It turned out that Aunt Petunia remembered students were unable to use magic outside of school.

So the minute that Harry stepped into the house all his school things were shoved into the cupboard under the stairs, he was lucky that he wasn't shoved in as well.

As it was he was still expected to do a long list of chores every day, including a special clean of the floor in front of his bedroom door where several locks and a cat flap had been installed. It wasn't all bad however, due to the fact that Harry now had a room he was able to spend the little free time there and not have to be out being chased by Dudley and his friends.

Sadly Hedwig had to be locked in her cage and was unable to be let out for the duration of the summer, so while he did have company while he was locked in his room, she was not able to spread her wings or deliver mail to his friends.

It wasn't all bad though or at least Harry wanted to believe that, as long as he got all the chores done to his Uncle's standards he would be fine.

Harry had only been at the house for a week and today was the first day that he was unable to fully complete the list of chores, but it wasn't his fault, really, he had done the vacuuming and mopping just after breakfast (of which he had a piece of buttered toast), so when Dudley had come inside after terrorizing the neighbourhood with his gang, he had tracked mud and dust throughout the hallway. Harry had been unaware of this because he had been out back dealing with the plants and flowers that Aunt Petunia needed planted today. Harry had spent the whole afternoon working on the flowers because of the specific care he had to take with some of the flowers and as such was had just finished in time to come inside to be yelled at for not doing the floors. He didn't argue back for he knew if he did it would be worse, but he went and got the vacuum and mop bucket and went to work. Halfway through however, Vernon came home and the colour his face became was one that Harry had not seen before, a sort of red-purple with shades of yellow and green as well. His Uncle was decidedly not happy to come home to an unfinished chore list, being sent to his room was only the beginning of his punishment that night.

On the Islands that were once known as Berk, Hiccup had managed to settle the young Norwegian Ridgeback in nicely with the other dragons that he had rescued over the years. He was also able to give the little one a full look over and health check and discovered that Norbert was actually female dragon.

Meanwhile Toothless was looking for a way to convince Hiccup to keep the little human nestling from the other night, maybe if Hiccup saw how much Toothless wanted the child, he would allow Toothless to go and get him.

Grabbing hold of the blankets that Hiccup often used to keep orphaned eggs warm, Toothless started to make up a small nest similar to that of Hiccup's own nest. Hopefully by making a Hiccup-nest he would show that he could take care of another Hiccup-Hatchling.

"Bud, wha-what are you doing, are those the hatching blankets?" oh no Hiccup came in before he had finished the nest, now he would never get to keep the new hatchling.

"Toothless did you make this for that boy, was there something about him that made you concerned, or did you just like him?" Hiccup said moving some of the blankets into a more rectangular shape.

Toothless didn't really know how to tell his human that both of the reasons were why he was building the nest. He didn't know how to tell Hiccup that he had felt the same type of connection with the boy as he had with his Hiccup all those years ago. A bond that would tell him of the being on the other end is in danger.

A bond that was starting to ping like crazy.

A bond that he had with the boy.

Bond.

Danger.

Boy.

His new human was in danger.

He had to get to him.

NOW.
