Welcome back to chapter two of Monstrum! So last chapter I forgot to add the trigger warning. So this story will contain, murder, theft, crime, body horror, self-harm, suicide, insanity, and others. I will try to mark each chapter with trigger warnings but sometimes I will forget. Due to the nature of the story it can be very dark due to the crime fighting.

Reviews: Yule! You corrupted me. You showed me this manga/anime and now I'm sucked in. Suffer with me now! Yes, I have returned. I do intend to finish Shades of Gray at some point but Rey is still napping and ignoring me. Yes, I did try to write the first chapter a little differently than I normally do. I wasn't quite ready to let you into her head. I really wanted you to see how different her daily life is from the main characters. The girl in the cafe, with the red hair, can use her hair as a separate limb. She knows she can do it. The dark eyed girl didn't know until she possessed her. So you think our dark eyed girl stole the woman who's now in the hospital's quirk, interesting. You'll have to wait and see. You'll find the timing out in this chapter so I'm not going to answer that. You think she has fox ears? Any particular reason? An odd list, I do agree but she's an odd girl. Why did you get chills? I'll try to do it again. Any guesses about what she's looking for or is it something specific? All cats are cute and Doom Kitty is the cat's actual name. XD Interesting that you brought up Shinso, but you'll have to wait and see. Are you suggesting that she'd cheat? How dare you! Hope you like the new chapter!

Trigger warning: Theft, crime

Aizawa Shouta made a face as he stepped into the brightly lit casino with several police officers flanking him. They looked around until they spotted a man in a three piece suit hurrying towards them.

"Thank goodness you've come!" He greeted them.

"Sir, are you the manager?" The detective asked. The man nodded. Aizawa continued to look around the room, moving from the bar to the stage at the far left side of the room where a shapeshifter was performing some kind of song and dance to a grizzled man bellowing at a slot machine with a drink in hand.

"You reported illegal quirk use?" Aizawa cut to the chase with a bored expression.

"I think so." The manager nodded.

"Either you did or you didn't. Which is it?"

The manager sighed and explained as he led them away from the bar towards the card tables scattered about the center of the room, "I reported it but I can't prove how. Which is why I asked for you, Eraserhead." He stopped a ways away from a table sitting directly in the middle. "That girl, over there, with the blonde hair tied up in two space buns." They turned their eyes to her.

"She looks a little young to be in here, doesn't she?" Asked the detective. The manager nodded.

"I thought so too but the bounce verified her I.D. and I did so as well."

"So why do you think she's using her quirk if you can't prove it or even tell us what it is?" Aizawa questioned, his eyes not leaving the girl.

"She's been here for 3 hours and has yet to lose. The dealer has been switched out twice, the decks have been changed, I even had the dealer stack the deck against her because she keeps driving off other players who get sick of losing. That bag next to her? Full of cash! She had so many chips she had to exchange some of them for payment already and I heard about the Yamanaka casino the other day!" He laid his head in his hands and then bellowed, "She has to be cheating! She walked in here with 6,000 yen! 6,000! She's more than doubled it. Unfortunately neither I nor the cameras can catch her which was why I asked for you, Eraserhead. If you use your quirk we'll know if she's using hers! Then I want her arrested!" Aizawa swears the girl glanced in their direction at the shout but her head didn't move.

"Are you up for it, Eraserhead-san?" The detective asked. He nodded.

"Sure. However some gamblers get violent when they lose, we should be prepared for it." Pulling his goggles on he closed his eyes for a moment then snapped them open, focusing his quirk on the girl.

If she noticed her quirk deactivated she didn't show it. Instead she continued to play the game. Running her finger over her bottom of her face down card.

"I raise!" Sneered the man on her right. She smiled at him.

"Ah well, I fold." She answered easily, tossing her cards back to the dealer.

"Ha! I knew! I knew you were bluffing!"

"Oh, did you now? Well I suppose that's my que. Lady luck has abandoned me. Time to go before I lose anymore." She bent down and picked up the bag, gathered her chips, and then bowed. "Gentleman, thank you for the game." She turned and walked away, heading for the exchange counter.

"Nothing happened." One of the officers commented, sounding upset.

"Not true." The detective answered. "She's leaving. She noticed."

"So she wasn't cheating?" The manager groaned as Aizawa pushed his goggles up and dropped saline into his eyes.

"No she was." Aizawa answered, blinking to spread the liquid. "Didn't you see the way she was rubbing her cards. She's probably got an ink quirk. She'd change the ink on the cards to give herself the winning hand. She most likely did the same with her I.D. allowing her to change it without it being fake."

"I thought that was her tell."

"She played it off as her tell pretending to have been bluffing but in reality she noticed that her quirk was gone and that somebody had caught her. So she's fleeing. I'll cut off her escape route." He turned and walked out the front door, vanishing around the corner of the building.

"Stay here, Sir," the detective said, holding out a hand, "we'll take care of it from here." He and the two other officers made their way towards the girl. The manager glared at the girl one last time.

"Ruffian."

Yellow eyes purposefully stayed trained on the woman exchanging the chips for money, refusing to glance as the police officers closed in on her.

"There you go, hon, you're all set! Have a good night."

"You too." She bowed to the woman as politely as she could, the hair on the back of her neck stood on end. Where had the other one gone? She made her way towards the back exit, weaving through people, then swerving around a corner and into the ladies bathroom. Stepping into a stall she quickly changed out of the constricting shiny dress and began to let the gray goo drip off of her. She worked it off of her skin, tossing handfuls of it into the toilet as it came off. Once the goo was all gone she changed into black hoodie and then pulled her dark jeans over her legs. Flipping the dress inside out she zipped up the sides creating a tote. Dumping the money in, she set the briefcase down. Stepping out of her heeled boots. Replacing them with sneakers. Crawling out from the bottom she tied her hair up in a tight bun. She barely glanced at the group of women that came in. She messed around with her hair and then removed the makeup off with a wipe. As the women began to wash their hands she pulled the hood up and washed her own hands to get rid of any lingering gray stuff under her nails then followed them out as if part of their group.

Exiting the casino through the back door she slipped into the dark alleyway. Her phone beeped. Looking around once more she flipped the teal phone open as she slunk through the darkness. As she was about to look at the text, something wrapped around her, pinning her arms to her side forcing her to drop the bag.

"Hey! Let go!" She struggled and thrashed about only to be pulled off her feet, leaving them to flail in the air.

"That's enough. Struggling only makes it tighter." She spun slowly, glowering at the man speaking to her as he leaned down to pick up the bag. His dark hair falling in his face. He examined her with bored eyes. "You're younger than I thought." He examined her closer. "A lot younger. There's no way you've graduated from high school. Come on kid, what are you doing in this place?" Silence. "Alright, fine. Don't answer." He shrugged. He stepped closer and she could finally see that he'd caught her with the odd scarf he was wearing.

So it's fabric then, she thought, digging her hand into her pocket, fingers closing around a metal object. He slowly lowered her back to the ground. She settled on her knees and did her best to school her features, adopting a scared expression, allowing her hood to fall.

"Please! Why are you doing this? Who are you?" The man arched an eyebrow at her.

"That's what you're going with?"

"Please, I was just walking home. I don't know what you mean."

"Alright then tell me why do the cameras show a blonde girl walk into the casino bathroom but you walk out instead. The staff checked. She's not in there anymore and there are no windows to climb out of. There's also no footage of you going into the bathroom. Can you explain that?" He crouched down in front of her.

"I don't know! I don't know anything about cameras! They confuse me!" Tears flickered in her dark eyes as she started working the knife against her bonds. "Please I thought a guy was following me so I ducked into the casino, figured I'd hide out in the bathroom for a few minutes and then make a break for it out the back. I was scared! I should have bought something, like a drink! I know that!"

"You're way too young to make it into a casino. Why don't you try again?" She worked the knife faster, ignoring the desire to grit her teeth, what the hell was this thing made of?!

"You're right, I am," she dropped her eyes to the ground, "I was just so scared, I know I shouldn't have done it but I ducked in hiding in a group. I didn't want any of the bouncers to get in trouble so I snuck by them. I'm sorry!" Tears gathered on her eyelashes.

The man reached out, ruffled her hair and complimented, "You're a very good actress and a younger less experienced hero would probably fall for your act." He straightened up. "Oh and that knife isn't going to cut my capture weapon. It only looks like fabric. It's actually made from a special metal alloy and carbon fibers. All you're doing is dulling your knife so you might as well stop and start telling the truth." Her eyes widened at his words.

"Knife? What knife?!" Her head whipped around looking for the knife. The hero rolled his eyes and reached over to take the knife from her hands as he did so she shot forward, loosening the capture weapon from around her. Wiggling out she tossed it over him and then kicked his feet out from under him, yanking it tight with one foot. Grabbing her tote and phone she ran, ignoring his shouts.

Running around the corner she skidded to a stop when she saw the officers searching around. Whirling around she took off in the other direction, wincing when one of the officers saw her, his shouting drawing the others attention. The sound of their feet pounding after her filled her ears as she pushed her legs harder, chest heaving as she darted down another alleyway, picking the closest darkest one. She skid to a stop upon coming face to face with a brick wall.

"This way!" One of the officers shouted. "I see her," the officer in the lead began closing in.

Please be something useful, she whimpered in her mind as she reached out and yanked. Cursing, she focused until glowing white disks appeared, creating a staircase up the wall to the roof of the building, doing her best to ignore the pain rippling behind her eyes. She jumped from disk to disk with ease.

"She's going up the wall!" She leapt from the last disk, rolling across the top of the building back onto her feet and dismissed the disks. Hearing one of the police officers shout, she rushed over to the edge to see one of them fall from the middle of the building. Cursing, she reached into her pocket and retrieved a knife and some wire. Sticking the knife between her teeth she quickly tossed the wire over the edge, snaring it around the officer's ankle before he hit the ground. She bit her lip as the wire cut into the soft flesh of her skin. Spitting the knife point down into the roof and then slamming her foot on it to embed it deeper she wound the wire around the knife tying it off to prevent the man from falling any further. Whirling around she ran and flung herself over the other side of the roof and bolted.

Walking calmly around the corner into another alleyway. She moved into the shadows silently. Weaving through the connecting alleys towards home. Her heartbeat calmed the further she got away from the casino and pro hero who chased her. She glanced around, eyes searching the dark for the man, when she didn't see him she stepped out of the shadows and towards an adequately lit street. "Time to go." Lugging her tote bag up over her shoulder. "Almost home, just a bit more to go, just gotta blend in." She picked up her pace to a light jog. She yelped as she hit the ground, her arms pinned to her side with the tote bag. "Damn it! Let go! How did you even find me?" She squirmed as the pro hero reeled her in. When the bindings didn't budge she slumped and let him pull her up to the roof. "Why are you so persistent? Nobody has to know!"

"I'd know." She glared at him, trying to wriggle free of binging cloth once more. Instead he pulled it tighter. "You've broken several laws and you need to be held accountable for them."

"They're stupid laws meant to keep people weak and malleable." She sneered, forcing herself up.

"You think so?"

"I didn't hurt anyone."

"You cheated."

"Ha! And the casino doesn't?! What sandbox have you got your head in?"

"You know that when you sign up to play, or you would if you were old enough to actually be in a casino. You know the odds are stacked against you. That's what you trade for the chance to win." He pointed out, stepping closer but making sure the capture weapon didn't loosen this time.

"I was just lucky."

"I used my quirk to erase yours, I know you were using your ink quirk. What I can't explain is how you went from a blonde with yellow eyes to a dark eyed girl with black and blonde hair. It doesn't make sense. Care to enlighten me?"

"Colored contacts and a wig." She shrugged. His eyes narrowed. He stared at her for a moment then barked out a laugh.

"Sure kid, whatever you say. Come on, let's get you down to the cops." He pulled her up to her feet. He paused when she smirked only to go reeling back when she kicked up a cloud of dirt into his face. Untangling herself from the weapon once more she ran for the brightly lit streets once again. Launching herself over the lip of the building she plummeted down, landing in a crouch. Ignoring the pain in her knees she tossed the tote bag up over her shoulder and ran.

Once she was well mixed in with the crowd she pulled the hood back up over her distinctive hair and adopted a more normal pace, no longer running and panting. She picked a group of teenagers, probably high schoolers, and trailed after them, making it look as if she were with them rather than alone. Her eyes darted around, looking for the dark man or any cops paying her too much attention. She let out a sigh of relief when she spotted none. Moving down a less crowded street she paused at a food stand, her stomach rumbling loudly. Smiling, she ordered, ignoring the odd look she got at it. Reaching into the tote bag she pulled the cash out and traded it for the 30 skewers of yakitori. Waving happily to the man as she left she put an entire skewer in her mouth, pulling the empty stick out with a pop. She chewed slowly, savoring the taste with a moan. She devoured the rest in a similar fashion before dumping the empty skewers into a garbage bin. She'd barely finished licking her fingers clean when boots connected with her back knocking her to the ground. She yelped and immediately began to flail but her arms were quickly caught and twisted behind her back. She whimpered as he pinned her wrists between her shoulder blades when she struggled.

"Okay, okay, okay! I'll stop struggling!" She went still and her wrists slid down her back.

"You're too clever to be doing something this stupid. You have talent. Why waste it like this?" She turned her head, trying to look at the pro hero now sitting on her back. She noted that he had his goggles pulled down now.

"Being clever doesn't put food on the table. I do what I've got to do to survive. If the world only sees a thief then why should I give them anything else?"

He hummed though he didn't manage to say anything before she bucked him off. A white disk appeared beneath her feet and then several more around him. He barely glanced at them before she shot from one to the other. His eyes quickly tracked her trajectory before he activated his quirk. She cried out as they vanished but his capture weapon saved her from hitting the wall.

He ducked under her foot, dodging the kick aimed for his head as he blinked, "Stop that!" She clocked him in the face, her shoes slid off his goggles, with a second kick. Whirling around she lunged for him again using the glowing disk as a stepping stone, only to see his eyes glow red through his goggles just in time for her head to smack off of his, thrown off by her loss of footing. She groaned, pain blooming in her forehead. "As I was trying to say, your quirk is quite strong, it's a waste to use it like this. There's so much more you could be doing. More than just a thief." He reached to pull her up into a sitting position. She stared at him for a moment, emotions warring in her dark eyes before making another attempt she lunged for his arm, sinking her teeth into his arm. He shouted in pain and tried to pull her off. The two rolled across the ground. Holding on stubbornly she swallowed as much blood as she could, till he managed to grab enough of her hair to pull her off. She rolled over the ground before leaping back up to her feet in one swift motion and then kicking him into a pile of clutter and garbage. She rubbed her hair where the missing hair had been pulled from, whimpering from the pain, she ran.

Activating her quirk again allowed her to transform into the man. She moved through the city. Avoiding the lights and people in general she slunk home, using his appearance to hide.

Aizawa Shouta got up and shook himself. Pressing a hand to the bleeding bite mark on his arm he looked at the clump of hair still in his hand. He hummed at it, "You've got talent, kid. A shame you're wasting it on petty thievery when you could really help. Maybe you just need a helping hand." He turned and walked away. "Perhaps..."

"Eraserhead!" An officer ran up to him. "Did you find her?" The other two joined them.

"No, she got away. She's gone for the night. I'll continue the search tomorrow."

"How are you going to find her?" The dark haired one asked.

"Don't worry about it. I will deal with her." He nodded his head at them before vanishing into the darkness.

"But tomorrow? Why tomorrow?"

"I have school tomorrow. Also she's gone." As he walked away he muttered to himself, "Nothing but a thief, huh?"

Wiping the rest of the goo off her body she unlocked the front door and stepped in. Her phone dinged. She pulled it out and flipped it open. She hung the tote up behind the panel back of the wall and closed the hallway closet door.

Cupcake: Hey, how's it going?

Cupcake: hello?

Cupcake: Are you there?

Cupcake: Heeeeelllloooo? Is anybody there?

Cupcake: seriously, are you okay?

Cupcake: ANSWER ME!

Several more of similar shouting filled her inbox. She shook her head at them, scrolling down to the last one.

Cupcake: I swear if you died some other way than me stabbing you I'm gonna scream!

Rolling her eyes she started texting. Her fingers flicking over the buttons before another frantic text.

Me: Relax, I'm fine. Things got... complicated but I'm okay. No need to freak, also really?! You want to stab me to death? WTF!

"Akiara? Is that you? Are you home?" A womanly voice called as Akiara walked into the kitchen.

"Hey Mom, yeah I'm home." She answered, pulling her hair down as she did so. "Sorry I'm late." A dark haired woman rushed over to envelop the girl in a tight hug.

"You had me so worried! I came home and you were gone! Tatsuo said you made dinner, cleaned up and then said you were going out and didn't come back. You can't do that to me! What if something had happened? To you or Tatsuo?" Akiara handed her mom a handful of yen.

"Sorry Mom, I was just trying to make some money for you. I just wanted to help." She hung her head low.

"Oh, Sweetheart, you know you don't have to do that. I can take care of everything. You don't need to worry."

"But you work so hard! And after Asahi and Ichio, we never see you anymore! I just—" she cut off, her dark eyes closing as she took a deep breath. "I just wanted to make up, for, for, everything." Her shoulders sagged with the last word.

"Akiara, none of that was your fault. You have nothing to make up and I refuse to hear anything else about it. I love you honey, and it's my job to provide for you and your brother! Not you for us." Akiara's shoulders slouched even more. "Now go to bed. We'll do something fun tomorrow, okay?"

Her phone dinged again as she stepped into her room.

Cupcake: of course I do! But not right now! Also I was mad, you ditched me.

Me: not on purpose! Jeez, I got blindsided on my job and had to bolt. Hard to text when you're running.

Cupcake: well I guess I can forgive you then ;)

Me: oh thank you, gracious queen

Cupcake: that's right!

Me: yeah yeah yeah

Cupcake: don't you "yeah yeah yeah" me

Me: oh yeah? Whatcha gonna do about it? Huh?

Cupcake: stab you! Obviously!

Me: Can't. I'm at home. Can I refuel soon? I had to use the last of it to escape but not tonight. Mom caught me. I'm in trouble.

Cupcake: oh damn! You in trouble! Good luck with that! Talk to you later!

Me: gee thanks. Feeling the concern. =_=

Cupcake: you're welcome :D

Me: Night

Cupcake: :D

Rolling her eyes as she changed into her pajamas and plugged her phone in so the teal object could charge, having mostly run out the battery from the texting. Sighing, she collapsed into her twin bed, closing her eyes, hardly noticing the little black cat that curled up next to her head as she did so.

Morning came far too soon and the alarm ringing on her nightstand woke Akiara up. Groaning, she slapped the alarm until it stopped beeping.

"Why do I have that set?" She groaned.

"Kia! Get up! I can hear your alarm! Up young lady!" Her mom's voice called through the apartment. Getting up she opened her door.

"I'm up, I'm up, I'm up." She called. "Gonna shower and brush my teeth." She mumbled the last part, running her tongue along her teeth, still tasting the blood from the night before. "Jeez Doom you'd think she'd be more tired than me but I dunno." The black cat merely yawned and went back to sleep. "I don't know why you're still sleeping. You were asleep when I left and when I got home."

"Hurry up! Mom is making breakfast! If you take forever I'm going to eat it all!" Tatsuo shouted from the kitchen as she made her way to the bathroom.

"Tatsuo, you will not! Don't tease your sister." Their mom called. "There's nothing wrong with showering. You could learn a thing or two about it." Rolling her eyes at the two Akiara shut the bathroom door and turned the shower on.

The doorbell rang in the afternoon. Her mother looked at Akiara who looked back at her and shrugged. Akiara got up to answer it when Tatsuo ran for the door.

"I'll get it!" He shouted. Akiara raced him for it.

"Tatsuo, no!" Her mother called after him. Akiara beat him to the door with her longer legs. She grabbed him by the back of his tee and swung him around sending him running back to their mother. "What have I said about answering the door?"

"But Akiara gets to!" He whined.

"Akiara is older," Their mother chided. Akiara tuned them out as she opened the door.

"Hello..." She trailed off once she saw who stood on the other side of her door. The pro hero from the night before, Eraserhead himself, stood with a small mouse-bear creature wearing a three piece suit.

"Hello Young Lady!" The mouse-bear greeted her raising a paw but her eyes stayed glued to the pro hero.

"Akiara? Who is it?" Her mother's voice echoed through the apartment.

"It's, it's it's, uh..." She trailed off, her brain working in overtime for an answer.

"Kia?" Her mother asked, walking over to where she stood frozen. Akiara quickly slammed the door shut.

"Wrong door!" She answered, smiling at her mother leaning on the door. Her mother blinked at her slowly.

"Sweetheart, is everything okay?" Akiara nodded quickly. A knock sounded at the door behind her. "Are you going to answer that?" Akiara's eyes darted to it.

"No?" She asked hopefully.

"Akiara, move." When she didn't her eyes darkened. "Now." Whimpering Akiara moved and allowed her mother to open the door. The two strange men still stood there.

"Good afternoon, Ma'am!" The mouse-bear greeted. "My name is Nezu, the principal at U.A. Academy and this is my associate Aizawa Shouta. We'd like to speak to you about your daughter." Her mother glanced at her daughter who winced and then shook her head, silently begging her not to let them in.

"Of course, please come in, would you like some tea?" Her mother offered. Akiara deflated at her words.

"Yes please!" Nezu answered cheerfully. Aizawa hardly paid attention to the glare Akiara sent his way. He arched an eyebrow at her for a mere second before following Nezu into the living room.

"It's nice to meet you, my name is Nakamura Megumi and this is my daughter Akiara. May I ask what this is about?" Megumi asked as they all sat down, Akiara turning paler and paler from where she sat.

Nezu took a sip of tea and then explained, "Aizawa-san is a pro hero who was called in by the police about somebody using their quirk to cheat at a casino."

"Oh, that's terrible! I hope you catch them." Megumi replied.

"Well, I did catch them," Aizawa explained, eyes sliding over to Akiara who was desperately shaking her head at him, "however they escaped."

"Oh dear, were you injured?"

"Not badly. The culprit bit me to escape the last time." He rolled the arm of the shirt up to reveal the mark on his arm. Megumi's eyes narrowed at the mark, her eyes darting to her daughter, who's lips remained primly shut as if starched by an iron, for a moment, barely a moment but both pros caught it.

"Well I hope you find them soon. May I ask what this has to do with Akiara?"

"Well Ma'am, when the culprit bit me we scuffled. I managed to pull some hair from them. I used it to track them down." Aizawa produced a handful of black and blonde hair. Megumi whirled on Akiara.

"Nakamura Akiara! You promised! You said you would stop! You said no more!"

"You needed the help!" She argued.

"It's not your job to take care of the family!"

"I want to help!"

"Illegally?! You can't help from jail!" Megumi cries.

"Actually Nakamura-san," Nezu interrupted, "if I may, we hunted your daughter down for a specific reason. Not just because of her illegal activities. I'd like to offer your daughter a place in U.A. Academy's Hero Course." The two women blinked at him slowly.

"A what?" Akiara questioned.

"A place in U.A. Academy's Hero Course." Nezu answered. "You impressed Aizawa Shouta," he motioned to the man sitting next to him, "which is incredibly difficult."

"You have a lot of potential, just like I said the night before. It's a waste on petty thievery but not only are you wasting your talent which can be so much more than just a thief but sooner or later you're going to attract unwanted attention." Akiara resisted the urge to wince when he threw her own words back at her.

"I can take care of myself." Akiara told him.

"Akiara! Don't be rude!" Her mother scolded.

"Maybe you can," he shrugged, then let his eyes drift from her mother over to Tatsuo who was breaking and rebuilding with his quirk, "but what about them?" He watched Akiara's eyes widened in horror. "The kind of people who will want to take advantage of your quirk will not hesitate to use your family against you. To harm them to force your compliance. They may not survive. Are you willing to risk that?" Blood dribbled from the split in her lip where her sharp canines dug into the soft flesh.

"Okay," she dropped her head, her messy bangs shading her eyes, "I'll stop. I won't do it anymore but as much as I appreciate the offer of a place in your school, I'll have to decline."

"Akiara! You should take it." Megumi chided.

"We can't afford it!" She argued.

"I told you to stop that!"

"I'll get a regular job then! But I won't let you work yourself to death for us when I can help!"

"If I may," Nezu smiled at the pair, "Aizawa came to me this morning for that reason."

"I had a guess that money was an issue because even though you were engaging in illegal activities you made an effort not to hurt anyone. Even the officer, you saved his life when he fell. I saw you risk getting caught to save him from that fall. You're not a bad kid." Aizawa explained. "So I went to our principal."

"Now, should you agree to take the spot, U.A. will clear everything up with the casino, your record will be clean as being a part of U.A's hero course will be considered community service and the school will pay the casino back for what was taken, and provided you stay out of trouble and keep your grades up the school will provide financial aid to you and your family."

"Why?"

"Akiara! Stop being so rude!" Megumi snapped.

"What? I wanna know why they would go out of their way to help somebody that's been nothing but trouble? They don't really know me so why would they go out on a limb like that for me? Everybody always wants something in return!"

"Kid," she turned her gaze to Aizawa, "everyone makes mistakes and with your quirk you're either going to be the best hero or the worst villain to walk the streets. How that turns out is entirely up to you. The best we can do is offer you help in finding your way before it's too late to reach you. It's your choice. Not everyone wants to use you."

Akiara stared at him, her brain trying to process what he'd just said to her. By her side Megumi was straight up crying at this point. Tatsuo ran up to hug his mom and show her the spaceship he'd built with his quirk.

"Okay, I'll attend your school." She stood, surprising both when she bowed deeply to them. "Thank you for giving me a chance. I won't waste it."

Nezu smiled, "Excellent! Well we need to get the paperwork filed and the measurements for your uniform as well as your hero costume and any design choices you'd like. The year has started but it's still the first week so you don't have all that much to catch up on!"

Aizawa glanced around at his students who looked at him expectantly.

"Well by now I assume you've all noticed that someone is missing." He started. All eyes drifted to the empty seat in the classroom. "Hagakure Toru has transferred from the hero course." The class sat silently for a moment, all eyes wide at his words.

"Aizawa-sensei!" Ida shot up, raising his hand high in the air as if Aizawa didn't hear him. "Does this mean that class A-1 will only be at 19 students rather than the usual 20?"

Aizawa sighed at his exuberance but instead turned to the door and said, "You can come in and introduce yourself now."

The door slid open and a girl with black and blonde streaked hair stepped in. She wore the girl's uniform with the tie loosely around her neck and the first two buttons undone with black thigh high socks with scruffy burgundy high top canvas shoes. She smiled at them with sharpened canines.

"Hello, my name is Nakamura Akiara." She bowed deeply. "Please take care of me."

"You may take your seat Nakamura. Now, let's begin with the lesson." Aizawa turned to the blackboard and began writing as Akiara made her way to the empty seat, the light twinkling off the multiple piercings, ignoring the eyes on her and trying to focus on the lesson.

She finally has a name! I tried to do something different when I wrote the first chapter and she didn't want to reveal her name so I didn't. Let me know if it felt weird or if you liked it. I can't wait to hear what you think of everything. Has anyone figured out what Akiara's quirk is? Who do you think her friend is? I look forward to your thoughts! Cheshire out~!
