Everything had been going great for the past couple of weeks when it came to the list. They had taken down at least four people from the list and had also helped a man get off of death row, while getting the right man put behind bars. They all decided that tonight everyone could take a break so that they would not burn themselves out. It just so happened that tonight was Thea and Roy's first date.
Thea was the one to ask him out since Roy never would have asked for himself, being that Thea was rich and he wasn't. He decided to go with it because he thought Thea was pretty and he really did like her personality.
"So, what made you ask me out on a date?" Roy asked.
"Well, that one is easy. We were together in the future. You even asked me to marry you." Thea said with a smile.
"How did someone like me pull off getting with someone like you?" Roy asked.
"For a while we were just friends, but you grew on me. You were also the only one of my boyfriends that Oliver actually liked. I guess that had to do with you working with him at his night job." Thea said.
"That might have been the case. I just never thought I could pull off getting with someone like you." Roy said.
"You did, and you pulled it off well." Thea said with a smile.
"Good to know. So, what do you think you want to eat?" Roy asked as they sat down and looked at the menu.
"There isn't much of a choice. It is just a burger place after all." Thea said.
"Are you sure this place is ok with you? We could have gone somewhere better." Roy said, since he was surprised that Thea wanted to go to Big Belly Burger.
"I got used to eating this stuff in the old timeline. Oliver and I didn't stay rich. Something happened to change that, but that is not important right now. The important thing is that I got used to not being rich anymore, so Big Belly Burger is just fine with me." Thea said.
"Ok. That works for me." Roy said as he looked at the menu and they waited for the waitress to come and get their order.
They soon made their order and their drinks were brought out to them. They talked about all of the things that had been going on with the team, as well as things in their normal everyday life. Things were going great for the both of them and Thea knew that it would, if Roy would just let go of his insecurities about the difference in their tax bracket.
"So, what do you say to going to a movie after we leave here?" Roy asked.
"I would love that. There are a few movies that are out now that I have been wanting to see. Which one did you have in mind?" Thea asked.
"I was thinking about the new Batman movie that came out this summer. It is in one of those theaters that show older movies for less money." Roy said.
"I love that movie. Of course, I will go and watch it with you." Thea said with a smile.
"I forgot that you had probably seen all of the movies that are out right now. What else is going to be big in the future?" Roy asked.
"I know that they only have a few movies out that are Marvel right now. It turns into a whole big universe and then they have two big Avengers movies at the end that puts all of the characters together. They are two of the best movies I have ever seen." Thea said.
"Wow. That sounds awesome. How long before all of this happens?" Roy asked.
"The first one comes out in 2018 and the second one in 2019. They were so great. I can't wait to see them in the theater again. They were awesome on the big screen." Thea said.
"Well, I look forward to seeing them with you." Roy said as the waitress came out with their food.
The rest of the meal was in silence as they enjoyed their food. Once they were done, Thea pulled out her phone and looked to see when the movie came on. She found that they had thirty minutes to get to the movie theater, which was plenty of time to get there.
When they got to the theater, they got their tickets and some popcorn and drinks and went to find the seats that they wanted. They ended up sitting in the back row. They both enjoyed the movie and even had a few makeout sessions when the movie got a bit boring at certain points.
They then left the movie theater and got back in the mustang that Roy was driving. Roy dropped her off at the mansion. Thea walked in and saw that Oliver was waiting for her.
"So, how did things go with Roy tonight?" Oliver asked.
"It was pretty much like old times, being that I went out with him in the future. Even got engaged to him before I was sent back here." Thea said.
"Oh, so he was a serious boyfriend then? I thought this was just a fling for you." Oliver said.
"No, it was not a fling Ollie. Roy is the love of my life, like Laurel is yours. How are things going with the two of you anyway?" Thea asked.
"Everything is going fine. We decided to take things slow this time around. We didn't want to rush things and it turn out like last time." Oliver said.
"That is probably a good idea. I am glad that you finally got your head out of your ass and got back together with her. You both were just so stubborn the last time around." Thea said.
"Yeah, I am really happy with the way things are going. I am glad that you are happy in your life as well, Speedy. I am headed up to bed. I will see you tomorrow." Oliver said.
"Good Night, Ollie." Thea said.
"Night, Thea." Oliver said as they both headed up the stairs and to their room to call it a night.
