Taran is a small village, so even if less than half of the raid party was laughing, the entire village would hear it. Asuna sighed as she and Sinon watched Riyu run off towards the bathroom cupping her mouth as the liquid poured out of the sides, splattering other players as she tripped and staggered away from sight. The laughter died down when Diavel shouted after she was gone, the words were lost to Asuna's ears. She didn't pay him any attention. Her concern was Riyu and Sinon.
Asuna looked down at the food on the table, covered in the censored rainbow colored slime. She caught Sinon in the corner of her eye, forking some of the disgusting paste into her mouth with some of her own food. Her eyes lit up with surprise and she didn't seem in any way disgusted.
"Oishii."
Asuna took the plate before Sinon could take another forkful and tossed all three of their plates into the trash. "I'm going to check on her." She said, pursing her mouth to try and hide her disgust.
Sinon's cheeks puffed out slightly but then she elicited a sigh when Asuna mentioned her, at which point she nodded slowly. "Yeah, her anxiety has always been like that. I'm kind of used to it now. She used to throw up in the real world too. It smelled worse and looked less appetizing back then. It's probably for the best if you go, since I seem to be the one causing it right now. I'll be… outside, getting some fresh air."
Asuna sighed as she watched Sinon get up and brush a lock of hair out of her eyes before she went left.
Asuna also left, in the opposite direction, towards the bathrooms. She opened the door and was immediately met by the heaving of somebody vomiting. It made her uncomfortable, but she pressed on. Even if they'd only met a short time ago, they were the first good people she'd met in this world, besides… Mito. She shook the thoughts from her mind and stepped inside. No going back now.
"I'm a fucking disgrace to all people who confess their feelings to- BUWAAAAAARGH!"
Asuna rolled her eyes, Riyu did often tend towards the melodramatic. She pressed her back to the door and opened her mouth to say something, but another voice beat her too it.
"You're already going through enough, you don't need to make this harder for yourself. You didn't even get rejected."
Asuna recognized that voice, so she stayed quiet.
"You were listening? Stalker." Riyu said as she took in a deep breath, then it started again. She seemed to be in some kind of negative feedback loop.
"Well, I was curious… and sitting right next to you guys, but I admit… Maybe I am stalking Asuna… I don't know how to apologize and it's frustrating especially after what I did."
"What did you do? Can't have been any worse than embarrassing yourself in front of everyone who thought you were a badass twice in the same day… I want to crawl into this toilet and die in its bowl like a rat during the night."
Mito snickered. "Sorry, its not funny but it is because I saw a picture of a rat dead in a toilet once."
"You have a pretty twisted sense of humor."
"Thanks." Mito said light heartedly and Asuna noted the sound of patting. "But yeah, it is worse. I thought she was dead, so I abandoned her… I could've easily confirmed that she was still alive by calling her, but I didn't want to confirm the worst by… well… her not answering."
"That's pathetic." Riyu stated bluntly.
Asuna could only imagine what Riyu's face looked like, dripping with tears and snot, and rainbow colored vomit calling Mito something like that.
"Says the person crying and puking in a toilet in a stall after confessing their feelings to their best friend."
BUWAAAAAAAARGH!
"It's in my eyes! It's in my eyes!"
Asuna covered her mouth to try and keep herself from laughing, hearing her friend's reasoning for not contacting her, and even their little argument. She snickered at first, then laughed louder and louder. Until her ribs hurt. "This world is pretty fucking crazy." She said, adopting Riyu's manner of speech for a minute.
"Asuna?"
"Mito."
"Me." Riyu said.
