Rays of sun began to peak into the windows of the guild hall. Mirajane was there to open up Fairy Tail for the day. Every morning, the she-demon walks to her favorite place in the world. Working at the guild hall had several perks. The young wizard was a part of her favorite guild! While not having to go on many jobs like she used to, she made plenty of money as the bar maid. She loved making people happy, and this was a great way to do it.

Lately, her sister Lisanna has been coming to help her out in the mornings. Mira was very thankful for the extra hand! The guild is busier than ever, gaining more and more members everyday. The work was beginning to get overwhelming until her younger sister stepped in to assist her.

"Mira, the tables are wiped off. What'd you like me to do next?"

"Today's sweeping day! If you could start at the front and work your way back, I'd appreciate it." The she-demon grinned at her sister. "I'm going to start prepping for the breakfast crowd! When you're done, you can come help!"

The shape-shifting wizard nodded, moving towards the closet that her equipment is kept. Lisanna grabbed the broom and dustpan, beginning at the doors of the guild hall.

Over the last couple days, the young woman hasn't been able to get Natsu off of her mind. Coming back from Edolas meant the two of them could continue where they left off. For her, it meant the possiblity of them being together. She'd had the biggest crush on him for the longest time.

The doors of the guildhall opened, startling Lisanna. She turned around to see a pink haired wizard entering the guild hall, his exceed partner sleeping soundly. He was carrying several bags with him. The Dragon Slayer left them near the door.

Her eyes widened as she watched him and Happy walk up to the bar. After looking for Natsu for what seemed like days, here he was. Ever since Lisanna talked to her older sister, she's been debating on how to tell the guy within her view how she feels. After not finding Natsu at his house the two times she visited, the young wizard decided to give up for the time being. He was bound to show up at the guild hall sooner or later.

It seemed that day was today.

Once she's finished sweeping, the shape-shifing mage slowly walks up to the bar. The Dragon Slayer must have sensed her coming, because he turned in Lisanna's direction. "Hey! What are you doing here this early?"

"I've been helping Mira get the place ready in the mornings. She pays me a little extra cash for it, so it's nice." The white haired beauty leaned against the bartop. "What are you doing? I didn't think you got up this early."

"That's what I said…" Happy mentioned sleepily from atop Natsu's head.

"We're going on a mission." Natsu looked up at the blue cat. "No matter how much he may be protesting right now."

"Oh cool! Is it just the two of you?" Lisanna asked curiously.

"Lucy's gonna be here sometime." Natsu mentioned as he looked towards the clock. "I got here a little early."

The shift-shaping mage could feel her heart sink a little. She knew the two of them were very close. From the look of the young wizard's luggage, it could be a lengthy trip. Lisanna alread felt like she was going to explode, she needed to get these feelings out before they killed her.

"Happy! I have some breakfast cooking if you wanna come get it!" Mirajane yelled from the kitchen door behind the bar. As she spoke, the delicious smells began wafting to the front. This woke the little cat up, making him fly into the kitchen quickly.

Damn… It's almost like she can read my mind… Lisanna shook her head, cleaning the countertop nervously. All the prevous bravado she held, completely disappeared.

"It looks like you're going to be gone quite some time." The young wizard mentioned, not sure where to start.

"I'm not sure how long it'll take." The Dragon Slayer admitted. "I just want to be prepared for anything. I'm thinking we'll only be gone a couple of days."

"Well I'll miss you." Her cheeks turned a deep shade of red, unable to look in Natsu's direction. "Maybe when you get back, we could go on a mission together!"

"That would be fun." The pink haired wizard smiled at Lisanna. "I can't remember the last time we did that."

"It's been years." She giggled, allowing her hand to brush against the Dragon Slayer's. "It'll give us a chance to reconnect."

"Uh…" Natsu wasn't sure how to react. This was different than how his friend normally acted. "Yeah… we haven't spent a lot of time together since you got back."

Lisanna's heart was racing. The butterflies in her stomach were beginning to move into her throat. If I don't do it now, I'm going to chicken out!

The young woman leaned forward, pressing her lips gently to the Dragon Slayer's. The two didn't move for several moments, but eventually, the shape-shifting mage pulled away. As she did, she noticed more wizards entering the guild hall.

Natsu wasn't sure what to say. He was utterly speechless as he looked at Lisanna and then away. The pink haired wizard had been completely oblivious to her advances. He almost felt as if he'd deceived her. Natsu needed to clear the air. After his night with Lucy, the Dragon Slayer couldn't see himself with anyone else.

"Uh, Lis…" Natsu rubbed the back of his head. "I'm sorry…But I kind of have feelings for someone else. I didn't realize I was kind of sending you mixed signals, and that's not fair to you."

"Is it Lucy?" Lisanna questioned. As the young woman noticed the Dragon Slayer nodding, her heart sank. However, a small smile lifted her features. She didn't want to seem torn up about what just happened. "I should've known. The two of you seem to have a special connection."

"She's really special." A bright smile lit up the pink haired wiard's face. Looking at the clock, he noticed Lucy was running late. "I wonder where she's at. We were supposed to leave ten minutes ago." There was a knot in Natsu's stomach that wouldn't go away. He got up quickly and looked around the guild hall.

"I'm sure she'll be here." Lisanna mentioned before she starts attending to others at the bar.

"Be careful child! You'll fall in the water if you lose your balance."

Carla and Wendy were strolling towards the guild hall. Their bags were packed for their day-trip to the spa town! The Sky Dragon Slayer ran into town to grab some last minute needs. They were supposed to meet Erza at eight o'clock sharp! The young wizard didn't want to keep her waiting.

Both of them were ecstatic to get a day to relax. Wendy was a little nervous about Erza tagging along, the young Dragon Slayer had never witnessed her in a relaxed setting.

"Don't worry Carla, I'll be fine." The bluenette giggled as she hopped of the ledge, walking on the sidewalk again.

"Hey guys!" The duo heard a voice behind them. Turning around, they noticed Lucy waving.

"Good morning." Wendy smiled at the blonde. She slowed her pace, allowing the Celestial mage to catch up. The three walk towards Fairy Tail, each of them super excited for what lay ahead. "Are you excited to go on your mission?"

"Yeah, he didn't really tell me what the mission was. Just that part of the reward was a spirit key."

"That sounds like Natsu." The Sky Dragon Slayer giggled. "I'm sure it won't be too complicated."

"You'll just have to make sure there's enough reward money to cover his collateral damage." Carla snickered. The other two girls laughed along with her.

It didn't take long for the trio to reach the park next to the guild hall. There were several people out and about that morning. Many of them waved at the group of girls, knowing they were Fairy Tail wizards.

"Are you excited for your trip to Hosenka?"

"Yeah." Wendy smiled, looking at the ground as she walked. "I'm excited. I'm just a little nervous about being around Erza."

"Why's that?" Lucy questioned.

"I don't know… I've only ever gone on missions with her. While I'd consider us friends, I don't think we're very close. I don't even know what we would talk about."

"Erza's pretty easy to talk to. She can be a little intense sometimes." The Celestial Mage chuckled. "I know you'll make her feel comfortable, Wendy. You don't have a thing to worry about."

Lucy opened the doors of the guild hall quietly. The place was basically empty. She could smell Mirajane cooking in the back, putting a smile on her face. At first, she didn't notice the Fire Dragon Slayer at the bar. Instead, she decided to move to the request board once again.

The blonde's eyes gravitated towards the job request that she looked at last week. A solo mission going undercover, doing research. It sounded like a great opportunity to expand her horizions. Looking at the date, she noticed it had been on the board for quite some time. As she continued to examine it, she also observed the reward was rather small.

However in the fine print, it mentions all expenses being paid for the length of the service. Depending on how long you were gone, you were bound to rack up quite a few bills. The minimum reward would be enough to cover her rent for over a year.

Maybe this is the change I've been needing. The Celestial Mage contemplated as she observed the flyer in great detail. A solo mission isn't something that I would normally take. I've never seen myself as capable enough.

Lucy took the job posting off the board. After she returned from her mission with Natsu, she would take this one! The young blonde thought it would be a great first solo job. If all she was doing was some undercover work, what could be the harm?

After returning to Earthland, the Celestial mage has found all kinds of confidence in herself. Once the job posting was safely in her purse, the young mage turned around.

Every fiber of her being wanted to run out of the guild hall. Right in front of her, she witnessed Natsu and Lisanna kissing each other. They were the only two at the bar. All the color and blood drained from her face. The young blonde could barely think, let alone comprehend what she was seeing.

How could he?! The angry woman was contemplating on confronting the two wizards. However, she immediately felt tears sting her eyes. Lucy couldn't just walk up to them while she is this emotional and upset.

Instead of confronting them, Lucy grabbed every single one of her bags and exited. It was hard for her to see with the tears in her eyes, but she knew she pushed passed a couple of people on her way out. Screw going on this mission… As soon as he leaves town, I'm going to take the job I'm meant to.

Wendy stood there in complete shock, having witnessed what just happened. Her heightened sense of hearing allowed her to listen in on Natsu's conversation. The young Dragon Slayer's eyes widen.

"What on Earthland just happened?" Carla looked between Wendy, the bar, and the door. "Wasn't she supposed to go on a mission this morning?"

"Uhm… I think there's a misunderstanding, but what Lucy saw really upset her…" The Sky Dragon Slayer ran towards the door she left open, noticing Erza walking up the path towards Fairy Tail.

"Is everything alright with Lucy?" Titania questioned.

"Well… She just saw Lisanna and Natsu kiss. I think she was really upset because…" the young Dragon Slayer immediately stopped talking. That was something that Lucy told her in confidence. She couldn't just spill the beans like that. "Lucy thought Natsu and her were becoming closer recently."

"Do you have any evidence to support these claims?" Erza raised a brow. "I'd hate to have rumors going rampant around here."

"Well.. I was told something in confidence. I can't tell you what it is, but it's definitely enough evidence for me. It's almost like she's changed because of it."

Taking a deep breath, the scarlet maiden smiled. "Well, the client must still be the top priority. I should accompany Natsu on his journey."

"We'll tag along too!" Wendy smiled.

"I think it'd be best if you made sure Lucy is okay." Erza smiled. "You will be able to handle this much more delicately than I would."
