Congrats to Longclaw and the guest. Yes, I styled Lothar's death off how the dilophosaurus killed nedry in the book. For anyone unfamiliar, search this: Jurassic Park novel, "Nedry" illustration - YouTube

Ironclaw: Too bad, Jonerys is in this. Don't like, don't read.

Ashley Crowley: There is a difference between actions on battlefields and stabbing someone who is trying to flee for their life. Jon himself knows what he did was dishonorable, but right now he doesn't care.

He and Dany were standing near the waterfall that they'd flown to. She looked so beautiful in her winter cloak. He felt it perfectly matched her hair. The closest he'd seen to an actual goddess.

"It's cold up here for a southern girl."

"So keep your queen warm."

Jon pulled her in and kissed her. She responded eagerly. A low pair of grumbles pulled them apart. They turned to see Drogon and Rhaegal staring.

"Don't be afraid" she said, sounding amused.

Jon pulled her close once again...

Jon's eyes opened and suddenly he was up. Gasping, he stared around confused. Rhaegal was in a ball, sleeping soundly. He remembered that after he left Robb, he'd sought out Rhaegal and stayed by his dragon's side the rest of the day. Hearing his brother's wife was with child brought painful memories up. He's needed to be alone with Rhaegal. In Ghost's absence (his direwolf was back in the north with Summer and Shaggydog) Rhaegal could calm him down.

Jon.

The presence in his mind had woken him.

"Bran" he said out-loud. "What was this for. I was sleeping."

Sorry, but Rickon needs you. He left the tent a while to piss and now he's lost in the camp. He's not too far from where you are. Can you please find him?

This forced any annoyance away. Jon had a soft spot for his brothers. "I'll find him."

Jon reentered the camp and soon found Rickon. His youngest sibling was on his knees, crying. Jon walked up to him and hugged him.

"Jon? Oh, thank the gods. I was lost."

"You shouldn't leave your tent without help in unfamiliar places, Rickon."

"I know" Rickon sobbed. "I just really had to go."

Jon chuckled and picked Rickon up. He started to go towards the main tent when Rickon spoke again.

"Jon, can I stay with you and Rhaegal?"

Jon was startled slightly, but Rickon seemed too sad to refuse.

"Sure."

Jon brought Rickon back to where Rhaegal was. After wrapping Rickon in a blanket, Jon laid down.

"Jon, you don't have anything to sleep in. You'll be cold."

"I'll be fine Rickon. When you spend time north of the wall, cold south of it doesn't bother you."

"That's where you met that Ygritte, right?"

Jon smiled. He had had quite a few free folk with him when he located his brothers and Rickon seemed quite... taken with the red head whom Jon had slept with if his future. "Yes, she lived up there her whole life. She'd probably overheat sleeping with clothes on here. If she were this far south, she'd have to be naked at night."

Rickon's eyes widened. "Naked?"

Jon chuckled. "You still have some years until you need to think about that."

Rickon didn't laugh like Jon expected. "Jon, can I ask you some things?"

"Sure Rickon."

"Is what you said true?"

"What do you mean?"

"About father not being your father?"

Jon hesitated. "Yes Rickon. My mother was your aunt."

Rickon started to tear up again. "I lost my brother."

Jon quickly wrapped Rickon in an embrace. "No Rickon. You haven't lost me. I'm still here."

"But you aren't my brother" he sobbed.

"Maybe not literally, but I still see you as such. Same as Robb and Bran. I grew up with you all. You'll always be my brother."

"You will" Rickon asked, trying to stop the tears.

"Of course" Jon reassured Rickon. "Now, was there something else?

"Yes. Who is Dany?"

That question felt like a sucker punch. Jon sat straight up, startling Rickon. "Whe... where did you hear that name?!"

"When you were flying Bran and I south. You would talk in your sleep. You said 'I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Dany.'"

Jon's breath caught in his chest. He knew Rickon wasn't aware of him traveling through time, but he hadn't...

"She... was someone I met before."

"She? Dany is a girl?"

"Yes Rickon."

"You kept saying sorry. Did you hurt her?"

Jon was now fighting to keep his tears at bay. "Ye... Yes, I did. I hurt her terribly, and I am ashamed."

Rickon now looked devastated. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you sad."

Jon hiccupped a little. "Its ok. You couldn't have known. Rickon, this is something I want to talk about later."

"Ok."

Rickon wrapped his tiny arms around Jon's waist. Or, as far as he could. After cuddling up as much as possible, he fell asleep.

Jon laid his head against Rhaegal's leg. Doing his best to banish the painful memories from his mind, Jon closed his eyes and also drifted off to sleep.

Back in the Stark's main tent, Bran had mixed feelings. On the one hand, Jon was still deeply sad about what happened in their time. On the other hand, the fact he hadn't been angry when Rickon asked about Daenerys was a sign he was starting to move past it, no matter how little. Perhaps, perhaps there truly was hope after all.

I like seeing the follows and favorites, but it's the comments I REALLY want to see. More comments, faster updates.
