Omake: Sanji meets the Princess Thief
by Arakiisjogenius
It was just a normal day on the Baratie. Customers to serve and meals to cook. Sanji flirted with pretty ladies and treated men with cold disrespect. He had just kicked a man for insulting the steak when in walked a short stout being that Sanji recognized as a fishman. It was greenish-yellow and possessed a square face with straight, white horns that grew from his temples. His beady eyes scanned the interior before he spoke in a scratchy voice.
"Hello, I have some questions about the menu. May I please ask a server."
Patty walked over to the fishman, trying to hide his fascination with the exotic being, and kept a professional tone.
"Yes sir? How may I help you?"
The fishman clearly noticed his interest but soldered on, clearly uncaring. "My crew has a lot of people who are vegetarian and can't consume most kinds of meat. Do you have vegetarian meals here?"
Patty snorted a laugh. "Of course sir! The Baratie is a fine dining establishment. We have something for most palettes."
The fishman nodded, walked back to the door, and yelled out to his party.
"Hey guys, it looks safe and the food looks good. Bring the girls in."
Heavy footsteps rang out as the tallest man Sanji had seen so far walked up to the doors and held them open with his double-elbowed arms. His legs were so long that they framed the doorway as he stood in place and allowed the 'girls' to enter.
Sanji's heart stopped as the most beautiful entourage he had ever seen entered.
Mermaids
Mermaids
They were wheeled in on a trolley holding barrels of seawater. Each one's face was awash with awe as they were brought in and saw what surface world fine dining looked like. There were five in total. Each one was the most beautiful woman Sanji had ever seen in 17 years of life.
Flanking the cart and helping it stay straight were a pair of very tall women. One with long white hair and horns while the other had voluminous brown hair that covered her eyes.
Pushing the cart, to Sanji's eternal envy, was a short young man with green hair. A stunning young lady with red and white hair walked arm in arm with him as the cart stopped in front of a stunned Patty. A feminine figure in a trench coat and hat brought up the rear with the tall man and a pair of young children. One was a pink-haired girl and the other was an absolutely massive baby fishwoman, pulled in a wagon by the former.
(Unknown to her, it really had a tiny motor to ease pulling it. A collaboration between the fishman and Harumeg.)
"Hello, party of fourteen."
"..."
"Hello?"
"I'm sorry, I just bit the inside of my lip to make sure I'm awake. Just give me a second to find a place where your taller friends can sit comfortably and you'll be seated."
'wait a minute, I know that guy!' Sanji's thoughts raged as he realized just who had stepped into his restaurant.
The man who had stolen from two Yonko., who had seduced the greatest singer in the world! He destroyed kingdoms and collected beautiful ladies like coins. He had destroyed the slave auction houses of Saobady just to acquire a rare hybrid as a trophy.
He had almost stolen the mermaid princess and took consolation prizes from the populace!
He had also beat the shit out of his dad and brothers, so he wasn't all bad, but still.
Normally Sanji would have kicked the shit out of him, but he knew better than to think he could challenge a (presumable) New World native.
So putting on his best server face, Sanjji walked over to the group.
One of the mermaids met his eyes. She was a lovely lady about his age with black hair and a black and white striped tail. She smiled and waved at him.
Sanji could have died a happy man right then and there.
"Guys, was it really okay to just walk in without disguising ourselves? Only Reiju is hiding and that's because her brother is here." The fishman, Bardeen, noted as the group was stared at by everyone they passed.
"Actually, as she claims, she's not hiding. She's just waiting for the right time to talk to him." The longlimb, Wadlow, recalled as he poked Inko in her chubby cheek. "Besides, what other family has five mermaids, a fishman, an infant wotan, and a longlimb? Anyone even remotely knowledgeable about us would easily identify us even if our human members were in disguise."
"You got a point," Bardeen admitted as Ishily giggled at the blonde waiter who had inexplicably hit it off with her. "And we are far away from anyone who could hope to do anything to us."
"Excuse me, but what is a wotan?" Patty, the other server asked as they made their way to a table that could seat all of their members.
"You see fishman can sometimes be the size of giants, but it is rare. When a fishperson and a giant have a baby, you get a wotan."
"So that's why she's so big..."
The group began to take their seats. Bardeen and Wadlow helped the mermaids onto their chairs, Yamato sat across from Izuku, and Harumeg and Uta took a seat on either side of him. A place was cleared for Inko-chan.
Before Patty and Sanji could start handing out menus, Reiju decided to tear off the bandaid and reached for her hat and scarf.
Sanji was fantasizing about how to save Ishily from her captor and convince Zeff to marry them as the captain of the Baratie when a vaguely familiar voice broke him from his rapture.
"Sanji..."
Sanji froze before slowly looking over his shoulder at the woman who had revealed her pink hair.
"I... came to see how you were doing. I trust that you heard about what happened back home?"
