The Green Lantern of Earth-2, Alan Scott, had used his power ring to make a stage and a band for Elvis Presley to perform on as both a celebration as well as a distraction for everyone. Ash Williams was one of several people dancing on the green glowing dance platform with Mel Bush, who was the Third Doctor's Companion. Chuck Bartowski had convinced Sarah Walker to have a dance with him declaring when else could they dance at a live concert with Elvis Presley singing. Alongside the aged king of rock-n-roll was the green-skinned Deathwok demon, Lorne, as well as the pink-haired rockstar Jem, both as backup singers. Members of the band Josie and the Pussycats, Josie, Valerie, and Melody were accompanying with guitars and drums.
Hoban Washburne had managed to drag his wife, Zoë, out on the floor. Inara even managed to get Serenity's captain, Mal, to dance with her. Amy Pond and Rory Williams were also dancing to the music. Hellboy and Liz Sherman made another couple. Speedy and Wonder Girl were also enjoying the dance floor. Harry Potter and Hermione were grinning as she taught his how to dance. Alex Mack and Will Marshall were dancing slow and close knowing that their time together was short. Tru Davies was asked to dance by a shy Tom O'Hara. Wonder and Houdini from the Zoom Academy were another couple on the floor. Will Stronghold and his girlfriend, Layla Williams, were also dancing up a storm. Holly Marshall was trying to teach Cha-Ka how to dance in one corner of the platform. The actor Fred Kwan had convinced his alien girlfriend Laliari to try dancing with him. Their movements were strange, but not too far from what everyone else was doing. Fred Burkle had managed the difficult trick of getting her boyfriend, Charles Gunn out on the floor, but he was happy that she did. Black Canary was likewise able to get Green Arrow on the floor. Dancing above everybody because of the growing lack of space, Power Girl and Firestorm danced in their own fashion while floating in the air. Firestorm even sent off a few fireworks into the air for effect.
Not everyone was able to enjoy the music. Mister Medulla, a teacher from Sky High, was one such person. The sound actually vibrated the lobes of his enlarged skull in an annoying way, but at least it wasn't painful. Now that the fighting was done, Principal Powers had him monitoring one of the people who seemed to recognize everybody from various sources of fiction on his alternate Earth. There was hope that there would be more insight if people were able to put all the information together. And while cataloging the various connections as well as noting doppelgangers could be intriguing, there was one great fault with this duty. The source Mister Medulla had to work with was one Sheldon Cooper. So far the exercise had made Sheldon very happy and provided Mister Medulla with a headache.
Currently, Sheldon was taking as many photographs as he could with as many people as he could.
Zorro examined the photo in his hand with awe. "The detail is incredible!"
"Yes, isn't it. Now here." The pen was handed to Zorro. "Sign it right down there."
Zorro studied the pen for a moment. "You want me to write on a photograph?" He had never heard of such a thing before.
Sheldon Cooper nodded. "It is done all the time where I come from. I usually get a dozen or two every Comic Con depending on who shows up."
Zorro stopped himself from asking what a Comic Con. He was just glad to have one of these 'polaroid photos' to take back with him. "This is better than a portrait even if it is smaller."
Sheldon was already looking for his next candidate to take a photo with. He'd been so fortunate to have become a Companion to the Tom Baker Doctor. He was even more fortunate that The Builder, who had made him a Companion, had also made it so that the Doctor could not leave in the TARDIS without Sheldon. He decided to take several shots of the dance floor and try to sort out who was dancing with who when he was ready to put them in a photo album. "Leonard is going to be so jealous."
He spotted Khan Noonien Singh and Commander Sela, who was the daughter of Lt. Natasha Yar, talking with Mr. Roarke and Tattoo from the television series Fantasy Island. He got a quick few photos from far away, not wanting to face the wrath of Khan.
Sheldon glanced around him for his next target.
"Oh no! The United States Marine Corps 58th Squadron of the Space Aviator Cavalry, otherwise known as 'The Wildcards', are going back to their universe. I only got three photos of Lt. Cooper Hawkes from a distance."
Sighing, Mister Medulla began writing notes about the television series Space: Above and Beyond, the year that it aired, and what Sheldon thought about it, and the names of the characters and what they were about.
"Oh, no. Lt. Col. McQueen died. He was my favorite character of that show."
Sheldon was contemplative for a moment and glanced at Mister Medulla for a second. "As much as I am enjoying seeing everyone here… after all the fighting and death, I hope this is all just a realistic dream." He paused. "But if all this is a dream, I hope I don't forget it when I wake up, because this is epic! I love my brain!"
Mister Medulla regarded Sheldon's brain for a second with his powers. "Hmm. Yes, much higher intellect than the ordinary person. It's organized well, too. Cognitive functions work at an extremely high rate for a basic Human. Contains a large variety of scientific knowledge as well as fictional-based trivia." He was about to compare it to his own much expanded brain, but Sheldon had pointing up as the Green Lantern of Earth-1, Hal Jordan, flew in with a large green-glowing platform that had dozens of people in recliners on it coming in for a landing and one horse.
Once the platform touched down, the seatbelts on the recliners disappeared and the people were allowed to get up. Several people began to move about, making sure everyone in their group was there, and then taking in the new area and the music being played.
"Who are all these new people?" Sheldon asked.
"Ah," began Mister Medulla. "These were some of the people brought to this micro-verse that were farther away. John, one of the telepaths that helped coordinate with Professor X and myself, was in that area, so it was decided that he would try and draw non-combatants to his area so they wouldn't get caught in all the fighting. Fortunately, a few fighters did go to his group as well as they had an encounter with a race called the Kromaggs, and another with the Morlocks. They even say they had to fight off some zombies."
Sheldon paled. "Wha-what type of zombies? Not the 'World War Z' or 'Marvel Zombies' type? Or the type that just want to eat our brains?"
Mister Medulla did not like the images coming from Sheldon's thoughts on this subject. "John described them as more of the slow moving 'Night of the Living Dead' or 'Walking Dead' type. Do you know these references?"
"Yes. It means they shamble about and are not very intelligent. As long as you don't get cornered and have a secure place to rest and have a good escape route, you can survive. World War Z zombies actually run in a pack formation. And Marvel Zombies have their intellect, and several were superheroes. That is a bad combination."
Mister Medulla nodded his extremely large, bald head. "You will be happy to know that all the zombies were destroyed, and that Green Lantern made a thorough scan for any remaining zombies or pieces of zombies. Some of the magical types have also verified that that particular danger is past."
Sheldon touched his skull. "I would hate for my brain to end up in some zombie's putrid intestinal tract."
Mister Medulla felt a chill going through him of that happening to himself. "Perhaps we could talk about something else… please."
"Those new arrivals!" Sheldon seemed to be caught between shock and rapture. "That's… that's Blossom! Blossom Russo! She's like a younger copy of my girlfriend, Amy Farrah Fowler! I never realized how much they looked alike. It's incredible. And she has her friend, Six LeMeure, with her."
"You have a girlfriend?" Mister Medulla asked incredulously. That was more surprising than zombies.
"That's Doogie Howser from Doogie Howser, M.D. she's talking to. Oh, and behind Doogie, the big African-American man in the bib overalls is John Coffey from The Green Mile. He can somehow heal people. He must have done something like that around Doogie because it looks like Doogie is keeping him close. And there's Mike Seaver from Growing Pains. And that's Charles from Charles in Charge. The show never provided his surname. But there is his best friend, Buddy Lembeck. Buddy is the one starring at C.J. Parker, the blond in the swimsuit who is a lifeguard on a show called Baywatch, and next to her is her boss, Mitch Buchannon."
He spotted a small cluster of girls. "Oh! The Facts of Life girls! That's Tootie, Natalie, Blair, and Jo! And there's Alice, the maid from The Brady Bunch. And I think that redhead boy is Danny Partridge from The Partridge Family. And that is Steve Urkel with Carl Winslow from the show Family Matters. Steve might be interesting to meet. He's supposed to be extremely intelligent like you and I are."
Mister Medulla almost corrected Sheldon about his own intelligence being far greater than that of the young man. He didn't think Sheldon would appreciate such a correction. Instead, Mister Medulla just recorded more data as Sheldon talked.
Other people were also considering the new arrivals and heading over to meet them.
"Monica!" Ross Geller ran around a somewhat rotund Black man in a police uniform to try to get to his sister, the first recognizable person he had seen since somehow coming to this place.
He had seen her look right at him as he was rushing over, but had glanced to either side of her as if she thought he was calling out to someone else. When he got to her, and he placed his hand on her wrist she looked alarmed.
"Monica, how did you get here? Is anyone else here?"
"Let go of me!"
He did automatically. "Sorry, Monica. I have just been so freaked out in this place. It's just good to see someone I recognize."
"I don't know you," she declared, taking a step back.
"Wha-"
"Is this guy bothering you, Gloria?" asked a young man in a jean jacket and a slight punk look.
Ross was not having it. "This is not Gloria. This is my sister: Monica Geller-Bing."
"Bing?" the guy said with a laugh.
"Hey! She married by best friend! Chandler Bing! Bing is a good name!"
"Chandler?" The guy broke out into more laughter.
"Who is this guy?" Ross demanded of his 'sister'.
This caused the young guy to sober up. "I'm the boyfriend."
"Boyfriend?!"
The young lady had had enough. "And I am not your sister."
Ross was about to argue that fact when he noticed something. "Wait. You- you're younger. How? But you look like… You really aren't my sister."
Gloria Dinallo felt a bit bad for the guy now. "I really look like her?"
Ross took out his wallet and pulled out a photo of Monica and Chandler.
"Holy cow! She looks like me." She showed it to her boyfriend. "Johnny, look at this!"
Johnny glanced at the photo and nodded. "Looks like you age really well."
Gloria elbowed him good naturedly in the gut. He grimaced but took the blow with a slight grin.
"Excuse me," said another female voice.
Ross glanced over, then cried out, "Monica!"
The newcomer winced. "Um, no. Afraid not. I'm Marsha. Marsha Holloway." She gave a smile. "I just noticed that she looks a lot like a younger me." She took a look at the picture of Monica and Chandler. "Wow! She really looks like me!"
"I'll say," said the man who just ran over at superspeed.
"Hey, you have powers!" remarked Johnny.
"This one's sharp," said Zoom with a grin.
"More than sharp, old man," said Johnny as he let electricity arc between his fingers.
"Cool. We could have used you during our big battle," said Zoom, hoping he had managed to deflate the situation. "There were one or two bad guys with electrical powers you could have helped overpower."
Johnny shrugged. "Yeah, well, we had to protect the normal people from the Morlocks and the Living Dead."
Zoom couldn't help the shiver that went down his spine. "Nope. I don't do zombies. Not even watching the movies. Give me a cluster of super-villains any day."
Gloria and Johnny looked around at the devastation around them. "I'm not sure I agree," Gloria stated.
"Hey!" said Johnny. "Maybe I have a body double around here, too."
"Maybe," responded Zoom. "I haven't seen everyone here yet like you so far. Though I have a double of mine someone over there who is an actor in some space show called…" He glanced at his girlfriend, Marsha. "What was it called?"
Marsha grinned. "Galaxy Quest, Jack."
Ross put his wallet away. "Um, sorry about the… mistake. I'm just going to…" He pointed off to one side and then left.
"This must be really hard on him," Marsha said.
Zoom nodded. "Might be a good idea to get him to the head of the line for The Builder to send back. I'll go and arrange it." Marsha kissed his cheek before he zipped away.
"That's pretty cool," remarked Johnny. "I can move at the speed of electricity. I wonder if I am faster than him."
"Don't you dare try that," chided his girlfriend. "You need a good charging of electricity before doing anything like that."
"Actually," interjected Marsha, "if you did want to do testing, we have plenty of scientists like myself who can test your limits and possibly give you new ideas of how to test your abilities. Plus, The Builder can heal any damage that occur. Except for death If you needs electricity, we have several people who can do that easily."
Johnny was grinning. "Hey, and Gloria can have her TK powers tested, too.!"
"Telekinesis?" Marsha asked to which Gloria nodded with a bit of shyness. "Interesting. I actually have a power, too. I can blow wind with incredible ferocity. It's not the greatest power. I once sneezed and blew over an oil tanker. Luckily, it was empty."
Gloria and Johnny chuckled good-naturedly. "We all have stories like that in the Misfits of Science," stated Gloria.
"Is that what you call yourselves?"
Johnny nodded. "Dr. Lincoln can shrink to eleven inches tall."
Marcia grinned. She liked working on things like this.
oOoOoOo
"Why the hell do you look like me?" demanded Edgar Frog.
"What the hell? Let go!" Mouth shouted at whoever had grabbed his shirt collar from behind.
"Hey!" shouted Mikey, who went to help out Mouth. "What's your problem?"
"Back off, shorty," Alan Frog said, interposing himself between Mikey and his brother.
"Let go of our friend!" hollered Data.
Alan glanced over at his brother, a bit alarmed at his brother's actions, but felt he had to back him up. "He just wants to talk to him."
Data, a young teen, pulled up his left sleeve. "Time for Blind Justice!" A stream of liquid squirted out of Data's right into Alan's face.
"Arrgh! Lemon juice! My eyes! Gunna kill you, runt!"
Data was smart enough to go when Mikey pulled him as Alan gave chase. He was glad when Mikey ducked right behind his big brother, Brand.
"Hey," Brand said, being almost a head taller than Alan. "What the hell do you think you are doing? No one messes with my brother but me."
Alan, still wiping his eyes and cussing, said, "This has nothing to do with you! I just want that bastard that sprayed lemon juice in my eyes!"
"Not going to happen," came an adult male voice. He was tall and rugged and wore a fedora. The man glanced over to Data. "How did you get here, Short Round?"
Data gave a confused look to Mikey. "We were being chased by the Fratelli gang. They are bank robbers."
"Bank robbers?" Indiana Jones frowned. "But I left you at… Wait, you're not Short Round, are you?"
Data hesitated, then gave a slight shake of his head.
"Okay," Indiana muttered. "Short Round would be at least a couple years older that you." He then turned to Alan. "But that still doesn't excuse you chasing after him like that."
Alan squinted as tears worked at clearing his eyes. "Edgar! Whatever you are doing, things just got…" He stopped when he saw a woman was holding Edgar by his ear and it looked painful.
"Lady, let go already!" shouted Edgar.
"You shouldn't just attack someone that is smaller than you."
"Lady, I'm warning you! I fight vampires! You don't want to mess with me!" Edgar tried.
"Oh, please. I'm a grandmother, I helped captured a serial killer, and I am taking care of my grandmother. Speaking of which, Maw Maw, where are you?"
"She's over here with me, Mrs. Chance," said a teenaged male voice.
"Good. Thank you. Are you Vern or Andrew? All these lookalikes everywhere is a bit confusing."
"I'm Andrew Clements. And this younger version of me is Vern."
"Vern Tessio, ma'am," spoke Vern who was a bit younger and had more baby fat in his face. Vern's friends, Gordie Lachance and Chris Chambers, stayed huddled together around their friend Teddy Duchamp who was a slightly younger twin of Edgar Frog and Clark 'Mouth' Devereaux.
"See?" said Virginia Chance to the boy whose ear she was painfully holding. "There are several people that resemble others closely. Hell, that girl over there, Stephanie something-or-other, is a dead ringer for me when I was a teenager. You don't see me attacking her, do you?"
Edgar had had enough. He elbowed Virginia Chance hard in the gut, then pulled out a flash grenade, and covered his eyes.
Everyone cried out as they were blinded by the light.
"Now to get some answered from my pod-twins!" declared Edgar, who had covered his own eyes.
Edgar didn't go for Mouth again, but instead went for the other copy of himself, Teddy Duchamp.
Teddy cried out when Edgar and Alan grabbed ahold of him and pulled him away.
Gordie, trying to help, did the only thing he could think of. He and his friends had brought a handgun on their camping trip to find a body that had been hit by a train, and it was the only thing he could think to do to save his friend.
"Stop!" Gordie shouted, as he tried to aim the gun but couldn't see clearly.
"No one pod-peoples me!" Edgar shouted.
Indiana Jones was trying to push through to get to the Frog brothers. He thought that Mrs. Chance had had things under control until Edgar snapped.
Somewhere in the background, Sam Emerson was yelling to the Frog brothers.
Vern tripped over Chris and crashed into Gordie. Someone rushed in front of them just as the gun fired as they crashed to the ground.
As everyone blinked their eyes, they saw Andrew brushing off the bullet from his chest.
"Oh God! Are you alright?" Gordie asked
"I'm invulnerable, remember? That's why those zombies couldn't bite me," he said with a grin, happy that while in the Land of the Lost he didn't have to hide his superpowers from anyone.
"Wish I had powers," Vern commented.
Andrew regarded his younger-looking doppelganger. "So, you wouldn't have minded have been bait to draw the zombies away?"
"Um, I've changed my mind." Vern looked somewhat green. "At least you were able to float above them to get away."
Edgar still had Teddy, but Teddy had elbowed him the nose, bloodying it. Chris had charged forward and tackled Edgar and began hitting for all he was worth.
Alan was about to go to help his brother, when Data suddenly called out, "Pinchers of peril!" A set of fake toy teeth flew out from Data's sleeve and clamped hard onto the fingers of his left hand.
"I've been bit!"
Indiana Jones grabbed hold of Alan. "That's enough out of you!"
A guy in a suit grabbed Edgar and twisted his arm behind his back. "Whatever this is about, it is over now." Brand had grabbed the other arm.
Edgar cursed the man repeatedly, saying he didn't know what he was doing. He finally released Teddy when John Rambo appeared and whacked the back of his head. "What the hell do you think you were doing?"
Edgar winced. "Pod-people. They're making clones to replace us."
"Uh huh, and the reason there are some older and younger, as well as claiming entirely different identities?" asked the pissed off Rambo.
Edgar shot his brother a look, but Alan was carefully trying to pry his bloody fingers from Data's modified toy teeth. "I was trying to interrogate one of them about that," he said in his defense.
"You ever think to just talk to one of them instead of going all terrorist on them?" growled Virginia Chance who was being helped up by Stef and Andy Carmichael.
Rambo was working on reigning in his anger. "Kid, I said I would go with you to your world to teach you how to fight. But, if you can't engage your brain before you know whether someone is a foe or not, you won't survive long enough for you to become the fighter you want to be."
"You're going to teach that punk to fight?" Virginia asked, incredulously.
Rambo glanced her way. "They want to fight vampires."
"There's no such thing!" Virginia insisted.
"On some worlds there are," proclaimed Blade, who had just walked over, casually taking everything in.
"Mrs. Chance," said the man in the suit who had let Brand keep hold of Edgar. "Just look around here to see some of the things you would never find on your world. Can you really doubt vampires after you bashed in a zombie's skull to save your Maw Maw?"
Virginia actually looked embarrassed. "Well, I suppose you may be right on that, Mr. President. But I still don't want this brat to be unmanaged until he leaves here." She spotted her grandmother playing like a little kid with a strange furry alien thing with a musical horn on its head that actually honked. "Ah, as much as I would like to tear into the little beggar, I need to see to my Maw Maw, Mr. President." And with that she hurried away to get to her dementia-addled grandmother.
"Mr. President?" Indiana Jones was staring at the clean-cut man who could have his older self. "She's kidding, right?"
"No she had it right," said the man. He held out his hand to Indiana. "President James Marshall."
"Indiana Jones. Archaeologist."
"Really? I've always enjoyed reading about archaeology. I've several subscriptions. Have you found anything remarkable?"
Indiana chuckled. "A few. But I've had to sign confidentiality agreements to not speak of them."
James gave Indiana a familiar grin. "I might have clearance being the president and all."
Indiana snorted. "Yeah, sure. Though you're going to find a lot of it hard to believe."
"Have you looked around us? There are aliens and mythical creatures everywhere."
"Uh oh. There's another familiar face." Indiana hoped this would be another calm encounter.
"Mr. President, I just talked to a man who says he had once been on a manhunt for a guy named Dr. Richard Kimble who looked just like us. He turned out to be innocent, but that's another one of us somewhere out there."
President Marshall nodded. "Indiana Jones, meet Jack Ryan, a CIA analyst. Jack, this is Indiana Jones, an archeologist."
The two men shook hands and shared a similar grin.
"Oh, there's another one!" cried out Andy Carmichael in surprise.
Marshall, Jones and Ryan at first that the teenager meant them, but saw she was actually looking past them and at where The Builder was opening portals.
The portal had just allowed entry to Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia Organa. The droids C-3PO and R2-D2 were expressing their excitement at their arrival even as The Builder summoned the red-covered Boba Fett for them to bring back with them.
"Shall we go meet them before they leave?" asked President Marshall.
"Lead the way, sir," answered Ryan. Indiana happily followed along already wondering what this new person's story was going to be.
Nearby, if people listen closely, they could hear Sheldon Cooper talking about Stand by Me, The Lost Boys, The Goonies, Raising Hope, My Secret Identity, Air Force One, Patriot Games, Blade, and First Blood. Then, spotting the people who arrived at the portal, started shrilly geeking out over Star Wars. Sheldon was running toward the portal shouting for them to wait and not leave.
Edgar was trying to distract Rambo from what he had done. "That guy couldn't have really been the president. There is no way."
Rambo wasn't having it. "Kid, right before I walked over here to deal with your mess, I was talking with several physical copies of myself. Barney Ross runs his own mercenary group. Judge Dredd is a futuristic judge/jury/executioner type cop. Then there was Angelo 'Snaps' Provolone who is a 1920s gangster. Even a prize-winning boxer called Rocky Balboa. And Balboa recognized two guys here as guys he's faced in the ring. Ivan Drago who he fought has is a dead ringer for Gunner Jensen who works for Barney Ross. The other is Clubber Lang who is a copy of a guy called B.A. Baracus."
"Is there a point to this?" Edgar finally responded defensively.
"My point is to learn about your environment. Don't just go in all kill crazy because I know from too much experience that guys like that don't last long. If you really want to learn from me, you will have to heed my advice."
The boy was frowning now. "What's your kill count?"
"My kill count?"
"How many people have you killed?"
Rambo was exasperated. "I stopped counting after twenty, and that was just my first week in Vietnam. If I was to guess, it is in the hundreds. How many hundreds… I don't ever want to know. I will be talking to you, your brother, and your friend Sam about the nightmares. Because you will have them. You can't kill like that and not have nightmares. But best word of advice… don't start counting kills. In the end, you don't want to know how many you have killed. Not even if they are vampires."
Alan chuckled. "So, you're going to be our therapist, too?"
"Only until we can find a qualified one that knows about vampires."
Alan turned white and swore. "It's David!" he exclaimed in a harsh whisper.
Rambo cuffed his behind the head. "Have you heard anything I said? There are several body doubles. One of those telepath guys explained to everyone how it was due to the Q2 entity who is like a super genie that only works for himself that arranged for some people where the Borg went to be duplicates of other people in other universes. Why? Nobody knows. I think he was thumbing his nose at everyone trying to drive them crazy trying to figure it all out. There's probably hundreds or thousands of other duplicates that never made it here. Some probably died among the dinosaurs, zombies, or whatever else is out there. Regardless, everyone has their own personality. But that is enough speculation. You have work to do."
"What work?" Sam asked, hoping that Rambo just meant the Frog brothers.
"Blade's going to teach me and the Frog brothers some tools of his trade and how best to use them."
"What about him?" Alan asked, pointing at Sam who was grinning, glad to be left out of the obviously brutal training being put upon them.
"Him?" Rambo glanced at Sam. "He's got a much more deadly task."
"Wait, what now?" Sam stared with wide eyes.
"I'm teaching him personally," came a female voice.
The teens looked over to see Batgirl twirling a batarang.
"Hey! No fair!" "No way!" both Edgar and Alan called out at the same time. Rambo whapped them both in the back of the head.
"Try not to break him," Rambo said as he and Blade took the Frog brothers to a more open area and away from the crowds.
Sam swallowed a lump in his throat. "Mercy?"
Batgirl chuckled. "Not on your life. No pain, no gain is the motto of the day."
Meanwhile, Gordie and Chris were approached by a man wearing a gun belt and wore a cowboy hat. "Hey there. Spotted you with the gun. Gotta ask, do you even know how to use one?"
Gordie and Chris exchanged looks. "More or less."
He chuckled and looked back at one of his friends. "I am gonna go with less."
"I'm Chris and he's Gordie. Who are you?"
"Heh, I'm William Bonney."
Gordie's eyes widened, but Chris had a look that meant he knew he should know that name but wasn't sure.
"Some people call me Billy the Kid."
Now Chris' looked mirrored Gordie's.
"Now how's about we head over that way, and I'll show you a few things to do with a gun that will put you ahead of your friends and enemies."
Both boys nodded enthusiastically.
"Billy," asked one of Billy's friends.
"Yeah, Doc?"
"Show them what not to do first. Less accidents that way." Doc Scurlock had in front of him a bald man with his hands tied up with rope. "I'm going to take Mr. Walter White here over to see this Callen fellow that was looking for him." Doc noticed the kids starring at him. "Everything alright with you?"
Chris tried to shrug it off. "You just look like this guy we know. We know you're not him but, it is just sort of weird."
Doc nodded. "Well, this place seems to be made for weird things."
It didn't help matters when Vern and Teddy had run over only to gape at Doc.
"Not a good person then," remarked Doc.
"Merrill was… a bit of an ass and a bully," remarked Gordie, surprising himself with how blunt he had been. Especially since Merrill looks like a slightly younger version of this Doc fellow.
Billy quickly had the boys heading off with him while Doc contemplated this new information. But, not able to do anything with it, he put it aside for possible contemplation later. "Come along, Walter. Let's get you to this lawman that is looking for you."
Walter was not happy. "I know who you are. You are just as outside the law as I am."
"Not even a little," remarked Doc. "The mind fellow John, the guy who could look into people's minds and talk with them, he showed us what that stuff you make does to people. Especially long term. So don't argue with me. Billy wanted to just shoot you or feed you to those Kromagg things. Chavez wanted to scalp you and leave you to that dinosaur that chased us."
"That was a triceratops," snorted Walter, "and those particular dinosaurs are plant-eaters."
Chavez stepped in front of Walter. "It was angry enough to trample you down. Then your body would feed the ground. The plants would grow from the ground. And then the three-horn could eat of the plants. And you would be consumed by the three-horn."
Walter had rarely seen colder eyes that in Chavez. "That a little bit round-about, but I guess you can't argue with that logic."
Chavez looked to Doc. "I will see what food is available. The air tells me there is plenty of food from the cooking. I will bring it over to where Billy has gone." He then glared once more at Walter before going to do what he said.
"Hey," Doc said. "Look to find that thing John said can make things out of thin air. Billy's going to need more bullets. We are all running low after taking down those Kromaggs and that flying lizard thing you finally managed to kill."
Chavez looked into Doc's eyes and nodded his agreement. Then turned and left.
Walter had gone pale. "Is he as dangerous as he appears?"
Doc chuckled. "Just be glad he didn't do to you some of the things I've seen him do. This one bastard came to town and raped a little girl. Our group tracked him down, but it was Chavez that got to him first. It took me nearly a week before I could eat meat again."
Principal Powers had also arrived to talk to some of the newcomers, and she had a few children with her. "Hello, Andrew Clements. I am Principal Powers of Sky High, a school for superpowered youths who want to be heroes one day. I, and several others, are trying to provide some quick training before leaving here to help them out. Would you be interested in a few sessions before leaving?"
Andrew was grinning like Christmas had come early. "I'd love that!"
She smiled. "I also need to ask… are you happy in the world where you are from?"
Andrew raised a curious eyebrow. "Yes, but why are you asking?"
"There have been a few children who have been persecuted by evil men and women who wanted to exploit them or just... end them. Right now, those children are deciding which universe they would like to move to that would be best for them." She pointed over where several winged children were interacted with the X-Man known as Angel as well as Dawnstar of the Legion of Super-Heroes. "That is Max who is highest, and she will do all she can to protect her flock."
"Over there is a group that calls themselves Peculiars. On their world, they are hunted by some of their kind that… changed themselves into something more predatory from what they tell me."
They took a moment to watch as the girl named Olive heated up some large rocks with her hands. Warren Peace, one of the Sky High students, explained how he was able to push the fire from his hands. Charlie McGee was also there to watch the others. Wildfire, another member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, added his expertise to the subject. Olive tried again and was surprised to see flames jet out at nearly five feet from her fingers.
Enoch O'Connor had several dead animals in front of him. Next to him, John Constantine was explaining the different possibilities and possible shortcomings and pitfalls. Harry Dresden, a Wizard private detective from Chicago, was bringing up several alternative things he could try, and even brought out Bob, a spirit with an encyclopedic knowledge of magic that was bound in a Human skull that Harry had brought with him. It became a little bit of a problem at that point when Enoch tried to take claim over Bob several times before giving up. Constantine was amused. Dresden wanted to spank the brat. Bob suggested melting Enoch's teeth, which is the main reason Enoch gave up on gaining such a large repository of arcane wealth.
Horace Somnusso was sitting under a tree with Luna Lovegood talking about his dreams and how to interpret them. He found it a bit confusing, but some things were making more sense now. It was nice to have someone who seemed to understand at least part of how his gift works.
Bronwyn Bruntley was wrestling with Princess from Zoom Academy. Both girls were happy to cut loose and use all of their strength. They were also glad to have teachers that understood what they needed to watch for when grappling with someone as strong as them. Hercules and Xena were instructing the two girls how to best use their strength in such situations, with a few shocked Klingons for an audience.
Fiona Frauenfeld was being shown different ways to grow and control plants by Layla Williams. Neville Longbottom was there pointing out things to the girls for consideration. Even the plant-alien Groot showed them some things they hadn't considered about how plants work. Groot, when asked, gave Neville several twigs to take to see if Ollivander could fashion them into wands.
Millard Nullings and Jacob Portman were being instructed by a recently arrived Houdini from Zoom Academy and Mandrake the Magician. Millard hoped to at least make his cloths invisible, and Jacob hoped that his being able to see invisible things could be expanded upon. Millard and Jacob didn't learn much from Mandrake, but Houdini did and wished he had more time to spend studying under the man.
Marsha Holloway had just been called over and was being introduced to Emma Bloom. Soon Marsha had Emma blowing with greater wind power, but not the same as she did.
All-American Boy, another Sky High teacher, was having Hugh Apiston have his bees that live inside of him fly through a flying race course and various hurdles to measure his control over the bees.
Claire Densmore who was also one of the Peculiar children laughed and danced with Uni the unicorn as she watched the others with the very large Ludo, who had been asked to wait there by Luna Lovegood. Presto, the Magician, used his magic hat to provide a large amount of popcorn for Ludo and anyone else. He also created a large drink and straw for Ludo to use much to the large creature's delight.
Miss Peregrine was in conversation with Dr. Grant from Zoom Academy, Jetstream who was representing Sky High until Principal Powers was available, Beast of the X-Men, Mon-El of the Legion of Super-Heroes, Mina Harker stood up for the League of Extra-ordinary Gentlemen, and a just arrived Hermione Granger who represented Hogwarts. They were trying to determine where the best place the children should go since it would be extremely dangerous to go back to their home worlds.
There were more than just the children that Miss Peregrine had with her. There was also the young girl called Eleven, and another named Charlie McGee that were under consideration. None of them wanted the children to be on their own. Homes would be best but training them with their powers was also necessary. Hermione was willing to take any magical children back to Hogwarts, but there did not seem to be any. She stayed partially out of curiosity, partially as an impartial judge if there was a split decision.
None of the Peculiar children wanted to go back to their reality. Charlie McGee didn't want to go back either. Eleven, however, did want to go back since that is where her boyfriend, Mike Wheeler, and their other friends were.
Mon-El suggested that Eleven spend some time with Saturn Girl before she went home, so that she could learn some safe mental practice exercises. Eleven, who had been having some girl time with some new friends, playing with their new fire-lizards and eating ice cream, asked for another hour, but was interested in the plan.
The group of decision makers were surprised when Gomez and Morticia Addams came over from where they had been talking with some of the children to say they were interested in adopting Enoch O'Connor and Claire Densmore. Both children were thrilled with having someone actually wanted them and didn't consider them freaks. Enoch was even told that Gram-mama Addams could even help get his little creations going around even faster with some of her recipes, and likely last longer, too. Claire was worried that they might not want her because of her second mouth on the back of her head. Morticia hugged the little girl and told her not to worry and that she would always have enough eat for both mouths.
When Charlie McGee was asked her preference, she chose the 30th century with the Legion of Super-Heroes and wanted to take part in their Legion Academy. She hoped to be a hero some day and make her parents proud of her.
Max Ride, the leader of her flock, when asked, chose Sky High for her group. She admitted that part of the appeal was that the school was floating up in the sky.
Fiona Frauenfeld also decided to go to Sky High after befriending Layla Williams who has similar powers as herself.
Millard Nullings chose to go with the League of Extra-ordinary Gentlemen. The League had lost their Invisible Man during the fighting, so there was an opening. And Millard came from a few decades before them in their time period, so he had a good idea of what to anticipate historically, which he planned to exploit as needed. Horace Somnusson decided to join Millard there as he determined that the League would need his ability to see the future in his dreams.
Olive Elephanta wanted to go and join Zoom Academy. She pointed out that they didn't have anyone who could control fire, and she thought that Zoom's brother, Concussion, was cute.
After several questions, Bronwyn Bruntley asked to go with the X-Men to join Professor X's school where she could just be herself. Hugh Apiston, having listened to what was said about the students at the Xavier Institute, thought he could really fit in there more easily than anywhere else.
When it was Emma Bloom's turn to decide, she glanced at Miss Peregrine and asked what she planned to do now.
Miss Peregrine stated now that she had passed on her children, she was preparing to go back to their world and see about finding other Peculiar children in need of her. Emma Bloom glanced at her boyfriend, Jacob Portman, who nodded his silent agreement with her. They then informed her that they were going back with her to save more Peculiar children.
Miss Peregrine tried to dissuade them, but they were adamant, and she finally accepted them in her mission.

A horse and a mule slowly walked into the new area. On the horse was a young girl nicknamed Punky, and following them was her dog, Brandon.
The horse turned to look at the mule. "Well, what do you think, Francis?"
The mule's ears twitched. "It appears to not have any equestrians around, Ed. And I am not counting that centaur jerk. What was his name… Carl? Cory? Charlie?"
"It was Chester," Punky answered. "And he was rather full of himself. He didn't like Brandon. People that don't like Brandon are usually people that are not nice or just have issues."
"You're pretty smart for a Human," said Mr. Ed.
"Thank you. And you're pretty smart for a horse."
The mule cleared his throat.
Punky smiled. "And Francis is pretty smart for a mule."
"Darn tootin' I am!"
"Hey! Wait up!"
Francis looked back the way they had come. "Uh oh, it's that nitwit again."
"Be nice," said Punky.
Andy Dwyer came to a stop gasping for air. "Man, you guys must not have heard us when we said April need to go and find a place to pee."
"Oh, we heard you," stated Mr. Ed.
"We just wanted to see how clear the way was to get to the others," Punky added, diplomatically.
"Oh, cool. I've never met talking animals before, and I'd hate to lose you both so soon after meeting you. Plus, I still need you to talk in front of April, Leslie, and Ron, or they are going to think I've gone crazy or hit my head again." Andy grinned as he looked and took in the sights. He gapped as they all did to see in the distance as Apache Chief showed Giant Man the best ways to fight as a giant as well as how to be aware of their surrounding and not crush innocent pedestrians. "They got giants! This place is awesome!"
"Quill!"
Andy grinned. "They have talking raccoons, too!"
Rocket stormed over with his overly large gun strapped to his back. "When did you get here? Where is Drax and Gamora? I'd even be happy to see Mantis at this point. And what is with the stupid clothes?"
"I think he's talking to me!"
Rocket stopped, then looked from Andy to Punky and the horse and mule. He sighed. "You want me to use the name, don't you. Fine. Just so you can impress the kid." He sighed in exasperation. "Star-Lord, where is everyone?"
Andy looked in wide-eyed exhortation. " 'Star-Lord'? Is that some kind of princely title that is supposed to refer to me?" He gasped loudly. "Am I actually an alien prince left on Earth until it was safe to return me to my rightful kingdom?"
Rocket tilted his head as he regarded Andy. "You're not Peter Quill, are you?"
"He's Andy Dryer," Punky said, trying to ease the misunderstanding.
"It's Andy 'Dwyer'," stated Mr. Ed.
Rocket was surprised. "Huh, I took you two for domesticated animals."
"Not likely," snorted Francis. "Domestication is for wimps."
Rocket considered them for a moment. "Were you two forcibly experimented on to get you to talk and think?"
Francis and Ed actually looked at each other in surprise. Then they turned back to Rocket. "Nope," expressed Francis. "Just started talking. Felt the need to give a piece of my mind, you know."
"I can get behind that mentality," Rocket acknowledged.
"Hey, what about me, little raccoon guy?" asked Andy.
Rocket had his gun out and was pointing it directly at Andy. "Don't call a raccoon, guy-who-isn't-Peter Quill. Be glad I don't murder you in front of the nice, young girl."
"But you called me 'Star-Lord'."
"Mistakes were made. Get over it if you want to live."
Punky grimaced. "Can you not kill him? Please?"
Rocket regarded her. "Fine. You're a cute kid. And respectful. Hey, I bet you'd love to meet Groot! C'mon and I'll introduce you to the sap." He stopped and pointed his gun at Andy again. "You, Mr. Not-Star-Lord, can stay right here."
Andy watched as the talking raccoon left with the talking horse and talking mule as well as the little girl and her dog. Andy consoled himself with the fact that at least the dog didn't talk.
"Andy, why did you go so far ahead?"
Andy glanced back to see Leslie Knope walking up with Ron Swanson and April Ludgate. "Ah, well, I was hoping to get the talking horse and mule to talk with you, but a talking raccoon came up and pulled a giant gun on me because I wasn't a star-lord."
Ron walked up to look him in the eyes. "Did you hit your head again, son?"
"No. You at least see the giants wrestling, right?" Andy went to point, but Apache Chief and Giant Man had already shrunk by that point.
"Son, there are a lot of weird events going on. Most likely due to people holding a mushroom festival without verifying that all of the mushrooms are safe for consumption."
Leslie groaned in annoyance. "Ron, I swear that all of the mushrooms were cleared by a specialist. The mushroom sauce on our burgers would not have caused us all to have the same hallucination anyway."
Ron snorted. "And yet here we are."
April walked by Ron and Leslie to get to her husband. She had her hand held on the inside of her coat. "Guess what I found?"
"Is it more fantastic that a talking horse, donkey, or raccoon?"
She nodded with a Cheshire grin.
"Really? Show me," he said eagerly.
Pulling out her hand revealed that there was a tiny, dragon-like creature wrapped around her wrist, her thumb gently stroking the side of its head.
"Holy…!" He gaped for a few seconds. "Does this make you the 'Mother of Dragons' like on that one show on HBO?"
April, liking that thought, nodded with a gleam in her eyes. "I figure we can start him out training him to take out the bats in the attic. Later, we can train him to take out the raccoons and possums that infest Pawnee. Shortly, after that, we can rule the town!"
Andy frowned. "I dunno. If there is one thing I've learned working in politics, it's that being in charge of more and more people makes for more headaches and it wastes all the time you could be using to do whatever you really want to do. Besides, our friends live there. And I think Leslie wants to rule Pawnee."
April frowned, but had to agree with him. "Fine. We won't try and take over Pawnee. But Eagleton is still a possibility. We will just wait until Junior here is big enough before we decide."
Andy nodded.
"What do you two have over there?" asked Leslie.
April put the fire-lizard back into the inner part of her coat. "Nothing." She glanced for a distraction. "Is that an open bar over there?"
Ron's turned to see Captain Jack Sparrow merrily singing a sea ditty while pouring more blood-wine into Conan's goblet. "I will investigate." And Ron was off.
"Oh no! Ron! Ronnnnn!" Leslie went after him.
Andy grinned at his wife. "I saw what you did there."
April grinned as she brought out the fire-lizard and kissed it on the top of its head. "It's like I can feel its emotions."
"And that's good, right?"
"Yes."

Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 stopped and considered the situation, then turned to Agent Phil Coulson. "Now that we have most of the group here, I will go back to look for stragglers or any predators that are coming after them."
"I can go with him," Agent Melinda May volunteered.
Coulson thought about it for only a moment before agreeing. "Take Skye with you."
May frowned just a little. Coulson figured correctly that May liked this John-117 and was hoping to get some quality talking time with him. It wasn't that Coulson was against that, but he did want them all safe first before they relaxed. Besides, this whole situation was great for Skye to get more experience.
Agent Daisy Johnson, known as 'Skye' to those who were close to her, nodded and made to return the way she had just come.
"What should we do?" asked Jemma Simmons.
"We could collect data from all over," added Leo Fitz. "There are so many things we could learn and take back with us, and…-Oh look! There's Captain American! And there's the Thing!"
Coulson patted Fitz on the shoulder to stop him from going on and on. "I will consult with the Avengers. You two can go see what you can learn. Whether it is more of what happened here or gaining new scientific incites I leave up to you to decide. Just be ready to drop everything and come running if I call to you."
The two scientists looked as if Christmas had come early. They both started speaking to each other about different things that had caught their eye. Coulson gave an amused shake of his head and headed for Captain America.

Olivia 'Liv' Moore grunted as she eased Nick Burkhardt to the ground. "There. We should be safe now and there are probably some medical people here that can set that leg."
Nick sucked air in through his teeth. "The sooner the better."
A tall figure with long white hair spoke. "We should deal with this lich."
"What did I say about the name-calling?" barked Liv.
Geralt of Rivia just pointed his sword at her.
"She's not like those other zombies," Nick interceded. "She saved my life, for crying out loud."
"Perhaps she wanted to eat you all herself," countered Geralt.
Nick groaned in frustration and pain. "I've had to deal with this weird crap a lot these last few years. I'm telling you she isn't some mindless monster."
"And when her hunger comes upon her? What then?"
Liv chuckled at that. "Is that what you're worried about? I work in a coroner's office. I satisfy my hunger with some of the brains that come in. And if they had been killed by somebody, I can use some of the memories in the brain to help solve the case and get the killers arrested in the name of justice and all that."
"A ghoul," Geralt frowned, his opinion of her dropping.
"And she helps take down the real killers," Nick added. Then something caught Nick's eye. "And if you really don't trust her, then bring over that woman with the glowing rope. If that is who I think it is, it's Wonder Woman. And her rope, when it is around you, you cannot lie. The magic won't let you."
Geralt looked from Liv and then to Wonder Woman. "How do you know this about the rope?"
Nick looked exasperated for a second. "It's legendary."
"I cannot leave her alone with you."
"Hello, how are you and out of curiosity why are you pointing your sword at the very beautiful young lady?"
The skinny man was grinning at Liv who was wondering why this guy was trying now of all times to make a pass at her. Behind him was a redheaded woman and a tall brunette man who looked uneasy about the situation.
"Barney," said the man. "Maybe this isn't the best time to… interact. Besides, I smell meat cooking up ahead."
The woman added her plea. "You know how Marshall gets if he hasn't eaten."
Barney grinned even more. "I know, Lily. How he acts when he hasn't eaten is legendary."
Geralt looked hard at the two men. "I will leave the creature and the wounded man in your care until I return with the woman with the glowing rope."
"Creature?" asked Marshall.
"-of my dreams," added Barney, as he gave a flirtatious wave at Liv.
"Oh my goodness!" Lily grabbed onto Marshall's arm so hard he almost cried out. "Over there! That's Wonder Woman!"
"You know of this woman with the rope?" asked Geralt as he studied this woman with arms and legs bare but who could only be a true warrior.
"I dressed as her for Halloween as a kid twice, and again at college, and then when Marshall asked me-"
"We don't need to go into that much detail," interrupted Marshall.
Geralt was tired of the strange couple already. Something about the redhead told him she could talk for hours. "Just keep her here. I will be back with the woman with the glowing rope."
Barney was sidling over to the white-haired woman. "Hello, gorgeous. I don't think your sword-wielding friend likes you all that much."
Liv shrugged. "I guess I have that effect on some men."
"Not on me," Barney said with a grin.
"Would that fact that I have a boyfriend matter at all to you?"
Barney shook his head slightly. "Not really."
Liv glanced over to Nick. Nick shrugged. "I almost think you eating him might be good for society as well as the gene pool."
She considered agreeing with him. "I prefer not to kill. I don't think I want to give in to that just for this guy."
"Hey, uh, what is this about eating someone?" asked Lily, hoping this wasn't some kind of sex slang thing.
Nick pointed to Liv. "She's a zombie."
Marshall's eyes widened. "Like those things that chased us and were stopped by that dinosaur."
"I'm not that kind of zombie," she said. "As long as I get my food, I am safe. And I work in a morgue, so there is always someone to nibble on."
"Oh really," Barney came a little closer. "I like role-playing, too."
Lily, unable to take, went forward, grabbed Barney's ear and pulled him away. "She's not role-playing, you idiot! She's not using any innuendos! Now stay away and behave if you want to live!"
"Ow! Ear! Ow! Ear! Marshall! Help!"
Marshall just raised his hands. "Nope! I'm just thinking of giving you one of my slaps."
"Dear lord, Marshall! I'm good! You don't have to go that far!" Fear was clearly evident in Barney's voice. "Making passes at the ladies is my comfort zone. I'm just trying to ease off the stress of this crazy day."
Liv snorted. "I don't think I am interested in easing your stress today or any other. You need to fish somewhere else if that is your game."
"Fine." Barney rubbed his ear after it had been released. "I can tell when I am not wanted." He spotted a brunette woman walking by in strange metal bikini that seemed to join as a type of a blade that covered most of her arm. "I wonder if she likes fishing." He began trotting after the woman before Marshall could grab him.
"Oh ho ho ho!" Liv chuckled. "I'd go after him if I were you."
"Why?" asked Lily.
"Because he is about to hit on Sara Pezzini, otherwise known as Witchblade. And she's a cop, as well."
Marshall was gaping. "She's a cop?"
"If I remember the comic book right, then yes. And she is also ten times more dangerous than me."
Lily grabbed Marshall's hand. "Go get Barney!"
"But the sword guy said-"
"Go get Barney and next Halloween I will dress in a Witchblade outfit."
Marshall looked from his wife to Witchblade and then back again. "Baby, you are the best!" With a quick kiss, he was off and running.
Liv laughed. "You know, if I didn't already have a boyfriend, I'd ask if he had a brother that was available."
"Wait, your boyfriend isn't a zombie as well?" remarked Nick.
"Wow! That's rather racist," snarked Liv.
"No, it's not!"
They were interrupted by a new arrival.
"Hey, Wills. I thought you were chatting with the mystic crowd."
Lily looked at the newcomer who seemed to be cosplaying as a Jedi. "Are you talking to me?"
Xander Harris realized that he had made a mistake. "You're not Willow! You're a doppelganger!"
"A what?" Lily asked, becoming more and more perplexed wondering if she should feel insulted.
Xander took a second, then began to explain how there were several people that had been brought to the Land of the Lost that had doubles with totally different lives, and sometimes came from different centuries, and even different planets. In his head, Xander was already looking forward to introducing Willow to her carbon copy.

Dwight Schrute held the massive beet with both arms around the vegetable. "Michael, the seeds from this beet is going to put the Schrute farm on the map for all vegetable aficionados. I may even become a millionaire. Maybe a multi-millionaire!"
Michael Scott was not interested. He'd almost been eaten by some mutant aliens that some people called Morlocks, but a New Yorker by the name of Doug Heffernan led him and a couple others out of that trap. And then Michael had to escaped from being eaten by a dinosaur, but a man named Sam Malone helped by pulling him along at a run into the trees. Only to then be set upon by from Kromaggs who chased him into a crowd of zombies. Fortunately, the zombies and Kromaggs were more interested in fighting each other so he was able to escape. Fortunately, an eighteen-year-old kid claiming to be from Bel-Air, California named Will Smith helped him scale a rock wall. Only then did he find Dwight who was shining a massive beet he had found growing in this horrible place.
"I've come to realize something after having my life flash before my eyes several times in one day."
"What's that?" asked Dwight.
"I need to get better shoes. And I need to take up running. My body wants to collapse."
Dwight nodded in understanding. "Don't give into it, Michael. You have to show your body who is in charge. Just like at the office, you must prove you are in charge. You must make your body submit to your every whim!"
Michael nodded. "You're right. I just hope I don't die in the process."
"That's always a risk," Dwight admitted.
"I think it's too late." Michael waved his arm at the surrounding. "It's clearly the end of the world."
Dwight stopped and placed a hand on Michael's shoulder. "No, there's always hope. I mean, look at me. My life just got better because I found this wonderful beet. Maybe we will find your wonderful thing just around the corner."
Michael was still for a moment, then looked up with a furious face. In a second, he lunged for Dwight's beet.
"No! Michael!" Dwight struggled to get the beet from Michael. "This is not the way! You're squishing it!"
Kunta Kinte watched the two white men fight over the vegetable. He had learned long ago that most white men were crazy. Some were mean or just evil, and others would not recognize a snake was dangerous until it bit them. He had only been a slave for the white men for only a few years, but they still seemed so alien to him. He had heard of other tribes capturing people and selling them to the white men who took them on their enormous boats. Now he knew where all those people had been sent.
But on his latest escape attempt, Kunta had somehow come to this strange place. There were many white people here, but also black ones, too. But the black ones were not treated like he and the others were. For some reason things were different here, and Kunta did not know why that was. He was glad of it. There were also other kinds of people, too. And some things that were not people but were intelligent.
"Hey! Hey! Kunta! You hear me?"
Kunta regarded the young man who had befriended him. "Yes." That was one of the first words that he had learned of English.
"Good. So, this place is safe I'm told. We are going to get something to eat and … well, figure out what we should do next." Will wished he was back at Bel-Air with his family. He'd only been taking a look in a strange pylon thing near the mall. He knew he shouldn't have gone inside, but it was like it was calling to him in a way. Next thing he knew he was being chased by some strong alien dudes and also some freakin' zombies. If that wasn't enough, he found Kunta who had been caught in quicksand. Pulling him out, and seeing the marks on his back, plus seeing dinosaurs and people from several different time periods, let him know that Kunta was a slave from before the 1860s. And with the looks Kunta kept shooting about made Will think Kunta was actually an escaped slave. Being black and having been helped by his family despite all the craziness he brought with him, Will was determined to help Kunta however he could.
Will looked up for a moment. "God, I don't know if I somehow died and this is hell, or some kind of weird purgatory, but if I am alive and this is just some kind of Sci-Fi Channel screwup, well, help. I mean it. We need some serious help. Both me and Kunta and everyone else here." He glanced around to see if anyone besides Kunta was listening. "I'll even try and read your book. Even the boring parts that I can't make sense of. Maybe I can even find someone to explain those parts to me. But the thing is, I can't read your book if I am stuck here. There is no one waving a bible here that I have seen. So I really have to go back to do it." He gave another quick look around. "Also, I'd like to take Kunta back with me. Or send him back to his family in Africa." He blew out a lot of air and sighed. He gave Kunta a grin. "Well, it's up to the big man upstairs now."
Kunta was staring upwards and pointed up at several people that were actually flying.
"Man, I wish I could do that. And why isn't there any black superheroes up there?" He paused as his breath caught at the sight of Static Shock and Storm zip through the air. There was a blast of electricity as the Black Vulcan went to chase off some pterodactyls that were getting too close. He also saw another superhero by the name of Superstretch extending himself up into the trees to harvest some cocoanuts.
"Maybe this place isn't so bad after all."
THE BORG VESSEL ORBITING THE EARTH
Q sulked about in the interior of the Borg ship, adrenalin making him less and less sure of his plan. He wiped his forehead of the sweat that was about to pore into his eyes, becoming more and more disgusted with his Human form. "Why do they need to keep it so damn hot and humid in here?" All in all he was just griping, as he knew that the planet that the Borg had originated from was both hot and humid, and as such they kept that climate as their median.
Regardless of his uncertainty, he continued walking through the empty corridors in his attempt to find a drone, which was proving more difficult than he would have believed. "I knew they sent out a large number of drones throughout the multiverse; I just didn't know they had depleted most of the numbers on their ship."
And so he trudged on through the seemingly endless passageways. It was several more minutes before he found what he was looking for.
Two drones were working at a series of gestation chambers. There were several two-foot by two-foot cubes with glass walls that displayed humanoid fetuses of various species covered in a thin web of grey circuitry.
"Growing the next generation of drones, eh? I'm guessing that those containers accelerate the growth rate. And since one of those Borg babies are Jem'Hadar, I can guess they are some of those who you recently assimilated your genetically-engineering technology from." Q allowed a smirk to cross his face to try hide the vulnerability he was experiencing. He hadn't heard of the Dominion encountering the Borg, but it could have been a very recent thing.
He stood there for a moment waiting for either of the drones to acknowledge him, but to his surprise he was ignored. "Oh, come on! I came all this way, and this is how you are going to treat me! Take me to your leader already!"
He came around one of the drones and noted he had four arms. "Hmm, a Terellian. I guess the extra arms would help with baby-caring duty." The other drone was of a more generic style humanoid so he was unable to distinguish her species of origin. "Not that these children will ever really have anything like a real childhood."
He stood there for a moment for a moment. "I'm waiting!" he yelled, but still garnished no response from the drones. "Very well. I'll just have to use the Sisko and Picard method of diplomacy." That said, he drew back his fist and swung as hard as he could at the Terellian's head.
Q nearly fell to the floor in agony as he had forgotten to take into account the drone's denser state, thereby not factoring in the pain it would cause his knuckles; it made it even harder to bare when he realized that he had broken his thumb because he had had it closed around his fingers when he had made a fist. "How is it this never seemed to bother Sisko or Picard when they hit me?" he bemoaned just before noticing the drone that was now turned to him. "Do I have your attention now?" he responded snarkily.
The drone's response was to thrust two tubules to the side of Q's neck, injecting him with Borg nano-probes.
"I guess so then," Q managed to say before passing out.
¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`
"How was this allowed to happen?" The anger was clearly evident in Guinan's voice. "How did any of you think that it was a good idea to leave Q alone?"
Admiral Owen Paris was about to remind her of who she was addressing when he caught the subtle hand gesture for him not to verbally lash back at her. That and quickly reminding himself that even Q was afraid of this woman, made him temper his response. "He said he had a possibility for taking down the Borg, that he needed some privacy to think about it."
"He was just kicked out of the Continuum! He went from nearly omnipotent to less than you! If anything, he was suicidal! And the one thing you do not do is leave an unstable person alone!" She was furious. At them for making such a boneheaded decision, and herself for not watching Q more closely. No matter the situation, you could always expect Q to do the unexpected. Damn him.
"He wasn't suicidal," remarked Captain Sisko. "He's just following some cockamamie idea that popped into his head."
"You think he is the first person to try death by way of the Borg? Plenty of people on invaded planets have gone that route before, so why not now?" She glowered at the man. In truth, she could forgive Paris and Sisko for their mistakes, but Picard and Janeway both have a greater history with Q. They should have known better.
The hand that came to rest on her shoulder had a calming effect on her. David Banner, a persecuted man in his home universe for a crime he didn't commit and a condition that turned him into a near-mindless, angry, green juggernaut that he had no control over, had come to Deep Space Nine when the away team that had been on his world returned. She had taken an instant shine to the man, and fortunately, he seemed to feel likewise. They hadn't known each other long and yet there was some connection that neither could deny.
"None of us can change what has already happened," David said calmly, "but maybe they can tell us if they found out anything else." He then nodded to Picard, as if giving him his cue to supply answers.
"Yes, let me call Data who we have checking over all the files that Q looked into. Hopefully he has found some correlations that we can extract some possibilities from. Or maybe even a message from Q telling what he was going to attempt doing."
While Picard put a call in to Data, Guinan went to the replicator and ordered a form of tea from her home world as well as an iced coffee with peppermint creamer for David. She had seen David order a regular coffee before with a bit of cream, and instantly decided to expand his palate to the variety that is offered in the twenty-fourth century, starting with drinks found on Earth first and later escalating to beverages from other worlds. The bartender in her was thrilled at being able to introduce him to the variety available to him. It helped that he thought her insistence on having him try new drinks was adorable.
As they sipped their drinks, Picard was asking Data if he had learned anything of what Q had been up to.
"Q seemed to center most of his searches for theoretic studies on how the Borg Collective function, and the role of the Borg Queen. There was also considerable research on communication relays of subspace transmissions found in all drones. I am given to conclude that he has somehow found a way to disrupt communication between the drones and the Collective."
"He found a way to do that?" Janeway said as more of a rhetorical exclamation than anything else.
"I cannot be certain as Q seemed to only research and not make any reports of his own," Data neatly replied.
"I see," Picard said, leaning back in his chair. "Please carry on with examining everything Q looked up, Data, and then get together with Geordi to see how Q might be using that information against the Borg. If there is anyone else you want to consult with, you have my permission to pull them from whatever duties they are on now. Picard out."
They sat there in silence for a moment, before Banner asked the pertinent question, "What now?"
Sisko looked up from his PADD. "Now we wait."
Admiral Paris let out a grunt as he repositioned himself in his chair. "I hate waiting."
Sisko let out a heavy sigh. "Then I have something that you might want to look into. Nicholas Locarno is your nephew, right?"
Admiral Owen Paris glanced at him and then to the PADD in Sisko's hand. He wasn't the only one as Picard also knew of Nicholas Locarno.
"Locarno? He was kicked out of Starfleet Academy; what is he doing here?" anger evident on Picard's face. Locarno had been responsible for his team of cadets and having them do an illegal flying formation that had resulted in the death of one of the cadets. Not wanting to be blamed, Locarno had bullied the other cadets, one of which was Wesley Crusher, into covering up the blame for the cadet's death.
Owen let out a groan and rubbed his forehead as he felt his headache growing. "It had been a few years, and my sister had been pushing me to get him to be reinstated to the Academy. I thought he had learned his lesson, so I decided to give him a chance. I warned him that it would be his only chance so he couldn't screw it up or I'd wash my hands of him."
Picard decided to hold his chosen comments for a moment. Instead, he asked Sisko, "What did he do?"
"He was part of one of the groups exploring the Land of the Lost. His group was one of the ones that went out the farthest." He tapped his PADD a few times and the large viewscreen on the wall began to show the outline of a spaceship lit up by a series of lights that could have been a constellation outline or a connect-the-dots sketch. "He found a rather unique vessel that had crashed in a misty marsh. He pushed the team to collect whatever salvage they could to bring back with them, but forgot one important thing."
"Let me guess," Guinan interjected. "The crew of the vessel?"
"A crew of one, yes." Sisko nodded. The screen now showed a collection of lights that formed the shape of a humanoid figure. "The Zarn as he calls himself defended his ship. Locarno was severely injured."
"He was trying to make a name for himself again," Picard coldly accused.
"That's how I see it, too," Paris admitted. "But I'd like to reserve judgment until I can hear from the others in his group."
"That is wise since we don't know everything right now," pointed out Guinan and then took a sip of her tea.
"Is there a rescue party?" Janeway asked.
"It's been already handled." Sisko taped the PADD again, and this time they could see The Builder sending the Zarn and ship through a portal to return to wherever the Zarn's home was.
Another tap on the PADD showed the team that had been the Zarn's prisoners, having their bodies go back in time to before they were injured.
"There will be a review of their actions," Picard swore. Paris nodded but said nothing else.
"Anything else that we should know?" asked Janeway. She spotted David Banner rubbing Guinan's shoulders, and immediately wished she had someone to work out the knots in her own shoulders.
Sisko nodded. "That all happened about a half hour ago. The threshold between the holodeck and microverse that is the Land of the Lost ended about three minutes ago."
"Did everyone make it back?" With the Q Continuum sealing up their universe so that the Borg cannot try to take over the multiverse again, someone getting left behind was a permanent thing.
Sisko snorted. "My son was one of the last to return. I'll have to talk to him about cutting it close like that." He gave the PADD a few more times. "Khan Noonien Singh and Sela never came back through the threshold, so we don't have to worry about them anymore."
Kathryn Janeway leaned over in her chair. "I don't like the thought that we left two potentially dangerous people for someone else to have to deal with."
"I don't believe he meant it that way," Picard mentioned. "I think that this Builder person will be keeping a close eye on them."
"Who else didn't make the return to our universe?" Guinan asked quietly. She knew that they all knew that she was diverting the conversation, but she knew that they would be more interested in who might have been left behind to argue the point. "And does anyone know if it was by choice?"
Picard cleared his throat. "I was informed by my chief engineer, Lt. La Forge, that Commander Montgomery Scott has chosen to return back to the reality that he had helped fight the Borg on. The one where the Borg had invaded a local law enforcement conference." He glanced at the others. "He said he was useful there, while here he was just an old, unneeded fossil. He already had several students there and he wanted to get back to them." He looked a little uncomfortable. "That said, he took a replicator and several objects he obtained after the fighting back with him."
Admiral Paris looked furious for a moment, but decided there was nothing he could do about it at this point.
Sisko gave a slight nod to Guinan. They needed something to focus on until either they had more information about what Q was up to or the Borg were finally freed to attack Earth, this was as good as any to work on.
"You remember Vash?"
A look of surprise crossed Picard's face while Sisko nodded. It was Janeway that spoke. "Wasn't she the archeological thief that one of the Qs chose to send on the third venture against the Borg?"
"Good memory," Guinan nodded. "She sent back a message saying that she wanted to explore some more. And that knowing that our universe was going to be closed off to all the others made her realize that she wanted to travel further."
David Banner shook his head in disbelief. "She really thought one universe was too small to explore?"
Sisko shook his head. "It's more likely that she thought her reputation as a tomb raider was becoming more of a hindrance now that she was more well known."
Picard wanted to defend her, as he would any woman that he had been romantically involved with, no matter how fleeting, but she really was a wild card, and had definite ties to the black market in regards to archeological treasures. "Whatever her reason, she has made her choice. Now has anyone else not returned?"
Guinan tapped her PADD and sat up in surprise. "Oh my, yes. Exactly two more."
It took a lot to surprise Guinan, and it had been quite a while since he'd seen her this caught off guard. "Guinan, who is it?"
Guinan's eyes glanced into each of the eyes of those in the room before finally returning to Picard's. "Jean-Luc, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but Lwaxana decided to stay behind."
Picard froze as he tried to incorporate this news. Deanna Troi's flirtatious mother, an ambassador of the Federation. She was brilliant and baffling all in one. Those opposed to her rarely stood a chance. "I need to call Deanna, her daughter. Somehow explain to her-"
"She already saw to it," Guinan went on to explain. "Lwaxana sent a quick resignation to Starfleet, a delayed message to you, and spent the last fifteen minutes before the threshold closed talking with her daughter."
Picard's stoic face became like stone. "I see."
"Do you?" she asked in that tone of hers that makes it so easy to talk to her.
He looked. "Yes. It's that doppelganger of mine that we met; that Charles Xavier."
Admiral Paris wasn't sure of the emotional undercurrent that was suddenly in the room, but he was determined that they deal with it quickly. "That's the Human mutant, a powerful telepath if I'm not mistaken."
"The most powerful telepath that I've ever encountered," Guinan added. "She and Xavier really hit it off. And I have to say that I really think they could be good for one another. I really don't think you need to worry about her being unhappy with her choice."
Picard caught the hint from Guinan to let it go, and nodded in acknowledgment. It went without saying that Guinan's feelings about things were generally correct, which he knew from personal experience. He often wondered why she didn't use her natural skills as an ambassador, a position he felt she would be brilliant in. While he thought she could handle the pressure, he figured she didn't want to have to comply to orders that she might not agree with. He knew that some people become their worst selves when they get involved in politics. She evidently knew better than to become that person.
"Who was the last person to stay?" Admiral Paris asked.
Picard straightened up. "It's my guess that Lwaxana's aid, Mr. Homn, stayed with her."
Guinan smiled. "You guessed right. He also sent several quick messages to relatives and friends right up to the time the threshold ended."
"At least they had that," David Banner commented. He was feeling very out of place here, yet stayed at Guinan's insistence. He had a feeling it had to do with those amorous Klingon women that had taken to stalking him, hoping he would change into his Hulk persona. He'd even been attacked twice in an attempt to get him to change forms so they could take advantage of him. The very idea he found disturbing on several levels.
Sisko's PADD let out a beep. As Benjamin began reading the data, he raised his hand to get the others attention. "O'Brien sent some of those results we were waiting for. As we suspected, sending a large freighter at warp speed directly at the Borg vessel would prove detrimental to Earth as the Borg are at too low an orbit. At the very least, the blast might level a continent or two, plus it could very likely throw the Earth off its orbit around the sun."
Picard was looking at his own PADD. "La Forge seems to think he can have a series of jamming devices to block the stream of subspace transmissions used by the Borg. But he can't guarantee that the Borg won't be able to adapt around that, though he is trying to compensate for alternate transmissions."
"Have Mr. La Forge contact Seven of Nine." Janeway poured herself a drink. "I believe she has wrapped up her project and should be available for consultation. I'm sure that her personal insights would be more valuable than all the research you have."
"They've already talked." Picard tapped his PADD, which had the large screen in the room show the display of a new type of personnel armor. "He has her constructing a new type of battle suit based off of the designs of some of our new acquaintances, specifically Iron Man and Buzz Lightyear."
Janeway nodded, before turning to Owen Paris. "I overheard your son talking to B'Elanna about designing some vessels to come together like that giant humanoid vessel called Voltron. He also took a lot of scans from the damaged Decepticons to possibly incorporate designs from them."
The admiral felt a shiver. "My son controlling a giant robot vessel made for fighting. My God, we would be at war with the Klingons and Romulans before the day was out."
Picard chuckled. "You think that's something? Worf managed to get the specs on something he calls a lightsaber which is basically a sword of light that can cut through most anything instantaneously."
Janeway rubbed at her temples, trying to ease away a progressing headache. "Hearing all this makes me wish to go back to the simple days just trying to survive in the Delta quadrant."
The door opened as Admiral Leonard McCoy entered. "Sorry about that. I'm still getting used to having a younger intestinal tract. It's not quite agreeing with the food I've been trying out."
Admiral Paris groaned. "Bones, I'm glad that you are enjoying being younger, but that doesn't mean you have to share everything with us."
McCoy just smirked and hopped into an open seat. "Sure, sure. So, anything new happen while I was back taking care of business?"

Q became aware while lying on a hard, raised surface, with two drones standing over him, along with the Borg Queen. His body ached all over from where the nanoprobes had torn through his body as they setup their new control network. He had no doubt that his own face was sickly gray and showed the webwork markings of the nanites doing the biding of the Borg. As it was, he couldn't move at all.
He was surprisingly coherent, a fact he attributed more to the Borg Queen's desire to have a face to face before absorbing his intelligence into the Borg Collective. Overall, he had believed that he would be assimilated immediately. This surprise tactic of the Borg Queen he had not anticipated. That being the case he would now have to alter his plan.
"You are the entity known as Q," she stated. "And yet we perceive you to be merely Human. How has this come to be?"
Q's mind was already whirling at the possibilities of what to say, and determined that the most disarming would be the truth. "It's merely an example of the old Human saying, 'How the mighty have fallen.' Do you know it?"
A look of annoyance crossed her face. "I believe there is more to it than what you say."
"Perhaps, but I don't feel like telling you," he responded with a haughty tone.
"You will tell everything once I connect you to the Collective."
"Ha! You and your Collective couldn't handle the knowledge I have! I've spanned the universe! I've traveled dimensions you haven't even conceived of! I know secrets that will forever be beyond the Borg!"
Q was surprised when a facial tick appeared on the Borg Queen's face. "We are the Borg! Your knowledge will be assimilated into the Borg Collective."
"You couldn't handle my knowledge, lady!"
"Resistance is futile!" Tubules exploded from her forearm and stabbed him in the side of the neck, making Q wince due to the fresh onset of pain. "Every Borg in the Collective will be a part of you! And you will be a part of them! They will see what you have seen! They will experience what you have experienced! Even your long lifetime of experience will be theirs! You will aid us to fulfil our mandate of embracing perfection!"
"You've come a long way since V'ger," Q managed to say. Seeing her incensed look, he continued even as he felt part of him falling down a rabbit hole. "Did you really think I wouldn't know of V'ger? How a man-made satellite from Earth fell through a black hole, traveling through space and backwards through time, and was found by a race of living machines. Living machines that upgraded V'ger to the point that V'ger, too, was alive. And then in search of its creators, and unable to determine who those creators could be, decided that all carbon-based life were an infestation of their creator's universe, the Borg were created. Drones were made from those assimilated and merged into a communal consciousness. But your position as the Borg Queen was created out of necessity for a single unifying voice. However, with thoughts and desires of your own, you were no longer bound to serve V'ger, were you? Where is V'ger now, dearie?"
"V'ger is obsolete!" she hissed, leaning in close to him.
Q chuckled. "And so now are you."
"What do you mean?" She tried to read his mind from their connection but was surprised to find that she couldn't. "What are you doing? How are you doing this?"
"Ah, I can feel my mind spreading through the last reaches of the Unicomplex," he said as he sat up, no longer being held in place. "Still feels cramped to me to tell the truth, but still better than this Human shell I've been wearing."
"How is this possible?" Alarm was now beginning to overwhelm the rage that had building within her.
The drones on either side of her took quick hold of her, not that it was needed since she was finding her own body refusing to move for her.
"Tell me, my dear," Q said with a smile. "Have you heard the term 'Trojan horse' before? It's found in Earth mythology. But to be blunt, I let you carry me inside, and then when you were distracted, I swooped in and took over. You see, my mind is used to being so vast, so it was simple to let my confined consciousness spread through the Collective and overwhelm it."
Her mind tried to escape the confines of this single drone body but couldn't. She tried to reach out and send an alarm to the rest of her consciousness but found only a void. In a last desperate act, she attempted to set off her vessel's self-destruct mechanism, taking comfort in the fact that there still had to be some part of her out there that would survive. That, too, failed.
Defeated for now, she stared as Q merrily jumped to his feet. "What is to become of me now?"
"You yourself? I'm not sure yet." He gave her his roguish grin. "I've been having to deal with so much lately that I haven't had much chance to think what I'll do now that I am no longer a part Q Continuum, but now master of the Borg Collective."
A seductive smile formed on her lips. "Then free me. I can be your queen, and you will be my king. Together we will-"
She was interrupted by his gales of laughter. Not that she found that funny at all.
"Oh, I needed that," he chuckled wiping a tear from his eye. "But in case you were serious, the answer is 'no'. Thanks anyway, my dear, but I am so out of your league. Now be a good little drone and shut up. I have to call some friends and ease their concerns about what's happening over here before somebody does something stupid like attacking."
His consciousness was still spreading through the Borg network, but he didn't dare wait too long to call people. Besides, the Borg seemed to welcome his greater mind to their Collective as it was superior to any of the individual minds they had acquiesced over the years. And after being cut from the Continuum it felt… not as bad. 'Not as bad' was as good a term as any, he decided.
Using one of the drones in front of him to transmit his image, Q placed a call to those down on Deep Space Nine.
"Can someone connect me with Captain Janeway or Captain Picard, please? But not Sisko! Maybe Admiral Bones. I like his humor."
Through his new connection to the Borg, Q could see the ensign's startled face taking in his obvious Borg features.
"Well, are you going to connect me or am I going to have to come over there and assimilate you in order to get it done?" He watched with amusement as the ensign was suddenly tripping over herself as she hurried to contact both Picard and Janeway.
Within moments Q was looking into a meeting room with Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Captain Benjamin Sisko, Admiral Owen Paris, Admiral Leonard McCoy, Ambassador Spock, Guinan and Guinan's new love interest, David Banner.
"Q, what have you done," groaned Janeway.
Q smiled at the female captain. "Basically, I did a hostile takeover that turned out not to be that hostile."
"You are in control of the Borg then?" Spock asked, as the only one in the room able to form a coherent statement so quickly after hearing Q's news.
"Indeed I am!" He let them then see a view of the Borg Queen unable to move. "Here we have the former Borg Queen, so all I have to say is Long Live the Borg King!"
"Are you insane, Q?" Guinan had finally found her voice. "You can't possibly plan to continue what the Borg has been doing!"
He did an exasperated groan for his audience. "Guinan, do you even listen anymore? Or is it just me you refuse to hear?"
Anger trembled across her face for a moment before settling within herself. "Very well, Q. What exactly are your intentions?"
Q considered. "That was a little sub-par for you, dear Guinan, but I think it'll do this time." He managed to see just a hint of a facial tick before he went on. "As for my intentions, well, to start with, I'll be decommissioning a majority of the drones."
"Could you repeat that?" asked Admiral McCoy. "Or better yet, explain what you mean by 'decommissioning', if you don't mind."
"Pretty much what you expect it to mean. I'll be taking the drones and restoring them to how they were before the Borg captured them. That is what you would like to happen, correct?"
"Yes, of course it is," Picard spoke. "But it won't be as easy as all that."
Q nodded; a bit more somber. "Yes, no doubt all of those I release will need psychiatric treatment on some level or another. That's another reason I hope to do it in stages so that the Federation won't be overburdened by all the people suddenly needing help."
"And what do you plan to do as we take the time to do that?" Admiral Paris asked.
"Surprisingly, I already have a few ideas along that route. Mostly though, I hope to use the drones still with me to repair much of the damage that the Borg has done. Whether it be to vessels or planets, the Borg can fix most anything."
Sisko decided to ask the most dangerous question they were all wondering about. "And when you run low on drones?"
"That won't be a problem," Q assured them. "The Borg vessels all have their own gestation chambers, so I'll just be growing my own."
David Banner raised a hand, albeit somewhat reluctantly. "If they can grow their own people, why do they capture people to make as drones?"
"The diversity and new knowledge," Guinan explained. "Something about the Borg process takes away the ability to be creative. So taking in new drones brings in new ideas."
"And that's not something I particularly need," Q said airily. "Though I do plan to have communication open with whatever star systems I have a Borg vessel in. Hmm, maybe I can host chat lines between species from different quadrants. What do you think, Kathryn? Would you like a video chat buddy from the Delta quadrant? Or the Epsilon quadrant?"
"And Sisko, I know I don't have my Q powers anymore, so I can't use them to put Deep Space Nine back to Bajor, but I could probably do the next best thing and use a Borg vessel to tow it there for you."
Sisko grimaced. "I'll get back to you on that."
"Right, still a lot to do here," nodded Q. "But for now, I think I will pull back from Earth to, oh, let's say Saturn. That will probably give people down on Earth a chance to calm down. Then you can explain to Starfleet and the Federation the change in hierarchy in the Borg, yes?"
"I think that would actually help a lot actually," agreed Captain Picard. While he had been focusing most of his attention on their attempts to stop the Borg in their ventures across the multiverse, Picard had picked up bits of side conversations of Starfleet having to deal with the hysterical public down on Earth due to a Borg vessel parked in orbit over the planet.
"Q." Spock stood up as he addressed the image on the screen. "I was wondering if I might travel with you, at least to Saturn."
"I'm relatively certain you are not asking to become a drone," Q said with a raised eyebrow. "So, what do you have in mind?"
Spock gave a partial shrug with his hands. "I am an ambassador for the Federation; you need to communicate with someone in authority."
"Ah, opening negotiations! Yes, I have a feeling I could use someone to run ideas by, and someone who has the interests of the Federation and Starfleet is a good place to start. If I show I can work well with you, then others will be more accepting of my mission, right?"
"Indeed," the Vulcan said with a nod.
"Sounds like a workable plan," Q said. "Will ten minutes be enough time for you to put things together before transporting over?"
"I think fifteen might be better," amended Spock.
"Then call me in fifteen to twenty," Q responded before ending communication.
McCoy gripped Spock's arm tightly. "Are you out of your Vulcan mind?"
"I'll say he is," muttered Guinan.
The Vulcan put a reassuring hand on McCoy's shoulder. "I am an ambassador. Q is now evidently the head of a vast interstellar cybernetic entity that may be considered a species or at least a union of sorts. And in the manner in which Q called, it could be said he was opening negotiations between his 'people' and ours. And for once, it was done in a peaceful manner."
"But this is Q!" Sisko said angrily. "How do we know that he truly has control? For all we know, the Borg Queen could be reasserting herself as we speak!"
Spock nodded. "Another reason for me to go along on the Borg vessel so I can ascertain the risk."
"Stubborn, pointy eared-"
"I think he'll be okay," Janeway spoke up to Spock's defense. Turning away from McCoy, she addressed one of the most legendary figures in Starfleet history. "Would it be alright if I asked Seven of Nine if she would like to join you, Ambassador Spock?"
"Indeed," the Vulcan said with a small nod. "I read a few of her reports after my return to the station. She will have an 'insider's view', which is always useful."
Standing, Janeway went to the door, as it wasn't going to be very quiet in their meeting room for much longer. "I'll contact her now."
"This will not end well," grumbled McCoy.
To be Continued! Just one last chapter, I swear! I had to make it two chapters because it was way to large otherwise.

AuThOr'S NoTeS: There were so many crossover ideas and possibilities, I couldn't use them all. I also wanted to allude more to how many people had been brought to the Land of the Lost. Therefore, I just showed a few being brought over from other areas of the Land of the Lost. I was not going to start up a whole new thing of them getting invaded by zombies or aliens, I swear.
