Author's Notes: Thank you for following along with my little crack-ship pairing of Cobra(Erik) and Erza Scarlet in an alternate universe! This story was fun to write!
Erza grinned as she grappled against Cobra or Erik. He was a stubborn, persistent man. Who made his intentions clear that he wanted her. And to make it better, Hisui had tried to claim him until she met Cuebelois. Who she personally found adorable. The giant serpent was charming too.
Max had been the one to marry Hisui. A message had been sent both from Fiore's King Toma telling Hisui she'd lose her title and lands and be cut from the Royal Families register if she didn't marry. It completely deflated the oversized ego of the princess.
And the other had been her Guild Master, who mentioned everyone missed her. If needed, he'd forward the other half of her payment so she could return safely and comfortably. He was even asking if she was going to stay for a vacation that was much deserved.
That'd been a few weeks ago.
"Hey, focus, red!"
Blinking and arching an eyebrow, Erza flashed Cobra a dark, toothy grin. Then switching from a spear to her giant hammer.
"Dammit!"
The way Cobra cursed at the site of "correction" appearing had ERza laughing as she swung it overhead and at the ground. While Jellal was pleasing to her eyes, Cobra stimulated her primal instincts.
Those same instincts had helped her survive and become the woman she was today. And Erza knew Cobra was more intelligent than he let on. It was fun trying to get Cobra to show that side.
"Cubelios."
Throwing her head back, Erza cackled in delight. Cubelios shot towards her, a bright glint in those dark eyes. At the last second, Cubelios wrapped playfully around her before slithering off.
Twisting, Erza raised and slammed "correction" twice in a row into the ground. Enjoying the way the sand flew up, obscuring her from view. Giving a sharp whistle as she shot forward, Erza enjoyed hearing Cobra cuss about 'crazy-ass red-headed women.'
Bursting through the sand, her hammer vanished as she grasped Cobra's thick tunic top. The shock shone in his amethyst eye, causing it to glow under the sunlight. The jewel-like quality drew her in as she head-butted him.
Letting go of his tunic, Erza watched as Cobra stumbled back and sat down hard on the (now) semi-loose sand.
"You give?" she asked as she watched him rub at his forehead.
"Yeah, yeah," Cobra groused.
"Good. When you're able to get up, you can clean the area, loser," Erza said, smiling widely.
000000
Cobra stared at the sand dunce below him. There wasn't much to clean. That crazy-ass redhead had turned quite a few dunes into glass.
But that wasn't what left him smiling like an idiot as he stared dumbfounded. Nope. The way she'd attacked had seemed random, uncoordinated. Not like her at all.
Throwing his head back, Cobra laughed loudly. Each attack she'd made shifted the dunes to spell out, "I DO!" in his native language.
This was the best and weirdest way to get an answer to his marriage proposal.
"Crazy woman, you're mine now," he muttered as Cubelios took them back to the ground.
He knew she was his life mate. A foreigner for a mixed blood like himself, and to him, she was perfect, just like the glass she'd made in the desert of Desierto.
The End!
