Author's Notes: AOS loosely follows IRL world events rather than the obnoxiously gullible hopeful Earth-38 that has no basis in our reality. For a long time, I wasn't sure how this war would go. I've tried to be respectful and disrespectful to both sides, not necessarily in equal measure. I am always open to conversation, revision, dialogue, understanding, etc., but AOS had to make a statement. There are some Black Adam spoilers.

Adventures of Supergirl 7x22

24th February 2022

Karina flew across the border towards the Boryspil International Airport. The Russians began their attack with a flurry of missiles and artillery shells directed at the airport. Upon landing, they created explosions on the runway making it unusable. Karina fired heat vision on the airport destroying several buildings. Anti-aircraft missiles from the airport went straight for Karina and exploded. Karina went through the explosions and fired on the anti-aircraft missile systems as she circled around the airport. With the airport in flames, Karina flew north towards the advancing Russian tank columns.

Alina walked towards a destroyed bridge that had stopped a tank column from proceeding toward Kyiv. "How the fuck did this happen? We were supposed to take them by surprise," Alina asked a lieutenant next to her.

"We didn't anticipate one would heroically blow up the bridge with him still on it," the lieutenant said flatly.

"Start anticipating," Alina snapped. "Go around. We're sitting ducks out here."

Karina landed next to Alina. "What's next?"

"Go to the Antonov airfield and give them air support," Alina ordered.

"I heard we just took Chornobyl. Why the fuck would we do that?" Karina asked confused.

"It's a strategic location on the way toward Kyiv that has to be cleared," Alina reminded her.

"But why attack Kyiv? Just take the eastern side of the country and have the enemy come to us across the river," Karina said.

"It's a decapitation. We sack the capital, we end the war within a few days," Alina replied.

"I don't know. That sounds like bullshit," Karina frowned.

"Just go," Alina ordered.

Karina then flew off towards Hostomel and coordinated with Russian attack helicopters and two fighter jets. Karina eyed the Antonov An-225 Mriya and fired. Red beams hit the largest airplane on Earth and blasted it to pieces. Karina then fired on the hangers lighting them on fire. Russian paratroopers exited the helicopters and faced off against Ukrainian defenders. Hovering helicopters received a beating from the Ukrainian defenders and quickly became riddled with holes. One helicopter crashed in the field with the pilots ejected.

"Our men got this. Go to Crimea and unblock that canal" Alina ordered via radio.

"Where the hell is the air force?" Karina wondered as she sped towards the south.

Kherson

Karina flew towards Crimea and identified the concrete barrier that was preventing water from entering Crimea. She fired on the barrier destroying it and allowing water to flow through the canal once more. The invading Russian troops cheered as she circled around Kherson and then flew out towards the Black Sea. "I am Supergirl. I suggest you lay down your weapons and surrender to avoid bloodshed and needless casualties. Otherwise, you will be hit," Karina radioed Snake Island.

"Go fuck yourself," the Ukrainian defenders radioed back to her.

Karina shook her head dismayed and then fired on the island creating a massive explosion that destroyed the small facility. Karina circled the island with flames roaring all across it and then took off toward Kyiv.

Kyiv

Russian fighters entered Kyiv airspace and began their bombing campaign while avoiding anti-aircraft missiles. Su-35s, Su-25s, Su-27s, and MiG 29s were in the air. A black stealth aircraft suddenly appeared on their radar. "We got one bogie. Repeat, one bogie. Not a problem," Pilot #1 reported in.

The aircraft then disappeared on their radar. "What the fuck?" Pilot #1 wondered. The aircraft then reappeared behind him. "Oh, shit!" Pilot #1 said as the Batwing came in closer. "He's right on me!"

"Get out of there, Dancing Bear," Pilot #2 told him.

Batwoman got a lock on the fighter and fired an air-to-air missile. The missile hit the Russian jet blasting off an engine and a wing. "I'm hit! I'm falling apart! I can't control it. We're going down," Pilot #1 exclaimed.

"What's been hit?" Pilot #2 asked.

Pilot #1 ejected as the Russian jet fell into the capital in pieces. "We've lost Dancing Bear. We've lost Dancing Bear," Pilot #2 reported in.

"Red Daughter is airborne," Karina radioed in as she raced towards Kyiv.

"What's your position?" Pilot #2 asked.

"One eighty kilometers," Karina replied.

"I'm going after it," Pilot #2 said upon seeing the Batwing in visual. "I lost him in the sun. Shit! What's he doing?" Pilot #2 said as the Batwing disappeared.

"He's coming around on our tail!" Pilot #3 said alarmed as the Batwing reappeared.

The Batwing switched to guns and fired on the Russian jet at close range. The Russian jet expertly avoided the gunfire "This is Rasputin One, we are completely defenseless," Pilot #3 radioed.

"Going super-sonic, I'll be there in thirty seconds," Pilot #4 said.

"Move your ass, Baba Yaga," Pilot #3 pressed. "I'm being engaged. I'm in deep shit!"

Pilot #2 locked onto the Batwing and fired. The Batwing released flares causing the missile to detonate prematurely. "That was close," Beth said uncomfortably.

"Hang in there, kid," Brainiac 5 said condescendingly via radio.

"Baba Yaga, engage, God damn it," Pilot #2 scolded.

The Batwing and Pilot #4 nearly hit each other in the air. Pilot #4 went into an uncontrollable spin as it went through the Batwing's jet loss. "This isn't working," Pilot #4 muttered.

"Get back in there, for Christ's sake. What the fuck are you doing? Get back into the fight," his navigator yelled at him.

"Why are we even here?" Pilot #4 wondered.

"Ice-Man is in trouble. He won't last long without us. Get your ass back in the fight," his navigator continued to yell at him.

The Batwing targeted Pilot #2 and fired. The missile blasted his wing off taking down the jet. The Batwing then went after Pilot #4 and fired guns at him. Pilot #3 came around and fired, missing completely. The Batwing targeted Pilot #4 and fired. The missile hit the Russian jet completely blasting it apart.

"Holy shit, we're dropping like flies," Pilot #3 said dismayed. He got close to the Batwing and fired guns at close range. The bullets merely bounced off the Batwing's hull. The Batwing flipped over Pilot #3 and fired guns at close range. The bullets sliced into the fighter's side deactivating one of its engines. "I'm still good. Wait, no, I'm not," Pilot #3 said as the fighter went into an uncontrollable spin and crashed into a Ukrainian building.

Pilot #5 lined up a shot and fired with the missile missing. The Batwing and Pilot #5 went head-to-head each firing missiles. The Batwing avoided the second missile while Pilot #5's jet was hit and completely destroyed in a fireball. Pilot #6 got close to the Batwing and fired guns. The bullets merely bounced off the hull. Pilot #6 went for a missile lock when the Batwing suddenly decreased its speed. Pilot #6 flew right past the Batwing unable to slow down in time. Beth targeted the last fighter with a missile lock and fired. The missile blasted the Russian jet out of the sky.

Karina arrived on the scene and engaged the Batwing at fast speed. "This is where the fun begins," Beth said concernedly and then activated the Batwing's cloak. Karina searched the skies for the Batwing but couldn't see through the cloak.

"I've lost all visual," Karina reported as she quickly scanned the area with her falcon eyes and X-ray vision.

The Batwing deployed drones from its hull that flew around the area and emitted holograms of the Batwing. Karina immediately engaged these drones firing at them in quick succession. The Batwing snuck up on Karina at close range and fired. The missile broke apart in the air spraying Karina with Kryptonite shards. Karina was hit all over and immediately lost power. Stunned, Karina fell to the ground and slammed into an apartment complex creating a dust storm upon impact.

The Ukrainian citizens cheered as the Batwing circled around the city clearing its airspace for the time being. Beth gave them a thumbs-up and then disappeared.

On the northern front, Alina was present with Russian generals in a recently captured building. "The 35th has taken Chornobyl and its power plant. The 36th was forced to bypass Chernihiv. The Ukrainian 1st tank brigade has stalled us there," one general said.

"We need to have Oblong by tomorrow," Alina insisted. "It's nine kilometers away from the Parliamentary building. If we can get that close, we can begin shelling the city."

"The Ukrainian 95th Air Assault Brigade and the 72nd Mechanized Brigade will be our main opponent there," another general pointed out.

"I will kill the president, his staff, and anyone else around him. With the head cut off, Kyiv will fall within 96 hours. The war will be over before you know it," Alina said confidently.

"And what of the asset?" a general asked seriously.

"The Spetsnaz will recover her," Alina replied. In truth, Alina was worried Karina was dead or seriously wounded. Otherwise, she would have made it back to base by now.

25th February

Kyiv

Karina stumbled about in a room inside an apartment complex. Her uniform was a bloody mess with significant wounds all over her body. Upon looking at herself in the mirror, she noticed her right eye was closed shut. She slammed the mirror and took a broken piece of glass from it. Looking over her face with what remained of the mirror, Karina cut into her eye with the piece of glass. She then pulled a small piece of Kryptonite from her eye and let it fall into the sink. Looking down, she found her right forearm severely wounded with Kryptonite shards. Using the same piece of glass, she cut deep into her arm and started pulling out Kryptonite shards from the muscle tissue and even reaching the bone. Karinna sighed as she felt exhausted and in pain. She slowly stripped her suit from her shoulders revealing her chest to be peppered with Kryptonite shards.

"Fuck," she said softly upon seeing the extent of the damage.

The Spetsnaz entered the city in a black armored van and went straight for the apartment complex Karina had crashed into. Inside the van were fifteen highly trained men armed to the teeth. "The mission is the recovery of the asset. I'm sure you all know whom I'm talking about. She's a legend, many respect her as a goddess. This time, she needs our help. We go in, we recover her. It's that simple," Lt Yuri said to his men.

"Yes, Sir!" they all shouted.

"Intelligence reports indicate just civilians in the apartment," Lt. Yuri told them. "Still, we clear every floor, every corner. Be alert men. We're dealing with people able and willing to fight. I don't want any empty seats when we're done."

Meanwhile, Hank, Beth, and Nia were busy with some Russian prisoners while the Batwing was refueled, repaired, and rearmed in an undisclosed location. In front of Hank were five Russian prisoners of war, officers. The Russian prisoners had tape over their mouths, were placed in a kneeling position, and had their hands tied behind their backs. Hank casually went over to each of them and begin shooting them in the back of the head with a pistol. Nia winced with each shot. After killing four of them, Hank's pistol jammed. He attempted to shoot the fifth prisoner several times before giving up.

"Hey, watch this for me," Hank said placing the still-loaded pistol on the Russian's shoulder.

Hank went back to Beth and Nia as he considered what to do. "Now, where were we?" he asked rhetorically.

The Russian immediately struggled to try to free himself and get the loaded gun. Hank waited patiently until the Russian was just about to get free and then blasted his head off with heat vision. "Really?" Nia asked horrified.

"I already got all the intel I needed from them," Hank shrugged.

Kyiv

In Kyiv, the Spetsnaz arrived at the apartment complex and split into two squads. The main squad came upon an apartment complex guard watching an old TV set. A squad member snuck up behind him and slit his throat with wire to silence him. Upon clearing the outside of the building, the two squads went inside. The two squads took the stairwell and rapidly made their way to the fifth floor. There, they started to clear each floor for Karina. In the hallway of the fifth floor, a teenager noticed them.

"What the fuck?" he wondered.

"Don't move, don't do anything stupid," Lt. Yuri warned him.

Spooked, the teenager took off going through a door to the center of the complex. Lt. Yuri fired through the door and shot him in the neck mortally wounding him. However, the teenager managed to communicate the danger of the Spetsnaz to another teenage boy on the sixth floor. The Spetsnaz rapidly moved down the hallway and up to the sixth floor. The teenage boy on the sixth floor shouted "Russians" as loud as he could until the Spetsnaz tackled his ass to the floor and broke his neck.

Deep in meditation, Hank sensed the minds of those in Kyiv and was alerted to the Spetsnaz actions. Upon searching their minds, he was able to determine their intent. Hank then turned to Beth. "You know what to do."

"Why don't you do it?" Beth asked resentfully. "You sympathetic because she has the same face?"

"I have a target of my own," Hank replied. "Karina is wounded. She will be no match for you."

"And the Spetsnaz?" Beth asked.

"The same," Hank said confidently.

The Batwing emerged from the forest ready to go and took off towards Kyiv. With intelligence from NATO, Beth went after a Russian II-76 transport plane headed toward Kyiv carrying paratroopers. The plane was not escorted and was an easy target. Beth fired air-to-air missiles at the plane destroying and killing a few dozen paratroopers in the blaze. The Batwing circled around Kyiv and found the apartment complex where Karina had crashed into. Beth glided out of the Batwing and landed on the roof.

Kyiv

On the ground level, pissed-off Ukrainian civilians armed with AK-47s being distributed around town fired on the Spetsnaz van penetrating its bullet-resistant windows and killing the driver inside. With the engine block penetrated, the Spetsnaz would have to recover Karina on foot now. A lone Spetsnaz guarding the fifth floor was suddenly ambushed by a civilian with a pistol.

Telepathically, Hank communicated to all the residents inside the building that the Spetsnaz were present. Suddenly, the Spetsnaz were ambushed by Ukrainian civilians armed with AK-47s on the seventh floor shooting down on them. With the advantage of the high ground, the Ukrainians shot and killed several Spetsnaz and forced their retreat. The Spetsnaz fired back ineffectually and exited the central section of the apartment complex to gain cover. Kicking a door in, the Spetsnaz shot the current resident and cleared a single studio. They then barricaded the door with a couch and a cabinet. A lone Spetsnaz went towards the window to take up a position when he was shot several times by Ukrainian snipers.

"Fuck," Lt. Yuri realized as half his men were dead. "Give me an ax."

Upon being handed an ax, he slammed it down on the wooden floor tearing it open. As he did, the Ukrainians fired into the door and attempted to get in. Upon making a hole in the floor, the Spetsnaz dropped into a fifth-floor studio apartment and were immediately ambushed by Ukrainians waiting for them. The Spetsnaz continued to drop into the studio, shot the Ukrainian defenders, and cleared the room. Lt. Yuri personally sliced a man's chest open with his ax. A zealous Ukrainian barged into the sixth-floor studio above and went down the hole. A Spetsnaz grabbed a hold of him and threw him out the window. The Spetsnaz fired up into the hole and into the studio door to keep the Ukrainians at bay.

The Spetsnaz then decided to ax their way to the fourth floor only to be blasted with machine gunfire just as they started. A Spetsnaz fell into the hole that had been made with his legs shredded. Two other Spetsnaz went to retrieve him only to get shot up as well. The Spetsnaz retaliated by firing down at the floor forcing the fourth-floor Ukrainians to retreat. In their desperation, the Spetsnaz placed a refrigerator up against the door. Running low on ammunition, they placed the door side of the refrigerator towards the door, placed two grenades inside, and then pushed the refrigerator through the shredded door towards the Ukrainian defenders creating an explosion that sent both sides to the floor dead and wounded.

With the Spetsnaz trapped and combat ineffective, Karina was now on her own. She made her way around the seventh floor and found Ukrainians wanting to take her out. As she did, she limped along. With Kryptonite shards all over her body, she was as weak and vulnerable as a human. A Ukrainian suddenly darted out with a knife. Karina dodged the swing, disarmed the man of his knife, and sliced him in the leg, dropping him. At the same time, she was ambushed by another Ukrainian with a baseball bat. Karina deflected the bat, pulled the man's leg up, and sliced deep into his leg. She then sliced towards her creating a gaping wound in the man's leg dropping him. Karina faced off against the third man with a knife. Karina sliced his arm and then his legs, dropping him. Karina then stabbed the fourth man in the throat and kicked him to the floor.

At this point, Karina was drawing attention to herself. Several Ukrainians attempted to engage her with bats, knives, and sword blades. Karina expertly evaded their swings and began cutting them up with her knife typically to their legs, chests, and necks. As she stabbed them, she would also give them bone-breaking kicks. Karina was eventually disarmed of her knife and had to fight with her martial arts. Karina slammed one Ukrainian defender into the wall repeatedly cracking his skull. After having killed or defeated several Ukrainians, Karina continued to make her way toward the center of the apartment complex. A Ukrainian ambushed her with a pistol from one of the studios. Karina evaded the pistol, forced the pistol back against the defender, and shot him in the neck.

Looking over the pistol, she found that it was empty. Casting the pistol aside, she exhaustedly went over to a random door and began knocking on it. "Open the door!" she told the occupant. "I'm an injured attractive woman. Please, I'm begging you. Look at me," Karina said through the eyehole.

The occupant was convinced and opened the door for her just as Batwoman turned the corner. "Holy shit," the Ukrainian said upon seeing Karina's injuries.

"I need a place to hide to recuperate," Karina requested.

"Stay here," the Ukrainian said opening the wall for her. In the tight space, Karina focused on herself as her disrupted energy pathways attempted to heal her very slowly.

Beth kicked the door open and looked around. "What the fuck?" the Ukrainian occupant wondered.

"Shut the fuck up, man. I'll bleed you," Beth threatened wide-eyed as she looked around. "You hiding the bitch here?"

"No, I swear," the Ukrainian lied.

"You wouldn't be lying to me, would you? I got no time for liars. Puts me in a bad mood. And when I'm in a bad mood, I tend to lash out," Beth told him.

"I promise. I'm telling you the truth," he said.

"Yeah, we'll see," Beth said skeptically and then eyed the studio. "What do we have here?" she wondered as she took out a Kryptonite blade and rudely took off the framed pictures. Karina was dead silent as Beth sliced through the wall with her blade several times. Finally, Beth sliced Karina to the cheek causing her to bleed and infecting the rest of her body.

At that moment, the Ukrainian resident began shouting and resisting Beth. She let go of her blade and proceeded to beat his ass. "Look, I'm getting really tired of your shit," Beth told him off.

"There's no one here," the Ukrainian insisted.

"Yeah, bullshit," Beth doubted.

"I told you the truth. Now, just leave me alone," the man said pathetically.

"I will slice you," Beth said impatiently.

Meanwhile, Karina managed to get an mm distance between herself and the blade and cleaned off the blade of blood as Beth retrieved it. Satisfied, Beth placed her Kryptonite blade back in its sheath on her back and exited the room. Karina exited the wall and gave the Ukrainian a grateful look. Taking a knife, she heated it up on the stove and then burned the wound on her cheek. She proceeded to do the same with some of her other injuries.

A few floors down, only three Spetsnaz were left alive including Lt. Yuri in a studio apartment. They began to argue about what to do. "Think about it, lieutenant. She's got to be dead already. I'm sorry, but we're not going up there. We wouldn't stand a chance," a sergeant told him.

Lt. Yuri slammed the sergeant up against the wall. "Listen to me, you prick. When it comes to the life of the asset, it would be wise for you to shut the fuck up. You want to talk about risking lives? Without the asset, thousands of Russian soldiers will be dead, and Ukrainians, too. She's the key to ending this way right now."

"You've already risked your entire squad. They're dead now and so will we," the sergeant protested.

"Remember your rank," Lt. Yuri reminded him.

"Rank counts for shit right now," the sergeant told him off. "We're not here to do good. We're here to make Putin and his friends rich."

"Another time for your political bullshit. We're going back up there to get the asset. Any objections?" Lt. Yuri asked with a crazed expression. "Move out," he said to them both.

As soon as the three left, Batwoman kicked Lt. Yuri in the face stunning him. She immediately shot the other two to death with her pistol. Lt. Yuri took hold of Batwoman and threw her up against the wall. The two both fell to the floor and faced each other. Beth pointed her pistol at Lt. Yuri's face while he only had a knife in his hand. Beth gestured for him to lower his knife to the floor slowly. Once they were both back on their feet, Beth gestured for Lt. Yuri to go back inside the apartment. Closing the door behind her, she continued to point her pistol at his head.

After a momentary pause, Beth went over to the kitchen and placed her pistol on the counter. She took out the magazine and cleared the chamber. "I never really liked using these. Takes away the rush. Squeezing the trigger is like take-out. Now, this is the thing. This is the pulse. This is what I do," Beth said referring to her gloved hands.

Beth then attacked with a flurry of punches and kicks that put Lt. Yuri on the defensive and took him to a knee. As Lt. Yuri tried to recover, Beth continued to kick at him getting hits to the face. Upon getting to his feet, Lt. Yuri blocked Beth's punches, took hold of her, and then swung her down to the floor. Beth quickly got up and took the initiative again forcing Lt. Yuri up against the wall with punches and kicks. After several kicks to the body, Lt Yuri took hold of Beth and flipped her to the floor. Lt. Yuri then took the initiative, pushing Beth to the floor. Beth quickly recovered and slammed Lt. Yuri's head against the wall with her boot. Lt. Yuri picked up Beth and slammed her against a dresser. Taking hold of her, Lt. Yuri attempted to choke her out.

The Russian was stronger and arguably well-trained. Beth also came into this fight overconfident after defeating so many weak-ass villains in Gotham. Beth elbowed Lt. Yuri in the gut a few times, slammed his head down on her knee, and ran up the wall to escape his hold. Beth then slammed her knee into his face stunning him. Beth pounded on Lt. Yuri with kicks and punches while he was on the floor. Lt. Yuri rushed her, forced her to the floor, and tried to strangle her. Beth sliced at his face with her armguard forcing him off.

The two fought evenly with devastating punches and kicks. As they hit the floor, they wrestled with each other punching each other as they did. Lt. Yuri got on top of Beth punching her several times to her back as he did. Beth flipped him off of her and the two kicked at each other until Beth slammed his face into her knee. Lt. Yuri was now on the floor seriously hurt from all the knee kicks to his face and other injuries he had sustained. Beth took a short breather and then charged taking his head and flipping him against a table destroying it. Beth stumbled about as she went over to Lt. Yuri and then slit his throat with her armguard.

Karina stumbled out of the room, having stopped her bleeding. She made her way to the eighth floor and saw a Ukrainian keeping guard on the ninth. Reaching up, she grabbed the guard and then threw him down to his death at the bottom. Now on the ninth floor, Karina was ambushed by a second Ukrainian. She grabbed a hold of him and then flung him into a room that happened to be used for making explosives in a primitive lab.

"I hope I'm not interrupting," Karina said dryly.

"Russian bitch, get her!" they shouted.

Karina took out #1 man with a flurry of punches to the torso and then slammed him against the wall. She then neck-chopped #2 man and kicked underneath his legs dropping him. The #3 man grabbed a hold of Karina and held her in place for a few seconds. Karina elbowed his back repeatedly until he released her and then threw him up against the wall. Karina then engaged the #4 man briefly with punches and kicks before she went on to the #5 man with punch slams to the neck. Karina then choked the #5 man out and slammed him onto a table. Karina backhanded #6 man stunning him. As he fell, she slammed her boot on his neck breaking it. Karina engaged the #7 man for several seconds with them both being evenly matched in punches and kicks. Karina finally kicked him in the teeth with her boot knocking him out. Karina then grabbed the #8 man by his leg as he went for a kick and slammed him up against a pillar. The #9 man fought Karina briefly before Karina took a hold of his neck and flipped him against a table. As he fell, Karina slammed his head to the floor with a kick.

At this point, one Ukrainian got himself a knife and tried to stab Karina. She quickly disarmed him and then proceeded to stab three Ukrainian fighters to death in quick succession. Another Ukrainian attempted to knife her as well. Karina and the Ukrainian fought briefly with their knives until Karina stabbed him to the gut, took hold of his neck, and slit his throat. As one of the Ukrainians attempted to run, Karina threw the knife into his back dropping him. Karina then engaged a Ukrainian fighter for several seconds until she repeatedly punched him in the face eventually dropping him. One Ukrainian tried to ambush Karina with a kick. She held up his leg, dropped his body to the floor, and then broke his neck with a boot slam. The last fighter was particularly skilled, and Karina was beginning to tire. The two battled it out for a good minute before Karina finally gave him knock-out punches to the face dropping him.

Looking around, Karina had killed or severely injured roughly twenty men. As she approached the stairwell, a Ukrainian ambushed her with a pistol. Karina took control of the man's pistol, slowly moved the muzzle toward the man's face, and then fired killing him. Two Ukrainian men heard the noise and rushed her. Karina quickly shot them both dead and then threw the empty gun away. As she reached the stairwell, Beth was waiting for her with a door open to a storage room.

"I killed your men," Beth said to her.

"I've killed more," Karina replied.

"Quality over quantity," Beth countered. "You going to run off?"

"I suppose not," Karina said as she followed Beth into the room and closed the door behind them. Beth casually took off her cowl to give her full vision and put it aside.

Beth then engaged Karina with a fresh assault. After a flurry of punches and kicks, neither woman could be forced up against the wall. Beth then took hold of Karina and threw her to the floor and kicked her to the gut for good measure. Karina quickly recovered and kicked Beth away. Karina pushed Beth towards the wall with several punches and then kicked underneath her dropping her. Karina got on the floor with her where they kicked and tried to put each other in a wrestling hold. Beth escaped Karina and quickly got back to her feet. Karina was on her in a flash but was taken down to the floor again. Karina got back up but was hit several times and then kneed to the face sending her back down. Overly ambitious, Beth went for a kick only for Karina to catch her and fling her across the room. Karina chased after Beth only to be kicked in the head and chest, dropping her.

Beth and Karina engaged one more putting each other in holds. The two wrestled for control until Beth slammed Karina back to the floor. The fight quickly became one-sided as Beth evaded all of Karina's blows. Beth slammed her knee into her gut and punched her to the face repeatedly. Karina desperately tried to hold onto Beth to stop her momentum. Beth wasn't having it as she slammed Karina's back several times and threw her off of her. As Karina came up, Beth kicked her to the gut, took her by the neck, and threw her back down. Karina went for a kick which Beth caught and rolled with her on the floor. The two wrestled on the floor as Karina tried to break Beth's leg. Beth got out of the hold and kicked Karina away. The two got back to their feet with Karina putting Beth in a chokehold. Beth leaped up and threw Karina off of her. The two continued to pummel each other with Beth gradually weakening.

The two ended up on the floor with Karina attempting to put a chokehold on Beth. The two struggled briefly with Beth repeatedly slamming Karina to the head with her elbow until she got free. Karina grabbed for Beth only to be hit with punches and then slammed against the wall. Beth then punched Karina to the face continuously as her head was up against the wall. Karina tried to escape only to have her head kicked back against the wall. Beth grabbed Karina and slammed her head up against the wall a few times. Beth then threw Karina aside on the floor. As Karina tried to get back up, Beth held her and then punched her to the torso and face dropping her.

Beth panted as Karina quickly got back to her feet. Karina advanced on Beth with a flurry of attacks and punches that forced her back. Beth then used Karina's momentum against her by catching her and then throwing her to the floor. Karina was then in the fetal position hurt and exhausted. Beth simply looked down on Karina with her usual cold eyes. She pulled a limp Karina off the floor and put her in a final chokehold to kill her. Karina resisted slightly as Beth put the hold on her.

"Not your fight," Karina gasped.

"Not yours either, Kryptonian," Beth spat back.

Karina suddenly slammed the back of her head into Beth's chin stunning her. The two fell to the floor knocked out.

Soon thereafter, Karina awoke and saw Beth still on the floor knocked out cold. Karina's entire body was in pain with cuts, bruises, and internal injuries. She looked disdainfully at Beth and then exited the room with a limp. Finally, she reached the top floor and went to the roof. Unable to fly, Karina resorted to shouting in Russian. "A wide scope for dreams and for life! The coming years open to us! We are given strength by our fidelity to the Fatherland! So it was, so it is, and it will always be so!"

The Ukrainian intercom system across several buildings responded to Karina in kind in Ukrainian on repeat. "The glory of Ukraine has not yet perished, nor the will. Still upon us, young brothers, fate shall smile. Our enemies shall vanish, like dew in the sun. We too shall rule, brothers, our country."

Karina looked around hopelessly as the Russian air force was nowhere to be seen. Twin Ukrainian helicopters arrived on the scene. A squad of soldiers exited the helicopter and apprehended Karina. "Are there any survivors?" the squad leader asked her in Russian.

"Maybe...maybe not...maybe go fuck yourself," Karina said defiantly.

The squad leader eyed Karina's injured and weakened appearance. "We'll have the Justice Society of America take care of her." Karina gave him a curious look and then saw a blackbird circle around the city. Karina eyed the blackbird with trepidation, sensing dread from it.

Task Force X-Somewhere, Alaska

The Justice Society's blackbird flew over the mountains of Alaska and approached Amanda Waller's secret base. The cockpit of the blackbird detached and glided towards the frozen lake. The rest of the blackbird went on autopilot flying around in circles. Hawkman and Dr. Fate braced themselves as the cockpit dived into the frozen lake. The cockpit became a submarine and headed toward the underwater base. Hawkman turned on the lights of the submarine as he couldn't see a thing.

"So beautiful," Dr. Fate smiled. "Hey, relax," he said to a very tense Hawkman.

Outside the base is freezing water with crushing pressure. Inside the base is Amanda Waller," Hawkman said apprehensively.

"That's fair," Dr. Fate allowed.

The submarine cockpit docked with the underwater base. A forcefield kept the water back as the submarine entered. Emelia Harcourt came out to meet them wearing black shiny leather as if she knew she was evil. She also had a SWAT team with her. Hawkman and Dr. Fate brought forth the unconscious subdued Supergirl on a medical slab. The facility, itself, seemed to be constantly wet with pools of water on the floor and water leaking from the ceiling.

"Surprised to see us?" Hawkman asked Emelia.

"Seeing as how only a very few individuals on the planet even know of this base and seeing as how we required you to provide us your flight path, that's a stupid-ass question," Emelia mocked.

"I was just trying to be social, God damn," Hawkman said defensively. "Hey, why is it always moist in here?"

"Moist is a dirty word here," Emelia scolded.

"Are you sure you can handle her?" Dr. Fate asked uncertainly.

"You're the one that can see the future. You'll tell us if we can't," Emelia said smartly.

"Now, if I actually knew her future right now, I wouldn't have asked," Dr. Fate pointed out.

"Just be careful with this one," Hawkman warned.

"Don't worry. Instead of her burying us, it will be the other way around," Emelia smiled. "Waller sends her regards." Emelia then took Karina away into a containment cell. Kryptonite handcuffs were placed on her wrists, a ventilator was placed in her mouth, and she was placed in suspended animation inside a water capsule. The capsule then glowed green for extra protection. The capsule was then placed among hundreds of other meta-humans Amanda Waller had collected, many of which were given to her by Hank Henshaw and J'onn J'onzz over the years.

25th March, Kyiv

A month after the war had started, the Russians still lacked air superiority and the Ukrainians had been able to hold them back from taking the capital. Alina spoke with her generals on what they should do next. "We came here expecting a quick easy win with the asset available to us," one general said.

"This isn't NATO or even Germany. This is fucking Ukraine!" Alina snapped at them. "We shouldn't need the asset to win. Have your men dig trenches, place mines, and take a defensive position for the time being."

Alina then exited the ruined building to get some air. "You got a cigarette?" a Russian private asked her.

"The fuck did you ask me, private?" Alina asked dismayed.

The private suddenly morphed into J'onn and fired heat vision on her creating a crater in the dirt. J'onn looked around in all directions for Alina. It couldn't have been that easy. Alina reformed behind him and then blasted his body to pieces with J'onn's head rolling on the ground. An electrical surge suddenly hit Alina causing her body to spasm. Hankwman landed on the ground and extended his wings. Nia, also dressed as a Russian private, created a forcefield bubble around Alina's body to prevent her from escaping. Alina struggled against the hold she was in. Russian soldiers, realizing something was up, rushed to the scene. Suddenly, they felt they were back in their own homes away from the battlefield.

Dr. Fate landed on the ground and then created multiple copies of himself to prevent any Russian soldiers from interfering. "Are you quite alright, J'onn?" Dr. Fate asked him.

"I've felt worse," J'onn said as he had regrown his whole body from his head. He then materialized his Martian Manhunter clothes around his body.

"Your power of regeneration is quite OP," Dr. Fate complimented.

"Coming from you, it must be," J'onn scoffed.

"I feel him being here makes me redundant," Nia frowned.

"Well...yes...this is true," Dr. Fate agreed.

"Writhe, bitch, writhe," Hawkman smiled at Alina.

"I think you can stop that now. We're here to negotiate, remember?" Dr. Fate said. Hawkman ended his electrical surges, Nia dropped her forcefield, and Alina was finally given some relief. Dr. Fate then placed a forcefield around all of them to prevent the Russians from interrupting.

"Who the fuck are you?" Alina gasped as she reformed herself.

"We're the Justice Society of America," Dr. Fate replied.

"Then, why are you an Irish Brit?" Alina asked upon hearing his accent.

"That's a good question. I'm not American, either. I'm a Thanagarian alien," Hawkman brought up.

"The jet is American," Dr. Fate explained.

"You going to destroy the Russian army now that Karina has been captured?" Alina assumed.

"We're here to play a small part in reducing the bloodshed. We won't interfere in this conflict if you go home," Dr. Fate said gently.

"You all will promise non-interference if I leave? All of you for just me?" Alina asked skeptically. "I call bullshit."

"You do yourself an injustice. We know how lethal you can be, Director Alina Lanina," Dr. Fate said and then took off his helmet to reveal his true face. "When I touch this helmet, all I see is constant death. I see bodies exploding in fountains of blood. Before you refuse our offer, know that we have two other members that can turn into a giant and another that can manipulate the wind. Do you really want to see your men stomped to death or a tornado in your camp?"

"I can't just leave. I have a duty to my country," Alina resisted.

"You will serve your country best by agreeing to our terms," Dr. Fate told her.

Alina looked over the four of them knowing she couldn't defeat them all. This wasn't even the Justice League. Without Karina, she couldn't defeat all of the Western superheroes. "It has to be more than just your society. It has to be all of you," Alina replied.

"Very well," Dr. Fate agreed and then lowered the forcefield.

J'onn cracked his neck and then transformed into a typical Russian soldier. "So, that's it?" Nia wondered.

"Yeah, let's get you out of here. They don't really take kindly to your kind," J'onn said, taking Nia away. Dr. Fate and Hawkman also flew away and entered their blackbird jet overhead.

Alina frowned and walked away from her unit defeated. She looked back at her men she was abandoning one last time and then slowly walked away into the distance. Shortly thereafter, Russian forces withdrew from Kyiv. The Battle for Kyiv was over.

13th April, Odesa

Beth ignored the memo to withdraw and continued her presence on the battlefield. The Moskva cruiser was 186 meters long and 12,490 tons with a crew of five hundred. She carried 30 anti-air missiles, 16 anti-ship missiles, six guns, and torpedoes, and held a helicopter deck. The ship was the Russian Black Sea flagship and was preparing for an amphibious assault on Odesa.

The Batwing approached the ship with anti-ship missiles. The weather was stormy, and visibility was greatly hindered. Beth then exited out of stealth mode so the Russian ship would see her. Immediately, the ship noticed her and locked onto her. The Batwing came in close to the ship and fired anti-ship missiles. The Moskva fired two anti-air missiles at the Batwing's missiles intercepting them. The Batwing continued to fire more missiles at close range. The Moskva began firing Gatling guns to take down the missiles destroying them one by one before they could get hit.

"Sir, our radar systems are malfunctioning in the storm," one lieutenant reported.

"Intensify our forward batteries. I don't want anything to get through," the captain ordered. The Batwing fired the last of its missiles at the ship. "Intensify forward power!" the captain shouted.

As Moskva successfully took down the Batwing missiles, two anti-ship missiles from mobile platforms on land hit the ship hard from the opposite direction. "Too late!" the XO shouted as the bridge was hit in a fireball. The Ukrainians on land cheered as the Moskva was hit twice and was rapidly sinking as explosions ripped through the ship. The Batwing circled around the mortally wounded Russian warship and flew back toward Ukraine giving the Ukrainian defenders a symbolic thumbs up as she passed.

Beth landed the Batwing in the water where it docked in Mariupol. She entered the ruined city even as it was under siege and met up with Ukrainian defenders. "That was one in a million," the Ukrainians said to her referring to the Moskva being hit.

"You guys hit the bastards. I was just flying around," Beth downplayed.

One of the Ukrainian defenders morphed into J'onn. "You were given orders to leave," he told her.

"I don't follow rules, not even my own," Beth reminded him. "Besides, I'm no superhero. I'm just a girl with gadgets."

"You underestimate yourself. You defeated Supergirl," J'onn said.

"I saw it differently," Beth said subdued.

"You don't have to be a martyr," J'onn said upon reading her thoughts.

"Martyrs are known. No one is going to know that Beth Kane died in Mariupol. If anything, they'll say it was Kate," Beth said somberly.

"Well, if I can't convince you to leave, maybe your father will," J'onn said and then took off.

Beth gave J'onn an odd look and then saw Jacob Kane by himself in civilian cold-weather clothes with a rifle in his hands. "You shouldn't be here. Kate is gone...as we know her. I was dead to you long ago. You should have stayed in San Francisco with your wife and brat stepdaughter."

"I know everything now," Jacob told her.

"Then what's there to discuss?" Beth asked.

"I've made terrible mistakes. My entire family is distant from me. My career is over, but I can't enjoy the peace. I came to Gotham; I stayed in Gotham because it let me keep fighting. Ever since your mother died, I have never had peace," Jacob admitted.

"Nor have I," Beth replied. "Shall we die together here, you and I, father and daughter."

"You can escape this place and take on a new identity," Jacob shook his head.

"I have killed hundreds of people, many of them innocent. Just now, I helped kill a few hundred more. Every night is full of nightmares. I want to go out fighting," Beth told him.

"Well...then we'll give them hell, together," Jacob said resolved.

22nd May, Mariupol

For over a month, Jacob and Beth fought together with distinction as the Russians made their way closer to them. The food was bad, people were dying everywhere to fighting and disease, and ammunition was low. The Batwing was already out of ammunition and fuel. Beth then destroyed it to prevent the Russians from getting it. Only a few holdouts still remained within the giant steel mill complex. "How do you compare this to Iraq?" Beth asked interestedly.

"It's just colder," Jacob said gruffly.

Beth smiled at that. "It looks like it might be a beautiful day."

Russian tanks fired on the still mill interrupting them. "Incoming!" Jacob shouted as the shells blasted holes in the multi-story structure they were in. The already gutted building was barely standing. Beth and Jacob made their way around the building avoiding getting hit by shells. The elevator, never trustworthy to begin with, was now completely disabled.

Russian infantry approached the first floor of the structure even as their tanks were shelling it. Jacob and Beth fired on the squad taking them out quickly. Jacob and Beth quickly took cover as their position got shelled. More Russian infantry headed inside the building. Jacob waited for two men to get past him through an empty door and then shot them in the head with his pistol. He then shot a few more before taking cover from a shell. The blast was close enough that it made Jacob temporarily deaf. A helicopter then appeared right next to Jacob ready to make the kill.

The Russian tanks moved up a bit and continued to fire. A squad of Russian infantrymen on motorcycles then entered the building. Beth slammed one of them with the butt of her rifle flipping his bike over. She then threw a Batarang into the tires of another causing him to lose control and fall several stories below. Beth shot the first Russian dead and took his bike. She expertly rode the bike around the complex and then leaped off a ledge towards a Russian helicopter. She leaped off the bike at the right exact moment and took hold of the helicopter door. She fired her pistol into the window of the helicopter, unlocked the door, and then got in. The Russian pilot fought her briefly until she kicked him out.

Beth piloted the Russian helicopter around the building and found the second one. She fired its machine guns at the second helicopter causing it to crash before it could fire on her father. She then fired on the Russian infantry following the tanks. Beth then fired two missiles at one of the tanks destroying it. She found another company and fired on them killing scores of Russian infantrymen. She fired her remaining missiles at another tank destroying it.

Inside the structure, Jacob slit the throat of the last man in an infantry squad and then snuck up behind the rest of the squad. At the right moment, he shot them all dead with his rifle. He proceeded to shoot two more who went around the corner. Two more soldiers fired on Jacob forcing him to get cover. He threw a grenade at them killing them. Jacob then encountered another squad shooting at him. He fired an M203 grenade launcher from his rifle causing mass casualties. Noticing two Russians trying to repel down from the roof, he threw a grenade into the air as he passed by. The grenade detonated into the air killing them both with perfect timing.

Beth was pursued by two Russian attack helicopters firing at her. She attempted to navigate around the steel mill as low as she could. One of the helicopters hit a tower and crashed. Beth was finally hit and started to crash. She piloted the helicopter back toward her previous position and allowed herself to crash. Upon exiting the helicopter, Beth took cover inside the structure.

Jacob ended up in a one-on-one battle with a large Russian man. The two fought with knives until Jacob slammed his head into a wall, sliced his legs to drop him, and then slit his throat. Other Ukrainian fighters were having a good 'ol time with their own kills throughout the structure. On the bottom floor, Beth was shot a few times by an officer with a pistol. She shrugged it off, disarmed the man of his pistol, shot a few men with it around her, and then flipped the officer onto the floor where she then shot him in the head. Beth used a combination of pistol shooting, throwing knives, and martial arts as she went through several men. At this point, her bat suit was showing through her ragged clothes.

"This has got to be the happiest day of my life," Beth smiled as she shot several men with her pistols while using a pool table as cover.

Out of bullets, Beth began knifing fools and slitting throats with her armguards. She then kicked a soldier in the hand and took his AK-47. "You finished?" Beth asked Jacob once she found him. In the time he had killed one, she had killed around twenty.

Jacob and Beth fought back-to-back as they shot and took down a few more Russian soldiers on the first floor. The Russians then backed out of the structure as tanks and artillery got into position. Tanks and artillery pounded the structure while the infantry formed a perimeter to prevent their escape. "The roof?" Beth suggested.

"Yeah, sure, fuck it," Jacob agreed.

The two of them made their way to the roof and saw the odds stacked against them. They were both wounded, exhausted, and sickly from Cholera. Beth shed her outer clothes revealing her bat-suit underneath. She then considered her mask hanging from her belt and thought better of it. "Your mother would have been proud of you," Jacob said sincerely.

"You think so?" Beth doubted.

"Whoever saves one, saves the world," Jacob recited.

"I love you, dad. I always have," Beth said sincerely.

The two embraced and then the structure was hit with non-stop shells from the tanks and artillery. The Russians kept firing until the entire structure was demolished.

Task Force X-Somewhere, Alaska

Puddles of water near Karina's capsule began to shift, then come together, and gradually formed a head. That head continued to grow taking all the water around it until it formed a feminine figure. Alina took form and regained her coloring. She looked over Karina's capsule. "I know you can hear me. The battle you were meant to fight is upon us. Now, you are the only one that can bring balance to this world."

Alina raised her hand and caused the capsule to explode with the water inside the capsule showering the floor. Karina fell to the floor dazed and confused with the handcuffs still on her wrists. Alina placed her hands on her handcuffs and flowed water inside every crack. She increased the water pressure inside the cuffs until they suddenly broke off. Alina then worked to pull the ventilator out of Karina's throat.

"I had a feeling you would show up, Director Alina Lanina," Amanda Waller's sinister voice said through the intercom.

"Show yourself, Waller," Alina demanded.

"I'd rather stay alive, thank you. I have too much work left to do," Amanda smiled, a safe distance away within the facility. "I've always respected you, but our little game is at an end."

Alina then eyed Hawkman and Dr. Fate approaching her. With one hand, she tried to keep the two at bay. With the other hand, she tried to wake Karina up. Karina got repeated jolts to her body as Alina used the water in her body. "You both could have been the saviors of this world. Instead, you became its destroyer," Dr. Fate rebuked.

"You have no right to call us unworthy," Alina snapped.

"Fate does not make mistakes," Dr. Fate told her.

"You're wrong about us. The world doesn't always need a white knight. Sometimes, it needs something darker," Alina told him.

"Enough of this bullshit," Hawkman said as he placed his mace on the floor. Electricity surged across the water on the floor zapping Alina hard. She screamed in pain as she had a spasm. Dr. Fate placed a forcefield around Alina's body to keep her from moving.

Alina's screams of agony awoke Karina. She noticed Alina struggling with horror. She immediately grabbed the ventilator from her mouth and pulled it out. A SWAT team arrived on the scene and beat Karina down. They then pulled her back up to give her beatings to the torso. Karina threw them off of her and started punching the SWAT team members down to the floor with punches and kicks. Still weakened and disoriented, she could only hurt them at this point. One SWAT team member fired his rifle at her. Karina used another man as a shield to block the bullets. Karina grabbed the SWAT team member's rifle and beat him over the head with it. She evaded their strikes making them hit each other and then beat the rest of them down.

Karina then turned to Alina still struggling against Hawkman's mace and Dr. Fate's forcefield. Karina desperately tried to use her heat vision but couldn't fire off a beam. She tried to use her frost breath only to cough up water in the attempt. "Leave me," Alina said to Karina in between moans of pain.

"Don't you dare give up on me. I need you," Karina said sobbingly.

More SWAT team members arrived. They immediately fired on Karina hitting her body with bullets. Due to her weakened state, these bullets did puncture her flesh. Karina was hit several times to the torso and back. She gave Alina a look of horror and then struggled to reach the water held back by the forcefield towards the end of the hanger. Hawkman fell to a knee exhausted, unable to continue electrifying the floor. Dr. Fate also relented on his forcefield over Alina knowing what would happen next.

"What are you doing? Don't let her go," Hawkman said exhaustedly.

"After so much death and pain, her last moment will be that of love," Dr. Fate replied.

Karina fell to the floor severely injured and barely able to move. Dr. Fate placed forcefields around each of the SWAT members to protect them from Alina's powers. Alina struggled to reform herself, her body fluctuating between clear and color. Her feet sucked to the floor and became water with every step. Her whole body rippled uncontrollably from top to bottom and back up. The bullets from the SWAT team punched her full of holes, holes that didn't immediately reform. She began to lose structural integrity as she reached Karina.

"I can't move, this is the end," Karina gasped. "It was always my fate to fail, a failed copy."

"No fate...but what...we make," Alina reminded her and then picked her up off the floor. Alina then forced herself and Karina through the forcefield into the icy waters. As Alina dissolved in the water, with her last effort, she pushed Karina up to the surface. She then faded into the water. Alina was gone.

20th October, Task Force X-Somewhere, Alaska

A SWAT team finally found Karina nearby the base. She was in a kneeling position staring into the lake. She was wearing the ragged clothes of a former scout that had the misfortune of running into her. Her eyes remained on the lake as if hoping for Alina to return. The SWAT team cautiously moved closer to Karina with rifles ready. "Check her out," the squad leader ordered the most junior member of the team.

"Shit," he muttered and then went over to her.

The SWAT team was reasonably certain they could handle her conventionally. From their last intel, she still had Kryptonite shards in her body greatly weakening her. The junior team member got closer to Karina. She paid him no mind as she continued to stare in a kneeling position. "Hey, bitch, let me see your hands," he ordered.

Karina suddenly grabbed him by the throat faster than he could react. She took him off his feet and slowly burned him alive with her heat vision. The SWAT team member screamed in agony as his clothes, then skin, then muscles slowly melted off his bones until only a roasted skeleton remained. She then crushed the skeleton's vertebra sending the skull sliding across the ice.

"Open fire," the squad leader ordered.

Karina caught a bullet with minimal effort and let hundreds of bullets hit her all over her torso. The bullets merely bounced off as before. "You still think me weak?" she taunted them as she began to float off the ice. The SWAT team continued to fire at her non-stop. With super speed, Karina beat down each of the squad members with lethal attacks. She slammed one into an ice wall killing him instantly. One tried to take cover behind an ice mound only for Karina to punch through the ice, grab his throat, and blast him with heat vision.

"We need immediate backup. Send everything you got," the squad leader radioed.

Karina grabbed one man and threw him so hard that his arm was ripped off. Karina grabbed another man and slammed him hard enough on a glacier mound that his skull was destroyed. She threw another into the air and fired heat vision with pinpoint accuracy toward his grenade pouch. He exploded mid-air. After dispatching the SWAT team, Karina floated higher into the air where she was met by two American attack helicopters. Several Humvees, troop carriers, and anti-aircraft SAM trucks also arrived on the scene.

"Light the bitch up," Amanda Waller ordered via radio.

The two helicopters fired missiles on Karina. When the smoke cleared, she wasn't to be found. Karina suddenly took hold of one of the helicopters and slammed it against the other. Both helicopters exploded and hit the ground sending metal debris into the convoy. Karina fired heat vision on a company of Waller's soldiers killing them instantly. At the same time, she casually threw flying helicopter blades into a truck. She caught a grenade by one of the soldiers and placed it in his mouth. She then slammed her hands together tumbling the men and vehicles across the ice.

The SAM truck fired on her from the side. Karina redirected the missile to hit another truck destroying it. Vehicles were quickly destroyed in less than a second. "Oh, shit," the soldier with the grenade in his mouth realized and then exploded. Karina casually walked away from the burning battlefield. One remaining soldier fired an RPG with Kryptonite at her. Karina merely dodged it and then fired heat vision on the soldier blasting him to pieces. Karina sighed as she meditated on her power level. She could still feel the Kryptonite shards interfering with her power. Even now, she hadn't managed to dig them all out yet. After scanning the battlefield to make sure everyone was dead, Karina flew off.

At the Justice Society of America, Hawkman was watching satellite imagery nervously. He had just seen Karina slaughter Amanda Waller's men effortlessly. However, he did notice Karina was not nearly as strong as she was before. "What do you think?" Amanda Waller interrupted.

"If we lock her down, we could keep more people from getting hurt," Hawkman said ambitiously. "Oh, and good morning to you, too."

"Shove it up your ass, Carter. I just lost an entire company," Amanda Waller said annoyed. "I've seen Red Daughter in action before. She's not at full strength yet. But the longer we wait, the harder it will be to take her down."

"Wheels up in 30," Hawkman said ready to go.

"Who's on the team?" Amanda asked.

"Myself, of course, Dr. Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher," Hawkman replied.

"You mean there is now Atom, Captain Atom, and Atom Smasher?" Amanda questioned.

"Yes," Hawkman confirmed.

"He looks like a Deadpool rip-off," Amanda rolled her eyes. "And he's a rip-off of Deathstroke."

"I acknowledge this," Hawkman said undeterred.

"I have serious doubts about this team," Amanda said uncertainly.

"Dr. Fate has god-level powers and is OP as fuck," Hawkman said defensively. "Also, I'm as strong as Superman," he boasted.

"Let's not get too crazy," Amanda rebuked. "You sure you can take her?"

"You build her a cell...again, and we'll do the rest," Hawkman said confidently.

"I'm not interested in capturing her this time. You kill that bitch," Amanda ordered.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa...we don't kill," Hawkman protested.

"Good luck with that," Amanda doubted and then signed off.

"This is going to be fun," Hawkman said naively.

Mariupol

Karina walked towards the steel mill in a fresh Red Daughter uniform. She walked by a number of shell-shocked Russian troops that gave her an odd look, wondering where she had been this entire time. Karina walked inside the steel mill alone and found a cemetery of sorts with a large collection of crosses. She went through the wreckage and then found a mask. Karina picked it up and looked over the Batwoman mask for a moment. Karina then dropped the mask and looked up at the sky. Despite it being in the day, a bat flapped its wings and glided away. Karina then walked away alone.

To be continued...

Author's Notes: This chapter took from Top Gun, Raid Redemption, Expendables 3, Black Adam, and others. My journey with Alice/Beth has been interesting and fun. She is my Batwoman for Seasons 2 and 3 on Adventures of Batwoman. I felt this chapter gave Jacob and Beth the end and closure they needed. I tried to keep Karina sympathetic with her loss and grief. Some of you may not give a shit and that's fair. Some of you might have gotten the feels and that's okay, too. Black Kara is next and that should be it for this series.
