Eggman spent 3 hours healing Cykreeus, first he sew his wounds then he put him in the healing capsule.
He followed his progress closely, for now it was going well. He used parts from his robots to close Cykreeus's wounds which made the third of Cykreeus's body robotic. His robots were keeping him company and helped him whenever he needed something.
A small screen in front of the capsule read in shiny green letters:
99% COMPLETE
Eggman knew it was almost time so he prepared the bed once again in order to bring the healed Cykreeus there
When he made the bed the capsule started beeping, Eggman turned around and saw the screen now read 100% COMPLETE
He took out a small remote and clicked a red button on it, the capsule glass started lowering with steam coming out of it. A few seconds later Cykreeus made a step out of the capsule and held his hand on his forehead, when he fully exited the capsule he started walking around
"Y-You shouldn't move too much, you were just healed" Eggman said
Cykreeus ignored him as he stumbled upon a mirror, he was still in his base form, big, black fur, blood red spirally eyes, purple skin, red vest and a chain. He was amazed to realize he did not even feel pain anymore, he was fully healed
Cykreeus smiled at Eggman
"Well doctor, I have to hand it to you. Your technology truly is outstanding"
"Thank you Cykreeus, now if you remember our little agreement…" Eggman said
Cykreeus was listening until something caught his eye on the table, there were newspapers so he decided to see what happened while he was gone. He took the newspapers and started reading
When he turned another page his face made a shocked expression
What he managed to see was the part where Vic and the entire Cykresian race were brought back to life, Cykreeus didn't know how exactly it happened but he was happy that now he could take revenge not only on Vicious but on his entire race
"Thank you for everything Robotnik, however I have a small score to settle…" Cykreeus said as he turned away
"Cykreeus, we won't attack Vicious yet, we have to wait for the right moment…"
When Eggman said that Cykreeus's face turned from neutral to the one of anger
"I'm sorry Robotnik but if you thought for a second that I would obey you, you are gravely mistaken…"
Eggman also became angry as soon as he heard that
"W-What is that supposed to mean?! We had an agreement! You tricked me!"
"You're very observant old man, so this is how it's gonna go…"
Before Cykreeus could finish his sentence Eggman started chuckling, which increased in intensity, until the chuckling became a full on evil laughter
Eggman took another remote and pressed a blue button on it, it opened 4 square holes around Cykreeus. When the holes fully opened there were machines that extended from them, Cykreeus looked at Eggman as If he was asking him what now
A grin formed on Eggman's face as he pressed another button on his remote, when he did the machines shot lightning towards Cykreeus, electrocuting him and bringing him on his knees.
"Did you really think I didn't prepare any measures if this were to happen? Now you will be forced to exactly as I say! Muhahahahaha!"
Cykreeus smirked
It was somewhat painful for him in the beginning but after a few seconds Cykreeus stood on his feet like nothing happened and started laughing in a malevolent matter.
Eggman was shocked, those were million volts, there was no way Cykreeus could even stand after that
"So, you thought you could restrain me that easily? I take it back, you're not that smart after all…"
Cykreeus then spread his arms and released a fiery shockwave, the shockwave was so strong it knocked both the machines as they crashed the wall
"This isn't over!" Eggman proclaimed as he took out another remote and pressed a green button
"Not another trick…" Cykreeus said in annoyed tone
As soon as Eggman pressed the button, a hole in the ceiling opened in a square shape. Out from it fell one of Eggman's greatest creations, Metallix. It was a robot that looked similarly to Sonic but was taller and had a yellow line with a red glow for eyes. It tapped in it's super form and flashed yellow as he did so, it took out its laser swords that were turquoise and stood in guard
Cykreeus didn't look amazed
"I guess I will be fighting it?"
"Yes Cykreeus, this is your end! I will make sure you come back right where you came from!"
He extended his index finger towards Cykreeus
"Metallix, attack!"
Metallix produced a robotic sound as a confirmation to it's master's orders before powering up again, yellow fire-like aura surrounding it. It primed his sabers and dashed towards Cykreeus, it slashed it's saber horizontally in order to behead Cykreeus but he ducked and engulfed his fist with fire. Before Metallix noticed it Cykreeus hit it in the chin sending it flying towards the ceiling, however Metallix managed to stop himself before hitting it.
As it stopped itself it primed it's arm cannon and began firing 3 yellow energy balls towards Cykreeus, Cykreeus teleported behind Metallix and did a fire spin-dash in order to knock it off the ceiling and towards the ground. It was successful, he began pushing Metallix even deeper but Metallix activated his shield and knocked Cykreeus back.
Cykreeus smirked, to him this battle was really fun, that's why he was holding back.
Metallix curled into a ball and started spinning before dashing towards Cykreeus, Cykreeus swiftly dodged it and waited for another attack. Mettalix certainly did not disappoint as it turned around and dashed towards Cykreeus again, this time Cykreeus blocked it and set it on fire. Metallix made robotic sounds of pain as it was burning, however it managed to recover from the attack with it's healing mechanisms.
Mettalix stood up and primed its sabers again, this time it charged towards him and started slashing both vertically and horizontally at full speed. Cykreeus swiftly dodged all the swipes and was doing so for 10 seconds until he extended his hands to stop Metallix's, he was successful. He then started powering up, red aura surrounding him before he ripped Metallix's arms off. Metallix let out a mechanical sounds of pain as it began stepping back from Cykreeus, sparks erupted from it's hands as it did so.
Cykreeus smirked and threw it's hand at it
"You dropped these" he said as if it was a sick joke
Metallix did not give up, his eyes started glowing before it shot a yellow laser. Cykreeus was able to anticipate it as he cocked his head to the side and evaded it. The laser hit the wall behind him and exploded as it made contact, Cykreeus primed his axe.
He realized this has gone on for long enough
Before Metallix charged another laser shot Cykreeus flew past it, slicing it's head off with his Dark Axe in the process. Before Metallix's head hit the ground Cykreeus caught it and kicked it towards Eggman who was now backing in fear, he missed on purpose, he just wanted to scare the doctor.
Cykreeus rushed towards Eggman, grabbed him by his clothes and pinned him to the wall.
"Now, here's the deal. Since I see your technology as useful for my plans I will offer you a choice, you will either help me in getting my revenge"
Cykreeus gestured towards now dismembered Metallix before continuing
"Or you will end up just like your invention"
Eggman was too shocked to talk, Cykreeus didn't like that
"What will it be, Robotnik?"
To emphasize his point, Cykreeus primed his axe again and pointed it's top to Eggman's neck
"A-All right! I will help you, just don't kill me! Please!" Eggman begged
Cykreeus finally settled down and let go of Robotnik
"A wise decision"
Eggman took Metallix's parts and put it on the table so he could fix it later
"Now, as I said your technology will be of use for me in order to execute my revenge. However you will also benefit from this, with my energy powering your robots your army will be stronger than ever before."
Cykreeus smirked
"In other words, you will have more power than you ever dreamed of"
That statement caused a sinister smirk to appear on Eggman's face
"Well then, I guess we have a deal partner"
Cykreeus smirked, he started to actually like Robotnik
"We sure do partner, shall we get to work? I did not destroy Metallix on purpose, with my energy I intend to make it stronger than ever. Together, we will conquer not only Mobius, but the entire universe!"
They both laughed evilly
Meanwhile, Sally and Vicious were leading a discussion in order how to prepare if Eggman decides to strike again, he hasn't been active for a year which is something that worried them. They never knew if he was planning something big
"Although I agree with your idea I don't think either Freedom Fighters or my soldiers should risk their lives just for gathering Intel" Vic stated
"I know, but what if Eggman strikes us out of the blue? There will be casualties anyway, it's better if we investigate so we can know what to expect"
"I understand your point, however the Death Egg is a very dangerous place. I saw it with my own eyes" Vic said as he remembered everything, he remembered when Emily was killed in her Troll form back then and when his daughters were reduced back to babies
"Therefore, I think it's unwise to send our people there. First, we would unnecessarily provoke Eggman that way, secondly they most likely wouldn't come back. My suggestion is to increase the security of both my kingdom and Mobotropolis and stay in contact in case something does happen. In my opinion that is the best solution, what do you think?"
Sally took a moment to process everything the Cykresian king suggested, before realizing he was right
"Well, that is a good solution. That way we can prepare for anything Eggman might throw at us, with our soilders prepared for the attack we might even reduce the casualties!"
Sally liked Vic's way of thinking, Sally would usually burn herself out in order to make the wisest decision, while Vic usually tries to find the simplest yet effective solution for every problem.
"Eggman's more dangerous than ever, I will have to increase the training rates at the Cykresian Fighting Academy."
Another significant project Vic built for his kingdom was the Cykresian Fighting Academy (CFA for short), it was a place where Cykresians learned how to fight in order to either join the military or the police force. Despite having duties as a king, Vic was also the homeroom teacher there, usually going there to teach his students how to fight.
Every teacher in CFA had a group of students he took under his wing, the max of students allowed in a team was 5. Vicious made a team of 3 students, the team number was 10.
His students' names were Oliver, Alan and Iris
Oliver was a fire type Cykresian with blond fur, light skin and green spirally eyes. Oliver was a cheerful, carefree and fun-loving Cykresian, he had a dream of inheriting Vic's throne before his son did. Vic was supporting his dream unconditionally, he also found out Oliver had a crush on Iris so he encouraged him to become stronger to become a king and win Iris's heart.
Alan was a wind type Cykresian with gray fur, blue spirally eyes and light skin. He was a more serious, aloof and stern Cykresian than his friend. The reason Vic chose him was because he noticed how talented Alan was, he saw a big potential inside of him. The only problem was his insecurity, as his master Vic will make sure to train him in order for him to overcome it.
Iris was a female water type Cykresian, she had light blue fur and light skin and her spirally eyes were yellow. She was sweet and friendly, always looking out for her teammates. Oliver was Emily's favorite student out of the 3, she would sometimes even ship him with Iris as she thought Iris deserved someone like him.
Even though Vic was the only lightning type he would help them hone their skills for their elements, in addition to the other Cykresian teachers who shared their elements.
As he was the king it was expected of Vicious to choose the strongest students for his team, however Lucio and Iris were one of the weaker students yet he still picked them. That decision surprised even the teachers, Vic said he saw a big potential in both Lucio and Iris.
Then, Vic realized something
He spaced out again
"Oh my…Sally I'm sorry. It happens that I space out sometimes, so I take it the decision has been reached?" Vic asked
"Yes, as soon as I return to Mobotropolis I will order for the security increase. I would advise you the same"
"All right, then I guess we can part our ways" Vic said as he smiled, Sally extended her arm which Vic promptly shook
In that moment he heard the door open as Emily came in with Tobias crying in her arms
"Oh, I'm so sorry for interrupting but Tobias needs a diaper change" Emily smiled
"Oh my…" the baby immediately caught Sally's attention
"Emily, I thought you haven't given birth yet!" Sally said as she came closed to look at him
"Well, you can see I did" she chuckled
"Is it a girl?" Sally asked
"No, it's a boy. His name is Tobias, he was born in May."
"Oh, he is so cute!" Sally commented
Tobias stopped crying for a second and looked at Sally, when he did he let out a laugh
"Oh, I'm sorry I forgot you need to change him! Don't mind me, go on!" Sally gestured as she said that
"Okay, see ya!" Emily said before walking to the other room with her son
"So what do you think of the little guy?" Vic asked
"He kinda looks like you…with the exception of having Emily's fur and skin color"
"Yep, everyone says that" Vic said
Sally realized it was time to go back to Mobotropolis, she had other things to take care of. It mostly included Freedom Fighters
"Vic, thanks for giving me a good advice. We will keep in touch, just in case something new happens"
"You got it, do you want another coffee before you go?" Vic offered
"No thanks, I have to hurry. It's nice of you to offer though!"
Sally shook hands with Vic once more before making her way towards the door
"See you again Vic!" Sally said before opening the door and leaving the office
Vic waved his hand towards her as she was closing the door, he then went to the room where Emily was to check if everything was fine
It was as if universe was reading his thoughts as just in that moment the door opened revealing Emily holding their now calm son resting peacefully in her arms
Vic smiled
"I was just about to check in on you"
"Don't worry honey, we're fine. Tobias just needed a diaper change"
"How did the meeting with Sally go?" Emily asked
"Well, we mainly discussed about the solution if Eggman came to attack again. He hasn't been active for a year, we were worried if he planned something big. I will order for the security increase in Cykrease, just in case."
"Yeah, that might be the best option. Eggman sure got more serious over the years" Emily commented as they remembered the Death Egg showdown back when Cassandra and Tia were still teens
"Yeah, that's why we have to be prepared at any moment" Vic said
Indeed, Vic was right.
Tonight would be the night that will be recorded in the Cykresian history
In the Death Egg things went much more smoothly in comparison to the Cykrease kingdom, Cykreeus was powering Eggman's robots and machines with his energy. Metallix was also repaired, with Cykreeus's energy it was far stronger than before. However the most significant robot out of these would be The Metal Overlord.
The Metal Overlord was Eggman's masterpiece.
It was designed in a similar way to Metal Sonic but with VERY noticeable differences
It had the shape of a giant mechanical dragon of blue color. He had the back of the body covered with spikes, longer on the shoulders, shorter on the back. He had a long, curved purple tail and two black eyes with red irises, aligned vertically. His right arm was a flamethrower, and his left arm has a hand with claws that can be launched like rockets. He had no legs. It also had wings with the connecting cables hanging down in the lower body.
It also had an energy blaster built in his mouth, being able to fire either charged shots and beams from it's mouth or to fire plasma energy bullets like a machine gun
Eggman looked at his masterpiece proudly with Cykreeus transmitting some of his energy to it. As soon as it was finished he signaled Eggman to activate it. Eggman did as he was told
He clicked a button on the control board causing Overlord's eyes to start flaring red, it looked around and saw Cykreeus near him and Eggman on the other side behind the armored glass
Cykreeus smirked as he looked out of the window towards Mobius
"Tonight is the night of the second Cykresian genocide…this is gonna be fun" Cykreeus thought to himself
As you can see things are heating up, this time it was a little more action packed than the first three.
Let's just say the next 2 chapters will be the turning point of the entire story, you will see what I mean the moment they are uploaded.
