Chapter 6
Let your prayers be my guide
It was the morning of when the Tree of Life's royal family was going to head home. They stayed an extra week as Fuli, Anga, and Bunga all went back. The Sun had risen and Jala was sitting on the peak of Pride Rock.
"Morning Jala," Simba said walking up to her yawning as he sat down.
"Grandpa, there's something I don't understand. Grandma knew what I was thinking. How?" Jala said.
"Your grandmother is very wise, and she can see clearly, especially when it comes to her grandkids," Simba said.
"I haven't told anyone though. Not even Maisha knows." Jala said.
"What are you afraid of Jala?" Simba asked.
"I'm afraid that if I tell Mom and Dad they won't understand. I mean why would I want to leave my home?" Jala asked.
"Oh. Well, Jala your father will understand, it wasn't so long ago that he and I talked when he told me that he was leaving to go be with Rani." Simba said.
"Hey, Jala. Dad, can I talk to you for a minute?" Kopa asked.
"Of course, you can go with Kion and Rani today. I know you need to get your mind off of things." Simba said.
"How did you?" Kopa asked.
"Because I'm your father. And as a matter of fact, I will be coming to the Tree of Life soon, me and Malkia both." Simba said hugging Jala.
"Really? We always love it when you come." Jala said.
Meanwhile at the Tree of Life.
Fuli, Raya, Shuri, Doa, Binga, and Zara all were about to go on a hunt.
"So Aunt Shuri, I was trying to find you last night. You weren't at your den." Binga said.
"Oh sorry, I couldn't sleep in my den last night. I was restless." Shuri said.
"Oh, I know what that means," Zara said.
"What are you talking about Zara?" Raya said.
"Back at my pride being, "restless" meant you were in heat," Zara said.
"Shuri? Is that true?" Raya asked almost thrilled.
"Yeah, I was. But it's not like I have a lion here to help me with that." Shuri said.
"No, you've got a tiger," Fuli said giggling.
Shuri started to blush a bit.
"Oh my God. You mated with Stari last night didn't you?" Raya yelled in joy.
"Not in front of the young ones Raya," Shuri said.
"We're old enough to mate too you know," Doa said.
"No, you are not! Maybe technically but no." Fuli said hugging her daughter.
"Zara, how did you figure that out?" Shuri asked.
"Well, you've been acting weird all morning. I haven't been here for a long time, but I could tell something was going on when you bumped into Stari at breakfast." Zara said.
"Okay, so we need to talk about this," Raya said pretty thrilled that her sister had a mate.
"Look. It just happened. Not as much as I wanted it to. But it happened and I liked it. Stari is such a sweetheart and just talking with him, he understands and cares about me unlike any male has." Shuri said.
"Are we going to talk about my Aunt's sex life? Or are we going to hunt?" Binga asked crouching down already having her target picked.
"We can talk about the other later," Raya said.
"Fine, although I don't remember asking about you and Baylio." Shuri said.
"What do you want to know?" Raya asked.
"Mom eww. I know that's how I'm here, but please not in front of me." Binga said.

Later on in the middle of the night.
Shuri was tossing and turning in her den when she heard something.
"Whose there?" Shuri shouted.
"Hey, it's just me," Stari said.
"Oh, Stari. What is it?" Shuri asked.
"Um, I wanted to apologize for last night. I hope you don't think I took advantage of you?" Stari said.
"NO. Stari I'm the one who came on to you. And to be honest I enjoyed it." Shuri said batting her eyes at him.
"But how could this work? A tiger and a lioness. I mean I didn't think you ever wanted to mate again?" Stari asked.
"I did say that. But that was before I met you. And before I got to know you. Stari I only came to you last night because for one I wanted sex. I'll admit that. But for two, I do love you Stari. I don't care if you are a tiger, Because no male has ever treated me the way you have." Shuri said.
"But you barely know me? What if I'm some monster that you think is a gentleman." Stari said.
"I know you more than you think I do. I've seen the monsters and your not one Stari. Your kind, gentle, sweet, and damn sexy." Shuri said lying down on her bed on her back.
Stari smiled. And came and gently began to mate with her. As they kissed passionately.
"Yeah just like that Stari. Phew." Shuri exclaimed as Stari began to go a little harder.
"You are so beautiful," Stari whispered as he kissed her neck.
Shuri let out a few moans, as Stari's breathing began to get faster and deeper. Until his climax. Stari stopped as they began to kiss again.
"You mean were mates now?" Stari asked.
"Roll over," Shuri said as Stari rolled on his back.
"I didn't get all I wanted last night," Shuri said as she began to lick his neck, as she began to mate with him.
Back at pride rock. Kovu had asked Vitani to talk with him and Kiara.
"Kovu what's this about?" Vitani asked.
"We want to know how you are," Kiara said.
"I'm fine, what else do you want me to say? I didn't lose my mom like you did Kiara. I will miss Nala though." Vitani said.
"Not that Vitani. I'm talking about Kopa. Are you okay with him leaving with Kion and them?" Kovu asked.
"I'm fine with it. He can do whatever he wants. Me and him agreed to separate for now." Vitani said.
"I just don't understand what happened between you two," Kiara said.
"He's not like you Kiara. You've told me things about your life. Kopa couldn't tell me anything, and if I tried to tell him about my past, or what I was feeling he couldn't handle it. We could mate that's about it. And he was mad that I wasn't getting pregnant." Vitani said.
"Yeah but Tani, you both could've talked to us. We might've helped you both." Kovu said.
"Yeah," Kiara said.
"Thanks, little bro. But I don't think anyone could've helped us." Vitani said.
About halfway to the tree of life, the family stopped. Rani woke up to get her nightly water when she saw Kopa sitting next to the water hole.
"Kopa. Isn't this a familiar sight? You remember this place?" Rani asked.
"No," Kopa said.
"When Timon and Pumbaa were dying you, Beshte, four cubs and I stopped here for the night," Rani said.
"Oh yeah. I forgot about that." Kopa said.
"Can I ask, are you sad because of your mom or Vitani?" Rani asked.
"Both. I can't believe she's gone. On the same night I lost the two females I loved the most. No offense." Kopa said.
"None was taken, that's how it's supposed to be. I'd be concerned if you loved me more than Vitani." Rani said laughing a bit, as Kopa laughed with her.
"I couldn't tell her how I felt. I thought that mating, and maybe being parents would change that. Cause that's what I witnessed. Rani think about it, my dad and mom even said that after they lost me they had Kion shortly after." Kopa said.
"Well, mating is great. And I love it just as much as any female. But nothing is better than being able to talk to Kion, and telling him how I feel. Especially when he cuddles with me at night." Rani said.
"I just hope my being gone doesn't make us farther apart," Kopa said.
"Me either. Now I'm going to get some rest." Rani said.
As Rani left Kopa looked down at the water and saw his scared face.
"No wonder no one wants me. I'm too broken." Kopa said.
Then all of the sudden. Jala came to the water hole and looked at her reflection and splashed it away.
"Hey Jala what's up?" Kopa asked.
"Oh, Uncle Kopa. I didn't see you there." Jala said.
"Sorry to startle you. But still, my question still remains." Kopa said sitting beside her.
"Can you promise you won't tell anyone," Jala said.
"Of course honey. What's up?" Kopa asked.
"I'm..." Jala said.
Author's Note
In my headcanon, the characters mate more like humans than lions. Just because of the missing features on the males when they are drawn. So both genders' genitals could be located between their legs.
Coming Up
What is Jala's big secret? And what will happen when the King and Queen meet Stari and Zara? Also what other characters could make an appearance. Find out in Chapter 7.
