Chapter 6: The Future Stares Back
Tyler and Sammy soon see Captain Terry, Chris, and Owen lying on the floor while feeling tired.
"You girls pooped?" Tyler asked.
"Yep," they respond.
"Since you been helping Sammy and me, I'll let you three off the hook."
"Haha! Good one!" Chris laughed.
"That wasn't a joke? Anyway, I'm off to where the signal is."
"Good luck, Agents 3 and 3.5," Owen said.
"We'll be cheering you on," Captain Terry said before he left.
When he and Sammy enter the kettle, O.R.C.A said while Tyler is equipped with the Hero Gear, "Unauthorized personnel prohibited beyond this point."
"(What does that mean?)," Sammy asks.
"We'll think about it later. Come on, let's go find that old Senior Advisor," said Tyler, going through the entrance.
Callie then said, "I'm getting a strong reading up ahead. It might be Gramps!"
"Go check it out, Agent 3," said Marie as Tyler used a launchpad to get on the field.
But then a voice is heard saying while screens came on the background, "NOT SO FAST!"
Frye then appears, falling before the duo with her eel mask on the right of her forehead.
She then said, "You're pretty tough. I can tell! How 'bout this? You call it quits, join my crew, and we'll split the treasure!"
But in response, Tyler growled like a dog and turned his head away from Frye.
"(That's a no.)," Sammy commented.
Feeling down, Frye said, "Bah. You wanna resolve this Splatlands-style, huh?"
"And that is?" Tyler and Sammy said together.
"Fine by me! DANCE BATTLE TO THE DEATH!"
"What?!"
She takes out a Been Pungi to play a tune after saying, "Eels, get your wriggle butts out here!"
The music then summons the corpse of Octostomp, which is now yellow and has its eyes removed.
Once Frye got on top of it, and three of her Moray Eels came from the face of Octostomp, they roared as Sammy shouted in fear, "(It's the Eel Deal, Frye!)."
"I've seen scarier things than that," Tyler commented.
"HUP, HUP, HUP! LET'S DANCE!" Frye shouted before making the Octostomp spin on one corner for her to be on top.
"Isn't that Octostomp Frye is using?" Captain Terry transmitted.
"Yeah, it is. But where did she find it and make it to do that?" Chris added.
"Third dance! Hundred-Eel Vision!" Frye commanded.
Her Morey Eels came shoot ink to shoot ink at the duo.
"Is what they can do? Time to shoot back," said Tyler, shooting at the Eels while avoiding being hit.
One hit from her eel caused Frye to say, "No! Don't hit ME!"
With one more hit, she said, "GWAH! You threw my balance off!"
"(Shoot at the sides, Big Bro, to swim up and shoot her!)," Sammy said.
Tyler did as he was told to climb up.
While shooting Frye until she's splatted, Callie says, "Go now, Agent 3!"
Tyler the super jumps off from the top before Frye's squid ghost respawns from the top of Octostomp.
She then said, "Alright, alright. Not bad! You ready to fEEL the pain?"
After her eels respawn from the sides and she plays her Been Pungi, she makes Octostomp spin again, saying, "Now…watch this!"
"Watching you spin around makes me barf," Tyler yelled back.
"Good comeback," Owen commented.
"Second dance! Moray Whirlpool!" Frye commanded.
This caused to send out an expanding circle of eels while Frye said, "Grind this fool into PASTE!"
But Tyler shoots them back while Frye says, "HEY! Take your hits like an eel! Don't fly back at ME!"
"Ooo, hey! If you beat the masked eels, they'll hit her instead of you!" Marie said while Octostomp stopped spinning.
Tyler starts to swim up to Frye to shoot her down.
"Make those eels squeal!" Captain Terry cheered as Tyler shoots.
Then Marie commented while he super jumped off, "Wow, Captain Terry is fired up."
Once Frye respawned, Tyler yelled, "Hey, French Frye! Your forehead is so big as a melon that seeds come out of your ears!"
"(Oh, Frye burn!)," Sammy remarked.
Offended and very angry by this, she responds, "Hey! You think you can treat my eels like shrimp? WRONG! NUH-UH!"
Her eels respawned for her to say, "All you did was wake us up."
After playing her Been Pungi once more, she makes Octostomp spin, saying, "I'm firing it up… MORAY POWER! Good luuuck!"
"Seriously, how is she making it spin by herself?! Must be stronger than she looks, considering how wide her hips are," Chris commented.
"Final dance! Great Moray Transformation!" Frye commanded.
Her eels assumed a fish-like formation and began relentlessly charging at the duo while continuing, "Surf THIS wave, hotshot!"
"Well, thanks to the fight, I'll give your eels an EElectriFRYing SMACKDOWN!" Tyler said while doing the Splashdown.
All of the eels were launched onto Frye, causing her to lose balance said, "GYAH! WHAT GIVES?!"
"(Go, Big Bro!)" Sammy cheered as Tyler swam up to Frye.
While shooting her, Marie sang, "Now's your chaaa-aaance!"
After she was splatted, Tyler quickly super jumps off. Frye then respawns while one knee is in pain.
"Grr! You're WAY stronger than you look…." Frye said to Tyler.
"For once, I'll take a compliment from an Inkling," he replies.
"But you haven't heard the last of Deep Cut!"
"Bet you'll miss me! Ha!" she said before unknowingly throwing a smoke bomb at Octostomp.
This caused it to explode in blue ink and Frye to be sent flying with her eels.
"Was she flirting with me or taunting me?" Tyler confused.
"(I don't know, but I think she wasn't aiming to make her robot explode.)," said Sammy.
The vault in the room opens to show the signal is aminating on that first Treasure thing.
Tyler then went over to it and said, "This is the treasure?"
"Oh. The reading was coming from…this thing. Well, we fought for it, so nab it anyway!" said Marie.
"Eh, why not? It'll be good usage to piss French Frye off."
Soon, Tyler and Sammy arrived at the camp base with the 1st Treasure thing with the Squid Sisters, Captain Terry, Chris, and Owen.
Callie said, "Whew! That was some great work, Agent 3. And you got this…thing! But not Gramps."
"It's treasure. Or at least, I think that's what it is. We can keep it here for now," Marie says.
Chris started kicking it a few times and said, "Haha! A little punishment for it tricking us into thinking it was ol' Cuttlefish."
"Quit it, Chris," Owen said while making her stop.
But then Cuttlefish transmission is heard saying, "…copy! Do you copy? Over! Anyone listenin'? Do you read me?! Over!"
"It's Gramps!" Marie said in joy.
"Gramps, where are you right now?" Callie asks.
"Callie, Marie-my darlings. You're OK!" Cuttlefish reply.
"Yep, we're A-OK! WAIT. We should be asking if you're OK! Are you OK, Gramps?"
"It's cute that Callie and Marie are Grandpa-girls," Captain Terry commented.
Then Cuttlefish transmits, "Oh, sure. I mean, I'm locked in some kinda dark room, which I guess ain't exactly ideal….I'll see if I can break out. Over!"
But Marie said, "Don't do anything too rash! We're tracking your signal right now and on our way. Call us if anything happens!"
"Whew…I'm glad he's OK. C'mon, let's take a look at the new readings from his signal," said Callie.
"Let's jump to it!" Tyler said before jumping back to Site 2 with Captain Terry, Chris, and Owen.
They appear before a pipe to Site 3.
"Hey, Agent 3, while you were battling Frye. I had the time to make these for Captain Terry, Chris, and me," said Owen, taking three robot versions of Sammy but with three different hairstyles: Default(Captain Terry's), Spiky(Chris's), and Pompadour(Owen's).
"Robots of Sammy?" Tyler confusion.
"(Yeah! Buddies!)" Sammy said in excitement.
"We can't let Sammy do all of the cleanings for us. We want to give him a break. Penny, with 2000 Power Eggs, eat the Fuzzball!" said Owen, throwing her robot Smallfry.
It eats the Fuzzball for it to clear, and Chris says, "Hooray! It works!"
"I named mine, Denny and Chris named hers, Sally. Let's go, everyone," said Captain Terry, leading them into the pipe.
While in the pipe, Callie said, "Alright…let's see what we can find out at the next site!"
"I just hope Gramps is safe wherever he is," said Marie.
Once arriving at Cryogenic Hopetown, the 3rd Site, Callie continued, "Watch out! It's all slippery over there!"
"Between the fake snow and lack of Gramp's signal, it seems like NOTHING is chilling here."
"Well…we should investigate just in case. We'll follow your lead, Agents, and Captain Terry. Watch your step!"
"Hey, uh, Agent 3. Since we have known each other for a while, how about we address each other by name?" Owen suggested.
"By name?" Tyler reply.
"Yup. As you already know, Agents 1 and 2 are Callie and Marie, Captain is Terry, Chris is Agent 4, and I'm Owen. We know your brother is named Sammy, what about you?"
"I think not to give away my name. It's taking a while for an Inkling and Octoling to gain my trust. Just Agent 3 will be fine. Let's clean this place up, ladies."
As Tyler walks off, Captain Terry says, "I wonder. I still don't get what he has with Inklings and Octolings."
"I'm just worried that this issue is not good for his health. He seems to be emotionally and mentally damaged," Chris said.
"We'll think about it later. Cuttlefish is our main priority now," Owen said before they all split up.
