"Are you sure about that information you got? I know that we have been facing less and less pirates from asian countries recently but there hasn't been any sufficient reason why that has been. I've gotten occasional job offers from near the Philippines but they seem to always tend to be retracted while I am mid research of what we would be going after. Each and every single one has to do with the drug trade as well as going as far as kidnapping tourists, locals, basically anybody they could get their hands on for some easy money just to execute them like dogs or enter them into human trafficking rings to be sent all around the globe to the highest bidder."

"Yes Kali, I have gotten reports from some recon units you allowed me to be in command of. The Archipelagos have had a lot of action recently. Reports of pirates taking over the entire island and its surrounding area have been going around for a little over a year but very few jobs have been appointed there. Mostly towards the beginning of their takeover, though it has quickly died down and whittled down to near nothingness. Our recons reported explosions, constant firefights, and the destruction of some of the small coastal villages that had been within eyeshot from the waters. I've been refraining from sending our men further into the island due to what seems to be a miniature war of sorts between the pirates and a possible militia or rebellion from the locals." Wamai reported, scanning multiple pieces of paper he had given prior.

Kali raised an eyebrow at the news, "Constant fights and the jobs I've been getting have been getting retracted? My research has told me that these pirates work under two different men. One being the brother of the rebellion's so-called Goddess, and the other is a Kingpin of unknown origins so far. Although this Kingpin is the bigger of the two issues, taking his right hand man down and into our custody could lead us to him and bigger jobs later on down the road."

"I do agree with you madam, but there is one thing I think you should know."

"You may speak."

Wamai flipped through all the papers he had before selecting five from the pile, then setting the paperwork down and sat in the chair across from his boss's desk. He sighed before handing in his selected papers to her. "Remember that one apparently 'secret' world anti-terrorist organization, Rainbow? The ones who had come to us with offers for you and I as well as our highest accomplished members to be an extension of Rainbow?"

"I do, where is this going Ngũgĩ?" Kali questioned.

"I have been in contact with Six recently over two of their members. My recons have reported two men with obvious militaristic training occasionally making their way around the island via water on jet skis. Usually mid-fight or heavily armed. We have no photo evidence or truly real proof that these are the two missing operators, however they had captured some of the pirates who attempted to attack and take over their dinghies. When interrogated, they mentioned two different men that they had referred to as 'The Phantom of the Isle' and 'Rakyat's Punishment' that had been parading around like they owned the place and were nearly untouchable in fights. One however, was much more prominent and well known for his brutality. I think you could guess which I am talking about purely due to the title they've earned themselves. They talked of finding the corpses of the men they worked with missing limbs, being burnt down to the bone, perfectly calculated slices in their arms and legs as to guarantee they wouldn't be able escape whoever was after them. These men know what they are doing and aren't stopping at any tactic to spread fear throughout the pirates. It's been apparent to me that they are not from around here and are extremely vengeful, more than likely due to being brought here against their wills.

Kali grabbed the papers and leaned back in her chair as she read them. The first operator was Erik "Maverick" Thorn. A specialist in intelligence, often known as the 'Spook who went native.' Besides a psychological report, it only mentions how he went quiet in Kabul for well over two years before emerging with enough information to take down the entirety of the insurgency operation. Nothing else of major importance due to the rest being redacted and blacked out. The other operator caught her attention far more though. His name was redacted except for "Ghost." The rest of his background was almost nonexistent. It mentions he had a slight criminal rundown of petty crimes when he first became an adult as well as what occurred on his eighteenth birthday that led him down the path he is on. There was a small redacted portion following that, but continued to where it just skipped some sixteen or so years and goes on to speak of his time as a part of Rainbow. Six's evaluation of him seemed quite promising of the type of man he was but from what her operator had explained, he either has a dark side that he hides from the world or that this is a completely different person than who went missing from the group. His specialty gadget had also piqued Kali's interest as it seemed quite high tech that it could outperform the likes of Dokkaebi as well as even her own personal Nighthaven hacker's tech despite being all made by a singular person.

The woman tilted her head and raised an eyebrow, "You think these two men could be who they've been searching for for nearly a year now? Clearly one of the people on the island is a savage. I don't think it is entirely impossible for both of them to be the men that went MIA but only one matches up so the biography and psychological reports. I completely agree that this supposed phantom could be Mr. Thorn, but there is no way in hell that this Rakyat's Punishment person is Ghost. They just do not align in any way, shape, or form. I'm not sure I want Nighthaven to be caught up in this mess, we're a PMC. We work for whoever hires us, we aren't going to risk our people just to figure out if two unconfirmed men on some random island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean are the missing operators of Rainbow. Even if they were, you and I both know that they are perfectly capable of getting off the island on their own. Solo work deep into enemy territory is clearly where they shine best after all."

"I agree ma'am but I feel like it would be best to at a minimum, investigate this. I've talked to both Ace and Aruni about joining me on a mission onto the island to discover just who these two men are as well as learning more about these pirates to maybe put them out of business at a later date.

"So just the operators that have been helping alongside Rainbow, correct? That would make it more of their problem than ours and I would prefer to keep it that way." Jaimini retorted.

"Yes ma'am, that would be correct. I would like permission for the three of us to go in and find these men. Think of all the opportunities that could arise for Nighthaven if we brought back their operators who have been missing for as long as they have. Think about the plans you have had in place ever since you agreed to being an extension of Rainbow. All the potential that could come out of it and how much more respect and trust that would get placed into you by both Six and the men and women that work underneath of him."

"If that's the case Ngũgĩ, then we should contact Six and have him bring operators of his own with us. I do not trust having only a team of 3 and I would personally like to keep you here to watch over things."

Ngũgĩ nodded, "I shall be off to let our two know then while you contact Six. Have a good evening madam."

Jaimini nodded and excused her operator so she could contact her new business partner to have some of their operators sent out alongside her own people. Ngũgĩ stood up and thanked her for her time before picking up the remaining paperwork he had left on her desk and left to find his two that he'll be sending in.

It had been 2 months since Jaimini had redone a boat she had purchased for the company to restore as a full blown mobile base of operations within the Pacific Ocean. Most of the grunts could be seen around the ship exercising or training in the on-board shooting galleries or virtual reality simulations littering the ship's various areas. Ngũgĩ got to the farthest end of the ship and continued his travels down the stairs to the various different laboratories where he knew all their top operators would be currently located. Ngũgĩ peered into each of the different labs, trying to weed out Apha and Havard from the rest of the scientists that were working on the different experimental weapons and gadgets Jaimini had asked for. After going from lab to lab for the last 10 minutes, Ngũgĩ had eventually located his two ops alongside Anja who was helping Apha with her prosthetics Nighthaven had supplied her with after an accidental detonation on a prior mission somewhere in her career. "Ah, there you two are!" He exclaimed, patting Havard on the shoulder, "What are you all doing here with Mr. Jankovic?"

Anja rolled their eyes at Ngũgĩ's comment but ignored it, "I was checking in on her prosthetics as we had recently put these carbon fiber ones on. I wanted to double check that the electronics within them were working perfectly and that the sodder was still good as well as that everything on both her arm and leg were tightened. You actually caught us on the tail end of things, I was just about to finish and send these two on their way to go do whatever. There's not much in the room of leisurely activities on this ship."

"I will be sure to talk to Jaimini about fixing that issue. However, that is why I am not here. Ms. Tawanroong and Mr. Haughland, I am here for you two. Would you two please follow me please once Anja is done with your leg? You two were hand selected for what I am needing you for, I will be briefing you once we get back up to the meeting room of both what this upcoming mission is, as well as the operators that'll be joining you on it. Anja, you are to remain here as I understand that you would like to make some further tweaks to your shield as you feel you are close to perfecting it."

Anja gave Ngũgĩ a rad hand signal and stood up after finishing the check up on Apha's prosthetics. "They're all yours, boss."

"Thank you very much. Now if you could excuse us, we shall depart." Anja gave him a nod and went back to tinkering on the shield that had been laid out of the workbench off to the side of where all the operators had been standing. "Apha, Harvard, please follow me. Jaimini is working on her end of the mission right now so all I need to do is brief you and explain what will be happening as this job is more of a special operations job than ones we are being paid to perform. This job was signed off by Jaimini herself as she sees growth potential for Nighthaven as a whole if we complete the job as well as potentially more federal funding from the world governments. There is nothing detrimental to us as well if our guess is incorrect or if we fail to execute it properly meaning this is nothing more than a win-win scenario no matter how the mission tends to go."

The three entered the meeting room, Ngũgĩ closing the door behind them. "So let me begin on the what, why, when, and how."

Hereford Base, England

May 22nd, 2020

4:00PM

Harry sat at his desk, intrigued by what he was being told. "You truly think you have found my two missing operators?

"Precisely Six, one of the descriptions matches Maverick. The other definitely does not match the individual known as Ghost, however they have got to be working in pairs. That is, if both of them had made it out alive. We do not have any visual pictures or guarantees of what the two men look like, only that they are out there and are causing a riot between the locals of the island and the pirates that had started to inhabit it."

"And you are requesting backup from some of our operators just in case those are our missing operators?"

"That would be correct," Jaimini assured him, "I am going to be sending Aruni and Ace alongside the operators that you choose to send. I would like for them to meet up with us at my current location due to my ship being near the island where all of this chaos has been occurring, potentially due to your one or two men should they have survived."

Harry sighed and adjusted his glasses, "This is quite the high risk operation you know Kali. The information that you gave me shows that there are high numbers of these pirates as well as the local rebellion if they come after our people too. I truly want our operators back as they've been MIA for nearly a year. I do not wish to risk the lives of the operators that are still under my command for unconfirmed information."

"I'm not after any reward for this Mr. Pandey. I am doing this because I truly believe that the two men running riot on this island. I have viewed the original flight plan of your two men as well as simulated different possible crash courses should something have happened to them. Storm, shot down, loss of power, you name it. My ship is in the general location of where I think they could be. Though I do think now is the time to start checking the native islands. If we do not find them or the remains of both Maverick and Ghost as well as the plane, then I personally will be sending my people out to scour the ocean floor within the given proximity that the simulation provided. I am dedicated to helping Rainbow find their lost men and to bring them home or at the bare minimum, closure to their friends and families of what had happened to them back in August. It's the least I could do in return for you accepting me, my fellow operators, and all of Nighthaven by extension into Rainbow's program. If not this, then I am unsure of how else I could provide more than just our strength, men, and technology to your aid and disposal."

Harry sat more upright and positioned his hand so he could rest his head on it while thinking. Yes, there was the chance that his two operators could still be alive, but they had been gone so long with no true place in the world that could have been a guarantee of their location. Hope had long since left Harry but he knew that Nomad, Dokkaebi, as well as his two operator's families needed some sort of clearance of what had happened to them. "Do you have anybody specific you would like to join your people? Or would you like me to make my best judgment of the situation based on everything you sent and told me to send in who I think would be best fit for the job?"

"Either one works Six. The pirates as well as the rebels seem severely untrained and that could be why the two men are able to cause so much chaos with ease or too much worry of being stopped by the people going after them. Honestly, I am unsure which side they appear to be on as they kill men from both parties yet continue to help the rebellion in getting the pirates off of their homeland."

"Okay, I will hand select three operators to go alongside the two of your choice. Send me the location of your ship and I will have them heading your way immediately. Please bring them home safely, I don't want to lose more operators like I did those two. I fully trust that they can manage their own if they are currently out there alive somewhere, but I would like to minimize the risks for those going in to find them."

"Of course sir," Jaimini assured him, "We will do everything in our power to protect them while they are on the island. Backup as well as scouts will be going in both ahead of and shortly after they land shoreside. Sending you the details now, please be sure to let me know prior to sending your ops here so we can prepare for their arrival properly."

"Mhm, will do Kali. I will let you know as soon as possible after I pick out just who I'll be sending to you. Expect that in roughly fifteen to thirty minutes, I'll have them on a plane heading your way as soon as possible."

"Thank you sir, I'll be waiting."

"Yup, bye now. I'll be back as soon as possible."

"Goodbye sir."

Harry hung up the phone and took a deep breath before exhaling and covering his face with his hands. "Could it truly be them? We've been searching for oh so long. Grace, Karina, and Olivier searched relentlessly and couldn't find a single trace. How was it that Nighthaven possibly found them within a few months?"

The man took some time to breathe and collect himself before pressing the button for the announcement system around Hereford. "Thatcher, Thermite, Dokkaebi, Nomad, Lion, Nokk, and Caviera, please come to my office as soon as humanly possible. This is a very important meeting. There is no need to knock when you arrive, just please enter." His voice was shaky, almost frightened even at the thought of his two missing men having been potentially found alive, forced to fight for their lives to stay alive.

It was only mere minutes before all of his operators had arrived with the exception of Dokkaebi. "Where is the lass at? I would have imagined that she would have been one of the first ones here at the sound of your announcement." Mike huffed.

"Give her time, the rest of us were in the kitchen preparing for dinner you old ass, I'm sure she'll be here at any minute. It gives us time to collect ourselves since we all ran here." Jordan said, patting the old brit on the shoulder.

Karina sat down in one of the chairs across from her boss and leaned onto his desk, "She only sleeps when she needs to. Ever since I first got moved in here and been assigned to watch over both her and Olivier's search for Maverick and Ghost, she has been working nonstop because it's her boyfriend that went missing. Olivier has at least been taking breaks and even been deployed on a few missions outside of our two missing guys. So please just give Grace a break. She'll be here, just probably extremely sleep deprived."

"My boyfriend is missing too," Sanaa included, "I'd probably be just like her if I wasn't already expecting my man to go missing during his time in Rainbow eventually."

"Yeah yeah, whatever you two. What is it that you've called us here for?" Mike said, rolling his eyes at the girls. "Did we get any information on Erik or Luca?"

"I will tell you when Dokkaebi gets here. Nothing until then." Harry said sternly, glaring at Thatcher. Mike shook his head and took the other seat across from Harry before getting on his phone to scroll through facebook.

Idle chatter took over the room while they awaited their final comrade's arrival. Five minutes had passed, causing everyone to begin to get impatient. "I'll text her to get over here. If she doesn't answer or show up within the next five or so minutes, then we shall begin without her because that would mean she is hopefully asleep and resting."

Before Harry could even pull his phone out to text the Korean girl, the door opened and revealed Grace in her pajamas with large bags under her eyes and her beanie keeping her messy hair somewhat manageable. "I'm," Grace yawned, "I'm here. Reporting for duty…"

"You look like a shitshow lass, are you doing okay?" Mike asked in concern.

"I'm just fine. I just haven't slept in nearly a day… I'll be okay." She replied, nodding off slowly.

Harry sighed at the sight of his operator having seen how much she had deteriorated since the disappearance of Luca. "Grace, you're going to bed after this as I am no longer assigning you to this mission. Anyways though, so as you all know, we have partnered up with Nighthaven ever since Ms. Kali and Mr. Wamai have joined our team. Over the past few months, Kali has authorized the people under her to search islands and countries within and around the Pacific Ocean, towards Asia. I received word from her not too long ago about activity on a specific island that after some research has been dubbed as the Rook Island. Kali has informed me of pirates invading and using the island for things such as human trafficking and drug trafficking as well as other potential heinous crimes. That is originally what caught the attention of Nighthaven but what led to the island becoming our specific target was the sight of two men who had earned themselves the names of "The Phantom of the Isle" and "Rakyat's Punishment". I didn't think much of it until I was explained some of the things Nighthaven was told by the locals of the two's behavior as well as the things they had done or were currently up to around the island. The Phantom definitely sounds like Maverick to me, however the other man does not sound like the Ghost that we have all come to know as he is extremely violent and ill willed. His lack of sympathy for human life makes him seem nearly inhumane, yet we can't fully rule him out as the Phantom is just all too familiar and similar to Maverick and the way he conducts his operation. It makes assuming that "Rakyat's Punishment" is Ghost a fair bet with high potential. With this information we were given, Kali offered to send two of her own operators to go shoreside on the island itself with the request of us sending in at least three of you guys which I plan to let you choose who goes and who stays amongst yourselves. Thermite, you will be going as I know that you and Aruni have a previous history. It is up to you guys to decide who the other two that shall be meeting up on Nighthaven's ship, you have an hour to pick who's going and for those three of you to grab your stuff and to get ready to head out. I will not be accepting questions at this time, you are all dismissed."

Olivier raised his hand slightly but Harry looked at him and shook his head, "I'm sorry friend but please go decide who is going with Thermite to Rook island with those two Nighthaven operators, Aruni and Ace. I need to make arrangements to fly you out as soon as possible. I would love for those boys to finally come home after so long."

Olivier nodded and followed the rest of the group outside of the office.

Yes I know. I haven't uploaded in like two years. I feel kinda bad about that which is why I am uploading this. I wrote nothing for two years and had a sudden urge to write and had this in like 4 days then didn't touch it again for another month or so. I am uploading it so that the people who really enjoyed this story can have something to read. Its not as long as my standard chapters as it isn't finish but if I ever get to finishing this chapter, I will be deleting this and reuploading it as the complete thing. As of where will this story go after that? I have no clue to be honest with you so I will not guarantee there being more chapters to the story after this one is fully completed, but that doesn't mean that this story is fully abandoned. If anybody has read author notes in the previous chapters, I am in a discord with a giant group of Rainbow Six Siege writers/readers as well as friends of those people. Like 100ish of us I want to say. If you want to chat there, just PM me and I will shoot you an invite link.

Other than that, I would just like to apologize as I had started this story in my I want to say Junior year of high school and would only write the chapters on my phone while I was on the bus going to and from school as well as to and from the tech school I was in as well. After graduating from school, I got one more chapter out and then nothing for over two years as I've just been working and living my life, enjoying it the best I could as covid had killed going to school for me. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this and thank you everyone who has read it. I'll do my best to try to finish the chapter and even continue writing the story but I'm unable to promise anything in those regards so I am really sorry if this is the final thing that ever comes out for TTW2.
