Chapter 15
Arizona's P.O.V:
"You should've seen her face today, Teddy. The look she had...almost seemed like she regretted ever being with me. It was so heartbreaking," I say, pacing our room.
"Okay, seriously, you need to sit your ass down. Your pacing is driving me crazy," she says. She grabs my shoulders and pushes me back to where I'm sitting on her bed, then takes the seat next to me, "Okay, so again, tell me what the hell happened,"
"I guess Major Hahn has a video of Callie and me,"
"How? Where did she get it from?"
"I don't know where she got it. But my guess is that it was from last night when we were in the shower room,"
"Okay, well maybe-wait, you guys did it in the shower?" knowing how serious this situation is, I tried not smile thinking about last night's activities, so I just nod my head, "Huh, so that's where you were," she says with an amused smile.
"Teddy!"
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry. But seriously though, what the hell were you thinking? Actually, you know what, don't answer to that. I don't really want to know," she says, shaking her head, "Okay, so what's going to happen? Are you guys breaking up?"
"We haven't made our relationship official, so we can't possibly break up,"
"You still haven't made it official? What the hell Robbins? It's been almost two months since you two started screwing like rabbits. What's taking so long?"
"Hey! Good things take time, you know. So, for right now, we're just having...fun," I tell her.
"Having fun? Well, let me tell you this, your fun time with Torres is pretty much just about over. You better hope Hahn doesn't get stupid and send that shit all around and tell Webber about it,"
"I know. I know," I groan, running my hands through my hair. The room fell silent for what seemed like forever before a knock on the door got our attention. I look to Teddy who only shrugged. She stood up and walked over to answer the door.
"Um...Lieutenant, h-" "Robbins here?" I heard Callie cut in.
"Yeah, she's on my bed. Everything okay?" Callie pushes her way through into the room.
"Can I have a word alone with Robbins, please?" Robbins? When does she ever call me that, especially in front of Teddy?
"Yeah, I'll just go," she says, then leaves the room.
"Is it true?" she asks.
"Is what true?" I asked, a little confused.
"Did you really almost kill a friend of yours drinking and driving," Shit! How did she know?
"Calliope I-" "No!" she cuts in, barely getting a word out.
"You told me that you were busted for drinking,"
"I was," I tell her, "I just-"
"Didn't tell me the whole damn story," she says, raising her voice.
"What did you want me to do, Callie? Straight up tell the girl that I really liked I that I got arrested and sent here because I nearly killed my girlfriend? Stuff takes time,"
"Yeah. But it could've avoided all this between us, Arizona. It could've avoided us from breaking up,"
"Breaking up? Hell, we were never a couple. You won't even label us, Callie. We were just two girls screwing each other to satisfy each other's needs," She stood there for what seemed like forever. Unable to speak. When she tried to open her mouth, no words came out.
"I'm going to go," she finally says, pointing toward the door, "I'll see you around, Robbins," she turns and walks out, leaving me standing there in silence.
It's been three weeks since mine and Callie's initial fight. She hasn't tried talking to me and every time I've tried to talk to her, but I always got shut down or was given the cold shoulder. During breakfast, I sat back and watched Callie have a conversation with Lieutenant Montgomery like nothing had ever happened between us. Every once in a while, I would catch Callie staring in my direction. Her expression showed nothing but sadness. Out of nowhere, a tap on the shoulder pulls my attention away from the brunette that I had grown close to. When I look up, Mark was standing behind me with a piece of paper in his hand.
"Hey Mark," I greet him with a sad smile.
"Hey, Blondie. I...um...well, Webber wants to see you," he says, handing me the piece of paper.
"Thanks," I whispered. Standing up from the table, I take my tray over to the trash to dump it, then head to Webber's office.
Giving a slight knock on the door, I hear a brief, "come in," before entering his office.
"You wanted to see me, sir?" I ask, opening the door and peaking my head in.
"Ah, Robbins, yes, come in and have a seat," I open the door more and enter his office. I take a seat in front of him and wait for what he had to say.
"So, it seems like you no longer need to be here,"
"Excuse me?" I say, cocking my eyebrows in confusion.
"You've officially graduated from West Point Academy, Congratulations,"
"How's that even possible sir?"
"Well, I emailed your father a few days ago, letting him know what kind of an improvement you've been making. I've also told him about your grades and how they are right where they needed to be, So, I got a call this morning and said he spoke to the judge, and they agreed to place you on probation for the remainder of your sentencing,"
"Oh," was all I could get out. This was the last thing I expected.
"Your father said that your mother should be here bright and early to take you home,"
"Right. My mother. With all due respect sir, but I don't think I'm really ready," I say, still in shock by the news.
"That's not my call, Robbins. So, I gave them an update on you, and he did all the rest. So, you may want to get a jump start on packing," he says, we both stand up from our seats and he walks to me to the door, "it was nice having you here, Robbins. Take care of yourself," he holds his hand out for me to shake, which I happily do.
"I will, Sir. Thanks a lot," I say.
*As I mentioned before, I don't know anything about Military schools or how they work. I'm just making stuff as I go. Also, after this chapter, I'm jumping ahead by a year. Hope you enjoy *
