"Tad Starson called Captain James today."
Krisa sighed running her fingers thru her hair. Time must have ran out and now Tad was laying his hand at testing her. Cordell noticed the look of concern on his best friends face. Something wasnt right. Krisa looked fearful and almost sick at the same time which worried him.
"Kris, I know you and I arent excatley on good terms right now."

Cordell grabbed Krisa by the arm forceing her to look at him. He could see it in her eyes lan as day. She wasnt lieing that much he knew because she'd never lie about risking his life or her dad's life. he saw the fear , sadness and worry there to. Cordell also saw love when he looked into Krisas eyes. Cordell ulled Krisa close and wraped his arms around her.
"I know you dont want to tell me what is going on. Only i dont want you to fee like you cant rust me."

Cordell close his eyes for a moments and sighed as he let Krisa go. He wanted to scream or something. It wasnt Krisa he was mad at it was that Matthew Starson.
"Cordi.. listen to me . I cant tell you whats going on. If I seriousley tell you anything then you and my dad both could end up dead."
"krissy listen to me. I know you cant talk because youre scared for me and for your dad."
Krisa sighed as sat down on the couch she couldn't tell she wanted to so bad. If the Starson found out it wouldnt end well.

Cordell sat next to her utting his arm around her holding her close.

"You have to come to dinner Firday night."
"I was lanning on it Kris so is the whole family. Believe me we will be there."

Before he got a chance to finishe his thought Krisa reached u on her ti toes and kissed Cordell on the cheek. Crodell smiled softly as he looked down at Krisa.

Krisa smiled as Cordell ulled her into a hug. For the ifrst time in a long while KrisA felt safe and in Cordell's arms. Cordelled sighed as hugged her tight.
"Cordi you have to go before Matthew gets here." Krisa said suddenly.
"Alright, but I promise tommrow I'll be back."

Cordell nodded and left the house. Krisa sighed as she close the door behind him. raying that Matthew didnt se eCordell leaving hte house.
