When Nami swam inside Luffy's eyes, she could see her dark-skinned curly-haired Robin Hood, the loving father of their daughter Tama and fearless firefighter, the forty-year-old boy who woke up every night screaming from some terrible nightmare of his war days, the gorgeous and mighty sun god who ruled the land where the sun always shone, and her pirate captain, who guided their ship to new adventures and had saved her from more than just Arlong's grip.

When Luffy swam into Nami's eyes, he could see his heartbroken Lolita, the beautiful mother and incredible teacher of their daughter Tama, the protective and caring woman who hugged him and held his hand every time the war tried to engulf him again, the breathtaking moon goddess who was made of ice and melted under his arms, and his incredible navigator who always took them to the next island and stood by his side.

However, they were both internally shaken when they could see those same eyes again, in that place, at that moment.

Nami stood still. Her gaze locked on those charcoal eyes she had known all her life.

"Do you want to introduce yourself to the class?" Nami could hear someone's voice buzzing behind but she couldn't react until that person tapped her on the shoulder and she jumped a little embarrassed and apologized.

"M-My name is Nami" She vowed to the class clutching the books to her chest " n-nice to meet all of you" Luffy looked at her intensely as he chewed on his pencil. He felt like he knew her from before.

"Alright Nami, you can sit in the free seat by the window", said the teacher and she nodded getting anxious. She got to the seat right behind the boy she couldn't take her eyes off and the teacher started talking about other things to the class. She drifted away lost in thought as she was ordering her books when Luffy looked back with a smile on his face,

"I'm Luffy" he whispered introducing himself with a smile. He was looking deep into her eyes, looking for something? She looked into his dark orbs and smiled shyly waving her hand. He took her hand and she gaped a little "I don't remember you but I'm sure we're going to be best friends Nami" His smile grew and suddenly he was hit from behind. The teacher had thrown something at him.

"Monkey-kun, leave our new student alone" Luffy groaned a little and sat up properly looking straight up. Nami was a little taken aback at first but then she laughed a little. She liked him already. He had such a peculiar outfit. Starting with his strawhat. Somehow it looked familiar. She rested her hand on one of her cheeks looking at the back of his head with admiration and a sweet smile.

As weeks passed, Nami learned more about Luffy and his other friends: Zoro, an aspiring Olympic kendo swordsman, Usopp, a boy with an amazing imagination who wanted to travel the world, Sanji, an apprentice at Shibuya's most prestigious restaurant, "Baratie", who wanted to be the greatest chef, Chopper, a younger student who wanted to be the best doctor in finding the cure to all diseases, Robin, a quiet girl who loved history and wanted to unravel the still hidden mysteries of the world, Franky, an older student who worked part-time as a mechanic with his brother, Brook, another senior who played in the school band and wanted to have his own studio and orchestra someday, Jinbei, a former student who was best friends with Luffy's late brother and cared deeply for him, and Vivi, a girl who had to transfer to another school but still kept in touch with Luffy and his other friends through texts, phone calls or, as she had met her, video calls. She wanted to learn about her family business, as her mother had died when she was quite young.

Nami was surprised by all sorts of people surrounding such an interesting character as Luffy, but to be honest, when they walked down the hall together or when they went out, he seemed to attract quite a crowd of people to him. It had to be his charisma, she thought, or his smile.

Because of him, in her first week, she already felt comfortable at the new school.

From the first day, they had exchanged numbers and since then they texted, called, video called and sent memes and videos to each other every day. They were inseparable. It happened so suddenly, Luffy's friends were shocked at first, but when they met her and saw how they interacted with each other, looking into each other's eyes, there was an unspoken agreement between them, because from then on they used to leave them alone, leaving foolish excuses behind.

Nami didn't know the point, but she was happy to be left alone with Luffy. That way they could go to the rooftop and talk as they lay there looking up at the sky at the clouds while exchanging food and snacks.

"How's Vivi?" Nami asked as she popped some chips in Luffy's mouth.

"She said she was a little stressed about some exams coming up", he said as he munched on the fries Nami gave him, he handed her a slice of tangerine and she made a happy humming noise. It had been two months and they already knew a lot of things about each other, like Luffy loved meat-flavored chips and Nami loved tangerines.

"Mmm You should cheer her up ya know, she'll be happy if you do. I would" Nami chewed and replied. He looked at her. They were very close. She gave him another round of fries. He licked her fingers, yet she didn't care.

"Why don't we call her now then?" He pulled his phone out of his pocket. His school trousers were rolled up to his knees, as usual, the first buttons of his shirt open and off his trousers. His waistcoat and jacket in disarray. His beloved strawhat on his head and she still didn't know how he had been able to sneak those sandals inside the school. Still, Nami thought he was as good-looking as the first day she met him, with that intriguing scar under his left eye that he would never talk about. Luffy could be a very boisterous boy, but when it came to personal matters, he wasn't so blunt, on the contrary, he was quite reserved. And she admired that side of him.

He started the video call still lying too close to Nami on the roof of the school while they were on their break. Vivi took the call smiling.

"Hey guys!" Nami greeted cheerfully as did Luffy. They cheered her on and Nami gave her words of strength as Luffy couldn't take his eyes off Nami.

Vivi couldn't let that go unnoticed. And just then, as Nami continued to cheer her on, Luffy opened his mouth, only to be fed by Nami without changing her demeanour.

What was going on with them? Vivi blushed as she watched their exchanges and how Luffy rested his head on Nami's shoulder while she stroked his hair absentmindedly. He also gave her words of encouragement for her exams, but she couldn't think about that now. She could only watch as Luffy fed Nami some tangerine slices while she hummed in delight.

She interrupted Luffy, "Hey guys" They both raised their eyebrows acting the same way at the same time. Her heart jumped inside. "Has something happened recently that you haven't told me about?" they looked at each other with blank expressions and then towards Vivi shaking their faces. She frowned "Is that so?" the bell rang and they said their goodbyes to Vivi, who was quite astonished at how her friends behaved towards each other.

The next class was gym class. Luffy loved it. Nami hated it. They headed to their respective locker rooms to change and head towards the gym facilities.

Both changed into their shorts, T-shirt, and sports shoes, as did the entire class. When they arrived, their teacher, Silvers Rayleigh, was waiting for them, sitting on top of a wooden post in the middle of the facility. They looked up at him in amazement.

"Today's class is about strength, discipline, courage and determination" He jumped down the three-metre-high post to the ground, where there were thick mats to cushion the falls "You are going to climb up and grab the pennant I have left at the top. Everything is permitted. You can work together to get to the top. There are also many things you can take from the gym. I will evaluate each of you according to the decisions you make."

Immediately, the whole class began to fuss about the exercise as Rayleigh continued to look at them with a smile on his face and his hands on his hips.

"Well, I get it, this isn't for everyone..." He sighed still smiling and folded his arms "too bad, I was going to give a huge prize to the people who won."

The crowd began to quiet down and Luffy let out a shout drawing his teacher's attention.

"What kind of prize?!" He asked, "Is it food?!" He began to fantasize about all the chunks of meat he could eat if he won.

"The prize will be whatever you want" A dead silence reigned in the gym until someone gave a war cry and started running towards the wooden pole trying to climb it but it was too difficult. People started looking for climbing aids and making teams to help them climb.

Rayleigh analysed each of his students until he found something interesting in Luffy and Nami's demeanour.

Luffy had first thought of meeting up with his group of friends until he saw Nami in the middle of what looked like a battlefield and suddenly an image of a long-haired woman, wearing a bikini and shorts, with some kind of weapon in her hand and the rumble of thunder and the light of a flash of lightning blinded him and flashed past his eyes. He stood still in place, shocked. What had that been? It was Nami, he was sure of it... but... Was it another Nami?

Nami was about to retreat back towards her friends when she looked into Luffy's eyes through what might resemble a combat field and when someone pushed her she blinked and saw a white cloak with a blue "M" on it fall over her feet. She turned her eyes in Luffy's direction and saw a powerful man covered in dirt and blood smiling at her. He wore a straw hat on his head, sandals on his feet... but... his torso was bare with an X-shaped scar covering most of his chest and an open black coat. He had a lean, muscular body. His abs and pecs well built. He walked down towards her. Knee-length black jeans with a yellow sash tied at the waist. She blinked again and saw the Luffy she knew walking towards her. What the hell? That man was surely Luffy, but... She was still in shock when Luffy took her by the hand and led them both towards the wooden post. No words were exchanged.

They looked into each other's eyes and circled the pole. Nami reached out her arms towards him and he grabbed her by her forearms. She did the same with him. The post between them. He nodded and they started to climb up. They held each other by their legs and arms. Glimpses of the other Luffy and the other Nami in their eyes as they climbed until they reached the top. Luffy was the first to climb and took Nami's hand to pull her to his side. They took the pennant as a sign of victory and the previous silence was interrupted by cheers and shouts. Nami hugged Luffy at the top and hid her face under his chest. Her heart raced. His heart was racing too. He gasped with a wide grin.

Rayleigh looked proudly at them with his arm crossed and nodded towards them with a smile.

"You saw it too, didn't you?" whispered Luffy and Nami gave a little jolt of surprise. She looked into his deep eyes. They were mere centimetres apart. "You're seeing other versions of me too, aren't you?" her eyes widened. That was her answer and Luffy grinned widely letting himself free fall backwards into the thick mats as Nami still hugged him. She held him tighter as they fell and he embraced her back.

Their class came up to them clapping loudly and they parted. Rayleigh came up clapping.

"You're welcome, that was really unexpected and impressive. Now, what prize do you want?"

Luffy looked at Nami with a smile and then at their teacher "Can we slack off for the rest of the day?" Their teacher laughed loudly but allowed it.

After changing their clothes they both ran out of the school holding hands and reached a place they used to go to when they walked out of class. It was by the river. They lay down on the grass, catching their breath.

"How are they like?" Nami began, breathing fine after a minute "my other selves" She curled up, looking up at him. He smiled looking up at the sky. He had a huge grin plastered on his face.

"They're all as amazing as you" She laughed and punched him lightly on the arm.

"Come on, tell me about it!" she was very curious. He rolled over snuggling next to her with a smile. Their noses touched and he started talking about all the visions he had had of her other selves. Lolita Nami, teacher Nami, nurse Nami, moon goddess Nami and navigator Nami.

"I think Navigator Nami is the coolest," he said with a glint in his eyes, "b-but you're cool too!". Nami laughed it off and started telling him about the other selves she had seen of him. She talked about Robin Hood Luffy, firefighter Luffy, war soldier Luffy, sun god Luffy, and pirate Luffy.

"They all seemed cooler than you," she teased.

"Hey!" He complained

" In particular Pirate Luffy... He seemed... pretty interesting" She bit her lower lip as she smiled with a blush.

"What?! How did he look like?" Luffy was genuinely intrigued and... jealous?

"I think he still looks like... " She frowned in thought and he frowned too. "Luffy, I think that... we all do... we all exist at the same time" Luffy looked at her dumbfounded "And I think he's awesome...Pirate king?" She laughed loudly "What a dream!"

"Nami" Luffy whispered, his lips so close to hers. She stroked his hair, dropping his hat hanging to the cord of it, she smiled and kissed his forehead.

"I like you too. I... I like you a lot too" She let out a breathy sigh.

"Nami...I want to kiss you" She closed her eyes flushed and embarrassed

"So then just do it, you dummy..." He leaned in and kissed her softly. Their hearts jumped in their chests. He pulled away gently.

"I just want to kiss you...only you... I just want to be with you... forever..." She leaned in, kissing him again in answer. She felt the same.
