Chapter 3: The Fight

Back with Bia and Carla, Bia was growing more and more miserable as the day wore on, with her continuing to try and pretend to look for something that didn't even exist while her sister's eyes were still glued to her phone's screen. Bia was so focused on her thoughts and annoyance with her sister that she forgot the way back to the Blue Macaw tribe. Bia just wanted this day to end as it took all of her control to not completely blow up.

Bia stopped to take a breather, but couldn't as Carla bumped into her, not having seen that her sister had stopped.

"Sorry sis, didn't see you there." Carla apologized.

"How could you… Your eyes are in a whole another world…" Bia spoke softly, Carla just barely hearing it.

"What was that sis?" Carla asked.

"Nothing, lets just move on." Bia sighed as she went deeper and deeper into the jungle, followed by Carla.

Eventually Bia found some interesting floral and stopped, taking a closer look and was finally able to take an interest in something, that was until she heard the multiple camera clicks of her sister's phone. Bia slowly turned around as her sister was back to striking up poses for the camera as Bia had just about enough.

"Come on sis, you're going to help me or not?" Bia questioned.

"What are you talking about, of course I am, I'm taking a ton of pictures of the area so my followers know exactly where I am." Carla explained.

"No, it's just getting in the way!" Bia said more loudly.

"I thought this whole thing was for instagram!" Carla replied back in the same tone of voice.

"And all your other social media!?" Bia snapped back.

"Oh right because connecting to others is so bad!" Carla now upset.

"Yes!" Bia taking a step closer to her sister and getting right up to her face. "And you know what!? Coming out here was just an excuse to get away from Portrait Day!"

"What!?" Carla shocked to hear that her sister wanted nothing to do with this special day.

"I admit, I was almost getting into the search there, but I don't care a bit about your instagram picture!" Bia delivering the final straw as she saw that Carla felt really hurt by the comment. "Wait, I…" Bia started, but Carla cut her off.

"Well fine, if this is so silly, why don't we just go back home!" Carla changing her expression as she turned away from her sister.

"What?" Bia replied. "I'm not giving in, I'm going to see this thing through!" Bia then realizing she really couldn't…

The two sisters flew around aimlessly, not looking directly at each other, but they at least made sure not to lose each other. Yes, they were mad at each other, but being alone in unknown territory would be far worse. Soon enough Bia saw a cave up ahead, caves being rare in the Amazon as she flew down to it, landing at the entrance as Carla came to her side a second later.

"Never expected a cave here." Bia said, still not making direct eye contact with her sister as she stepped inside, followed by Carla, who sung a few notes, her voice echoing in the interior.

"Nice acoustics." Carla commented, only to bump into her sister again. "Could you not, I don't even know why you're here."

"I found this place, I deserve to see what I came for too." Bia returned as the two went further into the cave, the place getting darker and darker, the only light seeming to come from gems in the rocks so the two could at least see where they were going.

"Why are we even here, what kind of flower can even grow in this dark place?" Carla asked. "Unless… This whole trip is a lie…" Carla now making eye contact with her sister. "The truth…"

"Fine, I guess there's no point in hiding it, the flower doesn't even exist, I just needed some time by myself until I had to go with the family." Bia revealed. "But mom and dad said I should have brought you with me, boy was that a mistake."

"What!?" Carla now even more upset. "So all of this was a lie!?"

"Yes, it was." Bia simply replied.

"I can't believe you!" Carla disgusted by her sister. "You know what, I'm going back home now and I don't care if you come with me or not!" Carla about to leave, only for the two to hear a rumbling.

"What was that?" Bia asked as the two looked towards the entrance of the cave to see…" No, no, no!" The two shouted at the same time as they flew as fast as they could to the outside, but it was too late…

A sudden rockslide blocked the entrance to the cave, trapping the two inside with no way out and what was worse… No one knew that the two sisters were in trouble…

Back with the rest of the sisters' family, they were all ready for the long trip to Rio, it being about midday and everyone was present, except for Bia and Carla… The family waited patiently, but the two sisters didn't show up, no one knew what to say, that was until Tiago finally couldn't take it and spoke up.

"Okay, something is wrong, Bia may want to delay coming, but I know for sure that Carla would be the first one here." Tiago no longer able to keep his thoughts contained.

"I'm sure they'll come son, maybe your sisters are doing something together." Blu suggested.

"I don't know Blu…" Alex seeing Tiago's point. "I think Tiago's right."

"I have to agree with my grandson Blu, something just doesn't seem right." Eduardo added.

"I'm sure they're fine Blu." Jewel comforting her mate. "Lets check out their hollow, maybe they just forgot the time." Jewel suggesting.

"I guess so, lets get going than." Blu said as the family flew to the hollow where the sisters lived…

And of course no one was home, in fact it looked like no one was here since the morning as the family spread out, checking the rooms as well.

"They're not here." Roberto called down as he looked into the last room.

"I knew it, we have to find them." Tiago worried for his sisters.

"Roberto and I will rally teams of macaws to search the area." Eduardo immediately speaking.

"I'll inform Linda and Tulio, luckily they're at the outpost they set up at the border." Blu added.

Tiago was still in his worried state, stuck in his own world, that is until he felt Lisa put a wing on him.

"We'll find them Tiago, with all of us looking, they'll be back with us in no time." Lisa assured her mate.

"I hope you're right honey…" Tiago replied as he hoped his sisters were safe and were not in trouble…

And I'll leave it there until next chapter!

Next chapter will seem all too familiar to those of you who read Sisters Duet, where well Bia and Carla share a little song together.

Until than, see everybird later!
