Matt Gabby Kelly Violet Louie and Andrea leave while the medics get to work on Christie. "Babe what's happening"Matt said. "I'm sure that they'll tell us something when they've worked out what's wrong" Gabby said. "Why don't we go and wait in the family room" Kelly said. "I need to feed Andrea"Gabby said as they all walked to the family room so the doctors and nurses can get to work.
"She's crashing" Halstead said. "What's happening" Manning ash's as Will Halstead gets out a probe and does an ultrasound over her body especially her body. "What can you see ladies"Halstead says. "Internal bleeding around her abdomen" Sarah Reese says. "What else do we know" Manning asks. "They have broken bones from the accident from the accident which the surgeons have to watch" Dina said. "Anything else" Manning asks. "What about infections Reese said. "That's right" Manning said. "We need to get her to theatre right away tell them I'll be there within 5 minutes" Halstead said. "You two go with Manning"Halstead said. "Ok" Reese and Dina say. "I won't be long" Halstead said.
As Gabby feeds Andrea in the family room Will Halstead walks in. "I can't stay for long as I'm needed in the OR" Halstead says. "What's wrong" Matt said. "All I can say is that your sister is suffering from internal bleeding we'll know more when I operate on her" Halstead said. "When will we get answers" Matt said. "As soon as she's out I'll come and let you know but it could be hours before we know anything" Halstead said.
"Doctor what's her chances" Kelly asks. "We're hopeful for both of them" Halstead said as he was leaving the room and headed straight for theatre. "Babe why don't you sort Andrea out she needs her daddy" Gabby said. "You're right Andrea does need me" Matt said as Gabby passed her to her daddy. "You ok bud" Matt said. "Yes daddy" Louie said. "I'll be fine bud as long as I've got you all here with me" Matt said. "Why don't we go to the cafe for some food we all need to keep our strength up" Kelly said. "I agree brother" Gabby said.
As they walk to the cafe for breakfast and coffee over at the Police Station, Sergeant Voight has set up the recorder ready for when him and Detective Dawson arrive to interview him. "Burgess Halstead Lindsay Olinsky Ruzek Atwater if you're ready you can go and stand in front of the glass window" Voight said. "I'll go and ask Platt to bring him up" Dawson said.
"Platt can you go and fetch the suspect from the cells please" Dawson said. "Sure"Platt said as she went down the stairs. "Are you ready to do this Detective "Voight said. "Yes Sergeant I'm ready for this" Antonio said. "Ok Detective" Voight said. "I need to do this for my family they're counting on me boss" Antonio said. "Let's do this then" Voight said.
Before Detective Dawson and Sergeant Voight walk into the room Detective Jay Halstead receives a text message from Kelly the message reads Christie's machine went off and Doctor's Halstead and Manning done an ultrasound and they found that she's suffering from internal bleeding and they noticed that they need to operate on her immediately" Will said to us. Jay writes back saying thanks for letting me know, I'll let my team know. "Antonio Christie had gong into theatre as Will done an ultrasound and found out that she was bleeding internally, just got the message from Kelly" Jay said. "Thanks" they both say.
Detective Dawson and Sergeant Voight walk into the room to question the man about the incident on the freeway. "Hello I'm Detective Dawson and this is Sergeant Voight" Antonio said. "Can you please state your name for the tape"Voight asked. "Adrian Gish". "Can you start by telling us what you were doing leading upto the incident please and don't leave anything out" Antonio said. "Well my girlfriend dumped me as she had enough of me being lazy" Gish said. "What did you do after she dumped you" Dawson said as Sergeant Voight presented evidence 101 the pic of the beer cans. "I went to the store to get some beer and then I got in my car and drove back home along the freeway trying to forget what's happened by getting drunk" Gish said as presenting him evidence 102 the results of his blood tests on the table. "Can you tell me anything about this " Antonio said. "Whoops my mistake I forgot to mention about the drugs that I took to block out the pain of being dumped" Gish said.
While Adrian Gish is being questioned Burgess Lindsay Halstead Ruzek Olinsky and Atwater notice that this guy has no remorse for his actions. "Let's continue" Voight said. "What can you say for your previous offences crimes and it says that you promised that you'd change as it's signed by yourself" Dawson said as Voight passed evidence 103 the sheet of his previous crimes and evidence 104 the pic of the road markings. "Like it says" Gish said. "You haven't got any remorse for what you've done" Dawson said. "No comment" Gish said as his face says it all.
"There's 1 piece of evidence left" Voight said as Detective Dawson opened the door to let Detective Jay Halstead walk through. "Hello Adrian Gish I'm Detective Jay Halstead". "Ok" Gish said very quietly as Halstead put evidence 105 the pics of the 4 victims on the table. " What are these" Gish asked. "These are the pics of the victims this man was in his twenties is dead and the other 3 are very critical all in a coma" Dawson said as Adrian Gish shrugged his shoulders and said "I'm sorry but he was in the wrong place at the wrong time". "You are a piece of work" Voight said as he was getting really annoyed with Gish. "The passenger of the victim who died is in his twenty's too" Dawson said. "What's up with him" Gish asked. "We can't say as we don't know anything" Voight said. "Ok" Gish said as Dawson was trying to do his job right now as well as thinking off his family back at the hospital.
"Look at these two ladies look at them a good doctor is treating these two who are family" Halstead said. "What are you on about these two being family" Gish said. "Just look at them" Voight said. "These are family" Dawson said. "What do you mean" Gish asked. "These are my sisters husbands mom and sister" Dawson said. "I'm very sorry now I get you when you say family" Gish said. "Are you" Voight said. "Yes I am"Gish said. "Jay can you stay with Gish while we go and fetch another piece of evidence" Voight said. "Yes I will" Jay said.
While Detective Dawson and Sergeant Voight are outside the interview room talking to their colleagues, over at Chicago Med 3 hours have passed and Christie is still in theatre. "Babe why don't you calm down" Gabby said as she was feeding Andrea. "Baby I'm worried and scared it's been 3 hours and nothing" Matt said as tears was rolling down his and Violets cheeks as Louie was playing. "Gabby what's wrong" Kelly asked. "I cant Kelly I promised my brother I wouldn't say anything" Gabby said.
"We don't even know how my mom is doing since we was hurried out this morning" Matt said. "I know brother why don't we go outside for some fresh air" Kelly said. "That's a good idea Kelly" Matt said. "I'll fetch you if there's any news" Gabby said. "Ok babe love ya" Matt said. "Love ya too" Gabby said as Matt kissed and hugged his family before heading outside with Kelly for some fresh air and wait for Stella to arrive.
Before Detective Dawson and Sergeant Voight go back in the room he gets a message from his sister it reads still nothing on them both Christie still in theatre. "Thanks sis" he writes back. "Boss you ought to have a look at this before you two go back in there" Olinsky said as he passed the evidence to his boss As Sergeant Voight looks at it he shows it to his partner Detective Dawson. "Are we seeing things that it's showing he's killed loads of people, firefighters and paramedics" Dawson said. "There's this which is included too" Voight said. Detective Dawson and Sergeant Voight walk back in the room. "Thanks Halstead you and Olinsky can go back out and wait with the others" Voight said. "Thanks boss" Halstead said.
"We've got 1 more thing that we need you to clarify for us please" Dawson asked as Voight passed evidently number 106 to him. "Well what can you tell us about this Gish we did ask you not to leave anything out didn't we" Dawson said. "Tell us please" Voight asked. "No comment" gish said. "This paramedic was family" Dawson said. "Like I've said no comment" Gish said with s face showing no remorse. "Like we said she was family" Voight says. "What's wrong" Gish said. "She was my sister's partner for 5 and 1/2 years and also her best friend" Dawson said. "We're taking you back to the cells now while we figure out what to do with you" Dawson said as Voight was taking him back down to the cells. "You can stay in here for a while" Voight said as Gish had nothing to say apart from guilt on his face.
Back at the hospital brothers Matt and Kelly are outside getting some fresh air and Kelly gets a phone call from Stella who's left the jewellers with the special gift that Matthew Casey has got for his wife Gabriela Casey. "Hello Kelly I'm on my way I'll be about 10 minute" Stella said as the Herman's and the Bodens arrive with there kids. "Hi Matt " Wallace said. "Hi boss Gabby and the kids are inside the family room" Matt said. "Thanks Matt" Christopher said as Cindy and Donna took the kids inside. "We're waiting for Stella we both needed fresh air and take time out" Kelly said as the Ben followed there wives in. As they approached the family room Cindy noticed that Gabby was on the phone.
"Hi sis we've made a breakthrough with the case" Antonio said. "That's good news bruv when will you be back here" Gabby asks. "Just got to make sure everything is tied up before we all head up there sis" Antonio said. "See you soon bruv" gabby said.
"When we all get there Jay you and Erin stay with Antonio in the family room with Gabby and the kids" Voight said. "Ok boss" Jay said. "Ruzek and myself will go in the room to have a look at Nancy and Christie if she's out of theatre" Burgess said. "That's a good idea" Voight said.
"We could help by talking to the doctors" Olinsky said. "Have we finished everything for now boss" Antonio said. "Can I go back to my sister please" Antonio asked. "Of course you can" Voight said. "Thanks boss" Antonio said. "We're all going" Voight said.
As they were all leaving the Police Station and making their way down to the hospital. "Guys please can you all stick together" Voight said. "Yes boss" Burgess and Ruzek said. "Let's go" Atwater said. "See you all there I've just got to talk to Trudy Platt first" Voight said. "Ok boss" Olinsky said as this point Erin and Jay had already left for the hospital. "Trudy we're all off to the hospital if there's anything comes in or you need us" Voight said. "Ok boss give my love to Matt and Gabby" Platt said. "Will do Platt" Voight said.
Meanwhile back at the hospital while Gabby feeds her daughter in the family room as Matt and Kelly are outside waiting for Stella to arrive. Antonio Jay and Erin arrive at the hospital first. "Hey boys" Jay said. "Hi guys we'll be inside once Stella has arrived " Kelly said. "Gabby and the kids are in the family room where Cindy Donna Christopher and Wallace are with them" Matt said. "Thanks boys we'll see you soon" Erin said.
As Antonio Jay and Erin head inside to the family room Stella arrives at the hospital. "Hi Matt how are you coping" Stella asks. "I'm taking it hour by hour trying to be strong and keep it together for my family" Matt said. "I'm here for you Matt we all are" Stella said. "Thanks Stella" Matt said. "You're welcome" Stella said. "Love do you have the special gift" Kelly said. "Oh yes here it is" Stella said. "Thanks" Kelly said. "The jeweller gave me these for you to write on to go with the gift" Stella said as she passed it to Matt to take a look before handing it over to his wife. "What shall I write on the card to go with the gift" Matt said as he opened it to have a look"Omg I love it it's exactly what and how I imagined it to be" Matt said.
"The words are perfect Gabby will love it" Matt said. "She will Matt as she'll always have her family with her" Kelly said. "I'll write it out when Gabby's out of the family room" Matt said. "We better go in boys" Stella said. They walk into the family room"and Stella talks to Antonio. "Antonio can you do us a favour when Gabby is out the room Matt want to talk to you" Stella said. "No problem Stella I won't make it obvious" Antonio said.
Cindy and Donna walk out the family room and walked towards the room where Nancy is being treated and on their way they bump into Doctor Rhodes. "Doctor is their any news on Christie yet" Cindy asks. "Nothing yet" Doctor Rhodes said. "How's Nancy doing" Donna asked. "Nancy is stable nothing has changed" Rhodes said. "When can we go in and see her" Cindy said. "Not sure when you'll be able to go in there to see Nancy, Matt has to be patient" Maggie says. "Ok" Donna says.
"Maggie is their any updated from Doctor Halstead in theatre" Rhodes asks. "Haven't heard anything yet" Maggie says. "We need to go and find out" Sexton said. "That's a good idea" Rhodes said. "I'll go and find out" Maggie said as she goes down to theatre 1 and looks through the door windows and notices that Doctor Halstead is still operating on Christie Casey. "Will is still operating on Christie, April and Conner" Maggie said. "At least we know" Rhodes said. "Yes" Sexton said. "Girls please don't say anything as we need to get the full extent of it" Maggie says. "Ok" Cindy and Donna both say. "I know that she's been in for over 3 hours" Maggie says. "Thanks Maggie" Cindy said.
The girls walk back to the family room after hearing about Christie who's still in theatre and they find that Jay and Erin are comforting Antonio Gabby Matt Andrea Violet and Louie in the family room who are also with family Kelly Stella Christopher Wallace and the kids.
While the Intelligence Team are making their way down to the hospital, Burgess gets a message from Antonio. "Can you pick up Sylvie Diego and Eva up please for me" Antonio said. "Sure partner we do anything for family" Burgess said. "See you soon" Antonio said. "Ruzek we need to pick up Sylvie and the kids up Antonio wants them with him" Burgess said. "That's ok I understand" Ruzek said.
"Kids our lift is here" Sylvie said. "Where are we going" the teenagers said. "Our family needs us at the hospital" Sylvie said. "Uncle Matt and Aunty Gabby needs us and so does our dad" Eva said. "Yea that's true" Sylvie said. "I'm ready let's go" Diego said as they all get in the car with Burgess and Ruzek. "Hi guys thanks for picking us up" Sylvie said. "You're welcome" Ruzek said. "Your dad is waiting for us" Burgess said. "We better go then" the teenagers say.
They all leave for the hospital and the rest of the Intelligence Team arrive at the hospital to lend their support. "Thanks for the lift" Sylvie said as she and the teenagers went inside. "Hey guys shall we all go inside" Olinsky said. "Yes boss said he'll meet us inside when he gets here later" Atwater said. Voight turns up within 10 minutes of Ruzek and Burgess arriving with Sylvie and the teenagers, the whole team walks in the hospital and they immediately want to talk to Maggie.
"Hello Maggie can we ask you a few questions about the casualties" Olinsky asks. "Yes of course" Maggie said. "Can we go somewhere quiet please" Atwater said. "Sure this way" Maggie said as they went to the office. "Guys if anyone needs me I'll be in my office" Maggie said. "Ok" they all say. "Why don't you take a seat" Maggie says. "Thanks" Atwater said. "Is there any updates on any of the victims" Olinsky asks. "Nothing on any of them yet just that there still in a coma" Maggie said. "Thanks Maggie could you please keep us informed" Olinsky said. "Sure" Maggie said.
It's now 3pm and Christie who's been in theatre for 6 hours is finally out of surgery and Doctor Halstead and Doctor Manning takes Christie back to the double room to recover before they head to the family room to let the family know. "Where's Maggie" Halstead asks. "She's in her office I'll go and let her know" Sexton says. "Thanks April" Manning says as both doctors have finally sorted out Christie.
Doctor Halstead and Doctor Manning are on their way to the family room to talk to the Casey's ad Manning opens the door they walk in and. "Hi guys we finally have news about Christie..." Doctor Halstead said as Doctor Manning closes the door behind them.
