TW: Glad you enjoyed it. That was entire point of War Doctor, he's so filled with self-loathing that he doesn't see himself for what he actually is.

THWA: Every villain is the hero of their own story, Kovarian is no different.

Jane led the group back into the kitchen, which once more had an assortment of food prepared on the table, courtesy of the TARDIS. They all sat down but no one made a move to grab any food, as the past viewers were still processing the events of the last recording. For a long moment, it was silent.

"So River is…" Mickey trailed off, breaking the silence.

"Yeah," Jane nodded in confirmation.

"Oi," Donna muttered, putting a hand to her forehead once more.

"I feel like I'm in some bizarre dream and I'm going to wake up back at home any minute now," Martha muttered.

"Sorry, it's reality," Jane said apologetically and Martha hung her head miserably.

Jack suddenly let out a loud laugh, startling them all. They all looked at him oddly as Jack managed to gain control over himself.

"Sorry, but I just realized if River is Amy and Rory's daughter, and River is The Doctor's wife…" Jack snickered as they all caught on.

"Blimey," Wilf said softly.

"Apparently Boss likes to keep it in the family this time around," Mickey muttered.

"This is ridiculous. Just…how?" Donna exclaimed, still trying to process everything.

"Time travel," Jane said with a sigh. "Kovarian has been watching Dad for a long time. When she figured out Amy was pregnant, she saw an opportunity and ran with it. The rest, as you say, is history."

"Who even is Kovarian?" Martha asked confused.

"The leader of the Silence," Jane said simply.

"I'm guessing you don't mean the aliens," Jack noted and she shook her head.

"The Silence is a group, which you'll learn more about in the next recording. They hate Dad because they believe he'll cause the end of the universe. Which, to be fair, he kind of did," Jane noted.

"Because of the Space Siren," Wilf realized and Jane nodded.

"But still, to go this far, to use a child," Jack said, horrified by the very thought and filled with a rage that would only be satisfied by Kovarian's extremely painful death.

"Hatred and fear can often cause you to lose sight of what is morally right. You should now that better than anyone Jack," Jane pointed out and Jack sighed.

"Fair enough," Jack admitted reluctantly.

"Okay, so if River is Amy and Rory's daughter…was she the one who pulled the trigger at the lake?" Martha asked, fearing the answer.

Jane was silent, but her silence was enough.

"Bloody Hell, this is a nightmare," Mickey muttered.

"Imagine how it must be for River," Donna whispered, remembering how much River had loved The Doctor from her meeting with River and her heart broke for River.

"That's why she's in prison. Because she killed The Doctor," Wilf realized in horror and the others realized he was right.

"That's what Octavian meant. That's why he didn't trust her," Jack caught on.

"And if she was in that suit, she probably didn't have a choice either," Donna said softly.

"This just gets more and more twisted," Martha muttered as she put her head in her hands, trying to wrap her mind around everything.

"You have no idea," Jane said quietly, knowing it was going to get even more twisted.

For several seconds, the room was silent, each of them caught up in their own thoughts.

"It's a lot to take in, I know. It messed with my head to when I first saw it," Jane said quietly. "But we need to keep going. There's still so much more you need to see."

"There always is," Martha sighed heavily. "I'm getting too old for this."

"At least you're still young," Wilf muttered.

"It'll take some time to wrap your head around, I know. Don't force it, you'll just give yourself a migraine," Jane said, smiling softly. "That's why we're taking this break, so you can adjust to this bombshell, as they call it and you can watch the next recordings with a clearer head."

"Sounds like a plan to me," Jack said as he finally began filling his plate.

The others began filling theirs as well, realizing how hungry they were. For now, they would eat and hopefully when they went back to the viewing room, the world would make a little more sense.

This break was more so that the past viewers could adjust to the knowledge that River is a Pond, because that kind of knowledge would mess with anyone's head. And now that it's out of the way, we'll get back to the viewing next chapter.
