2nd Day.
It was a hustle in the makeup room, provided to the mermaid show. Dawn was not able to handle her head piece which weighed I guess 1 kg.
"How am I gonna handle this in water?" she looked scared.
"The weight lessen in water remember!" Misty said from beside. They were sitting with shorts on, they were going to put the tails at last moment. Misty had blue crown with little sparkle descending her forehead,, her top was sparkly, she had a bracelet of shells in her hand.
"Can you fix my tiara?" Bonnie said scratching her head.
"May! I think we should change her hairstyle?" Misty asked May.
"Make a bun, the tiara will be supported" Dawn turned her head suddenly and a 'phew' escaped her mouth as she managed the wobbly tiara.
Bonnie's tiara had a very small pearl in the middle and it was tapering, she had a pink sheered top and a pink tail.
"Are you guys done?" Iris the pirate came in.
"Come! we have to dress the Pokémon" she shoved the girls one by one out of the room.
"Don't forget to take our tails and the prop basket with you to the stage. Okay!" Dawn said as Iris closed the door.
"You guys ready?" Iris said to the guys seating on the seats beside the room.
"They met the guys outside and Ash was gaping, literally gaping towards Misty, it was a bit chilly and she didn't put her jacket on. Ash lent her his. Bonnie asked everyone how she looked.
"You are the prettiest mermaid here" Brock commented as Bonnie rushed to ask Max as well.
"You look beautiful" Ash said, his eyes on Misty, he quickly burst out. "I mean you all look good in these costumes" he moved his head to other girls as well. That was awkward.
"Meet you guys back stage" Iris gave a thumps up.
They reached the backstage where Pokémon were given rest spot.
"Misty fixed the manta's accessories, tail cuffs, tiara and some tattoo over the face.
"I am telling you, if this was a historic drama 100 percent-he is a legendary Pokémon" Dawn said moving her head slowly. The mantis chuckled in water.
"Haaaa" Drew burst out laughing, he was looking at Dawn.
"You sure you head won't topple off?!" he said
"I wonder what made you so desperate that you wanna crawl!" she said smirking.
"Let's see if you can move from there to here" he said leaning over the opposite wall.
"YOU!. Meet me after I am done with my shot" she said crossing her arms hastily and then spreading them out to balance the wobbly tiara.
"Hey! Aye, aye captain Drew" Brock came in with his double eye patch.
"Hola! You guys" Ash came in a cool jacket which he was forced to buy, cause May liked the look of it
"That's some serious hero coseplay" Drew smirked
"Hey Iris, you forgot you eye patch." Brock stopped as she turned to face him by moving just her neck cause she was busy painting on the seal. So he just put it for her
"Where's Gary?" Iris asked as she finished the painting, she had some paint on her cheeks which Brock wiped off.
"He will come before the performance"
"Hello fellow professors…." the show finally started and the list of performance were with our very responsible Brock.
He read "magic show, Pokémon dance, Udon show, skit, singing, misty mermaid show"
"Come to think of it, the name's a bit awkward" Misty gave a worried look, she shoved ash to talk to him.
"Umm, actually we want to paint but squirtle won't come out of his shell" she whispered
He bent down to talk to him but no response. He then poked his finger to which a water beam hit Misty. "Hey, you rude Pokémon" Ash was furious.
"It's okay. I am anyways gonna be all wet" Misty giggled.
He then propped his head a little and wasn't really ready for the paint
"I will just dot some, promise!" Misty sweet voice cheered him and he stood up. Ash watched as she put designs on his head.
"Um.. so? no nightmares na?" he asked
"Ya, I am okay"
"Good. Don't be scared" Misty gazed towards him and their eyes locked.
"So now we welcome-the Udon show" the mc voice echoed.
They all huddled up to grab their chair. Luckily they had screen on back stage got the participants to watch. May was excited yet nervous she drank 4 cokes already and was sweating.
"May, you okay?" Misty asked
"Yes! I am nervous though"
"It will be fine" Misty kept a hand on her jiggling leg .
"The next performance was comedy, it lightened up there mood a bit but the moment everyone awaited was just after one performance.
"And the next performance is a singing by Pr. Shelly Oberon"
"Wait guys! Where's Gary?" Iris burst up as they all stood up to grab their stuff for the performance.
"Here I am" he came from the opposite side, buttoning his shirt.
"Time" Iris pointed at her wrist shrugging her shoulder.
"Sorry" he said as his eyes landed on Misty. He took the chance of the chaos and moved to her
"You look beautiful in that wig"
"That isn't a wig. I straightened my hair". Her hair was longer than it was before but a bit more wavy.
"Gary, hold this" Iris shoved in the fake guns and swords bag to him
Misty was dome with her tails and May was biting her nails out of nervousness
Dawn started her breathing exercise as she held her tiara in place.
Everyone clapped as the nice song ended.
The thud of claps made their hearts go faster as they MC moved to the stage. Here under the stage Dawn was ready with her breathing gear on top of the Manta ready for the pool to rise up.
"And the moment you all have been waiting for, we present you-The Misty Mermaid show" the MC moved out as the stage went black and the crowd screamed. May was still sweating, Ash held her hand to keep her calm. Misty, Bonnie, Ash and May were on the left counter while Gary, Brock and Iris on the right .
As the pool raised Ash ducked down to hold Misty and Bonnie as the platform wasn't that spacious
And the led lights in the pool glowed up on the queen Dawn sitting in the middle of the pool on the manta. Her eyes closed. And the audio started.
The manta moved in circles and than a swirl after which the other water Pokémon followed. Seal squirtle, luvdisk, vaporeon, manaphy, azumarill , seaking, it looked magnificent array of water pokemons moving in the water with such sync.
'The mermaid queen maintains the harmony in the sea with her kind gestures and all her powers, she stays strong with the Pokémon. She is the sole power that stands for the water Pokémon'- the narration started and Dawn moved from above the Mantas to his side, her magnificent tail flapping as she swirled round the manta. Her tiara loosened up but she managed to hold it with one hand .Then black, and the scene changed to the surface.
Ash and Misty dropped the other props in place, when the focus was on a boat on top of the pool.
"Aye aye captain" Brock rowed the small boat. Gary and Brock were in a boat with binoculars and with a net.
"This land is famous for the Mermaid queen's stay. She protects the water Pokémon and we don't get our prey!"
"Ahhhhhh, you guys fuss over her so much, not one will remain after we kill her tonight." Iris was a total mood she kept her character as she was sitting in the chair with her legs crossed.
"Pass me the binoculars" she asked and searched for the Pokémon
"Send in out Josh" She gestured as Brock releases the Clawitzer in water.
"But how will we get her out of water?" Gary asked.
"Today is the day when the waters strengthen for the few minutes at midnight, all the water Pokémon enrich with energy as the water glows furnishing a different force in them" Iris stood up on the edge of the boat "but the mermaid will be weak then"
"So what do we do" Brock asked coming from the rowing area.
"You mad! Don't leave the controls. We wait till midnight" Iris sat down and passed the binoculars to Gary.
The scene shifted again to underwater and the queen was sitting on her stone throne, the spy Cawitzer was hiding behind the bushes as different water Pokémon gathered up. The golden seal lead their way to the queen the Pokémon bowed to her and the ritual begins.
The Pokémon formed a circle as the queen moved in the center. As she swirled around, squirtle began to swim around her creating small rings of water. She was visible from outside, soon the luminous grass was brought and in and the water began to shine as an ancient song played, while queen gestured the golden seal to come in. The hiding Pokémon, moved to the surface and the pirates followed it and hid behind the throne.
Iris positioned herself in middle while she gestured Gary and Brock to move with the net from either sides. Her eyes fall on the golden seal and she gave off a very cunning smile just like the pirate captain and gestured to capture it. As Brock and Gary capture the seal, all the Pokémon ended up in chaos and the recitation stopped and the light died. The golden seal struggled but Crowbat stung it to have nightmare.
And the queen started calming the Pokémon with a song .
"Good thing we added it" Misty commented.
"It's your dive in." Ash pulled her to the edge and lowered Bonnie down.
The queen moved to save the seal but is stabbed by the pirate. The queen sinks down as the Pokémon run away. The pirates move to the boat and the scene ends.
Bonnie is highlighted terrified at the next scene as someone kept a hand on her, it's Misty, she reveals herself.
"What happened Bella?" she asked
"The queen is dead!" Bonnie said terrified and hugged her as they both embrace each other.
"God bless the late queen" they both say and cry.
"Those pirates, they don't deserve mercy, they will be punished for their deeds, for their crime, for stealing our seal, for destructing the harmony, for killing the queen" Misty said holding the queens crown at the bottom and they cover her with some big leaves.
The scene changed to some Pokémon trainers swimming and having fun. That's May and Ash. Squirtle and Pikachu play. Squirtle looked pale and the sea as well.
"What is wrong with the waters?!" Ash exclaims but his back his facing towards the audience.
"It looks so dull. Like you !" May splashed Ash and he now faced the audience.
They splash little water on each other as something crept under May's leg
"OH! What was that?" May's lips didn't match the words, cause she got startled by it. It was in the practice but I guess she was too nervous.
"What?" Ash asked and searched the water. Just then an unconscious Piplup appeared behind them. They squeak as the Pokémon breathed heavily. They move it to the floating island in the middle of the pool surface.
Bonnie propped her head behind them and runs under water, the flash light follows her she ends up to Misty who is tending to another injured Pokémon, she tells her about the trainer and they head to the surface. Again, now Misty is propping her head behind them, her face is held above water, her turquoise eyes looked beautiful as she stared at May and Ash.
"Here" Ash passed May the food, she fed the Piplup, but it didn't take food.
The pokmeon senses Misty's presence and growled at her. Ash and May look, but she ducked in water and moved up the other way.
"Could it be its predator?" May stood up searching the waters.
"Totodile, come out" Ash bounced his poke ball "go search the waters"
"Ashton, I think we have to take the Pokémon to the city Pokémon centre" May found a torn net and the wraped the Pokémon in and swam toward the other side.
Just then Misty fluttered and swimmed towards. "What was that?" Ash startled, they held the Pokémon tight and searched around.
He noticed again, something appeared racing towards him. "Totodile, bubble beam" he ordered but he stopped mid way and chuckled.
"What's wrong" May looked too nervous, exact for the moment required.
Bonnie propped up with the Totodile and it startled them. The piplup growled at her. They moved again but Misty came out to block their way.
"Where are you taking this Piplup?" she demanded
"To the Pokémon centre" May said.
"Filthy humans, don't dare touch him, you won't get away with your cunning ways" Misty said getting to attack them.
"Humans?" Ash looks confused as the Pokémon growled again, this time louder.
"Is this your? Trust us, we found it injured " May said trying to balance, but sliped deep squirtle was quick to help her balance she held her right side.
"Leave him alone or be ready to die, the rage was really evident in her voice and her expression. She summoned a Gyarados and it appeared behind her. Growling, echoing in the whole stadium.
"Woa, how did he enter? Brock wondered.
"There's a canal" Gary answered.
"No wait" Bonnie came in between her and the huge Pokémon.
"These people are not bad, they are here to help" she said spreading her hands out.
Misty gave up and calmed the raging Pokémon. It dived in but splashed water on Bella and tossed her. She did a flip and dived in water'. Ash and May were amazed to see her flapping tail. The whole crowd goes whoa as bonnie did the flip.
"Bring him here" Misty asked them. She sung a sweet melody .It sounded very soothing.
"I didn't knew this mermaid could sing" Gary commented
"Ya, that's her mother's song" Brock crossed his arm as he said that.
The injured Pokémon now cheered around and circled May and Ash. He then came from under.
"Why is the sea so dull?" Ash asked
"The queen is.." Bonnie stopped suddenly and her face changed to fear."our queen was killed…."Misty explained everything to Ash.
"Hello I am Aston a trainer." " I am Melissa'
"I am Misty and this is Bella" the introductions finished as they moved to a cave. They sat down on the rocks while Bella and Misty were in the ester lake in the middle.
"God bless the late queen" May said bowing
"We will never forgive those criminals who stole the golden seal" Ash said
"We will get them ba…."
"Misty mermaid! help me! Please, please help!" Bonnie screamed, she was on the far side stuck in the net.
" Bella! Wait! I am coming" Misty dived in and then emerged near Bonnie. It was the pirates again. Misty pushed the boat and it tossed Brock in the water. Bonnie got free but, Brock and Iris caught Misty by her tail. "Where do you think you are going?"
"Mist-"Gary kept a hand on Bonnie's mouth. May and Ash arrived at the scene. Ash charged at the pirates but May crouched down and the scene ended as they followed the pirates.
"Misty mermaid save me" Bonnie bit Gary and jumped in water but another net caught her, they took both of them away.
The scene opened at the pirate base. They had many water Pokémon in cage and nets. The golden seal squeaked seeing Misty. The other Pokémon also squeaked, Ash and May approached from one corner as Bonnie distracted the pirates.
"Mermaids are way more costly than common Pokémon" Iris smirked keeping her leg on Misty's tail crushing it causing Misty to scream.
"We have to help them" Ash said clenching his fist.
"Wait, we need a plan" May replied, her acting was more natural now, she wasn't that nervous
"I want to keep the small one" Brock said with his hands grabbing Bonnie's tail but Iris stopped him "mine" she asserted dominance.
The pirates began quarreling. May took the chance and moved to the golden seal. As she opened the door the water splashed out and caught pirates' attention.
"You there!" Gary screamed as Iris and Brock headed towards her. She jumped into the sea.
Ash here, freed Bonnie. They freed the other pokemon and swam to May on the other side of the base.
"Stop! or this sword will stab you" Iris had the sword pointed towards May's back, she had the seal in her hand. May clenched the seat tightly and he froze.
"Give me the seal!" Gary snatched it from May. Misty, Bonnie and Ash propped there head from under water to see this.
"Hold this!" Iris ordered Brock to keep May busy while she attempted to take the seal from Gary but Gary refused. This started a quarrel between among them and Brock sided with Gary to take Iris down and they capture her in a net. They turn around to see everyone gone even the seal.
"You idiots" Iris exclaimed and laughed at them "that's why I am your boss "
Gary got angrier and moved to the base to grab the boat and got even more frustrated with the other Pokémon also. They sped up behind the mermaid and Pokémon and suddenly they split causing the pirates to stop and search for them
"Where are they ?" Brock and Gary stand, back touched to each other and turn around to see any movements.
Misty moved down and started creating powerful swirls under them causing it to become a whirlpool.
The whirlpool caused the boat to move, Brock and Gary fell in water. Next Gary grabbed Misty's tail "where you think you are running!"
As the whirlpool pulled Misty, Gary held on to her with his legs held by Brock as he had roped himself to the boat.
"Like you can catch me" Misty said and moved to the surface slapping Gary with her tail and the whirlpool calmed.
"Piece of land" she said to the worried Bella as the chuckled. But Misty is stabbed by Iris from behind as everyone watch in awe struck. She sunk deep.
"Misty" Bonnie screamed…
PS: I was like having butterflies in my stomach myself, as if I am really going to do a performance. It's so amazing how fantasy can sometimes be so real, feel real and I am glad that us humans have a gift to fantasies anything.;)
I know this chap is long but my hands wouldn't stop.
