It was Christmas Eve at Gotham City. It was a snowy night as our primary focus began at Arkham Asylum.

The guards stood armed with Thompson sub-machine guns and observed inmates and doctors from above. The inmates either decorated the room with Christmas decor or sang Christmas carols. There was even a Christmas Tree for them to decorate. One of the walls had a banner decor that read; "Merry Christmas" on there. As for the Christmas carols, they were singing jingle bells. One of the inmates made his twisted version of the Christmas carol that was the clown prince of crime; the Joker!

"Jingle Bells Batman smells, Robin laid an egg," Joker tossed his carol sheet. "The Batmobile lost a wheel," He went to one of the inmates and received the treetop ornament, climbed up the ladder, "And the Joker got A-Waay!" The Joker placed the treetop ornament on top of the Christmas tree, and suddenly the tree itself started igniting underneath like a rocket and everyone evacuated the room!

Removing the treetop ornament and wearing it on his head, he starts his signature laughing, kicks off the ladder bear hugs the top of the tree with both arms and legs. The Christmas Tree/Rocket launches from the floor and through the skylight! The Joker has escaped Arkham Asylum while singing another version of his Christmas carols, "Crashing through the roof, in a one-horse open tree, busting out I go, laughing all the wheee-ha hah ha ha ha!"

At the Bat Crypt, with news of Joker's escape from Arkham Asylum. "C'mon Batman! It's Christmas Eve. Let's kick back and get into the spirit," Robin complained. "I want to do the same thing, but the Joker's escaped from Arkham Asylum Robin," Batman countered back. The Dynamic Duo was heading towards the Batmobile.

"And you really think he's gonna make his move on Christmas Eve?" Robin continued Batman, nonetheless skeptical about this, "Even scum spend the holidays with their families." There was no doubt about the Joker Batman still having flashbacks of facing him and a gang called "The Jokerz" from his original timeline.

"I want to kick back and relax also. But the Joker had to screw it all up! Do you understand? Oh, one more thing. He has no family," Batman complained/countered once again. Robin's eyes widened as he discovered that Batman desired to kick back and relax to enjoy and celebrate Christmas as much as he did. He suddenly thought of an idea.

"Ok. I'll make a deal with you. If we go out on patrol and Gotham is quiet with no sign of the Joker, we come back to the apartment, have Christmas dinner with Rocky and her friends, and watch It's a Wonderful Life," Robin proposed as the both of them hopped inside the Batmobile with Batman on the Driver's Seat. Ba"Y'know, I've never seen it," Batman admitted, "I could never get past the title." The Batmobile's roof closed above them.

"It's a deal then?" Robin asked once again, hoping it would happen. Batman turned to him, "Deal."

The Batmobile's engines revved up as its lights were on. The car drove off into the snowy winter night of Gotham City!

Christmas reefs hung on lampposts, and the citizens were idly walking along. The tune of a saxophone could be listened to in the background. There was one dressed as Santa Claus wiping the snow off a car. One of the citizens donated a coin in money can by the saxophonist.

A Christmas Tree was close to the ice rink with skaters on the ice.

Another man dressed as Santa was next to his donation pot. On his left hand while ringing a bell in his left hand. As citizens passed by, some voluntary donations were in the pot. Above them on a rooftop were Batman and Robin on patrol, observing the people from above.

Robin turned his attention to Batman, "Doesn't it warm your heart to see everyone in the spirit of Christmas?" "Yeah I agree, but I wouldn't let my guard down yet," Batman agreed with Robin about getting into the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately, their patrol wasn't over yet. Batman obtained a Batarang attached to a cable from his utility belt. Chucked it high above, quick tug, and swung to the next building. Robin did the same as Batman and followed suit.

The dark knight scrunched on the corner of a rooftop as Robin finally caught up to him. Observing below, he discovers an elderly lady walking down the sidewalk. She wore glasses, a heavy blue winter coat, grey gloves, and holding a purple purse in her left hand matching her heels. She also had a wrapped gift in the other hand.

Robin finally caught up with him, "You're hopping believe there's no use for us for one night?" "Just once in a while," Batman admitted turning his attention towards Robin for a moment.

Suddenly, Batman spotted what seemed to be a street punk who wore a green jacket, black shirt, shoes, and belt with a silver buckle, and blue jeans, running after her though he didn't want to jump the gun just yet. The young man/street man called to her, "Hey lady! Hold up!" She turned to her rear towards him as he continued, "You dropped this package a couple of blocks back!" "Oh! It's for my grandson thanks so much," she received the package and gave the young man a peck on his right cheek, and bid farewell, "Merry Christmas."

"Now can we go home?" Robin asked in an annoyed tone. Batman smirked and said, "Race ya to the Batmobile!" Batman headed off to the Batmobile before Robin could as the boy wonder just yelled at him, "No Fair!"

Terry and Dick, having returned to the apartment. They were about to have Christmas Dinner with Rocky and a couple of her friends. Unfortunately, Rocky received a call that one of them couldn't come which was fine.

Terry arrived from the kitchen and told them, "The Christmas Goose will be ready shortly." One of Rocky's friends was sitting at the dining table with her and Dick; Kathy Duquesne. If Terry remembered correctly from the Old Man, she was supposed to be the second member of the Batwoman trio. This just got interesting around here.

Unfortunately, he couldn't help but think that his involvement has impacted the past. Not just that but he also the Joker escaped from Arkham on Christmas Eve as he remembered from the Old Man.

"-erry! Terry! Are you with me man?" Dick's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. Terry was no longer in his thoughts and was back in the real world. He saw the concerned look on Dick's face and gave him a reassuring smile, "Yeah. I was lost in my mind." Dick decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, "Now just relax Terry. You're gonna love "It's a Wonderful Life", it's a great movie."

"It's not relentlessly cheerful is it?" Terry asked. "No. It's about how much of a difference one man can make to a city," Kathy decided to intervene. "Doesn't that sound familiar?" Rocky added. They all headed to the living room to watch the movie while the goose was still cooking.

Inside the living room, they all sat on the couches together. Rocky and Dick on one and Terry and Dick on the other. Dick grabbed the remote and turned on the tv however it was showing something else and not the movie.

Dick was confused and assumed it was something else, "Eeh…wrong channel. Some kind of Christmas special." He kept changing the channel but it only revealed the same program on tv.

""It's a Wonderful Life" will not be seen this year," the anonymous tv host wearing a red fleece over a green sweater, purple pants, green socks, and black shoes leaning by the chimney said The anonymous tv host "In its place is the following." The tv host finally revealed his identity, "Joker here! Greetings Gotham and Merry Christmas!" With his usual smile on his face live on tv, "I hope you're watching Batman! This one's for you! Ah-ha ha ha aaahhh ha ha ha ha!"

Everyone was shocked to see the Joker was live on tv. Terry, however, had a serious look on his face.
