was that she included herself in a battle that was already taking place. Bottom line was she shouldn't have gone there that night and Naruto shouldn't have let her go."
Sasuke frowned at hearing the conclusion, "He wanted her to go and she wanted to come here to the Hyuga compound just as much. You're saying they wanted to do this? So they're screwed."
Shikamaru groaned as realization was crashing down, "From an ethical standpoint. I can see 100% where Hinata was coming from. Why I personally do not see her at fault. We are all forgetting that we all grew up together. Excluding Uchiha, we all know Hinata's upbringing, so we all believe her to have the right to do what she has done, because really we're all thinking fuck those Hyuga's right?"
The room grew silent because honestly that was the silent joke for years within their social group. Shikamaru looked at Ino and she could tell his eyes were telling her he was sorry for what he was going to say.
"From a judicial standpoint. Let me paint the picture. After the pass down ceremony, that should have been the last communication between Hinata and the Hyuga's. However that night Hinata went back to the compound with Naruto to discover her family was fighting one another. The branch family in particular was probably losing. She notifies no one, even though she was ordered to, and she engages with her family. She kills them. She killed them. Including her father and sister. She notifies no one of what happened and flees from the village. From a judicial standpoint Hinata could be charged with premeditation, it could be argued she planned this all along. If she's lucky she'd just be convicted of a passion crime."
Ino closed her eyes at hearing Shikamaru and covered her face as she slid to the ground. Sakura covered her mouth and choked out a sob as she squeezed her eyes shut. It all made sense. They couldn't save her. Hinata was going to lose it all.
Sasuke ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, "That's not the only problem."
Kakashi and Shikamaru both nodded at this. Sakura looked at Sasuke. She uncovered her hand from her mouth and her lips trembled as she waited for him to continue.
"I'll give it to Hinata that she's strong, but who else made sure no one ran out the compound. Someone made sure no one escaped. We all know who."
End of chapter! Hope you guys enjoyed it and could put some more clues together!
The Sasuke and Sakura 'argument' was kind of cute to me. I hate when it seems like Sakura just bows down to Sasuke's every word. She has her own voice and she's strong in her own way. Her and Hinata.
Well, until next week! Saturday for sure lol.
