CHAPTER 006 – DISCUSSIONS

Several of UA's teachers were in the middle of a meeting with Nezu while inside the principal's office. The first day of the school year had finished and they were getting an update from the hybrid animal on many important topics. From the events they were planning to host, the special guest appearances from certain pro heroes and more.

Right now they were getting an update on the dorms. "…and the new security system is everything that we hoped for and more. It's coming along beautifully," finished Nezu with a smile.

All of the teachers there smiled, glad to hear the news. "That's good. That's one less thing we have to worry about," remarked Hizashi.

"How was the warp user discovered?" asked Nemuri.

"By complete accident!" answered Nezu cheerily, making all of the teachers there frown. Before they could ask, he explained. "A citizen's door security camera barely caught a glimpse of a swirling black mass near the local police station several weeks ago. And then shortly afterwards, the station had experienced a power outage and when the system came back online, several of their prisoners were gone without a trace."

"Yeah, that's not a coincidence," remarked Midnight.

Many agreed with her, whether vocally or by nodding their heads. "Exactly my thoughts. And that is why we decided to upgrade the dorms' security systems first against such unwanted appearances before the other buildings. We don't want our students vulnerable while resting," stated Nezu and he turned to look at Power Loader. "Speaking of which, how are they coming along Higari?"

"Everything is going well for the most part," answered Higari and Nezu raised his eyebrows, making him let out a sigh. "I would've been done by tonight but one of my first year students decided that one of her inventions didn't have enough personality and gave it too much power and it exploded. I'm still cleaning up and repairing the main support classroom," he revealed and he received sympathetic looks along with some chuckles from his fellow teachers. "I just have a few more tests to run and it'll be done by Wednesday evening."

Nezu remained silent for a moment. "I would've preferred it to be done by tonight but since the students haven't moved in yet, that's alright. I would like to join you during the tests, so please let me know when you do so," he requested and Power Loader nodded. "Well, since one of our new students was brought up, how are the first years? What impressions do we have of them so far?" asked Nezu.

"There's some who definitely caught my eye. They might even be a great snack," remarked Nemuri with a lick of her lips.

"Down girl!" joked Hizashi while the rest gave her exasperated looks, but she merely smirked.

"Moving on from Midnight's insatiable…and questionable appetite…" started Higari.

"Hey!"

Nemuri's outburst was ignored as Higari continued. "…most of my students show promise. But there is one who could rival even me. Perhaps even surpass me," he said, making them all become surprised at this bit of news. "If only she would just slow down a bit, then she wouldn't make so many trivial mistakes that end up causing her experiments to explode…"

"Ah, so it's the enthusiastic one then?" asked Nezu and Power Loader gave a reluctant nod. "Hmm, interesting. Then again, all geniuses tend to have some…quirks…about them." His statement made his staff groan at his joke but he still chuckled. "Well, perhaps if we give her an important assignment she might be willing to give more care to it and not rush it so much. What's the student's name?"

"Mei Hatsume."

Nezu pulled up her profile on his computer, which also appeared on the large screen behind him so his staff could see her profile as well. An image of a young, short, curvy woman that had pink dreadlock hair and green yellow cross like eyes was shown on the screen. Nezu quickly scanned through her profile, quickly reading the old school notes. "Hmm, I see. High grades and with a very eccentric personality. Yes, I think that'll be the best course for her." Turning to his support course teacher, he spoke. "Power Loader, inform Miss Hatsume that if she behaves and doesn't cause anymore disruptions in class for the rest of the week, then we'll give her an important assignment sooner than planned."

Letting out a sigh, Higari agreed. "Alright."

"Wonderful." Nezu turned to where the two first year hero class teachers. One was seated and wide awake while the other one was inside his sleeping bag and lying down on the ground. He was paying attention but had his eyes closed. "So, Eraserhead and Vlad King…any students that gave more of an impression than the rest in your class?"

"Are we talking good impressions or bad impressions?" questioned back Vlad.

"Both," replied Nezu with a smile.

"If that's the case, then yeah I do. I actually have several to keep an eye on," answered Vlad, looking at his clipboard that he brought with him from the quirk assessment tests since he also made some notes on it as well. "They all show a good grasp on their quirks and what they can do with it. But of course a few outshined the rest. For starters, Setsuna Tokage…"

Hearing the student's name, Nezu pulled up her profile on his computer. All of them in the room saw a young woman with shoulder length dark green hair giving a confident sharp toothed smile on the screen. "Her use of her quirk, Lizard Tail Splitter, is phenomenal. Her recommendation entry into the school was warranted. Allows her to spilt up her body into a dozen parts and control each one remotely. Haven't seen such delicate control with someone's quirk for a long time. Scored highly in most of the assessment tests and puts in effort. Doesn't view herself better than others and gets along with most. However, she doesn't like it when people try to control her. Plus she's a little too open with her joking around and teasing people, which is causing tension with one of her classmates."

"Is that so? What happened?" asked Midnight for everyone, since they were all interested to know why.

"For starters, during her turn of introducing herself, she said some stuff that implied towards sexual things before she pulled a prank of beheading herself. More than half the class freaked out."

"Hahaha! I love this girl!" exclaimed Midnight, making a mental note to keep an eye on this new student and possibly teach her some of her tricks to use in the future.

The other teachers either chuckled lightly or outright laughed along with Nemuri. Nezu sported a very entertained smirk on his face. "Yeah, yeah laugh it up. But one of my student's didn't like it. And she was actually involved in an argument with Tokage that I overheard from the hall before I entered the room and started class. Ibara Shiozaki."

Nezu had her profile up next and the image changed, showing a young woman with long green hair that seemed to be made of vines holding her hands in a prayer position in front of her chest. "Also has great control over her quirk, Vines, which is basically her hair. Can grow very long, use it for offense or defense and very versatile and strong. Genuine in wanting to help people and do her best. But, is a devout Christian and allows her beliefs to control her mindset and behavior. Argued with Tokage about her mischievous ways and wanted to 'save' her by bringing her back into the 'light'," explained Vlad.

Midnight clicked her tongue. "Always the religious ones. Then again, they're the biggest freaks if and when they allow themselves to let go," she added afterwards with a sinister grin.

Most in the room shook their heads at her while Nezu simply kept smiling and Vlad pinched the bridge of his noise while letting out a sigh. "Please don't corrupt my students."

"No promises."

Vlad glared at her before moving on. "Anyways, I have a few others I'd like to mention…"

A grumble was heard from the floor and all eyes went towards it. "Are you going to talk about all your students?" asked Shota from within his sleeping bag on the floor. "Because I'm pretty sure we all have better things to do than to hear you complimenting your students all day when they haven't done anything for it."

"Just because you'd rather sleep all day doesn't mean we're the same," growled out Vlad. "And heaven forbid you actually compliment one of your students for a change."

Shota however ignored that remark and just snuggled into his sleeping bag more. "I haven't expelled any yet since they all show at least a little potential. That's compliments enough," countered Shota.

Before Vlad could argue further, Nezu spoke up. "Well, Shota, how about you tell us about some of your students then, since you decided not to expel any of them." Hizaki, Nemuri, Higari and Vlad all exchanged a smirk after Nezu spoke, as they watched their fellow teacher grumble for a bit.

Lifting himself up into a sitting position while still in the sleeping bag, Shota glared at the principal for a full three seconds before elaborating. "Like I said, my students show potential so I didn't expel any. Yet. A few have exceptional quirks and can be real assets in the real world if they hone it. However, they all show some issues that they must deal with. I have four problem children that need to address their issues if they want to get anywhere in the hero world."

"Oh? And who are they?" asked Nezu for them all, with the other teachers also curious.

Letting out a sigh first, Shota then answered. "Shoto Todoroki. Quirk is Half Cold, Half Hot. Anti-social and refuses to use his fire side. Katsuki Bakugo. Quirk is Explosion. Battle maniac with superiority and inferiority complexes. Minoru Mineta. Quirk is Pop Off. Biggest pervert I've ever seen and came into the hero course to get girls."

While Shota spoke about his students, Nezu brought up each of their profiles and they all saw who he was talking about. "I see. Todoroki was welcomed through recommendation on Endeavor's behalf. Good grades and is incredibly advanced in his ice quirk. No notes on his fire though. Hmm." Nezu moved on to the second one. "Bakugo has high grades and knows how to use his explosion quirk very well. Has a spot free record. A little too clean. Interesting." Nezu then moved on to the third one. "Mineta has average grades and his quirk is very versatile and he does know how to use it, but only basic applications. And there are several notes about his pervasive behavior." Nezu moved his gaze away from the screen and looked at his staff. "We should definitely temper their bad sides and get their issues resolved as quickly as possible. It would be a shame to have such capable people with such interesting quirks get expelled and go down darker paths," stated Nezu with everyone there agreeing with him.

"What about you, Vlad? Any problem children as Shota likes to say?" joked Hizashi, making the later roll his eyes.

"Well, I would've mentioned them eventually if I wasn't cut off. But don't worry, I'll make these quick so you can have your beauty sleep." Glaring at Shota, who didn't care at all, Vlad turned his gaze back to the rest. "Togaru Kamakiri. His quirk is Razor Sharp, which allows him to generate blades from anywhere on his body. Likes to fight and compete a little too much and thinks most others are beneath him. One other student of mine whose name is Neito Monoma also has issues. His quirk is Copy and that allows him to copy other people's quirks as long as they're not mutant or transforming types for five minutes. Has severe inferiority complex and wants to do anything to show he and his classmates are better than their sister class…"

"And I wonder who set him up for that?" said Shota sarcastically.

Becoming angered, Vlad was about to say something when Nezu cut him off. "Gentleman, please refrain from interrupting each other unnecessarily. We must finish this meeting and there's still more to do afterwards."

Both Vlad and Shota glared at each other before the former continued. "Anyway, those two, along with Tokage and Ibara I'll have to keep an eye on and make sure they don't cause issues. But, I do have two students who gave me good impressions. Itsuka Kendo and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu…"

"That's a mouthful and not the good kind," commented Midnight while Nezu loaded their profiles on the computer and the screen portrayed the two.

Groaning at her pervasive joke that wasn't even that good, most of them let out annoyed sounds while she laughed and Nezu just kept up his traditional eerie smile. "As I was saying…" started Vlad. He had a frustrated tone of voice since he was annoyed over being interrupted again. "While listening from the hall, I also overheard Kendo intervene and stopped Tokage and Ibara from escalating their argument into a fight. Tetsutetsu complimented her on that and even mentioned how he was going to step in as well before Kendo handled it. Her quirk is Big Fist, letting her enlarge her hands and it increases her strength too. His is Steel, which allows his skin to turn steel like that increases his physical attributes, which greatly boosts his defense," explained Vlad with noticeable pride in his voice over the two new students.

"My, my, what adorable hero hopefuls," remarked Nemuri after Vlad talked about the two.

"Yes, both show exemplary records," commented Nezu, while scanning their profile notes. "Kendo has years of martial arts practice under her belt and Tetsutetsu has a history of community service. Both have good grades and already show great character." Shifting his gaze from the screen to his class 1B teacher, Nezu gave Vlad a large smile. "I'm sure they'll help you reign in the more troublesome students when needed," he said and the blood hero agreed.

"Okay, we talked about all of our students and the other notes. Are we done? Can we go now?" asked Shota from the floor.

Looking at one another, the teachers of UA University collectively shifted their attention to the principal. "Well, we did go through everything on the agenda. So I guess we're finished," stated Nezu.

"Thank god. I'm leaving," said Shota as he stood up while still in his sleeping bag and began making his way out of the room in a half shifting and slithering motion.

"Eraserhead, aren't you forgetting something?" asked Nezu cheerily.

"No."

He was about to the reach the door when Nezu spoke. "What about your fourth problem child? You forgot to mention him."

Shota froze in his spot and started grinding his teeth, which they all heard. Turning around, he faced Nezu and shot out his next words. "He's the worst one of all!" snapped Shota, making the other teachers jump, startled over his sudden words. "Getting into trouble before even getting into the school! Sticking his nose where it doesn't belong! Getting injured to the point of missing his first day of school! And above all, he made me miss out on the precious little sleep I could've gotten last night! I should expel him just for that alone!"

During Eraserhead's entire rant, Nezu kept the smile on his face. When he finally finished, Nezu waited a few seconds until he replied back. "Well, you know as well as I do that it was all for a good cause. And, consider it part of your punishment for skipping out on today's orientation when I specifically told you that you have to attend this year's," said Nezu seriously.

Silence in the room as Nezu kept his cheery gaze on the gruff looking teacher while Shota glared at the principal. Hizashi leaned in towards Nemuri and whispered. "Do you know what's going on?" he asked her, with Higari and Vlad also hearing his question.

Nemuri shrugged while keeping her gaze on the two staring at each other. "Beats me," she whispered back. "Hey, what happened? And who's the fourth problem child?" she asked loudly to the two.

Nezu remained quiet and Shota didn't answer until a few seconds later. "Whatever. He better be worth this headache or I'm expelling him first chance I get," he remarked before turning around and facing the door. "I don't have time for this. I'm leaving."

Shota made his way out of the office while his friends asked him what happened and which student of his he was talking about. But he didn't say anything. When the door closed behind him, the other staff members who remained behind glanced at one another before looking at their principal. "Well, that went better than expected," commented Nezu with a chuckle. "Anyways, the meeting is adjourned. Good first day and lets continue it. You may all go now."

"Alright. I'm outta here," said Hizashi as turned to leave the room, with Higari, Nemuri and Vlad following after him.

After his staff left, Nezu brought his paws together and thought a little bit about the students he just learned about. "Hmm, this year has already proven to be much more entertaining than the rest. I can already tell the first years are going to change a lot of things. But for now, I myself have more interesting things to focus on." With that said, Nezu went back to his computer and opened up a profile he was working on. An image of a little girl with bluish silver hair appeared on his screen. He read the new notes along with the test results that were written in her profile by the university nurse. "Fascinating." An eerie smile formed on his face once more as he started researching what he just read.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

A young male was lying on a hospital bed unconscious while breathing through an oxygen mask. Hooked up to many sensors and monitors, they made steady beeping sounds as they displayed his vitals. He wasn't alone though as three others were in the same room with him. Two were seated beside his bed, speaking with one another quietly. The third was lying down next to him in a curled up position, snuggled against his side where a large circular bandage was beneath his hospital gown. The three of them had gone through a roller coaster of emotions and thoughts while waiting for him to get emergency surgery and treatment.

Slight movement from the one lying next to him caused the blanket on her to drop down some. A gentle hand raised it back up onto her shoulder before caressing the young girl's bluish silver hair, making her snuggle closer into the side of the unconscious male. "Poor thing," commented the woman as she retreated her hand. Looking at the young girl, she looked at the teenager and her eyes watered again. "And my poor son…"

"I'm so sorry Mrs. Midoriya," spoke the man seated next to her in a grave tone of voice. "I wish I could've gotten there sooner…"

"It's not your fault Toshi," she answered, wiping her tears that spilled out. "And haven't I told you to call me Inko lately? If you keep that up, I'm gonna start calling you All Might again. Or would you rather I call you Symbol of Peace? Or Toshinori Yagi?"

Toshinori let out a sigh, sagging into his chair. "Some Symbol of Peace I am. I wasn't there for him. He was supposed to start UA today. Take the next step to make his dream of becoming a hero a reality. I didn't know where to look and if it wasn't for those black energy tendrils, I would've never found them…"

Inko looked at the man next to her. Even though she's seen him before in his true form, one that reminded her of a skeleton with his skin and bones body, he looked even thinner than usual. She shook her head. "No, you're wrong." Glancing at her, he was confused until she clarified. "He's already taken his first steps when he started training with you two years ago. And he's already a hero," she told him with conviction in her voice before looking at her son again. She then looked at the child next to him. "This poor girl…I can't even imagine how it would feel to go through the horrible things she's been through. From what you told me, Izuku saved her from a horrible person. No matter what, as much as I'm upset that he's been badly hurt and I'm probably going to go crazy worrying about him, I can't fault him for being who he is." Inko wiped away some more tears before grasping her son's hand and lightly squeezed it. "I know he wouldn't want me to feel bad but I just can't help it. No matter how old he gets…no matter how much stronger he gets…he'll always be my child…"

Toshinori listened to Inko and couldn't argue with her at all. She was right. He was already a hero when they crossed paths. It was just unknown until that fateful day with that slime villain. "I agree with everything that you said. Your son…Izuku Midoriya, is a true hero. He's grown so much these past couple of years. He constantly surprises me and exceeds my expectations. He'll survive this and come back stronger than ever. And I will do everything within my power to teach him, help him and make sure he becomes the greatest hero the world has ever seen. I swear it!" he promised her with conviction as he clenched both his hands into fists.

Inko didn't say anything for a moment before she let go of her son's hand and turned to look at the number one hero. "Thank you All Might. No…" She shook her head again while keeping her gaze on his. "Thank you, Toshinori Yagi."

A small smile spread on his face. "You're welcome, Inko Midoriya."

"Ah-hem." Someone clearing their throat behind them made the two jump before looking back. "Did I interrupt anything?" asked the elderly woman with a teasing smile as she leaned against her cane.

"No no, Recovery Girl," replied Toshinori as he stood up, though both he and Inko sported slight blushes from embarrassment at being caught like that. There wasn't really anything going on between them, but it was still embarrassing to be seen like that. "Any news about young Midoriya?" he asked, preventing her from continuing and Inko looked at the heroine with hope filling her.

"He'll make a full recovery," she answered them with a smile, making both become extremely happy and relieved. "He was lucky. His organs surprisingly suffered little damage. If he was stabbed just an inch more to the side and he would've been in critical state at the very least. He might not have even been able to survive till he got here." Grim faces adorned both adults but the elderly woman shook her head. "No need to worry about what ifs. He's out of danger. But he did lose a lot of blood and the trauma that his body experienced because of his organs being damaged some was profound."

"How long will it take for him to recover Shuzenji? And when will he wake back up?" asked Inko with worry.

Smiling at her softly, the elderly nurse tapped her cane on the floor a couple times. "I told you before, you can call me Chiyo." Inko remained quiet and Chiyo started to explain things. "Well, we put him in an artificial coma so the surgery could be performed with fewer complications. Since the surgery was successful and he's recovering nicely, we'll wake him back up the earliest Wednesday afternoon if no other issues come up." Inko and Toshinori nodded, hoping that would be the case. "As for how long till he recovers…normally, at least several weeks, if not months for this type of injury to heal enough to be able to move around normally, even with just slight organ damage. But with me working on him several times throughout the day, he'll be back to perfect within a few days. He'll probably have some scars though. He might even be able to go to UA as early as next week."

Inko smiled as she got up from her seat, went to Recovery Girl and hugged her who reciprocated the hug. "Scars or no, thank you so much. I don't know how I can ever repay you."

"Don't worry Inko. We're all here to help each other. Plus, that big buffoon is footing the bill. You just worry about your son."

The two separated and Inko looked so much better after learning that her son will make a full recovery and she felt glad to have such incredible people giving her support. "Thank you. Both of you. With that settled…" She looked at the small girl on the bed. "What about her?" she asked before looking back at Chiyo and Toshinori also wanted to know.

"Eri? Hmm…" Recovery Girl was silent for a moment before letting out a sigh. "I'm not sure. That poor child's been used in experiments."

"What?!" yelped Inko, the color draining from her face.

"What makes you say that?" asked Toshinori in a low voice, glancing at the girl.

"She has dozens of lacerations on her but they were made surgically. And from the evidence gathered, she was also abused."

"Oh my god!" whispered Inko, as she covered her mouth with her hands while many thoughts floated around in her head. Toshi didn't say what exactly he did but mentioned it was bad. But this? She wasn't just experimented on but also abused too?! That's just horrible!

"That damn bastard," growled Toshinori as his fists clenched again, hard enough to draw a little blood as he remembered the video he saw on Izuku's phone. That was another thing that would haunt him all his life. He was almost as bad as his nemesis. And he was sure it would haunt his successor as well. Who wouldn't be? Seeing such an innocent looking child being blown up into a bloody mist… Without a doubt, that…monster…deserves to be imprisoned for all his life at the very least. Forcing himself to calm down, he glanced at the girl again. "What can we do for her?" he asked in a concerned tone of voice.

"Not much can be done, I'm afraid," remarked Recovery Girl sadly, moving towards the hospital bed to check on Izuku's vitals. "She's gone through so much that it'll take a long time for her to recover enough to be able to function normally, let alone open up to others. She was deathly afraid of all the nurses and doctors. She kept screaming out that the bad men with the beak masks would come after her. And she kept screaming for Izuku."

Shaking her head, the other adults in the room had sullen expressions appear on their faces. "Only with Shota's help were we able to keep her from using her quirk multiple times out of fright and give the nurse time to use her sleeping quirk on her so we can at least get a blood sample from her." And that's putting it mildly, thought Recovery Girl, remembering the fiasco it was to just get the young child to go to sleep so they could get a blood sample from her. Even then, she would wake back up as soon as the nurse stopped using her quirk.

The elderly woman closed her eyes for a moment, trying to will away the horrible images in her head. Opening her eyes, she focused on the equipment in front of her so she could clear her mind and did so before continuing. "After testing her blood, we found out that she doesn't have any diseases or anything bad. However, she's malnourished and small for her age. She barely talks and doesn't know how to be around others." The vibe in the room became even more depressing; one that was noticed by each one of them. Chiyo decided to say what else was on her mind to dispel it quickly. "But I believe there's still hope for her," she said, making the two to glance at one another as she finished with checking the information the monitors displayed. Finding that everything was normal and not something to be worried about, she turned to look at the boy's mother. "That is, if you allow it."

Inko turned to the nurse with a confused expression on her face. "Me? What do you mean?"

"Look," said Recovery Girl kindly as she gestured to the hospital bed.

All three adults looked at the curled up little girl next to the young man. She looked so peaceful and comfortable. And that's when she realized what was being said. "Izuku…you want Eri to stay with my son…" Chiyo smiled and nodded at that. Inko couldn't deny that she hadn't thought about it. The way the young girl had literally jumped out of All Might's arms the moment she entered her son's room and made a beeline to go be beside him. It had shocked all of them there when they saw that.

Inko wondered at that moment just how awful was her life that just a little bit of kindness would have her become so attached to her son. She thought in silence and quickly came to the conclusion that it might just be for the best for Eri. But she still had some doubts and hesitations. "Are…are you sure? I mean, I wouldn't mind, honestly. But we can barely feed ourselves. And what if they come after her? How can I protect her? And what about Izuku going to school? And can we even do this? What about the laws? Doesn't she have any family? Aren't they looking for her?" she asked them, her tone covered with worry and concern.

Toshinori spoke up at that moment. "We're already looking into her family so we can find them but so far we have nothing. Until we find them, with my and Chiyo's recommendations for you to take in Eri, no one will object. And I will help out with the finances. It's the least I can do. And I'll be around so don't worry…" Puffing up into his muscular form, Toshinori gave his trademark smile with his right hand giving a thumbs up. "No villain will dare come near you!"

Inko felt much comfort from his words and relaxed some. After Toshinori coughed out some blood and shrunk back down, Recovery Girl rolled her eyes and moved towards the two. "Yes, yes, you'll scare away villains and of course you'll help them. But so will UA." Both Inko and Toshinori looked surprised at that and were about to ask questions when she continued. "Nezu is very interested in Eri after we tested her blood to see what kind of Quirk she has. He's studying it as we speak and from what he's found out so far, he believes that she could become a valuable person in the future that many would try to seek out or even take for their own selfish desires. Just like the Yakuza leader she was with who was probably using her because of that."

"I…see…" remarked Inko quietly. "So, what does that mean? Is she going to be allowed to stay with Izuku in the dorms? Or will she stay with me?" she asked.

Recovery Girl thought for a bit before responding. "If we don't find her family or learn that she has no family, then in the future, yes, she'll probably be allowed to stay with Izuku in the dorms. Though Eri is already attached to him, we need her to wait until he gets situated at school first. And after finding out you are his mother, she's at least a little good with you." Smiling a little, Inko remembered how the little girl visibly relaxed around her after seeing how gentle she was being with Izuku and learning that she was indeed his mother. "But first we must have Izuku agree to it too when he awakes. Also, Eri needs to agree with it as well. Nezu wants to make sure that we don't force them to do anything they don't want to do," clarified the elderly woman, making sure they understood.

"Considering how things went and are going…" Toshinori gestured to the bed and they all looked once more at the young girl snuggled against the teenager's side. "…I don't think that's gonna be a problem."

Inko smiled and thought of what she just learned before nodding. "Alright. I'll do it. And I'm sure Izuku would want to as well."

"Excellent. I'll let Nezu know at once. And we'll ask both of them the first chance we get so we can be formal about it," commented Recovery Girl as she made her way out of the room. "I'll be back later to check in on him. Call for me if something changes," she added before closing the door behind her.

Toshinori and Inko looked at each other. "Are you worried?" he asked her.

"No, we'll be alright. Especially after everything we just said, I have no more doubts," answered Inko, a little more confident in herself.

He smiled at that. "Good." Looking over to his successor, Toshinori smiled a bit. "When he wakes up, we'll tell him. And I'll give him the gift I got for him."

Inko smiled at that. "You really didn't have to, you know?"

"I know. But I wanted to. He deserves it. Plus, it'll help him."

"Oh really? What is it?" she asked him curiously but he shook his head. "C'mon, I won't say anything. Wait, does it have to do with his costume? Is that why you asked to borrow it?" she asked him suddenly.

"Well, yeah, but I won't say more. All I will say is that my best friend and his daughter had a hand in upgrading it."

"Oh alright, fine. I'll wait to be surprised with my Izuku," she said as she turned to look at her son again. Her gaze turned sullen once more as she spoke in a quiet voice now. "How was the first day of school?"

"It was alright. Did my part in the orientation. I think this year will be very interesting at the very least. Is he all packed up to move into the dorm?" he asked her.

"Yes. He had almost everything ready a week ago. He just needed a few last minute items. That's why he was out shopping and buying groceries yesterday when…" She trailed off, unable to finish, thinking about what happened and said no more.

Without thinking or realizing what he was doing, Toshinori placed his left hand on her right shoulder as he spoke to try and lift her spirits. "Again, I'm sorry Inko. But remember what Chiyo said; young Midoriya will make a full recovery."

Inko flushed a little at his touch but did nothing to get his hand off her. If anything, it gave her a sense of calm and comfort. She was surprised that even when he was just skin and bones right now, his hand was able to provide warmth and strength. Hearing his words, she didn't say anything for a moment until she let out a small cough, making him remove his hand from her, before she nodded. "Yes, you're right. Thanks, I remember."

Reddening slightly over what he just did, the Symbol of Peace stayed composed however and replied back quickly. "Of course and you're welcome."

Inko smiled again before remembering something all of a sudden. "Toshi, you mentioned it a few times already. But what energy tendrils are you talking about?" she asked him.

Toshi didn't immediately answer, trying to think of how to explain what he saw and if he even should. Until he decided to just give the truth, since there were no more secrets between them anymore. He had come clean with everything to her after she caught him and Izuku trying to lie to her a few months into the training. "Honestly, I have no idea what they are. When I was trying to find Izuku, I saw these long, black, energy like tendrils moving around frantically above some buildings. When I finally got to where they started from, I found those tendrils were coming from his arm while he was stuck to the wall in the alley. He had the villain wrapped up in some of them and the rest were thrashing around all over the place but they were completely avoiding Eri. After I knocked out the villain, he lost consciousness and the tendrils retreated back into his arm. I've never seen anything like it," informed Toshinori, his gaze locked onto his bed ridden successor. What was that?

Inko couldn't believe what she heard, her eyes wide with her mouth left slightly open. "C-Could it be part of his q-quirk? Part of…" She lowered her voice to barely a whisper. "…One For All?"

Toshinori let out a sigh. "At this point, I don't know. Nothings off the table so to speak. But I will find out what it is. I promise." Inko could only sigh before she turned to look at her son and the young girl. Once more, silence grew between them and before it could grow awkward, the blond hero decided to leave. "I'm gonna go and contact the others regarding the yakuza leader we got in custody and see if there's any updates on Eri's family. I'll set up a meeting with Nezu about all this tomorrow morning and find out what needs to be done. If you need anything, just call me and I'll be here immediately. Just don't forget to get some rest yourself. You've been stressed out all day and it's almost midnight."

Inko nodded in understanding with her gaze still on her son. "Don't worry, I will. I'll have the nurse bring me a blanket and pillow." She turned to face him before continuing. "And thank you…for everything," she said with a small smile.

He smiled in return. "Of course and you're welcome Inko." Nodding at her, the number one hero left the room. As he made his way towards the hospital exit, he thought of everything that happened and what he needed to do then. Rubbing the back of his head, he let out a sigh. Why are things so complicated? I have a lot to do. And I need to find out what those black tendrils were that came out of his arm. Maybe he knows? He started trembling in his spot, wondering how his old teacher was going to take everything after the past two years. He's gonna be pissed. Damn it, stop shaking! And the others aren't gonna be happy either when they find out what happened to young Midoriya. Should I call them now or in the morning? I'll do it in the morning. Shaking his head, he prepared himself as he made a few plans on what he was going to do in the morning as he made his way out of the hospital.

Back in the room, after All Might left, Inko thought a little about what just happened before shaking her head. Get a grip Inko. You have more important things to focus on right now. She turned towards the hospital bed and let out a sigh. Making her way back to the seat beside it, she sat down and stayed quiet for a bit as she took in the sight in front of her. How Eri's face was practically pressed into Izuko's side with her snuggling. Double checking to make sure she was breathing normally, Inko relaxed and noticed something else. Her son's arm was wrapped around her in a protective manner even with him being unconscious at the moment. She wondered if Eri did that or if her son did that subconsciously. Either way, she thought it was so adorable. Reaching towards the two, Inko grasped her son's hand with her right hand and with her left hand, placed it on top of the girl's head. "I promise, I will do all I can for the two of you." After speaking that promise out loud, the green haired woman just gazed at the two while thinking a million different things.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"What the FUCK happened?!" screamed a dark blue haired woman with obvious anger after bursting into the room with the doors slamming into the walls without care. Striding right up to the largest man in the room, she ignored everyone else that had gathered in it. Grabbing him with both of her hands along the middle of his shirt before shaking him violently, she started yelling at him while doing so. "What happened?! When did it happen?! Who did it?! Whose balls am I crushing?! I was wondering why I couldn't find him yesterday! Why am I finding out about this now?! And how's he doing?! What happened to him?! Where is he?! He better be alright or I'm gonna…"

"Midnight, that's enough." Though he spoke calmly and softly, his voice carried a tone that demanded respect and compliance.

Midnight glanced at the one who spoke with a glare. She still wanted to rage at the man in front of her but she knew that she shouldn't continue. Looking back at her target with narrowed eyes, she let go of him. "Just so you know, I'm not done with you All Might." With a huff, Nemuri moved away from the number one hero and sat down on one of the couches next to one of the other occupants in the room. Crossing her legs as she crossed her arms over her chest, she kept her glare on both All Might and the one who told her to stop.

Rubbing the back of his neck, the Symbol of Peace glanced at the principal of UA who told the R-rated hero to stop. "Thanks Nezu."

"You're welcome. Now, since we're all here, what is it that you wanted to tell us?"

Toshinori nodded before facing the others in the room. The woman was glaring at him. The next person had narrowed eyes while the third looked concerned. "Thank you for gathering here on short notice early in the morning. There are many things that need to be said and I'm not sure how to say it or where to begin, but I do know that you should all know about these things. Especially after all the assistance you gave me in helping young Midoriya with his training. Once again, thank you for that. Midnight. Gran Torino. Death Arms." The three heroes remained quiet, waiting for him to explain. Taking in a breath, the Symbol of Peace let it out slowly before continuing on. "Alright…so, first thing is what you've learned through my messages; Midoriya was attacked while trying to save a young child he just bumped into out of nowhere. What I didn't tell you was that he's in the hospital right now recovering from being impaled by a concrete spike due to the villain's actions during the confrontation."

"He takes after you too much Toshi!"

"WHICH BASTARD DID THAT TO HIM?!"

"Is he gonna be alright?"

"Everyone, relax." Nezu's voice cut in to prevent the gathered heroes from going overboard; especially a certain heroine that he knew was close to losing it. The three looked at the principal, with one of them giving a rather intimidating glare. "Come now, if we keep having interruptions like this, we won't finish this meeting until afternoon. And school begins in an hour. So please let him continue."

Seeing them remain quiet, All Might continued on. "Thanks Nezu. Anyways, he's out of danger and he'll make a full recovery. He might have to wait until next week the earliest to attend school though. The second thing is this; the girl he saved, Eri, had gone through…many hardships…to say the least and will stay with him and his mother because she's grown attached to him and doesn't seem to have a family of her own as far as we know. We'll keep on checking on that until we're fully sure." Taking a moment to get a breather, he rubbed the back of his head as he decided on his next few words. "The villain responsible for this has been apprehended and is in police custody…"

"Who's the bastard?!" asked Midnight with a growl.

"Kai Chisaki, leader of the Yakuza. Goes by Overhaul, which is also his quirk. Can disintegrate and reintegrate anything he touches at the molecular level," informed Nezu and Midnight's eyes narrowed into slits, committing the information to memory.

All Might cleared his throat before continuing. "So, yes, Overhaul is in jail right now awaiting trial within the coming weeks. He's gonna be tried for kidnapping, attempted murder, assault, abuse, illegal human experimentation and several other charges from what my contact in the police department told me."

"That's good," stated Gran Torino.

"Hopefully he'll be put away forever," remarked Death Arms, glad that the villain seemed to be on the fast track to life in prison.

Midnight remained quiet but her eyes were still narrowed. She was imagining herself torturing the villain who dared hurt her precious and innocent Izuku…

All Might nodded in agreement. "Things are looking that way. And because of his actions that involved the young girl that Midoriya saved, Eri was in a panic when we took her to the hospital. She wouldn't and couldn't calm down. Her quirk kept flaring up and we couldn't get near her. She kept saying that she's cursed and that she'll make us disappear if we got too close. Because of that, we had to bring in Eraserhead to help out…" Midnight had a look of understanding form on her, remembering what was said the day before during their first meeting of the year. "…and he was able to keep her from using her quirk so the doctors can do their job."

"Alright, but what does this have to do with this meeting?" asked Death Arms with a confused look on his face, drawing everyone's attention. "I mean, thanks for giving us an update and we're all glad that Midoriya is fine. But do we really need to know about Eri? Other than the fact that she was the one he saved? Or what Eraserhead did? I mean, we're all concerned about Midoriya, but what do those two have to do about this?"

"I'm getting there," replied back All Might and Death Arms quieted down to hear the rest. "Anyway, because Aizawa had to do that, we learned that Eri is deathly afraid of everyone, especially people dressed in medical attire…except for Izuku who she saw risk his life to protect her."

"Naturally," commented Gran Torino. "All victims latch onto their savior. Especially a child."

"Exactly. When we finished her tests and I took her to Izuku's room, she practically jumped out of my arms to rush to his side…" Unable to help themselves, every person in that room had some sort of smile appear on their faces. "…and that's when we decided something else."

"Which is?" asked Midnight.

"That Eri will stay with Midoriya and his mother because she needs them and doesn't have anywhere else to go right now. But…"

"But?" repeated Death Arms questioningly.

"Since she was held captive by the Yakuza, I ask for your assistance in keeping an eye over them whenever I'm not around. At least until Midoriya and Eri are here in the dorms or their leader is sent behind bars permanently." The three pros agreed to the request without issue and All Might smiled. "Thank you. I truly appreciate it. You've helped me out a great deal and still continue to do so. I will make it up to all of you. I promise. And the last thing I need to say is very important. I believe you deserve to know it after everything you've done to help me and Midoriya. But before I do, I have to say something else first."

Two of the three glanced at each other in confusion, while the third caught All Might's gaze, knowing what he was going to do. "What? What do you need to tell us?" asked Midnight, looking at him again.

Toshinori was about to answer her when he was prevented from doing so when all of a sudden, Nezu's office door was slammed open once more, catching everyone's attention. "I TOLD YOU ALL MIGHT!" bellowed the new arrival angrily as he made his way directly towards the number one hero while ignoring everyone else.

He was a tall and slender individual and they all knew who he is. But his sudden appearance and obvious fury over something had dumfounded the three heroes there. They had never seen him behave in such a way before. The principal, Nezu, didn't seem to be surprised at all since he was actually expecting the hero to make another sudden arrival. But he did have a serious look on his face because he didn't think he'd come so soon. Nor was he expecting him to act in such a manner.

"Nighteye?!" blurted out All Might in surprise. "What are you do…"

He wasn't able to finish because Nighteye had grabbed him with both hands on his shirt, much like Midnight did before and started yelling into his face. "I TOLD YOU, GODDAMN IT! HE WASN'T WORTHY AND YET YOU INSISTED! YOU SAID HE HAD A SPARK BUT ALL THAT SPARK DID WAS DRY UP AN INVESTIGATION ON THE YAKUZA THAT I WAS DOING FOR OVER A YEAR!"

The other heroes there started to realize why he was so angry but that didn't stop them from becoming upset themselves, due to who he was talking about. All Might was also becoming angry but he was controlling himself for the moment. "Nighteye, you need to stop and lis…"

But his former sidekick didn't hear him and kept going, cutting off his words once more. "I FOUND OUT FROM THE POLICE CALLING ME BECAUSE WE WERE WORKING TOGETHER AS A TEAM TO BRING DOWN OVERHAUL AND HIS ENTIRE NETWORK! BUT THEN THAT IDIOTIC HERO WANNABE CONFRONTED AND FOUGHT A HIGHLY DANGEROUS CRIMINAL! AND IN PUBLIC! HE DIDN'T EVEN START UA YET AND HE'S ALREADY BREAKING LAWS AND BEING COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE! YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK! TAKE IT BACK AND GIVE IT TO MIRIO! HE'S MUCH MORE WORTHY THAN THAT DISGRACE TO THE TITLE OF HERO! HE'LL NEVER…"

"ENOUGH!" roared Toshinori, startling his former sidekick and everyone else. Even Nezu was slightly taken aback from the number one hero's sudden and rather furious shouting. Grabbing Mirai's wrists, he removed them from his shirt and increased his grip to the point of almost causing the bones to crack from the pressure he was putting on them. Mirai couldn't help but grunt in pain. "Listen and listen well, for I'm only going to say this; I've made my choice. It's final. And if you ever insult young Midoriya again in front of me, former sidekick or not, former friend or not, I will Detroit Smash you into the future that you're so scared of," promised the blonde hero, his furious gaze locked onto Mirai's stunned one.

Everyone in the room was frozen in shock over what the Symbol of Peace just said to another hero, who was also his former sidekick too. Never before had they seen him like that. Before anyone of them could do or say anything, Toshinori barely used a small fraction of his strength to push Mirai away from him, making him stumble backwards a bit before catching his footing. "And Midoriya didn't confront Overhaul," stated the Symbol of Peace with a serious tone, catching Nighteye's attention while he massaged his wrists. "He was protecting Eri, a little girl that had run away from Overhaul…"

"Little girl?" repeated Mirai, with his brow furrowed. "The police didn't mention her and none of the reports or investigations we've done ever had a little girl in them…"

"Well, looks like you and your team missed that, didn't they?" he asked rhetorically and Nighteye narrowed his eyes while pursing his lips into a straight line. "Young Midoriya was simply on his way home after going to the store and Eri bumped into him, crying. He tried to comfort her but then Overhaul found them and practically demanded him to hand her over. He didn't want to, since she was so scared and tried to stall for time until I got there because he was able to covertly message me. But he had no choice, with Eri going back to him to protect young Midoriya. But he knew that something was wrong and followed after them from the rooftops while they went through the alleyways. At one point, they stopped because Overhaul got a call and it angered him. And then he…he…"

Toshinori trailed off, remembering what he saw in the video. Except for Nezu, who already knew what happened and was scowling himself, the others in the room were listening to his every word, their hearts beating a little quicker over what they were learning. Taking in a breath, Toshinori continued. "And then he used his quirk to blow up the young girl into a bloody mist."

"OH MY GOD!" yelped Midnight, clapping her hands to her mouth with her eyes filling up with water. She had seen some horrible things during her career as a pro hero, but nothing like that.

Gran Torino closed his eyes and raised his head towards the ceiling, doing his best to not explode himself. "Goddamn it," muttered the old hero.

"That piece of shit!" snapped Death Arms, shaking with fury.

Nighteye didn't have any discernible expression on his face but inside he was feeling many different things. He wasn't able to say anything though since All Might continued. "After Overhaul reformed Eri, young Midoriya decided he had seen enough and got involved. He protected Eri to the best of his ability until I was able to get there. But he was injured in the process and I barely got there in time to stop Overhaul. Right now, he's in the hospital and recovering after protecting Eri."

When All Might finished telling the story, no one spoke for a short while. Until Nighteye took in a breath to calm himself and then opened his mouth. "How do you know all this?" he asked quietly.

All Might didn't respond back immediately. He took out his smart phone from his pocket and held it up for everyone to see. "Because young Midoriya took a video of Overhaul's outburst and what he did to Eri from the rooftops he was using to spy on them." Several gasps were let out and Nighteye couldn't believe it. "I sent myself and Tsukauchi a copy of the video. And Eri, who barely calmed down a little after being reunited with young Midoriya even when he's still unconscious, told me about what happened when I asked her about it in private. Finding grocery bags on one of the rooftops, the video on his phone, the message to me, Eri's information and what I saw when I arrived there, it all makes sense and is irrefutable proof."

"So…so that's it? How did we miss a little girl after a year of investigating?" Nighteye was thinking a mile a minute but something else popped into his mind suddenly. "I see. I did miss something. But, you decided to take matters into your own hands, to protect him. Even after breaking the law, you're still helping him," stated Nighteye.

"Did you not hear a damn word I said?!" asked All Might angrily in a heavy growl, making Nighteye take a step back and the others were surprised over his aggressive display. "He didn't break the law! He called for a pro hero to come immediately! And all he did was protect himself and a young girl! He didn't start the fight! It was all in self-defense of himself and in defense of someone else! Even the laws allow for good Samaritans and to use quirks for that and to protect life! You know that too! So stop trying to make it look like he's a vigilante going off on his own!"

Nighteye only scowled in return. "You're blinded by him and you can't see past it to notice his flaws. He only got lucky with what happened. It could've gone so much worse. The investigation could've been completely messed up. Or worse, he could've died and we would've lost IT! You're going to regret giving it to him one day."

All Might had his heart beat a little faster over what his former sidekick said. He was about to say something but someone else beat him to the punch. "You got some fuckin nerve to talk shit when you weren't even there!" spoke up Midnight as she got up onto her feet and glared at Nighteye.

"I wasn't speaking with you. And you don't know anything about what I'm talking about, which is more important than all of us combined. So don't get involved in things that are beyond you," he snapped at her with annoyance.

Midnight snarled in response. "I don't need to see the future to know what I'm talking about or when I'm wrong about something. And who gives a damn about whatever the hell you're talking about! I don't know why you've got such issues with Midoriya or All Might but whatever it is, it doesn't excuse your behavior! So either get your head out of your ass, or get the fuck out of here!"

Nighteye glared at her. "Of course you'd be acting out like this. You have no clue. And even if you did know, you wouldn't be able to do anything. So how about you not get involved in something that's way out of your league and go back to your own petty ways of stopping villains?"

Midnight narrowed her eyes with her hands clenching into fists. "Oh, and what ways are you implying?" she asked, a dangerous tone coating her words. The other males in the room, including Nezu, had their eyes widen and wondered if Nighteye was truly going to go there.

"You know exactly what I mean. You never shied away from it before. We all know how you use your body's quirk to incapacitate villains…or are you talking about how you use your body in less than heroic ways to subdue your victims?" spat Nighteye with venom.

"You fuckin bastard!" screamed Midnight as she went to slap Nighteye, but he swiftly dodged her strike and she stumbled forward a few steps. The others in the room were shocked that he actually went there and didn't immediately react. Midnight tried to hit him again, but her strike was blocked and both of her hands were caught by the wrists. "Let go of me you creep!" she yelled as she tried to pry her arms free. For someone so skinny, he was surprisingly strong. Attempting to kick him in the groin, that hit was also blocked. Glancing at him with a scowl, she saw his eyes changing color and they glowed slightly, making her gasp.

Finally snapping out of their frozen states, the others there reacted. "Let her go, Mirai!" shot Gran Torino, moving towards the two with Death Arms right beside him.

But All Might got there in a flash and separated the two. Noticing the expression on Nemuri's face, he turned to his former sidekick and saw the glow fading from his eyes. He understood immediately and he was furious over what his former sidekick just did. "That was low, even for you Mirai," he growled.

Nighteye said nothing and after looking around, he saw everyone's angry gaze on him. Nezu even had a disappointed look on his face. Moving towards the office exit, he opened the door and took one step out but then stopped. Turning to look back at everyone, he slowly moved his gaze towards the blue haired woman. Her expression was so livid that he thought for a moment that she was trying to make him combust into flames from her angry gaze. Not letting it affect him, he told her what he saw. "That which you believe in will be your undoing. You're going to suffer for the rest of your life as you cling to false hope until your passing. And you're gonna die a horrible death with the only good thing in your life being the one light that never went out, shining on you as you move on."

A mixture of fear, concern, anger and confusion filled Nemuri and the expression on her face couldn't reflect that so she ended up looking like someone who was lost. Everyone else in the room was shocked over what they heard before turning their gaze towards her and saw her dumbfounded and unmoving.

"All Might…" started Nighteye as he turned to face the number one hero who also shifted his gaze to his as well. A very slight sullen look formed on Nighteye that only the number one hero caught. "You're gonna regret your choice. He's gonna be the reason for many deaths." With his final statement said, he left the office and closed the door behind him.

A short silence followed after his departure with everyone thinking many things. Until Nezu started talking and broke them out of their funk. "Well, that was rather sad and unfortunate."

"What did he mean…when he said all that to about me?" asked Nemuri in a low voice, her heart hammering over what she was told.

"Don't worry about it so much Midnight," answered Gran Torino, making her look at the short hero. "He tends to allow his visions to control him. Let's just forget about it and move on," he advised, knowing that if they dwell on this, they'll never get anywhere and time was short. And he didn't want her to over think what was said. Sharing a look with the Symbol of Peace who understood what he was doing, the two exchanged a look that they both understood. "So, before we were rudely interrupted, you wanted to say something to us?" asked Gran Torino, moving them back to what they originally gathered for.

Glancing at Midnight, who was sporting a somewhat concerned expression over what she was just told, All Might cleared his throat. "Y-Yes, well, what I wanted to say is this. The reason why I had all of you help me train young Midoriya was because of a decision I made. I decision that, as you can see, my former sidekick Nighteye does not believe to be the right one." Noticing their attention fully on him now, even Nemuri's, while also starting to understand a little of what was going on, he continued to explain. "The decision I made involves young Midoriya and a secret that very few know about."

Eyebrows rose and eyes widened slightly after hearing him say that but no one said anything. Gathering his thoughts, All Might continued. "Amongst those who know, are young Midoriya, his Mother, Gran Torino, Nezu, Recovery Girl, Nighteye, David Shield and my close friend in the police force, Detective Tsukauchi. And now, I believe you two, Midnight and Death Arms, to also be trustworthy after all the help you gave me. I also want you to know so you'll be there to help young Midoriya when I'm not able to anymore."

"Not able to anymore?" repeated Death Arms.

"What do you mean?" asked Midnight, her curiosity about this overwhelming her concern about what she was told and focused on this instead.

All Might glanced at Gran Torino, who nodded and he faced the two. "My time as the Symbol of Peace is coming to an end and I have chosen Izuku Midoriya to become my successor."

"What?!" yelped Death Arms in surprise. "What do you mean?!"

Midnight was surprised but was able to control her reaction. "Is that why you asked for our help in training Midoriya and getting him more comfortable in social environments?"

All Might let out a sigh. "Yes, that's why I asked for all of your help. To explain everything, I don't know if we have the time before school starts…"

"We have time if you do it quickly enough," remarked Nezu, checking the time right there.

"Very well. In that case, I guess I'll just rip off the band aid. Just please don't go crazy." Steam started to sprout from All Might and he kept releasing steam until he shrunk into his skeleton like form. Death Arms and Midnight let out surprised sounds over what they just saw. All Might hurried to explain, not letting them say anything. "This is what I normally look like now after my fight against the greatest villain who ever lived; All For One."

Both Midnight and Death Arms had their jaws drop after hearing that. There were rumors and stories told about the most heinous villain to have ever lived and they both thought that he was nothing more than a myth. But it looks like they were wrong for not believing in it.

Grabbing the left side of his shirt, Toshinori raised it to reveal his torso that had a horrible scar that seemed to take up half of his body, making the two heroes let out shocked sounds again. "That fight I had with All For One happened around eight years ago. It was the most brutal fight I've ever been in and is the reason behind me looking like this. He basically destroyed my stomach, left lung and damaged my body past the point of full recovery. Only when he stopped to gloat at what he did, was I able to surprise him and summon all of my strength to kill him by crushing his head with my bare hands." Eyes widening over hearing what the Symbol of Peace did, both Midnight and Death Arms were absolutely dumbstruck, unable to move or say anything at all.

Lowering his shirt, All Might explained further. "After many surgeries, I was able to live on but my power has been steadily declining over the years. Right now I can only do hero work for about hours. And since that day, I've been on the search for a worthy person for a long time to become my successor and to inherit my quirk…"

"Wait, wait! Inherit your quirk?" asked Midnight with a stupefied expression.

"That's not possible," remarked Death Arms slowly.

All Might smiled a little. "Yes it is. And my quirk is practically as old as quirks themselves. It's at the center of the entire history with All For One and the personal grudges between us." He stopped for a moment and glanced at Nezu, who quickly mentioned how much time they have left and All Might nodded. Turning back to the two, he saw them exchanging stunned looks and they faced him when he started speaking again. "My quirk is a special torch that has been handed down for generations to a worthy successor to fight against evil and each time it does so, it becomes stronger. And the name of my quirk is One For All…"
