Hello and welcome to chapter 6. BLEACH IS BACK...! But sadly it's only available in Japanese, which is fine for those who don't mind Japanese with English subtitles, but I'm one of those who prefers anime in English Dub. Fortunately, Bleach TYBW will have it's English Dub in due time. Anyway, last time Ichigo and Rangiku received Mod Souls in the form of Kon and Momone and the two took advantage of their bodies and caused a bit of mischief. Now this chapter will focus primarily on Yasutora Sado, aka Chad, along with one or two other chapters. However, prepare to see come guest appearances from several different girls from two groups in the World of the Living. Also, another character is moving in with Ichigo, mostly out of necessity. Who you may ask? Read and find out.
Chapter 6:
Later that day, Ichigo, Rangiku, and Orihime were seen walking to school together, with Ichigo and Rangiku carrying their Mod Souls, Kon and Momone, in their respective Soul Candy forms. As much as Ichigo didn't like a pervert inhabiting his body while he was in his Soul Reaper form, he couldn't deny that Kon's physical attributes made him more than capable of protecting his friends while he was away in case a Hollow attacked. The same could be said for Momone inhabiting Rangiku's Gigai while Rangiku herself was in her Soul Reaper form. While the two Soul Reapers agreed to let their perverted Mod Souls inhabit their bodies whenever they were away in Soul Reaper form, they made it clear that they had to control themselves whenever they were away, especially while they were out in public. They also made it clear that they were not aloud to drag anyone else into their funny business, especially Orihime. Both Mod Souls agreed, but only as long as they were aloud to have some "funny business" with each other in private. They also warned them that if anyone else willingly got involved with their antics, including Orihime, they would not be responsible for whatever happened as a result, which both Soul Reapers reluctantly agreed to. WAIT… WHAT?!
Watching them from afar was Yoruichi who wanted to make sure that the incident from the previous day wouldn't happen again. Ichigo thought it was a little weird that a cat could talk, having only seen stuff like that on shows like Sailor Moon and Pokémon. However, he didn't have time to ponder on that thought at the moment. As he, Orihime, and Rangiku walked into the classroom, he could only pray that none of his friends would question that perverse behavior Kon and Momone displayed while inhabiting his and Rangiku's bodies.
Upon walking into the class, Ichigo was surprised that none of his classmates even remembered what had happened the other day. "Hey, Rangiku…?"
"Yeah, what is it," Rangiku answered.
"Is it just me or do my friends not even remember what happened the other day," Ichigo asked.
"Oh, that," Rangiku sighed. "I replaced their memories, so now only you, me, and Orihime remember the trouble our Mod Souls caused. I could restore their original memories if you'd like."
But Ichigo didn't want to go through the process of explaining everything to his friends and agreed to let their memories of that mess be lost. One individual however was looking at Ichigo and Rangiku with a serious expression on her face.
Outside, Yoruichi was watching from one of the trees found on campus. While observing them, Yoruichi took notice of a group of people with what looked like a cockatiel and noticed something strange about the bird.
"That's strange," said Yoruichi. "What was up with that bird? Could it be that that bird is more than what it appears to be? Whatever the case, I'll need to keep a close eye on that bird, just in case."
Yoruichi then left the campus in order to follow the strange bird. While following, nothing out of the ordinary happened at first. But then something happened and the individuals who were carrying the cage suddenly all fell victim to an unfortunate end. It was then that Yoruichi realized that something was definitely wrong, but couldn't do anything until more information was gathered.
At the campus, the three friends were on break on the rooftop when suddenly, Ichigo and Rangiku sensed something was wrong. Acting fast, they placed Kon and Momone's pills into their Soul Reaper forms.
"Kon, Momone, take care of things here," Rangiku ordered. "And behave yourselves."
"Don't worry about it," said Kon.
"Just leave it to us," said Momone.
Ichigo didn't trust them and said, "Orihime, keep an eye on them."
"I'll do my best," Orihime told him.
The two then left, leaving innocent Orihime to look after a pair of perverts.
"Looks like they're gone," said Kon. "And it doesn't look like anyone else is around."
"Well in that case, why don't we have some fun," said Momone sedductively.
"Oh, yeah," Kon agreed.
"Wait a minute you two," Orihime told them. "You can't do that kind of stuff up here…! What if someone comes up and sees you…?"
While making their way to the scene of the crime, Ichigo couldn't help but worry as to what those perverted Mod Souls could be doing, especially to poor innocent Orihime.
"Ichigo, what's on your mind," Rangiku called out.
"Was it really a wise thing to just leave Orihime with those two," Ichigo questioned. "They're both perverts and Orihime isn't… isn't…"
"Able to take care of herself against such people," Rangiku finished the sentence for him, not amused that Ichigo was treating Orihime like a damsel in destress. "Orihime's able to handle herself just fine, Ichigo. Don't forget, she was with our Mod Souls all day yesterday and never once did they make a move on her."
"I don't want to take any chances," Ichigo complained.
"Then go back and keep an eye on her for all I care," Rangiku told him. "I've got a Hollow to track down."
Rangiku then picked up the pace, but Ichigo followed in suit. But when they arrived at their destination, they saw and felt nothing.
"That's odd," Rangiku checked her soulphone. "I could have sworn it was just here."
"Looks like this was a wild goose chase," Ichigo complained. "And where the hell is Yoruichi?"
"We'll have time for that later," Rangiku told him. "Let's get back to school."
Back at the campus, Kon and Momone were molesting each other once more, though this time they were keeping the noise down. Kon was pinned to the wall near the stairs and Momone was the one pinning him there. While they were at it, Kon took the time to massage Momone's breasts while Momone took her time to rub her butt against Kon's crotch in response, much to each other's pleasure. Orihime kept watch in case Ichigo and Rangiku came back or one of the other students came barging in on them, especially Tatsuki.
"Oh, Kon," Momone moaned.
"Oh, Momone," Kon moaned.
"Keep quiet you two, you're going to draw unwanted attention to us," Orihime told them.
"Sorry, Orihime," Momone waved it off.
Before Orihime could say anything else, the door leading to the stairs opened up, causing all three to jump in surprise. Things only got worse when they saw who it was who came out from the door, it was Tatsuki and she wasn't looking too thrilled.
"What the hell is going on up here," Tatsuki demanded.
Kon and Momone struggled to come up with an explanation, but it was Orihime who was able to come up with something.
"Oh, Tatsuki," Orihime called out. "We were just trying out a scene for a play we just entered…"
"Save it, Orihime," Tatsuki cut her off, not buying it one bit. "Besides, I wasn't talking to you."
Tatsuki turned her attention to Kon and Momone. "I was talking to you two…! Those bodies belong to Ichigo and Rangiku, don't they?"
Kon and Momone both had frightened expressions on their faces, realizing that Tatsuki knows. Orihime was baffled as to how Tatsuki knew, having thought that Rangiku had erased her memories.
Before anyone could answer, Ichigo and Rangiku returned and were surprised by Tatsuki's presence.
"Tatsuki," Ichigo gasped. "What is she doing here?"
"I don't know," Rangiku answered.
Tatsuki turned her attention to Ichigo and Rangiku, somehow aware of their presence as Soul Reapers. "Ichigo, Rangiku, what is going on here?"
"Tatsuki, you can see us," Ichigo questioned.
"And I can hear you," Tatsuki answered. "I know what happened to Orihime's home that night. One of those monsters attacked and destroyed it."
Tatsuki then looked at the Mod Souls. "And those two protected me and Orihime's bodies while I was unconscious."
All five of them were shocked that Tatsuki still remembered what happened.
"Damn it, she must have resisted the memory replacement process somehow," Rangiku thought to herself. "Still, that doesn't explain how she can see me and Ichigo in our Soul Reaper forms. But then again, Orihime can still see us in our Soul Reaper forms. I'll have to figure this out later."
Tatsuki then explained, "I understand that Orihime is living with you right now and I was happy when you took her in, but I for one won't tolerate her being around those two perverts while you're away doing… whatever it is you're doing! Because of that, I'm moving in with you…!"
Everyone was shocked.
"Wait a minute, what," Ichigo gasped.
Tatsuki explained, "It's simple. If I move in with you, I'll be able to keep an eye on those two perverts inhabiting your bodies right now. That way, I can make sure that they don't try any funny business on Orihime. You know how innocent and airheaded she can be and I don't want those two taking advantage of her."
"Last time I checked, you got into a fight with me and lost," Momone reminded her.
"I'd like to see you try that again," Tatsuki ranted.
"Alright, alright you two," Ichigo broke them up. "Look Tatsuki, if you feel that strongly about it, then you can move in."
"This is turning into some dumb harem, isn't it," Ichigo thought, breaking the fourth wall.
Later after school, Ichigo and Rangiku were back in their bodies and they, Orihime, and Tatsuki arrived at Kurosaki clinic and told everyone the announcement. Naturally, Isshin was pleased that Ichigo got another girlfriend while Karin and Yuzu were a little skeptical with that claim. After that, the four made their way back to Ichigo's room where Ichigo showed Tatsuki the bunkbed they shared.
"So you're sleeping together in a bunkbed," Tatsuki questioned.
"Yeah, Orihime has the top bunk while Rangiku and I have the bottom bunk," Ichigo explained.
But Tatsuki wasn't going to tolerate this. "Well from now on, I've got the top bunk while Orihime will just have to share the bottom bunk with you two."
Orihime blushed at the thought of sleeping in the same bed with Ichigo, even if it meant sharing him with Rangiku. Ichigo however was worried. It was already bad enough that he somehow woke up with his head in Rangiku's cleavage every morning, but now he was worried that he would somehow do the same thing with Orihime.
Later that night back at the place where Ichigo found Kon's stuffed animal body, three boys were hanging out with the same cage containing the cockatiel, with one of them being Chad. For the other two, one of them was Gitano Shigeo, who had shoulder length blond hair and a goatee and wore a regular T-shirt with a short-sleeved button up and a Hawaiian-style print shirt over it. The other was Harutoki Ide. Observing them from the fence surrounding the place was Yoruichi.
"A cockatiel that's cursed," said Gitano.
"Uhu, all of that have owned this bird have gotten into these really terrible situations and died," Harutoki explained.
"Wow, are you serious," said Gitano. "That's not a good sign."
The bird in question was sitting in a bird cage listening into their conversation.
"Hey Shigeo, want to take him," said Harutoki.
But Gitano wasn't falling for it, "So tell me, just how stupid do I look to you? Here's an idea, why don't you just set him free or dump him someplace?"
"No that would be too cruel," said Harutoki before turning to Chad. "Well how about you, Chad? What do you say? Isn't he cute?"
"Hey nock if off, you know Chad's got a weakness for cute things," said Gitano.
"Interesting," Yoruichi thought. "So everyone who's owned that bird has met an unfortunate end just like those kids from earlier today.
Suddenly the bird chirped, warning the boys of a steel beam that was about to fall on their heads. Yoruichi caught wind of this and used superhuman speed to knock the steel beam away from Chad and his friends. However, a second beam came down and Chad blocked it using his body to catch it. Why he didn't use his hands to catch it was anyone's guess, but despite being hit by the steel beam and clearly injured, Chad didn't show any signs of pain, something that Shigeo, Harutoki, and Yoruichi took notice of.
"Ch-Chad," Harutoki gasped.
"Yeah, are you alright, Buddy," Shigeo asked.
"Yeah, I think I'm okay," Chad told them while clearly bleeding.
"Then howcome you're bleeding, bro," Harutoki asked.
Suddenly, the bird spoke, "Thank you so much for saving me."
Chad turned his attention towards the bird.
"Hello there," said the bird. "My name is Yūichi Shibata. So what's you're name mister?"
This freaked out Shigeo as he said, "What… Did you hear that? Th-That bird is talking just like a real person."
"Yeah, I heard it, it is cursed," said Harutoki.
"I'd really like to know your name, Mister," said Yūichi.
Chad then proceeded to introduce himself with his real name and his friends complimented on how he was interested in the bird. However, Yoruichi could see what was going on and knew right away that something had to be done, but still needed more information.
The next day, Ichigo woke up once again in Rangiku's cleavage. As usual, Ichigo jumped out of bed, waking up the girls in the process.
"This has to end at some point," Ichigo nursed his rump after landing on it.
"What's going on," Tatsuki rubbed her eyes.
"Oh nothing special," Rangiku told her. "Ichigo just so happened to wake up with his head in my cleavage again."
Ichigo and Orihime's faces both turned bone-white while Tatsuki's expression turned to one of anger.
"HE WHAT," Tatsuki jumped out of her bed and attacked Ichigo. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING ICHIGO…?"
"Believe me, I don't know how this keeps happening," Ichigo told her. "Besides, she's the one who… hey wait a minute! We don't have time for this! We've got to get ready…!"
Later that day, Ichigo and the girls were at school and were hanging out on the roof. It was there that Ichigo and Rangiku explained everything.
"Okay, so let me get this straight, Ichigo," said Tatsuki. "Rangiku here is someone called a Soul Reaper and she escorts souls to this place called the Soul Society? And she shared her Soul Reaper Powers with you, more than she had intended, and that's why she's taking classes in our school and living with you in your house? On top of that, your father was one of those Soul Reapers and that's why Rangiku is his former subordinate? And finally, those two inhabiting your bodies yesterday and the day before were things called Mod Souls?"
"Yeah, that about sums it up," Ichigo sighed in confirmation. "Their names are Kon and Momone, and as you know, they're perverts."
"Yeah, that much is fairly obvious," Tatsuki sneared at Kon in his stuffed animal body being too close to Orihime's cleavage. "I know Orihime said that she didn't mind Kon being in her cleavage, but like hell I'll let him take advantage of her innocent nature, especially whenever he's in your body."
"Well, as long as he only does that to Momone while she inhabits Rangiku's body, you won't have to worry about that," Ichigo ensured her. "Besides, I'm more worried about Orihime offering to join their frenzy."
"Perish the thought," Tatsuki sighed.
Suddenly, Rangiku got their attention, "Um, excuse me, how do I drink from this thing?"
"I thought you've been to the human world a good number of times," Ichigo sighed. "Shouldn't you know how to use one of those?"
"I spent my time buying my fancy clothes here," Rangiku explained while holding onto a juice cartrage.
"Well, you gotta poke a hole in it," Tatsuki explained.
"You just have to use the sharp end of your straw," Ichigo added.
"Huh, what straw," Rangiku inspected her juice cartrage. "Oh, that straw…?"
"Yeah, and see that circle at the top of the cartage," said Tatsuki.
Rangiku looked at the top and saw the circle. "Yeah, why…?"
"Well that's where you poke the hole," Ichigo explained.
"Oh, I think I get it now," Rangiku took the straw out of the plastic casing and did just as she was told.
Once that was done, Rangiku was able to drink her juice.
Just then a voice came out. "Together again huh…? You guys seem pretty chummy."
The four looked and saw Mizurio standing nearby with what looked like his lunch.
"Mizurio, shut up," Ichigo sighed. "I mean come on. Does it really look like we're chummy?"
"I don't know Ichigo," Rangiku took a sip of her juice. "You are hanging out with three beautiful girls here, myself, Orihime, and Tatsuki."
"Don't encourage him," Tatsuki sighed.
Mizurio looked at Rangiku. "Hi there, how're you doing."
"Well, hello there," Rangiku replied. "I'm Rangiku Matsumoto and you're… Mizurio?"
"That's me," Mizurio chuckled. "I guess we haven't been properly introduced. I'm Mizurio Kojima. I really like…"
"Picking up chucks," Ichigo interrupted.
Mizurio is startled by this. "Ichigo, that's not cool…!"
Ichigo then warned Rangiku, "Watch it, he might look like a dork, but he's a real player, seriously."
"Cut it out," Mizurio told him while the girls all giggled at the moment. "You've permanently damaged my reputation! Besides, Ichigo, you know older women are really more my style."
"Then I guess Rangiku is right up your ally," Ichigo teased, not realizing what he just unintentionally implied. "Like I said Rangiku, watch this one… WHA…!"
Ichigo's words were cut off as Rangiku once again smothered him in her breasts.
"How rude of you, Ichigo," Rangiku told Ichigo as he struggled to escape her grip. "You don't speak of a lady's age in public…!"
Ichigo broke free and ranted, "Will you stop doing that?!"
Just then a voice sprang out, "What the hell Ichigo…!"
Everyone looked and saw that it was Keigo.
"Rangiku Matsumoto, the hot transfer student, is shoving you of all people into her cleavage and you're having a hissy fit about it," Keigo complained. "And on top of that, Orihime and Tatsuki have moved in with you? How could you be so lucky and yet be so ungrateful about it?"
"I guess you could call it lucky, but it's not as glamorice as it sounds," Ichigo sighed.
Keigo turned his attention back to Rangiku. "Perhaps now you can let me adjust your shirt buttons now?"
Suddenly, Ichigo punched Keigo away.
"What the hell, Ichigo," Keigo cried. "Why did you punch me like that?"
"I thought you already got the message when she knocked you away earlier," Ichigo sighed.
"Gotten the message," Keigo cried.
While Ichigo and Keigo got into a bit of an argument, Mizurio noticed Kon cuddling in Orihime's bosom. "Hey Orihime, is that a new stuffed animal you've got?"
"Oh this, well yeah," Orihime answered. "Ichigo gave it to me as a way to help adjust to my new life at Kurosaki Clinic."
"Well, that's nice," Mizurio commented.
Suddenly, Chad showed up, covered in bandages and carrying Yūichi Shibata in his cage and the others took notice of him. Also present was Yoruichi who was watching from a distance.
"Hey Chad," said Ichigo.
Chad simply waved at Ichigo.
"So Chad, what's with the bandages," Ichigo questioned.
"Wow, you got hurt, ow," Keigo commented. "What happened to you?"
Chad simply answered, "I had a mishap… A steal beam fell on my head."
While Chad explained what happened, Rangiku decided to have a chat with Tatsuki.
"Remind me again who this guy is," Rangiku whispered.
"Yasutora Sado, but everyone calls him Chad," Tatsuki explained. "He and Ichigo are buddies, but he's a man of few words and he doesn't fight back against bullies unless someone else is being picked on."
"How come he doesn't say much," Rangiku asked.
"Who knows," said Tatsuki. "What I do know is that he and Ichigo had been going around, fighting off bullies for a while. However, I'm willing to bet that that persona will get him into trouble someday."
Chad then put the birdcage down, which caught everyone's attention.
"Hey, so where'd you get that bird," said Keigo.
"My name is Yūichi Shibata," Yūichi introduced himself. "It's nice to meet you. What's your name?"
At that moment, Ichigo, Rangiku, Orihime, Tatsuki, Kon, and Momone all got pale looks on their face.
"That is amazing," said Keigo, obviously oblivious to what was going on. "I mean the way this bird can talk is phenominal. My name is Keigo Asano."
"So Chad, where did you get this bird," Ichigo questioned.
Chad answered, "Someone… gave me him."
While Keigo went off on Chad for getting lazy and cutting his story short, Tatsuki and Orihime took their time to interrogate Ichigo, Rangiku, Kon, and Momone.
"Kon, what's going on," Orihime questioned.
"There's something strange about that bird," Kon explained. "I can tell you this, there's a human soul inside its body."
Kon then looked back at Orihime and told her, "But don't worry Orihime, because whatever is going on, I'll protect you."
"Oh please, Kon," said Momone. "That bird is harmless. So stop flirting with Orihime and try your luck with me."
"What's going on, Ichigo," said Tatsuki.
"Don't worry," Rangiku told them, getting their attention. "You're right, there's something in that bird, but it's not evil. It's likely a lonely soul, one that didn't have many friends. However, we can't leave it or it might become a Hollow. So tonight, we need to preform a Konsō."
"Oh great," said Ichigo. "That's just what I needed, another sleepless night."
"Well complaining won't help," Tatsuki pointed out.
"Yeah, I know," Ichigo sighed.
"It looks like Isshin wasn't kidding about Ichigo when he said that he's conserned about the safety of others despite not showing it," Rangiku thought. "Still, it's odd that he sensed the soul's presence. Could he be beginning to understand what it means to be a Soul Reaper? Even if he is, he still needs to make his decision."
"I gotta tell you," said Ichigo, getting Rangiku's attention. "Back in 8th Grade, that was when I first met Chad. The color of my hair always got people's attention, but not in a good way, and I'd end up in these fights. Actually, the day I met Chad, his timing couldn't have been better. I was in the middle of this little scrap."
Flashback:
Ichigo was surrounded by a group of thugs. While he fought back, he was quickly ganged up on. On thug wearing a nose rings came up to Ichigo began punching him in the face while two others held his arms back.
"These guys really meant business," Ichigo explained.
The thug then picked up a stone block and was about to strike Ichigo with it. But before the block could hit Ichigo, the thug was suddenly sent flying, catching the other thugs and Ichigo off guard. Everyone looked to see who had done that and there was Chad, who looked at the thugs as if to say "That's enough".
"Hey, who the hell," said the thug who was sent flying.
The rest of the thugs then ganged up on Chad, who didn't even bother budging. The lead thug then began punching him as revenge for earlier, but Chad didn't fight back, much to Ichigo' shock.
End of Flashback:
"And that was the day I met Chad," Ichigo explained.
"Wow, quite the story," Rangiku admitted.
"Yeah, Ichigo told me all about it not long after the event," Tatsuki explained. "I arrived on the area soon after it was over and Chad was already gone."
"And Chad never fights back, no matter how much people egg him on," Ichigo explained.
"He's an odd one," Rangiku admitted.
"Yeah," Ichigo agreed.
"At least he knows how to keep his cool," Tatsuki teased.
"Shut up," Ichigo retorted.
As Chad gave Yūichi a bird treat, Yoruichi was atop the stairway entrance and she knew that something was going to happen sooner or later.
Later that day and a place called Karakura Mart, three girls were shopping together. One was a very short girl with brown eyes, short blonde hair worn in spiky pigtails with her bangs clipped together by three clips wearing a white shirt and a red jogging suit with white lines running down from the shoulders and decorated with the first kanji of her name and yellow flip flops. One was a young woman with hazel eyes and short lime green hair wearing a white bodysuit with orange gloves, boots and scarf, along with a set o goggles atop her hair. And the last one was a young adult woman with turquoise eyes, long black hair in a braided ponytail with bangs in the front waring red oval glasses, a long sleeved sailor fuku with a teal green/blue collar and matching pleated miniskirt that ended at her stomach, completed with a pink neckerchief.
"I think that's enough," said the black haired girl, determining that they had gotten enough food. "We'd better get back to the hangout."
"It's about time," said the blonde. "We're just lucky you didn't get any erotic manga from here this time, Lisa."
"Watch it Hiyori," Lisa warned her.
"Come one guys," said the third girl. "It's not all that bad."
"Speak for yourself, Mashiro," Hiyori walked off to pay for the food.
Just as she started walking off, she bumped into another girl. This girl was slender with magenta eyes and matching colored long hair styled into two pigtails between which she wore a light-colored hat that had two extensions in the back made to look two rabbit's ears. A strand of hair hung down the right side of her face and she had a fringe over her forehead. She also wore a dark dress with white fabric over her breasts with a dark ribbon just above it and a pair of thigh-length boots to complete her outfit. The moment Hiyori bumped into this girl, the two fell on their bums and almost dropped the groceries they were carrying.
"Hey, watch where you're going, pink-hair," Hiyori snapped.
"You watch where you're going, you dumb blonde," the girl retorted.
"What's going on here," another woman entered the fray.
This woman was tall, had dark skin, straight hip-length dark hair, brown eyes and full lips. She wore a dark brown long-sleeved low cut shirt with form-fitted trousers and dark knee-length boots.
The woman looked and saw the two girls glaring at each other.
"Riruka, what are you doing," said the woman.
"Stay out of this Jackie," said Riruka. "This is between me and blonde here."
"Glad to here that there's something we can agree on," Hiyori complied.
The two glared at each other again as well as growled. But before things could get anymore out of hand, Mashiro bumped Hiyori on the back of her head, causing her to crash her lips onto Riruka's and the two kissed as a result. Moments later, the two separated and spat out the sensation much to the amusement of the other girls.
"That wasn't funny, Mashiro," Hiyori retorted.
"Enough," Lisa told them. "We don't want to draw attention to ourselves."
"The kid has a point," Jackie agreed. "We were never here."
"Neither were we," Lisa agreed.
All five girls then walked up to the store owners, payed for their groceries, and left the store, with Lisa, Hiyori, and Mashiro going in one direction and Riruka and Jackie going in another.
In one direction, Riruka was talking to Jackie about Hiyori. "Who does that blonde think she is? She bumps into me and tells me to watch where I'm going? She should watch where she's going!"
"Better not pick a fight with someone you can't beat," Jackie told her. "Those three were Soul Reapers and high-ranking one from what I could tell."
"Yikes," Riruka gasped. "Do you think Ginjo could defeat those three?"
"Doubtful considering that they were most-likely lieutenant-level," Jackie replied.
In the other direction, Hiyori was talking to Mashiro and Lisa about Riruka. "The nerve of that pink-haired pigtail…! She stands in my way and doesn't bother to move out?"
"Technically, her hair is colored magenta, not pink," Mashiro pointed out.
"Besides, it was your own fault for not paying attention to where you were going in the first place," Lisa pointed out. "In any case, those two were Fullbringers and we would be better not to provoke them since we don't know what they can do or the full extent of their powers."
"Whatever," said Hiyori.
Suddenly, the three girls noticed what looked like a bat-like hollow flying away from a certain area.
Curious, the three made their way towards the area, but upon arrival, they saw a big car wreck with one of the victims being Chad, who had a massive wound on his back. Next to him was that same cage with Yūichi panicking.
"Yikes," said Hiyori indifferently.
"I'd better call 911," Lisa did just that.
Mashiro then noticed Yoruichi. "Hey, Yoruichi…!"
Yoruichi looked at the girls. "What are you three doing here?"
"We could be asking you that," Hiyori replied.
"We'll have time for that later," Yoruichi then transformed from a black cat into a human before gestering to Chad. "Now let's get this guy to Kurosaki Clinic."
"Put on some clothes you streaker," Hiyori retorted.
Later at Kurosaki Clinic, Ichigo and the girls returned only to find Yuzu and Karin dressed in nurse outfits, carrying around medical supplies to the opperating rooms.
"What's got you kids so worked up," Rangiku questioned.
"An accident," Yuzu answered. "There was a big car wreck down at the corner."
"A big car wreck," Ichigo questioned before turning his attention to his father who was on the phone.
"I just told you, four cars," Isshin complained. "So you can't take that many? Well, here's a news flash, they got to go somewhere. We can't treat them all here, we're a small clinic. Listen tell your boss this is a request from Isshin Kurosaki. He'll find me some hospital beds that are open, no problem."
The caller questioned Isshin only for Isshin to tell the caller to just do it and hung up the phone.
"Damn stupid idiots, they wouldn't know a stethoscope from a cellphone," Isshin complained.
"Perhaps we can help," Tatsuki suggested. "I can keep the traffic under control."
"I think Orihime and I can help carry the patients around if they need help," Rangiku suggested.
"Sounds like a plan," Isshin agreed.
The girls all got into their positions.
"So is there anything I can do," Ichigo questioned.
"No," Isshin answered, much to Ichigo's disappointment. "Just assume that fetal position and stay out of the way."
Moments later, the girls emerged wearing nurse outfits and assumed their positions, with Tatsuki controlling the traffic while Orihime and Rangiku helped patients into the operating rooms. Ichigo however assumed the fetal position, disappointed that he was being left out while the others were all doing certain jobs in the clinic. The sight of the girls in nurse outfits did distract him for a moment as, while he wasn't as perverted as Kon, he couldn't deny that they looked good in those outfits as they showed off their figures a bit, especially in the case of Orihime and Rangiku.
Speaking of the latter, Rangiku noticed Ichigo sulking on the floor and walked up to him to comfort him. "Is something wrong, Ichigo?"
"No, don't worry about it," Ichigo told her.
"It's about what your father said, isn't it," Rangiku correctly guessed. "You don't need to deny it, Ichigo. We all care for you here. Still, if you don't want to talk about it, I won't force it."
Seeing Rangiku's kindness, Ichigo caved in and answered, "It is what my father said. All of you, even my sisters are playing a part in this, but I get the cold shoulder. I feel so useless."
"I've known your father for years Ichigo, and I'm sure he didn't mean to make you feel that way," Rangiku told him. "He's just stressed out with all of the patients coming into the clinic and not getting any help from Karakura Hospital. He'll cool down in time."
Hearing Rangiku's genuine kindness made Ichigo calm down. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks Rangiku."
Ichigo smiled at Rangiku and Rangiku returned the gesture. Then, perhaps on instinct, the two moved in close, but were cut off when Orihime came in informing them of one more patient.
"Ichigo, Rangiku, come quick," Orihime called out.
"What is it, Orihime," Ichigo asked.
"It's Chad," Orihime explained. "He was one of the victims in the accident!"
"Chad," Ichigo gasped.
Ichigo, Rangiku, and Orihime ran for the entrance and saw Chad being carried by Yuzu, Karin, and Tatsuki into the operating room. Do to Chad's weight, it wasn't easy. Chad was still carrying Yūichi's cage.
"CHAD…!"
"Well, don't just stand there, Ichigo," Tatsuki berated. "Help us out here…!"
"Oh, right," Ichigo ran up and carried Chad by his right arm while Tatsuki carried him by his left arm.
While they were carrying him, Rangiku couldn't help but notice Hiyori, Lisa, and Mashiro in the distance. But she quickly dismissed this and went to help out, leaving the three to leave without being seen. Yoruichi entered the clinic in cat form once more.
In the operating room, Isshin and the girls took off Chad's shirt and saw the massive wound on his back. It looked like the footprint of a dinosaur or something and it was colored dark red, no doubt from the blood loss.
"Wow, what a horrible wound," Yuzu commented.
"So what happened to you out there," Isshin questioned. "This looks like a nasty burn, but I think I can help you out."
"I've got a bad feeling about this," Ichigo whispered to Rangiku.
"No doubt, it was a Hollow attack," Rangiku whispered to Ichigo.
Yoruichi then got up close and personal to Yūichi to interrogate him. "Alright young man, what is going on?"
"You're a talking cat," said Yūichi.
"I'm Yoruichi Shihoin," said Yoruichi. "Now answer my question. What is going on?"
"Oh, sorry about this, Mr. Yoruichi," said Yūichi. "But sadly, I can't tell you…"
"What is going on," Yoruichi demanded. "You better start speaking before I decide to make a meal out of you."
Yūichi panicked and decided to tell Yoruichi what was happening, "Okay, okay, I'll talk…! Just please don't eat me…!"
Yoruichi then sat down and told Yūichi, "Start talking. What's going on with you and that Hollow?"
While Yoruichi was interrogating Yūichi, Isshin was treating Chad's wound as best he could. "With this wound, you're gonna have to take it easy for a while…"
"That's good," Chad got up off the bed and put his shirt back on. "I'm fine now, thanks for helping."
Isshin then questioned Chad if he realized how much blood he lost. Then, as if to answer through actions rather than words, Chad collapsed to the floor unconscious.
"Told you," said Isshin. "Yuzu, Karin, get a bed ready for him! Orihime, Tatsuki, help me get him off the floor!"
The girls did as they were told while Ichigo turned his attention to Rangiku.
Later, Ichigo, Rangiku, Orihime, and Tatsuki were in Ichigo's room where the humans were consulting the busty Soul Reaper about what she stated earlier.
"Are you sure it was a Hollow," Ichigo questioned.
"Positive," Rangiku confirmed. "Don't worry about the bird, it's perfectly harmless, but when I saw that wound, I could tell… It definitely came from a Hollow. Chad was probably trying to protect that bird when he was attacked."
"Oh dear," said Orihime
"What are we going to do about it," Tatsuki questioned.
"We'll have to preform a Konsō tonight before things get any hairier," Rangiku
"I'm afraid that won't be possible right now," said Yoruichi, who was right in front of Ichigo and Rangiku.
"Yoruichi," said Ichigo. "Where the hell were you?"
"I was following Chad," said Yoruichi. "I'm afraid the Hollow that wounded Chad is following that bird and it's the reason why Chad sustained those injuries."
Ichigo was horrified upon hearing this. "You saw and you didn't do anything to help him?"
Rangiku covered Ichigo's mouth. "Keep it down, Ichigo. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves."
Ichigo calmed down while Tatsuki was a bit bewildered upon seeing Yoruichi talking.
"If you wish to learn how I can talk, I'd advise you wait until later," said Yoruichi.
"Uh, okay," Tatsuki stuttered. "Anyway Yoruichi, how do you know that Hollow's following Chad's bird?"
"I interrogated it while Isshin was treating Chad's wound," Yoruichi explained. "And here's what I found out."
Flashback:
"Start talking," Yoruichi told Yūichi. What's going on with you and that Hollow?"
"I didn't mean for any of this to happen," Yūichi explained. "A few months ago, I was sucked out of my own body and placed into the body of this bird. The Hollow who's behind all of this said that if I can avoid him for at least three months straight, he would bring my mother back to life. Before that, my mother was killed by this serial killer while trying to protect me and then fell off of the balcony of the building we were ontop of at the time to his death."
Yoruichi put the pieces together and realized something that Yūichi didn't. "Listen to me, that Hollow is just using you to get his way. Even if he did bring your mother back, I don't believe she would want to be saved at the cost of so many other people's lives."
But Yūichi, desperate to see his mother again, didn't want to believe Yoruichi and replied, "You don't know what you're talking about! I've been lonely ever since my mother died! I just want to see her again!"
"Then perhaps you should think about what your mother would want," Yoruichi advised him before leaving for Ichigo's room.
End of Flashback:
"He actually believed such a lie," Rangiku gasped.
"I'll bet he wants to believe it," Tatsuki deduced. "Whatever the case, we can't let Chad or the bird leave this clinic alone!"
"Can't we restore Yūichi to his original body," Orihime questioned.
"That depends on his condition," Yoruichi answered. "However, considering that he's been in the body of that cocateal for so long, I'm not sure if we can return him to his body."
"We'll think of something," Ichigo told everyone. "For now, we should get some rest. We can't do anything about it if we're tired."
"Good idea," Tatsuki agreed.
"I'll sleep next to Yūichi," Yoruichi told them. "If Chad is anything like Ichigo described, there's a good chance that he will leave with Yūichi's cage the next morning, putting the kid's needs before his own."
With that, Ichigo and the girls got into bed, Tatsuki taking the top bunk while Ichigo shared the bottom buck with Rangiku and Orihime once again. Yoruichi went into Chad's room to keep an eye on Yūichi and Chad, making sure no funny business would happen while they were all asleep.
And that was chapter 6. So yeah, Tatsuki has moved in with Ichigo, mostly to keep Kon and Momone in line so that they don't take advantage of Orihime. Not only that, but she, like Orihime in the original, resisted the memory replacement. On top of that, we got to see some cameo appearances of Hiyori, Lisa, and Mashiro of the Vizards and Riruka and Jackie of Xcution, and for now at least, that's all they're going to play. They might have a bigger role later down the line, but for now that's all there is.
Now the next chapter will pick up where this chapter left off and we'll get to see Chad, Ichigo, and Rangiku battle against the Shrieker. But this time they won't be alone.
