Tucker seemed to wander around; it was a station. The snort of steam from one of those behemoths that Rin had sketched was standing at the platform. Behind them were several carriages, it looked like they carried people. He looked around as there were many familiar faces, Shizune, Misha, Emi, Hisao and many more. Tucker wandered around this platform to see what it was. He spotted Rin boarding one of those passenger carriages. Tucker felt something in his hand, he raised the object to his hands. A ticket, what for? Tucker went over to the door where the ticket master was waiting.
Tucker handed the ticket to the man who marked it which allowed Tucker to board. He wandered around the car to see who was there. Tucker then found an empty seat and sat down on it. The seat was comfortable, almost if it was made with high quality leather. Tucker looked out of the window to the station as the crew were getting the last few things ready. Rin sat down next to him as she wanted to figure out if he was ready for the long haul ahead. Neither she nor Tucker did any speaking as Rin had just smiled. Then the whistle of the behemoth was blown and with a slight jerk, they began to move. The chuff of the behemoth as it left station Tucker just stared out the window as if the station disappeared off into the distance as the distant city grew further and further away. It was rolling hills and flat terrain of green now. Even then it wouldn't last, the terrain grew white as everything began to fade. Tucker didn't know what message this was supposed to mean. When everything went to white, Tucker woke up to see what it was.
Tucker had been jolted awake by the dream he just had. He turned his head to the alarm clock to see that the clock read three thirty-four in the morning. It was still dark out. Tucker knew he needed to get back to sleep if he wanted to make the next few hours-worth it. He snuggled his head into the pillow and fell back asleep. Hopefully he won't have the same dream again.
Tucker got another three hours of sleep before he woke up at the allotted time he needed to get up. He went over to get himself ready for the day and after dressing himself. He looked into the mirror.
"I don't know what I will say to Rin about the dream as of last night. Do you?" Tucker asked himself. He straightened out his tie and decided to text Eleanor to see if she was up and getting ready for the day. After waiting a few minutes for a response. Eleanor texted back that she was fine, and she was going to make an attempt to hang out with Hisao during the afternoon, and if that failed, she was going to head back to the art room as a fallback plan. Tucker nodded before he finally went off to his first period class.
Tucker managed to arrive early. He went to the door and knocked to see if someone was inside. He looked in, there was nobody. He pulled on the door to see if the door unlocked, the door handle wouldn't budge, it was still locked. Eventually, he gave up before he decided to sit on the floor and wait. Then Shinichi came along as he was carrying a couple of blank canvases with him. It appeared that he was struggling a bit before Tucker got up and walked over to him.
"I sensed you were struggling and you needed some help." Tucker began. He grabbed one of the canvases and began walking with Shinichi.
"Thanks Mr. Kagami, I'd appreciate your help. I got to get a few more so class isn't going to start for a good ten minutes. I have the others wheeling the canvases here, but they didn't all fit." Shinichi explained to Tucker about what happened.
"It definitely rained a lot yesterday. I was walking back to Yamaku with Rin in the rain." Tucker began. Shinichi nodded as he was wondering what was up with Rin.
"Was she feeling better?" Shinichi asked.
"Yes, she was, she invited me out to the Shanghai yesterday afternoon when the rain dumped itself onto us. I think Rin smiles more often when it's just me and her." Tucker began telling Shinichi about the afternoon he had with Rin.
"Rin's definitely got deep pockets full of secrets she doesn't want to tell others about." Shinichi explained. He got out his keys and he unlocked the door. The door opened with him and Shinichi stepping inside while they continued the conversation.
"I know, she feels more comfortable around me than anyone else. I guess she decided to take the opportunity to ask me out. Have you been to the Shanghai before Mr. Nomiya?" Tucker explained before he asked Shinichi a question.
"Once or twice but that was before Yuuko worked there. I don't think I saw her in her work uniform." Shinichi began. "I don't think I really speak to Yuuko at all ever since I began working here." Shinichi didn't know if he spoke to one of the librarians ever since he began working at Yamaku Academy. Tucker felt down from this.
"You should try speaking to people to see what will work for you." Tucker suggested Shinichi to be a bit more sociable. Shinichi nodded before they began putting the canvases down.
"What do you want to be when you grow up?" Shinichi asked Tucker if he had any ideas of what he wanted to do when he got out of Yamaku Academy.
"I wanted to be an engineer. I don't know what field of engineering I'm trying to decide on, but I definitely want to make things that will make people appreciate what I did." Tucker did his best to explain to Shinichi that he definitely wanted to see what kind of field he wanted to try out before getting a job. Shinichi nodded before he smiled.
"I'll go talk to Yuuko about it and see what she thinks of it. I'll try to flag you down when I think the moment is just right." Shinichi expressed to Tucker about what he planned on doing regarding what he wanted to do. Tucker nodded before he decided to take his seat.
"Well, the best thing to do now is let the ship set sail and see where the wind blows." Tucker told Shinichi as he wasn't entirely sure where this was going to go. The door opened as Rin stepped in and walked over. She sat down next to Tucker as there were still a couple minutes left before class began. "Hey Rin, are you feeling better?" Tucker asked her. Rin seemed to sigh before she looked at Tucker.
"I certainly am. I think the walk in the rain did the trick." Rin told Tucker. Tucker seemed to nod before he began speaking again.
"I think I had another dream about you." Tucker began. Rin turned her head to her friend as she remained curious about it.
"What was it about?" Rin asked curiously. Tucker began to think about it before he began to tell the dream to Rin that he had.
"I was standing on the platform almost as if the entire school was there, you, me, Shizune, Misha and so on. We seemed to board this train and it was the most comfortable seat I had the pleasure of sitting in. Then you came along and sat next to me. The whistle blew and we left the station for an unknown destination as I didn't know where we were going." Tucker did his best to recall the dream he had. Rin seemed to nod before she spoke.
"If we do get some time off, we can head to the Satou summer house and explore there." Rin told Tucker. "There is a train that runs there about twice a day though they run a pretty long distance, one in the early morning, then the late morning going back, afternoon and night. You get the picture." Rin explained to Tucker what she meant. Tucker nodded.
"Okay." Tucker replied. The door opened to see the rest of the class trickle in though Tucker noticed something different about Rin, though subtle, he decided to ignore it as she was getting through with it. Shinichi then did the routine of greeting his students before they split up into their usual groups. Shinichi walked over to Rin.
"Do you think you will be painting again or you're not ready for that yet?" Shinichi asked Rin. Rin decided to give it some thought before she began to speak.
"I'm going to go a little easy today with some sketching." Rin explained to Shinichi. Shinichi nodded before he walked away.
"Very well. Good luck." Shinichi explained to Rin. Rin grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and decided to sit next to Tucker who was just about done sketching the picture he was making. Rin looked at him as she knew she needed to do something.
"Hey Tucker?" Rin began. Tucker was putting the finishing details to his picture when he turned his head to Rin.
"Yes?" Tucker asked when he finished.
"Can I borrow you for a drawing?" Rin asked. Tucker seemed curious about it before he decided to speak.
"Sure, what is the drawing going to be?" Tucker asked. Rin decided to guide Tucker over to a stool.
"Sit." Rin told him. Tucker sat on the stool as Rin was molding him into something she could draw. "Keep straight." Rin instructed him to mold into something he needed to be. "Hands in lap." Rin continued to instruct. She looked over occasionally to see if Tucker was doing this correctly. After getting the position she needed. She looked back over to him. "Okay perfect, remember, stay still." Rin instructed Tucker. Tucker slightly nodded as Rin began to sketch him out. The minutes began to tick by as Tucker didn't know what Rin was going to do. Rin was sketching him as diligently as possible.
"So how long do I need to stay like this?" Tucker asked as he seemed to be curious about it. Rin looked at him as she tried her best to read his words.
"I can get this done in fifteen minutes, no talking otherwise you will mess up the picture." Rin explained to Tucker. Tucker sighed while he sat still. Rin continued to sketch him out with her feet. Rin bobbed her head up from the paper every minute or so to take more of a mental picture of his shape. She went back to sketching while Tucker kept his eyes on Rin. Rin continued to sketch him out as the time continued to draw. The clock ticked down as Tucker then looked at Rin who was finished with her picture. "You can take a look at it now." Rin told Tucker that she was finished. Tucker got off the stool and walked over to see what Rin had done. He looked ahead to see what happened.
"You're… amazing, I'm speechless." Tucker admitted. Rin was pretty good with drawing, especially with her feet. She managed to capture his entire form and pasted it into the sheet of paper. Rin then blew on the paper to get rid of some of the eraser marks and pieces of the pencil.
"See I was able to do it." Rin smirked though she felt proud of it. She finished writing her name when the bell rang. Tucker knew he got nothing done today as he was helping Rin out. He gathered his belongings and headed out the door. He and Rin decided to take a few moments to catch up on events that were happening. They continued to walk around trying to figure out what to do. Tucker looked around to see where Rin's friend was.
"Where's Emi?" Tucker asked. She was nowhere to be seen running in the hallway she usually did. Rin turned her head as her cheeks were red but not in the usual way.
"Emi's sick with a cold. She's unable to come to class today." Rin told Tucker what exactly was going on. Tucker seemed to nod as he was able to pick out Rin's words.
"I got to go to my next class, it was nice chatting with you, and I hope we can catch up again." Tucker told Rin while they walked apart from each other. Tucker decided now he needed to head to his next class if he was going to be on time and get bothered by Misha.
Tucker then sat down in his usual spot as he began to think. He got out his belongings to prepare for the class duration. Then a voice came along to greet him.
"Hello Tucchan!" Tucker looked over to see who that was that shouted at him. It was Shizune and Misha who decided to take up their usual seats next to him.
Katawa Shoujo- The Student Council
"Hey Misha, is there anything important going on today?" Tucker asked Misha if there was something she needed. Shizune began with a few quick hand gestures before Misha turned to Tucker.
"Shicchan says there is an event going on in the library after class, it's the gathering of the book club. We were wondering if you wanted to join and therefore you have to join the student council." Misha began as she once again tried to invite Tucker to join them. Tucker didn't know what to say but his mind was clear this time around.
"No thanks though the offer seemed inviting, my intentions are clear." Tucker told them as he knew what he wanted to do. Misha felt upset by this notion as her happy smile seemed to fade away like the sun hiding behind some clouds.
"Tucchan. Shicchan says we can play a game if you come to the library." Misha tried her best to bribe Tucker with the invitation but for him, he didn't want to come.
"I'm sorry but my answer is no." Tucker began. He began to think as he remembered having something from Yuuko he wanted to give back to her. "But. If you're going to the library, can you return this to Yuuko? I borrowed it yesterday when it rained on us." Tucker told Misha while he handed her the umbrella, he borrowed from her. Misha takes a look at the umbrella that Tucker wanted to return to her. Afterward, she smiled before she looked back up to Tucker.
"Sure thing." Misha responded. This surprised Tucker, despite saying no to Misha's offer multiple times, Misha was willing to do something like that.
"Thank you, Misha. I have to go to other places in the afternoon." Tucker stated the reason he wasn't going to come. Misha nodded.
"Shicchan says you're excused." MIsha smiled at her friend. The teacher came in as the class was about to begin as the students began to trickle in.
The rest of the morning seemed to go without a hitch as Misha and Tucker seemed to be more open to each other. Lunch time came around and Tucker decided to check up on Eleanor to see how she was doing before heading to the roof. Tucker arrived at the roof top to find three girls laying in the sun.
"I guess I was running late." Tucker asked, lunch had just about started.
"Yeah, you were kind of." Hanako teased Tucker. She was laying on the pebbly gravel roof top with Molly and Rin.
"Well, the entire group is here, we should begin…" Rin paused as she began to ventilate a bit. Her mouth opened wide, and her eyes scrunched up. She turned away from the group as she feared something was coming. "Achoo!" Rin sneezed.
"Bless you Rin. I wasn't expecting that." Tucker began as he helped Rin up to her feet. Molly and Hanako had no trouble getting up, so they went over to take a seat.
"Thank you." Rin snorted a bit. Tucker placed a napkin to her nose, and she blew into it. It was clear she wasn't feeling right. Tucker took the napkin away and tossed it into the garbage, Rin's nose and cheeks were red in an unnatural way. This was something he was worried about. Molly then began speaking.
"Hey Tucker, Natsume said that Naomi was beginning to consider expanding the newspaper club. I was talking to Hanako about it, and she said that she would consider the offer." Molly began as she wanted to catch him up on some of the latest news about their club.
"Tell Natsume she has her wishes, but I don't know if Hanako is willing to join?" Tucker began. Hanako listened closely as she didn't know if she was being held back or she wanted to join.
"I don't know, I've been considering it, but I don't know what I want to do about it." Hanako expressed herself as she was still on the fence about it. Tucker began speaking to her.
"Do what's best on the inside, it's where you sit at the center of those feelings." Tucker told Hanako that she shouldn't be letting herself not take the opportunity to make some improvements. Hanako nodded nervously.
"I'll talk to Lilly about it." Hanako added. The four of them began to eat as Rin unexpectedly sneezed again. Tucker seemed concerned about her.
"Are you okay Rin?" Tucker asked. He handed Rin another napkin which she blew her nose into.
"Not really." Rin told Tucker. Rin turned her head away and sneezed again. It was clear she wasn't feeling well.
"Should we visit the nurse after the last class concludes to see what is wrong with you?" Tucker asked Rin if they would stop by the School Nurse to see what is wrong with her. Rin then remembered something.
"I had Emi help me dress this morning and I didn't know she was sick. She must've sneezed on me." Rin told Tucker about what she remembered. Tucker nodded as she continued to speak. "Due to my lack of arms, I usually have someone dress me every day, but my usual helper wasn't able to make it as she was running some errands. Emi was more than willing to help me though I told you she has a cold… Achoo!" Rin sneezed again while looking away from Tucker. She didn't know how she was going to continue on from this.
"I'll visit you at the nurse as I must." Rin sighed. She wasn't a fan of going to the nurse but if it was to make Tucker happy, then she would go with him. Tucker finished his lunch while looking at the clock.
"You know where to meet me?" Tucker asked. Rin nodded before she sneezed again. Tucker looked back as Rin continued to blow her nose. He then walked away.
Tucker's last class went without a hitch though he reminded himself to text Eleanor to see how she was doing. Once that was done, he went off to the School Nurse's office. When he arrived, he seemed to be puzzled about what was going on as he was waiting for Rin. The minutes ticked by as Rin promised him, she would meet him inside. The door opened to reveal the School Nurse standing outside and waiting for him.
"Ah Tucker you're here." The School Nurse greeted him. Tucker felt nervous about it almost if he was going in for a needle.
Katawa Shoujo- Ah Eh I Oh You
"Do I need a shot?" Tucker asked. The School Nurse looked at him as he tried to figure out if he needed it. He smiled with a fox-like grin before he began speaking.
"You're still good as you just got one this Monday, you don't need another one until either tomorrow or Friday, I will text you when you need it." The School Nurse told Tucker that he was still good. Tucker managed to breathe a sigh of relief. No needles for today. Tucker then looked at the School Nurse as he began asking another question.
"Where's Rin Tezuka, I was supposed to meet her here and she never showed up, she was sneezing all the time today and I didn't know if we should visit you or not?" Tucker began with another question.
"Rin is in my office as I decided to take her in. However, it wouldn't be a good idea to go in my office." The School Nurse told Tucker where she was. "Rin Tezuka has a cold." He told Tucker what was wrong with her. Tucker was shocked, how could a cold so easily overwhelm her?
"So, she's sick too like Emi?" Tucker asked the School Nurse if this was true.
"Yep, that I can say is true." The School Nurse replied. "I'll text you when you can drop by for your needle, I just ordered more antibiotics."
"Okay." Tucker sighed as he began to walk off. He didn't even get the chance to see Rin. At least she was doing okay was the only thing he was concerned about. He decided to head to the Art Room to bring the news to Shinichi before heading off to get his homework done. Tucker would arrive at the art room before he began to knock on the door. He wanted to see where Shinichi was. The door opened as it revealed that it was Shinichi.
"Ahh Mr. Kagami, is there something you need?" Shinichi greeted him with a smile. Tucker tried to think about it when he entered the room.
"Mr. Nomiya, Rin is out with a cold. She's sick." Tucker announced to Shinichi. Shinichi looked as if he was down a bit. He looked at him.
"Sick, I hope she recovers quickly." Shinichi told Tucker that he hoped that Rin had a fast recovery. "Well other than that, I have someone who wishes to see you." Shinichi stepped aside to see Eleanor painting away. Tucker was surprised, Eleanor was painting her feelings away on the canvases. "I think I might have two talented artists."
"How?" Tucker asked. "I was given an art class by my mother, but the class doesn't suit my interests. Eleanor feels more at home here though for me, going here every day for Rin is something I look forward to. She gives me the company I want." Tucker admitted that he wasn't going to the art room to learn about art so much as he was going there for Rin Tezuka. Shinichi looked at him before he began speaking.
"I think Eleanor is talented, I might make her into a good artist one day. We often chat a lot and she says she has plenty of ideas she wants to experiment with though." Shinichi explained to Tucker what Eleanor was up to. Tucker nodded. He turned his head to see her working on the canvas. While not as refined or detailed as Rin, she did a pretty talented job. Tucker nodded before he turned and prepared to head out the door.
"I'll see you tomorrow and we can talk more." Tucker told Shinichi while he headed out the door. Shinichi nodded before speaking.
"See you." Shinichi told Tucker.
The hours grew later as Tucker decided to return to his dorm. He felt like he had a long day and he needed to wind down, possibly read from the book he had. Tucker walked down the hallway to bump into a welcoming face.
"Hello." William greeted him.
Katawa Shoujo- Nocturne
"Oh William, I wasn't expecting you." Tucker began. William scooted himself over with the wheelchair he was in as if he was clearing the hallway.
"Me either." William said with a laugh. Tucker nodded as he seemed to be puzzled too.
"What's going on? Has Stella Kowalski had her son yet?" Tucker asked if this was going to be a joke. William laughed.
"No Stella and Stanley are still together for your clarification. We don't know too much about Blanche DuBois from Rin whom I ran into and she was sneezing all over the place when I was trying to read that play with her." William told Tucker what exactly was going on. Tucker seemed to nod a bit.
"It's Desire the play is called right?" Tucker asked. William nodded his head while he kept a smile on his face.
"Also was there a reason for Rin sneezing all over the place? I don't know if she had something stuck in her nose?" William asked.
"Rin Tezuka has a cold. I learned about that from the School Nurse and she said Emi had a cold as well." Tucker laid out the details of what happened. William nodded a bit before he began speaking again.
"Oh. I wish them both my wishes for a fast recovery. I guess Emi passed her cold onto Rin." William tried his best to explain what had happened. Tucker seemed to nod with approval before he began speaking again. "I ran into Misha today at the library as I was returning a couple of books to Yuuko. She handed what seemed to be an umbrella back." William paused before he turned to Tucker. "You know about the umbrella?" William asked Tucker if he knew anything about the umbrella that Misha was giving to Yuuko.
"I asked Yuuko for the umbrella when it rained on us yesterday and Misha said she was heading to the library. I asked her to return the umbrella when she was heading to the library as I had no interest in going there." Tucker explained to William about it. William nodded with approval.
"I see." William told Tucker. Then Hisao came onto the scene as he seems curious about the conversation. He stopped by as William turned to him. "Is there something you want to speak to us about?"
"Yes, I do, it has to do with Ernest." Hisao began. Tucker and William began to think about it before Tucker began to speak up.
"What's up with him?" Tucker asked curiously.
"I was walking with Lilly who told me she and Akira were heading to Scotland for a week and they wanted to have a party for Hanako before they leave. I was also talking with Eleanor and then we were stopped by Ernest who said he was hosting a card game at his dorm. He didn't say when, but he decided to give us the heads up. Would you be interested in attending?" Hisao asked Tucker if he wanted to participate as if it was just them.
"Of course, it would be…?" Tucker asked as he tried to figure out what the card game was going to be.
"All dudes, he said." Hisao told Tucker about what the conditions were going to be.
"And Kenji?" Tucker asked.
"That's up in the air but I'm just praying that he doesn't show up." William added. Tucker and Hisao turned their heads to him as he continued to speak. "Whatever her blabbers out of his mouth will be absolute nonsense. If he's keeping a journal in that room of his, I'm going to take it, read it and show it to Shizune as evidence why we need to expel him." William laid out his plan to get Kenji kicked out of Yamaku.
Katawa Shoujo- High Tension
"It sounds like you and Kenji don't get along." Hisao began. William continued to speak almost if the tension was building up between them.
"That's because we don't. Whenever he tries to tell me about his wacko type nut jobs about how feminists are infiltrating throughout Yamaku High and he wants people to attend his picnics and build his forts while he hides away for the takeover which I believe will never come as the students are just living their lives." William explained. "I tried telling him that all of this stuff he's saying isn't true but whenever I try, he tells me to shut up. I can't take Kenji."
"Wow, you seem to be boiling over with hatred I see." Hisao told William that he wasn't the one to be willing to get along. William nodded before he sighed, calming down.
"It's because I am not one to trust him." William admitted. Hisao nodded and began to speak again.
"I'm heading to my dorm to rest up. I have to get some sleep. See you tomorrow." Hisao told them before he left the scene. William turned to Tucker as he needed a favor from him.
"Tucker, want to wheel me back to my room so I can call it a night?" William asked. Tucker nodded before he gripped the handles of the wheelchair and began to push William back to his dorm. It wasn't long before they got to the door as William began speaking again.
"What do you plan on doing? I'm going to hit the hay for now as I'm so tired." William began as he yawned. Tucker began to think of what he planned on doing.
"Most likely going to relax, I need to wind down especially when I found out that Rin has caught Emi's cold." Tucker began. William nodded before he decided to get himself inside.
"Okay, be sure to check up on her tomorrow afternoon to see how she's doing." William advised Tucker about it to give Rin a visit when his classes were done. Tucker nodded before he left.
"I will, thank you." Tucker then left William as the door closed behind him.
Tucker decided to make his way back to his dorm and get ready for bed. He got out the night clothes before heading to the shower to wash himself up. Once that was finished, he made his way back to his dorm before winding down with a few pages of that book. The machines definitely looked interesting, and he was curious to figure out what a Bipolar Electric was? He needed to ask Rin when she got better. For now. He decided to put the slip of paper as the bookmark before shutting the lights off and heading off to sleep. Hopefully Rin will get over this cold fast.
[A/N]: Pretty long chapter for you to read as it took a bit longer than usual. I can safely say we're actually getting more views than I would anticipate. Let's see if we can hit 100 views as chapter 10 comes in a few days. I like to see how we're going with this. See you later.
