It was a few days later when we walked out the doors of Heights Alliance for our work study, only to see Deku and Kirishima meeting up on the lawn.
"Oh! Morning, Midoriya! You heading out to your job today? What a coincidence!"
"It's my first day back after a while, and they said I don't need my costume..."
"Huh!? G'morning! You guys, too?!" I asked them.
A hero ran up to us as we walked towards the train station. "The station? I'll take you guys there!
"Wow! Thanks a lot!" I cried.
"Thank you."
"So many heroes."
"Huh?!" said Deku as we arrived at the train station. "All on the same train!? I thought you were based in Kansai, Kirishima..."
"I am! Meeting up somewhere different than usual today."
"Same here." said Tsu.
A little later, as we all sat together on the train, Deku asked, "We're getting off at hte same station? This really is a coincidence!"
"We're meeting our group on-site," explained Tsu.
We all practiced poking out our tongues as we walked together in a little group through the streets of downton Tokyo. "Walking in the same direction, turning the same corner," muttered Deku as we rounded - and saw Hado with Amajiki and Togata.
"Hiya!"
"Hey!"
"..."
"And the big three are all here? What the heck is this?" Deku finished. We arrived at hte building's confernece room as per Ryukyu's instructions, and found a huge group of pro heroes there, including plenty I didn't recognize, and a few I did - including Mr. Aizawa."
"So many of us!" cried Deku. "Wow! What's this about?"
"Ryukyu!" said Hado, running over to our sensei to hug her. "Hey hey, what're we doing here?! I know you said something about a meeting, but what is it?!"
"You'll find out soon," said Ryukyu. "Shall we begin, Nighteye?"
I saw him - Sir Nighteye, All Might's sidekick and Deku's mentor. I turned to Tsu and we thought together, That big case.
"Thanks to the intel provided byall of you," said Nighteye, who was a pro that dressed like a salaryman, "We're making great strides with this investigation. The small organizatio known as Shie Hasaikai is plotting something. I've called you all to this discussion to share with you exactly what we know. Let's go over everything, setp by step."
We had some time before the meeting started, s me and Tsu hurried over to Aizawa sensei.
"Sensei!"
"Why are you here, Sensei?"
"I was called over. They asked for my help, so here I am. I've been told the gist of what's going on, and there's something I have to tell everyone."
We all assembled around hte meeting room table at last. Me and Tsu sat with Ryukyu. Sir Nighteye's sidekick Bubble Girl started reading from a mission brief. "For the past few weeks or so, here at the Nighteye agency, we have been...uh...conducting an independent investigation of the designated villain group known as Shie Hasaiikai."
"What started all this?" asked another pro hero.
"An incident involving a band of thieves called the Reservoir dogs. The police wrote it off as a mere accident, but there were a few inconsistencies that prompted our investigation."
A guy who looked like a giant centipede stood up. "Nighteye agency sidekick centipeder here. Under Nighteye's orders, I've been following some of the leads. According to my findings, the organization has been making extensive contact with outsiders and underworld dealers throughout the past year. Their goals seem to be the expansion and accumulation of funds. And shortly after we began investigation, they made contact with a member of hte League of Villains. Jin Bubaigawara, who goes by the villain name Twice. They were all very wary of being tailed, so we couldn't pursue them then, but the police have provided further assistance. Their findings confirm some sort of conflict between the two groups."
I shuddered a bit at the thought of hte League. An odler pro in white with a yellow cloak said, "Something to do with hte League, huh? So that's why you reached out to me and Tsukauchi."
"Where is Detective Tsukauchi?"
"Following up with more eyewitnesses."
Isn't htat the guy from USJ? But I was distracted from that when the older pro turned to Deku and said, "Kid, let's hope it doesn't come to this, but you might get dragged into some nasty business."
"It's no trouble at all!" said Deku.
"Friend of yours?" Togata asked him. "From my internship."
So that's who Deku did his internship with.
Nighteye said, "Continue."
His sidekick went on, "So given these developments, we reached out to all of you for help via HN."
"Skip to the next part," said Centipeder.
"HN?" I asked.
"The Hero Network," sai NEjire Hado. "It's a web service for licensed heroes. You can check out what heroes arll over the country are doing and even put in requests to heroes with quirks that might come in handy for whatever you're working on."
A pro hero in a domino mask snapped, "UA Students or not, what're these kids even doing here? They're just slowing us down. The sun's gonna set before we even get to talking about hte bad gu y's plan."
"BALONY!" yelled the big puffy pro who was sitting with Kirishima and Amajiki."These two are super important participants!"
"You mean us?" said Kirishima.
"This gag's getting old," muttered Amajiki.
"Also," said the hero turning to me and Tsu. "Also I'm seeing plenty of unfamiliar places here! I'm Fatgum! Nice to meetcha!"
"So round and cute," I said together with Tsu.
"Ah! Have some candy!" he tossed us some.
"Hasaiikai was once suspected of dealing in illegal substances," said Sir. "Which is why I've called in a hero familiar with such things."
Fatgum said, "Back in the day, I squashed loads of dealers like that! And then during Red Riot's debut battle the other day the perp went and shot up Tamaki here with a type of drug I've never seen before. A drug that destroys quirks."
Side B
"Your side made the first move," said Chisaki.
"BIG SIS MAG!" we screamedo ut.
"Uh. Filthy. I ahte this part," snarled Chisaki.
Compress jumped foward to destroy Chisaki.
"Compress, wait!" Tomura called was running towards him - tired to touch him - and nothing happened?!
"Don't touch me!" snarled Overhaul. And Mr. Compress's arm exploded. Tomura jumped in to try and take him on now - and Chisaki screamed " SHIELD!"
Someone jumped in the way of chisaki and Tomura dissolved him instead...
"That was a close one, Overhaul."
And a huge group of sidekicks to Chisaki came blasting through the wall.
"I see," said Tomura. "We should've started this way. We might've understood each other sooner."
