I ran across the rocky plain, through a field of flowers and towards the coast that lead towards the sea, and saw Luke sitting alone with Resus and Cleo. They were giving themselves a little time to think. I raced up to them and sat next to them. I placed my hand on Luke's shoulder. "Hey…sorry you got abandoned because of the powers that be. They wanted you to be safe for your parents' sake." "Mmmmm, yeah." responded Luke, "How I miss the good old days, when CBBC was truly British, not a single hint of Americanisation in sight." "Me too," said Resus, "I'm beginning to miss my attempts at becoming a true vampire." "Now that I have to hang out with other girls, I feel empty inside without the boys." said Cleo. "But I don't want you to change because of a single second season! You, Luke and Resus are a team. No, not just a team. A family. My family. You and your friends are the only stop-motion survivors on the island. Stop motion is becoming a rarity on TV these days. They're abandoning it in favour of other animation styles, like…CGi?" "I hate CGi." said Resus. "Me too," said Cleo. "Yeah, CGi sucks. Remember Paw Patrol? It was what caused all this. I hate that show, and so do you. I wish the pups returned to the kennels where they belonged." "I wish that too…but you know what?" asked Luke. "What?" I asked. "We'll plan to make shows like Paw Patrol stop motion and hand drawn again, just like in old times." I gasped in excitement. "You mean I can do literally anything?!" I asked. "Anything," said Cleo.

Suddenly, the sky darkened, and lightning began to flash. Resus squealed and hid behind Luke. "Don't be a wuss, Resus, it's just a force of nature," said Luke. "Yes, don't…" I said, looking very concerned. Small drops of water began to fall out of the sky. At first, it was just a light shower, but suddenly, it turned into a heavy rainstorm. "Oh my god, it's raining…" I said. Then, I jumped up to my feet and yelled it louder. "IT'S RAINING!" Luke, Resus and Cleo jumped up and down, hugging each other in delight. "The goddesses on the moon have answered our plea!" cried Cleo. "It's the first rainstorm we've ever had in months!" cried Luke. Suddenly, we heard a bark, and Dig approached us, his fur dripping with water. "Hi, Dig, what is it boy?" Dig barked, and ran off through the field. "He wants us to follow him." said Cleo, "Maybe he senses something. Come on!" We followed Dig deep into the forest, our feet squelching in the mud, kicking up leaves so they fluttered in the heavy wind, our hair blowing in the heavy wind. We got to the river, and that was when we saw something we could not believe.

The dry, cracked river was filling up with water! It trickled downstream and got deeper and deeper. We were getting delighted over the slight trickle of water turning into a full cycle of flowing goodness. Luke, Resus, Cleo and I ran faster, trying to keep up with the water, until we got to the lake. The river water along with the rain fell onto the dry lakebed, causing it to get muddy and moist. Then, it magically filled up to the brim with fresh, clean water. "The goddesses HAVE answered our plea!" cried Resus, jumping up and down. "Water! Oh, good boy, Dig, good boy!" I cried. Dig barked happily, as if to say thank you. Luella, Six and Dixon were passing by, so I let out a great roar. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR! WATER, COME ON!" I shouted. "We finally have water?" asked Luella, "Yay!" She raced off, closely followed by her friends, and soon we were all drinking from the full up river, which was clean and healthy and filled with nice, cold water. Dig and Lulu were drinking from the lake, too, and whoever thought we drank when the rains were at their heaviest?

Luella suddenly took off her gloves and made a big, muddy ball out of the mud she was kneeling in. She then threw it right at Resus' face. "Got you, my dark angel!" she cried. Everyone shouted and cried out in delight. "I officially declare a mud fight!" I shouted, and at once everyone started gathering up muddy patches and throwing them at each other. Everyone was racing about, hiding from the mud that was thrown at them. We had two teams: Luke, Resus, Cleo and Dig were on my team, and Luella had a team which consisted of her, Six and Dixon. We raced out of the forest and into the canyon, where I found myself running from Luella's team across the narrow edges. Dixon raced in front of me, and hit me right in the face, but I pushed past him and raced across. There was a narrow, steep ledge leading way down into the lake. Luke, Resus, Cleo and Dig barged in, afraid and laughing like crazy. "There's only one way to escape this, Violet," said Luke, "We have to jump!" "Why?" "Just jump!" Luella's team was getting closer and closer. "Jump on three!" I cried, "ONE! TWO! THREE!" We found ourselves falling down the cliff, tumbling onto the hard rock and landing with a splash into the water.

Luella and her friends screeched to a halt and saw the water far below turn to a trickle of blood. "OMG…it's bleeding!" "Come on," said Six, and they made it to the edge of the riverbank, where I climbed out with Luke, Resus and Cleo. I had my head down, breathing heavily. Luella and her friends helped Luke and his friends up. "What's wrong with Violet?" asked Dixon. "And why is there blood pouring out of her cheeks? AAH! She's bleeding!" "Be quiet." said Cleo. "We need to examine her more carefully." When I finally did lift my head up, it was revealed that I had a big scar on my cheek, dripping with blood. The monster kids screamed. "I am definitely not drinking that," said Resus. "Don't…bandage…up…my mouth," I said. "You're only young, young children need serious looking after." said Cleo. "I wanted to say this was the coolest thing I've ever seen…but now my chance is ruined." said Luke. "Poor thing, we never should've jumped. We should've judged Luella and the others as our friends." I huddled next to Luke. "I…I'm sorry." "You shan't be sorry to me, you're supposed to be sorry to Luella." said Luke. "I didn't start the dirt fight!" I looked at Luke, then I looked at Luella. Tears filled up in my eyes. "I'm sorry, Luella," I whimpered, and I nestled into her arms. "Next time we have a dirt fight, make sure we do it near the closest mud puddle."

As it got dark, I sat with my friends by the edge of the river in silence and looked around at the ambient surroundings. The water sounded like it was speaking to us, muttering its first words since it was banished from the forest. We heard the last few sounds of birdsong filled the air, and cherry blossoms fell gently all around us. I felt bored sitting there and examining my kingdom from the distance of a rock. My cheetah onesie had already dried, because it was later in the day. I looked at my friends, who were already pondering over what they had done. "Guys," I said softly, drawing their attention. "Have I ever told you the story of the lonely princess?" Everyone looked at each other in silence, and some even shook their heads. I cleared my throat and began. "Once there was a princess called Honey Apple. She was lonely, so she went to the magic forest to make friends. She made friends with three fairy princesses - Blackberry, Cherry and Blossom. They were good friends and had fun playing together, but then one day a huge forest fire roared through the trees, and turned the fairies to stone. Honey Apple was sad that her friends were gone, but since they turned to stone, she kept them by her bedside table, so she could love them forever."

Instead of ovation and proud remarks, I heard happy murmurings from my friends. "Is this your view on losing your best friends?" "Mmmm-hmmm. Luke," I said to Luke, "When you told me I'd become a goddess on the moon when I die, I was thinking about keeping a part of you forever." "I…I…" began Luke, but I went on: "There are lots of things people can do to remember their friends. They keep memories or photos or keepsakes like a stone or a bouquet of flowers. I want you to go to the moon with me when I die." "The moon? But it seems a long way away." said Luella. "No, I don't mean that." I said, "When we die, we turn to dust and become gods and goddesses of the moon. But first, we need plans for making the world our own. We start tomorrow." "Mmm, yeah," everyone mumbled. They all got up and went back to the fort to sleep. "No, wait!" I shouted, "Don't leave me!" Luke looked back. The look on his face, I won't forget. It made me look upset and scared at the same time. "She's only succeeded in making more enemies." he said in a low voice, then walked off into the fog.

Who? Who has succeeded in making more enemies? Cleo? Luella? Six? Anyone? Anyone….including me? I felt so shocked, yet so tired at the same time. My eyes were heavy as hell, so I snuggled down on the bank of the river and closed my eyes, falling asleep. It was at that point that I had the strangest dream…
