3. Chapter 3

Unknown Location

A 16 year old male was walking through a tunnel. He was looking at the piece of paper he was given.

"According to this, the place should be here...Oh! I see a light!"

Said the teen as he reached towards the end of the tunnel.

The teen walked out of the tunnel rubbing his eyes.

"Woah..." The teen was mesmerized as he saw a literal forest. Trees, bushes, grasses, it was exotic!

"What is this place?"

"Mobius."

The teen felt a presence as a shadow loomed over him.

He turned around and was startled.

"AHHHH!"

The taller individual chuckled.

"I apologize, I keep forgetting that not everyone is used to seeing me."

The individual looked like a woolly mammoth, except he was standing on two legs. The strangest part about him was that he wore a white suit and he had a wooden stand. Which was odd cause he was upright.

"Y-Y-Y-You're a woolly mammoth that can talk?!"

To his surprise, the mammoth chuckled again.

"Yes, but I can do more than just talk. Come, we have much to discuss Ethan."

The teen named Ethan widened his eyes.

"How did you know my name?"

"Like I said Ethan, I can do more than talk. After all, I'm the reason why I brought you here."

"You mean you were the one who left me that note?!"

"That's right. The reason why I left you that note was because I wanted to help you Ethan, I know how much you have suffered and have been abused by your father."

That sentence made Ethan somber.

"As much as I wanted to get away from that bastard, he probably knows that I left home already and is pretty pissed and will be ready to take out his anger on me..."

Ethan clutched his arm as his body was visibly shaking.

The mammoth shook his head. "No young child shouldn't go watch you been through. That being said, what if I said there was a way for you to get revenge."

"What do you mean?"

"Follow me Ethan."

The giant mammoth said as he walked in front of Ethan. The teen followed him. As he was walking through the forest, he saw more people like him. He noticed that there were houses, not wooden houses, regular houses you'd see in a neighborhood.

"You're probably wondering what these houses are doing here correct?"

"Y-Yeah."

"You can say I built them."

Ethan heard seagull noises.

"No way, there's a beach as well?!"

Ethan saw a trail that was heading towards yellow sand.

When Ethan walked to the trail, he was shocked to see a large beach, even more shocking was a huge ocean.

"Seriously, what is this place?"

"Like I stated, this is Mobius. It's a sanctuary for children like you."

"What do you mean like me?"

"Hey Mammoth Mogul!"

Ethan jumped when someone appeared in front of him.

The male was older than Ethan, looked to be in his younger 20s. He had brown, and on top of his hair, had a pony tail that looked like a bird's tail feather. The man wore shades. He only wore a green sleeveless top, and wore blue swim shorts.

"Ah Hashiru. Nice for you to come here."

Mogul gestures Ethan. This is Ethan, a new member of our cause.

"I'm sorry, did you say cause?"

Hashiru points at Ethan. "Nice. Hashiru's my name, speed is my game. And trust me bro, if Mogul picked you, then you have a great purpose being here."

"What is Mobius? Why is this here? And who is he?!" Ethen points to Mammoth Mogul.

Hashiru lays his arm on Ethan's shoulders.

"Slow down man. I'll explain it to ya. Mammoth Mogul is our savior. He saved people like me from those people we like to call 'adults', and if you're here, then that means you've been suffering from an adult or two."

"My father...He..."

"Say no more man! Our job is to rescue bros like you from them and bring them here to sanctuary, otherwise known as Mobius."

"How can this place even exist."

"Mogul here created this place. See originally, this was actually an old town that belonged to Mellowbrook. But after Mogul here saw what the adults did to it. He turned the old town into a paradise you see today. He's a wizard!"

"A wizard?"

"Hashiru, I would prefer the term warlock. The term wizard is trivial. The point of all this Ethan is for us to change world to make it a better place for people like you. Which is why I'm going to grant you the power to take revenge against those who have wronged you."

"What type of power?"

"No no no..We can't tell you yet. It will spoil the surprise. We have to have everyone gather and see you as a new member of Team Mobius." Hashiru said with a smile.

"Team Mobius?"

"Yep, in fact, I'm one of the three generals of the team." Hashiru adjusted his glasses while his grin grew.

"Woah, one. Where are the other two."

"You'll meet them soon. For now, let's enjoy the beach."

Hashiru waved at the mammoth. "Catch you later Mogul, right now we'll be catching these waves!"

Hashiru took Ethan to the water.

While Mammoth Mogul stared at them.

"Another person for my cause. It feels wonderful to have so many allies at my feet. Even if they are children."

"Remind me why we're at your house Reinaldo again Reinaldo?" Kick questioned.

Kick, Sally, Alicia, Gunther, Kendall, and Reinaldo were at Reinaldo's garage.

"Don't worry, all will be explained."

Reinaldo was walking through different shelves of stuff until he found a shelf with a small airplane. He opened the front of the airplane and came a button. He pressed a button and to everyone's surprise, an elevator risen from the floor.

"YOU HAVE AN ELEVATOR IN YOUR GARAGE?!" Kick exclaimed Reinaldo just smirked as he fixed his glasses. "Follow me."

Reinaldo entered the elevator. He gestured for the rest to follow suit. The Daredevil shrugged and everyone else entered the elevator with Reinaldo. The nerd pressed a button and the elevator doors closed and the elevator descended. Surprisingly, there was nice elevator music playing in the background.

"So...Why do you have an elevator?" Kendall asked.

"You'll see..."

The elevator stopped as it reached the floor. The elevator doors opened and they was greeted by a black enforced door. Attached to the wall was an eye scanner.

Reinaldo took off his glasses and moved his faced towards the scanner. The scanner scanned Reinaldo's eye. A few seconds and the process was completed.

Scan complete...Welcome Reinaldo!

The black doors opened. And Kick was once again surprised. "WOAH!"

Beyond those doors was a gigantic lab. He saw many things such tubes, cabinets, computers, even robots!

"I can't believe it, this whole time you had your own lab?!" Kendall exclaimed.

"Yes. Are you impressed?" Reinaldo smiled.

"Well...Kind of."

"Reinaldo I have a question, does your parents know you have a lab down here?" Sally questioned.

To Sally's surprise, Reinaldo just laughed.

"Of course not! In fact, this was the old basement before I renovated it. Using my own parent's money!"

Sally gasps.

"How could you do something like that?!" Sally stated surprised.

"Relax, before they noticed I made sure to replace the money I used. I think I remember hacking into that rich kid's account, Gordon Richington as I recall."

"That's even worse!" Sally exclaimed.

"Who cares, that guy has more money than all of the adults make in this town." Reinaldo casually replied.

"Hey! My family owns a restaurant you know. While we're not rich like Gordon, we have more than enough money to go by." Gunther stated.

"Moving on! Kick, let me see that Chaos Emerald Robotnik was looking for." Reinaldo said as Kick tossed him the light blue emerald.

Reinaldo caught it. He placed the emerald on a pillar and a glass cube engulfed the emerald.

"Now that we're here, we need to start running some tests on Gunther!"

"W-What?! Why me?!"

"Don't you get it?! Your species is something extraordinary! If I analyze you, I can figure out why Echidnas look like human beings!" Reinaldo explained.

"I mean, Reinaldo has a point. We still don't know everything about your species Gunther." Kendall added.

"Exactly!"

Reinaldo then held a comedically sized needle.

"Point me to where you want to eject it."

Sally then put the needle down.

"Hold it Reinaldo. We aren't doing anything like that."

"But science!" He argued.

"Look I get being curious is one thing, but desire is another thing."

"Your point?"

"Let's not doing anything hasty yet alright?"

Reinaldo pouted.

"Fine..."

He then turned to Kick.

"Right now we can hold the emeralds that Buttowski has held."

Reinaldo pointed to a pillar.

Kick walked to the pillar and placed the emerald on top.

"I still can't believe gems like those exist. It defies all logic and reasoning." Reinaldo said.

"You just saw me teleport yesterday." Kick said.

"IT STILL DEFIES LOGIC AND REASONING!"

Reinaldo cleared his throat.

"Which is why I'm going to analyze these emeralds and see how they work."

"Knock yourself out, but make sure to return them back to me when you're done." Kick told Reinaldo.

"Of course, speaking of which, you said there were seven of these babies correct?"

Kick nods.

"Then by that logic we need to a way to track all these emeralds before that genius Robotnik finds them first."

"...You're calling the man that tried to kill us a genius?" Gunther questioned.

"Come on! You've got to admit his machines are beautiful."

"NO!" The majority of the group replied.

Reinaldo was taken aback by this. "You people just don't see greatness...Anyway I think I can make a tracker to find the emeralds."

"Umm, no offense Reinaldo, but I can sense Chaos Energy from the emeralds." Kick stated.

"You can? How?" Kendall questioned.

"...It's like the Chaos Energy in my body is attracted to the Chaos Energy emitted from the emeralds. The closer it is, the more likely I can sense it." Kick explained in his own words.

"While that sounds useful, can you sense Chaos Energy from long distances Buttowski?" Reinaldo questioned.

Kick scratched his face. "...No I can't."

"Which is why I have to craft a radar. But the most difficult part will be trying to make a radar sensing Chaos Energy."

"Can you even do that?" Sally asked him.

Reinaldo smirked. "In theory, it should be possible. But the process should take about a week or two at most."

"Thank you, anything to stop Robotnik is important." Alicia said.

"Oh yeah, there's one more thing I've got to show you guys." Reinaldo motioned to one of the Swatbots heads. There were wires attached to the head and a computer.

"I've been trying to hack into its data but I kept getting this."

On Reinaldo's computer, was a logo of Eggman.

"I've kept hitting a firewall."

"Then douse it out with water." Kick stated bluntly.

Reinaldo face palmed.

"No Clarence, a fire wall is a security device that blocks hackers from stealing information silly." Kendall told him.

"Oh! So it's a nerd thing."

"...Yeah, let's go with that." Reinaldo answered.

"So because of this fire wall, you won't be able to find out information about Robotnik and his plans?" Sally asked.

"Yep, I've been trying to hack it all night, but I kept hitting a dead end. If only there was a way to access it. It's not like we have a computer program that can get through this fire wall."

"What if I said we did?"

They all turned to Sally.

"You mean...You're a hacker?!"

Sally sweat-drops.

"No...But I do know someone who can break through this firewall."

"Great. So call this person to help us." Kick said.

Sally smiled.

She reached into her pocket and pulled out a strange device.

"Is that a calculator?" Kick questioned.

"I was just going to ask that." Kendall added.

"No its not a calculator, it is however a friend. Why don't you introduce yourself Nicole."

"...Hello Sally." The calculator spoke with a female voice.

Everyone except for Sally and Alicia were shocked.

"Did that calculator just speak?" Kick said astonished.

"Yes and for the record, I am artificial intelligence, I am not a 'calculator'."

"OH MY GOD!" Reinaldo's eyes were sparkling.

"YOU MANAGED TO CREATE AN AI USING A CALCULATOR?! YOU'RE MORE BRILLIANT THAN I THOUGHT SALLY ACORN!" Reinaldo yelled.

"Ummm...I didn't really create Nicole."

Reinaldo's face turned blank.

"Huh?"

"The truth is, Nicole was created by our best scientist, Nate Morgan." Alicia explained.

Reinaldo's jaw dropped.

"NATE MORGAN?! AS IN THE VERY NATE MORGAN?! THAT GUYS A GENIUS!"

"Who's Nate Morgan?"

Reinaldo slowly twists his head to Kick's direction and walks to him.

"Who's Nate Morgan?...WHO'S NATE MORGAN?! NATE MORGAN IS MAN WHO HAD A DOCTORATE AT AGE 14, THE VERY MAN WHO CREATED ADVANCED ROBOTICS! HAS WON NUMEROUS NOBEL BELL PRIZES!...And he is my hero!"

"Wait, I think I remember reading about him. Didn't he go missing after he turned 20?" Kendall stated.

"The truth is, the Acorn family had recruited Nate Morgan based on his achievements, remember that no one outside the Kingdom of Acorn could know about us. So we had to make sure that he removed any ties with his past." Alicia said.

"Doesn't that seem extreme? Just for recruiting a guy?" Gunther asked.

"In some ways, but the results turned out great because he became a wonderful asset to our Kingdom." Alicia said while smiling.

"He was one of the best scientists we had." Sally added.

"Was?" Kick knew something happened.

Sally frowned. "You see...Nate and Robotnik were once partners."

"NO WAY!" Reinaldo exclaimed.

"It's true, the roboticzer was an invention they both created together. After Robotnik's betrayal, Nate Morgan left the Kingdom of Acorn in shame, never to be heard from again." Sally said in a somber tone.

Reinaldo was now mad. "How dare that man hurt my hero like that?! I now hate Robotnik!"

"Robotnik sent hitmen, his robots shot you with lasers, almost ending your life, and NOW you decide hate him?" Gunther said in shock.

"Enough with this history lesson, let's use the calculator to hack into Eggman's computer." Kick said.

"Very well, and I told you I'm not a 'calculator'!" Nicole shouted.

Sally walked to the computer and leaned Nicole close to it.

"Is she hacking the computer?" Kendall wondered.

"Yes I am. Now depending on the type of firewall Robotnik put, this could take me a few hours, days or-"

The firewall was brought down, and it showed the window.

"A few seconds." Kick said.

Reinaldo looked impressed. "You managed to bypass a firewall in a matter of seconds! Good job Nicole, I could kiss you right now!"

"Please, I don't want you're germs." Nicole shot back.

"Oof. Rejected by a calculator, not your best man." Kick said to Reinaldo while snickering.

"...Let's just see what Robotnik has." Reinaldo spoke in a dejected voice.

"That should be easy considering that this browser has only one file." Sally stated.

"What? That shouldn't be possible, I thought there would be more!...Perhaps because the robot was either damaged beyond repair, or Robotnik decided to leave as little information behind. Either way this is all we got." Reinaldo deduced.

"I'll just click on the file." And Sally did. The file opened up and in it was a video.

"Cool a movie!" Kick thought.

Sally clicked on the play button.

The video starts and Eggman was seen.

"Hi!" The man waived. "For those who don't know, my name is Ivo Robotnik Kintobar!"

"I can't believe it. How is he able to stand with so much fat on his body?" Reinaldo questioned.

"I know, if you saw a closer at the vehicle he was riding, it looked like it was too small for him!" Kick laughed.

"Quiet! We need to see this." Sally said.

'"Now, the reason why you're here is very simple. You have lost your free will and you have no choice but to obey me! How I was able to do this? Observe!"

Eggman reached for a remote in his pocket and pressed something. The floor opened and it revealed to be a tube. But inside the tube was a random man.

"You see him, this is a regular human being."

The man slammed his hands on the glass. "Please! Someone help me!"

"But when I press this button..." When he did, the tube glowed as the man was screaming. To the gang's shock, his whole body was turning metallic.

The doctor had a mad grin on his face. The process was done and the tube opened. The man turned into one of the same robots Kick and Bonnie saw in the forest.

"...He's my new robotic slave!"

I exist to serve the Robotnik empire.

"HOHOHOHOHO!"

The mad man clapped.

He turned back to the screen. "And there you have it folks! My growing army of robots! Your mission is to roboticze every living thing be it human or animal until the whole planet is devoid of free will! HOHOHOHOHOHO!"

In the background was a picture of the Earth, it was slowly turning blue and metallic. And in the center, was the doctor's logo.

"Remember, I'm your only master. You all exist to serve me!"

More robots gathered into the room.

And the video ends.

"I can't believe it..." Sally was stunned.

"Yeah...Isn't that awesome!?" Reinaldo exclaimed.

Everybody in the room stared at Reinaldo in shock.

"Awesome?! He just turned that man into a robot against his free will?! And your telling me that's awesome?!" Sally yelled at Reinaldo as she gripped him by his track suit.

"You've got to admit...The transformation looked cool." The boy squeaked.

"I wonder if you'll be saying that again when you're family is turned into robots and-"

"Sally! Please let him go, he just doesn't know any better." Alicia told her daughter.

Sally breathed before letting go of Reinaldo.

"I'm sorry, it's just that Robotnik really hurt our family in ways you couldn't believe. And if he's here in Mellowbrook, then he won't stop until he'll gain the Emeralds or robotizce this town. Whichever comes first."

"...So how are you going to fight him?" Kendall asked with a worried expression.

Kick smiled. "Simple, we're going to kick his ass so hard that by the time he flies out of Mellowbrook, he'll have a broken ass and that he'll actually have to use vehicle for the rest of his life."

Sally sweat-drops at what Kick said. While Alicia giggles.

"More to the point...If we find the rest of the Chaos Emeralds before Robotnik, we can use their powers and finish Robotnik once and for all." Sally stated with conviction.

"By finish him...You mean you're going to kill him?" Kendall questioned.

Sally stared at them for a moment before blinking. "Oh! Of course not! I'm not like Robotnik. I meant that he'll be spending the rest of his life locked up. We'll make sure he receives justice for all he's done!" Sally pumped her fist in the air.

"Well count me in. There's no way I'll allow anything to happen to my town." Kick said.

"Me too! That prick tried to hurt my family. There's no I'm letting that go!" Gunther stated.

"I'm in too! I can't stand a man who ruined my hero's life!" Reinaldo joined.

They all turned to Kendall, waiting for her speech.

"NO! I'm not joining you guys!"

"What? But why not?!" Reinaldo questioned.

"In case you forgot, I was almost shot yesterday! If it wasn't for Clarence, then I would've been killed!"

"I could've saved you from the Fang cretin." Reinaldo snubbed.

"You pissed your pants the first moment Team Hooligan entered BattleSnax." Kick jabbed.

"I did not!...I was merely scared of being shot." Reinaldo argued.

"That's not much better." Kick deadpanned.

"WELL I'M SORRY MR. I DON'T FEAR ANYTHING! WOULD YOU FREEZE IF YOU WERE IN FRONT OF A GUN!?"

"No. And do you want to know why? Because I don't fear death. If death stops you from achieving your dreams, then what's the point of living?"

Kendall looked down at the floor, pondering Kick's words.

'Looking back, I didn't even try to free myself. He gripped my hair, held a gun to my head, but was that all I could really do? And the only reason I'm alive is because of Clarence. Whatever happened to him made him faster, better, stronger...Handsomer...WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!...If I want to be like Clarence, then I'm afraid I have no choice.'

"I...Changed my mind."

"REALLY?!" Reinaldo looked happy.

"Yes...But on one condition."

"OH! LET ME GUESS! YOU WANT US TO BE A COUPLE AGAIN?!" Reinaldo had hearts for eyes.

"I want Clarence to protect me."

Reinaldo somehow turned to stone. Kick actually looked surprise.

"I'm sorry, what?"

Kendall smiled at Kick. "I want you to protect me. The reason why I'm alive is because of you. You have my thanks Clarence. So I want you to protect me."

"...So, I'm like your bodyguard?"

Kendall blushed.

"N-No! Nothing like that! When I ask that you protect me, I need you to give it your all to make sure I'm safe, can you do that?" She asked while twiddling her fingers.

'Oh my god. First Sally, now Kendall?!' Thought Gunther in shock.

Kick smiled as he gave her a thumbs up.

"You got it."

Sally clapped her hands.

"Great! It seems where a team now! We're going to talk more in detail later, right now just enjoy your day off!" Sally ordered.

Everybody left Reinaldo's lab except for Reinaldo who was still a statue.

"Why?...Him?"

A week has passed and the gang were back in school.

Kick was alone right now as he was attending to his locker.

"BUTTOWSKI!"

"Ah jeeze." Kick turned around to see Mouth glaring at him.

"You have some nerve."

Kick waved at him. "Hey Mouth, it seems they finally removed that dodgeball from your mouth. If only they did something about your annoying voice." He said while smiling.

Mouth's eye was twitching.

"You think this is funny?! I had to spend the rest of my week in the hospital! Eating foods from a tube!"

"No wonder my week was good."

That infuriated Mouth some more.

"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!"

"Why? I wasn't the one who put that dodgeball in your Mouth."

"No! But you allowed that stupid fangirl of yours to do that!"

"You mean Jackie?"

"No, Beyonce, OF COURSE I MEAN WACKIE JACKIE!" Mouth shouted.

Meanwhile, Jackie was walking up behind Kick.

Her suspension was over and she figured sneaking up on Kick would be a great surprise.

"I can't wait for Kick to see me! I wonder what he'll say!?"

"Admit it! The only reason she likes you is because you never told her that she's an annoying bitch!" Jackie heard Mouth.

"Huh?"

"Jackie is a lot of things, but an annoying bitch is not one of them. So I'd be careful what you say unless you want to end up in the hospital again." Kick threatened.

'Kick is defending me?! I knew he had feelings for me!' Jackie turned pink as she covered her mouth in glee.

"And that's the problem! You never tell her the truth. You never tell why people call her Wackie Jackie! She is weird, crazy, psychotic fan girl that has no friends because she drives them away! Nobody not even her parents don't like her!"

Jackie placed a hand on her heart as what Mouth said hurt her.

"That's not true...Kick likes me! Of course he likes me! He is everything I want. I admire him! I love him! There is no way Kick doesn't love me!" Jackie whispered.

"You know what? You're right!"

"Huh?"

"Everything you said about Jackie is true. Frankly, I'm sick of her trying to chase me like some stupid dog. All she ever does is make my life a living hell! She should've got the message when I was 8, but she's so blinded by this one sided love that she's willing do anything to get in my pants. My life would be so much better if she wasn't around, better yet, if she have never existed!"

Jackie was in shock...No, she was in terror. Her long time crush just admitted that he never loved her. And that he is tired of her.

"No...Not my Kick...I'm sure he doesn't mean it."

"You mean it?"

"Of course I mean it! 100% sure!"

Jackie clutched her heart as she felt it break. She couldn't stop the tears flowing from her face.

Without facing Kick, she ran away and exit the school.

Kick walked to the direction where Jackie stood.

"Huh? Thought I heard something."

Outside the school

Jackie was running away from the school...Her house...Anything that reminded her of Kick.

She tripped on something and landed face first.

Jackie looked to see that her glasses had cracked.

She saw herself on the lens. Jackie was now sobbing.

"He doesn't love me!...Of course he doesn't love me! Look at me! How could anyone love someone who look like this!?...Why?! Why doesn't he love me?!"

Sally Acon flashed into her mind. She remembered how she made Kick happy. The image made her sick.

"Of course...It's because of her...It's because of Sally Acon that Kick said those awful things about me!...If only, if only I could get rid of her! Then Kick will be all mine!"

"I can help you dear child."

Jackie turned to the voice and was surprised when she saw a mammoth wearing a suit.

"...I must've gone insane."

Mammoth Mogul chuckled.

"No you haven't dear child. In fact, I'm here to help you."

"...How?"

"Simple, I'm going to grant your deepest desires."

Jackie stared at him. "You mean...You're going to make me beautiful?"

"HAHA! Not only that, but I'm going to give you the power to stop anyone who gets in the way of your love."

"...Does that mean I can get back at the people who hurt Kick? And those that are blinding him from his true love."

"Yes my dear child."

His hand glowed green. He placed his hand on top of Jackie.

A green glow surrounded Jackie.

The glow subsided, leaving Jackie by herself.

She looked at her lens and was stunned by her new appearance.

"I'm...Beautiful."

"Kick are you okay, you look mad?" Gunther asked.

"How can you tell?"

"Well, you're crossing your arms, you have your feet on the table, and you brows are furrowed."

It was true, Kick and his friends were at the lunch table. They all noticed that Kick was in a bad mood.

"It's just that Mouth pissed me off!"

"Wait, isn't he the guy Jackie put a dodgeball in his mouth?" Sally questioned. She still couldn't believe it was possible to shove a dodgeball down someone's throat.

"More importantly, what did he do to make you mad buddy?"

"The asshole insulted Jackie."

Gunther, Kendall, and Reinaldo stared at Kick.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Since when did you start caring about Jackie?" Kendall questioned.

"I don't."

"But you just said that you got angry at Mouth for insulting Jackie." Gunther added.

"So?"

"You don't like Jackie, and yet you got all defensive when Mouth made fun of her." Reinaldo stated.

"I..."

"That means one thing, you do like Jackie!" Gunther said.

"EW! GROSS! NO WAY! I DON'T LIKE HER!"

"I've read somewhere that if people say they don't like someone and react like you're doing right now, then that means that person likes the other." Sally said with a smug look.

"Oh, like with Kick and Kendall." Gunther stated.

"WHAT?!/CLARENCE?!/HOW DARE YOU?!" Kick, Kendall, and Reinaldo yelled at Gunther at the same time.

"Okay okay, let's just go back to the issue with Jackie. Now Kick, what did Mouth say about Jackie?"

"Hmph. He said that the reason she's out of control is because I never tell her how I really feel about her. Can you believe that?"

Once again Gunther, Kendall, and Reinaldo stared at the Daredevil.

"WHAT'S WITH THOSE LOOKS?!" Kick exclaimed with a tick mark.

"Mouth may not know what he's saying all the time, but with you've got to admit that he is right about you and Jackie."

"The only thing right with Mouth is that he's a weasel with no actual friends so he comes with rumors to get people to talk to him."

"Now Kick, that wasn't very nice thing to say to him. Especially behind his back. What if he had heard what you said?" Sally reprimanded him.

"Then he'll take the hint and get an actual life." Kick answered.

'Jeeze, what's his deal?' Thought Sally.

"Surely you two are at least friends."

Kick laughed. "Nope! If he was really my friend, he would've come visited me when I was in the hospital last year, or the very least, send something. A card would've been better than nothing. But you know? It really tells you something when only a few people visit an injured person instead of the majority who were involved in my dirt bike stunt."

"Wait! Is that the accident you were referring to before?!" Sally questioned.

Kick realized he unintentionally spilled the beans.

"It's...None of your business. You weren't even in Mellowbrook until a week ago. Why should you care?"

"Because we're friends now Kick. And if anything happened to you, I want to know why."

Kick bats an eye.

"...You're not going to stop until I tell you won't I?"

Kick sighs.

"Kick if you don't want to tell then you shoul-"

"It's fine Gunther. Sally's cool."

Kick put his feet down as he put his hands in his pockets.

"One year ago, I was dared to ride a dirt bike outside of Mellowbrook. At a place called Mt. Devi. It was raining, everybody from school was there, watching me. When I rode my dirt bike all the way to the mountain, something happened and I fell off my dirt bike, causing me to fall and landed on some heavy rocks and there were some that fell on me as well."

Sally gasped in shock.

"I think that's when I blacked out. When I woke up, I was at the hospital and was told the bad news...And that's it."

"T-THAT'S IT!? I DON'T GET IT!? WHY?! WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING SO DANGEROUS?!"

"Look Sally, it's been a year since that accident. As you can see, everything turned out okay for me."

"B-But what about the people that watched your stunt? Didn't they visit you?"

Kick turned his face away from Sally. "Except for family, only Gunther, his parents, Jackie, Kendall, and Reinaldo visited me. No one else did."

Sally open her mouth in shock and quickly became enraged.

"T-THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE! YOU SAID EVERYBODY FROM SCHOOL WATCHED YOUR STUNT, YET THEY DIDN'T CARE TO VISIT YOU IN THE HOSPITAL EVEN ONCE!?"

"And you want to know something else? He did this because-"

"Gunther please stop. It won't change anything-"

"HE'S THE REASON WHY YOU WENT TO THE HOSPITAL IN THE FIRST PLACE!" Gunther shouted. Scaring Kendall and Reinaldo.

"Who's he?"

"The guy who dared Kick to do that stunt one year ago. His name is-"

"STOP!" Kick had enough of this.

"I keep telling you, it doesn't fucking matter anymore. As much as I want to blame that asshole. I knew the risks and paid for them. But I got better, please don't start something you'll regret."

Gunther remained silent.

"And as for Jackie, she may be a lot of things, but she's not an idiot. I'll admit when I was 8, I couldn't stand her. But overtime, I appreciated her being there to cheer me on. Even after the accident as she sent me many plushies. It was me of course, but the thought counts...What I'm trying to say is that if I really tell her how I feel...Then she'll lose her reason to be happy...And I can't do that to her."

Kick said with a small smile.

"Kick...In some ways, that's very kind of you. But at the same time, you've just been lying to her for 6 years. Despite your attitude, it seems that you like her a lot."

"...I'll admit I do-"

"Then just admit your feelings to her. It's better to tell the truth than lead a lie."

"Yeah! Go ahead and tell her so that she can be your one and only girlfriend!" Reinaldo said.

Kendall shook her head.

"...I'm done talking about this."

Kick got off from his table and walked away from his friends.

"...Has Kick always been this...Like that?"

"No. He wasn't always like this. But Kick definitely changed after he left the hospital." Gunther told Sally.

"I've also noticed quite a change in his behavior in school." Reinaldo added.

"How so?"

"Well, last year Buttowski's academics had improved. Not as good as mine, but regardless it was definitely better than what it was in middle school."

"And around that time he stopped wearing that god awful jumpsuit." Kendall said.

"And...He's been more negative around people he...Didn't like." Gunther said.

"Oh come, I'm sure it couldn't be that bad."

"Once he came back from school. There were some nasty rumors about Kick caused by Mouth."

"Because of his broken legs?"

"Exactly. When Kick heard those rumors, afterschool, he found him and...Beat him up."

"WHAT!?" Sally couldn't believe it. Sure Kick didn't look like the friendliest person, but still, to beat up someone over a rumor is too far!

"Then he threatened Mouth saying that if he ever made horrible rumors about him again, that he'll toss him off of Mt. Devi and see how it feels to have broken legs."

"I can't believe he would do something like that! I get Kick was mad, but that gives him no excuse to hurt and threaten someone like that."

"I know, when Kick told me what he did, I couldn't believe it either. But...Seeing how Kick was upset, I couldn't really tell him what he did was wrong?"

"Why didn't you though!"

"BECAUSE IT WAS HIS FAULT THAT KICK WENT TO THE HOSPITAL!"

"Okay, who is this guy that dared Kick to do that stunt?"

"That would be me."

The gang turned to the voice.

The individual had light green hair in the style of a mohawk, black eyes and a piercing on his left ear. He wore a dark green jacket it was unzipped so you could see his beige shirt. Wore green pants and white shoes. And he was taller than the gang sitting on the table.

"Who are you?"

"Drake Azuma." Gunther spoke with venom.

The individual named Drake grinned, showing his sharp teeth.

"Glad to know my reputation is still known."

"You better get the hell out of here before I-"

Drake waived his hand in front of Gunther.

"Woah! Someone's mad! Relax. I just want to talk to the new student. Sally Acon correct?"

Sally noticed how angry Gunther was with that guy. Regardless she introduced herself.

"Yes, that's my name."

"And you already know my name by now. And I have to say, you've got some big tits unlike Perkins here."

Okay, Sally didn't like this guy already.

"So, I'm guessing you're the person that dared Kick to do that stunt one year ago is that correct?"

Drake scratched his chin.

"Wow, I can't believe it's been a year since Kick's epic fail! I'll never forget that day."

"I need to know something, why did you dare Kick to do something so dangerous?" Sally demanded.

"Well...I'm kind of a big deal here in Mellowbrook. Let's just say I have some connections...Promised Kick if he did the stunt, I'd make sure he would become a big deal."

"INSTEAD YOU MANAGED TO BREAK BOTH HIS LEGS!" Gunther shouted.

Drake shrugged his shoulders. "All I did was tell him to do the stunt, the injuries he received was his own fault."

"Still, you could've visited the hospital, or even sent him a card saying you were sorry!" Sally argued.

"And why would I have wasted my time with something so trivial. If Buttowski was paralyzed for the rest of his life, I wouldn't give a damn."

Sally glared hard at him.

"There's a word for people like you, and that word is a scumbag."

Drake shook his head.

"Listen tits, I don't give a damn if people like you call me a scumbag, all I care about is my image. Because of my family, I own all of Mellowbrook. Adults bend over for me. So I can do whatever the hell I want."

"Then why are you here in this school. You seem a bit old for high school."

"HA! You got me! I'm actually 21! I've been held back a few years. What's this school going to do, expel me?! If they do, I'll just tell my family and bam!..If you catch my drift."

Drake put his hands in his pocket.

"Anyway, I'd love to chat some more, but I got places to be, see ya tits!" Drake waived as he walked away from the table.

"Gunther...That guy is a grade-A asshole." Sally would never say something foul, but in this case, it's needed.

"Exactly."

When school was over, Kick was already home.

"Sally? What are you doing here? And how did you get here before me?"

Sally was in front of Kick's house.

"No need to answer that. Let's come in."

When both teens came in, they were greeted by laughter.

"No way, he didn't..."

"Oh but he did! Kick has always been a curious child."

They saw both their Moms talking to each other.

"Mom?" Kick asked.

Betty and Alicia turned to see Sally and Kick home.

"Hi sweetie, you got back quick, how was school?" Betty asked her son.

"Good, more importantly why are you talking with Sally's Mom?"

"Oh it's a funny story actually. So I was planning on baking a cake, but then I realized I had no sugar. Went door to door until I found your house. I knocked on the door and your mom answered." Alicia said.

"I was surprised to learn that a new neighbor had moved here. So I welcomed her in. She was asking me for sugar and you wouldn't believe it, but I needed sugar too! So I had your father go to the market to get some sugar. In the mean time, we decided to talk and figured out we have so much in common!" Betty said.

"Turns out I'm not the only mom with a problem child." Alicia giggled. Making Sally blush.

"Mom! What did I tell you about embarrassing me?! Sally roared.

"Ah, you must be the Sally Acon your mother told me about. I heard a lot of good things about you. And it seems you also met my son. I apologize if he became too much of a handful."

Now it was Kick's turn to blush. "You say that like I'm some kind of bad luck charm." Kick said embarrassed.

"Oh honey, you know I don't mean it, but you do have a bad track record to be fair."

"The same could be said for my daughter." Alicia added.

"HOLD UP!"

Brianna ran into the room.

"I know you! You're that girl who kissed my brother!"

Kick face palmed while Sally smiled nervously.

"WHAT?! When did this happen?! Betty was now interested.

"It happened on the first day of school." Brianna answered.

"It was an accident! I keep telling you that!" Kick shouted.

"It's true, I follow instagram." Alicia stated.

Betty clapped her hands together. And had a cheeky grin.

"Regardless, you two shared a kiss! I wonder if you too will start dating?"

"MOM! IT'S BAD ENOUGH BRIANNA THINKS SO! NOT YOU TOO!" Kick exclaimed.

"Speaking of which, who is that adorable little munchkin?" Alicia asked.

"That is my only daughter Brianna. And Kick's younger sister."

Sally turned to Kick in surprise.

"Kick, you never told me you had a sibling."

Kick crossed his arms.

"You've never asked. And Brianna's more a kin to a flee than a sister. She's always bugging me."

Alicia laughed at what Kick said.

"Your son is funny. And quite handsome."

"Thank you, he gets his looks from me by the way. The same can be said for your daughter."

"Ah! Thank you! You know it's nice to talk with another woman I can relate to."

"Me too! Apart from Hilda, I never met another woman quite like yourself."

"So is Kick and Brianna your only children."

"No, I also have a son named Brad. He's Kick and Brianna's older brother."

Sally perked up hearing this.

"You have...An older brother?"

"Yep. And he's a pain in my ass." Kick said.

"Kick! What have I told you about cursing in front of Brianna?" Betty chided her son.

"Relax mom, it's not like he used words I don't already know." Brianna stated.

"And that worries me deeply."

Kick cleared his throat.

"Anyway, me and Sally are going upstairs to do our homework."

"Okay sweetie. Have fun." Betty said.

Both teens went upstairs to Kick's room.

"So this is your room."

"Yep. Pretty awesome right? So what should we start wi-Why are you looking at me like that?"

Sally stared at him seriously.

"I know about Drake Azuma."

Kick groans in frustration.

Kick walked to the door and locked it.

"...Just ask what you want to know?" It was clear that Sally wanted answers

"Who is Drake Azuma?"

"Drake Azuma is a delinquent who does whatever he wants and nobody can stop him."

"Why is that?"

"Because his family is yakuza."

"...You mean, organized criminals!?"

Kick nods.

"That's right. I heard that his family moved from this place called the Iron Country. They're a family of criminals that do whatever the hell they want because of their money and power. And no one can say no to them."

Sally clenched her fist in anger.

"There are a few things that truly piss me off. And one of them is abusing your power for your own selfish gain. People like him are scumbags to the world."

"...That's something we can both agree on. I also hate people like that."

"Speaking of which, Gunther told me that Drake dared you to do that stunt last year. I want to know why you did it."

Kick sighs heavily.

"...Drake promised me that if I did the stunt without fail, then he'd make sure I'd be recognized in Mellowbrook as a potential Daredevil. He said he could pull some strings and have famous Daredevils all around the world come recruit me."

"But what if he was lying?"

"Nope. Drake has a few rules he lives by. One of his rules is to always keep his word. Drake never went back on a deal. That's his pride." Kick explained.

"Was it really worth it though...You almost died." Sally said sadly.

"...Like I said Sally, if you're afraid of death, then what's the point of living? Being a Daredevil means defying death itself. I would rather welcome death after achieving my dream, than to live a life full of regret."

A memory played in Sally's mind.

'If I don't take this deal, then Robotnik wins. I'd rather risk everything than regret letting my people suffer for the rest of my life!'

"...Kick that's-"

Both of them heard banging on the window. Kick walked to his window and to his surprise, Brad jumped into his room in a panic.

"CLOSE THE WINDOW!"

"Why?"

"JUST DO IT!"

Kick did as he said and closed the window.

"Okay Brad, what the hell is your de-"

Kick stared at his brother and noticed his arm, it was frozen!

"Oh dear god! I never knew ice could hurt so much!" Brad cried.

He then noticed Sally in the room.

"And why is your girlfriend in here."

"I'M NOT HIS GIRLFRIEND!/SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!" Both roared out.

"WHO CARES! DILWEED! YOUR LUNATIC FANGIRL HAS GONE INSANE!"

"You mean Jackie?"

"No Beyonce, I COURSE I MEAN HER! SHE DID THIS TO ME!" Brad shouted.

"Okay Brad, I know you say stupid shit all the time, but this takes the cake." Kick said.

"I'M SERIOUS! SHE FROZE MY ARM!"

"Hold on! You're saying that Jackie did this to you?"

"Yes! She's after me!"

Both teens got an alert on their phones.

Sally took her phone and saw a news video and played it.

"Breaking news! This is Breezie Chang! There has been reports of victims being frozen. These victims include a former host of the cancelled show Face Plant, a convict by the name Norm Cycle, and the old librarian from Mellowbrook."

A picture showed the people who were incased in ice.

"We don't know if they're still alive, but doctors are doing there best to unfreeze then..." Breezie pressed her ear.

"Really? Two more?"

She turned to the camera. "Two more victims. They go by the name of Weasly and Hancy Blabberton."

Then the image showed two people Brad and Kick recognized. It was Mouth and his older brother!

"Scientists are wondering how ice is possible considering it's September. But there's a possibility some criminal is trying to freeze people. Breezie Chang will be back with more news."

"I can't believe it." Sally stated in shock.

"I know...Mouth's real name is Weasly?"

"Focus! There's someone who's freezing innocent people!"

"Define 'innocent'."

Sally glared at Kick, making him shut up.

"Who is doing this though?"

"I told you! It's Jackie! And now she got Hancy! Poor, poor, Hancy."

"And Mouth too right?"

"Yeah sure." He said nonchalantly.

Kick crossed his arms.

"Okay Brad, now I know this isn't coincidence. Explain what happened."

"Alright Dilweed, it happened like this...

Flashback

Brad was walking home from college.

"Can't wait to get home and watch the lumberjack channel."

"There you are Brad..." When Brad heard a feminine voice, his eyes turned to hearts.

"Oh! Is that the voice of a fair...Maiden?" Brad turned around to see Kick's favorite fangirl. But something was clearly different about her.

She had light blue hair done in a young princess style. Her sideburns were shaped like rhombulus and they were light blue. She also had light blue fox ears and inside her ears were teal. She also had a tail that was light blue with the tip of her tail being teal. And her eyes were strange. She had crystal dark eyes with teal sclerae can be seen. As for her clothes, she wore a long white kimono with a red band around her waist. Her hands were covered by her long sleeves.

"Hello Brad. It's ice to finally meet you."

'Holy crap she's hot! If only she was my age!'

"Aren't you Dilweed's fangirl?"

"KICK! HIS NAME IS KICK! And yes I'm his fangirl or was his fangirl." Jackie stated.

She then stepped forward with each step.

Brad then noticed that each step she took, made the road freeze.

"What the fuck?"

"Oh, so you noticed? My new powers and beauty."

"What happened to you?"

"I had a realization...My Kick would never love me as I was before. I was an ugly caterpillar. But now...I'm a beautiful butterfly!"

"So...Why are you here? Unless your interested in me, no offense, but I don't date girls your age-"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP! THE ONLY PERSON THAT I WANT INSIDE ME IS KICK BUTTOWSKI!...And besides, I'm here for revenge."

"R-Revenge?"

"Yes. You see, I'm going after the people who made my Kick miserable...And you're on top of that list."

"O-Okay, I'll admit I may rough him off a little bit but-"

Jackie shook her head.

"I've seen what you've done to Kick. You constantly prank him, belittle him, beat him, humiliate him, or all together with your group of lackeys. And frankly I'm sick of it!"

Jackie placed a hand on a pole tower, Brad saw that it quickly became incased in ice.

Brad was now scared.

"L-Look I'll apologize to Dilweed an-"

"STOP CALLING HIM DILWEED! IT'S KICK! SERIOUSLY! WHAT IS EVEN A DILWEED!?" Jackie appeared in front of Brad and grabbed his arm. As soon she did, Brad's arm starting freezing.

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!" Brad cried out in pain.

"Ah! Scream louder! This is what you get for hurting Kick. After I'm done with you, I'll get that bitch Sally Acon next."

"LOOK! KICK IS RIGHT THERE BEHIND YOU!"

"REALLY?!" Jackie lets go of Brad as she turns around only to not see her beloved Kick.

"I don't see Kick, are you sure-"

Brad had already ran away from Kick.

"...GET BACK HERE BRAD BUTTOWSKI!"

Flashback End

"And that's what happened." Brad finished explaining.

Kick was in deep thought when something occurred to him.

"Now I get it. She's going after the people who made me the most miserable. That host from Face Plant, Norm, the librarian...Actually she did the world a favor by doing so...Mouth and Horace, wait what about Hancy?"

"Hancy on an extended family trip so he should be back by next week." Brad explained.

"And she's after me." Sally said.

"You should be fine Sally, she won't hurt you as long as you're with me...I hope."

"Kick, is there anyone else that Jackie wants revenge on?"

"Nope. I mean I think she got everyone in Mellowbrook apart from..."

Kick's eyes shrank as he figured out Jackie's next target.

"KENDALL!"

Without saying anything, Kick opened the window and jumped out from his room.

Sally turned to Brad.

"Listen to me, go to the bathroom and run hot water to unfreeze your arm. Don't tell anyone about this."

"Fine...And, could you watch Kick for me. Seeing Horace and his brother...I don't want anything to happen to him." Brad told Sally with fear in his voice.

"Ah, it seems you do care for your brother." Sally smiled.

"W-Whatever! I'm telling you so because you're his girlfriend!"

"I'M NOT HIS GIRLFRIEND!" Sally shot back.

Sally followed Kick.

Kendall was in her room, doing her homework only to meet a sudden chill in the room.

"Damn...Why is it so cold?"

"Because I'm here to make sure you have an ice time!"

Kendall slowly turned to what appeared to be an ice angel, if an ice angel had a crazed smile on her face. Kendall immediately recognized as Wackie Jackie. "Hello Kendall!"

Jackie's hand emitted an icy aura.

"Can you do me a favor and stay still so I can turn you into a Kendcicle?" Jackie grinned darkly.

J-Jackie is that you!?" Kendall questioned.

"Yep! It's the new and sexier me! And I've seen you've gone through quite a change too. Though your boobs are still smaller than mine!"

Kendall covered her breasts. "S-Shut up! Anyway why are you floating? Why is your hair light blue? Why are you...This?" Kendall gestured her whole body.

"I shouldn't really say...But since this is the last time I'm going to talk to you, I'll frost-bite." She cackled to herself.

'Dear lord.' Thought Kendall.

"Before I was this nerdy girl who wore glasses, had braces, and had ridiculous clothing! But now I'm a beautiful snow angel that will win the heart of Kick Buttowski!"

"What?! If this is about Clarence then why am I involved?" Kendall questioned.

Jackie crossed her arms while shaking her head. "Like you don't know."

"I don't!"

"You obviously have the hots for Kick!"

"WHAT?!" Kendall shouted. She formed an x using her arms.

"Me...In love with Clarence Buttowski!? I would rather go back to doing stunts by accident than admitting I have feelings for that idiot."

"Oh please. You know you like like Kick. I've seen it. Like that time you and him held hands together for the entire!"

"HOW DID YO-That never happened!" Kendall denied. It was an embarrassing situation she did not want to recall.

"Then what about that time you and him danced in front of the whole school!?" Kendall couldn't deny that.

"Or even that time you ran for class president BECAUSE of Kick!"

"I...That was because...You can't prove anything!" Kendall didn't notice she was blushing.

"You can deny it! But you want to take Kick for yourself!"

An ice cold aura surrounded her. "And I will not allow that to happen!"

Jackie in that moment shot out of beam.

Time slowed down for Kendall as she saw the beam coming to her.

Her instincts told her to dodge. So she jumped out of the bed to avoid the beam. What Kendall didn't account for was the speed she gained from that jump. Which was important because she jumped through her window which was luckily opened. Unlucky because Kendall realized that she just jumped out from her window.

"AHHHH!" Kendall screamed as she was falling to her doom.

She closed her eyes only to meet hands. When she opened her eyes, she blushed as she saw Kick holding her in a bridal position.

"Sup. Glad I could catch your stunt." Kick quipped.

"Kick! I see you found Kendall." Sally ran to the the two as Kick put Kendall down.

"Sally? What's going on?"

"Okay don't freak out, but Jackie's trying to kill you and Sally because she wants me."

"WHAT?!" Kendall exclaimed.

"Kendall what did I just say?" Kick stated.

He then grabbed both Sally's and Kendall's arms and ran.

"I think I can make a break out of Mellowbrook and come up with a plan to stop her before she-"

Kick halts to a stop when ice erupted from the ground, blocking his view. He turned around to see another wall of ice surrounding the trio. Two more walls of ice formed, trapping the trio in a cube of ice.

"...Traps us."

"Clarence! Use the Emerald to teleport us out of here." Kendall said frantically.

"Can't I left the emeralds with Reinaldo." Kick explained.

The trio felt cold winds as something transparent went through the walls. It then became visible, revealing Jackie.

"Hello Kick."

Kendall went behind Kick while Sally stood her ground. Kick however couldn't help but stare at Jackie in her new appearance.

'Brad was not kidding when he said she looked different. If I wasn't in a life or death situation right now, I could call her hot.'

Jackie smiled.

"I can see that you're admiring my beautiful new body. Do you like it?" Jackie then winked.

"YES!...I mean...You're pretty...I'm..." Kick was blushing as he was flustered.

"I'm so glad to hear those words from you. After I'm done freezing Kendall and Sally, there would be no one that would stand in the way of my true love!"

Sally walked in front of Kick and Kendall.

"Jackie. Why are you doing this? You're freezing innocent people."

"The correct word would be non innocent-"

Sally once again glared at Kick. She looks back at Sally.

"Just tell us why you're doing this."

"It's because you two stole my Kick from me! I remember when you and Kick walked to school together. He was more happy than he was with me. And you!"

She points to Kendall. "M-Me?!"

"That's right! I remember all those times you put down Kick for being himself! What makes me truly mad is that you use that as an excuse to get close to him! Admit Kendall Perkins, you have a crush on Kick Buttowski!"

Kendall looked away as she was sweating bullets at Jackie's proclamation.

Kick stared at Kendall in shock.

'If this was the same Kendall, she would've denied in front of Jackie. Frozen or not...But she's not...Which means...'

"And then there's you miss Sally Acon. Ever since you moved her. You've managed to make Kick forget about me! And the answer is simple, you're in love with him!"

"What?!"

"Don't 'what' me! I've seen you two together for a whole week now! Talking, laughing, smiling! It's almost as if you two were dating." Jackie stated.

"While I won't deny that, me and Kick just became friends. And that's it.

"Enough of your lies! What matters is that I'm going to turn you two into ice, smash you into pieces, and then use your remains as ice cubes for my drinks."

"Can you do that? Because if you could that would actually be cool."

"FOCUS!" Sally slapped the back of Kick's head.

"SHE'S TRYING TO KILL US!"

"KICK!" Kendall ran up to Kick behind him.

Kick looked at Kendall and smiled.

"You got it. I'll do whatever I can to protect you."

This however made Jackie mad.

"STOP MAKING HIM YOURS! HE'S MINE! ALL MINE!"

Jackie formed ice in her hands as she shot a beam of ice at the trio.

Kick grabbed Kendall while Sally moved out of the way of the blast.

They saw that the ground got incased in ice.

'Damn it. If only I had my emeralds with me, I could stop her easily. But then again, I like a challenge.'

"Jackie, I don't want to fight you. But if you're going to fight my friends, then I'll have no choice."

"I don't want to fight you either Kick. But those two stand in the way of our love, so I'm afraid that I'm going to have to kill him for us." Jackie cackled before disappearing in front of them."

Sally looked alarmed while Kendall panicked.

"Did she just turn invisible?" Sally questioned.

She then felt something cold behind her neck.

"I got you..." A dark tone called out to her.

Sally's eyes shrank as she turned to see Jackie holding Sally's neck with her arm.

Kick looked shocked, so did Kendall.

"Jackie don't do it!" Kick begged.

"I'm sorry Kick, but this is the only way..." Jackie said as Sally felt the warmness leave her body as her neck started to get incased in ice.

Jackie would've continued if she hadn't felt something hit her back.

She lets go of Sally as she turns to the floor and looked at a shoe.

Jackie turned around and saw Kendall without one of her shoes.

Kendall's brave face shattered when Jackie stared at her with a cold look.

"You know...Except for Sally, you are the one person I despised the most..."

In Jackie's palms, she was materializing something made of ice.

"I've always wondered why you go out of your way to hurt Kick as much as possible. When it comes to doing stunts, school work, or anything in general. You always acted like your better than him...Scratch that, you always act like you're better than us in general!"

In Jackie's hand was a sword.

Kick ran to Sally.

"You okay?" Kick said concerned.

Sally touched her neck.

"Don't worry, she didn't freeze it all the way...God I feel cold."

"You always seemed to have this air around you. Kendall Perkins, miss little perfect! You make it your mission to tell everyone that! But look at you now! Here you are, scared and shivering. If you're really as brilliant as you say you are, then you would've figured out how to stop me. Instead, your best solution was throwing a shoe at me!"

Kendall for the life of her was terrified. Her back against the wall as she was hyperventilating. The air of death was around her yet again.

"Once I get rid of you and that bimbo! Kick will finally be happy!" Jackie laughed.

Kick's eyes hardened.

Some blood hit the ground.

Jackie was sure she hit Kendall. When she looked up. Her eyes shrank and she dropped her sword.

Kendall also looked terrified at what happened, so did Sally.

Kick was in between Jackie and Kendall. The sword actually nicked Kick's back.

"Kendall...You alright?" Kick smiled.

Kendall looked down to see that Jackie's blade hat cut Kick, evidence with some blood on the sword.

"Clarence...Clarence...You..." Kendall was tearing up.

Sally shivered at the scene. Something in her mind came up.

'Elias...Why?...'

"AGHHHHH! NOOOOOO! WHY?! WHY?!" Jackie clutched her head.

"That...That...THAT WAS MEANT FOR HER! NOT YOU! I...I...I...Hurt you..."

Jackie lost the feeling in her legs as she crouched down.

"Why?...I did all of this, so that you would be happy...I thought if I got back at the people who made you miserable...You would be happy, you would be happy with me...And we would finally be together...And you wouldn't hate me anymore."

Kick turned to Jackie looking concerned.

"Hate you? What are you talking about?"

"...Are you trying to make a fool out of me? You said it!"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"DON'T LIE TO ME!"

She shot up and held Kick by the shirt.

"I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT ME! YOU SAID TO MOUTH THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOU IF I NEVER EXISTED! YOU HATED ME! YOU ALWAYS HATED ME! IT'S WHY YOU'VE NEVER TOLD ME THE TRUTH OF YOUR FEELINGS!"

Kick was taken aback by this and then his face struck in realization.

"Wait a minute. I think I know what you're talking about."

"...So you admit it, you never liked me."

"Hold on Jackie, there's been a misunderstanding. While it's true that I talked to Mouth about you. I never once said I despised you."

Jackie tilted her head.

"I'll explain it to you."

Mouth reached into his wallet and pulled out a twenty. Kick snatched it and dropped Mouth.

"And tell anyone what transpired here...And I'll throw you off that mountain!" He sang as Mouth ran away.

Kick walked to the direction where Jackie stood.

"Huh? Thought I heard something."

"And that's what happened...If I'd known you were listening, I would've came running to you."

Jackie pondered at what Kick said and she looked to the ground in guilt.

"...All this time, I thought I knew everything about you...Turns out that wasn't the case."

Jackie suddenly tackled Kick to the ground.

"Hey what are-"

He felt a drop of liquid on his face.

He looked to see his fangirl crying.

"Because of me...You almost lost your life...I almost killed you over a misunderstanding!...I'M SO STUPID!"

"...Jackie, you're not stupid. None of what happened was your fault."

Jackie wiped her eyes.

"Of course, I don't harbor any hate towards you...I never did."

She picked him up.

"AH! THAT'S RIGHT! YOU HAVE A CUT ON YOUR BACK!"

"Oh! Don't worry about that. You see I can heal really fast."

"...What?"

"Observe."

Kick turned around to show her his back.

Jackie looked astonished as the wound she caused was already closing up.

"W-WHAT?! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!"

Kick smirked.

"You're not the only one with powers."

Kick walked up to Kendall.

"You okay?"

"..."

"Kendall it's alright. I'm okay."

Kendall hugged Kick as she started sobbing.

"You saved my life again...But you almost..." She choked the last part of her sentence.

"Come on Kendall, I'm Kick Buttowski. Nothing is stopping me." Kick smiled.

Kick turned to Sally who ran to him. And hugged him tightly.

"Kick! Are you okay?!"

"Sally I'm fine!"

"But you just took a cut to the back with a sword. It needs to be treated right away."

"Yeah...I never told you guys yesterday, but I also have another ability and that's healing."

"What do you mean?"

"Observe."

Kick picked up the ice sword and brought it near his face.

"What are you..."

Kick nicked his face with the sword, a vertical cut appeared on his face as blood oozed from it.

The three of them were in awe when they saw the cut on Kick's face closed itself until the cut was no longer on his face!

"T...That's impossible." Sally knew Kick had many secrets, but him having healing abilities was not one of them.

"See! It's okay. Even if Jackie had pierced through my body, it wouldn't have made a difference as long as I can heal!" Kick stated.

"...So that's why you threw yourself in danger?...That's stupid." Sally said in a low voice.

"What do you mean?"

Sally looked up and quickly changed her expression.

"That is something you'll need to bring up with the team next time. For now, let's get out of here. But before we do that, someone here has to apologize to Jackie here."

"Of course, Mouth."

"Yes, but that's not who I'm referring too."

"Ah! Anyone who Jackie froze because they're all assholes. Especially the librarian!"

Sally had a blank look. "Seriously?! Come on Kick! It shouldn't be hard!"

"YOU!" Sally points an accusing finger at the Daredevil."

Sally turned to Jackie. "Actually Jackie, how did this happen to you?"

"Actually Sally's right. I feel like what happened today was partially my fault." Kick admitted.

Kick breathed heavily as he put his hands in his pockets.

"I'm sorry for never telling you how I really felt. It's just that I imagined that if I did, you'll lose all reason and motivation for your happiness. I always thought you always cheered for me because of me being Daredevil, I can see that in a way, I didn't understand you either."

Jackie placed her hands over her mouth as she blushed.

A petrified Reinaldo was flabbergasted at what he saw.

"I...But...You...With him...I...THIS IS A NIGHTMARE! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Reinaldo then ran away.

Kick and Kendall entered Gunther's house.

Only Gunther and Sally were there. Though Reinaldo was in a corner, rocking to himself. Kick and Kendall stared at him.

"Yeah, when he came in. He was in tears and walked to the corner. He's been like that ever since." Gunther told them.

"I saw something...Something I'll never ever forget." Reinaldo muttered.

"So where have you guys been and...Are you two holding hands?" Gunther had to made sure he wasn't seeing things. Because he was sure that Kick would never hold Kendall's hand and Kendall would never hold Kick's hand unless they've been through a funny situation.

Kick blushed as he looked away from his best friend.

"Let's not go there okay."

Gunther didn't need time to put two and two together.

" .God...You two are a couple now!"

"OHHHHH! IT HURTS!" Reinaldo cried out.

"...Guess we can't hide it anymore. Yeah, me and Clarence are now a couple." Kendall smiled.

"After the whole ordeal with Jackie." Kick answered.

"Wait, what about Jackie?" Gunther questioned.

"Glad you asked!" Said a familiar voice.

"Look, I know I shouldn't told her. But I think she'll make a wonderful asset to the team. And plus she's my girlfriend now, so had to let her know what we're facing."

That sentence made Kendall and Jackie blush, while Gunther stared at Kick for using those words in a sentence.

"Great! Are you going to unfreeze it?" Gunther asked Jackie.

"Yeah...I only know how to freeze things, not unfreeze them."

"WHO'S GOING TO EXPLAIN TO MY PARENTS ABOUT THE FROZEN FIRE PLACE?!"

"I've just realized something." Kick stated.

"What about it?" Sally asked.

"We don't have a team name yet."

"So?"

"Well in order to fight Eggman, we're going to need a team name."

"Huh. That makes sense. What do you suppose our team name will be?"

Kick grinned.

"Team...Phoenix."

"..Do tell why you chose that name."

Kick crossed his arms as he had a huge smile.

"A phoenix means undying. Not even death itself can stop the Phoenix. Each of us no matter the circumstances, came back better and stronger than ever. We're a team who will over come death no matter what obstacle throws at us."

Sally couldn't help but feel speechless at what Kick said.

She then smiled. "Well said."

"Dude, that was awesome." Gunther said.

"..I guess even you can say something smart every know and then." Reinaldo said.

"Clarence...I think that's wonderful." Kendall said.

"I can relate cause I was reborn!" Jackie said.

"Actually, we're not complete yet."

"Huh?" They all turned to Kick.

"We need one more person on our team to make it official. A group of 7."

"Why 7?" Sally asked.

"Cause 7 means luck. If we have 7, then we're unstoppable!" Kick answered.

"...If we're fighting robots, then I guess we're going to need all the luck we're going to get." Kendall stated.

"Wait, what about my mom, or Gunther's parents."

"No offense Sally and Gunther, we don't need old people in our team."

'If my Mom/Parents heard what you just said.' Thought Sally and Gunther.

"In other words, a team filled with youth?" Reinaldo answered.

"That's right. Team Phoenix against the world!" Kick exclaimed.

"Then that brings me to one more question, who will lead the team?" Sally questioned.

"Simple, you will." Kick points to Sally.

"M-Me?! Why? You were the one who came up with the name of our team!"

"Yeah, but being the leader type isn't how I roll. I picked you because I trust you."

"Ah! How nice of you."

"That and I get to see a nice view of your fat ass when you're leading us." Kick joked.

Kick had his head pounded to the ground with a large bump on his head. Sally's fist was smoking as it had a tick mark.

Only Reinaldo smiled at the scene.

A man was watching tv in the living room.

There were beer bottles littered on the ground.

"Damn it...Where the hell is that boy...I'm going to beat his ass..."

The door opened as a figure walked in.

The man heard the door open.

"About time you dragged your ass in this house Ethan! I ought otta beat the hell out of you for-AGGHHHHHHHH!"

He didn't finish when a sharp claw pierced his face. Blood leaking from the wound.

The figure revealed to be Ethan, though his arm looked similar to a lion's.

Another claw pierced his chin, going through his mouth.

"You're the reason I suffered...You're the reason why Mom left...You're the reason why I have these powers in the first place!"

A green aura surrounded Ethan as he started changing. His father was horrified to see that his son turned into a towering monster.

"I've always...Wanted to kill you...But I was too weak...Now...I finally have a chance!" Ethan's voice boomed deeper. He was now a lion humanoid with beige fur and a brown mane.

Ethan's father looked to the ground and saw the beer bottles. He picked one up and smashed it against his son's face. It didn't even face Ethan.

"Weak. Time to end this."

"Please Ethan...No...STOOOOOPPPPPP!"

As the tv was playing, mounts of blood sprayed it.

"AGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Outside the house...

Mammoth Mogul was listening in.

"Ah! Music to my ears." He sang.

"So this is the new sucker you chose."

Mammoth Mogul turned to the figure.

"Yes."

"So what about the other one? Kick Buttowski's fangirl?"

"Ah yes her. Unfortunately, Kick persuaded her to join his cause."

"Buttowski...I can't believe a year has passed and he's changed so much."

"I know what you're thinking, you will not have him join Team Mobius."

"...Of course boss. But what I don't understand is why you want that Gunther guy and not Kick."

"I know what I'm doing as always."

"But if he joins...He already hates me for what happened one year ago."

"It won't matter, he'll join us. He just needs an awakening."

"Whatever you say boss."

"One more thing."

"Yeah boss?"

"You are one of the generals of Team Mobius."

"Yes..."

"So don't even think of getting fritzy with Sally Acorn. The sword is the true objective of Team Mobius."

"Alright."

"So if she suspects anything, you'll suffer...Drake Azuma."

Drake nods.

"...I never got to say this...But thank for back then." Drake said.

"...Just return to base."

Ethan walked out of his house covered in blood.

"...I did it. I KILLED HIM!" Ethan laughed.

Mammoth Mogul smiled.

"You did my child. I'm very proud of you. Now you're a member of Team Mobius."
