(Before I start this chapter, I want to let you guys know that I will not be adding Hinata to Naruto's harem, I am not a fan of Naruhina and so Narusaku is my main Naruto OTP, but she will be with someone else)
On The Way To Wave
Land of Fire, Konoha, Hokage Tower, Mission Office
Team 7 was waiting for this Tazuna to enter the office while Satsuki looked at Naruto, who showed how to use the Farnsworth, "So what about this mission seems funky to you," She asked him.
Naruto turned to her, "When Jiji said that we're escorting a bridge builder back to his land, I remember something Kithon said," Naruto told them.
"Kithon," Kakashi asked as he pulled out his Ichi-Ichi book.
Naruto's eyes turned purple seeing the book, but he tried his best to focus, "She's an Angle, and she, like, all Angle was born with the power to feel distress and anguish around them," Naruto told them as Hiruzen narrowed his eyes.
The others also narrowed their eyes before a man came thru the door.
It was a grey-haired, bespectacled man with a large beard and dark eyes. He wore a sleeveless V-neck shirt with an obi, pants, and sandals. He also carried a towel around his neck and wore a pointed hat on his head.
Tazuna looked around and spotted team 7, "What's going on here," He asked as he took a sig of his drink, "Those three look like snot nose brats," He continued as he closed the door.
"The pink one looks like she's more into her looks; the black-haired one is an emo," He said as Kakashi held back both Satsuki and Sakura but forgot that Tazuna had one more person to insult, "And don't my start on the blond midget," He continued as he tops a sib out if the gourd in his hand.
Both female Genin grinned as Naruto burst forth with his automail arm drawn back, "DON'T CALL ME LITTLE," He yelled.
An Anbu moved Tazun out of the way of the streaked blond as he sailed by and punched the door, which burst into splinters.
Tazuna watched as Naruto's head started with a look that scared the shit out of them, "What did you call me," Naruto asked with a dark smile on his face.
"Nothing," Tzauna said as he looked frightened by the blond, "There going to kill me," He thought before coughing into his hand.
"Naruto, do not kill the client," Kakashi said lazily to the demigod.
Naruto narrowed his eyes as Tazuna coughed into his hand, "I'm Tazuna; I'm a bridge builder from Wave where I'll be finishing one of my greatest works, and I will need you to defend me on my way there," He told them.
Hiruzen moved his eyes over to Naruto to see if he was lying, only to get a slight shake.
The rest of team 7 spotted the exchange and relaxed a little bit, "Ok then, meet at the main gate in one hour," Kakashi told them as they nodded.
All three Gennin nodded their heads as they walked out.
Haruno Household
After a two-minute walk, Sakura got to her house, where she started to pack a bag with things she would need.
"Right, extra sets of clothes," Sakura said as she put some more of her dresses into the beg, "Check. Extra kunai and shuriken," She said as she grabbed a small bag of tools.
"Check," She continued as she placed more things into the backpack.
Mebuki looked at her child before gaining a small smile, "I remember when I was like that," She thought back to her days as a Konoha nin.
Mebuki walked up to her daughter, holding something in her hands.
"Sakura, I have something for you," She said to her daughter as she placed on Sakura's bed.
It was a red top with the same design as the upper half of her dress; on top of it were black gloves, low-heel, knee-high boots, black shorts underneath a short pink apron skirt, and grey elbow protectors.
There was also another Hitai-ate with a red cloth and a medical pouch.
And there were multiple sets of these clothes, "What's this," Sakura asked her mother.
"Before I became the market district owner and civilian council member, I was a Chūnin," She told Sakura, who nodded her head, "I wore something like these, and I think that you would like them," Mebuki told her.
Sakura looked at her clothes before nodding, taking out the clothes from her bag, putting them on the bed, and putting the other sets of clothes into the bag while she went to get changed into her new clothes.
Uchiha Compound, Satsuki's Home
As Satsuki got her bag ready and pleased, random in a backpack and some things in her back pouch, "Marbles, red wine, coffee beans, rations, a box of lizard teeth," Satsuki called each time as she placed each item in her backpack and pouch, "Feather from a crow, honey come and string," She said as she put the last thing in her pouch before making her way out.
She walks into the living room where both her parents are, "Mom, dad, I'm heading out on my first C-Rank mission," Satsuki tells them.
Fugaku looked up from his Konoha Times and nodded, "Where are you off to," He asked her.
"Land of Waves," She told him.
Mikoto walked up to her and looked her up and down before nodding, "You'll do good," She told her.
Satsuki made her face stoic to show that she was the Uchiha princess.
Fugaku looked at his daughter and gained a smile, "We're proud of you, Satsuki," He told her as he got up and handed her something, "It aided me when I was a Genin as it did your grandmother," He told her.
She looked at the scroll handed to her and saw it was a scroll, "This is a jutsu that was given to me by my mother," He told her.
Satsuki was about to open the scroll before her mother gave her another scroll, "And this is from me," Mikoto told her before giving her a look, "Now it's time for you to head off," She told her.
Satsuki looked at her mother, nodded, and headed to her first mission away from the village.
Uzumaki Compound, Naruto's Home
Naruto opened the door and summoned 5 Kage Bunshin to gather things while he walked into the living room, where he found Sumiho's child getting ready for her day at the academy, the civilian one and Lilith, who was drinking a cup of tea while his maids were working; Naruto could hear Sumiho in the kitchen, and he guessed that Hinoto was somewhere else in the building.
The living room had a wedge scarlet leather sofa with a large wooden coffee table.
Sumiho walked in, showing that she was dressed in a black dress with white trim, an above-knee length skirt, a White half-apron with lace, a lace headpiece, Stockings, a Lace garter, a Choker necklace and Pearls.
Lilith spotted Naruto entering the room and waved, "That was a short day," She said to him.
Naruto walked up to the coffee table and unrolled a scroll, and started to draw some seals on them, "I have a C Rank mission that's away from the village, but I think that something's up with it," Naruto said as he finished making the seals, "Sumiho, when your husband was doing business out of Konoha, did anything happen within the Land of Waves," Naruto asked his head maid not looking at her.
And when he entered, he did not see her clothing.
Sumiho gave her daughter her food and the same for Lilith while she looked in thought, "I think I remember something he said that the Gatō Transport had taken it for himself," She told him.
Naruto looked up at her and finally saw her clothes, "What is my uncle's sun are you wearing," Naruto asked her.
She pointed at Lilith and said, "She ordered me to," as Lilith gained a smile behind her tea.
Naruto shook his head before looking at her, "Gatō, isn't he the richest man in the world," Naruto asked her.
"Also the dirtiest," Sumiho told him as he said, "He has a large smuggling ring, deals and sells drugs and women," She told him before looking confused, "Why do you ask," She asked him.
Lilith put her tea down and interlocked her hand with a thinking look on her face.
"That's where my mission is," Naruto informed her as he narrowed his eyes, "Keep your Farnsworth ready if I need something," Naruto said to both of them.
"Got it," Lilith said as she saw Naruto's clones enter, carrying things and placing them on the seals.
"Fūin," Naruto called out as he flashed the tiger seal, and after a sequence of puffs of smoke, all things were sealed within the scroll.
Naruto started making his way out the door before saying, "It's 8:00," Naruto called out as he heard Sumiho yell at her child to get ready for school.
Konoha Main Gate
Naruto walked up to the main gate, where he found Tazuna, Satsuki and Sakura waiting for him; they looked at him, "Where's your stuff," Sakura asked.
Naruto held up a scroll, "In here," He told them.
"You know to seal," Sakura asked him as she walked up.
"It was one of the things that made the Uzumaki clan powerful," He told her as they started to wait for Kakashi.
And they did not have to wait long as Kakashi walked up to them after 10 minutes, "...," They looked at each other before nodding.
They each formed the tiger sign and called out, "Kai," hoping they would get rid of the Genjutsu put on them.
But it showed that it was not a Genjutsu.
Kakashi looked at them lazily, "Was that necessary," He asked them.
Sakura dropped the sign as she gave Kakashi a deadpan look, "For every other mission, you turn up 40 late," She told him.
"And for training, you're an hour late," Satsuki said as Kakashi looked at her.
"And don't get me started on the meetings needed for the village," Naruto said as Kakashi looked at him.
"How do you know I'm late to them," He asked the demigod.
"Lilith and Mikoto," Naruto said as Kakashi looked sad.
Kakashi shook his head before walking in front of them, "Are you ready," he asked them as they walked out.
As they left the village, Naruto was walking in front of Tazuna with Satsuki on the right and Sakura on the left, with Kakashi taking up the rear.
Naruto scared the path in front of him as he walked with Satsuki doing the same with her Sharingan.
After 5 hours down the road, Sakura turned to Kakashi, "Sensei, does the Land of Waves have any forces," She asked him as she scanned the road.
Kakashi looked up from his book and gained a proud look in his eye before responding, "No, they don't, as there are only 5 Kage," Kakashi told her before seeing Naruto's eyes focus on something.
Kakashi looked to where Naruto was looking and found that it was a large puddle.
He looked over at Satsuki and used his eye to point at the puddle, and she gave a slight nod.
She looked over at it before tapping two fingers on her leg, "So there are two of them," Kakashi thought, "Naruto, Sakura, change formation," Kakashi told them as they switched, with Sakura taking up the front and Naruto on the left.
Both sword users had their blades at the ready as they passed the puddle; two people started making their way out of the puddle and jumped at Kakashi.
Before they could wrap their bladed chains around the silver-haired man, Naruto and Satsuki appeared in front of them and slashed at them.
"What the fuck," One of them said as he blocked Satsuki's chokutō with his clawed gauntlet.
Naruto's blade burst into green flames as he slashed at the ninja, and the green flames jumped from the edge to him, "You brat," The ninja said.
Both tried to slash with their claws, but Naruto used his blade to move the claw out of the way.
Naruto raised his hand as a burnt orange burst of energy shot out of his hand; the ninja he was fighting jumped out of the way, but the blast hit his brother.
Satsuki went thou some seals before breathing out a fireball that engulfed the ninja as he screamed and knocked into his brother.
Both the burning ninja got up as the green flames flared and got on the other brother.
One ninja pumped forward with his claw forward that dug into Naruto's hand as he felt something get into his bloodstream.
At the same time, the other one jumped at Satsuki, going to do the same before she held out a ring that flashed yellow as Naruto's magic circle formed in front of her ring before the ground rose and blocked the strike.
Naruto starts to gather a Fire Blast Ball in his automail; the fireball seems bigger than he usually is before he fires it at the ninja he's fighting.
When it hit, the ninja looked like he was about to get killed; his brother looked shocked at the hit and did not see that Satsuki was behind him.
Satsuki raised her chokutō, gained lightning around it and cut thou the ninja she was fighting.
Before the fight could drag on anymore, two Kakashi appeared behind the ninja and hit them on the back of the neck, knocking them out.
Kakashi looked at the two downed ninjas before turning to his students, "You both did good," He told them before focusing on Naruto, "Is the poison going to affect you," He asked the streaked blond.
"Kurama destroyed it before it could affect me," Naruto told him as golden chains burst out of him and wrapped around the two, "If I'm not mistaken, they are Demon Brothers from Kiri," Naruto said as he looked at Kakashi.
"That's right, and they work for Zabuza Momochi," Kakashi added in as he and the Genin looked at Tazuna, "So do you want to tell me why you are lying about the mission," He asked the older man.
"I don't...," Tazuna started before Naruto cut him off.
"The Land of Waves is under the occupation of the Gatō Transport," Naruto told his sensei as Kakashi looked at the blond, "Sumiho told me, and he's been in occupation of Wave for a few years now," Naruto continued as he looked back at Tazuna.
"And since you never told us, I have the feeling that you never told Hokage-sama this either," Kakashi said as he walked up to him, "You want to tell us what's really going on," He asked him.
Tazuna looked around at each member of team 7 before sighing, "Me, along with a few others, are trying to take Wave out of Gatō's grasp," He told them.
Sakura narrowed her eyes as she thought before they became wide, "the bridge is your building," She commented.
He nodded, "It would connect with the land of fire and with it, the daimyō of this land would then send ninja to Wave," He told them as Kakashi gained a look in his eye.
"And to do that, it would be a team of Anbu who are the best of the best," Kakashi said as Tazuna nodded.
Naruto pulled out his Farnsworth, opened it, turned one of the knobs and pushed the button.
After a few seconds, a black and white picture showed Hiruzen's face on the small screen in front of him, "What can I do for you, Naruto," He asked the jinchūriki.
"The bridge builder lied about the mission as we just fought the Demon Brothers," Naruto told his leader.
"And they work with Zabuza Momochi," Hiruzen muttered to himself, "What else do you know," He asked Naruto.
"Gatō, head of the Gatō Transport, has taken control of the Land of Waves, and they plan on Anbu killing Gatō when his bridge is built," Naruto said as Hiruzen looked conflicted, "But I have a stupid idea," Naruto said as he closed his eyes.
"How stupid," He asked.
"Team 7 says with the mission, but now that it's an A-Rank mission, we are going to need help," Naruto said as Hiruzen nodded along, like the rest of his team, "Send aid in the form of teams 8; 9 and 10," Naurot continued as Hiruzen gained a look of thinking look.
"Is there a magic storehouse in Wave," Hiruzen asked Naruto, who nodded, "Then I'll send them, but first, you're going to need to find somewhere to camp for the night," He told them as the rest of team 7 looked at Tazuna.
"There's a spot not far from here that we can use to set up camp and wait," He said as a smile formed on his face before being wiped out by Hiruzen.
"Now, Tazuna-san, I know that you had your land in your mind when you were thinking about this, so I am going to be a bit lenient," Hiruzen told the man as Naruto turned the Farnsworth to look at Tazuna, "While Konoha will gladly be the ally of the Land of Waves, but we are going to need compensation for this to betrail," The Hokage continued.
Tazuna wanted to argue, but he knew what he had done, so he nodded, "I understand what compensation you would like," Tazuna asked him.
Hiruzen narrowed his eyes as he looked at the man thou the screen, "I'm sending 4 teams, that means 12 Genin and 4 Jōnin, and along with them, I'm sending 2 more Jōnin," He told the man.
Tazuna looked amazed at this before he shook his head and asked, "And one of them be an Anbu," He asked with the question look as if he got the name right.
"In asking that, you do know that it's going to cost Wave more, right," Hiruzen said as Tazuna visibly winched.
"I know, but we are suffering under the tyranny of Gatō," Tazuna said before steeling himself, "I'm going to take all of the hardship of my land on my shoulders so that it can return to what it was before," He continued.
Hiruzen nodded and gained a slight smile, "Then this is my proposition for you," He said as Tazuna, "Konoha will aid in taking out Gatō, allowing you to return to fishing in your waters and make new houses for your land," Hiruzen said as Tazuna nodded, but he waited for the last part.
"But Konoha will take everything that Gatō owns and everything that he has stored in wave and his shipping company," Hiruzen said as Tazuna looked shocked and wanted to rebut him, but Hiruzen spoke up, "I know your land is suffering, but with this, you can have a place to build up, and with our help, your land will return to its glory once more," He continued.
Tazuna wanted to say something but let out a deep breath and nodded, "Alright then," He said with a begrudging nod.
"Good, now, team 7, find a place to sleep for the night and wait for your backup," Hiruzen told them.
"Understood," The members of team 7 said as they nodded their heads.
Naruto closed his Farnsworth as team 7 looked at Tazuna as he bowed to them, "I'm sorry for lying to you and thank you for doing what you're doing," He said to them.
Kakashi rubbed the back of his head, "It's ok; Konoha never leaves their mission and will always help their allies," He told the man.
He looked at each team member he started with before smiling, "Now, where is this spot where we can camp for the night," Naruto asked him.
"Right, follow me," He said before Kakashi pulled out a scroll and sealed the Demon Brothers in it as Tazuna led them away for a few minutes until he stopped, "This is the place that I camped when on the way to Konoha," Tazuna said as they nodded.
Naruto looked at the open area around him before rolling his shoulders, "Sensei, how long do you think it would take for Jiji to gather the other teams and ninja," Naruto asked as he pulled out a scroll.
Satsuki pulled out a compass and started to mark spots on the ground, "An hour for him to gather the other Genin teams and then for an Anbu, he it would have to depend on which is closer or not," Kakashi said as he did some math in his head, "So it would take 3 to 4 hours to gather them and 6 hours to get to us," He told the streaked blond.
"So it would be either 11 or 12 o'clock when they get here," Naruto said as he saw Satsuki walk up to him.
"All four markers are placed," She told him.
"Thank you," He told her as she walked out of the square she had made.
Naruto walked to a point where Satsuki marked and started to go thru a series of hand seals, "Mokuton: Shichūka no Jutsu," Naruto called out.
Robes of wood burst out of the ground and started to merge into a two-story wooden house, each corner having a wolf face.
It had a small set of steps leading up to a large round door with a knocker in the shape of a dragon's head; on either side of the steps were fox statues.
Before the door was rounded pillars that seemed to hold the top part up, each with what looked like vines curling around them.
Next to the made house had two large wooden towers that were connected to the house.
Kakashi and Sakura looked surprised by this and started walking forward before Satsuki stopped them, "There's a spell that Naruto can do to make sure that we're safe from harm when we are here," She told them.
Kakashi nodded while watching Naruto walk up to the statues and clap his hands before placing them on the wood.
And the wood changed into marble, and he did the same for parts of the house.
And soon, parts of the house looked like an ordinary houses, with the roof having clay tiles, the walls gaining plaster, and the windows gaining glass.
Naruto pulled out a scroll, placed it on the ground, and unsealed some things.
Blankets and pillows, furniture and other things that a house would need to make it a home.
Naruto summoned clones and had them put things away in the house and put things in rooms.
When his clones had dispelled, he pulled out some of his magic cards and taped each one of them as a large pile of food formed.
"Satsuki, if you would," Naruto asked the Uchiha as she walked up, breathed out a fireball, and set the food on fire.
"O' Goddess of the Heath, I ask of thee," Naruto eye's turned gold as he called out as his magic circle formed in the sky above the house as a dome formed around the house, "I am sending this offering to you," He continued chanting as vines grew out of the ground with forming a wall with two small pillars, "I Beseech you to protect us throughout the night," As the chant continued the rest of team 7.
Tazuna found feel heat feed out of the house, "I ask of thee to make this house a home," The dome gave a slight glow before fading, "Please grant thy blessing," He said as he felt the spell be complete.
When his eyes returned to their standard colour, he started to sway as Kakashi caught him before he could fall, "You ok," He asked the blond.
"I used all my mana doing that," Naruto said as he righted himself.
Kakashi nodded before hearing the door of the house open, and he turned to see that a nine-year-old girl had walked out.
The girl had mousy brown hair and fire-red eyes; she wore a simple brown dress and a scarf over her head.
Naruto looked at her as he started to kneel as Satsuki did the same, and the three others did the same of the two, "Praise Hestia, Lady of the Hearth," Naruto and Satsuki called out as Kakashi, Sakura, and Tazuna did the same.
"Young spell, smith, you can stand," Hestia said as she walked up to them.
Naruto stood up as Hestia walked up to him, gaining a smile that radiated love.
One that only came from family.
Her eyes looked over the others in his team and indicated for them to rise, and once they did, she turned back to Naruto, "I grant you my blessing this day, but you know that you can not use this spell for another month," She told him.
"I understand, milady," Naruto said as he panted.
She nodded before disappearing in a flicker of flames as Sakura looked at Satsuki, "Who was that," She asked her.
"That was Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth, Fire, Home, and Family," She told the pink-haired girl.
Kakashi, Tazuna and Sakura's eyes shot wide, "Wow," They said as one as they walked into the house.
When they walked in, they found that it looked homely with furniture with what looked to be animals carved into them and a roaring fire.
As Tazuna went up to one of the bedrooms, everyone else looked around the room before Kakashi looked at his Genin, "Each person is going to have a watch and wait for the others to arrive," Kakashi told them as they nodded.
He looked them each over before saying, "Satsuki, your fist, then Sakura, after Naruto and me last," as they nodded.
"How long will we be on the watch for," Satsuki asked the man.
"Three hours each," He answered as she nodded before she looked over at Naruto.
"All ready on it," He said as he went out the door.
The rest of team 7 joined him as he placed his hands on the ground, "Gaia Power," Naruto said as a tree started to grow in front of him.
Satsuki looked at the tree and jumped up to the branch before Kakashi called out, "Sakura will come out in three hours to take her watch."
"Understood," Satsuki said as she hid in the tree.
The three others walked back into the house; as they sat down, Naruto made a Kage Bunshin and sent it to the kitchen with some magic cards, "While your clone makes food, and since Satsuki already knows about your magic can you tell me about it," Kakashi said as he pulled out a notebook.
"What do you want to know," Naruto asked as he turned to the man.
"First, what are the sources of your magic," He asked the blond.
"Mana and I get them from the environment around me," Naruto told the man as Naruto pulled out a scroll and started drawing, "And I have been gathering different types of Mana," Naruto said as Kakashi wrote this.
Kakashi and Sakura looked down at the scroll to have a look and saw 10 symbols.
A fireball.
A sun.
A water droplet.
A tree.
A skull.
An hourglass.
A snowflake.
A lotus flower.
A gear.
And a paw print.
"These are the mana symbols," Naruto said as the two nodded.
"What type of Mana do you have at the moment," Kakashi asked as he drew each symbol on a different page of his notebook.
"I have access to 1 red mana, 9 green mana, 1 blue mana and 1 brown mana," Naruto said as he gazed at the confusion that was his team.
"What," Sakura asked him.
Naruto laughed slightly at that, "Red mana comes from mountains, blue mana comes from islands, brown mana comes from rivers, and green mana comes from forests," Naruto explained.
Kakashi nodded as he wrote the information down before returning his eye to Naruto, "What types of magic can you use at the moment," He asked.
"I can use Wood-make, some Worlock spells, some Bardic spells, some Druidic magic, some sorcery and some wizardry," Naruto said before thinking for a bit, "I also can do some cleric and paladin spells," Naruto said as Kakashi nodded.
"And how do you learn these spells," Sakura asked him as Kakashi looked up.
"Well, for my Warlock spells, I have two pacts," Naruto said as he placed his book on the table and showed a wolf ring that was on his automail finger, "The book is a part of my pact with Lilith called pact of the tome, and the ring is used for my pact with the Raven Queen called pact of the taken," Naruto told them.
"First, what is the book needed for the first pact," Kakashi asked him.
"Thou my pact with Lilith that allows me to use Demonic Magic, and second with the book, it has all my spells and jutsu, and when I learn a new one, it automatically forms within it," Naruto explained.
"And the pact with the ring," Kakashi asked as he wrote another page.
"Pact of the taken allows me to take the soul and the body of the ones that I kill to fight with me," Naruto said as the man looked shocked, "I know I only gained this pact on the day we become assigned to you," Naruto said as Kakashi nodded.
"Your sorcery magic," Sakura asked as she thought about what he said.
"I have a massive slit of my ancestry," Naruto told them.
"What do you mean," Sakura asked him.
"You see me and Lilith and found out that my grandmother of my father's side is an Angle that gives me the traits of the Angle bloodline, and she is also the daughter of the devil himself," Naruto said as Kakashi and Sakura's eyes shot wide, "Yeam and my moral great grandfather is a dragon on my mother's side," Naruto told them.
"So angle, devil and dragon," Kakashi asked the blond.
"Yea, but I only gain a small thing from my devil and angel blood," Naruto told them.
"Like what," Sakura asked him.
"Form my devil blood, I gain my blue hellfire or Satan Flames," Naruto told her as said blue flame formed in his hand, "As from my angel blood, I gain a small portion of my grandmother's powers over time and a bit of light manipulation," Naruto said as he saw the confusion bloom on there face.
"How much of a small portion of her powers over time," Sakura asked him.
"Well, my grandmother can travel back in time, and I can do that but not for long," Naruto told them, "And before you ask, it's only an hour, but that's all," he added.
"And the light powers," Kakashi asked as he marked this down.
"Before my great-grandfather fell, he was known as the Lightbringer and made the stars in the sky," Naruto said as they nodded, "While all angels can use light weapons, my grandmother can bend light around her, and I can do the same but not for long like my time powers," Naruto said as Kakashi let out a sigh.
"And the dragon bloodline," He asked the blond.
"Oh, one day I can grow dragon wings," Naruto said.
Both of them looked flabbergasted by that, "Now for the wizardry," Kakashi asked him.
"It's called War Magic, and it makes me harder to hit, and I can hit harder," Naruto informed them.
"Bardic," Sakura asked as she looked over the mana symbols again.
"While there are no bard colleges anymore, I am at the moment one would call a College of Eloquence, and it means that I have a silver tough," Naruto told her, then turning to Kakashi, "And from Traynie, I'm a Circle of Land druid," Naruto told his sensei.
"Circle of Land," Kakashi enquired.
"It means that when I used to make for the land, it would be more powerful," Naruto told them, "And before you ask, my cleric and paladin magic come from the gods," He told them.
"The same god or different ones," Kakashi asked him.
"Different ones," Naruto said as he pulled out two necklaces, his moon necklace and sun that looked had nordic knots making it up, "I'm a moon cleric for my mother, Artemis, the moon maiden," Naruto said as it spawned more questions, "And I'm Oath of the Forge paladin for Sol, the Bright bride of heaven," He told them.
For the rest of the time that Satsuki was on watch, Naruto answered question after question and food was brought in.
Sakura got up and went outside before Satsuki walked in and was swapped with Satsuki.
While waiting for his turn to be on watch, Naruto closed his eyes as he drifted off to sleep.
Naruto's Dream
In Naruto's dream, he was a fox running thru the forest without a care in the world as he ran.
And he knew that when the dream started, it was day, and soon his dream shifted to night.
Naruto looked around before a wolf jumped in front of him.
Naruto looked ready to run before spotting the colour of the wolf's eyes; they were purple.
"Mom," Naruto asked the wolf.
"Hello, my blue moon," Artemis said as she walked over to him in her wolf form.
She walked over and started to nuzzle him with her snout, "What can I do for mom," Naruto asked.
"As my moon cleric, I can grant you an animal to aid you in your battles ahead," She told him as Naruto, in fox form, looked confused.
"I already have Fenrir and my yet-to-hatch egg for that," Naruto said as Artemis shook her head.
"You see, you will have multiple animals by your side in the future, my son," She told him as Naruto nodded, "But I think that you would need something like her," She told him as she pointed with her snout.
Naruto turned to look and saw a feline cub with white fur and some black stripes.
Around the neck, it had a tuff of white fur, and its body shape would be that of a body shape of a jaguar.
"She is a Smilodon," Artemis informed him as Naruto, in his fox form, walked over to the cub.
"A what," He asked as he started to play with the cub.
"A Smilodon, better known as a Sabretooth Cat," Artemis informed her son.
As she watched her son play with the cub, she gained a small smile as she watched as the cub curled up to Naruto, who curled around the cub and seemingly went to sleep.
House In The Woods
As Naruto napped while he waited on his chest, a silver light formed on his sleeping chest as Kakashi and Satsuki looked over at him and saw the cub form on his chest.
"It seems that his mother thought that now was the time that he would be the time that he would get his partner," Satsuki said as she looked at the cub.
"What do you mean," Kakashi asked her.
"As a moon cleric, his god gives him an animal partner when they think they're ready," She told him as she picked up a book and started reading.
Kakashi nodded as they waited for Naruto to wake up, but after a while, Naruto opened his eyes and looked down at his chest and saw the sleeping cub.
Naruto gently got up, moved the cub off him, and placed her on the sofa he was on.
He called out Fenrir, who looked around before spotting the cub, "So this thing is your moon partner," The father of wolves asked as he looked disgusted with the cub.
"Yes, and be nice," Naruto said as he started to make his way out.
Fenrir looked over at him, "Where are you going," He asked the Uzumaki.
"On my watch," He said as he walked out, and soon Sakura came in and saw that they had a cub and an annoyed Fenrir.
"What happened," Sakura asked as she looked around.
"Well, Naruto's mother gave Naruto his moon cleric partner, and Fenrir is jealous," Satsuki said as she turned a page of her book.
"I AM NOT JEALOUS," Fenrir roared while Sakura went over to the sofa.
Kakashi looked over at Sakura to see that she was dead tired, "Tell me about your watch, then have some shut-eye," He told her.
Sakura yawned before saying, "The only thing of note is that I saw an Anbu look at the house," She said as Kakashi looked up at that with Satsuki looking over her book.
"Can you describe the Anbu," He asked her.
"They had a rat mask, dressed in a full body cloak," Sakura said as she tried to think about the Anbu watching them, "And they seemed to be around my age," She said as Kakashi's eye narrowed.
Satsuki looked over at him, "What is it, Sensei," She asked.
"I think that the only elder that serviced and field Konoha is spying on us," He told them.
Fenrir walked up to a window and looked out of it to look outside and find the Anbu before growling, "I see him," He said as Kakashi made his way over to the window.
"Tell Naruto to keep an eye on him," Kakashi said as he looked at the Anbu.
"I told him, and he said that he had summoned some Kage Bunshin to see if there are any more," Fenrir said as Kakashi nodded before Fenrir turned to the man, "Do you think that it would be one of his elite," He asked.
Kakashi, not moving his eye off the Anbu as he took in the visage, "I think so, and as he's not even trying to hide so," Satsuki walked up to another window while Sakura fell asleep.
"What is he doing, thou," Satsuki asked as she saw the ninja string at the house, "They can't just be here to watch us," She added.
"Your right," Kakashi said as he went for the door, but Fenrir spoke up.
"He's the only one there," He said as the two looked at him before Kakashi relaxed slightly.
He looked back at the Anbu, "Join Naruto on his watch just if anything happens," He told the wolf, who nodded and sank into the shadows and popped up at the base of the three; he then turned to Satsuki, "Me, you and Sakura are going to take turns each half an hour," He told her as he grabbed a chair.
"You're taking the first; I'm guessing," She asked him.
Kakashi did not answer, but he sat down in front of the window, "Get some sleep; I'll wake up sakura first," He said as Satsuki nodded and went off to sleep for an hour.
For the rest of Naruto's watch, nothing happened other than Kakashi walking out to relieve him as Naruto jumped down from the tree, "What time is it," Kakashi asked the streaked blond.
"It's 10 o'clock," Naruto said as he stretched his joints out, "I've marked him," He whispered as he made his way in.
"Join the others on rotation of watching him," Kakashi whispered back.
Naruto gave no response to what Kakashi said as he made his way into the house.
As Kakashi looked out directly at the Anbu.
No Root that that was watching them as he tried to get a notion of what he was up to.
"Danzo, what are you up to," He thought as he gazed at the man, "Are you working with Obito as well," He asked.
"Do you want some company," Fenrir asked from where he was sitting by the tree.
He looked at the wolf and sat down next to him, "I would appreciate that," Kakashi said.
Kakashi and Fenrir returned their eyes to the Root Anbu who had not moved or turned away from the house.
"It's been about 5 years since any member of Root or any sign of Danzo," Kakashi thought as he readied a weapon just in case, "And from what we managed to get from Hinoto, Danzo was scouting out Orochi's bases," His thought continued as he looked at the Ninja.
"Do you think he's after Satsuki or Naruto," Fenrir asked the silver-haired man.
"I think that Danzo's after both of them," Kakashi said loud enough for the Root Ninja to hear.
Said ninja did not seem to react to anything that was said, "He truly is a quiet one," Fenrir said as he lowered his head to rest them on his paws.
Kakashi kept his eyes on the ninja, "All Anbu are trained to be like that, but Danzo takes it to another level," He told the wolf.
"How much more," Fenrir asked as he studied the man in front of them.
"Seals to stop sensitive information from leaking out, pain training so that even if you pull teeth and finger tales out, they will not talk," He told him as his look became solemn, "They do not fear death as they could die any moment that there master wishes," He continued.
And they continued talking for about two hours before they spotted their backup walking up to them.
There was a boy a little taller than Naruto with messy brown hair, sharp black eyes, vertical slit-like pupils, pronounced canine teeth, and nails that looked like claws; red fang markings on his cheeks.
He was dressed in a form-fitting black leather jacket with zips over the chest and sleeves, along with black pants and sandals, also zipped, matching the jacket; his Hitai-ate has black cloth.
At his side was a 51cm that had primarily white fur with a brown nose, brown patches on its ears and a brown outline around his mouth.
The fur on its head is styled to resemble a mohawk.
They were Kiba Iunzuka and his ninken partner Akamaru.
Next was a fair-skinned boy, the tallest member of his graduating class; he had dark brown hair pulled back into a short ponytail.
He was dressed in a long dark olive green trench coat jacket with two bug-like emblems on the neck, and like the rest of that boy's clan, Kakashi knew that he had a full-body suit underneath; over his eyes was a three-strip optic visor and black sandals.
He was Shino Aburame
Next was a slender girl of fair complexion who, as a Hyūga, her most distinguishing trait is the Byakugan, giving her dull lavender eyes, her dark blue hair that she keeps in a hime-cut reached her lower back, and the framing strands reached shoulder-length.
Her attire is a form-fitting light lavender, sleeveless kimono-style blouse with vertical lines, tied with a dark purple obi around her waist and short dark navy shorts. She also wore thigh-high stockings with black, open-toed boots and around her neck was her Hitai-ate.
She is Hinata Hyūga.
Then there was the woman who collected them, a fair-skinned woman of a slender build; she had long black untamed hair reaching her upper back and unique eyes that were red, with an additional ring in them and red lipstick and purple eye shadow.
Her outfit consists of a red mesh armour blouse with only the right sleeve visible; this is an extensive material which resembles bandages with a pattern similar to those of rose thorns; her hands and upper thighs are also wrapped in bandages and blue sandals, and Hitai-ate.
She was Kurenai Yūhi.
Then there was a boy that was the clone of Kakashi's best friend who was dressed in a green jumpsuit, orange leg wormers, blue sandals and a red cloth Hitai-ate.
He had thick eyebrows that looked like caterpillars and his hair in a bowl cut.
This was Rock Lee.
Then there was a fair skin teen with long black hair, Byakugan.
His clothing and bandages of his former wardrobe for a white kimono shirt with long, loose sleeves, matching pants, a navy-grey apron tied around his waist, a black Hitai-ate and black shinobi sandals.
He was Neji Hyūga.
Next was another kunoichi with dark brown hair and eyes; she wore her hair in two panda ear-style buns braided and held together by a short plait that fell just below her shoulders, with short fringe bangs framing her face.
A long-sleeved, high-collared white blouse with maroon edges, black fingerless gloves, low-heeled sandals and a black forehead protector; she wears maroon, puffy hakama-styled pants, a large scroll behind her back.
Her name was Tenten.
Then there was the sensei of those three Genin, that was dressed and looked like an older version of Lee but had a Konoha flack jacket; this was Might Guy.
Next was a boy with a rotund build and markings on his cheeks in the form of swirls. He has spiky, light brown hair that sticks upward in
He was donned a green, short-sleeved haori with a long, white scarf over a white shirt, with the kanji for "food" on it.
He wore black shorts, hoop earrings, and bandages around his legs and forearms; his blue Hitai-ate was styled, allowing two tufts of hair to poke out at each side.
He was Choji Akamaichi.
At his left was a girl that was a fair-skinned woman of average height with light green eyes and long, platinum-blonde hair with bangs framing the right side of her face that she had grown back to a hip-length ponytail with her bangs became thicker, hiding most of her right eye.
She was dressed in a purple outfit consisting of a high-collared blouse and matching apron skirt; she sported bandages on her abdomen and legs, small hoop earrings, her blue cloth Hitai-ate worn as a belt, and white arm warmers.
She was Ino Yamanaka.
To Choji's right was a teen with narrow brown eyes and a typical expression suggesting he was either bored or irritated. He has shoulder-length black hair tied in a spiky ponytail.
He wears a short-sleeved grey jacket with green-edged sleeves and the rudimentary Nara clan symbol on the back, under which is a green-lined mesh armour T-shirt with brown pants, a pair of his clan's traditional silver hoop earrings, and wears his blue Hitai-ate around his left arm.
Then there was Shikamaru Nara.
Behind them was the son of the Sandaime Hokage, a tall man with brown eyes, olive skin, short black spiky hair, and a beard.
His clothing consisted of the standard Konoha ninja uniform with the sleeves rolled up halfway, a flak jacket, regular shinobi sandals and Hitai-ate; he also wore a sash that had the kanji for "Fire" marked on it around his waist, a pair of black bangles, and bandages wrapped around the arms of his sleeves.
This was Asuma Sarutobi.
Then there was Anko, who had not changed her clothes.
And finally, there was a woman with straight, purple hair reaching down to her waist, warm brown eyes, and a dark shade of red lipstick dressed in the standard Konoha uniform with metal arm guards and a katana strapped to her back.
And Kakashi knew that she had the signature Anbu tattoo on her right shoulder.
She was Anbu memeber Neko and Yūgao Uzuki.
Kakashi turned back to the Root Anbu to find that he was not there anymore as he walked up to them, "Yo," He called out.
The Jōnin looked at the silver-haired man before leading the Genin over,
"Kakashi need help on a mission," Anko asked playfully.
"Oh yes, Anko, you know how it is," He said as his lone eyes scanned the area.
The Jōnin clocked this and eminently got on edge, "I'll leave a clone out here," He told them as he walked into the house with them following him.
When they entered, they found Naruto looking out of the window as Kakashi looked at him, "Where is he," He asked the blond.
Not pealing his eyes off the forest, "He's still out not that far, but from what I can sense, he's weary now that there are more Jōnin," He told them.
"What is it," Yūgao asked him.
"There's a Root Anbu out there, but we think that he's one of Danzo's elite," Kakashi said as Fenrir nodded, "Now, anyway, for the mission," Kakashi said.
Asuma nodded, "What we know is that we are liberating the Land of Waves, but that's it," He said to the man.
"It's a little more than that, but that's the gist of it," Naruto said from his seat by the window.
"Oh, yea, what the rest of it then, you blond bastard," Kiba barked at Naruto.
"Wave is under the thumb of a man that deals in drugs, women, money and other illegal things," Naruto answered as Anko looked happy.
"Oh, that sounds fun," She said as Naruto gained a small smile, "And you brat, are you ready to summon the snakes," She said as she pointed dramatically at Naruto.
"He's what I thought he had his clan summoning contracts," Satsuki said as she woke up Sakura.
"Oh, he does, but the snakes want him as well," She said as she rested her fists on her hips.
Kakashi rubbed his temple at that, "That's going to be fun to tell Lady Artemis," He muttered before becoming serious, "Everyone up at 8 o'clock; we move out at 10," He told them as they all nodded.
"Understood," The Genin said as they went off to bed.
10 O'clock The Next Day
Once everyone had gotten their things ready, they started making their way to the Land of Waves, where the Genin circled Tazuna while the Jōnin was around them with Anko and Asuma on the left, with Kurenai and Guy on the right.
In front of them was Kakashi, and behind them was Yūgao, and it took them a few hours before they made it to the border of the Land of Waves, where they found an area filled with fog.
Kakashi looked at Naruto, who nodded and made 10 Kage Bunshin that started to go thru the trees.
After a few minutes of them waiting in the mist, Naruto twitched, "There's a man that would fit the description of Zabuza Momochi, and he was with a Kiri Anbu," Naruto said as the Jōnin looked at each other before Yūgao got ready to draw her sword.
"So what's the play Kakashi," Asuma asked the man as he pulled out some trench knives.
"He must already know that we're here, so let's try not to make Tazuna a target for him," Kakashi told them.
"He's a member of the 7 Ninja Swordsmen of Kiri," Guy said as he got ready to fight.
Anko looked at the Genin, "Move in closer and get ready," She told them.
They moved closer to him as they made their way thou the mist with the Genin with dōjutsu used to help them.
"Naruto, Satsuki, what can you see," Kakashi asked his team.
"I got nothing," Satsuki said as she turned her eyes off, followed by Naruto.
"Same for me," He told Kakashi, who nodded, "I can't get a sent either," He informed his sensei.
"That goes for me, too," Kiba said, with Akamaru yipping.
"Hinata, Neji," Guy asjed the other two dōjutsu users.
"H-h-he's up ahead," Hinata said as she pointed ahead before a white rabbit jumped in front of them.
Sakura and Ino awwed at it while the Jōnin looked around frantically before Naruto called out, "It's a trap hit the deck."
Everyone fell to the floor as a massive sword that looked like an overgrown butcher's knife was spinning overhead.
When the blade dug into a tree, a person appeared on it.
It was a tall and noticeably muscular man with light greyish skin, short spiky black hair, dark brown eyes, and small eyebrows; he was wearing bandages like a mask over the bottom half of his face.
He wore his Hitai-ate sideways on his head and baggy pants with the striped pattern typical of Kirigakure and mimetic wrist-warmers extending up to his elbows, matching leg-warmers.
