Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were currently in Muriel and Eustace's room helping Muriel with the worst back pain she had ever experienced.

Muriel groaned in pain.

"Don't worry Muriel, you'll feel better soon," Courage said, trying to reassure himself. He had never seen Muriel in this much pain before.

"Like, whatever you need will get it for you," Shaggy murmured, as he helped her take some pain medication.

"Thank you boys," Muriel grunted, with a smile.

"MURIEL!" Eustace demanded, as he entered the room wearing a bib and holding a plate. "Get yourself out of bed and feed me!"

Shaggy felt fury rolled through him. Really Uncle Eustace?

"I'm sorry, Eustace. I can't move," Muriel explained before letting out another painful moan, "My back's killing me!"

Courage let out a pitiful whine, feeling super sorry for his owner.

"Oh, that's too bad," Eustace said.

"You're sweet," Muriel said, through a pained smile.

"Always bittersweet," Courage muttered, to Scooby.

"Rait for it," Scooby told Courage, knowing where this is going.

"Nope. It's too bad 'cause I'm hungry," Eustace whined, "We gotta get you fixed up."

Courage met Scooby's gaze, "Yep he's bittersweet alright. But he's got a point. We need to get Muriel to a doctor."

"Don't worry Aunt Muriel," Shaggy reassured his aunt, "We'll get you fixed."

In the doctor's office, Dr. Vindaloo decided to do some tests on Muriel's back.

"Okay," Dr. Vindaloo said, walking to stand next to Muriel. "Oh, does it hurt when I do this?" He hit Muriel's back with a massive mallet. Making her groan in agony.

Dread and worry wiggle through the cowardly trio's stomaches as they heard Muriel yelled in pain.

"Does it hurt when I do this?" Dr. Vindaloo asked, as he wound up a toy duck and placed it on her back where it walked.

"OW! OW! OW!" Muriel groaned in pain.

"Oof!" Courage grunted, when the toy duck landed on his head.

Does it hurt when I do this?" Dr. Vindaloo asked, as he placed a lamp on Muriel's back before clapping his hands. The lamp turned on and then turned off when Dr. Vindaloo clapped his hands again.

"Wow," Eustace said, impressed.

Muriel moaned, with agony, even from a simple lamp.

Shaggy pushed back a surged of dread, he had never seen Muriel in this much pain before, "Like, is there anything you can do Dr Vindaloo?"

"Hmm. I am afraid I cannot do anything for this kind of pain," Dr. Vindaloo said, "Nothing at all."

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage felt pants of anxiety, just how bad Muriel's back is?

"Doctor, you gotta do somethin'. I'm in awful pain," Muriel moaned.

"And it's almost lunchtime!" Eustace complained.

"Stop worrying about lunch!" Courage snapped.

Eustace rounded on him, with his face twisted in anger, "Stay out of this dog," he snarled.

"Oh, dear! I see you are all very upset," Dr. Vindaloo said.

"Of course we're upset! My aunt is in so much pain!" Shaggy wailed.

"Rour a doctor. Rhat should we do?" Scooby pronounced.

Dr. Vindaloo reached into his pocket and pulling out a map, "Well, I have heard there exists at the top of Mount Nowhere, a hot spring with healing waters."

"Yay!" Courage cheered, his legs felt wobbly with relief. He then pushed the gurney Muriel was on out of the room, with Shaggy and Scooby close behind.

"Looks like were going to a Hot Spring on a Mountain Scooby-Doo," Shaggy told his dog.

"Roh boy!" Scooby shouted, his paws tingle with excitement.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were slowly making their way to the top of Mount Nowhere. Luckily, after leaving Dr. Vindaloo's office, they found a plane that would take them to their destination. Unfortunately, they still had to climb to the top, but thankfully they found a carriage for Muriel to rest in, so she didn't have to walk. But Eustace being Eustace, got in and ordered the trio to pull the carriage.

"Hey, stupid dogs and stupid nephew! Are we there yet?" Eustace yelled, as he sat comfortably in the carriage.

"Not. Yet," Courage grunted, with an answer.

Shaggy was reading on the map Dr. Vindaloo gave them, "According to the map we're only fifty steps to the hot spring."

One hour later…

The three were still pulling the wagon, with Shaggy still reading the map.

"I'm like, sure we're almost there," Shaggy reassured.

Two hours later…

"We're like almost there," Shaggy grunted.

Three hours later…

"Rare we almost there?" Scooby asked, carrying the time card, "RI'm all out of time cards."

"Yep Scoob, we're there," Shaggy pointed towards the top.

Courage gently lifted up Muriel, as the family began to climb, however, as soon as they reached the top, the three best friends noticed a mean-looking ram glaring at them.

"Roat!" Scooby yelled.

"Go back!" the ram bleated.

"You, goat! We're lookin' for a hot spring!" Eustace demanded.

"This place is sacred! Go back!" the goat warned.

Muriel let out some pained groans, making Courage turning his gaze towards his owner, he was nearly overwhelmed by a mixture of fear and panic.

Shaggy winced, at his aunt's condition and craned his neck to his uncle and wailed, "Uncle Eustace, do something."

"No dumb, stinking mountain goat with stupid oversized antlers tells me what to do!" Eustace spat, infuriating the goat.

"You humans make me sick! Get lost!" the ram snarled, before charging at Eustace and hitting him with his horns.

Eustace screamed, as the impact sent him flying into the air.

"Please, Mister Goat. Just let us get through to those healin' waters. I'm in such pain," Muriel begged, as Courage put his owner down.

"You don't understand Goat Dude. My aunt is in so much pain," Shaggy said, briskly.

"Reah, pain!" Scooby added, in a steady voice.

"Let's us see the hot spring Mister Goat. Please!" Courage pleaded, quickly.

"So, you want to see the hot spring?" the goat asked.

"Uh-huh! Uh-huh!" Courage nodded, briskly.

"More than anything man," Shaggy said, praying this goat will listen.

"I'll show you the hot spring!" the goat said, before scraping his hoof against the floor, and ram Muriel with her horns sending her into the air.

Muriel screamed, as she was sent far away from the cowardly trio.

"Muriel!/Aunt Muriel!/Ruriel!" panic formed a hard lump in Shaggy, Scooby and Courage's stomachs.

"Why did you do that to my aunt?" Shaggy growled, turning face to face with the goat.

"Ow!" the goat yelled in pain, before he echoed, "Your aunt wanted to see the hot spring so I knocked her into the Hot Spring. Don't worry you'll get to see the spring, too, boy and pooches,"

The ram then, aim for Shaggy, Scooby and Courage, they screamed as we flew into the air away the goat. And landed in an empty depression, with a grunt and pain moans.

"Like, that is one tough goat," Shaggy grunted.

"Rowie," Scooby whimpered, as spasm of pain was in his stomach from landing so hard.

"I hope Muriel is alright," Courage's voice was taunt with worry, as alarm flared through him, "Or my name is Billy Goat Gruff and it's not."

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage picked up their ears, as they all heard Muriel's groans of pain. They turned to her and saw her on the ground, laying on her stomach fidgeting with pain.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage immediately ran up to her.

"Muriel, are you alright?" Courage asked, as he begin to rub Muriel's back attempt to take her mind off the pain.

"Feel better now?" the goat shouted, getting everyone's attention before Muriel could answer, "There's your hot spring."

Muriel gasped, as she let out another low moan, "But where's the water?"

"Oh. This place was once filled with water!" the goat said, before sliding a book into the depression. But after he did, he groaned in pain when his neck let out an unhealthy crack.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage shifted uncomfortably, the goat's neck sounded like it was broken beyond repair.

"Oof!" Courage grunted, as the book hit his head.

"It was goat paradise. We called it Spa of Horns," the goat began, as the trio flipped through the pages. Each one showed a picture of goats receiving various spa treatments or having a fun time. "Once, goats came here from miles around to relax, get their beards and horns trimmed, and bathe in the rejuvenating waters."

The goat answered as the pictures in the book changed to show people dirtying up the waters with their trash and capturing or kicking the goats off the mountain. "But then a human explorer discovered us, and it wasn't long until others of your species arrived, using up all the precious healing water, and throwing my brothers and sisters off the mountain... Until only I was left. So, I started knocking trespassers away with my horns, which grew and grew."

Shaggy froze, he realized what that explorer is. Horst Bagge! Could it be possible that his great uncle was the one who discover this place? He was staring into the mountains as if he could see the answer there. "Wait a minute. Was the explorer's name Horst?"

The goat looked at the cowardly teen in surprise, "Why yes. Wait how do you know the name of that explorer?"

"He's my great uncle," Shaggy said.

"And my owner's older brother," Courage put in.

"Rut he's dead now," Scooby added.

"Oh, Mr. Goat, I feel so sorry for you," Muriel said, as Shaggy helped her to her feet.

"Me too man. Just because my great uncle caused all of this doesn't mean that we're anything like him," Shaggy retorted.

"Shaggy is right, We'd try to help you get rid of that neck ache if I wasn't in so much pain myself," Muriel agreed.

"You think you're in pain?" the goat sneered, before leaving. A bolt of panic shot through Shaggy, Scooby and Courage, as both Scooby and Courage prickled their ears.

I don't like where this is going. Courage thought, with a dread forming in his stomach.

And the pink beagle's fears were justified, as the goat returned a moment later with a boulder, "I don't think you know what the word means," he snarled, before moving back a few steps.

Before either Shaggy, Scooby or Courage could do anything, the boulder was knocked by the goat and landed on Muriel's head' almost flattened her.

"Muriel!/Aunt Muriel!/Ruriel!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage yelled, shock in unison.

"Ow!" the goat yelled in agony, touching the back of his neck, "So now you will know the years of pain I have endured."

"Please, Mr. Goat. We'll leave right now," Muriel groaned, feeling pressure from the boulder.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage immediately ran to Muriel's aid, desperately trying to move the boulder off of her head. The weight of the boulder shock them.

"Rut Ruriel. Rhat about what Dr. Rindaloo said?" Scooby darted back to Muriel's head and started into her eyes, they were bright with pain.

"I may be in pain. But this is making the pain ever worse," Muriel gasped.

"Ow!" the trio heard the goat moaned, but they hardly notice, they're to busy worrying about Muriel.

A crack of rocks rang through the air, as a giant circle shadow cast over the cowardly trio. Hearts lurching, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage looked up, a another giant boulder hurled at them. The three give out screams and before they could move a muscle the boulder pushed down onto their heads. At once agony seared into their heads and seemed to reach their bodies to the tips of each hair.

They wanted to sleep, but pain forced them awake.

"From now on, my pain will be your pain," the goat, declared before laughing and leaving.

"Pain?" Courage shuddered, as he breathed, "I've been in so much pain before. But the goat is the one that doesn't understand our pain."

"Your not the only one little pink dude," Shaggy replied, his words ending with a low wail as another wave of pain surged over him.

"Ry head really hurts," Scooby murmured, he felt as though a fiery red hot hammer was smashing into his brain.

"Oh, boys, what are we going to do?" Muriel's words ended in a groan.

Sharp pain shot through the trio's heads and necks, as the boulder was crushing them to the ground further.

The pain filled Courage's body, he had never felt anything so bad. "Well, we gotta get rid of these boulders first."

"Like, how are we gonna do that?" Shaggy managed to gasp.

"Leave that to me," Courage stammered, trying to ignore the nagging pain in his neck. He stuck his tongue out.

He brought his tongue up and down with his head extending upward almost as if it was a makeshift jack. It seemed like it was about to work for a moment, without wasting a second, Shaggy and Scooby manage to crawl out from under the boulder, but Courage's head gave out soon after. The boulder's weight caused Courage to bite his tongue hard.

Courage let out moans of agony, he felt as though his neck was about to crack at any moment.

"Oh, soon we'll be as flat as pancakes," Muriel gasped, anxiously.

"And your skin and bones will be smashed," Shaggy's thoughts were racing, as he and Scooby tried to push the boulder with all their might.

"Skin and bones?" this spark an idea onto Courage's brain, "That's it," he then reached into his mouth, literally pulled his skeleton out of his body, and cleared out of the boulder. And because nothing was holding it up, the boulder slammed against the floor, crushing Courage's skin. He then put his skin back on as if it were clothes.

"That's one creepy idea you got their little Courage guy," Shaggy stated.

"It's either that or become a pancake," Courage said, starkly.

"Boys?" Muriel grunted, as the boulder was this close to crushing her.

"Rome on," Scooby yelled.

The three best friends hurled towards the boulder that was on Muriel, and the three grabbed the bottom of the boulder that wasn't on the ground yet.

Shaggy studied the boulder, "On the count of three we lift. One. Two."

"Three!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage finished.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage levered the boulder underneath, and finally the boulder was up and it rolled away from the family, there they saw Muriel crushed and bunched up.

"Oh, no!" Courage screamed, at the shape of his owner.

"Zoinks!" Shaggy's voice cracked.

"Row what do we do?" Scooby's terrified voice wailed.

Not answering the Great Dane's question, Courage grabbed a rolling pin from his behind, and begin to roll Muriel with it, until she was back into her original shape.

"Courage, I never knew you were this good at massage," Muriel spoke.

"I guess, I must of had it in me," Courage said, feeling warm under his fur.

"If you could only massage that goat, maybe he might..." Muriel began.

But Muriel's words were cut off when the trio looked up to see another boulder launching towards them.

"Rook out!" Scooby's terror filled his words.

Luckily this time they manage to avoid getting crushed, by moving out of the way.

"Zoinks, it's the goat!" Shaggy wailed.

"Oh! You have been bad dogs and a bad boy!" the goat growled, "Disobedience must be punished with more boulders!" he declared, before launching another boulder at us. But this caused his neck even more pain.

Shaggy, Scooby, Courage and Muriel all screamed with terror.

"Like, run for it!" Shaggy screeched.

Picking up Muriel, Courage and two of his best friends ran around the area of what used to be the hot springs to avoid a boulder crushing them. With each passing second, the goat launched more boulders at us despite the massive neck pain it brought him. Luckily, the four managed to catch a break when the goat inadvertently created a safe spot for them. The safe place is four boulders on either side of the family with three on top.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage, with their hearts racing, peeked around the boulder and did not see the goat on the ledge.

"Yay!" Courage cheered, seeing the goat was gone.

"We're safe!" Shaggy, heart started to slow down.

Scooby turned his gaze and his blood immediately turned to ice, "RI don't think he's gone!" he pointed to the goat behind them.

"Bad dogs and bad boy!" the goat snarled.

"Zoinks!" Shaggy screamed.

The goat rammed into the trio, before they could do anything. They're sent flying into the air before landed on the hard mountain ground with thuds.

Courage moaned as pain, was throbbing on his back.

"That's one tough goat," Shaggy groaned.

"Reah, tough," Scooby moaned.

Suddenly Courage notices the goat charging at him and his best friends, without a second thought, Courage pushed Shaggy and Scooby out of the way, but unfortunately he wasn't so lucky as the goat ram him into the wall.

Shaggy and Scooby watched in horror and winced at each time the goat smashed Courage into the wall, as Courage felt every agony at each hit.

Shaggy and Scooby also noticed that the goat was in more pain than he was in before as now he was in the ground with agony as the pain of the neck finally gets the better of him.

Rhe pain in his neck is getting worse. Scooby thought grimly.

Courage, came out of the hole, wrapped in bandages, using a wheelchair to get himself out of a hole in the mountain, "After this I'm gonna need a soak in the hot spring."

Unfortunately, because of the pain Courage was in, he was heading towards the ledge.

"Courage look out!/Rourage look out!" Shaggy and Scooby shouted.

"Huh?" Courage croaked, before realizing his mistake to late and went right over the ledge.

Thankfully, Courage saved himself by grabbing onto a bottle stuck in a crack in the wall. However, the bottle soon gave way, causing him to fall to the floor.

Shaggy and Scooby appeared over the ledge, looking worried.

"Courage, are you okay!" Shaggy asked.

"I'm okay," Courage moaned, although truth be told he was not okay. He then shouted in pain when the bottle landed on his head.

A second later, water came rushing out of the crack a moment later. In seconds, water gushing from the hole filled the depression.

"Raggy look. Rater," Scooby pointed at the stream.

"Let's jump in," Shaggy suggested, before he and Scooby jumped in with the others.

"Whee!" Muriel shouted.

The depression was fully filled completely with water

"You sprung the spring, Courage!" Muriel said, happy with no trace of pain evident in her voice, "And my pain's completely gone!"

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage could still hear the goat continuing to moan in pain. They turned their gaze and saw him holding his neck in agony.

"I think Mr. Goat could use the full spa treatment. Don't you, boys?" Muriel pointed out.

"Mmm-hmm," Courage nodded, feeling a stab of sympathy for the goat.

"Reah," Scooby agreed.

"Totally," Shaggy added.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage out of the hot springs and Scooby and Courage shook themselves dry.

"What? What are you doing?" the goat asked, as the trio picked him up and brought him to the edge before throwing him into the hot springs. And a moment later, he came back up with a smile on his face, "Oh! The water is back!"

Courage then took out a nail filer and began filing the goat's horns until it was short again. And while he was doing that, Shaggy and Scooby cleaned the hot springs of the remaining trash. Thankfully, it was made easier by the pool rakes they found nearby.

"You look like a million bucks! I mean, goats!" Muriel complimented.

"I feel great!" the goat said, laughing before tears came to his eyes, "My Pain is gone! I can't believe it! I've been protecting the Hot Spring for so long that it caused me so much pain. Thank you!"

"Your welcome," Courage smiled.

"Like, anytime goat dude," Shaggy felt pride surging through him.

"But remember to keep the Hot Spring clean," Courage said.

"Rou can do that by adding trash cans," Scooby suggested.

"I'll keep that in mind," the goat responded, with a nod of acknowledgment.

However, a moment later, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage heard footsteps coming up from behind them. Turning around, they became surprised but also Shaggy and Scooby had to stifle their laughter when they saw the female mountain ape approaching them while carrying Eustace.

"Is this the legendary hot spring that cures broken hearts?" she asked, with Eustace groaning.

"Oh, boys. It looks like things are changing for the better," Muriel said, smiling.

Courage nodded before winding his ears with them springing afterward to goat horns, "Better Bah onto your horns."

"Rou said Rourage," Scooby giggled, "Scooby-Bah-Dooby-Doo."
