I was wandering through a rocky, dusty gorge in silence, looking around at my surroundings. "LUKE!" I called. There was no response. I was beginning to panic. Where was Luke? Had he killed himself because one female member of the group betrayed him? Suddenly, I saw some rocks fall, along with something limp and lifeless. Then, a beautiful stallion rode past, coloured brown and white, with a golden mane. It leapt over the wreckage to reveal the dead body of a poor werewolf body. I was shocked. It morphed back into that of a human as I came closer. I then realised it wasn't just any dead body, but it was Luke! Down his chest his T-shirt was ripped and he had a huge scar which bled in huge amounts. "Luke? Luke, come on." There was no response. "Luke…you gotta get up. We have to go home." I tried checking for a pulse…but there wasn't any. Luke was dead. My eyes filled up with tears as I called out, "HELP! SOMEBODY! Anybody…help…" But no one came to help. A light wind filled the air as I huddled under Luke's arms, crying softly.

I woke up in tears, back in the forest. I looked around. It was night time now. I looked around. "Luke? Luke, where are you?!" There was no response. I looked deep into the river and saw a lonely little girl, without any friends. My tears fell into the water as I realised what I had done. My friends had left me because I was a bad leader. A bad leader who made poor decisions. I wandered through the forest grumpily, as fog shrouded the area. It was all mysterious and quiet, save for the howling wind blowing through the trees. "He's wrong," I grumbled, "Whoever betrayed him didn't. What did she do anyway, she couldn't change anything. She cannot change how they see the future…" I threw my head to the Heavens and screamed. "YOU SAID YOU'D ALWAYS BE THERE FOR ME!" And then, softer. "But now you're not…it's because of me. My poor leadership skills…they weren't there for anybody." Suddenly, I saw flashes of white fill my visions, and I saw a lioness cub mauling a lion by his eye, a yellow lion cub being killed and a pride of lions pouncing on top of one of their own. I fell onto the ground and screamed in pain.

Once I have calmed down, I started breathing heavily. I looked around, uncertain that someone, mainly Luke, will be here to answer my cries for help. Sadly, no one came. I went up to a tree and sat by it, with my head on my knees, thinking about how Luke discriminated against me for being a poor leader. What I didn't know was that carved into the tree was an image of a lioness with a limping leg, with the words, 'Moon Goddess' carved underneath. I began to hum a soft, gentle Latin tune to myself. I wandered from place to place in the forest, humming to myself.

On the cliffs…

Near the lake…

In the desert…

And watching over the fort. And for once, I didn't hear the snores and mumbles of my friends at all, they were asleep in the the place they call home. I got up and wandered away to a steep cliff overlooking the sea. It was peaceful there, because it gave you plenty of time to think. I resumed humming the tune to myself, but as I did, from the Heavens I heard a gentle voice humming the song. "Who's that?" I whispered softly over the humming. It sounded atmospheric and mysterious, as if someone were to emerge from Heaven and drag me to the moon any minute. I took off my hood, revealing a head of long-flowing, brown hair. I called louder, "WHO ARE YOU?!" But the voice didn't respond. It just kept on humming, until…

"Hm-hm-hm-hmmmmmm-hmmmmmm…"

With that, the voice faded away. I closed my eyes and felt the wind blow my hair. Some leaves flew past me and over the sea. All this mindfulness must've rotted my brain, perhaps I'm thinking wrong. At once, I heard voices in my head. Voices that I can't bare to shrug off.

"You made Resus a proper vampire, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?"

"No, I didn't!"

"You've been trouble ever since Season 2 aired on TV. You made friends with Cleo and refused to let her hang out with me and Resus! All you did was hang out all Summer with her! As a result, you made Resus a proper vampire! We preferred him as the shampire we all know!"

"But Luke, I-"

"No buts! As leader of this tribe, I sentence you to exile!"

"I-"

"You cannot escape it. My friends have been warped because of you…you made them who they were before I came to Scream Street!"

"No…no…NOOOOOOOOO!"

My eyes shot open. I realised something horrific: maybe it was Luella who betrayed the group. "Luke is right. The witch is a traitor after all. I must go and comfort her!" I ran across the field, into the forest and towards the fort just as morning shone its first warm rays of light out of the sky. The fort was empty, save for a heavy wind blowing. I saw Luella sitting alone, tears in her eyes. I felt sorry for her almost instantly. Hearing Luke arguing with her in my head, I walked up to her and sat next to her. We were both silent, gazing into each others' eyes. "If you're going to hang me, don't." said Luella. "I'm not going to hang you, it's not America." I responded. "America…what a horrible name. It took over British telly and I never wondered whether I could see another day." "Mmmm, PACT was right. They issued that Badass Wombles warning, and now it's come true." I said. "By the way, did you betray the group?" "What?" "Did you betray your friends?" "No, I didn't betray anyone. I'm not, like, fourth banana." There was another moment of silence as I saw how sad Luella looked. Then, she developed an outburst. "FAKE! SEASON 2 IS FAKE!" "Fake?" "YES! Nothing in this series was made by Tommy Donbavand. With these horrifying stories, he's spinning in his grave!" "I know, your creator died of cancer before this madness happened. I'm sorry." "Sorry? SORRY?! How can you be sorry over a show's downfall? I always wanted to have some friends, but now my chance is ruined." "Oh, Luella, don't be so hard on yourself. Season 2 is just a piece of rubbish rotting to the ground. As is every other show on there…Oswaldo, Pokemon, Clipheads…everything is just too annoying and irritating for us to bare. With me, you feel safe. Capiche?" Luella looked at me, her blue eyes gazing deeply into mine. "Yeah, I promise." Luella gave me a big hug, tears spilling from her eyes. "Thank you, my god angel." God angel? I wasn't called this before. "Thank you back," I whispered.

Later, we slept outside the fort under a beautiful starry sky with me snuggled in Six's arms. However, I kept my eyes open as I gazed at Luke. He was tossing and turning in his sleep, grunting about the female in the group who has betrayed him and his entire group. I was feeling scared, so I released myself from Six's arms and ran off into the field. I sat alone in the grass and looked up at the beautiful white full moon shining in the sky. I sat in silence for a full few minutes, gazing up at the moon. I sighed, and began to speak softly. "Oh moon, bringer of peace, please heed my call. Someone in my group called me a terrible leader, and I need your advice. I need to know who has betrayed us, and I want to know why our world came to be." I took off my hood and shut my eyes, my hair blowing in the wind. Suddenly, I heard the humming again, and a few sparkles lit up the sky. I looked up and heard a lion's roar. That roar sounded familiar. I felt a warm blue glow on my back, and when I turned around, I saw a huge blue lioness spirit gazing down at me with glowing eyes. It disappeared in a beam of light, and got smaller and smaller, until it burst, revealing a familiar figure. There was something about the huge gash around her eye, her limping leg and her tan coloured fur.

"Nothing!" I cried, and I ran to hug her. "I heard your plea, and I was sent down from the moon to help you through." "I thought you were Asra." I said. "I once was Asra. I was once a member of a fully fledged pride, and now that I have found the Shifting Place, I've become a goddess myself and ascended to the moon in peace. Someday, you shall be too." "That's what Luke told me. Sometime, he'll lash out at whoever betrayed him." "He won't when I reveal the truth to you." "You're going to take me deep into the past?" I asked. "Yes. We're going to see how this all happened. Hop on my back." I leapt onto Nothing's back, and she limped off across the field. After a few minutes, Nothing began to hum, her tones beautiful and soothing. It was the same song the voice in the sky hummed. "Er…Nothing, what song is that?" I asked. Nothing just kept on humming. She kept humming, until we came to a huge jungle. I gazed at the huge opening into the forest. "Nothing, does this lead to-" I began, but Nothing interrupted, "Hold on."

Nothing crashed through the leaves and began to run through the jungle, her limp slowly turning to a run, until she could walk on all fours again. "Nothing! Your leg! It's walking again!" I shouted as sounds of monkeys screeching and bird calls filled the air. Nothing ran faster and faster, until the entire forest around her turned into a blur, and she began floating across the abyss, into a beam of light. I opened my eyes, and found myself in a dense jungle. It looked tranquil and green, a sight to behold. Nothing helped me up. "Nothing, where are we?" I asked. "In Emerald Valley. Rain told me I was born there, but that's an entirely different story. This story involves you." "Me?" I asked, "But lions just don't become lions in the next life, whoever we are we can change into anything we want." "You don't just have to abide by your own laws. Come with me." Nothing lead me through the jungle, until I came to some palm leaves. "This is where you were born. Look."

Nothing brushed back the leaves to reveal a group of lions and lionesses cradling their newborn cubs. Two were coloured greyish white, as was their cub. The next family was coloured mustard yellow. The final family was coloured a deep shade of crimson red. "Can they see us?" "No, this is just a memory." "But it's not my memory. I was born to a human family." I said, confused. "Rain told me I was Kyoga. But I'm not Kyoga…you are." I was shocked! I never saw myself this happy before, cradled in my parents arms, as they washed me and cared for me. "I looked so happy." "You did. Those cubs you were born with are Lite and Karabi." "You mean the ones who fought over Kyoga in adulthood?" "Yeah. But back then, you were great friends. You were chosen by your goddesses as protectors of your kingdoms."

Everything went black around us as I asked, "But Nothing, how can I be Asra's chosen if we all descend to the moon and not Heaven?" "Let us see another beautiful day," said Nothing, and she blew into the wind. We peered through the leaves of the jungle to see an orangutan, a wise and kind one, anointing each cub with different coloured paint - blue for Asra, yellow for Suns and orange for Cansu. "Is this how my goddess chose me?" "They're visible in everything, including the paint that was anointed onto your forehead. You just never know what might happen next." Nothing spun round four times, and the scene changed again, this time to a few years later, when Kyoga, Lite and Karabi were cubs playing and tumbling about. "You're right, Nothing. I looked so happy with my friends." I said. "I could see myself playing under my queen's watchful gaze. If only I could be born with spots, then I would be the cheetah onesie-wearing girl everyone knows and loves." "You did live happily with your friends. However, there was one rule set by your father: never go near the Shifting Place. It isn't considered dangerous now, but it was labelled that because of a vicious lion that lived there: Blacktooth. He was a killer, and only steps outside his territory if there's food to be seen." I could hear cries from the cubs of "Hey! Come back here!" and "Bully!" and "No fair!" plus sounds of happy laughter. I was so busy looking at this happy sight, that I didn't realise that Nothing was walking through the leaves. "So, are you going to come with me?" I looked back at this happy memory, then I followed Nothing through the undergrowth.

As we walked, I heard a loud whooshing sound, and it seemed that day turned to night in a flash. Nothing and I emerged from the leaves and saw Kyoga, Karabi and Lite asleep with their parents in the jungle clearing. "One night," said Nothing, "The cubs would explore the Shifting Place, and their lives would change forever." Kyoga woke up to see Karabi and Lite looking bored. "Hey, why so bored?" "We can't venture beyond our territory, because our parents told us so. They told us to stay in our watch and not get into trouble." said Lite. "Well, we can go to the Shifting Place if we want. No one will mind." "Yeah!" cried Karabi. "Sssssshhhh…" said Lite and Kyoga. "You'll wake mum up! Now come on." Kyoga lead the cubs through the jungle, but it took a long time to get to the Shifting Place, so Kyoga said, "Want a race?" "You betcha!" said Light, and off they ran at top speed through the jungle, until they heard running water. They peered through the leaves and saw a river. It must be the Shifting Place! Kyoga instantly became worried. "But…but Blacktooth lives there. If we go into his territory, we'll be killed!" "Chicken chicken scaredy cat!" teased Lite. "Don't be a baby and get over there," said Karabi. "Look, girls, I'll go first. I'm no stranger to danger." Lite ran out into the Shifting Place. "Beat that!" Karabi followed. "Come on, Kyoga, how far can you go?" Kyoga thought for a moment, then leapt out into the Shifting Place. The three cubs looked over the cliff and could see the entire jungle, spread out like a blanket of lush greenery in the distance. They laugh and gave each other noogies, successful they reached the Shifting Place.

Suddenly, they heard a roar and Kyoga's father leapt out, grabbing her daughter by the scruff in his mouth and placing her back onto the grass. "What are you doing to her?" yelled Lite. "Stop being a murderer to her!" cried Karabi. "I'm not a murderer, I'm just very disappointed in her." He turned to his daughter. "I thought I told you never to go near the Shifting Place! I've been looking high and low for you, you could've been killed by Blacktooth." "I never went near his cave!" argued Kyoga, "He was asleep!" "But you didn't check!" said her father, "It was my job to ensure the safety of my family. We have to go home." "But you can't do this to-" Suddenly, a loud growl pierced the air, freezing the cubs in their tracks. "Cubs, run." said Kyoga's father. "But dad, I-" began Kyoga. "Just run!" he cried. The cubs did make a run for it and leapt into the bushes just as Blacktooth emerged, his black fur blowing in the wind, and bit down on Kyoga's father's neck. Kyoga, Lite and Karabi could do nothing but watch as their father fought with the most feared lion in the jungle. "He has to win." said Lite. "He has to." Blacktooth backed Kyoga's father up towards a cliff and scratched at him, causing him to rear him and fall. He grabbed onto the cliff for dear life, his paws slipping. Blacktooth loomed over him, his fangs showing, his teeth bared and sharp. Then he swiped at him, causing him to fall of the cliff to his death.

Over in the distance, Kyoga could hear her father's screams of pain as he fell to his death. "DAD!" she cried, but Lite interrupted. "There's no time. Quick, before he goes after you!" Kyoga, Lite and Karabi ran into a cave to hide. The next day, Kyoga, Lite and Karabi emerged and looked around. There was no sign of Blacktooth or another lion murderer in sight. "It's safe now," said Lite calmly. "We should just go home." They wandered through the jungle back home, Kyoga depressed because her father had been killed by the most feared lion in paradise. When they returned home, they saw a trickle of blood running through the grass. They peered through the leaves, and saw what they couldn't believe. Their parents were murdered. There was blood everywhere, even in the water in the lake nearby. There were huge gashes on their necks, and bloodied pawprints seemed to lead back to the Shifting Place. "NO!" cried Kyoga. "Dad!" cried Lite. "Mama!" cried Karabi. They were so upset that they had no choice but to run away. Far, far away, deep into the heart of the jungle.

Nothing and I ran across the jungle to keep up with them just as the sky magically skipped the days and nights to a few days later. We peered through the leaves and saw Kyoga, Karabi and Lite comforting each other, crying over the death of their parents. "You were really sad without your mother and father to guide you, but you weren't the only one. Karabi and Lite had lost their parents to Blacktooth too. You were all orphans, and you just couldn't take any more death. Then, on the night you were at your most miserable, a miracle happened." From out of the shadows, a large lion approached the three cubs. He was coloured the same fur colour as Karabi and had a large, fluffy mane. "So, you've lost your parents." he said to the cubs. "Yeah, we can't survive without them." said Lite. "They were killed by Blacktooth." "Let me tell you something, cubs: you're no longer princes and princesses. You're loners now." "You mean…our fathers and mothers are like kings and queens?" "That's what we call parents. By the way, I'm Korra, leader of the Emerald Valley tribe. No longer will you be considered princes and princesses. From now on, you are all loners. With us, you will become gods and goddesses. You're independent now, you can do things by yourselves. We don't need help, and neither do you. Come with me." And off they set into the bushes to start their new life with the Emerald Valley tribe.
