Chapter 8: The Darkness Inside

Back at the tower, Enchantress was listening to Black knight as he was talking about the loss.
She sighed and replied, "We should of known they wouldn't be anyone help to us at all. We need to stay away. Let all my troops know that they cannot enter their area at any time."
"Yes, Enchantress. They were lucky that guard was a amazing duelist. They may be trouble for us if we have to face them again, madam."
"I know, I know. Just let Specter Knight and his two servants know they're coming for them soon."
"As you wish, my mistress.", The knight said as he walked out of the chamber and she turned to the outside that had a great view of the island and she sighed and replied, "I'll destroy you and your troops, you old timer monarch. Those kids will be destroyed by me and my powerful knights and spirits. You'll never win."

Back at the bunker, the gang was talking to Lord Pridmoor about the duel that happened. Emmie was more then awake and chatting as well.
Pridmoor looked at Rowan and he replied, "Me and your father are so proud of you right now, son. You are a really brave guard and you did that to save someone that we needed in the group right now. I'm so proud of your hard work and thank you for doing so."
"It was the thing to right now, sir. I had to do it to save her.", Rowan said with a smoke.
Emmie looked at him and replied, "Thank you so, so much for freeing me from that group, Rowan. I'm so glad everything went well and I'm safe again."
"Anytime, my friend. Anytime."
The king nodded and replied, "After what had happened today, let's head to the Lich Yard tomorrow after you're all rested up.
The ladies all nodded and then Rowan looked at Jordan and replied, "Come with me after the evening meal and we'll do some trading, Jordan."
"Sounds like a great plan to me, my friend."

Inside of his room, Rowan and Jordan were trying to trade cards.
Rowan smiled and replied, "I have two of that card in my deck and a couple more in my personal stash of cards. I'll give two copies for your Colonel on C-String and Reinforcement of the Army's Troops Spell you have."
Jordan nodded and replied, "Sounds good to me. I have doubles of that Spell anyway and that Warrior doesn't do much for me and the deck. You have a deal."
She grabbed the two cards and handed them to her and then he took the two cards from his stash and he also grabbed 5 other cards (Which were all Warriors and a Spell) to go with them and he replied, "I don't need these cards right now and you'll better use for then I'll ever will."
He handed her the cards and she looked at hem and she smiled and replied, "I haven't seen these cards in years. They'll all work with how I use my deck."
He smiled as she got up and replied, "I have to go meet up with my girlfriend now and I'll chat with you later, buddy."
He smiled as she got up and left and he saw the two cards she traded her and he nodded and replied, "Time to shoe everyone how much stronger my deck can be."

Lich Yard main meeting hall / 10:30pm
Inside of a dark building in the Lich Yard, a armored knight wielding a sharp scythe was chatting with two people. One was a arrmored warrior and the other was a young man wearing a green-hooded robe and holding onto a book.
The Knight then replied, "Black Knight just informed that King Knight was defeated and they're coming for us right now. Dark Acolyte and Reize, I need you both to be ready for those kids when they come for us. We can't afford to fail the Enchantress or we'll regret it."
Reize sighed and replied, "My deck isn't ready to go yet, sir."
Dark Acolyte then replied, "I'll duel, sir. My deck is ready to go and a very powerful one at that as well."
The knight nodded and replied, "I honestly believe in your dueling skills, my young friend. I wish you the best and if you need any cards, go to our card safe and get anything you need for it, but only get cards that works with your deck."
"I will do anything and what you say to help out, sir."
Dark Acolyte nodded as he walked out and Reize then replied, "You think he'll do good in his duels, Specter Knight?"
"I think he will, son. If his deck is as good as he say it is, he'll have no trouble at all."

Early that next morning, Jordan and Emmie were watching the sunrise together from the same hill she was watching from before.
Jordan then replied, "You come here almost every morning to watch the sun rise, babe?"
"I really do, Jordan. It's one of those things I used to do all the time on mornings that slept like a rock. This is our first time, we get a chance to do this as a couple. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time now, hon."
Jordan looked at her and replied, "I'm glad i'm here with you, hon. You've made my life so much better since we both began to date and I've loved every minute of it as well. I love you more then anything right now."
"I love you, boo. Never forget that."
They smiled as they held hands and watched as the sun began to rise up in the distance.

About a hour after breakfast the gang arrived outside of a large dark graveyard-like field and the main entrance was locked up.
Jordan then replied, "What was this place before the Quarter of New Order reappeared, Riley?"
He sighed and replied, "This is our graveyard for the deceased of Pridmoor Island. It was a beautiful garden called the Pridmoor Memorial Garden and Cemetery. After they took it over, they turned it and called it a dark area known as the Lich Yard, a very spooky area of the island."
Emmie then replied, "That's horrible. A beautiful place of remembering a lost one turned into a dark evil battleground for the Quarter of New Order. That is not right at all."
"I agree with that one, Emmie. I have a friend named Preston Garvmen buried here. He was only 28 when he passed due to brain cancer he had since he was 25. I miss him a lot right now and I'm glad he was put to rest before the Order took over our island."
Manda looked at him and replied, "So sorry for your loss, Riley. He must of been a great guy."
"He really was. A lot of the cards in my own deck were his at one time and his family wanted me to have the cards he had before he passed on. I still do miss him to this day."
They nodded as the large wooden door opened up and the Dark Acolyte walked out with a duel disk on his arm and he nodded and replied, "Morning. I'm Dark Acolyte, a follower of Specter Knight and a great duelist. Who I'm I dueling?"
Manda raised her and he nodded and replied, "The Forest Beast duelist, eh? This will be a fun duel because I saw your duel with that Bandit Keith guy and you wiped his deck out and your deck has some decent cards in it."
She nodded and Emmie quickly tapped her on the shoulder and replied, "Good luck with your dueling, cous."
She smiled and she walked towards him and they both activated their duel disks and both drew 5 cards.
"Game on!", both yelled out.

Back inside of the Lich Yard, Specter Knight and Reize were about to watch the duel.
Reize then replied, "Sir, you have any idea what kind of deck he uses?"
"He never actually told me about at all, son. I don't even know what deck he's going to use against her. Whatever the deck will be, I really hope it's strong enough to wipe her deck out. Her beast deck is really strong and powerful."
"I hope so too, sir. I really do hope so and if he does lose, they'll be going after you and your deck next."
"I already know that one, Reize. My deck is so much better then that Blowhard King Knight's deck. I'll have no trouble wiping out any of those girls in a duel."

Back at the duel, the first turn was about to begin.
Dark Acolyte then replied, "You can have the first turn if you want to, miss."
"I think I will. I'll set a monster and that'll end my turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I'll summon my Samurai Skull."
As he sat the card down, a skeletal-ike samurai with rusted armor and a sword appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"When this card is Normal Summoned, I Can send any zombie monster from my deck to the graveyard."
He did so and then resumed, "I attack now."
It went in and a Dark Desertapir appeared on the card (DEF; 300) and it slashed it and it let out a small squealing noise before it shattered to pieces.
"Your turn now."
Manda drew a card and then she opened her field slot and replied, "I activate my Forest Field Spell!"
As she slid the card into the slot and it closed up, the beautiful deep forest appeared around her.
"I now summon my Phantom Strider!"
As she sat the card down, a white specteral unicorn with a pale-white coat and silver colored eyes appeared with a spooky-sounding neigh (ATK: 1,800 - 2,000).
"Destroy his Samurai."
The beast charged in and rammed its horn into the zombie, blasting it into a cloud of dust (Dark Acolyte LP: 7700).
"Your turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "You are a very strong duelist, lady. I'll set a new monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I summon my Forest Wolf."
As she sat the card down, a beautiful green-furred wolf appeared with a howl (ATK: 1,600 -1,800).
"Thanks to my field Spell, I can do piercing damage with it! Destroy the facedown monster!"
The mighty wolf rushed in and a Pyramid Turtle appeared on the card (DEF: 1,400) and it slashed at it before it crumbled into dust & sand (Dark Acolyte LP: 7300) and then a 2nd one appeared (DEF: 1,400) and the unicorn charged in and stabbed at it and it burst into sand as well and then he replied, "I Special Summon my Vendread Wasps."
As he sat the card down, a trio of 3 black-striped wasps appeared (ATK: 500) and Emmie then replied, "If this is a Vendread Ritual Deck, this might be trouble for her. Vendread decks are really powerful if used right."
"I won't stop until I win. I end my turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "Time for the first one. I activate my Vendread Hidden Lab."
The Spell card appeared.
"I Now activate the Ritual Spell Card Revendread Origins."
The spell appeared.
"I'll tribute my Wasps and then banish a Pyramid Turtle to Special Summon my Vendread Chimera."
As the the turtle and trio of wasps vanished, a strange and horrid-looking zombie appeared. it looked a large zombie that had various body parts such as tentacles, insect-like limbs, mouths, eyes, claws and they were even entire faces on parts of the body (ATK: 2,300) and Jordan then replied, "Man, what a eyesore."
"Time to use a effect. Since my Wasps were used to Ritual Summon a Vendread Ritual monster and when it attacks once per turn, it destroys any Spell or Trap Card you have and thanks to my lab, it gains 100 attack times its level."
It began to glow (ATK: 2,300 - 2,800).
"Lets do it. Destroy her Wolf."
The tentacles of the strange creature shot out and snagged the wolf and it dragged it towards the body and unlike most ways of destroying the monster, it literally absorbed the mighty beast (Manda LP: 7000) and then her field area dissolved into dust
"There you go. I end my turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I'll switch my Strider to defense and then a new monster facedown and a monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
The Ritual monster stopped glowing (ATK: 2,800 - 2,300) and he drew a card and replied, "I summon my Guard Ghost."
As he sat the card down, some sort of zombified guard with a wooden bat for a weapon appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Time to fight. Chimera, attack her facedown monster."
The zombie shot its tentacle out and she quickly replied, "I activate my facedown Staunch Defender to switch your monster to that monster.'
It shot out its tentacle and slammed it down, blowing Phantom Strider into small black fragments and Manda smiled and replied, "When my Phantom Strider is destroyed in battle, I can equip it to the monster that destroyed it."
Suddenly, the spectral unicorn appeared and flew into the horrid zombie (ATK: 2,300 -1,300).
"Smart move. Guard, attack."
It went in and a Silvar Fang appeared on the card (DEF: 800) and struck it with its bat, blowing it into small white fragments.
"I see. I end my turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I summon my Sunlight Unicorn!"
As he sat the card down, the blue-main unicorn appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Let's check the top card of my deck."
She did so and it was a Synchro Boost Spell Card and she smiled and equipped it to her monster (ATK: 1,800 - 2,300) - (LV: 4 - 5) and then he replied, "I activate my Poison Fangs!"
The spell appeared.
"Lets do it. Attack!"
The the mighty unicorn and jammed its horn into the horrid creature and it let out a loud moaning noise before it exploded into a shower of black & green slime (Dark Acolyte LP: 6700) and then the Spell glowed (Dark Acolyte LP: 6200) and he nodded and replied, "When a Vendread Ritual monster is destroyed while I control my Lab, I draw a card."
He drew a card.
"Your zombie army won't stop me from beating you! I end my turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I'll discard a card to activate my Twin Twisters."
As he took a card and disicarded it, two wind storms happened and the Poison Fangs and Synchro Boost cards were blown to shards (ATK: 2,300 - 1,800) - (LV: 5 - 4).
"i'll switch my Guard to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I summon my Desmanian Devil."
As he sat the card down, the small black-furred beast appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"Lets do it. Devil, attack."
The small beast went in and kicked the Guard, blowing it into small white shards and she smiled and replied, "When my Devil destroys a monster in battle, I can add any Level 4 or lower Beast monster from my deck to my hand."
She quickly added a new card and then resumed, "Unicorn, attack!"
It charged in and some sort of windy fairy appeared on the card (DEF: 1,400) and the steed struck it and it dissolved into a cloud of freezing mist and Dark Acolyte then replied, "When my Prediction Princess Arrowsylph is flipped up, I Can add any Ritual Spell Card from my hand or deck to my hand."
He took the card from his graveyard and added it to his hand.
"Sounds good. I end my turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I activate Spellbook from inside of the Pot."
Both drew 3 cards and then he resumed, "I use my Ritual Spell Card."
the spell appeared.
"I'll send my Revendread Striges and I'll banish my Ghost Guard and I'll summon my Revendread Slayer."
AS a trio of zombified crows appeared and the zombie guard both vanished into white smoke, a taller and more evil-looking zombie appeared (ATK: 2,400) and then the Lab card glowed (ATK: 2,400 - 3,000).
"Lets do it. Destroy her Devil."
The zombie ritual went in and punched into the small beast, blasting it to pieces (Manda LP: 5700) and he nodded and replied, "When a monster that was Ritual Summoned with a Vendread Striges, I can draw a card and then I have to discard a card."
He drew a card and discarded the same card and he resumed, "Your turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I'll switch my Unicorn to defense and I'll use her effect."
They flipped the top card and it was a Hyena and she placed at the bottom of her deck and replied, "Darn it. I end my turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I summon my Master Kyonshee."
As he sat the card down, the undead martial artist appeared (ATK: 1,750).
"Lets do it. Slayer, attack."
The zombie went in and punched the unicorn, blasting it into small glowing fragments
"Kyonshee, attack."
It went in and a large white rat appeared on the card (DEF: 300) and he kicked, blasting it to little triangles and Manda then replied, "When my White Rat is destroyed, I can add any Beast monster with 1,000 or less attack from my deck to my hand."
She quickly did so.
"Your turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I summon my Rescue Cat."
As he sat the card down, the small adorable kitten with a small helmet and whistle appeared (ATK: 300).
"I now tribute my small friend to Special Summon my Blue Fox and my Gyaku-Gire Panda."
As the cute little cat burrowed into the ground, a small blue-furred fox and a tall angry koala appeared (ATK: 800 x2).
"I tune my monsters together."
The small fox glowed as it split into 2 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Gyaku-Gire Panda, which turned into 3 white stars (*2 + *3 = *5).
"Galloping in skies like thunder, crisscrossing them like a mighty gale, appear forth from the World of Myth and Legend! Synchro Summon! Neigh, Thunder Unicorn!"
The beautiful Unicorn Synchro appeared (ATK: 2,200).
"Since I used my Blue Fox to Synchro Summon a Beast monster, I get two baby fox tokens."
Suddenly, two small baby foxes appeared (DEF: 400 x2).
"Now, I Weaken your monster."
It glowed (ATK: 2,400 - 900).
"Destroy that horrid thing!"
The zombie went in and stabbed into the zombie and instead of shattering it flew back onto its back (Dark Acolyte LP: 4900) and he replied, "If I banish my Origins card Ritual card, I can prevent my Slayer from being destroyed."
"Crap. I end my turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "Slayer, attack."
It flew in and punched at the Synchro and he groaned and exploded into shards of light (Manda LP: 5400).
"Kyonshee, your turn."
The beast went and kicked the token, shattering it.
"Your turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I activate my Monster Reborn!"
Thunder Unicorn reappeared (ATK: 2,200).
"Since I have two monsters, your RItual loses 1,00 attack."
It began to glow (ATK: 2,400 - 1,400).
"Destroy it."
The steed went and stabbed at the huge Zombie and it groaned before it exploded into black shards (Dark Acolyte LP: 4100).
"Your turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and witch my Kyonshee to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I summon my Beast Striker."
As she sat the card down, beast with a large hammer for a weapon appeared (ATK: 1,850).
"Lets do it. Thunder Unicorn, attack!"
The mighty steed went in and stabbed with his horn, blowing the zombie in a cloud of dust.
"Striker, attack!"
It went in and a Morphing Jar appeared on the card (DEF: 600) and it slammed its hammer, crushing the jar into powder and pebbles and both discarded their current hands and both drew 5 cards.
"Your turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I activate my 2nd Vendread Origins."
The Ritual Spell Card appeared.
"I'll tribute a Vendread Licker from my hand and I'll banish a Kyonshee from my graveyard to Ritual Summon my Revendread Battlelord "
As a zombie with a large tongue and the zombified martial artist appeared and both vanished into white smoke, a large skeletal creature with a huge bladed sword for a weapon appeared (ATK: 2,700 - 3,400).
"Meet the mighty Vendread Battlelord."
Emmie then replied, "My, what a giant eyesore that thing is."
"Time to fight. Attack his Unicorn."
He swung his weapon and a blade of dark energy shot out and struck the unicorn and it let out a neigh before it exploded into shards of light (Manda LP: 3000).
"When a monster effected by Vendread Licker does battle damage with a monster, it's doubled! Your move now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I'll switch Striker to defense and I'll set a new monster and that'll do it for now."
The boost went down (ATK: 3,400 - 2,700) as Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I summon my Gozuki."
As he sat the card down, the bull-headed zombie appeared (ATK: 1,700) and he discarded a card with his effect and resumed, "Gozuki, attack."
The zombie went in and struck with his hammer, blowing the beast to pixels.
Battllelord, attack."
It went in and a Silver Fang appeared on the card (DEF: 800) and was smashed to bits when it struck with its huge body.
"Your move now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I'll banish a Spell Card to summon my Monoceros."
As she took a Mage Power Spell Card and banished it, the horse with a long horn appeared (ATK: 1,000).
"I now summon my White Fox."
As he sat the card down, a small white-furred fox appeared (ATK: 800).
"I tune them both together."
The small white fox glowed as it split into 3 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Monoceros, which turned into a total of 3 white stars (*3 + *3 = *6).
"A mighty beast from the underworld comes forth and burns away its enemies with its hellfire it fires from each of its heads! This creature will burn anything in its way! Synchro Summon! Appear from the underworld, Celestial Wolf Lord, Blue Sirius!"
As she sat the card down, a dark wolf-like creature with three large heads appeared with a roar from each head (ATK: 2,400) and Emmie nodded and replied, "Quite a Synchro she has there. She has great taste in cards."
"Thanks, cous. Since I used White Fox to summon a Beast or Beast Warrior Synchro, one of your Spell or Traps is destroyed!"
Suddenly, the hidden lab card exploded into shards and then the small white Fox reappeared (DEF: 800)
"Monocero's ability. Now, Destroy his Gozuki!"
The Synchro let out a huge burst of black flames and they shot out and struck, blowing the Gozuki into fiery cinders and its charred hammer flew backwards and shattered against the ground (Dark Acolyte LP: 3400).
"Your move now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster of my own and I'll attack your monster."
It swung his sword and a blade of dark energy shot out and struck, cutting the Wolf Lord in twain from head to toe. The two halves separated and then exploded into black fiery embers & puffs of black smoke (Manda LP: 2400) and she smiled and replied, "Sucker! When my Wolf Lord is destroyed in the field, one of your monsters gets really weak!"
The Ritual monster began to glow white (ATK: 2,700 - 300).
"I see. I end my turn now."
Manda drew a card and replied, "I play Monster Reborn!"
Thunder Unicorn reappeared.
"Destroy his monster!"
The mighty steed rushed and stabbed at it with its horn and then cracks formed all over the huge zombie. The girls and Riley cheered as the huge zombie exploded into black shards and a shower of black ash (Dark Acolyte LP: 1500).
"There you go. I End my turn now."
Dark Acolyte drew a card and replied, "I summon my Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands."
As he sat the card down, the strange Fairy with many arms appeared (ATK: 1,400) and he resumed, "I'll get a Ritual monster from my deck."
He quickly did so and then resumed, "I now activate my final copy of Revendread Origins."
The spell appeared.
"I'll tribute my Manju and I'll banish my Chimera from earlier as well."
As the horrid zombie appeared and both it and Manju vanished into clouds of black smoke, a more horrid and mutated form of Vendread Slayer appeared (ATK: 3,000).
"Meet the mighty and awesome Revendread Executor."
Jordan saw the monster and replied, "Damn, what a eyesore that thing is."
"Since I used Chimera in a Ritual Summon as well, your monster loses 500 attack."
The Unicorn let out a weak cry (ATK: 2,200 - 1,700)
"Due to his effect, it's name becomes Slayer as well. Destroy her Unicorn."
The eyes of the horrid creature glowed as two beams of pure light shot out and blasted the Unicorn into small shards of light (Manda LP: 1100).
"Your move now."
Manda drew a card and she smiled and replied, "Time to show you my best card. I drop 1,000 lifepoints to activate Ready Fusion to summon my Flower Wolf."
As she glowed (Manda LP: 100), a wolf covered in flowers appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Now, I summon my adorable and fluffy Bunilla."
As she sat the card down, a large white and fluffy rabbit appeared (ATK: 150).
"I now tune my monsters together!"
The fox glowed as it split into 2 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Bunilla and Flower Wolf, which turned into a total of 6 stars (*3 + *1 + *5 = *9).
"The mighty Queen of all cats appears with her sharp claws and mighty power! She'll shred anything in her path with her claws! Synchro Summon! Appear before me now, Bast the Cat Queen!"
As she sat the card down, a beautiful monster appeared. It was a beautiful woman wearing a Egyptian style dress with a lot of gold jewelry. She had a head of a black cat and her hands had long claw-like fingernails (ATK: 3,200) and Emmie saw the monster and replied, "No way. what a beautiful monster."
Jordan then replied, "I've heard of this monster. They're only 6 copies of her card in the world right now."
"Time to wipe you out. I activate my Soul Release to banish your final Origin card."
The spell appeared and his card shattered into shards.
"I now activate my Wild Nature's Release!"
Her claws began to glow even more (ATK: 3,100 - 6,000) and Dark Acolyte sighed and replied, "You may of beat me, but Specter Knight's deck is so much better then mine will ever be."
"We're coming for him next! Destroy his monster, Bast!"
She quickly rushed in and slashed with her clawed nails at the center of the horrid zombie. It let a deep moan before it all exploded into a shower of black globules (Dark Acolyte LP: 0) and Emmie smiled and replied, "I knew she could do it."

You can only use the effect of "Blue Fox" once per turn. You cannot Special Summon from your Extra Deck if you control a "Baby Fox Token". "Baby Fox Token" cannot be targeted in battle if you control a Beast Synchro monster and you take no damage with battles involving those tokens.

Note: This was a effect monster created by Occam's Razor and I got permission from him to allow me to create a Synchro form of it with the same stats, but now as a Synchro and with a added effect. Most credit goes to him and some to me.

You can only use this effect of "Vendread Wasp" once per turn. A "Vendread" monster Ritual Summoned using this card on the field gains the following effect. You can only use each of the preceding effects of "Vendread Wasps" once per turn.
- After damage calculation, if this card battled an opponent's monster: Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls.

Vendread Necroliker

When Summoned: Return 1 banished "Vendread" monster to your deck and then draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Vendread Necroliker" once per turn. A "Vendread" monster Ritual Summoned using this card on the field gains the following effect.
- Any Battle Damage that Ritual Summoned monster that involves a monster is doubled.

Vendread Hidden Lab / Continuous Spell Card

You can only have 1 faceup "Vendread Hidden Lab" on the field at a time. As long as this card is faceup on the field, Negate and destroy any card's effects that would target a "Vendread" Ritual monster the turn it is Ritual Summoned or Tribute Summoned. You can only use the following effects "Vendread Hidden Lab" once per turn.
- When a "Vendread" monster that was Ritual Summoned is destroyed in battle and sent to the GY; Draw 1 card.
- When a Vendread monster is Ritual Summoned: That monster gains 100 ATK x it's level until the End Phase of your opponent's next turn.
