Bo

Bo sat staring at the scene before her. She has seen it so many times over the years. Only this time, she wasn't included in the scene. She tapped her finger on the counter and took in the rest of it. Lauren is having drinks. Laughing. Smiling. Almost flirting with everyone in reach of her. How could she be doing this? How could she party like nothing is wrong between them? For the last three months, she thought the woman was. She actually hoped it was true. That's the only reason she could come up with for Lauren not coming home. Coming back to her.

She could have had Dyson so easily. His pants practically sagged around her. That's how often he asked for it. Her eyes flared thinking of telling him no all of those times only for Lauren to come back and tell her no too. Well, she hasn't said it, but becoming Aife's human is the biggest fuck you Bo has ever seen without Lauren actually saying the two words together.

"Don't even think about it." A cold voice called Bo out of her thoughts.

"You don't know what I'm thinking." Bo growled.

"You are thinking about walking over there. You are thinking about putting your dirty hands on my human. She would be the last person you would ever touch, should you be stupid enough to do so." Aife stood beside watching Lauren. She smiled when the doctor did. It felt good to see the doctor cut loose outside of the office. Free and away from Aife's sick bed. She will always owe that woman for that. Anybody else would have probably run and given up, especially when she lapsed into her coma. But this doctor is committed to her patients.

"If Lauren is not owned by you and she's free to make her own choices, shouldn't she be able to make one by deciding if she wants to talk to me or not?." Bo turned to her mother.

Aife laughed. "Let's go ask her and find out." The Succubus walked step for step with Bo and gently called out to the doctor when they reached her. "Lauren, do you want to talk to my daughter?."

"I hadn't planned on it, no." Lauren laughed and turned back around to her group.

Bo gasped. That was not what she was expecting at all. Lauren had dismissed her and publicly too. "Lauren." She called out.

"No. As you can see I am enjoying myself. I won't be here much longer because Sarah and I have to work early in the morning." Lauren replied over her shoulder. She tapped her shot glass against Sarah's and drank the entire thing. "I've got the tab and tip." She threw money on the bar and walked away.

"See, she doesn't need you and your kindergarten class of friends." Aife laughed and left Bo standing watching as Lauren walked away from her and out of the building.

"8 am, Sarah." Lauren stretched and smiled.

"Geez, Dr. Lewis, that's early." Sarah laughed as she looked at the time.

"Oh? I can find your replacement then." Lauren pulled her phone out.

"No! No, I will be there, Doctor." Sarah bowed and jumped into her car. Lauren watched it drive off as her own car pulled up in front of her. "Take me home."

"Yes, Dr. Lewis." The Keeper said. Lauren sighed into the comfortable seat. She could have driven home, but she drank entirely too much to even entertain the thought to do so.

Bo was still standing there. Staring into nothing. Lauren had walked out on her. It was cold. It was thoughtless. Almost catatonic. That's it, Lauren has to be under some kind of spell. She has to be to want to be a claimed human to a succubus.

"Lady?! Get out, my bar is closed." A man popped Bo on her arm. The succubus growled and he jumped back. "This is my bar now." Bo grabbed him and threw him towards the doors. "Get out."

"Stand to your feet, Gordon. She can't claim a bar that is not hers to claim." Aife stood beside the man. He stood and smiled. "Thank you." He nodded and left them.

"I will go but this is not over." Bo walked past her mother and out the door. She had no idea where Lauren had gone but it was late and she needed to sleep and regroup.

Aife walked around the bar. She looked at every piece of paper. Every stain. Bo could have left something behind. She doesn't trust the young succubus at all. As far as she's concerned she chose the Fae over them. The only Fae she has any loyalty to is Vex. She wouldn't have known Bo was in that bar if it hadn't been for his lowlife contacts. Now those contacts work for her. She will own everything that Bo attempts to take over. She doesn't deserve anything good. She will never deserve Lauren.

The next morning

"That succubus is ruining our lives."

"Who can stop her?."

"We never had this problem with the Morrigan or the Ash!."

"Where's the Blood King? He could solve all of this."

Kenzi looked up at Trick when that went around the Dal. "Hello, Trick."

"Good morning Kenzi. Hangover?." Trick swallowed.

"That's what she has on you isn't it?." Kenzi whispered.

"Leave it alone, Kenzi." Trick shook his head. This is going to be a pain in his ass. When the Queen was murdered Aife literally left blood in the streets. Everyone she walked past died just for walking down the street. The Fae bodies were gathered up before the humans could get to them and discover they weren't human at all. She has him by his balls. She knows it. He knows it. She's probably laughing about it. But this time she has an army. A deadly one. If they find out who he truly is, his blood will be spilled and it won't be good for anyone. Human or Fae.

"I will drop it because I am sure Bo will find a way to handle this mess." Kenzi took a drink and spit it back out. "I've got it!."

"Got what?." Trick asked.

"Dyson. His strength combined with Bo's power was enough for her to toss Aife over the railing. If she can get it again, she can beat her ass and things will be back to normal." Kenzi smiled.

"I'm game." Dyson smiled as he walked up behind Kenzi.

"No." Trick said sternly.

"What? Why no?." Kenzi squinted at Trick.

"Two reasons. One. Bo is not exactly on friendly terms with Dyson. Two, Aife has the Una Mens. They would kill Bo and Dyson." Trick explained.

"Damn it. You fae always have a loophole." Kenzi sat back in her seat.

"We could make Aife disappear and say the Blood King came for her. That would free Bo to focus on other things" Dyson shrugged.

"That would still lead them back to me, Dyson. Think with your head and not your balls." Trick was angry now.

"Seriously, guys. We need a plan. Let's put our heads together and come up with one." Kenzi leaned.

"You better be planning a party because Lauren and Aife are off limits." Bo walked in and plopped on a barstool. "Your strongest liquor."

"Now, you want my liquor? What about last night? You practically spit in my face." Trick folded his arms.

"I can tell them too." Bo shrugged and folded her arms.

Trick rolled his eyes and nodded for Bo to be served.

"Bo, it's good to see you." Dyson smiled as he touched her back.

"Get off of me, Dyson." Bo pushed back with her back.

"Still chasing her? She doesn't want you, Bo. She could have come home and didn't. Don't you ever ask yourself why you tolerate that?." Dyson stood back but close enough for her to hear him talk.

"You know why I do. Or do I need to spell it out for you, again?." Bo bristled over her shoulder.

"Months, Bo. She was gone for months. No calls. No letters. No texts. Nothing. She's not in love with you anymore!." Dyson snapped.

"You chose to mate with me, Dyson. I didn't ask you to do that. Your hell is your hell." Bo stared at Trick. Her eyes begged the man to send the wolf on his way. But she has no control over Trick. Not like a granddaughter should.

"I didn't mate with you until you said I was yours. Who led who on?." Dyson fired back.

"I'm a succubus, that's in my nature, right?." Bo swung around and eyed Dyson.

"I also told you that she was just leading you on and that she was never going to love you. Where did I lie?." Dyson gestured around Bo's body. "She's not here."

"If you don't get away from me, you won't be here either." Bo raised both eyebrows.

"Dyson. Take your drinks over there, please." Trick held his hands up.

"Bo can't handle the truth. That's why she can't ever choose anyone." Dyson spoke over his back and walked to the back corner of the bar.

Bo spun back around. "I did choose, it just wasn't him."

"Wow." Kenzi laughed.

"What?." Bo angrily turned to her.

"You have two lovers and neither one of them knows that. Are you sure you aren't playing them off of each other like you did the first year I knew you?." Kenzi asked gently.

"Lauren is my choice. I won't ever have another one." Bo growled and turned back for another drink.

"But she doesn't know that." Kenzi shrugged.

"She doesn't but she will." Bo stared hard at the mirror in front of her. Trick has been selling his good stuff so she could spot her reflection in front of her. She didn't like the woman staring back at her. This is not her life. This is nothing close to what she wants.

Lauren's clinic

"Good morning and welcome to our first day! I know a big part of the clinic is still under construction but I thought we could start with a small office. That way no patients will suffer because they have to drive or walk for miles to the next clinic." Lauren spoke softly to the small staff she had quickly assembled. "Sarah is my second in command, reach out to her if you can't reach me. But I'm available 24/7 for anything regarding our work here. I have poured over your backgrounds a little bit. The rest we will learn about together. Open the doors and lets get started!." The blonde clapped excitedly.

Vex

Vex sat in his new Mustang watching and laughing at the Fae trying to enter Lauren's clinic. The Keeper was kicking their ass while allowing humans to enter. Those idiots really think a Fae can't spot a Fae? He laughed again and pulled off. He doesn't want Lauren to feel like she needs eyes on her at all times. The Una Mens will keep her clinic free of bullshit. Even wolf shit.

Aife

The old succubus was up and in her new office building. Slowly, she walked through each room monitoring the construction going on. When it was failing to meet her expectations, she killed the worker and called for his replacement. "I said perfection and I meant it!." She screamed.

"Yes, ma'am!." The workers screamed and worked faster and with precision.

"See that they are done by the end of this day." Aife ordered as she passed one of her Una Mens.

"Yes ma'am." The Una Mens spoke collectively.

Aife was helped into her limo and she picked up paperwork that had been left inside. Lauren and Vex had been supplied everything that they asked for. Lauren's house is complete and clean. Vex's isn't but he's living out of a hotel suite at the expense of the owner. Lauren is at work actively working. "Good, good." she thought.

She went home and walked around her own house. This is how a succubus should really live. Servants at the ready. This whole colony will serve her when the time is right. They will bow to a princess someday to be the Queen. The last Queen was sweet but could be nasty when she wanted to be. She should have been nasty and let Trick die in her place. That bastard will do no good for anyone.

Bo

Bo had her fill of the Dal scene. Same ole shit. Kenzi drinking herself into oblivion. To be honest she had been tired of the Dal scene. Just sitting on her ass drinking the free booze. She longs for more. She aches for more. Dyson stayed away like she asked him to and found someone else to mack on.

Lauren. Why Lauren? Why didn't she come back for Bo? Why did she break up with her and leave her in the same week? She was supposed to stay there. Heal up. Take the space that Bo was trying to give her. A whole day until she couldn't take it anymore then called her. Another case had called her into service and she went with Kenzi. Her succubus started to get that itch. So, she called Lauren. Lauren didn't answer and why? Because she had left her phone behind. She was done with the Fae world. She didn't even tell Hale she was leaving. She left Bo too. Why? Taft? He's dead and long has been. So, she escaped to and with another succubus. Dyson had said they made plans for them to talk once she called and was settled in somewhere. Then his phone never rang or if it did, he never said so.

Every part of her burned thinking he probably didn't. It would scratch his itch if and when Bo finally caved and slept with him again. But his aura was so horny that she shook it off. She didn't want to fall back into his bed. It would be like sitting at the Dal all day not doing nothing but waiting for Fae shit to happen. She's fae. She needs to make things happen.

Make things happen like Lauren is with Aife. To a naked eye it would look like Lauren trying to get over on the Ash, but that's not what Lauren's aura is telling Bo. She actually likes Aife. Respects her. Something is up with them. Something between them but what can it be? That angered her succubus. If someone is going to claim Lauren, it should have been Bo and only Bo. Lauren doesn't want to treat the Fae anymore. So, there is no reason for Bo to drag Kenzi into her clinic. Besides, if Kenzi breaks something this time, it would be Lauren's equipment. Not something the fae would have to fix, something Lauren would have to have fixed.

She yanked at her hair. Lauren is living a high life now. The life that has always been there on the surface. Luxuries. Cars. Houses. Always something to do. Some patients to treat. Never needing to sit in a bar all day like a bleacher bum.

She sighed and sat still in her car. Her car. She looked at the outside. Rust. No. No this Succubus is not going to live like this. Not anymore. If she wants her life to match Lauren's she has to make her own shit happen. She started the car and drove off. She looked left. She looked right. What the hell? Is she being mocked? Mercedes and every other car she knows she can't afford flanked hers from all directions. Succubi never work, came to mind and it pissed her off. Thinking about how Aife dressed. If she doesn't work, how does she get everything? Bo took a deep breath and thought. The same way she gets out of paying for meals. Dumb Bo, dumb. You could have done all of that before.

An hour later, she had a new car. Now she was on her way to shop for new clothes. If she's going to try and date a doctor again, she needs to look the part. Stop the bullshit and pick something, her succubus growled. Bo shook from the force of it and grabbed a few outfits. She touched the cashier's hand and that was that. She was on her way out of the store with her outfits. She hung them in the back of her car and raced to the shack to shower and change. She packed up her bags and took one last look at her bed. Memories of her and Lauren there flashed in her head. The sad times. The happy times. How Lauren, how? How could you leave that? She mashed her teeth together, and walked out. Kenzi can have the whole thing.

How to find Lauren. How? She tapped her steering wheel. This is going to be hard as hell considering she is not treating the Fae, so Bo can't take any fae cases to her. Vex? He's too strong. Lauren probably gave him some kind of serum that amped up his powers. The Una Mens? She doesn't quite know their powers yet. She could get Trick to call on them, but he won't because she pissed him off with her tirade last night. Dyson? Yeah, Bo, that's exactly who Lauren would want to see with you. Damn it, she said, slamming her hands on the wheel. She raised her head and smiled. "That's it."

"We're closed!." Gordon screamed.

"Get Aife here, now!." Bo gripped the back of his neck. Her pulse was so strong, he couldn't do anything but oblige.

Thirty minutes later, the old Succubus walked in. "You must have snatched the wolf's balls for yourself to call me out like this." She laughed.

"Lauren is mine." Bo seethed as she dropped the man on his ass.

"Lauren is her own. If that's why you called me here and dress like that now, you are dumber than the company you keep." Aife waved Gordon out of the room. "Go do what you need to do for tonight."

"A succubus should never claim what is not hers." Bo's succubus surfaced.

"Aww this is cute. But didn't I tell you how to mark your territory?." Aife rubbed her hands together.

"Unclaim her!." Bo's succubus raged at the woman.

"I will not. You can save your energy little one. We know without the wolf's strength, you ain't shit at fighting me." Aife's eyes flashed blue and back. "Leave the doctor alone. She's living the life she wants. The life she deserves. Come near her again and I will take your human and those other fucks you prioritized over the both of us." Aife stood tall. She didn't flinch.

"Kenzi is Bo's claim. Lauren is mine." Bo's succubus railed.

"Wrong. She is my claim and she will stay my claim for as long as she lives. Or for as long as she wants to. She can ask me, but I will never do it for you. I won't do anything for you. I wish I would have given birth to a daughter with balls and not such a weakling. You are too weak to get the doctor again and that is what is pissing you off. You thought by dressing up you will impress her. You don't know her at all. This shit and whomever pimped your ride won't work with her." Aife held her stomach as she laughed.

"Lauren will be mine, again. You will release her because she will ask you to." Bo's succubus stepped closer to her mother.

"What are you doing here?." Lauren spoke softly.

"Tell her you don't want to be her claim anymore, Lauren." The succubus raged as she stared at Aife.

"I will not. I asked her to do it and actually I kind of like it. I don't have to put up with the mickey mouse club antics anymore." Lauren walked over.

"Get out of here, Lauren. You don't need to see this little shit's tantrum." Aife shook her head as the doctor walked closer.

"No. I came to see you, Bo can leave." Lauren shook her head.

Bo's succubus laughed. "She just signed your death certificate." She jumped at Aife and tried to pull her chi but coughed.

"See? Dumb." Aife laughed as Bo coughed up black smoke.

"Lauren? You gave that thing to her!?." Bo's eyes were wide open.

"Did you think there was only one in the world? Silly succubus, tricks are for kids." Aife laughed.

"Gordon? Can I get a drink?." Bo panted. He walked over and handed her a glass of water. She reached out and grabbed his neck. Once again, she coughed up black smoke. "He has one too." Lauren replied.

"Did you happen to spot the new car and new clothes on the baby fae, Dr. Lewis? She thinks riches will bring you back to her." Aife laughed.

"That won't impress me." Lauren laughed as she took a drink from Gordon.

"You are my choice, Lauren." Bo sighed.

"You are no longer mine." Lauren replied.

"Is she your choice?!." Bo angrily pointed at Aife.

"Lauren Lewis is my choice." Lauren replied and handed the glass back to Gordon as she and Aife walked off to another room.

Bo stood stunned again. Lauren doesn't want her anymore. She chose herself and Bo knows she can't compete with a doctor on her own level. "Vex. Vex will tell me how this shit happened?." She gritted her teeth.
