She watched.
She was so intent on watching that she didn't notice that she had been noticed.
"Who the fuck are you?!"
Minerva turned at the sound of the girl's voice.
They stared each other down. Grey eyes bored into brown ones.
"Are you one of Neil's personalities?" Faith asked warily.
"Neil?" Minerva asked.
"So that's a no. So I repeat: Who the fuck are you?!" Faith snapped, assuming a combat stance.
"I don't answer questions from little girls." Minerva replied.
"Bet you'll answer them after I whip your big ass!" Faith growled menacingly.
With that, she sprinted forward and unleashed a jump kick, but her enemy stepped aside, dodging her attack, and when Faith turned around to continue her assault, Minerva punched her in the nose with a quick vicious motion, knocking her to the ground.
As the Dark Slayer lay there, stunned, Minerva raised her foot to cave Faith's head in.
Only to receive a vicious kick to the face, sending her flying backwards!
Minerva rolled through the blow and turned to face her new enemy.
It was one of the big ones she didn't know. Taller than her, with long dark hair and blue eyes.
Blue eyes that were narrowed and focused on her.
"You okay Faith?" Athena asked as she cautiously watched Faith's attacker.
"Yeah, big girl, I'm okay. Bitch has a hell of a jab." Faith responded, rubbing her nose.
"So, who might you be, and why are you attacking my girlfriend?" Athena asked Minerva.
"You people certainly are full of questions, aren't you?" Minerva answered.
"I suggest you start with the exposition." Athena snapped.
"Or what? I'll kick your ass just like I did that little slut behind you?" Minerva snarled.
"Oh my. Let's get this party started, shall we?!" Athena hissed.
"Come on." Minerva sneered, with a come hither gesture.
Athena immediately went on the offensive with a spin kick, but Minerva ducked and fired several quick punches, battering Athena's face and nose!
But if she had expected to down Athena as quickly as Faith, Athena quickly disabused Minerva of that notion.
Athena's right leg snapped upward with terrifying speed, knocking Minerva backwards as Athena's foot collided with her jaw!
Minerva found herself on her broad back and rolling away as the other woman rained kicks down at her. She snapped a quick kick from her prone position, striking Athena in the gut and knocking her backwards.
Jumping to her feet, she was the unhappy recipient of an Athena right cross that almost knocked her back down. She blocked two more punches from Athena and hit her in the eye with a right hook, only to get a vicious snap kick to her stomach!
The two amazonian women circled each other guardedly, having gained a newfound respect for each other. Faith watched on anxiously.
Both women had the same idea as they attacked simultaneously, blocking and parrying, trading blows and dodging and ducking.
Minerva quickly caught one of Athena's punches and tried to apply an armbar, but Athena directed a savage kick to Minerva's legs, causing her to stumble and release her hold. She put Minerva in a hammerlock, only for the shorter woman to use the back of her head to headbutt Athena in the nose and free herself. Athena retaliated by grabbing Minerva's head and bringing said head down into her rising knee, bloodying Minerva's mouth. Minerva staggered back, and viciously uppercutted the oncoming Athena, sending her down to the earth. But before she could do more, Athena used her long legs to sweep Minerva's own legs out from under her, causing her to fall as well!
Athena started laughing without warning.
"What the fuck are you laughing at?!" Minerva shouted aggressively.
"Isn't this fun?!" Athena answered with a cackle.
"You're crazy!" Minerva said in blatant disbelief.
There was suddenly the sound of approaching footsteps, and all three women turned to look.
It was Lilith.
Minerva's eyes widened at seeing this, and she sprang to her feet and made a run for it!
